Church Bells Are Ringing

It took a lot of planning to get here, but the day of the wedding has finally arrived.

Being around humans for as long as he has been now, you'd think Castiel would understand the importance of a wedding ceremony. However, what's with getting married under the eyes of God when God isn't around to witness? Perhaps he's being too literal with the whole thing, perhaps he's just nervous.

Perhaps he's just an angel.

But Castiel would like to think that you've turned him into more of a man than a supernatural entity. He's felt more down here on Earth than he's ever felt in Heaven.

"Cas! What the hell are you doing?!" Dean's exasperated voice cut through his lost thoughts. The angel turned around to see Sam and Dean standing at the door to his room.

"Get dressed!" Dean emphasized as he gestured towards his friend. Castiel looked down to see that he was still in his robe, which was open and fully exposed to the boys. Sam looked appalled and Dean looked outraged.

"You're supposed to be getting married! Pull yourself together!" Dean shouted at him as Castiel looked down at himself before looking back at his friends. Sam quietly agreed with his older brother.

Married...

The word still sounded weird to him. He was an angel, and this was way outside of the realm of normal for him. His fellow angels would definitely have some words for him. But to them, Castiel was a lost cause not worthy of saving. Let him scrounge around with the humans where he belongs. Little did they know, he quite preferred to be down here.

They didn't know what they were missing out on.

However, Castiel realized that the Winchesters were right. He needed to get ready...with some help from the boys.

When things were all said and done, they were outside at a venue. Castiel's instincts were to be nervous, however, he felt an odd sense of calm. Dressed in a dark suit with a blue tie, he waited. He was grateful for the boys who really helped him out during this time.

There was a reason he wanted Dean right by his side.

No one here really understood how a wedding was supposed to go down. Gabriel was the only one with a creative mind who really had a clue. Sam, Dean, and a small band of other people they knew were all living in a hunter's world. There wasn't a lot of people there, but there didn't need to be. There was a lot of love, and that's all that mattered.

"What happens now?" Castiel whispered to Dean, who stood by his side. Gabriel suddenly popped in, dressed similarly to Dean and Sam in dark shades of blue.

"You gotta wait for Y/N to come down the aisle. That's when things really start." The archangel said before disappearing again.

"Isn't he a groomsman as well?" Sam asked, and Dean shrugged. Castiel was starting to feel nervous now. This was the time that anything could go wrong. The time of waiting.

However, before he could flee like his instincts were screaming at him to do, music began to play.

All heads turned to look down that vacant aisle. Gabriel resumed his place by Dean, making Castiel relieved. The angel couldn't really tell what happened next. Everything seemed to move, but he could hardly retain it. That, or all he cared about was seeing you.

And when he finally did...his breath was stolen.

You were more of an angel than he ever would be. Dressed so beautifully, you made your way towards him. He was angel, he didn't have to really worry about breathing. Which was good because he was certain he stopped. Not only that, but he spaced out for a good long while. It wasn't until he felt a sharp nudge on his back that he realized you were standing right in front of him.

"Sorry...it's just...you look amazing." Castiel said, causing you to blush.

"I'm surprised...you look well put together." You told him, and Cas gave you a look. What's that supposed to mean? But he didn't even get time to ask before the pastor started to speak.

However, it was weird, Castiel didn't even remember him showing up. In fact, the man marrying you guys looked a little familiar. You didn't seem to think this as you grabbed your husband-to-be's hands. But these thoughts kept going through his head, and that's when he felt a tap on his shoulder.

Looking over, he saw Sam and Dean giving him concerned looks. That's when he noticed that Gabriel was missing. Widening his eyes, Castiel turned to look back at the pastor with fear.

That's when he received a wink and a smirk.

However, even with that, the wedding went great. There was no interruptions from demons or angels or other supernatural monsters. You guys were able to exchange rings and vows. Castiel was more of a mess than you were, however, tears were shed in both. He never knew that something that seemed so simplistic could make him feel so much.

But it was that kiss, the one that made you guys married, that made him realize that he made the right choice.

"We're together now...like actually." You told him, and he smiled instinctively. People were clapping and cheering. Gabriel resumed his place beside Dean, looking all too happy for his fledgling brother.

"I never thought that this would happen." Castiel mused and you agreed. Dean and Sam moved to give hugs and pats on the shoulder, and then, Gabriel appeared again.

"Now it's party time." He said with a grin, and a sparkle in his eye. After all, it was the archangel who planned most of it.

The reception was small yet fun. It was decorated nicely with shades of blue and (favorite color). Gabriel used some of his angel magic to add a serene feeling to the whole place. And instead of a wedding cake, there was pie. Dean was ecstatic.

"Dude...Best. Wedding. Ever." Dean said as he began to help himself.

"Dean...this is your only wedding." Sam said with a slight laugh.

"Shut up." Dean said after a moment, causing his younger brother to smirk.

"Jerk."

"Bitch."

Meanwhile, you and Castiel were enjoying your time together. Again, it wasn't very big (people wise, Gabriel went full out), but there was a lot of feeling. He couldn't stop staring at the ring on his finger, and then at the ring on yours. You guys were together, a pair, a partnership. You chose him to be with you.

He felt more blessed than any preacher anywhere.

And he has you, his friends, his family, and himself to thank for that.

so the thing is, i'm like. wildly hyperfixating on until dawn right now and i decided to platinum the game, which involves replaying it at least 3 times (in my case it took 6 because i'm bad at gaming lol) so i had a ton of time to think about this AU while i was watching the same unskippable cut-scenes over and over. the first thing i thought was "haha i also have a character named matt who's kind of a pushover" and the rest is history :')

characters

Josh = Finn: i knew i couldn't have an actual josh in this case because none of my characters would do exactly what he did, but the core elements of josh are already in finn: he was wronged by the people in his life he trusted the most, he lashes out when he feels strong emotions, and he's really just scared and lonely underneath it all. so then i thought, what if josh's fake ghost antics were an actual ghost? and who's better for that role than finn? however, his parents are definitely not rich, so the lodge couldn't belong to his family. that's why i decided to make it a larger hunting lodge where all kinds of hunters would come together. also did you notice how i didn't even tell you who killed finn in the AU because no spoilers :P

Sam = Asa: i actually don't care for sam tbh but she's the obvious leader of the group, the level-headed one, the angel on your shoulder. asa can be impulsive at times (especially in regards to finn) but he's still the person i would choose to be at my my side during a crisis. his parents are the only ones with money, so it makes sense for danny to purchase the lodge without visiting it himself. sam is also compassionate to josh and has somewhat of a romantic thing going on with him if you read it that way, so that fits for asa and finn.

Jessica = Elaine: jess (best girl!!!!!) is the first person with the possibility of dying, and her death/injury is the catalyst for multiple characters future decisions, so her equivalent had to be someone who's also strongly connected to numerous others. so elaine is perfect! she's also the only person of my group who i can imagine storming outside in the snow in her underwear to give her friends a piece of her mind fjskjds but she also has enough strength of character & resilience to make it realistic that she might survive so many injuries.

Mike = Austin: this felt like a no-brainer because austin already has knowledge about guns, he's fearless, and if elaine got hurt, austin would go fucking ballistic. he stops caring about his own survival and starts making brash, unwise choices. but that's where the similarities end, because i actually really hate mike and i feel bad comparing austin to him lmao. say what you will about austin, but he would never try to talk his way into having sex with a girl who literally says "i'm just not feeling it". i hate mike 😒

Chris = Stevie: now hear me out!! at first glance you might think stevie would be ashley. they cry a lot, they look to others for guidance, and they even look alike. but stevie strikes me as much more of a chris type, being that chris was never meant to be the hero. he's a goofy nerd who tells jokes when he's nervous and screams his head off any time he has to do something brave. and that's exactly what stevie's role in this AU is. despite her nature, she's making brave decisions for the benefit of her friends. (but this pic did remind me of ashley)

Matt = Matt: he's kinda just..... here. he cracks some jokes, he can either diffuse or encourage arguments, he plays second fiddle to his girlfriend most of the time. he tries to be the hero but fails miserably. but he has a good heart and he almost never does anything controversial.

Alisa = Ashley: alisa is WAY less outwardly emotional than ashley, but she has the same chaotic, contradictory nature. she cares about people, but she's also capable of coldly letting others die to save herself. she's good at making others feel protective of her even if she doesn't need protecting. she's VERY curious.

Jada = Emily: listen emily just doesn't fit with any of my characters even though i love her so much. but jada does share her determination in the face of fear, her will to survive at any cost, and the way she has the capability to soften up and be really sweet under the right circumstances. they're both much more resourceful and capable than you would initially think. but jada is more likely to follow others' guidance than make plans herself.

other stuff!

for the safe room scene, i thought it would be more interesting if it was the archetypal heroic boyfriend who was bitten and the archetypal damsel in distress who holds his fate in her hands. but there is no way in hell that austin would just sit there and let someone shoot him. when he takes alisa hostage, it almost makes it easier to shoot him; if he were pleading for his life, jada would never pull the trigger, no matter how much alisa told her to. but since he puts himself in the position of the aggressor (the exact thing they feared he would do) it becomes a more believable dilemma. of course, we learn later that the bite is not infectious and austin never would've turned, but none of them know that yet. even austin doesn't know. this scene in the game is extremely horrifying to me so i hope i did it justice in my AU too!

i said this in the replies too, but: the playthrough i envisioned with the stats and pictures makes these major choices: elaine initially survives the mine, matt dies by the rope, stevie's leg is fine, jada shoots austin (why she's covered in blood in her portrait), jada & alisa die in the explosion, stevie rescues elaine, and finn saves asa!

the swiss army knife in my AU basically has the same function as the flare gun in until dawn. if matt doesn't have it, he'll die. but if emily doesn't have it, she'll only be bitten. but getting the flare gun into the right hands is sooo convoluted so i had to simplify it for our purposes.

butterfly effects

i didn't include these because i was trying to keep things brief, but here's some of the other ideas i had:

if elaine & austin's relationship drops too low before they arrive at the guest cabin, then elaine won't kiss him and will go outside to look for her phone against his wishes. that's where she would be taken by the creature instead.

if jada and alisa don't find enough clues about finn's disappearance, then they will not recognize finn when they find his remains. this makes finn less likely to protect them later in the night.

if jada shot austin and her relationship with alisa is HIGH, then alisa will give herself injuries on her face to help corroborate their self defense story. if jada shot austin and her relationship with alisa is LOW, then alisa will be fascinated and say "i didn't know you had it in you..." but will not offer to corroborate the story. in both scenarios, alisa will then say she doesn't want to sit around with austin's body. jada will have the option of leaving with alisa or staying inside the safe room. jada can say no (alisa might survive, jada dies), or yes (they both might survive). or if they have a high relationship, she can convince alisa to stay too (they both die).

if matt survives the attack in the mines, then stevie's leg will be injured because she didn't have the knife, meaning she arrives much later to rescue elaine/matt. so if elaine is still alive, matt can find her in the mines and they have a conversation. they will both be impressed by each other's survival, and elaine will feel bad that matt is only in the mines because of her. she asks where austin is, but matt has no idea. then stevie shows up and the rest plays out as described!

after dawn

so obviously their relationships would vary wildly depending on who survives and what choices they made to get there.

in an everyone survives playthrough, austin and elaine would break up soon after the events of the game. if you notice, elaine's perception of austin went down a lot because austin didn't try to save her after she fell down the elevator. she felt abandoned by him when he was the most physically capable & experienced person who could have saved her, but instead it was her injured best friend who never gave up on her. so they're done lol. stevie and matt would break up amicably (for reasons unrelated to the night in question) and remain friends, because how could they not? as for alisa, she doesn't talk to any of them anymore. she was only ever close with jada in the first place, but after jada refused to shoot austin, she lost all trust in her. after finn's remains are found, his spirit is no longer chained to the lodge and he's able to join asa at home. this version of finn is like a normal ghost in that he can appear to anyone he wants. he becomes close friends with all of asa's friends, especially stevie. and then... a few years later... a family called the washingtons purchases the property for their kids (josh, beth, and hannah) to throw parties in. just kidding sjfkjsd sole survivor playthrough: with the outline i laid out, there's actually no way for each of them to be the sole survivor because i had to cut so much out for brevity (i know it doesn't seem like it lol). but it's possible for asa, stevie, elaine, or matt to be sole survivors. the most heartbreaking is probably stevie, who would've had to see matt's decapitated head, heard the lodge blow up with asa, jada, alisa, and austin inside, then watch elaine die right in front of her. so that's super fucked and i don't want to think about that anymore!! asa being the sole survivor makes the most sense logically, because he has finn to protect him for most of it. elaine or matt being the sole survivor would be if one of them dies early in the game and then stevie dies trying to help elaine/matt escape. in any case, i don't think all the therapy in the world could cure that amount of survivor's guilt... everyone dies playthrough: the group become ghosts who haunt the mountain. finn's body is never recovered because no one is alive to report it to the police, so he is never at peace either. danny still owns the property, so he destroys the cable car and builds a giant electrified fence so that, hopefully, no human will ever return to the cursed mountain. i can't even / don't want to imagine how any of their parents would be able to move on after such a tragedy, it makes me genuinely sad to think about :( everybody dies playthroughs are all fun and games until you think about what comes after 😭

ANYWAY THAT'S ALL!! thank you so much for indulging my frankly rabid brain fjskdjs i know i keep saying it, but until dawn is my most confusing obsession because i first played the game in 2015 and i wasn't a fan; i thought the characters were annoying and the gameplay was lacking. but a few months ago i randomly decided to watch a playthrough of the quarry and that made me want to give until dawn another chance, and now...... yeah. idk what happened here but now it's all i can think about lmao. but being able to talk about the game with other people is sooo fun and i'm really happy i did this!! 💖

Just want to jump in on the Ca$h ace discussion and say that my boyfriend & I were watching that scene where Ca$h tries to explain his ace feelings to Darren, my boyfriend said "what's that sexuality called? The one where you don't feel sexual attraction?" and I said "asexuality?" and he said "yeah, that's what he is!"

All this to say, IMO, it's the context matters when we're discussing whether or not the LGBTQIA+ rep is clear enough - not just whether they say the word.

E.g. my boyfriend did NOT notice Loki coming out as bi in Loki. Literally, I had to point it out and rewind it for him to realise. And sure, Loki could have looked at the camera and said "I'm bisexual" to make it super obvious, but it's sad that anything less than that was easy for so many people to miss.

Heartbreak High was able to make it super obvious Ca$h was asexual without ever actually saying the word, because they SHOWED him being ace. They explained it and built up to it and made it a part of Ca$h's character, so we had no choice but to see it as a major part of his sexuality and identity.

To be fair, Loki is not the same type of show as Heartbreak High, but still, they could have easily made his sexuality something he expresses in the show - considering he kisses a woman, you can't argue that would be 'forced' for him to express interest in a non-woman as well. But the way they ended up slipping it in one missable line made it not feel like bi rep at all.

Meanwhile Heartbreak High is all about sex so it makes sense for the writing to pay attention to it, while also allowing it to be realistic and take its time. It makes perfect sense for Ca$h, like many people, to experience his sexuality without having the proper terms to describe it. He's a fucking eshay, they probably don't use the word 'asexual' a lot, if at all, so he probably doesn't know what to call it. But the writing was so well done that we didn't need anyone to say the word to understand what he's going through. His conversation with Darren was a perfect, albeit painful and heartbreaking, explanation.

(That being said, I don't understand why Darren wouldn't have known about asexuality? I'm surprised they didn't put 2&2 together when Ca$h was trying to explain it 🤷🏽‍♀️ surely that would have made them more sympathetic)

SPN Season 8

Dean & Cas ended up in purgatory 😨

But Cas had disappeared just before the end of the S7 finale, so its going to be interesting to see where he went. Dean, meanwhile is totally fucked up, which makes sense cuz he was stuck in purgatory for a year. To me, he's become more militant than ever, like his father was after John lost Mary. Doubt John would have worked with a vampire but it seems like new ally Benny was Dean's only way out of there so 🤷

Interesting that Dean said purgatory was pure to him. I guess it was basically simplifying his life down to fighting monsters and having someone at his side to help him through. Also I interpreted it as he was so far removed from normal life, for conventional norms and societal expectations. The rules were different in purgatory, which was basically to survive, no matter what, which Dean managed to do the whole time he was there. So anything else he did, didn't really matter, because everything/everyone else around him was a monster, supernatural creatures, who don't care about anything humans do. In a way, you could say Dean was free to be whoever he wanted to be, just you know in a place full of ravenous beasts.

Sam buddy, how could you neglect Kevin like that, smh 🙄, he was counting on you. Did his new ex-girlfriend die by the way? Cuz considering Sam's track record, my money's on dead.

When they were interrogating the prisoner and Dean flashbacked to his time in purgatory interrogating a monster, yikes. Yup, Dean is definitely fucked up. I mean more so than before.

Kevin's mom may be a tiger mom, but she is a total badass 😎

We finally see Cas again, it was cute seeing Dean hug Cas after finding him again. It made sense that Cas would be on the run to protect Dean, but it would be nicer to see them survive together. Maybe we'll see that in the next couple of episodes?

Garth came back! It was nice to see him again. I guess his Bobbyisms (that's what I'm calling it) were his way to honor Bobby since he's dead 😔 RIP Bobby.

Dean yelled at him :/ not cool Dean, but Garth stood up to him, good on you Garth!

Cas returned to the world finally. But I agree him just showing up again out of nowhere is hella shady, but of course heaven is behind it. We meet Naomi, who seems controlling and manipulative like all the other heavenly beings on the show, so greaaat!

Cas wants to be a hunter like the Winchesters. But they were so mean to him, being all condescending like yeah we get it Cas is an odd fellow who doesn’t know how interact with humans or understand their behavior as only fellow humans do. The cartoon stuff was interesting, something new and funny.

Benny's a great grandpa? Are we just going to ignore that? Dean you think you slick not telling the vampire you hit on his descendant? That storyline had a tragic end, doubt we'll be seeing his great granddaughter again…

Sam and his overarching story with this latest girlfriend of his - I'm just waiting for the part where she dies - again nothing personal that’s just what I’ve come to expect. That was cold of Dean to make Sam think Amelia was in danger. Like dude the what the hell. If it had been Dean, worse shit would have popped off.

😭 Samandriel is still getting tortured, so again I say, poor Samandriel and then he gets killed by Cas who was getting mini flashbacks of being tortured himself by Naomi. Poor little angel dudes 🥺

The LARP episode! I was looking forward to this one! I know about Dean's actor falling in the blooper reel, they made it into a whole thing in the conventions around the time… 😂

As for my SI specifically, he is quite literally their emotional support/comfort husband. He has always ALWAYS always been there for them and their entire life has always centered around him. They feel loved, and appreciated, and deeply attached to him. They feel safe with him. They are willing to commit horrific crimes for him. They trust him, no matter what.

He feels 🥺 also so very very loved and supported. When he remembers that he's "weak" or he feels discouraged, they are always there to help him feel better and recognize his true worth and boost his confidence. He feels like he ca do anything with them around, and he trusts them completely, too.

I was really engaged this entire episode. It’s really good but the parts that are good highlight the main failing I have for this season, which is the inability to build a compelling villain in Amara. Although she’s supposed to have God-like powers that can bend reality, we haven’t really seen her use that at all. She doesn’t hurt Dean, so there isn’t really stakes there. She also hasn’t done anything spooky other than the disease episode 1 and the storm clouds, but they really missed an opportunity to actually make a creepy antagonist here. But good lines and solid plot stuff plus characters I like 7.5/10

ATSUMU invited you to come watch his practice on a dare, since he had a pretty big crush on you. Of course, you were virtually the only girl at Inarizaki who didn't have a crush on him, instead choosing to ignore him most of the time ("Your taste in girls is just fuckin' great, Tsumu-" "Oh, shut up, Samu.") and almost every comment you directed at him was stunningly cold. However, he played his cards right and managed to trick you into coming to watch you at volleyball practice ("Aw, is poor Y/N-chan really that scared of me? A-" "I told you not to call me that, Miya, and fine!").

The moment you walked in, he served the perfect jump float that curved unpredictably towards the back of the court and landed just on the line. To top it off, he followed it up with a ripper of a power serve, bouncing so high off the court it nearly hit the ceiling.

Atsumu got the shock of his life when you, cold, uninterested, Y/N, ran over to him with the ball in your hands, your eyes actually lighting up as you gushed about how amazing his dual wield was, and how perfect his technique was, and was he, Atsumu, aware of how freaking cool that was? He literally started blushing as you began to ramble about how you played and wished you could even get close to what he had just done. You, the 'worst girl' to fall for, passionately complimenting him with the biggest smile on his face.

"Jeez, Y/N, if I'd have known you got so excited over volleyball, I woulda invited you way sooner."

Surprising him even more, you didn't comment on his usage of your first name. "Thanks, Atsumu-kun! I really love volleyball!"

Atsumu was ecstatic that he'd learned more about you, especially that you weren't as unapproachable as he'd thought.

Damn, she's cute when she rants.

RINTAROU was surprised to find himself liking you, but, then again you two were pretty similar. Both coming off as uncaring and even mean to people who didn't know you, it came as little shock to most people once he finally discovered his feelings. However, he was extremely awkward around you, not quite knowing what to say to someone the polar opposite of his usual constant of the Miya twins.

Finally, he saw a copy of Volleyball Monthly on your desk, and he came up with an idea, softly, shyly inviting you to practice that afternoon. To his relief, you nodded vigorously, even giving him a smile so uncharacteristic of the cold person you came off as. When you arrived just as the warmup had ended, Rintarou found himself desperate to impress you, face impassive from where you sat to the side.

As Atsumu set to him, he leapt has high as he could, stretching as far over as possible and hitting the ball with a ridiculous amount of spin with his body at a near right-angle. Though he had done it to show off to you, he was outright shocked when you ran directly onto the court to grab his arm, a literal grin on your face.

"Holy shit, Suna, that was so cool! How did you hit it at that angle? And, woah, that spin was incredible-"

You continued rambling as the team cast him somewhat bemused glances, until you cut yourself off when the middle blocker said nothing.

"Uh, sorry, I got a little carried away, I just love to play and wa-"

The Suna Rintarou cracked a genuine smile, a soft lilt to the lips solely for you as he ignored what was occurring at the practice around him.

"I didn't know you were such a big fan of volleyball."

You giggled. Giggled. "I really love it - your spike is amazing!"

He found himself laughing. Maybe I have a chance with her after all.

OSAMU knew he didn't know a lot about you, though he also did know a lot, given that he genuinely liked you. He didn't know the extent of how little he knew about you, though, until he fumbled his way through asking you to volleyball practice (yes, as somewhat of a date) and you replied with a "sure" that was just a little warmer than the usual impartiality of your tone.

He had no time wait for you when you were running late, and started practice instead - unaware as he and Atsumu practiced their quick that you were watching quietly from the doorway. His twin let out a yell as he ran, the set coming so perfectly into his hand as he smacked it down, waiting for the satisfying smack of the ball hitting the ground ...

Which never came, Osamu instead hearing the slap of a volleyball against skin, and he landed from the jump with his grey eyes wide.

You stood on the other side of the net, rubbing your now red arm as the volleyball flew in a trajectory obviously originating from you, a bright grin on your face and enthusiasm shining through your expression.

"Woah, your quick is insanely good!" you said excitedly, ducking under the net to stand right in front of Osamu. "It was way too tough to receive!"

"Y-Y/N?" he barely managed to say, voice shaking in shock.

You laughed, passing the ball back to him and brushing your fingertips against his in the process. "I'm super passionate about volleyball, so I play a little, and it's so cool how good you guys are!"

Warmth filled Osamu's chest as he stared at you, flushed and grinning, and his heart fluttered just a little because of you, and damnit, you were just about the perfect girl, 'indifference' and all.

This is one of my very very VERY favourite mid-program pictures. This is the only place I have seen it- a screen shot from a segment on The Social- hence the watermark. I did find a full length version that I’ll post at the end that is covered in watermarks also so obviously unusable. But yeh let me tell you why I loooovvveeee this:

This is on the Choctaw in the circle step seq. And it’s right on the lyrics “why does my heart cry” on any of the footage of this, coz it’s in the front right corner there’s never been front-on footage of it so until this pic I never really knew what was happening from the front..

Let’s start with Scotty.. omg… guys I’m literally never gonna shut up about what an incredible performer he is.. look at the commitment and abandon in his eyes.. he’s so lost in his character. He played this role so so well coz it’s sooo complicatd and layered-he has to really play a few different characters and kinda after this is when he gradually starts shedding the aggressive, predator character. His face and the way he’s holding her.. like he’s really presenting and displaying her to the judges.. just death staring them with this sinister look in his eyes and showing how he has total control of her. There’s so much going on in this story that this moment is like almost predicting the future- that she’s gonna die. Coz T’s face is like.. OMFG 🥺😭 I just want to save her. Like this isn’t a sexy moment- it’s her literally hanging onto life. Her face is foreshadowing that she gonna die- and this is showing what that would be under the darker circumstances- if she’d died at the hand of her aggressor rather than illness. There’s fear and helplessness in her eyes. Like she’s just trying hang on as he drags her away. I’ve said in another post how the the design around her neck kinda in a subtle way looks blood dripping down. And in the previous version of this (sci/nhk) he was choking her so this is like a less legit-obvious version of that same movement. Like his hand is just close enough to her neck to imply that he’s hurting her but not really- also side note- this is just another instance that shows how close they are in their partnering- his arm bent at nearly 90 degrees hand all the way over her shoulder- not just touching the top of it. On the actual footage of this in the IE she completely let’s her head go- almost decapitated- it just completely drops to the side towards his hand but usually in his more gentle character/demeanour he would be there to catch it. But it just drops and rolls around as he drags her away into the tango part:

I really can’t stress enough what phenomenal performers and artists they are.. so so much of what they are doing goes unnoticed by the general audience. In the competition format the audience just sees the stark ‘style’ contrasts between the top teams. But it’s what goes on beneath the surface with VM- the intention behind everything, the reason for it. That’s the stuff that can really only be understood by those who have been there themselves.. TS are true dancers. Obviously I love them endlessly and I’m dedicated to them only -so I don’t know much about other teams’ processes, but you can tell the difference between VM and everyone else- and it’s that they DANCE, everyone else skates. Dance is so much more than moving to music, it can be just about that, but IMO it’s the ones who completely shed their worldly selves in service of their story- they allow themselves to be consumed by their art. It’s that they live the music and the story in their souls. It feels like the music is coming out of them, as brilliant and damn near perfect as they are athletically it’s what comes from the inside out with them. They don’t start from the outside and work in. Yes it is a visual sport where lines need to be aesthetically pleasing and correct skating technique is required- but because they are already so good in that respect they are able to just live and perform as artists internally and can express that through their bodies. It’s funny to me that they have been referred to as ‘the people’s ice dancers- that the emotion they express is so easy to understand’ where as *certain other teams, are more elitist and secretive about their style and emotion- which is so ironic to me because as I mentioned above, what TS do is such a high level- introverted approach to their performances- that is very difficult for the majority of people to understand, yet it comes off as so relatable and the emotion is so easy to understand for everyone who watches them, where as *certain others, at least from my POV, approach it externally and from a very visual, superficial perspective which you would think is more relatable coz there so few layers. TS express real human emotion and make your heart ache for them. This moment pictured is so brief and as I said from this angle you get so much more than on the footage. You just want to save her from him but you know later on and by the end you just want them to be ok and be together forever. Their process is so internal and so about what they create between the two of them, yet welcome every one to experience it with them. They aren’t selfish about it- it’s not all about them. They can have it both ways because they are that good.

it’s genuinely so funny when people are talking about ruining the integrity of supernatural. like Girl. what integrity? they literally have dedicated an entire season to dick jokes, established that dean’s like super into tentacles, satan uses puppy play as a form of torture and they shot god with a gun. to start with. What Integrity?

Here’s a recap of the Mark Sheppard panel (i might have missed things though)

Mark talking about how it was difficult to work with all the different writers interpretations of Crowley and still keep it Crowley

Mark’s been sober 31 years but 2020 made him want to drink or shoot heroin

Mark loved the season 8 finale and crowley being injected with human blood. he thinks the finale’s one of the best thing they’ve done.

Mark said that the ’polite anwer’ to the question what is the thing that he wanted Crowley to do but never made it to the show, is that in the end of s12 he made a t-shirt of it and raised a lot of money to charity

He liked that Crowley was the smartest character in the show

He admired Crowley’s percistance

He loved when the made Crowley’s ring tone baby got back and dean’s caller id not moose

He doesn’t know what he learnt from crowley

Rowena is not Crowley’s mom but Fergus’ mom ’make of that what you will’

The most difficult scene to shoot was the one where Jensen had to say the zorro mask line and kept breaking

The Dean thing was ’a weird bromance’.
