Ok, considering that this Shadow Generations is coinciding right alongside a game whos plot revolves around time being messed with and timelines being erased etc. I'm wondering if a lot of Shadow's story is going to be "what if" scenarios or like, what the the proceeding game events would have looked like I Black Doom had survived after Shth.

And obviously so much of it is leaning HEAVILY into the "I can be your angle....or yuor devil" thing, which I think is great and so fun, but I do think that a lot of it is going to be Black Doom tempting shadow with all of this incredible power, but ALSO I think he's going to, or is slowly possessing Shadow, Venom style, where Shadow isn't going to be in control of himself at some point, and it's going to be really scary.

And I think that's when Shadow's gonna have to chose what he really wants, and what source of power he really wants to choose, almost like a tug of war between the immediate, satiating and insanely destructive power of Black Doom, or the power that chaos energy is and has to offer.

And then of course my angst brain kicks in, and I could also see it being a mental battle of Shadow choosing to become to monster he maybe thinks himself to be... or the protector he was made to be... or like what he chose in 06... to be neither, and become the person he wants to be.

Positive thing: I had good food at the festival, and found some Filipino sticky rice.

There's this sticky rice my mom would make and I'd never seen it made in the US outside from homemade, so I was very delightfully surprised to find it at the Lunar New Year Festival.

The lady threw in an extra one for me once I told her my family was also from Mindanao. She was so nice.

The other food was also really good. I love public events like this.

Besides that I was really exhausted after today. My roommate came along and I was trying very hard to not make it a big deal and be cordial, but he has gotten so skittish around me that I couldn't help but feel on edge too. I know he's also in a pretty tough position himself in terms of his relations with the other roommate and me, but could we just, like, chill for a second.

Sigh. I know it'll get better and smooth out eventually but I hate feeling like I made the wrong choice with moving in together. Maybe I should've just lived by myself or something. But it's too late for that now.

ok while im here, another thing i often think about: when it comes to others, boat has two sides. he's super sweet and genuinely caring, but sometimes he decides to be a chaotic asshole.

for example, imagine he wakes you up in the morning. i feel this scenario could go one of two ways:

1: he gently nudges you awake and quietly says "good morning it is time to wake up :)"

2: he VIOLENTLY shakes you yelling "WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP" causing as much of a disturbance as he can

so someone in the comments of WBWH asked what a/b/o designations the other BCS characters are in my fic universe, and I think I gotta answer! under a cut just in case you don't want spoilers (though idk yet exactly which of these other characters will appear in the story proper, so don't get your hopes up, lol)

fun for worldbuilding anyway! subject to change if I find something else that works better later on. let's dive in:

Gus - omega. and a bit of a complex situation! he came to the cartel initially as an open omega, and Max was his bonded alpha partner. Hector almost killed HIM instead of Max, but got A Look from Eladio and switched it up at the last second, realizing that Eladio would rather have a heartbroken omega to control than an enraged mourning alpha. (bad decision, since Max probably would've turned out less ruthless.)

he's openly omega in his civilian persona, but alpha in his cartel one. so, most people who know him assume he's an alpha pretending to be an omega for his cover, when really he's an omega pretending to be an alpha pretending to be an omega... inception! does that even make any sense?

Victor and Tyrus - alphas, btw.

Mike - alpha, but he pretends to be a beta. does anyone in this universe own what they are? anyway... Mike dislikes the alpha posturing bullshit, always has. he was open about it when he was a cop, but after moving to Albuquerque, decided to get a fresh start as a mild-mannered beta parking lot attendant. they tell Kaylee it's not something you should normally lie about (since she knew him from before he moved), but sometimes pop pops want to keep things private. she has no trouble keeping the secret.

Kim - alpha. she doesn't often show it when she's not with Jimmy, though. she's been browbeaten into putting up with people's shit her whole life, and as a result, she feels insecure about being openly alpha. when she gets into public defense, she downplays it even more, thinking it'll help put her clients at ease. dislikes the aggressive alpha lawyer stereotype.

Jimmy - omega. but he's never let that stop him, despite the aforementioned "lawyers are/should be alphas" stereotyping. he's the omegaverse equivalent of what we'd know as nonbinary: doesn't really care about designations one way or the other, and will pretend to be anything if it serves his purposes (real-world equivalent being akin to my gender, "whatever's funniest for the bit"). if it helps him scam someone, he can be your angle or yuor devil alpha or your omega.

as Saul Goodman, he markets himself as "Better Call Saul - the omega that KNOWS how to FIGHT for your RIGHTS! hi, I'm Saul Goodman, and I know a thing or two about being OPPRESSED! about having THE MAN say you're not WORTH DEFENDING! well, I believe that every alpha, beta, and omega in this country has rights..." etc. etc.

Howard - beta. considered a nepo baby because of this. ol' Howard couldn't alpha his way to the top, so he had to have his father hire him, or at least, that's what they say. he doesn't pretend to be something he's not, though. he's not ashamed of who he is, and his clients and coworkers (more or less) respect him for that, if nothing else.

Chuck - alpha. the picture of the alpha attorney stereotype in his prime. Jimmy used to resent him for "stealing all the alpha genes outta mom's womb," but after Chuck telling him about 400 times that the father's sperm are what determines the sex of the baby, he gave it up and got over it. the fact that he's not "living up to his gender" after getting sick weighs on him heavily. toxic alphalinity!

Domingo/Krazy-8 - beta. by the BrBa timeline, he'll have switched to masquerading as an alpha.

and not all of the Salamancas may be as they seem... :)

Like kokichi's jesterism clowncore energy is not talked about enough in this fandom, he's not just a lying troll, he can also be a corny little canned-bit filled jokester! He can be your angle! Or yuor devil! But he and Kaede give off such an "annoying little brother"/"exhausted oldest sister" vibe in pointy objects it never fails to make me laugh and also feel feelings!

Also ngl writing my lil (literally >2k) review gave me the energy to do my writing assignment so thank you for indirectly but also directly contributing to me not failing my class LMFAO

hi hello!! first of all thank u again for ur very sweet comments i keep rereading them . actively working on the next chapter and i reread them like an hour ago <3 also you are so me re: the writing thing literally i am writing this long ass response out as a warm up to getting started on the chapter again I SEE U. solidarity u got this class

as always below the cut because i like to yap (no spoilers butttttttt call it a small hint of what's to come next chapter)

ANYWAY !!! im glad people like that choice <3 his general silliness tends to get lost in canon in the midst of such a heavy fraught situation (where his dumbass is instigating fights constantly......) and so i feel it more natural to have it bleed into him in pointy objects you know? his backpack also offers just unreal opportunities for clownery and i can't help myself. i have issues with a lot of canon/fanon portrayals of kokichi so with him (as i do miu, and kiyo, and kaito, etc) i like to do the classic mogul move yoink & twist. i take character that needs fixer-uppering, mash 'em around like playdoh, and make them mostly the same but......better in my humble opinion. i feel like i do that pretty well with kokichi, and hearing those choices are appreciated makes me very happy <3

in that vein the kaede/kokichi dynamic is SOOOO important its one of my favorites ive worked into pointy objects i think. justice for my real protag kaede BUT her biting the dust so early both robbed canon content of what a friendship between them could look like. but it also gives me LOTS of room to pick up their barbie dolls and make them have good moments together. speaking of pointy objects canon, they arrived at camp within about a year of each other, before a lot of the other mainstay demigods began living there full time. gonta, miu, kaede, maki, and kokichi spent a lot of time as the only ones at camp; kids like kirumi/tenko/himiko/angie/kiyo are all summer-only, and full-timers ryoma, kaito, and kiibo came later (ages 14, 16, and within a few months of sonia giving them a soul [roughly the same stretch of time as ryoma's arrival], respectively).

all that lore TO say: kaede and kokichi grew up together in a lot of really important ways, and the dynamic that developed over the years very much is that exhausted older sister/exhausting little brother who are fiercely and kind of unexpectedly protective over one another. i could go on about all of the early full-time campers' dynamics because there's a lot within those five especially that i've like. developed in my brain? but havent fit into the 170k words 💀 the mind palace of spiderwebbing character relationships is very vast for how much has actually made it into the fic.....but wink wonk we WILL see a taste of it this next chapter

and finally, re edits: i did my one BIG edit fest back in may, and since then there haven't been any major changes. that said, i do reread the prior chapters quite often (checking details to make sure new writing doesn't have any discrepancies, getting myself back in the headspace to write shuuichi's voice, etc) and do occasionally find typos or phrasing or sentence flow i like changed, so i do fix those as i see them. that said, i DO know what you're talking about with chapter 3; that was a chapter i did pretty majorly redo in may, and there was definitely some redundant word use and odd sentence structure i went back and corrected. but i haven't made any changes that drastically alter the contents of the story; not more so than i did back in may, at least!

I want to make an appreciation post for Monkey my best friend Monkey!!!!!!

@fleur-marigold got him for me last year and he has become completely irreplaceable :' )))) he is soft, cheeky, has a mischievious trickster spirit (a bit terrifying at times) and lives a life of his own! he only talks in monkey noises but prefers ominous threatening silences :) he is my best friend and always there to hug through a bad scary trauma time!

he likes to get into places and climb up somewhere high! he would often join us on walks when i was visiting Fleur in their lil village

he has a very palpable yet vague dynamic with Fleur's sweet baby Lottie

my mom's dog really wants to eat him! also we had to travel in January and he got his own personalized patdown at the airport, which i consider wise! :-) he is clearly an experienced and unrepentant juvenile criminal

a lot of travel & me taking him on every city trip on my backpack bc i couldn't bear to be apart meant his fur got VERY matted, and then the other day i spilled coffee on him which was very dangerous!!!! he cannot be trusted with caffeine!!!! so here he is after a nice bath & brush as per @/jellycatstuffies instructions.... soft and fluffy and playing innocent

Hi everyone.

I've been laid up recovering from a dental surgery and decided to type a bunch of words replying to an old Tumblr hypno ask meme which can be found here: https://at.tumblr.com/kallie-den/hypnosis-kink-asks/jzca6c5z6ke7 Post split into 5 for formatting reasons. I encourage asks, anon or otherwise. Feel free to probe if any answers intrigue.

With that said... let's go!

1. How long have you been into hypnosis?

Since I was a teenager at least. I used to fantasize about hypnotherapists taking me deep and asking me the truth to questions which were too emotionally complex for me to untangle myself. I used to stare out of windows and think of pendulums and grandfather clocks. I got into the hypnosis community when I was about 19 via Yahoo Groups and kinda followed the growth and pilgramage from platform to platform.

I guess I did kind of get the therapist honesty thing happen to me one time, but that's another story and you'll have to ask for it specifically.

2. Describe your first experience with hypnosis

I remember when I was young I couldn't really move my computer or stretch audio cables, so I needed to make a little cot for myself in the corner of the room. I was awful in my early days. Just listened to files without care for my safety. I just wanted an escape. I bought 45 minute files. I recall one framed like a bank heist with pink mist seeping into the vault of my brain to change things. Predated Inception, even. I was always scared neighbors would hear so I put the speakers on the ground and pulled headphones in and just slept away. I had tons of rituals in the early days, scented candles, boiling baths, anything to try and make it work better. I was AMAZING at visualizing back in those days. I would just get absorbed in the fantasy.

My first interactive partner was an RP buddy on Yahoo Groups who became my first Master. He kept me for about 5 years. I adored him. Did everything he wanted. Even to my own detriment. He was an awful human. I am ashamed I followed him.

My first IRL session was with the woman I married. There was the golden glow of an American sunset pouring through her window as the heaviness of a 12 hour journey across the planet to see her was catching up with me. Her parents were going to drop me off at the hotel to sleep. She thought she could keep me there with her if I fell asleep. She stroked my brow. Cooed for me to just relax. I sank into her lap. It was pure peace and serenity. She tells me she snuck in our first kiss while I was under.

3. Are there any TV shows/movies/books you liked when you were younger that you think got you into hypnosis?

There was like a Magic Block on TV when I was growing up. Masked Magician SECRETS UNVEALED, Sabrina the Teenage Witch and The Hypnotic World of Paul McKenna. I watched every week and was fascinated. I loved magic as a child. But it was all the mystic allure and not real. At least until one of my mum's friends was telling her about being on the McKenna show, a show where they hypnotize people in the audience and do skits. British Broadcast Standards do not allow the airing of any hypnosis so they always made it seem secret and taboo, hidden behind a blurry screen and mum's friend had THE SECRETS. So I listened (she had a Pepsi that night so couldn't go on stage) and was just fascinated. It was not just real magic, it was something that could work on anyone. That real person who was in my life had witnessed it and could have "gone under". I remember my obsession was born in the childish awe of that story.

4. Are you primarily a hypnotist or a subject?

My mood dictates. Some days I am the subbiest little kitten the world has ever seen, capable of flopping and eye rolling and swooning into deep hypnosis at the drop of a hat--- some days I am the most seductive creature alive and will tease and tantalize until my partner is a whimpering wreck pleading for my words.

5. Are you primarily a dom/me or a sub?

I am a collared sub and that does not change, no matter what mood I am in. @ladyruetha owns me. At present I do not own anyone and doubt that will change. But heavens when I make them mine, even for a brief moment, I'm sure they'd refer to me as a stunning domme.

6. What do you love about being hypnotised?

Oh so very much. The sweet tantalizing seductive allure, the way your senses are played with until you succumb to a wave of bliss, relaxation and sometimes euphoria. I love losing myself and finding a safety and disconnect from my own mind, I like finding a powerful connection in my trance partner, I love feeling cared for and controlled and kept. The way that the words stir things within my heart, change me, alter me, guide me. The way I can forget on command or rise on command or have my heart plucked and pulled. It's the extremes with none of the extreme. No danger. Just enticement. Pure and utter enticement.

7. What do you love about hypnotising people?

Yet more still… Ah, I can see each of my words or gestures being absorbed by them. I command their attention, control their perceptions, the push and pull is intoxicating. I love making a partner rigidly stiffen at my signal or collapse into a puddle at a whisper. I like my words causing trembling shudders and longing whimpers. I love feeling the dance and play between two people, building on a scene together and finding brilliant new inspirations and see just how they are received… especially when they decide how it could be improved. Hypnotizing people is so fun.

8. How do you feel when hypnotised?

It's a pleasant dissociation. When I dissociate because of environmental factors there's stress, there's a thin skinned feeling of every sense in my environment threatening my composure, there's a dangerous sense of being adrift and lost and what I would describe as a panic but with no emotion or urgency, to pull myself back and feeling incapable of doing so. It's like being knocked away from the spaceship of my mind and drifting out into the void with no tether, no aid and no way back. Somatically it feels like my brain is being pushed outside of my eyeballs, like my perception is a like charged magnet pressed against my eyeballs and pushing it outside of me. Hypnosis is--- surprisingly--- a lot like that. But it's calm and controlled. The external stressors fade away. There's a tether. There's a rope to my brain. There's a guide with me the entire way whether pre-recorded or live. It feels controlled, peaceful, serene. I ADORE that feeling. More than any feeling in the world.

9. How do you feel when you hypnotise someone else?

Electric. I simply cannot think of a better way to put it. My words are electric, my movements are electric, my energy is electric. I enter a flow state. A mini-trance of my own as I just allow my training and skill to take over and slide into the role of Miss Dawn like it was who I was the whole time and my life outside of these moments was just a playful act of pretend. I just feel in tune with the moment and let it propel me. I adore it.

No but I'm not european descended and grew up in asia so I see blonds irl and go 'huh so ppl really are naturally born like that :/ ' To me 95% of the blond ppl irl all look like they're related so its the same for these three.

- Regis and Rael immediately arguing when they're found so 9th has to channel Roctis' dad energy to disappoint them both,,,

- They're finally starting to grow slightly fond of each other and then 9th stabs Regis and then Rael after Ignes incapacitates him... Mood. Goals.

- I think school teachers would love to be able to do this

Chapter 305 - So why does Lunark bring Kentas along again? Like she wasn't told to. Was it so if she's killed or detained he can return to report it? Or did she just go 'cousin bonding time at the murder island <3'

- Idk Kentas, the smooth talk of humans can be pretty hot coming from the ladies. I for one would love to be smooth talked by Lunark so she can go ahead and learn all she wants.

- Seira, Regis and Rael are gonna need therapy for being experimented on. Not that it'll happen but they need it. And the way that Ignes and 9th just refer to them as samples... love the dehumanisation. Very accurate to how it'd be.

- Rajak and Kentas encountering each other is so funny like if it was me I'd just awkwardly say hi and try to converse about the weather or whether he also got lost on his way to the toilet and complain about how in the past Roctis and 9th are stuck to still do outdoor latrines and I think I'd be successful in fooling whoever I was talking to, be it Kentas or Rajak.

- As much as Roctis loves Ignes, he must really hate her too tbh. Like because of her he betrayed the man he admired since we know unlike the other traitors he had no problem with Lukedonia or Raizel. Because of her he's involved in the Union and doing things that go against his morals. Because of her not listening to him the Union causes trouble for him amd Raizel has arrived. Like ofc it's his own fault for doing the terrible shit but.. He definitely oscillates wildly between hating and blaming her and hating and blaming himself and both for everything. Cos he very obviously is not enjoying anything aside from his daughter being alive. Like he def loves her, I just think he also probably hates her at points even if he'd never express it.

- I want to use Frankenstein as an experiment too but not the way the noblesse characters do it. My experiments would be releasing him in a group of nobles who've never met him and are completely unaware of him and who aren't bad ppl to see how things go and write down notes while saying hmm i see. This would be in the past when he first arrived in Lukedonia so my hypothesis is that he'd piss off the first few groups but would gradually realise my experiment and become more cordial and be nice to them. Basically my experiments are social experiments instead of straight up human experimentation. Are they ethical? Idk probably not but I think I can get a pass compared to what everyone else in noblesse does.

Chapter 306 - Flexing muscles to destroy shirts... One of my least favourite male pastimes.

- Actually neither of you are the greatest scientists on the planet because you both are unethical freaks who do this shit instead of like, solving cancer or all the other diseases out there. Aris and Ignes get a pass because theyre gaslighting gatekeeping girlbossing in a manipulate mansplain manslaughter world but the fuck are you two and Crombel up to?

- Raizel going :/ at Frankenstein laughing maniacally is so funny because he's obviously unapproving. Which is funny because ur Hulda and his brother would do that around him in person with no qualms <3 Have you considered you adopted Frankenstein because you were reminded of ur crazy family? Though tbf in their cases they probably were laughing at like, beating someone in Uno and not murder but I think the two situations are similar enough.

Chapter 307 - If the most terrible human in history was named Frankenstein I'd ask for a refund tbh. Like really? Frankenstein? Couldn't just be like, James the fourth or something? Idk I'd just like to be reborn into a world without extremely unethical human experimentation on the forefront of science.

- I think the real miracle is that Raizel somehow made his way to the labs where the three kidnapped nobles were with no difficulty. Like yeah sure he could feel their auras but that's not gonna help him get through secure doors. Sure he probs just broke em yeah but what about the hallways? He's not the type to break through walls.

- I know some ppl think Raizel was cruel in the way he treated Ignes but I think making her eyes bleed is a fair exchange and punishment for someone experimenting on ppl lol. The only reason I wouldn't advocate for torture or capital punishment is because governments are always imprisoning innocents and also because they'd make it the punishment for petty theft instead of rape and shit. In a utopian world where the only ppl who'd receive such punishment are the worst of the worst which isn't ever gonna be possible? I wouldn't be against it. So like yeah ideologically his actions are against what I think but since it's fictional? Idc. Aside from like the indignation at hurting a hot lady lol.
