I'm not yet done watching Loonatics (not that I've been watching it properly), but hoooo boi. I rly like WeatherVane but I think she's been underutilized as a character. Her intro's okay and all, but after the episode?? Uhh nah... which sucks. This was supposed to be an attempt to add more "sense" into her character, but instead, I ended up making an entirely different take on her. Woops.

I modified their outfits a bit to highlight the fact that Paula's more fitting for the job than Misty. I think... it'll make more sense that Paula would just want the weather report to be delivered justly. She may also be passionate about the climate, hence why she seems to know what she's talking about.

Added an hc to explain her knowledge bc why not you can't stop me

I hc her to be adopted and raised into a bird couple, the mom being a climatologist while the father is a meteoroligist. They taught Paula everything she knew, sharing their knowledge and passion of their profession. What captivated Paula the most is the weather.

Despite being good at their jobs, Paula's parents aren't respected in their neighborhood. They didn't understand the family's "obsession" of nature's behavior. At some point, they even mocked Paula's pops when he risked his life to observe a hurricane that occurred in their town. It bothers the girl to know that people are willing to pay attention to what TV folks have to say, but then ignore those who actually provided the information. This pushed Paula to pursue weather forecasting as a way to educate others and for the risks taken by people like her father to not be in vain. (She also concludes from this experience that people mostly put the worse people on a pedestal. She wouldn't be a fan of the Loonatics as a result)

Unfortunately, even after getting a job as part of the newscasting crew, she didn't do that. Not that she can, people barely listen to her.

The crew would pay attention at first, but then either forget or disregard her. The one who mistreats her the most is Misty Breeze, who doesn't even bother to listen to her criticism and suggestions. When she did, the woman would claim that SHE thought of it. Although frustrated, Paula did not give up. She can't - not when she's still part of the crew

After the meteor incident and the rise of the loonstics, things turned for the worse.

Paula didn't know she had weather powers. What she does know is that she become more "sensitive" lately (as her coworkers say).

Misty is at the peak of her brattiness when this ep. started, making Paula all the more frustrated. The fury she's feeling causes the already bad weather to worsen. So the usual stuff happens (Misty dumps coffee on Paula, rain pours on her, yadda yadda), but instead of being able to report, the weather got even worse to the point it was nearly impossible to report it (this is influenced by Paula's excitement. Excitement =/= Calmness) . Misty comes back to find their stuff in shambles from the weather, then acusses Paula to screw up everything. It leads to Paula ranting and scolding Misty for being such a rude diva that should stop accusing others over things she can't control.

Of course, Misty is offended. And of course, no one sides with Paula, especially since Misty is ACMEtropolis's beloved news reporter. Their boss fired Paula at the spot to appease Misty.

Realizing all her attempts were in vain, Paula eventually broke down, turning into WeatherVane

"Hyung, the show is about to begin!!! Guys, it's on now," Mingyu declared. It was their rest day at the dorms, and they were anticipating all morning for Sam Okyere's morning show to come out on TV.

They've been longtime fans of Sam Okyere, but this morning, they weren't just waiting for Sam Okyere himself to appear onscreen.

Giggling like teenagers, the boys filed into the living room and scrambled onto whatever couches or chairs they could find around the massive television set. Seungkwan and Chan bickered about who gets to sit closer to the TV. Mingyu frantically planted a leg on the place beside him. “Seungcheol-hyung! Jeez, where is that guy?”

“What are you doing? The show’s about to start!”

“I know! And I’m documenting that I’m about to watch it.” Seungcheol kept typing on his phone. Every now and then he would be hitting Mingyu on the shoulder or he would hug him close as he did his best to release pent-up excitement. “SHE’S ABOUT TO COME OUT!!! Wait, should I video this? Like record it? Or do I just watch? What do I do? I can’t. I’m too excited I just can’t—”

“—Ouch.” Mingyu drew back from Seungcheol, annoyed and massaging his poor shoulder. “You have a Twitter account just for stanning her?”

“She’s my ultimate crush, Mingyu.” Seungcheol looked at Mingyu with besotted eyes. “My ultimate crush. And, actually, I have two Twitter accounts for her. Then an Insta. Snappy. The works. Everything.”

“Crazy,” Mingyu muttered, suddenly scared as he thought of Seungcheol snooping around TWT and Instagram with secret fan accounts.

“I’m president of one of her fanbases, too!” Seungcheol declared with bleary eyes and a voice full of emotion as he briefly showed Mingyu his phone. “This is how much I stan her.”  

“You’re crazy,” Mingyu declared in his adorable English, shaking his head, before turning away.

“What are we doing?” Jisoo asked, laughing as he caught himself also participating in the rush to the couches. “Why are we acting like teenage boys?” Even as he slapped Jeonghan’s legs away from the spot that he wanted to squeeze himself into, he added as he shook his head, “Why are we like this?”

Even though Jisoo knew the answer and he was just voicing out his thoughts, everyone answered (and not without sassiness in their voices), “Duh.” “Did you really have to ask that, hyung?”

“The host is about to announce her!!!”

“I’m going to faint, I’m going to faint,” Seungcheol muttered to himself as he shakily zoomed the camera in on the TV.

“Hello, everyone!!!”

At the sound of your voice, everyone in the room started screaming, covering their blushing faces.

“She hasn’t even sung yet and we’re all going crazy,” Chan lamented, leaning on Hansol as he did so. “How is she that pretty onscreen? And she doesn’t look like she’s wearing too much makeup, either.”

Seungcheol dried his eyes, which were tearing up as he collected his emotions while videoing everything that was going on the screen. “She’s so beautiful,” he gushed adoringly, “so beautiful.”

“Now that we’ve finished talking about your concert, I’d just like to ask if it’s your first time coming here to South Korea, or have you visited before?” the host, a cheerful, beautiful man named Sam, asked you brightly.

You laughed self-consciously and nodded. “Yes, I’ve been here before! Actually, I come here almost every year since 2015. I wasn’t as big a singer then yet, so I had more freedom coming in and out of the country. I love this country. Feels like home to me! I stay here for about two weeks, tops, after concerts—” you stop in your tracks, your hand flying to your mouth.

Sam wiggled his eyebrows comically. “A concert? Which group? There are a lot of groups here! And we’re so glad that you go to one—or two?”

“One,” you acknowledged, blushing a crimson red and smiling. “Just one. But I do know a lot of groups, though. It’s just that I’m an avid fan of this particular group…” you debated revealing which group it was, and you kept laughing with Sam because you have been outed.

“Can you tell us which one?”

“Of course!” you answered, smiling at the camera. “SEVENTEEN, if you are watching this, I just hope you know that I’m your biggest fan and I love you guys!” You hesitated, before adding, as your face turned very red but very happy, “Especially you, Choi Seungcheol!”

As everyone watched the screen, they were dumbstruck.

Slowly, the twelve boys looked to their leader, who had dropped his phone on the floor the moment he heard you say those words. Seungcheol’s mouth hung open, his eyes so wide and so sparkly that it looked like the flecks of light on his eyes would jump out like stars.

“Especially. Me?”

“She probably doesn’t know what she’s saying,” Jeonghan commented calmly but with venomous intent, as he playfully glared at his friend. “She’s probably jet-lagged. We say crazy things when we're jet-lagged."

Soonyoung turned to Seungcheol, his adorable, tiny eyes narrowing glaringly. “I am such a hater.”

“Especially me.”

Seungcheol couldn’t breathe.

“Especially me.”

some more elaborate thoughts on the given dub

OK ok i made a rly vague post about this a while ago but i have A Lot Of Thoughts and want to get them in order

People have their various feelings about dubs, and to each their own opinion, but! I happen to think they can be really good, provided that they’re cast well. Which, of course, is why I have pretty strong opinions on various roles in the Given cast - specifically Mafuyu’s.

Take two seconds to look at the stuff I post on here (or hell, just look at my damn username) and it’s very easy to tell that the show Given means a lot to me. I’ll chat about that more in depth some other time, but it’s something I love a lot and, as a reasonably big fan of the manga/show, I am really, REALLY hoping the dub is done well - not only in having a good cast, but also in keeping the music and its meaning as true to the original as possible. 

Given is, at its core, a story about grieving. The story follows Mafuyu as he not only comes to terms with everything he’s lost, but also how to express his feelings about it - specifically through music. Part of what makes Fuyunohanashi so raw and painful and real (at least in my opinion) is the fact that it’s sung by Mafuyu’s voice actor, Shogo Yano. He does an absolutely fantastic job, and I could ramble about how excellent both Fuyunohanashi and Marutsuke (the end credits song) are all day, but the point I’m trying to make is that the music being performed specifically by Mafuyu’s voice actor makes a world of difference in the emotional value of each song. 

So, where does that leave us with the dub?

The dubbed voice actor could be cast to match Mafuyu’s pitch/tone as closely as possible so the original audio for Fuyunohanashi could be reused. Provided that the voices are similar enough that it’s hard to tell the singer is someone else unless you’re actually looking for it, I’d be ok with that (and similar things have been done reasonably effectively before, such as with Jack Skellington in The Nightmare Before Christmas).

The directors could also go the translyrics route, and translate the song as best they could into English and have the new VA sing that. Which also works, although some of the meaning and raw emotion of the song will also undoubtedly be lost (the same as with any dub).

But really, I think the best (although most theoretically difficult) option would be to find a dub voice actor who can provide a fantastic performance as Mafuyu, and then deliver an equally fantastic performance of Fuyunohanashi in its original language. Thus providing an opportunity for a new take and perspective while keeping the base meaning of the piece the same. 

Now, if only we knew a voice actor who can give a spectacular and heartbreaking performance as Mafuyu, AND sing beautifully in Japanese...

(if you exist in the cosplayer/anime community of TikTok, you probably know exactly who I’m talking about.) 

Brandon McInnis has had several noteworthy roles (Sir Nighteye in My Hero Academia, Gen Asagiri in Dr Stone, etc), can certainly sing (he’s released both original songs and covers) and is fluent (or at least fluent enough to be able to speak comfortably and release translated covers of anime OPs and other songs in Japanese). Moreover, he’s revealed himself to be a fan of given (see this tiktok) and covered (or at least partially covered? It’s unclear from the short clip) Fuyunohanashi. 

Casting Brandon McInnis as Mafuyu Sato would allow for an opportunity that I, at least, have not seen before in dubs. He could bring his own take to Mafuyu’s characte, Fuyunohanashi, and Marutsuke, all without losing each song’s base meaning or the emotional value of having both songs performed by the same voice actor as the character who sings them. 

I will be perfectly honest - I don’t know how casting for dubs works, or how much power voice actors have over who they can audition for. I don’t know anything about this process, or when casting will start for Given (or if it’s already happened). And, of course, if Brandon McInnis is not cast as Mafuyu then I will fully support any and everyone who dubs this show. 

But, I do think this opportunity is worth noting. And if nothing else, may McInnis know that he was my first choice to dub a character I hold close to my heart.  

TL;DR Brandon McInnis would do a damn good job cast as Mafuyu Sato in the Given dub.

okok so a lot of my mutuals asked me for this so here i am to deliver! first things first, imfact are the first kpop idols to ever come in greece for a concert, so that means a lot to me, and i'll treasure the memory forever!

I'LL START WITH HI TOUCH BC WHY THE HECK NOOOT OK SO:

i was the first in my line so when they appeared they were literally a few cm away from me, i waved at them when nobody else did and TAEHO SMILED AT ME AND WAVED BACK LIKE HE LOOKED AT ME N WAVED FJSKFKSKF AND SO DID SANG???? i died 😔😔😔😔

First was Sang. Boy.. hes so buff n broad, his body is rly well built! He looked at me in the eyes and we high fived w both hands and i said 'i love you' and he smiled and said 'me too' fjskjsjfjs :(((( Next was Jian! I WAS KINDA SHOOK BY SANG BC HES MY BIAS WRECKER and i just touched his hands:( but as i was moving on i looked at him straight in the eyes and yelled 'YOURE SO HANDSOME ILY' and he SMILED SO BIG N BEAUTIFUL it was so adorable hfksfjsj🤒 THEN . So there are three groups I stan to the point i think about them 3462789154 times a day: (i.e. watch every day and can pull random factoids about their debut date, birthdays, hometowns, etc.) and those are BTS, EXO and Astro

-BTS i found in 2015 and they are my ult group, Taehyung is my ult bias. So HYYH has a very special place in my heart :”) At first i saw I Need U and was like ‘what on earth is this’ and Youtube offered me ‘HYYH Full Movie’ (I Need U +Prologue+Run and later on + Young Forever but i found them before Young Forever dropped so that was my first comeback) and i cried harder than i ever had before at Taehyung’s drowning scene and i loved how everyone’s characters are so complex and just— yeah im a THEORIST and i RANT on MAIN (also that vid of Taehyung from Boy In Luv era dorkily dancing? confirmed for me he was my ultimate bias from Day One and ‘till forever) you could show me any bts photo and i could tell you what video its from & what they were doing-Astro! I noticed them around Breathless era but by Baby era i was sucked in. The first song i heard was Fireworks and Breathless acoustic version (THE UNDERRATED VERSION) Sanha became my favorite kid in the whole world & guess what,,, i watched the Cicada video,,, all you Arohas out there know what im talking about,,, THAT vid where they are all terrified of a little bug im so sOFT FOR THAT VIDEO (#tag urself im MJ) how can you Not stan after seeing it(also i just want to let it be known I went to their fanmeet and I dabbed at Rocky and he dabbed back and also that i have gummy bear packets given to me from Sanha Eunwoo Rocky and MJ and that Eunwoo and i touched hands when he gave it to me and also that i shook Sanha’s hand okay sorry for that yeeeeee)-EXO okay so exo was probably the first kpop group i listened to the Most, i COULDNT pick a bias at all but i settled between Chanyeol Xiumin and Baekhyun but eventually Xiumin claimed that bias spot because what a cute baozi he’s like a little kitten whom i wanna cuddle and i cant believe its his Birthday Month… its that time of year where im in denial he’s almost another year again lads (dont ask for my favorite song because i Cannot Deliver)

-Twice alrighty Twice really SHOULD be up there with bts/astro/exo, I knew Twice when Cheer Up released but I didn’t become a fan until Knock Knock. Technically I started becoming a Once when TT dropped, that’s when i decided to be a Once but i didn’t learn the members until after Knock Knock. My first comeback was Signal and boy did i love that era @ signal haters its a bop so fite me i even learned the choreo and everything. catch me trying to learn Likey’s choreo and looking like a Mess. Sana was the member i thought was going to be my bias when i was trying to pick during Knock Knock but Dahyun is my ultimate female bias now.

-Golden Child DAMDADI WAS THE BEST DEBUT I COULDVE HOPED FOR! I lowkey stanned Golden Child before debut actually. If anyone doesn’t know Golden Child google their song Sea, its like that song you wanna listen to in the warmth of the sunlight and just embrace idk its so??? SO!?!?!? I’m currently in a dilemma because i can’t choose my bias, it’s either Donghyun, Sungyoon or Jibeom, but i think those three are my top of the Golcha bias list, in that exact order

Just to clarify though, i listen to ALL groups to the majority of Kpop!! This is just a list of groups i really really like both musically and personally, but  music-wise I listen to… everyone i know everyone. i’ve been apart of kpop for 3 years so these are the just groups that have stood out to me The Most™

so. it’s been three days and i can’t stop thinking about the episode. in that sense they must’ve made something correctly bc wow, i literally can’t get it out of my head. i still enjoy the show for what it is, it’s supposed to be entertainment and fun, not everything has to be a well-written fantasy novel i guess. but i just cant stop thinking about it, trying to understand the reasoning behind what we just saw, and i just end up more confused.

i don’t want to shit on the episode bc they got many things right. it was beautifully directed, the score was phenomenal, i mean production-wise, it’s top-notch, it shows how far tv has come, those sequences with the dragons could rival any blockbuster, the cgi was incredible, and we had some pretty chilling shots (e.g. the dothraki, when the trench was light up, the dragons) and the whole battle was cool. i was biting my nails and sweating, they really know how to build up dread. but the story simply didn’t match the episode. and the worst part is that they had it all to make it right, but they didn’t. you can still have arya kill the nk, just make it make sense. and they had everything to make it make sense, just explain to us the story of the stark family. in the novels, it’s been heavily implied that the starks have something to do directly with the WW, they could easily twist that into some sort of magical blood thingy that states that only a stark could defeat the AOTD, the NK himself, and that’s why he survived being burned by drogon. it was right theeeereeee and no one would complain cause everybody and their grandmas love the starks, we’d easily accept that there’s something special in their heritage, just like the targaryens. hell, the outrage isn’t even about arya killing him, she’s a beloved character and fan-favorite, it’s about the overall execution of the quote unquote story. i appreciate what they tried to do, subverting the trope of the chosen one, but wouldn’t it have been nice to have jon fight the NK? make him lose and at the last second arya saves him, the endgame is the same, but that way they delivered what they had been teasing since hardhome.

i guess if you try really hard you can accept it, and there’s a certain appeal into what they made, if jon rly was the cosen one maybe the nk didn’t want to risk it bc maybe jon could win and that’s why he raised all the wights, and then he was walking all smug to finally kill bran but he made the mistake of being too confident and that’s when arya gets him. it can work if you don’t think about technicalities too much, but it’s incredibly frustrating to think that they could’ve made the same thing with just a few tweaks here and there that would make it more satisfying.

also, and i think this is the biggest mistake, why is everyone still alive? can someone explain to me how brienne, jaime and pod survived half the episode being against a wall while attacked by like 500 zombies at a time? jaime i already knew he had the biggest plot armor bc cersei, but pod? don’t tell me they couldn’t kill him w/o hindering the story. can u imagine him dying saving brienne? the emotional impact that would have? if you aren’t going to kill them off, don’t show them to us in situations where it was humanly impossible to make it out alive. also SAM. jfc that dude was- i don’t even have words, he was swimming in a pool of wights, all while crying, how is he still alive? i don’t think he adds a lot to the KL plot does he? tormund and gendry were in a mountain of wights, one of them should’ve died and we know it. 

these writers were never afraid to do so, they killed off like 7 main-ish characters (including fan favorite margaery tyrell) in the explosion of the sept of baelor, and it payed off! i’m not going to get into the red wedding bc that was martin’s work not d&d’s.

and, if this was going to be the end of the nk’s plot, they could’ve been ballsy and let jon or dany die. the only way i could’ve accepted dany dying was sacrificing herself in the war for the dawn. that’s it. buuut we all know they are both still alive so that they can fight over the iron throne and i just. jeez. don’t get me wrong i love the game of thrones, i would gladly remove the magic element from the novels/show and i would love them even more (the political intrigue is what drew me into the novels in the first place), but does it make sense to have them fighting for a throne that jon obviously doesn’t want and dany obviously does? I KNOW that there will be more players involved, sansa will probably try to get in jon’s head to make him reclaim his right to the throne, but ultimately, these characters have already been built up. we know what they stand for. they can’t aim to have a plotline that’s basically the dance of the dragons when one of the dragons clearly just wants to nap and retire.

ofc we have cersei, and that actually gets me pretty pumped, i feel like she’s been the most consistent and well written character throughout the show, and having her as the main bad isn’t a disappointment to me, but i’m biased bc i really enjoy her character so there’s that (i actually prefer her show counterpart, martin did her dirty in some chapters of affc). however, there’s a big issue w her storyline. euron. if that dude takes out more main characters than the nk i’m going to riot. they’ve completely failed to establish him as a real threat, no one gives a shit about him and it’d be a let down if he kills characters that we have come to care about. not because they shouldn’t die (they should be dead already) but because it’s not earned at all. just imagine euron, a character introduced in season 6 that hasn’t really evolved at all (he’s the most one-dimensional character in the show), that no one gives a shit about and whose purpose in the story i still can’t grasp, killing someone like jaime or tormund or brienne. what a waste would that be. and ik this is my own imagination but the actor did say his character did a lot of “cool stuf” in the season and so far he’s done nothing so i’m afraid ladies!!! they really shoul have developed him more if they intended for cersei to be the final boss, bc i have no clue what he wants or what he stands for, so if any character that has had any sort of impact in the overall story dies by his dirty hands i WILL RIOT. im excited for cersei, so i really hope the pirate is just an accesory in the story and not fundamental to the plot.

another point that bothers me is lf’s death. i know it happened last season, and when it happened i was fine with it bc it supposedly represented the end of the game of thrones and how everyone was now focused on survival. but if this was the endgame all along, why kill him off? had we have him backing up sansa who will surely back up jon and varys backing up dany, we could have had an interesting thing there. had that been the case, the dance of the dragons would look wayyyy more interesting wouldn’t it? because the characters we have left have witnessed death itself, they survived the literal apocalypse, and now they’re supposed to turn on each other? idk man, it seems hollow to me. i guess they could pull it off, but the writing would have to be spectacular in order for them to do so. sansa’s going to have to be one of the main main main players, since she’s the only one with clear motives to betray dany. i guess tyrion could be a wildcard but eh im not too excited abt that, it would be a disservice to his character imo.

and well this has become way longer than i intended, i guess im just worried about how my favorite show of all time will end. there’s so many great things they could still do, i just hope they deliver something that lives up to seven amazing seasons of compelling characters. now that they got rid of the AOTD, they really could focus in human conflict, which they’ve done beautifully in the past, so i believe not everything is lost. we’ll just have to wait and see.

Belle: Belle Marie Beauton – belle bc it means “beauty” and also, tech, her mom’s name was charisse which means “grace” and she was like into a #theme. marie bc it sounded nice, is also probably maurice’s mom.

Simba: Onyango Simba Lyons – onyango bc it means “born in the morning” and simba because it means “lion/warrior”. 

Toulouse: Toulouse Henri Bonfamille – why did ber get hector’s name as his middle name and not lou? /waves hand lou was named after the artiste of course! tres bien. 

Bambi: Bambino Daryl Basurto – bambino is basically like “my little one”, it’s an affectionate italian term tho it’s also used in other parts of europe. daryl means “deer” sooo his full name lowkey translates to “little deer of the forest”

Perdita: Perdita Mariel Faye – all of perdy and her sibs are named after shakespeare characters bc her mom is #obsessed. edmund, perdita, rosaline, and ophelia. perdy was named after her mother’s first role on broadway. mariel is jewish – it is a variant of mary, which means “wished-for child/bitter” soo

Sweet: Joshua Strongbear Sweet – named joshua because his parents liked it. his middle name used to be quietcub, but after he came back from his spirit quest it became strongbear after the animal that guided him. (also look i looked up if spirit quests were still a thing in the tribe sweet comes from and they ARE so don’t @ me pls)

Maui: Maru Akalana – he doesn’t have a middle name. maru means “correct” apparently, but in the original myths of maui maru is one of the names of maui’s brothers. (or it is his name when he is human before he gets abandoned i foRGet it’s been a hot minute)

Hercules: Hercules Odysseus Persaud – herc doesn’t know where his first name came from, only that his birth mother gave it to him. he was named after two greek heroes, ofc cuz his mom is a big nerd.

Attina: Attina Morgan Triton – attina is a derivative of athena and morgan means “sea chief” or “sea defender” and since she would be in line for the “crown” so to speak, it made sense.

Akela: Akela of the Seeonee Wolf Pack – seeonee is the name taken from the area where the pack sort of officially “formed” and akela means LONELY LMFAO i just looked it up that’s hilarious.

Peach: Peach Blossom Clearwater – literally constructed her name. she just liked the idea of peach blossom–and she made her fake mom have a flower name too. and clearwater she straight up stole from harry potter.

Belle: well, belle never really knew her mother and her relationship with her father is estranged.

Simba: big ole momma’s boy. he loves his mom, though their relationship is a little tense these days. loved his dad a lot, his Biggest Hero, but his dad also put a lot of pressure on him and basically brainwashed him oops.

Toulouse: loves his mummy, tho he has a deep seated resentment towards her that is just now coming to light, but general he is like #mustprotect. had an extremely contentious relationship with his father as a child, the best thing for their relationship was not living together lol. lou can tolerate his father for short periods of time and even gets along w him 90% of the time, but he has a deep seated resentment towards him too lmao

Bambi: ughhhhhhhh he loved his mommmmm his mom was his best friend they did everything together. they were never apart. esp bc he was homeschooled a good bit and he was sick. she doted on him and i cry. he is still getting to know his dad but he loves him.

Perdita: really contentious relationship w mom. she was verbally abusive and neglectful, held perdy to a hire standard than her sisters. when perdy rebels abigail just like cuts her off, punishes her in the worst ways. made comments about her weight/clothing/etc. total daddy’s girl tho, she loves her daddy.

Sweet: momma’s boy. he tends to shut her out a lot tho bc he knows things in his life would hurt her and he wants to protect her from that. didn’t really know his father but he treasures the memories he did have.

Maui: dad was verbally/physically abusive. real Macho Man–which obviously made him kind of a dick. but maui’s mom is the sweetest ugh i love kai.

Hercules: loved both his parents BUNCHES AND BUNCHES but then he found out that they lied to him for 22 years and he is still reeling from the betrayal.

Attina: athena was her best friend. she told her mom everything and wanted to be just like her when she grew up! was obviously devastated when athena died. loves her daddy, but does think he needs to chill out some.

Akela: hates them.

Peach: never knew them and never will (spoiler alert: they’re dead.)

Belle: Philippe! fun fact: had another horse named Royale when she was a child, but her father sold him for cash before he left. now she has: vincent the cat, philippe, and shuck! she isn’t a huge animal fan, but she likes them well enough. doesn’t go out of her way.

Simba: his mum had a persian named guinevere growing up. she was a bitch. simba and her did not get along. esp cuz simba was a handsy child lol. he begged and begged for a dog for his entire childhood, but never had one. has two beautiful goldens now–bowie and simone– and they are his literal children. loves all animals–except cats, snakes, and spiders, those are the devil’s creatures.

Toulouse: never had a pet growing up. marie has dauphine now and he’s kinda helping coparent simone. tbh should get a dog. lou ADORES animals.

Bambi: lol

Sweet: never had pets, doesn’t have time, likes them well enough

Perdita: didn’t have any pets growing up. doesn’t really like animals they’re dirty. viola has made her change her mind somewhat.

Belle: all the food she ate in bournemouth was?? so good??

Belle: yes but it is VERY hard to trigger it. and she like??? throws things or hits u if she is really mad. she’s not gonna like punch you in the face but she’ll shove or pinch. if she yells it’s all like teary and voice cracking and pathetic. 

Simba: yes–and it’s easily triggered haha. when he’s angry he gets loud. can throw something down if he is holding it (like a dish in the sink or something) but he isn’t really physical w his anger–he’s v conscious of that fact that he is like a big bloke and that could be rly scary and his anger is scary enough. but if u really piss him off his anger can be p cold.

Toulouse: cold and scathing. lou is a master of converting his anger into like the smallest space possible, which is why he’s so good at just delivering cold, cutting lines designed to just destroy you. his father had like Big Loud anger and lou refuses to be like that. 

Bambi: doesn’t really have a temper, like–at all

Perdita: screaming/yelling/throwing/hitting–throws a tantrum when she is really pissed off.

Sweet: he has a temper but it is rarely seen. he will get Loud and Angry though. but it never lasts long. he gets more annoyed than angry.

Maui: literally like?? never gets angry–too chill.

Hercules: cries. lmao. if he is angry he just cries and like “why would u do that” sniff sniff puppy eyes

Akela: cold and level-headed anger

Peach: rarely gets angry–and if she does she’ll smile to your face and then fuck you up behind your back.

Belle: rn it’s shit, she barely catches a few hours. when she was sleeping reguarly she gets a good 6-7 hours. doesn’t have trouble falling asleep unless she’s trying to solve a problem. has a lumpy old mattress tbh. also she does snore a lil bit but like cute snores and only when she’s sleeping really deeply. also she normally wears like ratty tees and silky or sofie pajama shorts – in the winter like sweaters and fleece pants bc she gets cold, tho not as much of a problem now lol

Simba: sleeps in the nude. can fall asleep in .5 seconds. wakes up intermittently from nightmares–usually exacerbated by stress. wakes up at sunrise naturally almost every morning. gets like 4-5 hours usually and cat naps. idk his mattress is prolly middle ground wow do u think simber argued about their mattress bc i bet ber is a wimpy soft-mattress boi

Toulouse: has a really hard time getting to sleep and staying asleep. a ridiculously light sleeper. wakes up several times in the night. has night terrors. sleeps in, but not that long most mornings. sometimes goes days without sleep if he’s having a manic episode. soft plush mattress w lots of pillows and blankets. wears silky fancy pajamas to bed bc he’s fancy (it’s my hc that he has like adorable pjs that he wears on the lowkey with like fish patterns or something ridiculous little duckies.)

Bambi: can sleep anywhere, would sleep 20+ hours a day if allowed. growing teenage boy. snores (allergies man), will sleep on any mattress. is used to an uncomf one bc his mom couldn’t rly afford a good one.

Perdita: before the babies perdy didn’t have trouble sleeping. would totally sleep in on the weekends and such. her mom would yell at her if she slept too long. now she takes naps throughout the day to survive. hard mattress, tbh. wears fancy pjs

Sweet: sleeps in boxers/t-shirt most of the time. sleeps wherever, whenever, what is a good night’s sleep? he doesn’t know.

Maui: will sleep anywhere. in any position. in any level of undress. sleeps in briefs usually. 

Akela: sleeps in the nude tbh he like barely wears clothes anyway. can sleep a decent amount of time but never for more than like 7 hours.

Peach: a princess. she actually has a lot of trouble getting to sleep but sleeps hard once she is. wears cute pjs. likes a soft mattress. lots of pillows, only one sheet thou.

28. What is their biggest fear? What in general scares them? How do they act when they’re scared?

Belle: being inadequate/being overbearing/annoying/stupid/worthless – she doesn’t get genuinely frightened that much tbh but she’s like a gasp-clutch-at-the-chest overdramatic kind of scared lol she fights through it tho

Simba: not being Good enough, in the sense of like…a good person. he also lowkey doesn’t like the dark. and he gets angry when he’s scared he confronts fear face on.

Toulouse: being pointless/irrelevant–also does not like the dark lowkey prolly sleeps w a night light lmao – he internalizes his fear, but will freeze up when confronted w something scary.
