I feel so bad for zephyr, what are some of her happiest memories? Would it be first meeting the members of her local group? I assume they would be built after her, was she excited about them being built or was she not informed at all?
she wouldn't be very... Present. most likely hadn't managed to be there for every Iterator when they first came online. she is very removed from most of her group because she's unable to stick in the chats for too long with all the damage and her endless attempts to conserve herself as much as possible, so her interactions with others outside of the Anemoi (and this one guy called Orion's Pathway) are extremely limited
Boreas, though, ever the life-saver, updates her on any new Iterator projects being build, how are the already existing ones doing- see she is kind of hard to cheer up and as a rule she never really laughs, but oh hearing about successes of others always manages to make her happy. that has been a thing for her since day one!
so Boreas would make a list of the Eo group's achievements with Euros and Orion's help and he'd read them out for her during their routine calls. those calls are probably one of her happiest memories, since she got so much serotonin and motivation out of hearing about her family (n also just in general- their start might've been rocky but Zeph n B really really love each other [platonically ofc])
they might not Know her, only be aware that their senior is called Abet Zephyr and her appearances are strangely rare, but she loves them all. if she hadn't, it wouldn't be called Mission Self-preservation. it'd be way more revenge focused. her number one priority is the safety of her family even if she doesn't know them personally. she puts them above her anger, physical and emotional trauma cuz she just fuckin loves them that much
her other happy memories include some stuff with Sparrows! after Zephyr allows her opinion about the Ancients develop, she finds herself glad whenever Sparrows would show up to do some more repairs and spend some time with the old humidifier. jgklsdmclk just like with a grandma, Sparrows would show her some stuff on her phone/Mechanic's watch and Zeph would be confused about it but she gets to spend the time with someone she likes so it's okay
along with Euros on a call the three of them would sing folk songs from Sparrows' home with Boreas usually listening in, very rarely joining in
Zephyr wasn't given overseers until Sparrows showed up for the first time, too, so when she synced with the eyes and took a peak outside for the first time in her life, that was... that stuck with her as a strong memory, too. can't exactly say it was a Happy memory, but only cuz there was so much happening in her emotionally in that moment that simplifying it to a singular one wouldn't really represent it right
here's her lighting up while Boreas tells her about positive recent events of the group
her antennas are broken- that's why they are always down like that- but Dammit she is Happy we Gotta wiggle 'em at least a wee bit

Hello :) what do you think about Thenamesh Actors AU where they shoot a scene and a stunt scene ends up badly and Gil gets hurt?
"Okay," Gil murmured as he tested the strength of his harness. "Ready?"
"I suppose so," Thena murmured next to him as they finished securing her own harness. They were getting ready for the big 'jump' shot. They had built the actual platforms on the soundstage and everything. Of course they weren't literal stories high, but they were higher than she really wanted to think about, if she was being honest.
"Hey," he said softly, nudging her with his elbow. "I've done these a million times before. You get pretty used to them after a while. It'll go great."
Thena smiled. She had leaned on his expertise in stunting so heavily for the project, and he had been nothing but warm and kind about it the whole way. "I've never done a 'jump' this big before."
"Well," he looked across the set to the other platform. "I'm making the jump first. And then I'll be waiting on the other side to catch you."
"Right," Thena nodded, also looking at the distance. She just had to think of it in terms of her character. She had more faith than Thena did in most things, after all. And she had faith in her husband over anything--that was a core element of her performance.
Gil matched her mindset, "he would never let her fall."
Thena nodded, breathing through the silly little stutter of her heart in her chest. Gil really was a great actor--a little too good, actually.
"Back to one!"
"Okay," he gave her elbow a squeeze, "I'll see you on the other side."
Thena took a few deep breaths, getting into character for the cut whether this was her shot or not. She nodded to him, already in the mind of the woman who had married him and was very literally riding or dying with him for the rest of the film.
"Action!"
"I'll go first," he recited the line, giving her hand a squeeze as he did. He looked out over the gap, taking a running leap before jumping off their side of it.
The harness was fine. It was the cable that broke.
"Gil!"
He gripped the end of it, but it slipped out of its pulley, sending him plummeting to the ground from nine feet up in the air. He hit fast and hard, his pain ringing out over the fans blowing and the rumbling of the platforms.
Thena clawed her way out of her harness, batting away the multiple sets of hands on her. She tossed it off of her, rushing down the stairs to where Gilgamesh had fallen. "Gil, are you okay?!"
"Fuck," he cursed as the medics turned him over, clutching his arm.
"Oh god," Thena gasped, tears already slipping down her cheeks. She barely registered pushing people out of the way so she could kneel down next to him. Her hand went to his cheek, "Gil, look at me."
He struggled to do so, but he did it. "Hey."
"Hey," she smiled through her sniffling. She looked up at the on-set medics. "What happened?"
"Cable snapped, he fell with his full weight on his arm."
Thena glared up at the director and producers, already making career saving calls. "Why the hell wasn't the mat there?!"
"That's what the harness is for-"
"And clearly he got hurt anyway!" she barked back at them, cradling Gil's head against her lap protectively.
"Thena, it's okay," he grumbled. He was clearly not okay.
"I'm sorry," she sniffed again, tucking her hair behind her ears as she looked down at him, "I'm sorry, you try to stay still."
Gil sighed as she laid his head on her thighs, stroking his hair as the medics stabilized his arm and pulled out a temporary sling. "This is really gonna fuck us up."
Thena tightened her hand on his good shoulder, "they're lucky I don't burn this place to the ground."
Gil chuckled, trying not to jostle his arm as he did. He looked up at his beautiful co-star with a smile. "I'm glad it was me and not you."
Thena sighed, shaking her head at him. "Can you be less sweet right now, please? I am trying to be angry."
"Well, be angry later," he remarked lightly as the painkillers the medics gave him started to kick in.
"Seems to be a clean break, they'll give him more stuff at the hospital," the medic said. "Ambulance is already on the way."
"Can she come with me?" Gil asked lightly, pointing up at Thena with his good hand, although the hand floated around a little.
"Sh," Thena whispered, taking the hand in hers and lowering it back down to his chest tenderly. "It's okay, Gil."
"Please?" he looked first at the medic - who didn't give a shit who went with him or not - and then at Thena. "I'd feel so much better if she did."
"We can't lose both our stars in one day!"
Thena glared up at the director again, "you broke his arm. I'm going to the hospital with him. And then I'll call our agents and see how the hell we're going to fix this mess!"
She would call both their agents, if they didn't already know. She would also have to call Sprite so she could meet them there, just in case it took a long time for Gil to be processed. And they had to go through the trouble of keeping his identity as quiet as possible so the studio could try and get on top of things-
"Hey."
Thena looked down at Gil, already half-loopy from the pain meds they'd given him. He had threaded their fingers together, but she wasn't about to tear her hand away if it was of any comfort to him.
"Don't leave me," he whispered up at her, "okay?"
Later she would remember it was technically a line from the script, not that Gilgamesh was likely lucid enough to remember that. But she leaned over, kissing his forehead to release the furrow of his brows. "I'm right here with you."

I want to make something clear regarding my previous post wherein I said that Tangle is impulsive and didn't think before suggesting the name Diamond Cutters through before she said it.
Saying that Tangle's impulsivity led her to blurt that name without thinking is giving her grace.
Because the alternative, that she did think about suggesting the name of Whisper's dead comrades as their team name—that she had been thinking for a long time that she wanted to be a Diamond Cutter because it would be so cool—would make her at best insensitive, and at worst callous, and selfish on either front. That she could sit there, knowing how much they meant to Whisper, knowing how traumatized Whisper was by losing them (to the point where Whisper's entire personality changed as a direct result of the trauma, something Tangle knows both a.) from the video footage, and b.) from Mimic calling her "bubbly little Whisper" after he was caught), and knowing that Whisper herself said the Diamond Cutters were done at the end of the miniseries, and still suggest the name? That would make it an intentional betrayal of Whisper's confidence and feelings, and that's not something I think their relationship—friendship or otherwise—could bounce back from.
After all, Whisper told Tangle that the Diamond Cutters are gone.
"The Diamond Cutters are done" doesn't mean "hey it's totally cool to use their name for a new team!" It means the Diamond Cutters are done. They are gone. They are dead. To carefully think about all of that and still suggest the name would be horrifically insensitive on Tangle's part, especially since Whisper was just re-traumatized by losing the Wisps to Surge*, and Tangle knows that something happened at the very least, even if she doesn't know the exact details.
Tangle has been thinking about teaming up with Whisper again for a long time, yes. Absolutely, 100%. She left the Restoration (or at least cut her hours back to part-time) so that she could go find Whisper. We all know this. Thinking about teaming up with Whisper is not what Tangle was impulsive about. Suggesting they go by the name Diamond Cutters is what Tangle was impulsive about. After all, the team being a huge group was not Tangle's idea, but Lanolin's:
And Sonic is the one who brought up the idea of a team name, to which Tangle responded immediately:
As I said in my previous post, to give Tangle the most benefit of the doubt, the most gracious read we can, we have to think she just didn't think that much before suggesting the name. At most, she always thought the Diamond Cutters' name / outfits were cool, and she might've thought Whisper would appreciate the homage, because again, she's not a trauma therapist. She doesn't realize the long-term effects that Whisper's trauma had on her, even knowing that Whisper's personality did a 180 as a result. She didn't think on it long enough to realize that Whisper told her about all that in confidence, that she was the only person Whisper had opened up to about it, that Whisper was trusting her with that information, only to have that blow up in her face in a room with Jewel, Sonic, and Lanolin.
And while Whisper does consider Sonic and Jewel friends (we don't know about Lanolin), they were clearly not as close to her as Tangle. She doesn't trust them that much, not with her past. And Whisper is, by and large, a non-confrontational person outside of life-or-death combat; she doesn't speak up against the name, because that's just not who she is. Instead she's gritting her teeth and getting through the mission as fast as she can, and tries to ditch the others at the first available opportunity. Is this the healthiest or most mature way to behave? No. But Whisper is a traumatized sixteen-year-old, so she deserves grace, too.
All in all, I didn't say what I said to insult Tangle, or not give her credit. I love Tangle. And I absolutely think that her heart was in the right place. But she did not think this through. She didn't realize that what she saw as carrying on the Diamond Cutters' name in their honor would be a breach of the trust that Whisper gave to her. If she had taken time to think of a team name before popping off with the first one that came to mind after Sonic asked, then I think she would have chosen not to suggest it, at least not before talking to Whisper privately about it. Because Tangle has a huge heart. Tangle loves her friends. And she would never do anything to intentionally hurt Whisper, which suggesting that name absolutely did (and which she would have realized would had, again, she had taken time to think about it).
So, teaming up with Whisper? Yes, Tangle has been thinking about that forever. She's been wanting it forever. She specifically set out to do that between "Trial By Fire" and "Overpowered."
But calling Lanolin's squad the Diamond Cutters? No. That was an impulse decision. Because suggesting otherwise makes Tangle seem insensitive at best and callous at worst and that's just not who she is.
(*Losing the Wisps is re-traumatizing because the Wisps were every bit as much a part of the Diamond Cutters as the mobian members were. This is why they also signed the message that Whisper left for Mimic to lure him back to the Diamond Cutters' base:
When Surge kidnapped the Wisps, she stole what remained of Whisper's found family. This is why Whisper grew more distressed with each one she lost, culminating with having to be restrained by Tails after Cyan was taken. Of course, unlike the mobian members of the team, the Wisps weren't killed and she was reunited with them, but that doesn't make the experience any less traumatizing / any less like reopening a wound that still hasn't really healed.)
