Author's Note: Alright, I know I literally just posted something for Jeno a few days ago. But this idea was just living rent free in my mind, and I just couldn't resist writing it. I know you guys like this stuff too, so I thought writing this couldn't hurt. I'm Jaemin biased, but Jeno is just so cute especially when he's sulky. Anyway hope you guys like it ^ ^

Now, it was no secret to anyone that Jeno got sulky easily. When you two first started seeing each other, you found it quite funny how things could so easily hurt such a tough, masculine guy. Of course, you’re usually able to provide him with enough reassurance to make him a smiley puppy again. Teasing your partner was never in your nature. But you’d occasionally step out of character just because Jeno’s reactions were hilarious.

The two of you were lounging on the couch in his apartment’s living room, mindlessly scrolling through your phones. You paused when you came across some photos from his recent concert. While you admired how fiercely handsome your boyfriend looked on stage, another member unintentionally caught your eye.

“Wah, Jaemin looks amazing in that stage outfit,” you remarked, showing him the picture. “I can’t imagine all the screams from fans when they saw his abs.”

Jeno glanced at the photo and shrugged, his expression unchanging. “I mean, it’s nothing new. Everyone knows Jaemin works out, so I don’t think that many people were surprised.”

At first, you didn’t even notice your boyfriend’s lack of interest in the subject, too preoccupied with scrolling through more photos of his attractive member. In fact, you found his comment a bit hard to believe.

“No, but the lighting from the stage makes you see how perfectly defined and sculpted his abs are!” you said in awe, as you came across a close-up picture that a fan had taken.

Your boyfriend’s grip tightened on his phone, and he shot you a sideways glance. To him, it was almost as if you had forgotten he was sitting right beside her. 

“My stage outfit showed my abs too, you know,” he muttered.

The hint of sulkiness in his voice was something you caught immediately, and that's when you realized he was jealous. Although it wasn’t your intention to make him feel this way, you couldn’t help but find the pout on his lips adorable. Deciding to push his limits just a little, you feigned obliviousness to his growing discomfort over your sudden interest in Jaemin.

Leaning back on the couch, you sighed. “Well yeah, but I’ve already seen your abs plenty of times. Not that I find them boring now, but…”

Jeno’s pout deepened and he whined softly, his jealousy now clearly evident. You bit your lip, stifling a laugh because he was just so endearing like this. However, your innocent teasing soon backfired. 

Determined to make his point, he sat up and lifted his shirt, revealing his own well-defined abs, a testament to his consistent workouts. Before you could even say anything, he grabbed your hand and pressed it against his firm stomach with an intense gaze.

“Tell me, who do you prefer,” he demanded in a dark yet calm voice. “Jaemin or me?”

Your cheeks flushed a deep shade of red, and your breath slightly hitched at the sudden contact. Feeling the ridge of his muscles beneath your fingers quickly brought out your instinctive shyness. You rarely saw this possessive side of Jeno.

“Jeno…” you began, your voice barely above a whisper. You searched your brain for something to say, but you were too flustered to find the right words.

“That’s what I thought,” he interrupted, a satisfied smirk spreading across his face.

Before you could pull away, Jeno leaned in and captured your lips in a passionate kiss. His lips were soft yet demanding, a reminder that you belonged to him and him alone. As the moments passed and his lips showed no signs of moving, you closed your eyes and gently placed your hand under his jaw. One of his hands was already on your waist and as he felt you kiss back, he pulled you closer and deepened the kiss with a tender urgency. 

His lips moved against yours hungrily, the only sound of the room the soft smacking of kisses. The kiss deepened, and you felt his tongue gently part your lips, exploring with a slow, deliberate intensity. Your lips molded together, warm and yielding, and the sensation sent shivers down your spine. The subtle, rhythmic movement of his mouth against yours was intoxicating, and you couldn’t help but respond with equal fervor.

When you finally parted, you needed a moment to catch your breath. Jeno’s gaze remained fixed on you, silently seeking reassurance, his eyes revealing a hint of vulnerability.

“Of course I prefer you,” you replied, looking at him as if the answer were obvious. “Jaemin’s visuals might be impressive, but you know I only have eyes for you.”

Jeno’s grin widened, and he wrapped his arms around you, bringing you back to your previous cuddling position. “Good,” he said, sinking comfortably into the couch cushions with you.

Soon after, his tone turned playful yet still a bit possessive. “But I’m still putting you on a Na Jaemin ban from now on.”

The lingering sulkiness in his comment made you want to roll your eyes. But instead, you laughed and rested your head on his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart beneath your ear. You knew that protesting would be useless, and he’d get over it eventually.

Yet, you also knew that what you and Jeno had was unbreakable. With how much you two loved each other, you were inseparable, no matter how sulky he got.

This was a fun episode. I will say I'm a bit confused what Benedict's arc will be he seems to get sidelined often and not have that deep of a ploy point. The Kent inheritance story line is starting to make sense, the introduction for it is building up. But most importantly Penelope slowly wearing blue gowns that become lighter in tone!! Ahhh. This is cinema right here. Okay onto the next.

A Date with Death Review

Time Played: 3.7 hours

I just finished playing (and streaming) this game, so I figured now is the best time to compile my thoughts. I only played through one ending for now, but I will play the rest off camera.

Spoiler-free review below.

Who doesn't want to date the Grim Reaper? Death Incarnate? Someone who doesn't judge you for your plushie collection?

Grim is absolutely my type. He has tsundere moments, he's incredibly kind, and he's always honest. I like that he has a balance of grumpy/edgy and sweet/innocent vibes. He's a pro at unintentionally sweeping anyone off their feet.

It's hard to resist teasing him though- his reactions are funny every time. Plus the pouty blush is priceless. It's endearing to watch him try to learn "internet lingo" to communicate with the mortals. You're doing great, babygirl.

The MC's options to tease him constantly really made this game enjoyable to me. They have the grump x sunshine trope going on, and that's one of my favorite dynamics of all time. I'd be happy reading conversations between them anytime.

That said, I'm also thrilled with the extensive customization options for the MC. Pronouns, appearance, typed biography, etc. You can even customize their bedroom! How cool is that? I loved adding little details that showed their personality, like bookshelves and plants. The addition of a pet melts my heart too. I adore my pet, so I'm glad the MC can have a pet they adore.

PROTAGONIST PRAISE

As I said before, I'm glad this game allows customization of the MC. You can pick plenty of options to shape their personality and background, so your playthrough might not be entirely the same as what I described above. I think you can easily self-insert or create your own character with the options available. Have fun making a protagonist you want to see!

OVERALL THOUGHTS

This is one of the best games I've played! I kept looking forward to playing more. I feel obsessed now that I've finished one ending and it's probably only going to get worse from here.

I appreciate this being a free game with DLC options. I hope to see more DLCs added in the future too.

If anyone's looking for a free game filled with heartwarming, bittersweet, and hilarious moments, then you should give it a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed with this lovable Grim Reaper. (Plus he's very pretty to look at.)

[This was supposed to just be about dancing but I got a tad side tracked, so there is some bits about their music taste in there, too. Enjoy!! (ʃƪ ˘ ³˘)♡]

Kenny McCormick:

- Unintentionally good.

- The way he dances is slightly feminine but not at all girly. (just smoother, more control over his hips, his limbs move in a satisfying, flowy way, less stiff, etc.)

- He takes the male role when slow dancing/waltzing/grinding, etc.(had to add the last one because he TOTALLY is the type to be shamelessly grinding on the dance floor) but with salsa dancing he sometimes likes to take the feminine role, just because he thinks it’s fucking hilarious.

- Finds a way to dance to any song. Like Peruvian pan flute music.

- Dances when he’s happy

- Confident Dancer

- Really satisfying to look at

- Isn’t aware that he’s good at dancing, because he doesn’t really think dancing is something you can be “good” or “bad” at, it’s just shaking your body in all directions and not giving a fuck about what anyone thinks

- Would never judge someone for how they dance

- “Twerks” (just throws his back back, and calls it twerking)

- Dances with friends to cheer them up (like in that one Harry Potter scene, where Harry dances with Hermione to cheer her up (fuck JK Rowling but that scene is adorable))

- Often dances with Karen, free and fun entertainment

- he still listens to CD’s/cassette tapes, because he can’t afford an Apple Music/Spotify/SoundCloud subscription and he had some old CD/cassette players laying around that he fixed up. Cartman rips on him for this, telling him to “get with the times”, but he doesn’t care.

- He doesn’t have spotify because he can’t skip songs, which is super annoying because he throws every song he likes into one big playlist. So when he’s listening to relaxing songs, he wants to be able to skip the heavy metal Slipknot song that comes on right after. He does have Soundcloud because there are less ads than Spotify, and he can skip songs, but he honestly prefers CDs and cassettes at this point.

- Drags people to the dance floor at parties

- Likes songs with dirty or doltish/childish lyrics

- Dabbles in some country

- Is 100% a juggalo

Stan Marsh:

- Stan dances like a mom;,.. Or a wine-drunk Randy

- At times Horribly offbeat

- Can’t tell if he got his moves from Randy or Sharon

- A bit of a stiff dancer

- Bad but in a charming way, that’s fun to look at

- Knows he sucks, but doesn’t care

- He has potential but he lacks a sense of rhythm and all his moves are at least 20 years old

- The confidence he oozes makes his uncool moves not seem awkward but more endearing

- Still does stuff like that one scuba dance move, or the thing with the peace signs over the eyes

- Loves playing Just Dance with Kenny. Kenny just does it as a stress reliever but Stan tryhards, determined to beat Kenny’s ass at least once.

- He and Kenny usually dance together at parties, leaving Kyle to look for Stan everywhere (because he never announces where he’s going, he just sees Kenny on the dance floor and beelines in his direction.

- When Stan & Kenny are REAAALLy drunk, the dancing gets weirdly sensual (like Stan holding Kenny’s hips from behind, or vise versa) just because they think it’s fucking hilarious. There isn’t any actual sexual tension, just friends goofing around. sometimes they accumulate a little (mostly female) audience when they do this. The girls wolf whistle and yell shit like “Yeah, baby! shake that! (Which—let’s face it—are usually Bebe/Red or Heather) Nichole and Wendy usually just stands there, amused, trying to suppress laughs, cheering them on.

- Sometimes, (If Stan & Wendy aren’t fighting/broken up) Wendy will tap Kenny’s shoulder and ask if she can steal his Date from him. Kenny very politely backs off, but not before giving Stan a big, sloppy kiss on the hand/cheek and mouthing stuff like “call me” (with the accompanied hand sign, ofc) while getting dragged off by Bebe.

- The one thing he is actually good at is slow dancing, he spent hours upon hours practicing with Kyle because he was scared he’d step on Wendy’s feet (and he had good reason, Kyle’s toes suffered more than one could count) He could’ve asked Kenny for help, but dancing like that in a serious way—not just fucking around—while sober was way too vulnerable (Plus, he would rather slow dance with Kyle).

- Stan begs Kyle to dance with him all the time but Kyle isn’t that big on dancing, at least not in public

- Stan also listens to CD’s and cassettes, but he likes it for the “aesthetic”. He and Kenny exchange CD’s and cassettes every few weeks so that they can listen to each others recommendations. Kenny likes literally almost any genre, so he almost always digs the music Stan picks for him. But Stan has a more particular music taste and has gotten back to Kenny with a “Dude, wtf was that” more than a few times. Kenny has gotten really good and guessing what Stan will, and won’t like, though. So that rarely ever happens anymore.

- Very passionate about music

- Metalhead (duhhh)

- Aggressively sings along to songs

Kyle Broflovski:

- Also aggressively sings along to songs (He can’t sing)

- Not good but not bad

- Also a bit stiff

- Usually just nods along to the music

- Doesn’t hate dancing but just doesn’t do it as often as Stan & Kenny

- Prefers dancing alone in his room, or with Stan rather than out in public

- Not a big fan of the dance floor, but after a drink or two he can be persuaded

- A good slow dancer, taught by Sheila… against his will

- Likes watching Kenny and Stan dance. Specifically Stan, something about the way he dances so confidently uncool and manages not to look awkward mesmerizes him. Kenny just moved like a flowy piece of fabric, anyone would find it satisfying to look at.

- While teaching Stan how to slow dance, Stan would sometimes twirl him (that’s not a part of slow dancing, but Stan just thinks it’s more fun that way) and he’d sometimes twirl Stan too, but he couldn’t do it more than twice in a row before Stan would get nauseous and almost throw up (either from the twirling or from something else? ;))

- Usually watches on the couch while Kenny and Stan play just dance, and usually getting successfully coaxed into playing with them for just oneeee song

- Likes the cure (END OF DISCUSSION, THIS IS NOT EVEN A HC, IT’S CANON)

- Likes rock and jazz

- When he does dance it’s usually kind of laid back (Unlike Stan and Kenny who throw their entire soul into it) Because he’s a but more conscious of all the eyes around them. But he can definitely let loose when you mix the right amount of booze… or when he’s tryharding Just Dance

- On the rare occasion that he can actually find them, he’ll cheer on Stan and Kenny, too

- Kyle usually gets the aux, Kenny used to get a chance but after he put on “No Cock Like Horse Cock” by Pepper Coyote for the third time, they made an unanimous decision to put him on timeout

- Still uses the same ipod he’s been using since 2013 to listen to music

Eric Cartman:

- Does not dance

- Refuses to dance

- He just stands there with his arms crossed, tapping his foot at most

- Except when lady gaga comes on, he’ll give a whole performance

- Most definitely dances when no one is watching

- Likes hiphop/pop

- Definitely thinks he can rap

- Blares along to every song

- Out of breath after the most minimal of dancemoves

- Gets his panties in a twist when Stan and Kenny “fag it up” at parties

I don't usually go to tumblr to talk movies, but I know people are interested in this one because of Finn, so I'll attempt some thoughts more like I do other films (with irl friends, mostly).

My WYFSTW thoughts (in no particular order + a clip)

I really enjoyed this, surprisingly. I kind of expected it to ring a little more hollow than it did based on the reviews, but I think the fact that I've spent a while seeing/reading all the interviews Jesse & Finn did (combined with the fact that I listened to the audiobook) made the characters feel more fleshed out in my mind than they might for other people on screen.

To be honest...this is basically a movie about mommy issues, and if you weren't trying to be understanding, it's really easy to write them both off as unlikable. And I won't lie: in a lot of ways, they well and truly are the most irritating kind of people—they are two sides of the same obnoxiously disconnected (and narcissistic) coin, where neither one of them is self-aware enough to realize how they come off, and both of them expect all of their good intentions to be met with open arms in spite of how much they overlook the wants, desires and interests of others.

That said...their inability to connect to others because of their self-absorption while still desiring deep connection, to me, is something i think everyone can relate to at least a little. The unspoken emotionalism of Ziggy and Evelyn—the way they started searching for each other in other people—was both really heartfelt and heartbreaking, and while I know Finn repeatedly said he felt like he related to Ziggy and honestly (in more remembered than present way) so can I. Somehow, I feel like I am in the space in life between him and his mother: still looking to prove yourself, but also aware of how intense and laborious and full of struggle the wider world can be.

Alisha Boe has the most withering gaze I've ever seen (good for her) and it plays so well into making you want to hug Ziggy despite you knowing he's such a pain in the ass in reality—and the scene between him and his mother in her little "enviro friendly" car where he's asking her for help becoming someone worthwhile only for her to unintentionally insult him up and down...god. You feel so much for Ziggy even when you want to fade into your seat trying to avoid his awkwardness, and Finn's ability to be deadly earnest and endearing doing the most insanely cringe things (lmao) is a power I have to commend him readily for.

Evelyn is much tricker. I would have hated her a lot if I was younger, and I think she deserves a lot less empathy than Ziggy in every situation we find her in (though, in so many ways, we realize they are the same...which makes their relationship all the richer. At least to me). Her attempts to project the relationship she wants with Ziggy onto someone else were insanely brutal to watch knowing how much Ziggy longed to connect with her...and the way Kyle wasn't the son she wanted, despite the one she wanted being right there.

Speaking of...Billy Byrk as Kyle was phenomenal. Like. Good enough to make me want to watch more of his movies, and earnest in a way I really wasn't expecting from a secondary character. He was a standout performance right alongside Finn (unsurprising that they are best friends who make movies and do projects together lol) who I definitely think carried some of the empathy you eventually feel for him and Ziggy in regards to Evelyn, which...yeah. I loved him in this.

All and all, it was a solid movie—flat out hilarious at times and full of that kind of upper middle class suburban nonsense you see in a lot of movies laced with emotions I wasn't expecting to feel. You definitely need to have a good gauge of reading expressions to appreciate this movie because a lot of its weight lives in the unspoken, but. I definitely think most people who enjoy indie / A24 and coming of age films will like it. I know I did.

Bonus thoughts:

the scene of ziggy in his room people were talking about was very tame, especially compared to what happened in the audiobook. Its a little awkward, but nothing you couldn't cover your eyes for like 10 seconds and avoid. It's not explicit in any way.

I cannot understate how funny this movie was at times. There were two older people next to me in the theater and we were all laughing consistently the whole 88 minutes lmao

For some reason, Ziggy performing for people and having it mean nothing irl felt a lot like being on Tumblr in some ways. NOT IN A BAD WAY, but maybe that made me extra empathetic to him LOL

FINN LOOKS AT ALL HIS LOVE INTERESTS THE SAME WAY. Its exactly the same with Ziggy with Lila as Mike with Will because that is Finn's "enamored with you" face, and it was intentional in both WYFSTW and ST. I will accept no arguments.

This is Inali, they work as a (sometimes) personal but normally a general security guard at Superjail. They didn't have a lot of experience in being a security guard, they actually just saw an ad in one of the papers that The Warden made that managed to find its way to the mainland. They applied because they needed a job and Jared is probably still pissed off that they even got hired (they made jokes and Warden thought they were hilarious) and has a vendetta against them because of their relaxed attitude.

Inali happily works at Superjail and even sometimes enjoys chatting with the prisoners. Most prisoners have no (or at least no major) problem with them, they will let certain things like smoking slide and they do enjoy watching their schemes to escape.

Although laid back, they do have their moments where their emotions finally boil over and their anger has even been taken out on multiple people in Superjail, which includes: Jared (multiple occasions), the Triplets, Jacknife, and Lord Stingray.

Inali is a liar when they tell Jared they don't have favorite inmates and pick sides. Some of their favorite people at Superjail are: The Warden, the Twins, Alice, and Ash.

They have a habit of unintentionally coddling The Warden and Jared will almost always say how inappropriate it is if he sees them. Inali loves the twins and thinks they are both endearing characters even if they are a little strange sometimes. Given the chance they do absentmindedly pet and play with people if they are on or near Inali, they enjoy physical affection both giving and receiving. When they are on their breaks or whenever they get the chance sometimes they use the jail yard to work out. They are able to pick up and carry the twins and the warden easily, and they are also able to pick up Alice, and they enjoy carrying everyone when they get the chance.

Episode 6, resolves the miscommunication

There’s miscommunication in the book as well, but it’s more nuanced. Sports Day is when Jade realizes his feelings BUT Mai has yet to confess. I’m hoping that since they changed the sequence around some — and that Jade is clearly interested in Mai — that the miscommunication is resolved by the end of this episode

Episode 7, family introduction

I ADORE Jade’s introduction to Mai’s family in the book, it’s super cute. He’s extremely nervous and terrified that being himself will be too much for Mai’s parents — at one point while Jade is talking he stops and explicitly asks if he’s talking too much. There’s also a moment where some guys are clearly checking Jade out — who’s obviously — and Mai is POSSESSIVE. Amazing

It could also be a shifting moment for Mai’s mom who, while accepting, was also clearly still processing. You know, meeting Jade and understanding why Mai is as infatuated as he is.

Episode 8, move in/job/romance

I’d love for the apartment situation to be discussed in the show, because it’s very endearing. Mai, following graduation, takes a job at a different company and doesn’t like that Jade will be commuting alone again — so he suggests a home closer to both offices. It’s very sweet. They also have a number of dates and cute events that take place as well.

And while I really couldn’t care less, I imagine the show will give us an NC scene. Hopefully, it’s preceded with King’s pep talk to Jade because their friendship is hilarious

Bits and bobs

I’d love more friendship between Jade and Uea & Jade and King — it’s super endearing and genuine. But that might have to stay in my fanfic land given how short the show is.

I’d love to see and engagement for JadeMai (lol) and/or a wedding for Uea/King just to flush out the story even more.

I think it could be interesting for Mai to see the dynamics of Jade’s family — how he’s sorta unintentionally ousted.

After my dad passed away I kept  dreaming about him dying. It was a diferent situation each time, but it wasn't his actual cause of dead. A particulary gruesome one was when I dream that there had been a car crash and they weren't able to pull him from the wreckage so he burnt to death. Shortly after that, I started dreaming that he came back for a little while, and I would tell him the latest family gossip about my sister gettig married. Later it stoped being endearing and started becoming heartwrenching. I dreamt that he came back for a short while and then he had to leave again, and it was never enough time, and the pain of losing him agaim made me wake up crying and screamng in anguish.

He was my first death. Perhaps that is why I was so unprepared to dealing with grief. Or perhaps you are never really preparred to lose a parent. But, knowing what I know now about grief I would do things differently.

I almost didn´t make it to his funeral, but that couldn't be helped, I was living 600 kms away and the wake started on the same day of his death. I still made it next morning. First funeral. My siblings told me that the night before the funeral home was filled with people and that my brother's father in law, an evangelical pastor said something unintentionally hilarious. I wish I hadn't missed it.

He was buried, I went to my mom's house to be with family and two days later I went back to college. I wish I had stayed longer with my family, share the grief with people who loved him like I did, the things that I thought were urgent weren't realy as important (work, the student centre). And I wish I had been more outspoken. I'm sorry my essay is shit, my father just died and I am going through one of the toughest moments in my life. I have depeloped a lifelong disease because of this. And I wish i had more time with him, I wish that the time I did have with him was spent better and I wish to tell him all of the things that have happened in my life, and I wish that he could tell me about his life as well.

General Opinion over said character: I LOVE HIM MORE THEN ANYTHING MY FAVOURITE GUY SUPERHERO FROM DC……… of all time ever maybe?!?!?!?!?!?! In my head also Zauriel had a sprawling in depth growth arc of gaining the shadowpact's trust and becoming their bestie forever especially Rory's. I also think it'd be fun if Zauriel befriended more bird based heroes

A NOTP I have with said character: whoever the hell during the 2000s was shipping Zauriel with like supergirl…..

A random headcanon: I might have said this before but I do think Zauriel is extremely extremely into collecting especially objects with some form of importance whether that be cultural, personal, etc, and i do think after a while with JL help they'd probably get an official degree in archivist science w/e. General Opinion over said character: MY BESTEST FRIEND FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
