Yelloow!! popping in!!!~~ I've seen Dorms, Grim and Staff as Yandere types.... But what of Neige(Vil's Rival), Chenya, and Rollo??~

I know that there are different takes from different kinds of Yandere AU's -- but out of curiosity, I wish of your take!

Let’s do the RSA boys first. 

Royal Sword Academy has a reputation for accepting the ‘princely’ yanderes. Unlike the NRC students, they don’t tend to act on violence unless they have to and their red flags aren’t as bad in comparison. 

But a red flag is still a red flag. 

RSA teaches more gentle ways of pushing darlings to their yanderes. Specifically while they use kidnappings, potions and the works, they use their affection as ball and chain to make sure leaving them is impossible. 

They’re taught to become friends first, and then start being more and more oppressively clingy. To slowly break down the darling’s defenses and walls, and leave them weak to their affection with the power of friendship, love and complete and utter manipulation. 

But it’s not manipulation, it’s being a loving partner.

Chenya’s a bit of unpredictable yandere. He’s a hard read but he’s clingy and a stalker. Chenya’s not overbearing at first. He’s friendly, cryptic but friendly, and then you’ll start to notice him around more and more. Which you might get worried about when he starts to pop up more and more in a school full of people who hate RSA. But he’ll just keep popping up and since your friends, why worry? 

Thanks to his magic, it is very easy for him to vanish and appear as quickly as the wind. So following you around is easy as pie, and with his aforementioned cryptic behavior, it will be quite difficult for you to understand his intentions. Kidnapping you would be a breeze for him, one moment you’re there and the next you're stuck with him forever and ever. 

But with Chenya, you probably won't see the threat of danger till you're too lost to figure your way out. On the brightside, you might like it. Maybe.

Neige LeBlanche ( I am a big BIG fan of the most innocent and gentle seeming people being the most manipulative motherfuckers. So…) is yandere that was actually misdiagnosed as a darling. Neige’s sweet, kind and gentle behavior in his youth lead to his misdiagnosis, and as a yandere he is a mix of delusional and manipulative. Delusional, he believes in true love and happy endings. Finding the perfect partner for his happy ending is a dream for him. (The man thinks of Vil as a friend, he’s deluded plain and simple) But while his delusions fuel his love for you, his manipulative ways can keep you there with no choice. Among the darling child stars of Twisted, Neige held quite the crown back when he was misdiagnosed, and no one can deny darlings anything (minus freedom). His demeanor is so well-meaning that any manipulative behavior is considered to be him just being a good friend or partner. He’s oppressively clingy too, and his manipulation makes sure that the people he cares about are always close. 

For this AU, Neige is a platonic yandere for Vil, and has purposely been sabotaging his casting so that Vil always and only performs with him. 

He’s the kind of yandere that wouldn’t risk killing someone to make you unhappy, but that’s not to say that his fans wouldn’t try to beat his rivals into the ground to protect dear sweet Neige. Neige is aware of how devoted his fans are to him, and he’ll use that to manipulate you, using the pressure to keep you with him, wouldn’t want them to be unhappy, would you?

Noble Bell College has a history with yanderes like many others, but its view on the yandere darling relationship is much different to the rest of the world, and many in Fleur City agree with it. Specifically, that yanderes are the ones in the wrong for their uncontrollable desires and the darlings are…. Well…. Darlings are the embodiment of purity. They haven’t done a single thing wrong to be thrown into this dirty world and yet here they walk amongst the selfish and licentious. But the darlings are not immune to the temptations of the dirty world, and can be lured into danger.

Most, if not all the yanderes at NBC believe that their desires are wrong yet impossible to beat without their darlings. And they all believe that darlings are pure, but in need of salvation from the dirty world. The Righteous Judge had a darling himself, a romani that had fallen for the dirty world’s enchanting song, who he saved and brought her to salvation. (Sure she wasn’t happy about it and the flaming pyre she’d nearly died on was purposely left out of the history books but hey, happy ending?)

Students in NBC are taught that sometimes force is needed to help darlings save themselves from the wretched world. And they won’t be happy about it, it’s for the best. For their salvation. 

Rollo Flamme is a worshiper yandere with a guilty conscience. A devout believer of the ‘darlings are the purest things to be born of this sinful earth’, Rollo has faithfully believed that, and even magical darlings cannot receive his ire because he believes that they had been tempted by its power, thanks this world’s filth, and need to be saved. 

When it comes to you, a magicless darling not from this sinful, magical world, you rest highest on the podium of purity in his eyes. And because of that, you need to be saved from it, and those who intend to tempt and sully you. 

As for the guilty conscience part….To make adjustments for the AU, I’m making Rollo’s younger brother a darling. But because of how it happened being ambiguous at the time, Rollo was never punished, but this is why he is so protective over you specifically because magic could tear you away from him like his brother. 

In Rollo’s eyes, his darling is the purest thing in the world and if he needs to sully his own hands in every way to rid the world of the filth trying to tempt and defile you all so you can be lead to salvation and the safety of his arms, he’ll do it.

What IS this "friend of Dorothy" theory? I know it's connected to the wizard of Oz and over the rainbow as gay symbols or something, but I'm otherwise clueless...

Thanks for stopping by and asking - you’ve given me the perfect place to talk queer history 😎🤓

So a friend of Dorothy is LGBTQ+ slang for a gay man.

It’s precise origins and use as an lgbtq term isn’t fully know but it is believed to predate the 1939 Wizard of Oz movie. The theory is that its use came about based on several references in the original Frank Baum books the film is based on (which if you haven’t read I highly recommend), espeically the second one - the road to Oz. In that book, Dorothy’s friends are described as queer and her reply to that comment is that queerness doesn’t matter as long as they’re friends. There is possible innuendo related to the scarecrow when he comments that you can go both ways along the yellow brick road (his line is ‘of course some people go both ways’). And the princess Ozma in the books is viewed as one of the first transgender character in literature (it’s too long to go into in detail but basically ozma is given to a witch - mombi- who transforms her into a boy called Tip so that the rightful heir to the oz throne is usurped.

The 1939 film can be argued to take things further - all of Dorothy’s three friends have queer attributes - for example the cowardly lion is a dandy lion (which is a play on Dandelions the flower, but also on the dandy - a specific type of man that became a thing in the regency (1800’s) era and transformed men’s fashion. Beau Brummell was a major force in the development of the dandy look. He was very close friends with the prince regent of England and it is rumoured the two were lovers (there is plenty of circumstantial evidence but no official proof has come to light and the royal family keep a lot of that information under wraps if it wasn’t previously destroyed) until their very public falling out!). Other things that contribute are the change from black and white to colour in the film - which was done in large part as a way of showcasing the new Technicolor technology, but can also be viewed as a metaphor for Dorothy escaping the black and white morally rigid small town she came from and ending up in city in a world full of colour with friends equally as colourful. The song over the rainbow became a queer anthem after the films release and in part (the fact she was also one of the first stars to have her life splashed over the tabloid press in gory detail and was othered because of it was also a part of it - along with her intense stage fright and deep self doubt about her talent whilst simultaneously being an electric and absorbing performer when onstage) led to Judy garland becoming a queer icon (something she embraced) and the rainbow from the wizard of oz and from that song was a contributing factor in the adoption of the rainbow flag as a symbol of the gay community and then the wider lgbtq community (and that hs obviously developed further into the progress pride flag we have today).

Because in a pre stonewall world (stonewall happened in the days immediately after Judy’s death - it’s never been fully stated as the reason for the riots, but it may well have been a contributing spark that help ignite them), Judy had become a gay icon through ‘over the rainbow’ and the wizard of oz, her concerts were a way for gay men to meet and thus referring to themselves as a friend of Dorothy’s as a way of subtly letting other know their sexuality with a greatly reduced risk of persecution. I could go much more into Judy garlands backstory because it’s fascinating and very much related to queerness in Hollywood but I don’t have the time to right now - I recommend looking into it though there are a couple of great biographies on her or there are many documentaries that look at her life!

Happy New Year to you. My lazy son as NPC and LI. I think this took about a month to make. 70% of that time is taken by the wedding outfit alone. Commentary on each outfits and his personality backstory under Read More if you're interested :)

Your local veterinarian. He was a bratty and wild child, something his parents tried to coach him out of. Instead, he developed into a lazy and apathetic young man, and eventually his parents learned to accept the person he is. However, he sensed that he's the black sheep or "failure" compared to his successful big twin sisters, irregardless of how baseless it is. Cares for animals, not so much for humans. His character arc can go two ways depending on what you chose during the dialogues. His birthday is on 28th Spring.

He's my Star Wars OC actually. He's a Zakuulan Prince, so I incorporated that aspect into his merfolk form. If you don't see him around town, he might be underwater!

His spring outfit is based on the doodle I have of him from an ask lol. I kinda like the color cyan on him!

I forgot that Scott has a similar hibiscus shirt so I figured it was too late to modify it... Oh well.

Not much to say other than I kinda have a hard time deciding what he should wear for autumn.

He looks super snug. I really gotta learn how to draw coats to make them convicingly thick idk. He lowkey dislikes winter.

I kinda debated on if I should put body hair on him but I decided not to seeing almost every male NPC has them. I think. Yes, it's the ace flag colors.

If you marry him he'll appear in Aesan Gede, the South Sumatran (Palembang) traditional wedding attire. I can't really have his hair free because it'll get stuck on all the golden bits but I kinda am not feeling the bun either so back ponytail it is. Debated whether I should draw the Sundanese one (am half-Sundanese) because it's easier but South Sumatra has been under-represented in Indonesian media so my Srivijayan pride kicked in. Also tumblr keeps killing the transparency for some reason >;[

Does he look Prince-ly enough here? He's based on the barracuda fish. Considered making him a naga like the rest of the in-game merfolk royal family but I've actually drawn him as a merman before so I want to keep him as a... fish. blublubblub.

I just watched Wish and it wasn’t that bad or good, but the villain just felt kind of off. Was he supposed to be a good guy who just wanted what was best for people, because of his traumatic past, or was he supposed to be a narcissist villain. It would also have done so much if we just saw one dangerous wish. But no, he’s just some irredeemable villain, who doesn’t deserve to get a flashback about his childhood when it all went wrong. It honestly seams like it could, be better as an origin for an actual villain.

There’s this kingdom with a star on its flag and it’s ruled by a nice royal family and the magic godmother. You can tell them your wish and they mostly grant it. The main character is the prince or princess and they messing around in the castle. They get too close to the dungeon and get told off because there’s an evil and powerful sorcerer trapped in his own staff locked in there. They’re being taught magic by the godmother, but they’re too impatient and just was to be able to use magic now. They then decide, if the godmother won’t teach them, then maybe that sorcerer in the dungeon will. They break in and there he is, Magnifico. Trapped in his staff and hasn’t aged a bit. They talk a bit and he say, just grab the staff, say this and then you’ll know all of the magic I know. But it actually switches their places and now he’s free and he will only grant one wish now, his own. Then it’s revealed to the characters at some point that he was the first king, the founder of that country. It was kind of brushed under the rug after he was trapped.

I don’t have more than that. I just wanted him to have some motivation

I’m gonna try to list all the Sonic AUs both me and my friend have made and just some I’ve made by myself but I’m not going to go into complete detail on them if you want complete details on a certain one then fine but on this post you’re probably gonna get bits and pieces because there’s too many AU’s

Here we go:

Interview With a Vampire AU: Scourge and Shadow are basically Louis and Lestat and Cream is their adopted daughter

Queen of The Damned AU: Basically the same as the first AU but Scourge is a rock star facing a midlife crises after losing his husband and kid

Good Omens AU: Shadow and Sonic are basically Crowley and Aziraphale but instead of them giving the antichrist to someone else or whatever happened in that show I don’t remember, they kidnap the antichrist baby and raise him in secret.

Fem Shadow and Male Sonic kids AU: Sonic and Shadow have kids. That’s basically it. And Shadow is a girl. They have twins by the way. We had the thought of Fem Shadow thinking she’s infertile but sleeps with Sonic and he end up knocking her up with twins and it’s just humor

Fem Shadow and Male Scourge kids AU: Basically the same as the last one but they have three kids that are age spaced.

Wayne AU: Scourge and Amy basically being that show Wayne where they basically run off with each other.

Spy Family AU: Basically Spy Family with Sonic as Loid, Shadow as Yor and Tails as Anya

Buddy Daddies AU: Basically just Buddy Daddies with Sonic, Shadow and Tails

Gravitation AU; Basically the anime Gravitation with Shadow as a book writer and Sonic as a singer and they fall in love reluctantly

Serial Killer AU 1: Scourge and Sonic are brothers who are serial killers and Shadow and Amy are the detectives trying to figure out the murders while not noticing that the two guys they’re dating are the killers

Serial Killer AU 2: Sonic is a retired serial killer who has settled down and had a family with female shadow and she knows what he used to be but is alright being with him as long as he doesn’t start up again for the sake of their kids but newsflash he didn’t retire and is still secretly doing it

Female shadow and Sonic kids AU 2: Shadow is beloved to have died from childbirth but somebody drugged her in order to fake her death and turn her into basically the winter soldier and after years of grieving his wife Sonic sees a familiar face that shakes him to his core

Female shadow and Sonic kids AU 3 and 4: Where Shadow finds out she’s pregnant with Sonic’s kids and runs off. There’s scourgeamy in this too where Scourge gets Amy pregnant and leaves her because he’s scared of being a shit dad.

Female Shadow and Sonic kid AU 5: Sonic and Shadow’s son gets manipulated into being evil, that’s basically it

Royal AU 1: Prince Sonic is arranged to marry Princess Sally Acorn but instead falls in love with Shadow whose basically the towns village recluse witch

Royal AU 2: Same as Royal AU 1 but Prince Sonic is a yandere

Genderbent Yuri AU: Just good ol Shadow and Sonic being genderbent lesbians

Royal/Monster AU: Sonic is arranged to marry Sally and on his wedding day is kidnapped by female Shadow who’s a demon and falls in love with her instead

The Vampire Dies in No Time AU: Sonic is a vampire hunter who destroys Shadow’s house based on rumors of kidnapping kids and eating them so vampire Shadow moves in with him in his apartment as revenge

Our Flag Means Death AU: Sonic is a rich boy who decides to be a real pirate and set off to seas while meeting and falling in love with the notorious pirate Shadow who is honestly tired of being a pirate

Demon AU: Sonic characters are basically demon princes in hell, my friends OC was Pride, Shadow was Wrath, Scourge was Lust and I don’t remember who else was who but we had a world built and everything and it’s probably our more detailed AUs like this one actually has a lot to it with Tails being a fallen angel, Scourge falling in love with Angel Amy and just the caste system in general

Hero AU: Kinda based this off of Lego Monkie Kid but very loosely so Sonic runs a superhero team and falls in love with Shadow who’s the son of a villain. Basically based their dynamic off of Red Son and MK.

Bound AU: Basically the movie Bound with fem Shadow and fem Sonic. Just them being lesbians who happen to do crime.

Killer AU: Okay this one is actually our most detailed one that I can remember but there’s so much going on this one that it’s hard to explain but like Shadow is being haunted by Scourge no one can see him but him and something something he meets Shadow in a psychiatric ward and shadow can see ghosts and- it’s just a lot I might have to go over the notes on this one with my friend because we have so much like even Tails gets adopted by Sonic and Shadow in this one and there were weddings and kidnappings and it’s just a lot also Sonic has one eye in this au so there’s that too. The final day of the tourney dawned as it should: glorious and golden and windy and bright.

The tourney grounds were a sea of silken tents and shields and horses, knights in brilliantly plated armor, and squires running around to do their masters’ bidding. Pennants and flags snapped and fluttered with the wind. The air rang with the sounds of shouts and curses and laughter, hammers striking steel and iron, and it soon grew rich with the scents of bread and mead and meat roasting over braziers.

The royal box was already full. Everyone had been garbed in the most splendid robes and jewels. The king was present, as was the prince. Both were dressed in doublets of black and green studded with a double row of golden flames. Eru wore a crown of gold and emeralds and onyx, and his son wore none. He could not wear one until he was anointed under the light of the stars. Prince Manwë did not seem to mind. He spoke to the others, made jests, and put his name down for a wager.

What a wager it was. The king himself pledged the finest horse in his herd and an opportunity to hunt in the royal forests; a courtier pledged a fat purse of gold coin, and a lady threw in her emerald ring. Many and more threw their names into the pot, and the wager grew and grew. The sheer value was staggering. It was to be expected. The Lord Commander himself was jousting.

The Lord Commander. The Lord Commander, Eönwë Úrion. He commanded the king’s armies and was the fiercest soldier to have ever lived and breathed. A warrior without peer, so the singers said. No one could stand before him.

No one knew much of him besides his skills and prowess in battle either. Eönwë kept to himself. A disciplined man, he would start his day by breaking his fast with a simple meal before heading off to the armory to arm and armor himself. After morning rounds around Ilmarin, he would spend most of his day training himself and others and meeting with the king. He would see himself off to the baths before settling in his private library by evenfall if there were no pressing matters. Even his supper was a quiet affair. You would know; you served him yourself.

You left your mother and brother after the town crier came to the market square and shouted that the palace was looking for new maids. The coin proved too much to resist, and your family needed it. Your brother had been injured in a hunting accident, and your father left one day, never to return. Your family was left destitute. The work would be hard but the king was known to many as a fair and generous master to those who served him well. Leaving your family and the life you knew was a struggle, but it had to be done. A turn of the moon after your arrival, the Lord Commander had seen you and had asked you to serve him instead. A strange request was what it was, but you did not mind. Seeing just him was an easier task. Not having to be at the beck and call of every courtier at the palace was a pleasant prospect. The Lord Commander asked for little and barely spoke in the beginning. Then he slowly loosened his tongue.

He would ask after you, and your family. He would even laugh if you said something amusing. The moment you walked through the door and he caught sight of you, his eyes would light up. They would also follow you everywhere. 

You did not notice at first, but you felt it. A strange but pleasant prickling sensation crawled up your spine whenever your back was turned. When you turned, Eönwë would be looking somewhere else. It felt like he was not looking at all. But his cheeks… they always bore the tell-tale sign of a blush. Sometimes, his fingers would brush against yours before he locked eyes with you. He would look at you, his very gaze softening, and open his mouth to say something. Then he seemed to think better of it before looking the other way.  

It frightened you. And it flattered you. Eönwë was a kind man, one who treated you with nothing but the utmost courtesy. You soon looked forward to seeing him and talking with him, even helping him with his tasks. His touch, no matter how light or tender, would soon set your heart racing. His smile was enough to make your skin tingle. Slowly, he would find his way into your dreams. They were all sweet and beautiful dreams, filled with promises and magic. Come morning, those dreams would give way to the cold light of day and harshness of reality.

Eönwë would never go beyond brief touches and tender smiles. He was the Lord Commander, and a senior courtier besides. Courtship and marriage were matters of state for those such as him. The king had to approve of his choice, and you knew the king would never approve. You were a servant and lowborn. Eru would never bless such a union; he would expect his general to wed a lady of the highest birth. Any dream you may have had of Eönwë courting you and even marrying you would have to remain just that. A dream. Nothing more.

And now you were here, in the royal box, serving everyone. Of food there was aplenty. Guests of the royal family and the court helped themselves to figs and cheese and the finest berries of the season, and later, delicate pastries, pies, herbed sausages, and roasted corn. There were flagons of beer and flagons of ale and pitchers of cool water for those who had a thirst. You stood to one side after you had served and watched while scores of heroes and warriors rode before the king. Eönwë stood out in plated armor inlaid with golden swirls, and little sapphires and emeralds. He was a vision, tall and proud and fierce, every maiden’s dream made flesh. And his eyes only sought yours.

Eönwë had dreamed of you. He dreamed of you often, and every night. He would see himself chasing you through the empty halls and corridors of Ilmarin, always missing you by mere moments. Your laughter would ring out like a song. "Find me," you would say, and taunt him, and run away from him in a swirl of silk and ribbons. "I am here," you would say again, and then you would call out from somewhere else and say, "No. I am here. Here I am, my lord."

The game you played with him, one of cat and mouse, was both maddening and exhilarating. By the time he caught you, he was out of breath. You would whisper sweet endearments to him while he carried you to his chambers. Your laughter slowly turned to soft moans while he kissed you and lost himself in your flesh. He would grow drunk on your scent and sigh when his cheek brushed against the wisps of your hair. Your nails would rake down his back when you cried out his name. His name. Just his. The very thought of it was enough to send shivers down his spine.

Eönwë was certain he was dreaming now. He glanced up at you, hiding in the shadows, the wind sweeping through stray locks of your hair. Every high-born lady had her gaze fixed on him, but he did not see them. All he saw was you. 

Mercy, she is lovely, he thought. And he knew he had kept his true feelings towards you hidden for too long. Today, he said to himself. Everything will depend on today.

He shook his head when the Master of Revels came forth and a blare of trumpets sounded. The first tilts were announced, and riders went to take their places.

The rest of the day passed with warhorses snorting and charging down the lists, silks of red and green and silver and blue and every other color imaginable swirling around their saddles. Their charge would end in the splintering of wood and riders struck and unhorsed, and worse. More than one knight had to be carried off in a stretcher. Some would cough up blood. Those unfortunate few would never open their eyes at all.

Lord Tulkas was one of the riders who distinguished themselves. He rode brilliantly. His armor had been chased in silver and gold, and a golden bear reared on the crest of his helm. It glinted whenever it caught the sunlight. He first unhorsed Sir Tilion of House Archer, striking him with such force that he flew off his saddle and landed on the flat of his back with an awful clangor. The gasps from the crowd were loud, and the cheers that followed were louder still when Tilion rose to his feet and removed his helm to show that he was unharmed. He grinned wickedly and winked at a lady before walking off with his squire.

"Good thing it was not his Lord," Eru mumbled to his son. You were close enough to hear. "Oromë has a most wretched temper, I hear."

You kept your attention straight ahead, looking away only when called to serve. Eru called you and asked for something cold to drink. You made your way around lords and ladies and servants alike, only to slowly sneak into the ice cellar and find something you knew the king would like.

"Ah. Iced lemon water with honey?" Eru whispered, his silvery eyes lighting up with barely disguised glee when you returned. 

"The last of it, your grace," you whisper in reply before pouring a cup for him.

Eru accepted the cup with an eager hand. "My gratitude." He drank deeply and sighed in contentment. "Tell me, y/n, how long have you been working in the palace?"

You looked at him, shocked. The king knew you by name. "For… for almost a year now, your grace," you replied quickly after remembering your courtesies. 

Eru smiled. "And your family?" 

"Just my mother and brother, your grace," you told him. "My father left us one day. No one has heard a word from him since then."

"Is your brother employed?" The king inquired. "Does he have a trade?" 

"He helps my mother with the animals and her weaving, your grace. My brother is crippled, you see," you confided. "A hunting accident. He went after a boar and it gored his leg before it finally died."

It was strange that the king asked you such questions about your family. The others were straining their necks to listen, thinking the exchange would make choice gossip. It made you uncomfortable. Eru saw it. He turned and gave the rest such a look they withered into their seats. 

"Ignore that lot," he advised, not unkindly, and held up his cup. "And thank you for this."

You smiled and dipped into a deep curtsy before melting into the shadows. 

The jousts went on. Lord Tulkas went on to unhorse both Salmar of House Alqualondë and Arien of House Starfield, before losing a hard-fought match against one of his own, the lady Meássë. 

“Lady Meássë of House Shield!” The Master of Revels called. “Sir Makar, also of House Shield!”

Someone started another wager. This time it was to decide if Meássë or her twin, Makar, would win. Everyone talked in excited voices. The twins had never ridden against each other before. 

They took their places, their inky black chargers pawing at the earth. The twins were clad in armor enameled in the color of blood. Wisps of auburn hair could be seen beneath their helms. That was where the similarities ended. Makar was burly; his twin slender and lithe. Her helm bore a crouching lioness, his none. When the trumpets sounded they rode, the crowds crying out in unison. Their horses met in the center in a crash of wood against steel. It was a draw. They charged against each other a second time, then a third, evenly matched, before Meássë finally struck good fortune and her brother fell to the dirt. Makar, furious, removed his helm and hurled it into the crowd. Someone was nearly struck in the head. They shouted at him. Makar shouted back. His curses carried around the gallery. The jeers were loud. His twin laughed, and it enraged him. He would have done more had his lord not walked into the field and pointed to the king.

Makar stood to attention, his entire body tense. He clenched his fists so hard that his knuckles slowly turned white. He refused to leave, when custom demanded he do so. Finally, Lord Tulkas had to grab Makar by the arm and drag him away after giving an apologetic look at the king. Meássë followed, snickering to herself.

"Looks like Lord Oromë is not the only one with a temper," Prince Manwë observed. "What are you going to do, father?"

"Leave him be for now," Eru replied. "He has already made a fool of himself. That should serve for the present."

The next match was just as anticipated as the match between the twins. 

“Sir Ossë, freerider in the service of House Alqualondë!” Came the Master of Revels cry. “Against Lord Commander Eönwë Úrion of House Ilúvatar!”

All the ladies spoke in hushed, excited tones. As an unwed lord, Eönwë could ask a favor from any unwed lady he wished. You observed discretely how they fiddled with brooches and rings and wreaths. Eönwë removed his helm and rode slowly around the gallery before stopping beneath the royal box. His dark hair had been pulled into a neat braid for the jousts. The other ladies sat up straight and smiled brightly, thinking he would address them, and them alone. The Lord Commander let his eyes skim over the crowd before they found you, keeping to the shadows as always.

“My lady y/n," he addressed you directly. "I was hoping to ask for your favor."

The entire gallery went silent. You stood where you were, struck dumb by the request. The other ladies turned to look, not all of them kind. Eönwë kept looking at you, fear and hope warring in his eyes. 

His throat had tightened when he rode over to the royal box and found you still standing there, a glass pitcher in hand. What he was about to do was unheard of. Eönwë would not just be asking for your favor; he was hoping to court and wed you, a servant no less. The revelation would unleash quite the scandal at court, and he would have to take you away to wait out the storm. Eönwë considered the storm worth it, but everything hinged on your answer. 

The crowd waited and watched. Those in the royal box waited and watched. You could not hide. Not now. Not when everyone was looking at you, expecting you to do something. And you had to do something. Answer him, at the very least. 

"My lord," you said nervously and stepped out into the sunlight. "I... I am but a servant... your request... it... it may not even be proper."

"I do not care that you are a servant," Eönwë replied, more confident this time. "I would be honored to wear your favor. And court you, once this is all over."

There was an uproar. The other nobles were scandalized. Your heart pounded even as your ears filled with the shouts of hundreds of people. You glanced at the other ladies, those who were hoping the Lord Commander would seek them instead. They were furious, their eyes ablaze with anger. It made your blood run cold.

If he left me, you thought, frightened. I would be at their mercy.

"No one will harm you." Eönwë had seen the looks and was less than pleased. He expected this to happen, but not so brazenly. "Even if you refuse," he said, his heart gripped with fear. Eönwë feared you would refuse him. "No one will harm you. I give you my word."

You looked at him and saw only him. For once, you did not see the battle-hardened warrior of legend. All you saw was a man full of hope and fear and dread. What was it that he dreaded? Your refusal?

"My lord," you said, forcing yourself forward, each step a struggle, and turning a blind eye to the stares. "What you ask of me... the king..."

"The king already knows," Eru declared to everyone's shock. "And the king approves. And once you decide on a day, the king will gladly issue a proclamation."

You turned to face the king, as stunned as the rest. 

The questions, you reflected. The king knowing your name. Him asking after your family. Did the Lord Commander approach him already?

“Lord Eönwë approached me with his intentions," Eru said, his eyes glinting with good humor. "Go on. This king is not getting any younger."

 A smile worked its way across your face. Some of the others laughed. You turned back to Eönwë. His shy looks, his attempts to speak with you, they all made sense now. He wanted to court you. He even went as far as to ask the king for his blessing. All that remained was for you to give your answer. You licked your lips nervously, remembering your dreams, how sweet they were.

There will be a storm, you thought when you caught the ugly looks. And a price to be paid. Will he be worth it?

You looked at Eönwë again. He was looking at you expectantly. Perhaps the price would be worth it, with him by my side. Finally, you said, "I have nothing for a favor, my lord. Just a ribbon."

The way his deep blue eyes lit up, like they had been lit by the light of the sun itself. It took your breath away. "Then I will gladly accept it."

You placed the pitcher on a small table before removing a thin strip of embroidered silk bound around your braid. You walked right up to the balcony, hesitant to let go of it. "My mother made this for me."

"I will guard it with my life," Eönwë promised, even as he smiled at you. The fear that gripped his heart ebbed away into nothingness. His smile widened and grew when you finally let go of the ribbon and it floated down to him. He caught it and brought it to his lips. The act was simple, but the meaning was understood by everyone. He was choosing you and forsaking all others. The thought made your eyes grow wet with tears.

"I will see you when this is over, my lady," he said, before turning his horse and riding back to his place, your ribbon firmly in his palm.

The Verstappen Kids

Just some little things for my 'Our Long Road' AU about Max and Juliette's four lovely and beloved children. Collectively called 'The Cubs', and the Verstappen family are labelled as 'The Royal Family of F1'.

Emilian Victor Verstappen

Born in November 9th 2024 in Geneva, Switzerland to Max and Juliette Verstappen.

Older Twin brother to Estelle.

Born six days after their dad wins his fourth championship.

Grows up with a passion for football, being a PSV Eindhoven supporter like his father.

He goes into football academies as a kid, and proves to be the best of his class.

Models his football game style off of Lionel Messi and Julian Alvarez.

Also loves music, playing guitar as a way to relax.

His parents' little prince, his father's shadow as a kid, but seeks his mom out for advice and comfort.

Ends up playing for PSV Eindhoven as a forward, wearing the number 33 for his dad. A number he also wears for the Dutch National Team.

Ends up dating Alex and Lily's eldest daughter, Violet Albon.

A model student at school in Geneva, particularly excelling at History, Maths, Languages, and Geography.

Big into video games just like his dad, and games with his cousins and siblings whenever he's able.

The protector of the quartet, as the oldest by five minutes, he takes his job as a big brother very seriously.

Has a very strong bond with his twin sister, and is never far from her as a kid.

Nicknames: Emil, EV33, The Flash.

Very quickly becomes the future of Dutch football, being the talisman for both the Dutch team and PSV as their star forward.

Emilian grows into a confident and strong leader for his teams as he matures in the football world, eventually becoming captain for his club.

An attentive listener, calm and collected under pressure, and driven to succeed at all he applies himself to.

As blunt as his father in his manner of speaking, and always honest with people, but is never cruel with it.

When Emilian and Violet get together, Violet quickly becomes part of the family unit.

Will never admit it to anyone, but keeps his childhood lion plush toy on him when he moves to the Netherlands for good luck.

Estelle tries to teach him how to skate when they're kids, but Emilian never becomes any good at it, content to support her from the sidelines.

Inherits her mother's love for figure skating, falling in love with the elegance and beauty of the sport right away.

Models her skating after Kim Yuna instead of the Russian girls.

Takes to the ice at the age of five, and is a natural at figure skating.

Estelle also learns how to knit and crochet, and uses it as a way to unwind after training.

Her mother's little princess, but has her dad wrapped around her finger.

Represents the Netherlands for figure skating, but always keeps both flags in her skating bag.

Casper Dominic Verstappen

Born in August 18th 2028 in Geneva, Switzerland to Max and Juliette Verstappen.

The first singleton child of the family.

Born the year Max moves to WEC.

Is the lone one of the cubs to go into race driving. Spending two seasons in F1 driving for Red Bull before going into WEC - driving for Porsche. Using the number 66 in F1.

As a driver, Casper is most compared to his dad, uncle, and to Sebastian Vettel - one of his other mentors.

Max is overjoyed to put his second son into Karting, and Casper excels right away.

An avid cook from an early age, often cooks for the cubs when their parents are away, and helps them in the kitchen.

Incredibly close to both of his parents, and to his uncle Charles - who he closely resembles.

Unlike the twins, Casper races under a Monegasque license, to honour both his mother and uncles.

The family prankster, teaming up with his cousin Jules to prank the other grid kids and their parents.

Often butts heads with his older brother over things, but the two love each other very much.

A huge engineering nerd, with a love of all kinds of vehicle. And goes into Sim Racing just like his father.

Has a bull on his racing helmet, as well as the names of his parents and siblings.

Is the shy one of the cubs as a kid, being most comfortable around horses and her family, but Juliette helps her out of her shell over time.

The Cubs Together

The cubs never feel quite complete without each other, calling themselves 'four quarters of a whole' as they grow up.

Emilian is the leader, Estelle is the brains, Casper is the energy, and Annika is the heart.

The cubs have their arguments, all siblings with such contrasting personalities and passions do, but they always make up afterwards, and are left stronger for it.

They instate a pact with each other to attend each other's sporting events whenever they're able to.

Max and Juliette raise them to support each other in everything, and to be there for emotional support.

They share everything with each other, having no secrets, following their parents' example.

As professional athletes, they always shout each other out, creating a fandom for themselves as their parents, uncles, and aunts did.

They're all deeply protective over each other, but the significant others do become family really quickly.

They grow up calling Seb, Kimi, and Fernando their 'grandpas' as Juliette lost her father in her teens, and Max doesn't let his father near them for a long time.

The cubs become an example to follow for all of the grid kids to come.

The media labels them as 'The Princes and Princesses of The Paddock'. However, they prefer 'The Cubs' - even into adulthood.

They all become heavily involved in growing their individual sports.

Yeah, that's about all I can think of for the Verstappen Cubs. I can already kinda feel how much personality they all have unto themselves and together. I want them to be kind of a perfect mixture of their parents in a lot of ways. I'd imagine the entire grid family would be deeply proud of the people the cubs grow into.

This was fun to work on the last couple of days, and I'm glad this got done before I lost energy on it!

aus..ok brace yourself for ALL the au ideas that popped in my head since shipping turkuzbek:

beauty and the beast au: takes place in a fictional world, but clothes + possibly palace is inspired off of 18th century ottoman empire. uzb is belle, turkey's the beast obviously, couldn't settle on a maurice so just made it her sibs, russia is gaston....??? I felt like the dynamic really works with them, my favorite movie for my favorite ship <3

cardverse au: ok so in this au uzb is a seamstress for the royal family of clubs. all of a sudden she finds herself between a rock and a tight place as she must spin straw into gold. enter turkey, a joker with no real loyalty to any of the main 4 kingdoms. he offers her help in exchange for something of hers, and helps her get the job done while also making small talk. she slowly finds herself laughing and having fun with this rando, and his occasional visits to her sewing room soon become the highlight of her day. she initially gives him her bracelet, necklace, any jewelry she has...

until she's given the ultimate task of spinning a whole roomful of straw into gold in one day. if she succeeds, she marries the king as his royal consort. if she doesn't she is executed. she hates both of these ideas and is freaking out, especially since she doesn't have anything to give turkey anymore. he helps her anyway, and then goes by the "if you don't have anything left to give, you can pay with your body" philosophy, and essentially asks her to elope with him. she agrees, and when the king opens the door the next day he finds a room full of gold and no royal consort-to-be.

college au: he's the business major to her fashion design major. he tried complaining about his workload once and she dunked on him for that. they regularly go on joyrides together. i was considering making them fiances? if it made the au more interesting...

if we're not going the fiance route, they both have a mutual friend(korea), who sneakily invites both of them to the campus's music and dance event on the basis of korea's club performing kpop dance. uzbekistan is so uncomfortable with the rave music and promises herself she'll stay for korea's performance and leave the moment it's over. she pulls her phone out to record korea and looks to her side and HER CRUSH IS THERE??? HUH??

so they both stare at each other like "what are YOU doing here??" turkey's even more confused since she's the last person he'd expect to show up to a rave and dance performance event. by the time the performance is over, korea pats them both on the back and goes "I'm so glad my 2 best friends showed up to support me!"

monster high au: turkey's a werewolf(haha turan moment) and she's a werecat. they do NOT get along at first, but slowly their rivalry turns into something like romantic tension as they point tennis balls and laser pointers in each others' faces threatening to use them. next thing you know they're dating??? w,what
