Not sure how I genuinely feel about this pairing but. I think that despite having 1 canon interaction this could be the funniest dm pairing

here are some preliminary sketches I had done in my sketchbook for the peepaw chilchuck comic.
I wanted to follow it up with some worldbuilding thoughts I had while working on it, if that sort of thing is interesting to anyone:
- it’d take place 5ish years post-canon
- I changed almost everyone’s hair to show time had passed. Chilchuck and Kabru were the most drastic (I COULDNT STOP THINKING ABOUT THAT LONG HAIR KABRU THAT KUI DREW), Marcille grew out her bangs, Senshi’s beard is slightly shorter, and Izutsumi’s hair is mildly longer. Laios and Falin give me the impression that they’re the brand of neurodivergent that’d pick one haircut and stick to it for the rest of their lives. I almost gave Laios facial hair but idk he’s gotten over his daddy issue enough for that.
- Emertim Chils: I tried to follow both the half-foot and dwarven naming conventions for the baby, so Emer- comes from “emerald” (dwarven names are often gemstones or ore) and -tim because Chilchuck’s father’s first name was Tim :) Dwarves don’t have family names, so Emertim would take Chils, same as Flertom. Usually they’re named after their father but I didn’t wanna name a random dwarf man. thank you Chel for helping name him 🫶💕
- Initially the idea that Chilchuck would keep an entire grandchild a secret was just a joke, but it made sense when I thought about it. I wonder,, would dwarf/half-foot couples have trouble conceiving? Because if so, I’d imagine Flertom may have lost a couple pregnancies. Chilchuck is already such a private person, and I don’t think he’d feel comfortable airing his daughter’s grief like that. They wouldn’t wanna tell anyone until they were sure this baby was gonna make it.
- For the above reason, Chilchuck would absolutely spoil this kid. Not that he wouldn’t have spoiled his grandkids anyway, but I think after all that stress, he’d be extra extra doting. He’d be letting him do things he’d never DREAM of letting his own daughters do. Completely different parenting style.
- I think he’s still too prideful to take advantage of Laios being King (sidenote: is Laios even wealthy??? does a kingdom that sprung up from a previously-sunken continent even have money?? what the fuck is their economy), but like,,, if Laios offered any gifts he wouldn’t exactly say no.
- Izutsumi surprisingly really likes the baby :3 she’d like to take naps with him and he’d like her purrs and she’d have a lot of fun playing with him.
- SENSHI. meemaw mode. That kid would grow up not realizing Senshi isn’t technically one of his grandads. He is FEEEEEDING this kid.
- LAIOS DOES GET TO HOLD THE BABY!!!!!! just. eventually. They don’t actually expect a Tarrare situation LMAO they just wait until the kid is a little less fragile and a little more mobile. I think Laios would be really good with toddlers.
- Chilchuck is very thankful Emertim’s half-foot genes kick in sooner than later because he was getting too big for him to carry.
- Emertim would probably get the extended lifespan. He and Marcille would get to stay friends for a very very long time :’)
- my personal headcanon is that Chilchuck and his wife decide to split. He still loves her and it’s probably still a bit mutual, but after four years of almost no-contact, they decide their communication issues aren’t working well for their relationship. Plus, the Adventurer’s Bible says Chilchuck is renting their old house out to family, and he’d feel bad kicking them out so he and wife could move back in. They’d still be on good terms, and would be good at coordinating when to babysit.

Dungeon Meshi Liveblog: I THINK BEING A NECROMANCER WOULD FIX ME, TOO
Tumblr media
HOLD THE FUCKING PHONE, ARE WE GOING TO EAT HIM?!
.
Tumblr media
I think my boy Laios just headbutted a phoenix?
.
Tumblr media
He's so fucking clever under stress, I love him so much!!!
.
Tumblr media
/laughing
.
Tumblr media
Dad energy.
.
Tumblr media
Book's awake!
You: What?
Me, loading a gun to go kill this motherfucker before it messes with Marcille and to a lesser extent Laios: Book's awake.
.
Tumblr media
This is normal sibling behavior on Falin's part, actually.
.
Tumblr media
holy shit I'm about to meet the rabbits everyone was :)ing about. The rabbits that haunt Chilchuck's concept of monsters. THE Rabbits.
.
Tumblr media
.
oh my god the rabbits
Tumblr media

Tumblr media Tumblr media
MARCILLE NO! (MARCILLE YES!)
(Chilchuck is going to be so. pissed. when he finds out about this.)
.
Tumblr media
MOVE ASIDE, CHIMERA GIRL, I'M MARRYING THIS WOMAN!
what a line, too. Oh my god I really do want to play a Necromancer wizard sometime...
.
I'm laughing hysterically. This is the best. I'm just going to keep some of the best panels but oh my god they're all the best.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm getting strong Candace Flynn (Phineas & Ferb) "Squirrels In My Pants" x "Queen of Mars" vibes?!?
.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
SHOUTOUT TO IZUTSUMI FOR KILLING A DUNGEON RABBIT WITH HER BARE TEETH!! And also for enduring this, uh, zombie nightmare. Necromancers amiright.
(/sobs - I wanna play a necromancer wizard in a long-plot D&D game SO BAD...)
.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
IT WORKED, THOUGH! Marcille, it worked. You did it. Laios had total faith in you (Laios had total faith in a friend again and he was right again), and you did it. You saved them all. And you're going to make a stew for Falin, which is the language of love and life-giving, and save her, too.
.
Tumblr media
And! the fact that this is all happening in this room where Thistle has been desperately trying to retain a masquerade of life just as grotesque, though slightly more pretty, as Marcille's mass animation there! Except it wasn't really more pretty at all, because absolutely everything was a mess - our heroes were the ones who made it nice enough to actually live in. But everyone is still just as dead ("alive" but un-hungering, even when conscious) as Laios, Senshi, Chilchuck, Izutsumi and these rabbits - mimicking the motions of life, of walking and moving or of growing crops, raising farm animals and sitting down to eat... Thistle is in blind denial; Marcille is weeping.
.
Tumblr media
ohhh my god she's not just taking measures to avoid personal loss, or to prevent anyone else from avoiding personal loss... She, too, is aware of the interracial politics... (And it's lifespans specifically to which she doesn't want to lose anyone ever again. That's why the monster appeared in the background when Chilchuck told her that halffeet lifespans are 50 years, that's why Laios was specifically dying of old age in her nightmare... It really was SPECIFICALLY old age that terrifies her... Death by monster or murder or whatnot is one thing, but she Does Not Want to outlive anyone she loves, and she doesn't want anyone else to have to do it either.)

saw some posts on this website discussing what sort of videogames the dunmeshi characters would play and i think everyone is wrong. everyone is wrong except for me so im going to spell out exactly who plays what. putting it under a read more because im going on a damn tangent.
Laios: He's not a gamer he does not play games on purpose he will only ever play video games when his friends ask him to join them in their multiplayer things. One day tho Falin told him about Monster Hunter and now thats the only thing he plays aside from Spore and he has sunk countless hours into that damn game. Also he probably has played Some pokemon but he doesnt like PLAYING it he just likes it in concept he knows the name of all the pokemon
marcille: people keep saying she would be a cosy gamer playing animal crossing and stardew and other cute games ^-^ its so lalalaaaa NO!!!!!!! no she does not. Marcille plays games that stress her out on purpose marcille plays overwhelming micromanagey games like lobotomy corporation and rimworld and etc. She also likes games with deep lore and mysteries to discover. The only thing that doesn't fit in this category that she plays is Minecraft shes always in there CREATIVE MODE building virtual dungeons and other crazy shit. Also she plays on her work laptop with trackpad ok
Chilchuck: This one is for me. This one im just basing off my own dad ok. Chilchuck used to be a hardcore gamer in his youth but specifically he was playing stuff like world of warcraft and old school runescape he had really big setups so he could run several instances of the game at once on all his alt accounts so he could beat a boss by himself and he was really good at it. But then he had kids and didnt have time for this sort of thing so he stopped playing videogames aside from occasionally helping his daughters beat a super hard mario level. Later in life he probably discovered some shitty little low-commitment phone game like pokemon go or pikmin bloom or some daily sudoku puzzle thing and he plays it every day but its not that big a deal. He has been pressured by his friends and daughters to make a roblox account but he hasnt played it at all.
Senshi: THIS guy is the one that plays animal crossing. He logs in when he can but hes not on that every day grind. Also he doesnt play the newest one he doesnt play horizons he plays one of the DS ones. Wild world probably. He either doesn't like or doesn't know about the nintendo switch. Whenever one of his villagers say that they want to leave he'll nod solemnly and say smth like "Well... I suppose it'd be selfish to ask ye to stay, friend... Just promise me you'll stay safe and never forget me... Go and explore the world. Wish ye the best." Plus his island would be covered in weeds. He also has some mobile games he enjoys angry birds and candy crush and crosswords (gotta keep the brain in shape!) but other than that he doesn't videogame much because he prefers board games and tabletop stuff he isnt too jazzed about all this modern technology plus a console or a laptop and all that gaming equipment is a lot to lug around and hes a nomad he would NOT have that shit
Falin: Now FALIN is the cosy gamer. kind of. Falin plays animal crossing new horizons sometimes and has fun making a bad island on purpose. Very mildly "bad" tho the worst she'll do is use the drawing feature to hide a giant penis on the beach or whatever. Or she'll give her villagers silly outfits. She also plays minecraft (either skyblock or she makes a new world and explores and builds a couple houses and then forgets about it and makes another new world) and roblox (likes 'trolling' strangers by dressing up funny and acting kind of strange in roleplay servers but she's never actually mean or anything.) But the big thing she likes is story-driven indie rpgmaker games. She's the person who will say shit like "Yeah I played Blums Booglies the quest for Big Dinners and it was so good I cried for 9 hours" completely unironically.
kabru: social gamer like laios but the games he plays on purpose are the sims (he likes to cause them problems) and online multiplayer games (he likes to peoplewatch). I can also see him doing absurd and tortrous challenge runs of games like No items no pokecenter one type hardcore nuzlockes. im correct
izutsumi: ACTUALLY trolls people on roblox. And she plays needlessly gory flash games. Maybe she calls people dumbfucks over valorant voice chat sometimes

I'm looking at having to start eating certain somethings on the regular or start chewing on a lot more daily pills and I wasn't up for either option. Had a dream where Senshi (from Dunmeshi) was preparing a meal for me using one of those somethings. He explained at length all the different ways the somethings could be prepared so I wouldn't have taste exhaustion. (Is that a thing?)
"Having to change your diet can be just as stressful as having to change your lifestyle, because that's what you're doing. But by taking little steps and bites now, you can prevent more drastic measures later. Not to mention, you don't have to do this alone. Here, you're just dreaming about being in the dungeon with me. When you wake up, even the taste of this soup will fade. But you have family that would be happy to help you, if not to cook for you, then to cook with you."
"Sure, you could chew on concentrated pills everyday, but nutrients are best absorbed when you're happy, so why not take the time to learn something new and to share the fun of learning."
The soup was done. I didn't know those things could be combined like that, but I remembered the cookbook in my waking kitchen that did just that. He gave me a bowl and spoon. "Careful, it's hot."
As I sipped on the broth, he continued detailing all the ways that I could update my diet and how doing so would have other effects on my lifestyle.
"Sometimes change is very hard because you can't imagine how life could be any different from what you're used to. But the same fruit that is used to make a sweet dessert, can also be the basis for a savory dinner. You just have to be willing to try, and to have enough respect for yourself to say when something works and when it doesn't."
I held the now empty bowl in my lap. "That's the thing, Senshi. I'm not sure I'm worth the effort to try."
He took the bowl and refilled it. "I think you are. I know you are. Or I wouldn't be here. This place, this dungeon of your mind, is constantly shifting. But ultimately, it wants to be okay. It wants you to be okay. And if that means we are in the same space for a while, here we are."
He handed me a second helping. "When you wake up, pay attention to what you ate here. The taste will not come with you to the waking. But it will signal what your body needs most right now."
He stood up and began to clean his now empty pan. "If all goes well, we will never meet here again. I will return to the story I came from. You will go to create your own. But if I mean anything to you, let it be something good for you. If you feel bad for letting yourself down, know that I'm proud of you for trying. Farewell."
He slung his pan and sack over his shoulder and ambled into the dark passageway. The moment he was out of sight, I heard stone scraping against stone and knew there was no way for us to meet again.
I finished the soup and placed the empty bowl and spoon on the floor where the dungeon cleaners immediately gathered to decompose the wood. The taste of the meal was already gone, but the memory of the cookbook was stronger. I turned and saw a set of steps leading up with a faint light far ahead. The moment I put a foot on the first step, daylight envelopes me and I woke up.
The first thing I did was to drink a big glass of water. Senshi's meal was very fluid and I remembered his advice.
Today, I had a different lunch, one that incorporated the food I needed to add but in a way that made it a pleasure to eat. As I did, I realized there is a common drink that I could keep at work and at home that would not be a bother.
Actually, it would be a welcome change.
I just had to accept that the change was necessary and if it took externalizing my concerns like this so I could address it, then so be it.
Thanks, Senshi. I'll do my best.

20 Fic Writer Quesions
First, thank you @singeart and @mytardisisparked for tagging me!. I did a set of these last year and it was fun to see how my answers have changed since then!
How many works do you have on Ao3?
61
2. What’s your total Ao3 word count?
1.6 million and counting!
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Star Trek Voyager
Star Trek Prodigy
Sailor Moon
Harry Potter
Madam Secretary
Ive debated writing SwanQueen for a long time but by the time I had the energy and time to write, I'd lost interest in the show. I might rewatch and come back to it one day...
I have thought about writing Wynonna Earp or Tamora Pierce universe fanfiction but have yet to get an idea that grabs me. I like to find things i want to fix and it's hard when the source material is perfection.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
The Parent Trap (305)
Sailor Moon H Order of the Phoenix (289)
Sailor Moon H Half Blood Prince (222)
Eden's Deception (167)
Out of Reach (150)
5. Do you respond to comments?
I try to! although if I'm busy or feeling down it can take me a while. Sometimes I forget.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I still think What Even is 3 Minutes takes the cake. Or I'll be Your First if You'll be my Last
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I Heard the Comm on Christmas Morn and Parent Trap
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Unfortunately I've gotten hate on fics since I started writing them... and it's become just something I expect to happen. Sometimes it's funny. Sometimes it confuses me. Sometimes it makes me sad. It really depends...
The memorable haters:
There was the delightful Fanfiction.net reviewer who got pissed i was "making everybody gay" (that was funny actually). I forget if they were the same person who flamed me when Mcgonagall and Hooch kissed under some mistletoe. I digress. They thought queering up the canon was like sinful or whatever. I was delighted to disagree and make the story even queerer.
Another person cussed me out for magically restraining Sailor Plutos time travel powers so my plot would work and for making her have feelings about it. aparently mad the senshi were not all powerful deus exmachinas who never feel feelings... That one stung. That was the reason I left FFN.
Hate because in Sailor Moon H, Harry Potter was not the main character.
Hate that I made a magic bio baby for the magical lesbians. (I can't have a biobaby with my wife irl, can't I at least let the fantasy girlies have one!)
Hate for including C/7 in a story
...I wouldn't call it hate for the fic but I have had an uncomfortable amount of commenters who hate on Chakotay any time I have him involved with Seven / don't have him grovel to Kathryn / really any time I let him advocate for how he's been hurt... at first comments like this stressed me out because i worried i had not written the character sufficiently sympathetic. But then Parent Trap breached containment and I got enough comments to be able to see I had definitely written the character fine... it was just that some people were always just rooting for a "Chakotay falls over himself to apologize to Janeway for not immediately dating her" storyline that... I'm not sorry 😅 I'm never going to write that. The older I get the more I feel like both of J/C just need therapy! They've been through so much trauma. Their feelings are valid (yes, even for other people).
Parent Trap breaching containment also meant that when I hit an irl rut and couldnt get in the writing headspace for a bit, a bunch of - sincerely, well meaning - fans got into their heads to start a commenting campaign to get me to update. I heard about it and panicked (i had bad experiences that year of getting people who only commented "update soon" and those conversely stressed me out and made me not want to write - I love fic writing for the conversations and community... so it made me feel like readers thought i was just a content vending machine). so just the thought of potentially getting an avalanche of guests, well meaning or not, begging me to update made me lock commenting until the fic was done. I wound up deciding after that that since "update soon" requests were becoming a lot more frequent that I'd consider before posting whether getting them would hurt my ability to finish. So most of the time now if I know a fic is going to reach a bigger potential community, I don't start posting it until it's almost done. That has had some upsides! (Im less dependent on positive feedback for motivation now!) and some downsides (no one comments on my fics with their theories anymore) but on a whole, a good decision.
Immediately after finishing Parent Trap I wrote Fever and got this amazing guest comment from someone who said (paraphrasing cuz i'm too busy to go find it) "Youre better than this. how dare you write this filth. J/C are better than this" that one had me laughing for days. But the comment did prompt me to create a second account later when I wrote a tentacle fic. At the time I worried i'd get a ton of similar flame comments from people who were subscribed to my main for other types of fic... but I am even feeling like that's unnecessary now. I write what I write! Yes, some of it is really dirty, weird smut. I'm not sorry.
Currently any time I post a Threshold AU fic an anon drops into my comments section in order to call me "Sick" and "Deranged"... they make me so sad I don't even make a quippy reply. I just delete them. I write that universe for my own wish fulfillment... Someday (soon, hopefully) I'm gonna have kids. And I am going to have to have conversations with them about who their biological dad is. Why they look like one mom and not the other, whether their non bio family love them even if theyre not blood related. I might have a kid who feels different from everyone else because they're queer or they're neurodivergent or they're some new alienating feeling I am totally unprepared for. and I'll need to help them navigate that.. Writing about hybrid salamander kids getting raised in a blended family is FUN. But more importantly... it helps me practice those situations. It comforts me to know that if the characters can figure this out in the AU then I can figure this out in real life! What the hell is sick and deranged about that!?
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I write all sorts of smut. I post the stuff that doesn't totally mortify me once i've gotten out of whatever mood had me writing the smut in the first place.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
I have exactly two crossovers to my name: Sailor Delta and Sailor Moon H. I think on the basis of word count alone Sailor Moon H (>500,000) is definitely the craziest.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
I consider the unlicensed use of the AO3 archive for ChatGPT and similar LLMs theft. (and there are several court cases pending that are also seeking to address whether it is legally theft as it pertains to published fiction and newspapers). The canon creators of the fandoms I write for aren't allowed to make money by using uncredited ideas pulled from my fanfiction (just like I am not allowed to make money from writing fic with their copyrighted settings and characters) and i continue to be apalled that ChatGPT and other LLMs think they can get away with using others copyrighted ideas without permission. Especially that they can take advantage of people who cant profit off their own work.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
No but i would be open to it!
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yes! Once with @magdalenejaneway, once with @jellybeansarecool and once with @trekflower and all three were fantastic!
Most of what I write for Threshold AU is also increasingly collaborated on a great deal by the AU creators and a few other folks. It's been going for over 2 years now and doing that more and more has enabled us all to drop more references to previous fics and to create a more cohesive body of fic for the AU. in general its just been so fun and fulfilling to make these stories with other people who are as invested in the characters as me and it just fills me with joy. I'm really grateful for you guys.
14. What’s your all time favorite ship?
On the one hand J/C have inspired over 50 fics, But on the other I have also been loving Sailor Moon and those ships since before I knew what fandom or shipping were. And really the only reason J/C inspire more fic is that all the sailor moon characters got a happy ending.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I never want to give up on a WIP...
but I am in knots about what all to do with Out of Reach.
Out of Reach is a St:Prodigy S1 AU where Chakotay has amnesia and doesn't remember anything from his time on Voyager, all the while he and Kathryn are in a situationship with a baby.
There's two questions I never figured out how to answer: 1. Does he get his memories back. If so, how much and what enables it. and 2: Do he and Kathryn stay together?
On the memories front. saying he never recovers seems unfair to the character. But saying he magically does thanks to 24th century science feels cheap and disrespectful - to the reality of real memory loss and to the plot that built up so much tension around this. Saying he gets back some or more over time is more realistic, but left me uncertain of where exactly to end the story. Tying his retrieval of memories to Kathryn also tied me up in knots. On the one hand they're in love and thats romantic. on the other hand the optics of his recovery totally dependent on one person is icky.
I also found the baby really annoying to have there by the end - I still think he's cuteeee i really do!!! - it's just... he makes the "we should stay together and try to figure this out" answer a bit too convenient 😅. and he complicates Kathryns reluctance to restart their relationship. The more she resists, the more callous she seems (deliberately not trying to patch things up with her kid's father) when i really just want to focus on her fears that Chakotay would be happier without her and that even if they restart their romance, she might lose him again on a future mission. It's ironic because i originally created the baby to ensure she wouldnt just run away from her fears. And now hes contributing to my difficulty ending the fic...
Actually the more I think on it, my real problem is I could write my way out of this, but I cant do it in only one or two chapters and that makes me feel tired. i was sorta hoping to wrap that fic up. 😅🙈
16. What are your writing strengths?
Imagery has always been a strength for me. But i think I'm also getting really good at action scenes too.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Oneshots.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
Only if it was information i wanted the reader to understand but not the POV character.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
W.I.T.C.H way back when I was 15.
20. Favorite fic you’ve written?
Universe to Mend - I even have a few sequel or companion novel ideas to come after it.
This has gone on a while... 😅 - thank you for tagging me and letting me ramble! i'll tag anyone else who wants to answer! have at it.

May or may not have been inspired to create the KNPS Toa in Hero Forge. Probably also gonna do the Turaga. I’m def curious as to your thoughts on everyone’s appearances, wanna see how what I have so far compares.
I am in TEARS please please please show me when you're done!!!
I've been kind of deliberately vague about their appearances in the fic itself because last time I wrote a big long human!Bionicle fic where I was more specific about their appearances I. wound up hating it later lol. I will say though that my Bionicle Sports Anime designs aren't necessarily what I have in mind when writing! (Those are mostly just for drawing Bionicle fanart without having to draw robots and possible eventual comic reasons.)
I do have some stuff in mind, though! I'm putting it under a readmore because it wound up getting fairly long lol
Tahu: redhead, toned and fairly beefy on account of the MMA but not like dehydrated about it, jeans, t-shirts, and button-downs with the sleeves rolled up kinda guy
Kopaka: my brother thinks he should be albino but I'm on the fence there, either way he does have blue eyes and light hair cut pretty short, glasses, tall and thin
Gali: petite, curly hair usually pulled back from her face, wears a lot of long, flowy clothes (cardigans, skirts, etc.)
Onua: short af, fat, muscular, hairy, I've made Gimli jokes before but I honestly do picture him looking like Senshi DungeonMeshi with less beard, almost exclusively wears black jeans, glasses are not prescription but to help with his light sensitivity
Pohatu: tall, runner's build (muscular legs, kind of average weight distribution tbh), thick brown hair that he's been growing out, tends towards muted colours and earth tones
Lewa: fucking beanpole, tall, thin, and gangly, hair is a bird's nest 99% of the time and he has given up trying, wears green almost to the complete exclusion of other colours, loves himself some good cargo pants
Vakama: glasses and tidy beard, greying hair, middling height, wears a lot of old man sweaters/cardigans
Nokama: taller than Matau but shorter than Vakama, hair is going grey but she dyes it, carries herself with grace and poise, it's. I do picture Lucretia Adventurezone a little bit while writing her ngl
Matau: short!!! absolute manlet and either mad about it or chill with it depending on which is funnier in context, wears loud shirts
Onewa: was not a cane user at the start of the story but is one now on account of his bad back, growing his beard out, worst case of resting bitch face you've ever seen, decently tall
Whenua: tallest Turaga, thick glasses, has worn a dress shirt and tie to work every day for the last 20+ years and isn't going to stop now even if his husband makes fun of him for it >:(
Nuju: average height, long fingers, went white by age 35 (claims it's from stress but it just runs in the family, Kualus was also fully white by 35 and Matoro probably will be too), dresses nicely but not a full shirt and tie like some people
Also you didn't mention them but bonus characters bc I've been thinking about them:
Takua: built like Lewa (tall and gangling), dyes his hair blue, fashion choices are "the colours gave me a headache so I bought it immediately"
Jaller: short king, blonde, probably the most athletic kid in the class
Hahli: shorter than Takua but still pretty tall, wears jeans and sturdy clothes, solidly built
Krahka: I mean sometimes she's a fox and sometimes she's got six arms and tits the size of her head, she can look however she wants
Again please please show me when you're done!!!! I would like to see it

For the writer ask thing, 5 and 15?
5. What’s a fic idea you’ve had that you will never write?
In miraculous, I wanted to write an Adrinette fic where the seat change in Chameleon stuck and Adrien and Marinette became close, writing each other notes and stuff, and coming up with silly ways to mock Lila. Together they kinda defang her without the whole exposure and revenge bits, but it never turned into anything beyond that so it never went anyway. And now, I don't think I would even try given that most everything connected with Chameleon is salty as hell and I just don't jive with any of it.
Most of my truly truly abandoned ideas are from old fandoms. I had a novelization of Chrono Trigger that I got about a third of the way through, and I had two more ideas for multichapters in Sailor Moon. One of them was a senshi/shitennou story about Venus/Kunzite that took place in the same universe as my Ami/Zoi fic, Invisible Wounds. In it Mina started dating a guy she THOUGHT was the reincarnated Kunzite, but is actually Ace. And he's super controlling and it's not great and she keeps trying to convince herself it's not that bad - he's like her soulmate and stuff so it has to work, right?! Anyway, eventually she decides it doesn't matter if he's her soulmate if this is what that means, she breaks free, but there's a super dark scene where Ace kills himself in front of her hoping it will haunt her forever - trying to continue his control/abuse. Meanwhile Kunzite, is actually there as her bodyguard. I don't think I wrote a scene in his perspective until the end, but I don't remember. I was trying really hard to make people THINK that Ace was Kunzite and that the body guard was just my own OC in the background as someone Mina liked to ramble at. Haha! Anyway, I think it was an ambitious project and I kinda fell out of the fandom around that time, so I never really wanted to bite if off.
15. How do you come up with titles for your fics/chapters?
I have no idea. I tend to keep my titles pretty simple. I like them to identify the central theme of the fic.
Chapter titles are especially hard for me and I tried not naming chapters for awhile, but then when I go back I'd have a hard time finding scenes. So now, I tend to just not stress about it and give it a title that's enough to remember what's in the chapter for me. I don't often read chapter titles myself, and maybe am mistakenly assuming that others don't either.

So... I wrote a fic about Jujutsu Kaisen. Cause I refuse to believe canon. Anyway, here it is. (spoilers for Shibuya arc and a lil bit for the Culling Games arc) (briefly, it will be available in Ao3. probably) (sorry for bad english and probable inaccuracy with canon) (imma call this the shape of two souls)
Mahito laughs as he sees Yuji Itadori pass out in front of his friend's body. Maybe it was the shock for seeing her almost dead or some wound from a previous battle, but it doesn't matter. He approaches the boy.
It would be so, so easy to kill him now. But... where would be the funny part?
He starts dragging away the bodies of that girl and the sorcerer. He is sure he didn't kill them, as he wanted to play a little more with the two of them, thinking of how he could corrupt and break Itadori through them. Furthermore, Mahito also wanted to test something.
_
When Yuji wakes up, he is at the infirmary of Jujutsu High. His memory is blurry and he asks Megumi, who is right by his side:
"What happened?"
He receives the most painful look he's seen Megumi give.
Then, he starts crying. He is hugged by his boyfriend as he feels his tears fall over his own low head.
_
"Oh? You are alive?" Kenjaku says, slightly tilting his head, the same fake smile as always decorating their face.
"Yes, I am" Mahito laughs. "You thought everyone would die, am I right? Well, I stayed alive."
"I see... just to be clear, I will not kill you, but there isn't anything anymore that can stop me from doing it now."
"Ah, it's alright! I just wanted to pass here a little bit!" he smiles. "Also, I'm really having very few free time now. I've been spending the last 2 days aprimorating my masterpieces!"
"Masterpieces?"
"Yes, someday, you will see them! Anyway, it was a pleasure to see you, Geto-kun! I hope we don't find each other in battle again!" and he goes away.
_
She feels a grand nothing. There is pain bursting out of her left eye. The righ one is open and contemplates what's above her, but she can't comprehend. How did she end up there? Who... who is she?
There is someone standing by her side, but the girl can't see exactly its form. It's blurry and blue. The strange thing laughs.
"Amazing... changing the shape of the soul, I change the mind too! The two can't remember a thing!" she doesn't understand what it means by that, but feels something brushing her cheek. Her eye hurts more. "This will be perfect..."
Then, something changes in her body, and she feels pain followed by, again, a nothing.
_
"Wait, the fuck?! The school is being attacked?! Now?!" Megumi exclaims, standing up. He groans a little with the pain, but doesn't care. Right after him, Yuji stands up. Maybe both needed to de-stress in some punching bag after the worst week of their lives.
"Lets go" Yuji murmurs. Megumi looks at him, worried. That's because the shine seems to have left his eyes, since the death and vanishing of the bodies of Nobara and Nanami.
That bastard didn't even let them bury them.
_
Hime observs the place with her only eye. She's forgotten it's name, but it's something with jujutsu, whatever this may be. No that she cares, anyway. If Kami-sama ordered her to do something, she will do it. After all, for what else does she exist?
She looks at Senshi. He, just as her, watches the place. He speaks, with a lot of struggle, as his form makes it hard for him to do it (differently from Hime, who can barely make noises):
"Kami-sama... said... Senshi... protect... Hime..." he looks at her. "Hime... stay... away from... juj..." suddenly, he stops, the needles being stuck in his neck, his face going back to the same neutral expression as always.
The needles are there to keep them as Kami-sama wants, his perfect masterpieces. Always they start failing, the needles make them float, float, float.
Hime looks down. She gets one of her nails, as Senshi wields his blade. In case one of them breaks during the mission, they just need to go back to Kami-sama and he'll fix them. She remembers his orders: to kill anyone they find. They will do it.
_
Yuji runs to the school's door desperatly fast. He wants something, anything, to discount his feelings on. To try to choke the memories that have been coming back and back on the last week. To not remember, once again, his failure in protecting people he loved so much.
He sees two figures walking at distance. With his fist raised, he goes, letting all of his negative feelings turn into rough cursed energy, when, suddenly, he stops, his shoes making noise with the sudden friction.
The same lips. The same nose. The same hair. The same eyes. The same faces.
"Na... nami-sensei? Nobara?" his voice shakes.
His dead sister and sensei are in front of him, alive. And they are wrong.
Nobara has a rose emerging from her left eye, a pattern similar to black roots covering practically all of the left side of her body and her right arm has been elongated in a way it seems like an insect leg touching the ground. Nanami has burned skin over his jaw, blue skin graft covering the carbonized part of his body, one of his eyes is totally red and one of his arms has been replaced with a blade similar to the one he used. Both have such a pale skin they seem to be dead, are practically naked except for some kind of second skin sewed over the private parts, there's a circle of black needles behind their necks and their eyes are as hollow as a pit.
When they listen to their own names, there is no reaction other than Nobara leaning slightly her head and Nanami narrowing his eyes. Then, she takes a nail out of the rose and he attacks.
_
Hime feels... confused. It's different from the nothing she's used to. She feels like that because the boy they just encountered simply doesn't attack, just deffends himself. Even though Senshi goes on with no sign of mercy, the pink haired one just protects himself. What names were those he said? And, for some reason, he's... crying? Maybe, because he's scared of dying and is too afraid to retaliate? The thought of killing someone as coward makes Hime smile. Then, she feels the needles piercing her neck and starts floating. With difficulty, she focuses only one thing: wait for Senshi to take off a piece of the boy so she can eliminate him.
_
Senshi attacks, attacks and attacks. The pink haired boy is crying, but he couldn't care less. The only strange thing is the boy defends himself without attacking, speaks to him as they knew each other and calls him by a strange name that isn't his, "Nanami". He tries to ignore, but there's a strange feeling in his head, and, because of that, a needle pierces his neck. With that, Senshi foccuses again in killing the boy or at least taking a piece of him so Hime can kill him.
However, suddenly, a dog-shaped shikigami appears and attacks Hime. Immediately, his eyes go towards her, who, fallen on the ground, makes a sound similar to pain. Senshi remembers the same instant what Kami-sama said
"If one of you breaks, come back and I'll fix you"
Kami-sama is so good to them.
Senshi stops fighting and runs towards Hime. With a blow, he throws the shikigami away and takes her in his arms, running away.
A part of him says he must protect her because she is smaller than him. Then, other needle is pinched into his neck and he continues to run.
_
Megumi can hear the fight before he arrives to the place and sees the enemies, then, he invokes the shikigami and tells it to run and attack. He enters the glade and his face gets contorted with horror.
It's Nobara and Nanami, and, at the same time, it's not. They have an appearance similar to those of curses and Nanami is fighting Yuji. The divine dog attacks Nobara and, for a second, Megumi asks himself what to do, when Nanami stops fighting, strikes the shikigami, takes the girl in his arms and runs away.
How is this possible?! How?! Yuji saw the two of them die to...
To a special grade curse that changes the soul shape.
He turns to Yuji, worried. He doesn't seem to have a lot of wounds, which is good, but his eyes are something terrible Megumi's never seen before. At the same time they are empty, they are also fulfilled with pure sadness. He looks at Megumi and, just as he did many times during this week, starts crying. Megumi barely feels the tears itching his eyes and threatening to overflow when he helps him to get up.
(if I get, like, one heart with this I'll continue. Actually, I already got the whole story written and will continue anyway, but some motivation would be nice)

Usagi from Sailor Moon
do I like them:
I love Usagi so much. She’s my spirit animal.
5 good qualities:
1) She will always do the right thing to defend the earth because at her heart she is a hero who fights for justice.
2) Very supportive and accepting to her friends. The R movie almost made me cry because the audience realizes just how alone the Inner Senshi were before Usagi came into their lives.
3) I respect her pacifistic nature. She really does have a big heart and I appreciate her not wanting anyone to die, especially if it’s for her sake.
4) So you know that episode in R where that monster tried to feed into Usagi’s insecurities so she can turn on her friends? You know how she beat it? By just saying, “Yeah I know I suck, people tell me that every day, so what?” Like...that’s kind of sad but also holy shit give me this girl’s optimism and confidence.
5) Her transformations are kickass
3 bad qualities:
1) Despite her kindness and big heart, Usagi can be pretty selfish. Her priorities are very skewed.
2) The emphasis on her being a terrible student who always gets bad grades and is constantly late stresses me out. Usagi...Usagi please pay attention to your studies you do not want to be kicked out of school lmaooo
3) This might be unfair because I honestly can’t think of anything else lmao but I think she’s a little too hung up on the romance part of her life. I know she’s 14 and wants an epic romance but...girl c’mon your 14! Chiiiiiiiil!
favourite episode/etc:
I have a lot of favorite Usagi moments, but the final battle against Beryl is always a favorite.
Usagi in the first season is portrayed as a crybaby who never wants to fight and would rather romance some stranger in a tuxedo than care about being a reincarnated princess with a duty to protect the world. But when she witnesses firsthand the death of all her friends plus the man she loves and is faced with the end of the world, she just marches up to Beryl, whips out her cute pink moon wand, and SLAAAAAAAAAYS. Because that’s who Usagi is. When things get tough, so does she.
otp:
Usagi x Mamoru because I’m basic as hell and it was one of my first ships so I’m kinda attached (though I would retool Mamoru’s character a bit though)
brotp:
Usagi and the Inner Senshi
Usagi and Naru
ot3:
None
notp:
No offense to people who do ship them but I hate Usagi x Haruka and Usagi x Seiya
best quote:
Usagi has the best lines. I can’t name them all, so here is one I think about every gosh dang day:
“Just one more good cry! *sobs* Okay I’m ready!”
head canon:
In-universe HC: Usagi hates being called Bunhead because that’s what a bunch of mean kids in elementary school called her. She immediately tells Mamoru that the nickname is not cute to her at all and it brings back bad memories, so that’s why he never calls her that again.
Modern AU HC because I can: Usagi is a popular gamer and streamer. Her channel is called BunnyMoonGaming.

Taiyuu Round 3
@taiyuu-high-oct
Hiraku sighed as he trudged along the tunnel. This day was just... the worst. First he got his arm dislocated in the training match, which he didn't really blame Ningyo-kun for but it was still annoying even though he treated it and later got Arakan-kun to use his healing Quirk on it. Then a certain idiot who shall not be named Takakutou destroyed an entire fucking building, which sent up a giant cloud of dust over the entire sundown zone. Surprisingly enough, having a Quirk that involves breathing through your entire body makes getting engulfed in a giant dust cloud rather annoying. And then villains attacked, which was not fun. So he had had to make sure his classmates got to the tunnel that leads to the mainland in one piece, which was stressful. And then once everyone was safely in the tunnels he'd had to tend to several wounded. Senshi had glass in their sides, Hiyasu-kun had mild hypothermia, Sugiyama-kun had a broken arm, Tokachi-kun had a concussion, and that wasn't even all of it. Hiraku made a note to himself that when this whole thing was over he needed to make a presentation or something on Not Injuring Your Fellow Students in Training Exercises and go over it with the entire school until the message stuck.
The walk in the tunnel was... long. Nobody died, though Masaki-kun and Spellman-kun both gave them all a scare at one point due to their Quirk drawbacks. A few hours later they finally got to the end of the tunnel, where there was a bus waiting for them. Hiraku tried to calm everyone's nerves, but he didn't know how good of a job he did...
Eventually they stopped in front of a very familiar-looking building. "IS THAT UA!?" most of Taiyuu shouted at once.
Hiraku sighed. "This is gonna be fun..." He muttered sarcastically.
Tokei-kun raised an eyebrow at him. "Are you okay?" they asked, sounding a little tired.
Hiraku shrugged. "My cousin goes here. She's not... bad or anything, but she can be a little overbearing sometimes. And considering what just happened..." They winced. "Yeah..."
They filed out of the bus and were greeted by Laccadaisy and UA's principal, Aizawa. "We've set up a dorm for your use while you're here," Aizawa explained to the students. "Please make yourselves at home. You've clearly had a long day, so get some rest."
"Alright, Taiyuu students!" Laccadaisy shouted. "Follow me to the dorms!"
While they followed Laccadaisy, Aizawa pulled a few students aside to tell them something silently. After a few students he put his hand on Hiraku's shoulder. "Your cousin's looking for you," he muttered. "She's been worried all day."
Hiraku nodded. "I figured. She's gonna ambush me by the dorm isn't she."
He patted him on the back. "Yup. Good luck, kid."
o.o.o
Even though Hiraku had braced himself, he was still startled when Kokoro lifted him off his feet and swung him around like a doll. "Hiraku, we were all so worried about you!" she shouted in Maori.
"Please put me down," Hiraku told her, also in Maori.
"No."
Hiraku sighed and looked around. His classmates looked a little concerned that a giant girl had picked him up and started squeezing him while speaking in a language that they'd probably never heard before. He saw that Yukino-kun was also getting accosted by two girls. He nodded at her and she nodded back. "Right, this is my cousin, Kokoro," Hiraku said to his classmates as he tried to squirm out of his cousin's iron grip. "Sorry if she startled you."
"Sup," she said as she put Hiraku down. "Name's Inoue Kokoro. You guys can call me Kokoro." She started resting her elbow on Hiraku's head like he was an armrest. "Anyway, Imma steal your classmate for a bit."
"Wait, what?" Hiraku managed to get out before he was picked up again and slung over Kokoro's shoulder. "Hey! Put me down!"
She laughed. "No can do. I don't know what you did with your phone, but both your mothers have been calling me on and off for the entire day. Now it's your turn."
"I left my phone in the changing room because I didn't think the school would get attacked," he replied. "I only just managed to get the first-aid kit, I wasn't going to go back for my phone!"
"You can borrow mine."
Hiraku sighed, consigned to his fate.
o.o.o
One day and about fifty phone calls from concerned mothers later, Hiraku was in Gym Gamma wearing lime green tie-dye hero costume. It was really breathable, which is a great thing when your Quirk involves the ability to breathe through any part of your body. Plus the costume was supposed to filter out dust and other airborne particles, like a facemask. It seemed Laccadaisy had grabbed everyone's prototype hero costumes after she was done with the villains, and UA's support department had put the finishing touches on them overnight. Meaning that to distract everyone from the fact that Taiyuu was attacked, Laccadaisy had decided to have the students test out their new costumes in one-on-one spars.
Hiraku cracked his knuckles as he stared down Suzuki-kun, his opponent. She was wearing a weird dress that reminded Hiraku of a clown. "You know, usually I'm not all that enthusiastic about the idea of fighting with my classmates," Hiraku admitted.
"Oh?" Suzuki-kun said.
A hissing noise spread across Hiraku's body as he filled up his lungs. "But the past day has been a little stressful, so you'll have to forgive me if I enjoy this a little."
She smiled eerily. "You're assuming you'll be able to even touch me."
"Start!" Laccadaisy ordered.

OK, I need something to take my mind off of the horribleness of my job, so here’s some rambling thoughts inspired by @guidedbyanewpodcast ‘s 2nd Apocalypse Special.  But rather than thinking about which Senshi I would most like to quarantine with during this COVID-19 pandemic (heck if I know what that’s like anyway as I can’t do it), I will instead ramble on about how I think they’d do if they had to stay in.  There is a caveat with this though, as this will be assuming they are in their actual homes, and with their families (assuming they have them) (Sorry, Mako).
Usagi – at first she’s thrilled to be out of school.  But then reality sets in.  She’s still expected to study, but now her mom is in charge of making sure she learns. And her mom is there to nag her about it all the time.  There is no escape.  And she’s frustrated that Ikuko isn’t giving Shingo nearly as hard a time about this (because he actually does the work, but that’s besides the point in Usagi’s mind).  Plus even at night when alone in her room she’s going to have Luna to nag her too.  Besides that it does not take Usagi long to start missing her friends.  A lot. She goes stir crazy nearly immediately, and this drives all others up the wall, making moods around the house much worse than they’d normally be.  And the real kicker to all of this?  Her dad is still going out.  He’s apparently a press photographer (That’s why he was at the ball for the Princess of the D Kingdom, right?  Going off memory here), and people still want news and photos for the news.  He still has to work, so it’s not even a particularly effective quarantine for their family.  Still, he’s at least going to be following some precautions so it’s not as bad as it could be.
Chance of Infection: medium  Ability to Cope: low
Ami – Ami is very studious and serious, and with her mother’s profession she will likely be taking this seriously too.  Now I can believe that Ami can entertain herself, and while she would rather be with her friends she isn’t going to go crazy… from that.  There is a problem though in how she’s in the best position of the Senshi to realize how bad this could be, and that could potentially cause her quite a bit of stress.  Especially with her mother being a doctor.  There’s no way Ms. Mizuno is going to be able to avoid being exposed to COVID-19.  Which raises the question of how they would cope with that.  I could easily see Ami wanting to find some way she could help out, arguing that with her mother’s profession they’re probably both going to get it anyway. So now I have to wonder, how young are hospital volunteers allowed to be, or would she find some other way to try and help out?
Chance of Infection: high  Ability to Cope: medium
Rei – Rei will also take this seriously.  She will be sure to make sure everybody else is taking it seriously.  After all her grandpa is on the line here!  She will most definitely manage to get her hands on an extra-long broom to make sure that people, especially Usagi, stay away without having to get close to them.  She’s also the one Usagi is going to call up the most often, and in so doing drive her nuts. Still, when that isn’t happening she’s got enough music, books, and chores around the shrine to keep herself occupied, not to mention that all of her training with meditation is really going to come in handy.  And she’ll probably relax a bit when she manages to talk the crows into acting as a proximity alarm so she doesn’t have to employ CONSTANT VIGILANCE.
Chance of Infection: low  Ability to Cope: high
Makoto – Oh, I feel sorry for Makoto.  Unlike the others (besides Mamoru if you count him) she’s not going to have anybody to shelter with.  And you don’t know how mad isolation can drive you until it is complete.  Mako might tell herself she’s doing what she’s supposed to, but after a while she’s going to find excuses to head to the store for just one or two more things she “accidentally forgot” during one of her main shopping trips. Find herself taking scenic routes that are technically still a way to get to where she needs to go when she has to go out.  She won’t outright break quarantine… but she will come awfully close to that line a few times.
Chance of Infection: medium  Ability to Cope: low
Minako – Now Minako has people that she can shelter with.  But the problem there is… she really doesn’t like her mom.  And with her dad stuck at home there’s greater chances of arguments between the two breaking out.  That house is going to be a mess.  So like Makoto Minako is going to try to find ways out.  Unlike Makoto she will outright just break quarantine. Still, she might find ways of justifying it.  Dust off the old Sailor V costume and go crimefighting for example.  Don’t nag her about this Artemis, she’s providing a valuable community service!  Besides, she’s a superhero, it’s not like superheroes can get sick while transformed, right?
Chance of Infection: high  Ability to Cope: low
Chibi-Usa – Funny that, she doesn’t show up to visit while this is going on.  Strangest thing.
Chance of Infection: N/A  Ability to Cope: N/A
The Outers – Why am I grouping them together like this?  Well, remember what I said about sheltering with family?  Where there you go, they’re all in the same house anyway. And they… are most definitely making it through this fine as Setsuna is going to casually bring home some vaccine injections that haven’t quite been invented yet shortly before this thing gets off the ground, and the others will quickly realize this is one of those things you don’t ask about.  But with actual infection off the table they won’t find things stressful, just a bit dull. Haruka won’t be happy about not being able to go out for pleasure drives, but she can still busy herself with making sure Hotaru has a playmate and gets exercise, Michiru can likewise busy herself by taking on a teacher role, and Setsuna… look, if anybody is able to handle being in one place for a long time with nothing to do, I think it’d be Pluto.  That’s kinda her job description.
Chance of Infection: zero  Ability to Cope: high

Taiyuu spar: Moya vs Yuu
Taiyuu- @taiyuu-high-oct Nanako Yuu- @artibun Kemuri Moya- me   There was huffing, the cold but airy dust had now paved away. Slowly revealing the result. A man loomed over someone else, bamboo-like stick in hand. His brows were furrowed, but not in a bad way. Instead, it was the worrying kind that was on his expression. The middle of the arena was frozen, as the air chilled to such an extent you could see your breath pretty clearly as you exhaled. In the long, but thin chilling silence that followed after Senshi Yasashii and Hiyasu Shimokizu’s fight, a loud, but distant clapping can be heard. It came from one of the two taiyuu teachers who had watched and spectated this fight.
“Ooho man!~ What~ a~ fight!! You both did very well, no matter who came out triumphant!” Exclaimed the 1-A teacher, the hero Aurora, was ecstatic with how this spar had been, watching it was like you were on a roller coaster! It was said the same with the other battles so far. As they had both been unexpected. These students were full of surprises! Though her student had lost, the many paths paved for potential, and growth was there. She gave a bitter smile as Shimokizu had lost the round, despite the powerful quirk usage.
Another voice joined in, coming from the 7ft tall hero, Wolfsboon. The 1-B teacher of taiyuu, the enemy of 1-A’s teacher. Crossing his arms, he talked. “Hmph. Honestly, 1-B gained a winning victory, was both unexpected and quite up to par.” Solemnly stated the monotone but serious Wolfsboon. During the spar, he was surprised again and again. He had seen quite the potential out of the quirkless student, Yasashii, in this match. “It seems the principle found quite the unexpected but skillful student. Weak in natural power, but does make up for it in skill. How prosperous.” He commented with a small smile as Yasashii helped Shimozuki up from her icy collapsed position. Both shook hands, bowing to each other, making small talk, and going their separate ways. The duo exited the boxy but greyed arena.
During that fight, both enemy and frenemy students had cheered the two on. Making critique comments on the two sparrers. Also throwing insults and comments at one another in the spectating border. Especially 1-B’ exemplary student: Ozen Fujinuma and 1-A’ boisterous student: Takakutou Shakou. The two had clashed head-to-head on a one on one battle of words! Yo mama jokes and nasty insults that brought up the weaknesses of some students when they each had their spar. But for now, it was a tie. For now…
As the two went opposite ways their classmates both congratulated and commented on the fight. Some were good, some were critiques on the fight. One student, Tokachi Ameko, had gotten the task of bringing Shimozuki to the nurse’s office. Senshi had volunteered to help as he was responsible for the gal’ over usage of her quirk. Making her body’s temperature drop. She was chilled, freezing, almost cold to the touch. But, both students of opposite classes did agree the whole thing was unexpected, the hype during the battle was like a rollercoaster ride. Though loud clap was heard as it quieted down the chatter. “M’kay! Now remember kiddos, this is a spar. We’re not here to kill each other! But do keep up the spunk you little rascals!” Aurora stated happily and loudly. Though the spars are coming to an end, the two teachers now know what’s needed to be done!
Help identify and point out the student’ weaknesses, have them come up with ways to get rid of those weaknesses. They would exert the growth and development of these guys, making them fine heros. “Hmm~ now this is quite the revelation! Next up is: Moya Kemuri and Nanako Yuu.” Exclaimed the feisty Aurora. Meanwhile, Wolfsboon furrowed and twitched a brow, giving a frown. Moya, that cloud kid who always slept in class. It didn’t bother him much, except for the fact the kid was tired all the time that it was unpleasant. He’s spotted moya sleeping outside, always on a cloud, every damn time. I mean if he was that tired then why bother coming to class? Though teaching was unpleasant, at least stay up for it if you were to waste his time. He gave a silent huff as he folded his arms once again, dipping his head backward, facing the clear blue sky. “Let's see if the sleeping kid has the potential per the same as the others” he stated in a serious but quiet tone.
Meanwhile, in the 1-B spectator area, was Moya Kemuri himself. And boy, was his expression stressed! Anxiety was lingering in his eyes as he was daunting over the fact he might disappoint his classmates! I mean c’ mon-! This was his first fight after all! And on the first day of school as well? It made his pull at his bushy ponytail.. he could feel his anxiety in the pit of the stomach. During Senshi and Shimozuki’s spar, Moya was quiet and didn’t join the others in talking much. But his eyes were sparkling, a starry gaze as how cool Senshi was when they fought to win. Gakusa’ was second because of that unexpected encyclopedia. He did, however, worry for Shimozuki because man- she looked like she would die from making the air too cold. Her skin turning pale with bits of ice stuck onto it, small shivers worsened the more she fought with her quirk.
Now his name being called made him jolt, flinch even. As his thought process snapped. Eyes were on him now- and damn sure he isn’t ready for them to be. As chatter from earlier quieted down. The clouds on his head were turning into a mixed gradient of dark gray black and light blue. He had always worn a cloth masked over his mouth and nose. Not because he has something to hide oh no- mainly because his stress makes him hyperventilate. Others beforehand had commented on the hyperventilation as ‘rude’ ‘weird’ and a ‘what’s your deal?’ for a variety of reasons. Others had just shifted away from him and gave him looks. So to hide it, he covers it up. Everything went better after that, so now he’ll just cover it up. He stepped onto the arena, stairs were there to get up on it. Think of it as a wrestling arena type of thing. He looked around, still worrisome, as his opponent, Nanako, had climbed up on stage.
He raised an eyebrow at the gold-colored wings. Oh, those were quite pretty! Though it seems Yuu was making a firm and determined facial expression. A stubborn one looking ready to fight like it’s her last breath. However, Moya just wore a shocked and distressed expression. He did not want this fight to go on- so he furrowed his brows. He set his sights on being determined to end this the moment the fight started. M’kay! Now as always start the battle on the count of three!~” shouted the ecstatic aurora. “1!~” Moya was readying himself, calming his nerves as his clouds had turned a shade of yellow-orange.
The 1-B students were packed with tension. Not many of them even knew Moya pretty well, better yet know who he even is. So all they can do is, see who’s going to win. Of course, throw insults at the enemy class during this fight. “2!~” Nanako still had that determined expression, as she stared down her tall opponent, moya. A slick drop of sweat dripped down from her right cheek. As she too, was readying herself for this fight and ongoing tension. “3~ -!!!”Aurora didn’t even get to finish the sentence as Moya had already initiated this fight. He had made a quick but airy stance as he clenched the air around his hand. Making the veins of his open hand pop out if you look closely and arch his fingers. Two thick greyed but dulled and charred clouds came from his arm. They were jolting and packed with bold yellow electricity! Flickering here and there you can barely see it as you blink. As it was summoned from Moya's forearm, it connected with h. Resulting in it going straight for Nanako’s neck. As it was about to close in on Nanako's face, she jumped. Her reflexes getting the better of her as she bolted up and off the ground. She only moved by instinct, seeing the cloud at the last minute. Her face was pale. 'I didn't even see that!' she thought, panic binding her facial expression as her brows furrowed. Currently, she was but a few feet up into the air. And it was quite true, the fast and furious cloud was all but a deep black blur to the spectators.  The spectating students let out gasps, some cooed in amazement, some thought it was quite the surprise.
As she flew Nanako was thinking of a plan, anything. Should she retaliate and edge on Moya in fighting more? No no. He's a fellow student of Taiyuu,... and she'd probably have a guilty conscience of doing it to this guy. So she decided on dodging. Up until she can find the right time to strike. So in the midst of it, she was chased around by the two clouds of bolted lightning. Making her lose stamina, so after ten minutes of this awful chase, she stopped. Flying up at the fastest, remaining speed she could muster. The clouds followed of course, but Nanako did a short spin- stopping her flight and letting herself drop. Having a leg positioned to the ground, as she fell through the two clouds. Both dissipitated, mainly because they kept on going upward, Moya didn't react in time to stop and move them. But as she fell Moya clicked his tongue, snapping his fingers and muttering a 'sorry.' As the seemingly-dissipated clouds reconnected with each other. Their splotches of fluffs going back to form, smashing against each other from behind Nanako. The Nanako who was trying to stop her gravitating fall... Utterly striking one of the wings, the top half at least. Yuu then let out a quick but loud shriek. as she stopped her movements and grabbed the cut wing. She felt like she had been struck by a large pin of lightning! So she stopped all movement focusing on the wing.
This resulted in Nanako falling to the ground before she fell she was near Kemori and upon falling she managed to grip her body's direction. Which was, afoot to kick moya in the face with. I mean her body was going haywire- in the air at least. She tried to flap and move it but without the other end, she moved in a diagonal direction. Because you know what? She didn't want to go down without a fight.  So she's decided to kick moya in the face and, he was in a daze from exhaustion. So when he saw her foot inches from his face he just stood there in motion, letting himself roll back and crash. And this made Nanako go "Eh!?" Comments of how this was ...an odd thing to happen. With the 2B Ozen commenting on how slow the guy's reaction was. Sure he's got a good amount of power, but it drains his energy and hinders his reaction. A thing hero's needed. Another thing that the cloud kid needed to work on, it was troublesome. Even Wolfhard was stunned...
But as Moya laid there another odd thing happened. The ground reverberated, as moya's seemingly unconscious body started to hyperventilate. He was shivering- his whole body was. As his pupils were going up and down, in and out. He was blinking in and out of consciousness. Eyes were white, he started breathing more rapidly convulsing even, as the clouds on his head disappeared. a flashback appeared. This made Nanako panic even more- oh god- she didn't think this guy would have such spasms after getting kicked in the face.
Smiling faces. the two older brothers and his twin, Kanato. But Kanato looked like Lin- It went black. It was like watching a movie- a dream of some sort. As he turned to his left. Confused and wide-eyed, he saw the twins as children. He was standing in front of a short but white-greyed playground brick wall. Plants behind him and such as he was battered and bruised. moya squinted as he was making a worrisome face. He couldn't see this scene very well- it was blurry. He pondered and wore a nervous smile. As he started running he slowly came to a stop. His whole expression dropped, he looked like he was seeing something unbelievable. Younge Moya was- suffocating three others. It was a flashback on the entrance exam- but a continuation of it. It was where the young moya was wearing a darkened expression as it looked down on the three who were starting to choke and gag. Suffocation at its finest as there was a ring or large clouds around them. Parents trying to break in, the children clawing the clouds to get out. With a young Lin, collapsed on the ground behind the younger moya. A bright red handprint and some dirt on the kid. It seems the younger moya had seen his twin gets hurt.
But now the kids in those kids' faces were turning purple. A wave of panic hit as he ran over to the kids wide-eyed. Moya was all shakey, anxiety was found on his expression as he entered the scene. touching the clouds as one obeyed and vanished. The kid collapsed completely, passing out. But as he was reaching for the other cloud, the small Moya had appeared in front of his face. Everything had gone black, the younger version had an explicted face that was covered in a seemingly black bundle of doodles. It tilted its head at him. Moya was going to question the smaller one when all of a sudden he was tackled by hands? He panicked more as he was being dragged, halfway as he grabbed ahold of the floor. Positioning himself as he leaned forward, an arm down and hand near it. Grabbing the floor. Everything had turned dark, the younger moya slowly turning his attention to the older, present one. The younger one leaned in but...present Moya couldn't see the exact facial expression from the mouth. He did freeze in place. Moya made a desperate face and frown, as the younger one cracked a devilish and sinister smile behind that bundle. He stopped, his desperate expression worsening to fear as childish laughter chimed in. The younger one stopped. Approaching and setting a foot onto Moya's forehead, swiftly pushed Moya into the hole as everything blackened. He felt fear, a terrible one. As he started to go deeper and deeper...thoughts, words, phrases, from Lin came in. A desperate attempt at hope? Maybe. He didn't know as he kept falling and falling, deeper and deeper into the hole.
Nanako had backed away since the more or so subconscious moya started hyperventilating more, along with the fact the ground was shaking. She then winced in pain, clicking her tongue and biting her lip. One of her wings were cut and damaged! Making her remember those terrible, terrible flashbacks on when her wings were cut and ripped off as she blacked in and out. She bent over as she stood and gripped her head. Man these, hurt, painful too. Her being held harshly and restrained- to tear off the dazzling golden wings.  She subconsciously backed away, an eyebrowed raised and she held her arm out to act as a shield if anything fatal happened. She was in a defensive stance, but moya then stopped convulsing. She still gripped her head but hesitantly lowered her arms to a slight degree. She was starting to worry about the man, maybe she should see if he's ok... I mean this was a spar, and because of the guy's reaction, she thought she broke something...Nanako was going to check up on the cloud kid, she even started to hesitantly approach him. ..But all of a sudden clouds of all kinds filled the arena. Surrounding the butterfly-quirk user as clouds of lightning, gas, acid rain, storm, etc filled up and kept on filling up. Some merged when they touched, but the result was quite a large multicolored and sickly looking cloud.
Taking up space as much as the arena itself. "What the-!!" Nanako yelled before they all attacked at the same time. Students in the spectating ring braced themselves for the impact, but then a loud voice cut in. Making everyone stop, even the cloud itself. "Nanako Yuu is immobilized! The winner is Kemuri Moya!!" Aurora stated as she cut the eery silence. The cloud stopped, and as it stopped it started to evaporate. At the end of the dust-like evaporation, Moya was there. Standing in the same spot he was kicked into and convulsed in.  It put Nanako in a daze, furrowing her eyebrows, before snapping out of the minute-long daze she panicked while giving a smile that seemed to be confused as what had just happened. What caused Moya to stand back up though? Her martial arts skills surely hit him, he even fell at the kick she gave when she couldn't keep herself in the air.
"Wh- what-... Is there something wrong?? Did I do something wrong??" Stated the still full of spirit and confused, Nanako. A drop of sweat was located on her right cheek. She had been trying to push the idea of the pain coming from the half ripped wing.
"No No. there is nothing wrong. It's just that with your wings being cut, and Kemuri' clouds surrounding you, both equal to being immobilized." Wolfhard stepped in and talked in a stern voice as he approached the two. He wore a frown. His eyes were arched and narrowing at Nanako. Her the top left wing was completely torn off, a messy rip though... He then turned at the conscious but confused moya.  "...Kemuri. Go take Nanako to the infirmary to see the nurse." He stated clearly, though passing by the furrowed and concerned moya. He stated something else, quietly and with a low growl. "Take better care of your control. Otherwise, we'd have to restrain and treat you as a villain. You did in fact, almost kill a fellow student with that mystery power box of a quirk." He stated quietly, whereas only moya could hear. There was a disappointment and a serious but angry tone to his voice. Moya could hear it, as he too- was disappointed in himself.  It seems all those clouds had merged collectively, forming a hideous black bolted cloud, but stopped once Moya woke up from Aurora announcing him the winner.
He bit his tongue as he looked down. "...Yes sir." He replied sadness was in his tone as he looked over at Nanako. She was in confusion, as she tempted to make her way to the nurse's office herself. Stumbling in the process, before moya summoned a cloud under her to catch the fall. Seems that the damage from the wing was recuperating to her head. Making her feel lightheaded, looks like she pushed off the pain. Making Moya concerned, but didn't say anything as the two made their way to the nurses' office.

Myu review 7: 1997 Eien Densetsu
.
.
Before continuing further, I’d just like to mention this. This review is purely based off of my personal opinion. I personally am not that fond of SenShi and since this Myu contains that ship, my comments/views differ from the majority, which is okay! Whether we agree or disagree, let’s keep the discussion civil and let’s also respect each other! Thank you and enjoy this (long) review!
.
First impression: I was actually pretty excited for this Myu!! With Stars K being so amazing and this being the second to the last Myu of the First Stage, I really expected a lot!
Impressions: Actors/Actresses
Anza Ooyama (Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon)- OH YES QUEEN ANZA!! She was so good in this, it’s like she saved the Myu. I really liked how she portrayed Usagi in this Myu. Sad/Mature Usagi is so essential to the Stars arc and I think Anza pulled it off pretty well especially during I Miss You and her talk with Setsuna about Mamoru. She had her fun, silly Usagi moments but I think her more sad/mature/serious moments were the highlights of her character. Her Super Sailor Moon was pretty okay!! She had the mix of funny and serious Moon which created a good balance. Her Eternal Sailor Moon is obviously my favorite. I have to say I wasn’t as impacted as I was in Stars/Stars K but her Eternal Moon was still pretty good!! She makes her so strong/powerful and also really mature and lady-like which is why I love her as that version of Moon so much. Of course, she did well in all aspects and I just really really enjoy Anza-Moon a lot!! 💕
Ayako Morino (Ami Mizuno/Sailor Mercury)- Ah s***, here we go again. I really can’t stress enough how much I don’t like boy crazy Ami. I’m not a fan of the SenShi pairings so automatically I didn’t enjoy the ZoiAmi bits. This is not Ayako’s fault of course (it’s First Stage/general Myu writing) but seeing her act it out really didn’t settle with me. Ayako’s pre-Zoisite Ami wasn’t too bad?? She kinda overdid the “innocent Ami” but that’s nothing new. I quite enjoyed her Mercury though, because she really did break out of her “innocent Ami” character and showed her true strength as Mercury. Normally with these reviews I always prefer her Mercury over Ami and it’s the same with this one. She’s either lacking or too much, really.
Misako Kotani (Rei Hino/Sailor Mars)- MISAKO WAS SO GOOD IN THIS MYU!! I love her strong and sassy Rei and all her Rei scenes were so fun and interesting to watch! I really like how her relationship with the cast is shown through certain scenes (like the teacher-director switch scene) because it really added to her charm. Just like Ayako, she was given many scenes to showcase her character/character development and I think she gave off an amazing Rei and Mars. I love her voice and her acting so much here!! I’m sad Eien K is her last Myu because I’m really starting to like her a lot :^( .
Akari Tonegawa (Makoto Kino/Sailor Jupiter)- Akari wasn’t too bad of a Makoto/Jupiter! I really love her little movements and her facial expressions because they add more to her character. Her Makoto was more on the masculine side although she had moments which showed her girly side. Her Jupiter was lacking but, it’s more on the writing than her acting. I can’t really judge her voice on the singing aspect since she didn’t have a solo but, I do have to say her voice is quite powerful. Her dancing was okay and overall, I think she did pretty well despite not having much to do!
Akiko Miyazawa (Minako Aino/Sailor Venus)- Akiko was sooo cute!! I super love her Minako!! She portrayed the perfect fangirly Stars Minako and you can definitely tell from her gestures and how her voice becomes higher than usual (which was a nice touch)! Just like Akari, her senshi counterpart was lacking due to the writing. I think she had the potential to show a really great leader Venus! As mentioned before, her Minako was amazing and I think she touched on every aspect of the character pretty well!! I’m really excited for her next performance (and future ones)!!
Yuuta Mochizuki (Tuxedo Mask/Prince Endymion/King Endymion)- Just like in the previous Stars musicals, Tuxedo Mask/Endymion was hardly present. And when he was, he was typically walking around, getting attacked, kneeling and having few lines of dialogue. Even though he didn’t do much, I still think he did well in what he was able to do!! I hope they give him much more to do in Eien K since it’ll be his last Myu as Tux!!
Sanae Kimura (Haruka Tenoh/Sailor Uranus)- Oh yes!! Sanae was pretty good in this Myu!! She’s had really good scenes especially with Hiroko because their dynamic is just that great. Her Haruka really got to shine when she was with Hiroko. Their scene in Kick Out A Bloody Mystery and Orurean no Sei Senshi really showed off Haruka’s humorous and serious/dedicated side well. Her Uranus is still pretty strong. Her scenes with Moon, the Starlights and Galaxia really highlights her strength as Uranus (especially during the betrayal). Although Uranus (and Neptune) weren’t too memorable in this Myu, I think Sanae did a pretty good job in all aspects and got to portray her character pretty decently!!
Hiroko Tahara (Michiru Kaioh/Sailor Neptune)- Hiroko is just so so good. She makes me enjoy Michiru/Neptune so much!! I really do love her dynamic with Sanae because she actually gets to shine more/take the lead at times and she isn’t just Haruka’s femme gf on the side. As mentioned before, the mystery scene and Orurean no Sei Senshi were probably her best scenes as Michiru. As for her Neptune, she had much more of an impact that before. Especially during the betrayal scene where she said she’d follow Haruka anywhere she goes (she’s basically just re-enacting the scene from Act 1), it really felt genuine and I felt like she encapsulated Neptune and her emotions very well. She’s pretty great in all aspects and again, Uranus and Neptune weren’t too memorable in the Myu but she got to pull of her character pretty well!!
Rei Saitou (Setsuna Meioh/Sailor Pluto)- Oh my gosh I love Rei!! I really loved her scenes where she talked about spending her entire life alone yet still believing in love (or something like that). She really encapsulated Pluto’s loneliness and strength as a person and a soldier. She’s also had her funny moments which gave her a good balance of being humorous and serious. Her voice is amazing and she still dances pretty well!! Overall she did really great!! I super duper love her Pluto!
Chihiro Imai (Hotaru Tomoe/Sailor Saturn)- I think Chihiro did okay for her first and last role!! But I do think she could’ve done better. She captures child Hotaru a bit better than Keiko since she’s younger although, her delivery wasn’t too good at times. There were some points where she would sound emotionless and her movements were also kinda stiff. She has a good voice (especially for her character) but the way she says “Saturn” in To A Brand New World bothered me just a tiny bit. But otherwise, I think she was pretty okay!!
Mao Kawasaki (Chibi Chibi/Sailor Chibi Chibi)- I’m so glad Mao returned for this Myu although, her role as Chibi Chibi was very minor. Since Mao had exposure playing a child role in the past (Chibiusa), I think she was able to keep her acting pretty child-like. She didn’t have as much freedom as she did as Chibiusa but her monologue as Sailor Chibi Chibi and her song “Mou ii no” really amazed me!! She was really good!!
Sayuri Katayama (Seiya Kou/Sailor Star Fighter)- Oh my gosh can I just yell about how charming Sayuri’s Seiya is?? She got a good balance of leader Seiya/Fighter and soft/caring and charming Seiya/Fighter. I think her best moments were with Usagi (I Miss You) the other Starlights (Kick Out A Bloody Mystery) and Kakyuu (Kakyuu Ouhi to Three Lights). I think she captured more of the manga Seiya while having some bits of anime Seiya as well. To be honest, her strongest character is Seiya. Her Fighter had the leadership and care/concern but honestly, it doesn’t strike as much presence as her Seiya does. She has such an amazing singing voice and she dances pretty well so yeah!! I loved Sayuri!!
Hikari Ono (Taiki Kou/Sailor Star Maker)- Um...😔👉👈...I REALLY LOVE MY GIRL A LOT. She was so good okay. Honestly, she makes me less annoyed at Taiki altogether. She’s had her moments as the know-it-all (a.k.a ((sorry, language)) smartass) Taiki but she also had her funny/laid back moments too. I loved her scenes with Momoko or the Kinmoku gang because we really get to see the true character of Taiki/Maker which Hikari portrayed very well. I was surprised she had such a strong Maker because she didn’t really do much as her for the past 2 Myus!! She has the dedication (to mostly) Kakyuu and a strong will. Her singing is great and so was her dancing!! So yes 8/8 my girl did great!!
Momoko Okuyama (Yaten Kou/Sailor Star Healer)- Momoko is the CUTEST Yaten and you can’t convince me otherwise. I was watching the Stars anime when I watched this Myu and her Yaten was a breath of fresh air from her anime counterpart. She’s had her sassy moments but she was such a goof ball in almost all her scenes!! From solving mysteries to deciding on who the next leader of the Three Lights is, she was just so fun to watch! Her Star Healer was very strong and caring! I think she did pretty well in all aspects and I just love her!!
Sakoto Yoshioka (Princess Kakyuu)- YES FINALLY A KAKYUU!! I loved Sakoto!! She has such an amazing voice and I’m so glad they gave her more than one song to sing in this Myu! She really has the “other worldly” presence that Kakyuu has when she makes her first appearance. She was also very kind and motherly but in a different kind of way than Setsuna. She portrays Kakyuu’s emotions so well and she moves so gracefully which really made her capture Kakyuu’s character!! I’m looking forward to seeing her again in Eien K!
Tamami Matsumoto (Sailor Galaxia)- She's definitely different from Saori!! She has a lot more power and a lot more stage presence. She shows off Galaxia's dominant and villainous side really well. Although, I think she’s too mature for Galaxia. I see Galaxia as an intelligent kid but with lack of experience. Tamami’s Galaxia seemed like a queen figure (like Beryl or Nehelenia) who’s seeking revenge when she’s really just someone new to the scene. Nonetheless, I think she portrayed Galaxia well especially with her movement and her voice! And her reformed Galaxia was just as great!
Shadow Galatica (as a whole)- I’m surprised they didn’t include Iron Mouse in this one but even Aluminum Siren and Lead Crow considering that the Stars anime already ended by then and people should know Shadow Galactica but oh well I guess. They removed Pewter Fox as well for some reason but they made up for these losses with Tin Nyanko and Mitis (formerly known as Titanium) Keroko! Both Toni and Megumi did such amazing jobs portraying their characters in all aspects. Sailor Chi, Phi and Theta were amazing dancers and complimented scenes really well. I enjoyed them a lot!
Ryuji Kasahara (Kyaos/Chaos)- Don’t get me wrong, I love Ryuji as an actor and I did enjoy him in this role! But I really didn’t like the build/the writing for Chaos. In the manga he’s just like any other final boss at the end of each arc and since Chaos is the very last villain, he should be portrayed as the most evil creature to exist. Ryuji usually plays playful villains which is probably why they had to rewrite Chaos’ character. The teacher/director Kyaos was really fun to watch and he really played the two really well!! I just wish we could’ve gotten more of a serious/powerful Chaos from him.
Yuri Nishina (Queen Beryl)- So glad they brought her back from Gaiden! She makes an excellent Beryl!! Her voice is really suited for her character and she really shows the evilness of Beryl so well. She doesn’t do much dancing so her only movements are just swaying her arms when she attacks. That aspect kind of bothers me a bit in some scenes because it looks so lazily done even if her lines/scenes hold so much emotion. Regardless, I enjoyed her evil Queen Beryl as much as her reformed Beryl! She did well in both!!
Hidetaka Asano (Kunzite) & Akira Tomemori (Zoisite)- OH YES MY SHITENNOU BOYS!! I mean this time we only have half of them, but it kinda works! Zoisite had more of a role than Kunzite since he somewhat pursued a relationship with Ami. Due to that, Zoisite showed more of his masculine side than feminine side which really changed the atmosphere around his character. Kunzite on the other hand, was less of a leader and more of a casual person. Despite these, I think both Akira and Hidetaka were able to carry on their characters very well! They delivered their lines confidently and they have good singing and movement! I really enjoyed their performance!!
.
.
.
The story: I’m gonna change this part up! Normally I’d tell the story while inserting my opinions in at certain points but since Eien is longer than previous Myus (I think this one’s 2 hours?), I’ll just give my opinions on the story instead.
It was SO MESSY. This is like the first Stars Myu but even messier. The best way I can describe this story is that they fused both interpretations (anime and manga) of the Dark Kingdom and Stars Arc but also kinda tried to revise Stars K? There was just so much going on in general. Some parts can be understood if you’ve seen the anime or read the manga (or both) but if you’re a Myu-only person then maybe those things may seem unclear/unnoticeable.
[ACT 1]
I’m assuming this is because of the 2 hour time mark but Act 1 was super long. It kinda felt dragging at times. They also inserted a scene that wasn’t really necessary which was the “Little Match Girl” scene with (who I’m assuming is) Chihiro. It was just her talking to this entity (I think it’s Beryl?) while lighting her last match. The entity was talking about how darkness is gonna swallow up the world and how that last match won’t help her (which it didn’t) and through that, Queen Beryl got resurrected. Do you get what I mean??
But aside from that, the rest of Act 1 was just okay. It was a super long act and since there was so much in it, I didn’t find the transitions from scene to scene to be well executed. I think each Senshi/character got a fair amount of screen time although some didn’t really do much. All the musical numbers and scenes were great!! It’s just that there’s too much, really.
[ACT 2]
Act 2 was way shorter. By this point you should be getting the story but I still didn’t understand what I was watching. There was definitely a shift in atmosphere between the acts as Act 1 was more lively and fun (although it had a few serious moments) while Act 2 was more heavy and probably tried to focus on the story more. Most characters were well developed by then until we discover that some of them get redeemed or some of them are actually evil (or maybe they were pretending to be evil but were just good all along). I’d have to say that I preferred this section of the story more than the first. It just seems more well put together although it still hardly makes any sense. The unexpected shift of stance from the villains (evil to good or “good” to (very) evil) was a nice touch on their part. All in all, I think Act 2 or just the ending of the Myu really wrapped up everything pretty well. Despite all the many ups and downs, the ending was actually quite decent.
If you want to know about the story, I suggest you read the ‘97 Eien page on the SM Wiki: https://sailormoon.fandom.com/wiki/Pretty_Soldier_Sailor_Moon_%7E_Eternal_Legend
Overall opinion: As much as I really wanted to like this Myu, I can't. I had a hard time understanding what was going on & I had to watch this a second time just to make this review. The actors and actresses weren't bad, they all did such an amazing job; the story is just terrible. The concept they went for is good, it's just that the execution wasn't. I'm really hoping for the best for Eien K especially since it's the last Myu of the First Stage.
.
.
FINALLY!! GOSH THIS TOOK A WHILE. I actually watched this Myu with @missemperor back in May and we DID NOT enjoy it. I had to watch it again because the story never stuck to me and I forgot what everyone did in the Myu. To be honest, there were moments that are likable but the problem really is just the story. I’m really crossing my fingers for Eien K!! How about you? Did you like ’97 Eien? Did we agree on things? Feel free to leave your thoughts!!

Past and Future memories with you-Shiro Ship Week Day 3
I really want to do a full Sailor Moon au, though my ideas for it follow more of the live action version of it and yes, I actually watched it. I liked it, bad fight scenes aside. I tired to mix both versions, but it mostly leans on the original anime more. Hopefully you enjoy it anyway. Memories
Shiro watched Allura push his coffee table out of the way, not bothering to help her. She would just snap at him and remind him that she saved the city from monsters on an almost daily bases. He guessed the wedding planning was really getting to her.
“Ok, come here.” She ordered.
Shiro stepped up in front of her and let her take his hand and place one on her waist, her nails slightly digging into his other hand.
“Ok, now we are going to go through this dance over and over if we have to until it’s perfect.” As Allura said this, her grip on his hand started getting tighter and tighter until he had to put a stop to this.
Gently as he could, he pulled his hand away and took a step back. “Allura, sweetie, light of my life, moon to my earth, my sailor suited super hero. Don’t you think your taking this dance a bit too seriously? You’ve been stressed like crazy trying to plan this wedding.”
“Well it’s not my fault the new enemy decided to appear now!”
“Sweetie, I don’t care how perfect the wedding is. As long as I’m marrying you, that’s all that matters. Shouldn’t that be the only thing that matters? I mean to be honest, our first wedding wasn’t perfect.”
Allura rolled her eyes. “Shiro, the first time we got married, technically we eloped.”
True, but Shiro remembered it perfectly. Back when his name was Ryou and Allura’s name was Fara and they were star crossed lovers, in the most literal sense.
With the help of her personal guard, Princess Fara escaped for a day to Earth, the home of their enemy. But to Fara, it was a place of mystery. Then she met him. Prince Ryou, though she hadn’t known that then. To her, he was just a kind guy who helped her find her guards when separated, who treated her well. She tried to forget him when she found out, but when he came to the Moon and bumped into her again, it was hard. They met up more and more and before they knew it, they were in love. Ryou wanted to give up his place as prince to be with Fara, to help protect her when the Dark Kingdom set its sights on the Moon Kingdom. He had wanted to ask for her hand properly but with the battle growing closer and the Dark Kingdom growing stronger, it never seemed like the right time but he didn’t want to lose her. So he asked her to marry him, right then and there during one of the secret meetings. Fara said yes, knowing she could lose her love in a split second. It was only a week later the Dark Kingdom attacked the Moon and the two lovers lost their lives wanting nothing more than to protect each other.
It had been a sudden wedding, but seeing Fara, the girl who’d become his Allura standing there in the garden where they’d meet, surrounded by his favourite roses, he’d known then he wanted to marry her. Lotor had been surprised when he was called over and told that they were going to marry there, but the white haired leader of the Shitennou had seemed to give up on making sense when it came to his master and his lover.
“Surrounded by roses and moonlight, might not have been perfect in general but right then it was perfect for us wasn’t it?” Shiro asked.
Allura pouted slightly. “It was, but Shiro. Come on, I mean it seemed like not that long ago, Junko arrived here looking for help and then your future self sent you visions of me being killed on our wedding day to test you. That’s in our memories now which changes the future a bit. I don’t want that to be your main memory of our wedding to be that.”
That was a fair point. When things had been quite and it seemed like the Sailor Senshi would finally be able to take a breather and just live like the young adults they were, Junko arrived. They didn’t know that she was Allura and Shiro daughter, but they knew when she kept asking for Sailor Moon to help her find the Silver Crystal she thought she had lost, Shiro took her in.
Then the dreams came. They’d start out nice, him and Allura on their wedding day and then things would go south so quickly. It was like being back at the Moon Kingdom all over again as it was being attacked and he’d lost Fara. Allura had disappeared just as quickly and harsh words warned him away from Allura. So concerned for her safety, he had listened. But it was torture, especially knowing he was the main reason she’d cry. Even small Junko, who hadn’t known her parents were right in front of her, would childishly scold him for making Allura cry. He wanted to hate himself for ever hurting her, but he hated himself more for not realising it had been a twisted test sent by his future self to make sure he could protect Allura no matter what.
“Ok, fine. I get you wanting to erase that memory, but everything perfect? Allura, we’ve been through hell and high water. I got kidnapped by the Dark Kingdom, we lost our memories for a little while, the whole Junko thing happened. Nothing in our life is perfect. Would it be so terrible if this one little dance isn’t? I know you’ve planned everything else to be amazing.”
Allura started looking pacified. “I’m go a bit insane, aren’t I?”
“Well I’ll marry you either way, but I’m pretty sure it’s taking everything in Lance to keep Keith from snapping. Allura, we love you and we know you want this to be perfect but honey, no matter what happens, it’ll be perfect, because it’ll be ours. Not Fara and Ryou, not Neo Queen Allura and High King Takashi, just us, Shiro and Allura. We won’t be plagued by any bad memories because we’ll be making our own. Ok?”
Allura nodded. “Ok. But I am serious though, we have to practise this dance. We both know how clumsy I can be.”
“Ah yes, some things never change.” Shiro teased, laughing when Allura glared at him.
Allura messed with her phone for a moment before setting it on the arm of the couch and taking her place again. Shiro smiled as the music of their music box poured through the speakers. Their new allies, two of the Outer Planet Senshi, were skilled violinist and pianist and had promised to play the music from the music box Ryou had given Fara and that Shiro had given to Allura. The music might have been riddled with memories of their past life but they’d be able to make new ones, starting right there.
“Don’t look at your feet.” Shiro told Allura. “Just look at me. I haven’t let you fall yet, I’m not gonna start now.”

It is Friday night, and Linkus7 has been playing Gamecube’s The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker for what will quickly became a standing-room only crowd at AGDQ 2020.
At the very beginning of his run, Linkus7 explained the history of speedrunning The Wind Waker at AGDQ 2020 against the game’s opening soundtrack and that the technique he wanted to perform at AGDQ 2020, barrier skip, had been long sought since the GameCube version’s launch. He dove into why he was playing on the Japanese version and that this version was required to make this GameCube skip possible. Linkus7 explained and executed several progressively more difficult tricks as the game progressed before he explained that he had to perform memory corruption. To do this trick, he needed to perform seventy (not one more or one less) grapple pulls after throwing bait out of bounds in Forever Haven so enough information is stored in the game’s memory that when he visited Hyrule underwater for the very first time, only nine out of ten objects would spawn there. The room went dead silent as he started to count up to seventy in Swedish, pausing midway through to ask his ‘couch’ (people who help explain the runs that are also on stream) to verify his count so far.
The live stream setup consists of bright lights and a large amount of tech that makes the stream possible surrounding the speedrunners and their couches. This room would quickly fill up as Linkus7 did his run. (Image taken by me).
As Link later walked through the ruined Temple of Time, he told everyone that hopefully the one non-spawning object would be the barrier between where Link was standing and the end of the game at Hyrule Castle. In other words, the long-sought-after Barrier Skip would come to life before all of Twitch and the present audience. As Linkus7 finally got to where Hyrule Castle could be seen, the hated barrier was still there on the bridge. The room remained silent as Linkus7 continually rezoned back and forth between the Temple of Time and the pathway to Hyrule Castle while he explained that this part of a speedrun is always luck based and this is how people lose time during a run. Then, 54:23.5 minutes into the run, the barrier was gone and the live crowd deafeningly cheered and the oppressive tension that had been present from the very beginning when Linkus7 booted up this GameCube classic was released all at once.
It was also at that point that one point four million dollars had been raised so far for the Prevent Cancer Foundation.
This video starts from the beginning of Linus7’s run for AGDQ 2020. You really should down to watch the entire thing, as it is mesmerizing.
Games Done Quick exists as a paradox: Most video game charity fundraisers encourage people to donate money so they will play their video game(s) of choice longer. For example, Mario Marathon sets an ever-increasing price for people to play more levels from the Super Mario franchise of games and Desert Bus for Hope will run each year for as many hours as people donate to fund it. With Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ), Summer Games Done Quick (SGDQ) or Games Done Quick Express (GDQX), things are different. Instead of stretching gameplay for as long as possible with more donations, GDQ want speedrunners to play their schedule of games in as small of a time as possible while also raising a lot of money. This is the only marathon, in other words, that everyone wants to end as soon as possible.
TAS runs (‘tool assisted speedruns’) are a type of speedrun where people put together a computer-programmed version of a speedrun on standard, unmodified video game equipment that can do tricks that are impossible for a human. These TAS runs, with TASBot and his keeper dwangoAC, have been both a staple and a highlight of Games Done Quick for years. (Images taken by me).
I have watched the Twitch streams over the past several years, so I was not sure what I would find to occupy my time in the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel for several days. After all, what more could there be more to do other than watch people play games live that I could instead comfortably watch in sweatpants on my couch at home? To my surprise, there is so much to do at the event that is outside of the main ballroom that everyone sees on Twitch and how these things are organized outside of the core GDQ team.

Some of the other marquee events are the various tournaments that take place over the length of AGDQ. These events are put on by the attendees and speedrunners themselves, and GDQ has little (if any) involvement. I participated in the third-annual PlayStation Mystery Vs Tournament on Friday, which had almost sixty participants in a double-elimination format. The event included all of the one-hundred-and-fifty-odd PSX games that offered a two-player mode. Players would be paired up in a shuffled seed draw and then would have a random title, American or International, drawn from a bag. The opponents would then play until one of them wins however many assigned rounds. The games were crazy and frequently bad, and I was more than impressed with both how passionate the players were with gaming and the organizers with putting on this event with games from their own personal collections. It was a lot of fun to play, even though I wound up losing both of my games that I played.
The games were all put on slips like the above image and drawn out of a bag. And that meant that two poors souls had to play the absolutely awful Japan-only release of Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon SuperS: Shin Shuyaku Soudatsusen, as seen below. (Images taken by me).
If tournaments aren’t your thing, there are consoles and games to borrow from World 9 Gaming (check out my interview with the co-owners to find out more about that), there are arcade games to play, practice rooms for speedrunning practice, and even a board game room to play that seemed to have people at all hours of the day. And the thing is, everyone that I encountered was overwhelmingly friendly and eager to either try out some crazy game that no one has heard of before or to take up a versus match in a game that everyone knows. There was simply, and surprisingly for me, so much to do at AGDQ that I was never bored and that the streaming room turned out to only be a small portion of the entire event for me.

Finally, I alluded to this earlier, but I think it bears mentioning again: AGDQ is about speedrunning. And every single person who attended, no matter what game that person ran or whatever streamer that viewer loved to watch, was happy to be there. I have covered a lot of events, and the energy among this crowd -whether in a tournament or watching the stream live or playing an arcade/board game/borrowed console- was infectiously positive and happy. This event was one of the most friendly events that I have ever had the opportunity to cover, and I found myself drawn into conversations with complete strangers about how cool such-and-such run was or how much a particular game sucks to play.
This year’s AGDQ ended with a run of the 2006 ROM-hack Super Metroid Impossible by oatsngoats. Even though the run stretched into Sunday morning, the room was filled with people who were clinging onto every moment of his run. (Images taken by me).
Games Done Quick has successfully made speedrunning an event that you can easily speed a week attending in person. The online stream experience simply has to be experienced in person to be believed, and it will hook you too. I simply cannot stress this enough- if any event put on by Games Done Quick is in your area -or even if it isn’t- and you have even a passing interest in speedrunning, you really should go. I loved attending this event and celebrating as large amounts of money (over three million this time) was raised for charity.
After the last run ended, and AGDQ 2020 was completed, the night was not over for everyone. AGDQ is as much as the premiere speedrunning social event as it is a charitable fundraiser. (Image taken by me).
Summer Games Done Quick 2020 has just been announced for Bloomington, Minnesota for June 21 to June 28, 2020 to most likely raise money for Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders). And even though I will be most likely working E3 almost directly beforehand, I still honestly want to go.
You can check out Awesome Games Done Quick at their official website, on Twitter, on Facebook, on Instagram, and on Twitch.
You can also find out more about the Prevent Cancer Foundation at their official website, on Facebook, on Twitter, on linkedin, on Pinterest, on Instagram, and on YouTube. And you should definitely go donate now.
