Opening the door, I was met with Vee, laying on the bed. None of us talked, and as I noticed tears running down her face, I couldn't prevent the tight smile from showing up.

I knew he was lying. I knew every word he said to me was nothing more than fabricated bullshit he probably came up with on the drive here. There wasn’t any way somebody could fake the things we said to each other, the things we did. I knew that. So why was there a small part of me that was hurt? Who was contemplating the possibility that they were true. Of course it wasn’t… right?

I waited in that bed, saving my forgiveness for when he’d burst through the door five minutes later groveling at my feet, begging for mercy. I waited, despite the tears on my face that somehow knew he wasn’t. I waited and waited and waited. He never showed. That’s when I sobbed, big, heaving, blubbering ones. I sat there crying for what felt like forever, until I couldn’t even produce tears anymore. And then I got angry.

Pressing my nurse’s button, I ripped the IV out of my wrist and the other machines checking my vitals, watching blood trickle all along the sheets. I didn’t care about it. I couldn’t stay another second in this fucking place. If Mikey wanted nothing to do with me after I healed, then I’ll do him something better. The nurse ran in panicked, eyes wide. I watched her gape at the sheets, at the flatlining monitors and then at me. I didn’t even give her time to speak. I had already begun to stand.

I need to get out of here, I told her, lifting myself up from the bed.

She charged at me, trying to push my shoulders back down but I wouldn’t budge. What are you doing? Your wounds haven’t healed yet!

I repeated myself, but she was still panicking, going off about something I refused to care about. Irritated, I take the collar of her scrubs and yank, bringing her close to me. Listen to me, I need to get the fuck out of this building and if you don’t help me, I’m going to find a fire escape and do it that way. Or maybe I’ll jump out of the window, break my fucking neck. Can you live with knowing somebody died on your watch because you wouldn’t help them? Would you be able to stomach it?

The words coming out of my mouth were unrecognizable to me. I got petty with my friends and said shit I didn’t mean, but this was cruel and excessive. I guess this what Mikey was turning me into.

I let her go only after she nods her agreement, looking ready to burst into tears by the second. First, I’ll need a disguise. No matter what Mikey had just told me, I knew he wouldn’t let me out of his sight if he caught me doing this. And being trapped around Mikey was not going to fly. Fuck no. Where’s the clothes you came in wearing?

I-In my bag in our locker rooms, she stammered.

Bring them. I need to change.

She went out of the room and came back, bag in trembling hand. I dressed quickly and keeping my head down, I allowed her to sneak me straight out of the building and around the back where her car was parked. Then I asked her to drive me somewhere.

Why not? I asked without caring to consider her feelings. The poor woman probably didn’t get paid enough for this. Is there anybody else Bonten gives a fuck about that requires you giving them medical attention?

Good. I grinned. That means you’re off for the day. Now drive. You don’t have to worry about Mikey, this is what he wanted. A half truth considering he certainly wouldn’t have wanted me to be out of his life this quickly, but I skipped a few steps for my sanity and his life. If I had to be in his vicinity I probably would have killed him.

We got in the car and sped off, me giving her directions as soon as she started driving. I watched the building grow smaller and smaller in the rearview, doing my best to ignore the thudding in my heart. The pain. The stress of everything I had been through on top of this bullshit. My thigh throbbed dully in reminder beneath the bandage. Eventually, we arrived at the destination of my choice, and I was sure to thank her for everything she did. I couldn’t give her anything but gratitude. I didn’t have any money. My phone was still in that torture room where I left it, and all the shit Mikey bought me most likely didn’t survive in that collision that got me kidnapped in the first place. I was grateful for that last one. I needed no reminders of him.

I quickly hopped out of the car, hobbling toward the door of the place I had requested to go. The nurse, who’s name I realized I never asked for, pulled out of the yard before I even entered the door. Couldn’t say I blamed her. I pressed the ringer on the door, pushing on it when it buzzed open. Immediately the stench of animal hit me full force. The sound of dogs barking and cats meowing brought a smile to my face.

Then I heard him. Who’s at the d- His words got caught in his throat, most likely at the sight of me.

Hey, Dee. I had cried all my tears out for the day in that bed. I could only express my emotions in humor. The boss hasn’t fired me yet, right?

Then I started to fall, but he caught me just in time, sobbing my name into my neck. I hugged him back tightly, heart bursting for an entirely different reason now. I was safe. I was home.

Six months came and went in a blur. I spent most of it being interrogated by police and interviewers alike. I kept my stories the same. I didn’t know my kidnappers. I never saw their faces. I never knew why I was kidnapped. Despite the fact that I could draw a detailed picture of Mikey’s face in my sleep, I didn’t sell out Bonten. I had gotten into the last predicament by them thinking I was an enemy, I didn’t want to prove that I actually was one. And besides, I wanted nothing to do with him or atleast that was the story I was feeding myself.

I never saw Natalie again. I didn’t know what Mikey did with her, and I didn’t have it in me to care. My conversations with Angel and Tati stopped a bit after they realized that too. I was glad. I was starting to grow tired of pretending I missed the traitor, and they were tired of pretending like they didn’t resent me for being the one who made it out.

Darren and I were practically inseparable. He had become my right hand, driving me around to physical therapy, helping me assimilate back into society, and still managed to keep the last bit of normalcy I had before I left during work, cracking jokes as if nothing happened. From the outside looking in, it almost was as if nothing did happen, but you had to look closer. I couldn’t sleep at night. Nightmares plagued my dreams every waking day, either of Koda, Mikey’s men who had groped me, or Mikey himself. The only time I managed to sleep was on my lunch breaks, much to Darren’s dismay. But other than that? I was okay, doing what I loved again and surrounded by genuine people.

Now Darren was convinced that what I was missing was a social life. Just come out with me, Vee. It’s just drinks at a bar with a few of my friends. We’ll even leave before 11pm.

Because your bedtime is 10, I teased, laughing when he nudged me.

I’m serious, he whined. It won’t be awkward I promise they already know- He cut himself off.

Perhaps that was the most awkward part of all of this. Everybody knew me now as the girl who survived her ‘kidnapper’. Imagine what they’d think if I told them that technically he wasn’t my kidnapper. They’d probably faint if they found out I fucked him too.

It’s okay, Dee. I was all over the news. They’re bound to know.

Still, they’re not assholes. They won’t treat you any differently. I promise. And if you’re still uncomfortable we could leave and I’ll never bother you about this again for the rest of my life. Pretty please?

I mentally groaned. Darren could get annoying when he was pleading, and it wasn’t like I had anything else to do. My routine consisted of home, work, school, occasional grocery store, gym and repeat. Nothing else exciting.

Fine, I relented, trying not to smile at his loud whoops. But I’m leaving at 10 alright?

you are will stand throughout time as a while jokingly seeing the light like I I still maintain that that drove on flying off with Dannyand his whole clown vault was like that 40 minutes that were made to show her you were sorting the writableand then it turns out is actually in Brenda’s mind I might is like you we start talking about game of thrones cause I professionally what one time ago but surgeries after shows around season six like for season six I guessand if you told me at the beginning season 6A that this is how game of thrones is goodand I doing okay but free good that’s uninteresting that they can there’s a Circe battle there’s the nurses told Garyand this kinda comes outand that’s how it wraps up I just never would’ve guessed that the sort of final 20 yards would’ve played out the way they did yeah absolutely I find myself liking all of the spectacle on the grandeurand pretty comfortable with the actual final destinationsand landing spots are mostly charactersand still do sort of wishing that we had more time to get thereand I think of season sevenand eight have each been the standard episodes we would have a lot fewer questions about how we got from point a to you a lot of the discourse around the shortened time frames been aroundand fairly so that Danny her turn to despotism but it really stands out the most with brand with brand being elevated to King this is a guy who the pitch for him into areas where this here’s the person with the best story you that story was not on the shofar sees you that so in that sense you know you said to me the inheritance back in season 56 like that’s really interesting I hope they’re laying the groundwork for that right right nowand some of it just didn’t seem like a got there especially particular brand stuff as well brand is obviously spent a lot of time kind of give your thoughts about how the last season when the last few episodes went quickly I would like to make a pivot towards maybe some more celebratory aspects of of of of the discourse yes well that positiveand so now what did the show mean to you personally shout out this game of thrones to the totality of that sort of start with the tears right awayand I’m glad I will also run things my lifeand like I mean that sincerely it’s been an increase writable part of my professional life has brought me great joy to discuss it with colleaguesand people I care about immenselyand know this question in some ways does connect to the first one how is about the ending because I think that as we move further for the way for meaning caring is one of the cool things about the show in community around it is that we also can easilyand interrogated it in a way that stems from how much we loved itand that will not go awayand it will always be reasonable to ask questions about it but I think we will just the further removed we are from the final moment find ourselves really thinking about the things we loveand gratitude that I haveand a lot of us have for being able to share this thing togetherand I think with a lot of things in life right now the digital age you gotta feel very aloneand not to like channel my inner tear in here but a great story can really bring people togetherand game of thrones to what you that’s what I mean ice I feel the same way on it moreand strictand pragmatic level it’s been great to be employed these last few years avoid that go to Trader Joe’s like when I can buy food this is goodand then I’d them all my landlord the first month of this writer will unite it’s just incredible story I think you I’ve come to the place with the books where I appreciate the world buildingand whether or not he gets to the ending I think that part of it will stand alone just there are many stories that you back through the history of this fictional history across this fictional globe we think it’s a globe you might be shaped like a globe commissioned like an egg one but just as a way to escape the career for the most part so it’s been a really like meaningful spike presence in my life but anything I think it is been really fascinating really awesome to see how many different ways there are to trashy beach read or as like a test or as a fine piece of art to be regarded as like from a visual standpoint or its launch the careers of 23 dozen people that will probably be watching for the next 20 years of our lives and’s that that that that sort of blossoming of all these different things that will kind of always be feeling the ripple effect the shows are really over your knowledge of the books but also because as you guys proved with about it something that actually does withstand repeated viewings looking for different nooksand crannies of it looking under the hood a little bit like how they make this workand why why do they do thisand why not even picking wages actually like thinking about the mechanics of story thinking about the mechanics ofand also thinking about real life stuff like historyand loyaltyand betrayaland familyand nationhoodand all that stuff that is all wrapped up in the shows like I thank you for giving me so much inspiration to think about stuff like that I was really wonderful freeand it’s just such a good way in richand rewarding text whether or not the books or the show the shelf courses a text toand being able to return to it constantly the way you think about a story is on the one hand kind eternaland constant if you love itand it’s this really steady most comfort that the course your life but also the way relatable change in the It’s Two in the Morning- Vmin (A/F/M)

Jimin likes to say he's a moderately innocent person. And while the test grades in pretty red ink can say he’s driven academically, or his tidied dorm room would say he’s neat- the panties that stretch over his silky skin and the delicate yet gravely moans Taehyung is all too familiar with would test any accusations of his innocence.

Taehyung lets Jimin say what he’d like about himself, that he’s good and clean, that his studies go above any cravings or bursts of lust that sputter within him. But the rushed and sloppy texts that illuminate Taehyung’s dark room as his phone lets out a soft ding, in the late hours of the night- or more accurately, the early hours of the morning- would say otherwise of Jimin’s earlier statements. The messages usually say something like: “can i come over?” or “come to my dorm,” but on the nights it’s clear that he's had something to drink, or the nights he’s desperate, without worry over how needy he may come off as, he says things like, “horny for you daddy,” or “all i want is your cock in me right now.”

Taehyung doesn’t have any complaints. If anything, he occasionally wonders if he should be thanking some higher power for Jimin’s company. He needs Jimin just as much as the older needs him. College is taxing, relationships are just as taxing, and to try to manage both of those things at the same time? Tae would either flunk out for dump the poor guy. A girl had said that they looked cute together, “how long have you two been dating?” She’d asked. They’d shared a glance before bursting into laugher. “Oh no, we’re only friends,” Jimin had said through his fit of giggles. She’d given a nod but a smirk was still poised at her lips before she had wandered off. Though Taehyung tried to play it cool and keep himself calm, her glance to him had left him unsettled the rest of the night.

When the party had slowed down and people were beginning to lose their interest, that same girl had suggested they play spin the bottle.

“Jesus, we aren’t sophomores in high school,” some guy had said, nonetheless, he walked forward to sit with a few others who were making a circle. The girl had laughed, then turned to look at Jimin and Taehyung who were standing awkwardly far apart.

Jimin had given an irritated sneer in her direction, to which her grin only grew in response. Taehyung, while still sick to his stomach and his mind swarming with a budding headache, began to approach the circle. Jimin stood behind him slack jawed, “Wait, you’re actually joining?!”

Taehyung gave a glance behind himself to Jimin, eyes trying to seem playful and light but the weight of the world at his shoulders. “Maybe I’ll earn a kiss from the prettiest girl at this stupid party,” he’d said, his words aimed at that same, irritating girl who started this all, but his eyes not shifting away from Jimin’s. Jimin gave him one last irritated look before following Tae to the circle and sitting down beside his friend.

The girl span the bottle first and landed on some random guy with a patchy beard and baseball cap on. Then the terns went around counter clockwise, so Jimin was next. He gave a huff, and span. He landed on a girl with big, blushing cheeks who nervously twisted her brunette hair that fell messily over her shoulders. Jimin began to lean in, and her giving a small giggle as she did too. Taehyung felt a strange sense of jealously boil his veins watching them inch closer and closer until he sat there helpless as Jimin’s plush lips cascaded over the girl’s thinner ones. He just sat there, boneless and hopeless as the kiss depended and the crowd around them cheered with the sight of their tongues entangling slowly but surely. Jimin pulled away first, his eyes blinking quickly and pupils dilated.

It was Taehyung’s tern next, and he span with a flick of his finger, harsh against the bottle and the clink sound echoing. He watched it circle until slowing down to point at Jimin, it was nearly itching to point at the irritating girl but Taehyung stopped it where it was before it could. Jimin looked up from the bottle pointing at him, to his best friend Taehyung, who didn’t seem have a shred of surprise or embarrassment across his expression. Jimin was nervous though, he bit his lip and watched Taehyung through his lashes. Their kiss was slow, Taehyung allowing himself to explore Jimin’s lips, the ones he’d fantasized over for longer than he'd ever let himself admit. The kiss depended, and the rest of the people dissipated into a foggy blur. And the kiss was too deep to be something casual they’d forgot about after a few more beers or a few more hours of hanging out. It was just a bit too deep to be nothing.

It’s two in the morning now, Taehyung is convincing himself that he’s trying to fall asleep, that he isn’t waiting for Jimin to text him. But he is waiting, and he is terrible convincing himself of things. His eyes are open so he’ll catch the light from his phone when a new text arrives, his ringer still off from when he turned it off in his 8 o'clock class. He taps his fingers along his opposite arm, and then that arm’s fingers tap along the other arm. And then the dim blue light fills his side of the dorm room, and he scrambles to grab his phone off the nightstand.

Tae stares at his phone, it’s black, and his fingers beg to touch it and find Jimin’s contact name, the one he’s all too familiar staring at for hours until the notification would light up. Hours pass, the room growing darker and Tae’s roommate turning off their light finally, so the room is pitch black. Taehyung feels safer in the dark, so his eyes don’t keep burning holes into his phone with how much of a coward he is. Jimin’s skin had been so soft, and his body had been so warm, and sometimes they’d put on music that was just a bit too romantic to have played while being together. But Taehyung had known it was the right music for them, maybe Jimin had known that too, that’d had been why he’d let it keep playing.

Things weren’t too clear back then, everything had been under the title of ‘Friends with Benefits,’ and within that they had to abide by the thick rules that came along with such a title. Strict and yet foggy, clear and yet unknown. Is it wrong to neglect the title and make it his own? Neglect all those budding feelings that had quickly been torn to shreds and burned with the summer’s rich heat.

Riverdale Ep. 9: La Grande Illusion

Was it because Alie thought Archie looked too much like Jason? I have no idea. But Alice has been so uptight about Betty “not growing up too fast” like Polly, wearing makeup and seeing boys. But SHE’S FINE WITH JUGHEAD. Inexplicably in her daughter’s room on her bed making out with her.

So this tells me she must actually know Jug quite well seeing him and Betty have been friends for so long. She approves because we already know that if Alice had a problem, SHE’D VOICE IT. But she trusts Jughead not to take advantage of her daughter and respect her because she must know how much Betty means to Jughead AND AUHMUHGOD AND- *Megaphone* ALICE COOPER TRUSTS JUGHEAD WITH BETTY. THAT IS ALL.

Can I just say how much I appreciate this adaptation of Veronica Lodge? The scenes with her and Ethel -- wow. I can’t bow down to the writers enough for doing such a justice with her character in this adaptation. She is powerful, witty, intelligent, moral, considerate, and she has a huge heart. While she always had a big heart in the comics, she was prone to selfishness and snobbery. Putting Veronica’s family in the situation they created with Hiram has resulted in such an empathetic and generous Ronnie. My heart is full with how precious and strong her character is on this show. <3 Veronica and the news about Ethel’s dad. HOLY. SWEET. LORD. OK I am actually having trouble seeing what I’m writing because I’m still cryin’ RN seeing that girl break down. And Betty crouching down on the floor to hold her . . . MY HEART. Then her and Betty going to visit Ethel’s dad at the hospital . . . damn. That takes a bravery I can’t even comprehend. I’m glad that Ethel and Ronnie are bigger than their parents and decide to stay friends. <3

And MY GOD, Hermoine Lodge is being put through the ringer this episode and I just want to fucking hold her. X_X Fred dumping her kind of destroyed me a little inside. *Smoking wreck*

Alright switch it up again -- the ArchiexCheryl/Blossoms arc is disturbing as hell. O_O Them literally preying on Archie’s vulnerability and desperation to solidify his career in music and protect his father by reigning him in and bribing him? FUCK. -_- Just . . . fuck. Archie tried to put up a good fight here. We saw how this conflicted with his morality and I felt bad for him. It’s difficult to say no when your future and your father’s are on the line. -_- Oh, Archie. I’m still trying to root for you, bud. (A CHERRY ‘84 GIBSON LES PAUL I’D BE A SLUT4BLOSSOM, TOO.)
