I have a handful of projects that I need voiceactors for, but for now I'm focusing on one; Orange Analog, an animated analog horror(?????) series on my Youtube channel that I've already started writing the script for. A coworker of mine a while back said that I should always plan ahead when hiring volunteers even way before I'm done with the story, so I guess there's no harm in doing so? As the big text at the top reads, it's exactly as it says on the tin, but just having people to talk to about my series in general would be nice, too!

Below are the roles I'll be needing:

A calm, casual man with a deep voice. Expect verbalizing a lot of curiosity

Basically just Brendon from Home Movies. He just sounds like him. But it's important to be capable of getting really angry and generally upset

An old man with a lot of spirit and joy, his voice brimming with personality. Also a puppeteer who voiceacts on his own, giving his character a deeper but sillier voice. I'd really prefer if the voiceactor for the puppet and the puppeteer were the same person

Basically the first one again but African American I guess I dunno. It can't be the same voice that'd be confusing but honestly the two characters have similar speech patterns and stuff so

A young transgender woman who's responsible but even happier to be here, very enthusiastic and silly

A quiet man with a deep, monotone voice

My initial screaming thoughts on the Avatar the Last Air Bender live action remake on Netflix. Spoilers for eps 1-4 below, will watch 5-8 later today probably.

The tone is much more mature. The themes are different in a good way - they haven't changed much of what exists in the canon, just shifted focus. Adult side characters are getting more story. Stakes feel higher. Violence! Grittiness!

Firebenders are really fucking evil so they need to balance it with more morally gray/evil earthbenders and more upfront sympathy/development for Iroh and Zuko

This show could be enjoyable to someone who has never seen the cartoon before but it is definitely written for us, those who had our hearts broken by the movie

Sokka is not overtly sexist and honestly I'm okay with it. I like that arc for him in the animated tv show but with the tone of the live action, he couldn't just be funny sexist, he would have to be dark sexist and that just wouldn't be Sokka. Plus I like how they focus more on Sokka's sense of duty because it creates a good foil for Aang.

I was never really a big Sokka/Suki shipper but DAMN.

Kevin Conroy, had been a talented Voiceactor and his Role as Mer-Man from Masters of the Universe: Revelation (& Hordak from the He-Man Core/CGI Series) had been Great. But since the former Voiceactor of Batman died last Year, will Mer-Man still Appear in Masters of the Universe: Revolution or is this Character voiced by another TV or Movieactor like Alan Tudyk or David Tennant or John Mulaney !?

I don't believe Kevin Smith's team or the CGI show's team have released an official statement yet, so I do not know.

I don't think Tennant or Mulaney have the right range to play wither Mer-Man or Hordak, so if those three are the only choices you're imagining it might end up being Alan Tudyk.

Personally, I would prefer to see George Takei take over Revolution's Mer-Man. I think he did a fantastic job with the character in Core/CGI and he would be an absolute perfect fit to reprise the same character in Revolution. It would also bring some small bit of consistency to the franchise. (Plus, George Takei is just a fantastic person in general and more people need to know his name.)

As for Hordak, my ideal pick for him has always been, and will always be Keith David. Most recently, Keith played the dad in Nope, his most famous role was Doctor Facilier in Disney's Princess and the Frog. But I will always know him and love him as Goliath from Gargoyles. Keith David needs to be Hordak.

But that's just my opinion. Keston John also did a fantastic job with Hordak in SPOP and I would also enjoy it if he reprised the role in Core/CGI.

To you I'm sure Twilight Sparkle is just a cartoon character you think is really hot, so I imagine you wouldn't think anything of having your friends draw sexually explicit art of her as birthday gifts for you. And hey, I think she's really attractive too so I get where you're coming from there. I often go on e621.net and Rule34.Paheal to see what new erotic art people have drawn of her. But to me she's more than a cartoon character who's sexually attractive, she's my fiance who I love with all my heart and soon to be my wife. So it's been bothering me lately every time I go on those sites and see a dozen or so pieces of art people have drawn depicting my girl in various sexual situations with the same person over and over, and that person happens to be you.

Don't get me wrong here though, this isn't a jealousy thing. I'm very secure in my relationship. I know without question that Twilight is just as faithful to me as I am to her, she's actually sitting on the couch next to me reading while I type this. She's very real to me and I know she's not sneaking out in the middle of the night to go have kinky sex with some famous artist. And I do respect your talent as an artist and an artist's creative freedom to draw whatever they want, that's cool. What bothers me is that in all these birthday images you've been getting Twilight is always depicted as if she was your sexual plaything, drawn wearing a collar with your name on it or with a speech bubble saying something that would somehow suggest she was your property. And I know quite well that Twilight Sparkle is not your plaything nor your property, she's my fiance. So that bugs me a bit. What I find really loathsome though is your pension for degrading my partner in both your art and the fan art you've been receiving lately. Twiley is a sweet and fairly vanilla little mare who I treat with the utmost love and respect, and she definitely does not deserve to be portrayed as some kind of sexual slave who likes being dressed up in sleazy attire, wearing a collar, getting sodomized, and having her face ejaculated on. She's not into that kinda stuff and the fact that there's someone out there in the world such as yourself who would desire to treat Twilight that way, and have his friends support and validate his desires to demean and mistreat my partner by drawing pictures of him doing so, really does bother me. I've started watching Ya Çok Seversen and actually I like it a lot.

I'm like episode and half in but I genuinely like it and it's much better than expected. The vibe of the series is very unique and I like it way more than I thought I would.

The main couple actually have good chemistry, it's not the usual wow-type of chemistry but they just fit together. I would say that neither Kerem nor Hafsanur are the like ... how to put it.... primarily only nice faces with the typical wow-chemistry. But actually that makes them good pair and I would never see that coming but it's true.

I especially like that we know bits of their life traumas (if i can call it like that) that shaped them to the people they are. Special shout-out and kudos for ML dealing with childhood traumas and PTSD and anxiety from ep 1. It gives the character depth and Kerem does great job playing it and I just really wanna hug Ateş and tell him I'm sorry for his awful childhood and that everything will be alright. I knew Kerem from Sen Çal Kapımı so I was happy to see him again.

I was super sceptical about the FL being marriage cheat but her reasoning (also connected to childhood traumas we don't know that much about) right in the beginning was super important to make me... ehm... not hate the character lol.

I didn't watch it during summer because in summer i need feel good romcom that's actually funny (I was watching Yaz Şarkısı), but now I'm okay with more heavy topics (given the fact I'm currently watching Marry My Husband).

Another kudos for the sunny mediterranean vibe of the house, horses (Kerem appears to do good with horses, he was with them even in SÇK) and Ateş's dope BMW i8 (does Kerem have some contract with BMW? lol he was driving BMW also in SÇK).

I'm watching dubbed so it's the perfect piece of media to watch while eating something because i don't need to keep my eyes on the screen all the time reading subtitles lol. The dubbing is great as always but I'm disappointed Kerem has different voiceactor than in SÇK (that was broadcasted on different channel though) but the voice suits him nicely fortunately so that's alright.

yeah, like i really enjoy how unapologetically villainous/antagonistic/narcissistic/psychopathic they made Alastor but I'm also kinda surprised by it bcos in all the "promo material" I've seen he was portrayed way more positively. There are several things that I can think of off the top of my head that came out before the show and all of them were way more focused on Alastor's sympathetic side.

The pilot has him cheer up Charlie through his song and dance number. The comic showed him being lonely and saving some defenseless sinner. The hunicast streams had the cast of the pilot joke around and Alastor's voiceactor would say dad jokes. There was in general plenty of additional info from streams about all character (some of which at this point may be irrelevant) including that Charlie and Alastor share a love for dad jokes which is even referenced in the dad beat dad song even tho we never actually see them joke around. I wanna say that every Vivziepop art I've seen of HH characters together has Charlie and Alastor standing next to each other or smiling at each other or smth.

I'm all for this wicked portrayal of Alastor right now cos it'd make for a crazy interesting arc to have him change with time but the 'change' part is a must imo. Like if he's not humanized at least a little by the end of the story I'll be kinda disappointed cos once Alastor starts doing fucked up shit it won't be enough for him to be entertaining to watch to keep me interested, I need a reason to be emotionally invested in him.

Before You Say 'He did lean away', or 'She wasnt actually touching him, her hand was just near him', Take A Look At This!!

Look closely at how he moves when she splits them up. He doesn't lean away, she SHOVED him. She actively MOVED him. That wasn't an 'oh she's making contact with me, guess I should lean away', it was a 'well she's shoving me now, I'll shut up for a minute'.

Which also proves she WAS touching him. She couldn't have shoved him if she wasn't making contact.

He didn't lean away from it, he didn't retaliate. The ONLY people he lets touch him are people he cares for. And not only did she put her hand on his shoulder, she actively pushed him back, and he showed no sign of discomfort towards it. So why am I screaming about this?

Because he DOES care! It proves he cares for her. Don't get me wrong, I still think saying he's her 'dad' is a bit of a strech, but he does care enough to let her touch him. He doesn't dislike or even have a neutral opinion on her. She's his friend, even if just a little bit.

My favecharacter is toya, followed closely by rui behind. Fave pjsk song is rad dogs or crazy... I cant choose. Ive been into hot pink lately🎫. I have three gremlins(cats.) My dream job is to be a voiceactor(also a writer but moreso va) right now the weather is pretty cool, but i usually have two summers (spring being as hot as a normal summer lol) i have one older sister.

Hot pink is a really nice color, I enjoy it too! However I mostly like every shade of purple and blue since it gives me a calming feeling ehe 𝅘𝅥𝅮

I don't really have any pets, since my mom and grandparents don't like animals around the house. However I did really want to have a pet bunny or cat!! Though I doubt I'll get one in future since I don't take care of myself well xD

As for dream job.. I don't really have one, but I do need to pick a course since I'm graduating this year. However I want to do like streaming/voiceacting as a side job. first off, i'm so happy for you and your boyfriend, it's amazing that you have each other 🖤🖤🖤

second, the ending of carmen sandiego could be so so much better. and i'm not even talking about ships or whatever, i don't care about that. but the found family trope? what, i'm supposed to believe that carmen left her new family that she created herself to live with a woman who is essentially a stranger to her?? i doesn't matter that it was her mother, it doesn't. what matters is that carmen would never abandon zack and ivy and shadowsan and player. and yes, we see that she still talks to player but the rest? we don't even know if it was her on that rooftop (it is most likely but taking into account the earlier 'everyone can be carmen sandiego' ://) so we don't know if she actually still has any contact with her family and julia and chase (who i believe actually count as her friends. not family but friends). i absolutely hate that ending and i wish it was different. i crave found family (she-ra is good, stan she-ra) because i myself need it and i don't accept the ending of carmen sandiego 🖤

Imma rant for a sec- first off- where the hell did The Troll go?????? He was played up to be this huge guy last season and they almost gave us a Troll vs Player showdown but then it didn't happen and I was sure it was gonna come into play this season, but nope- instead player was kinda- surprisingly absent, like I mean we saw him at school a lot, but I really would've thought that that plot would've given us more insight into his character? I mean it's probably just because of his voiceactor, but he is played up to be the second main character after Carmen, yet he's the one character we know the least of, I mean- we don't even know his name, like- and him and Carmen's friendship seemed oddly "professional" this season and not as much of a friendship as usual. They had their moments, but barely and when they finally meet they don't even hug? Not that ppl have to hug, but- Carmen is very much a hugger and idk, their relationship this season just felt very flat and it was honestly really sad, like- I had expected Player meeting the team in person to be a bigger thing, but it was rather underwhelming.

Then the whole team seems to sorta- not be doing much while Carm is with VILE and idk it's all very very rushed in a not satisfying way. Zac and Ivy have a short scene where they're discussing the opportunity to start racing again, only to become... spies???

Carmen couldn't wait however long Zac and Ivy's drive was before taking off?????? Like one thing is that she's leaving, but she doesn't even say goodbye to these people who supposedly mean everything to her. Her family.

And honestly, I understand Carmen wanting to leave being Carmen Sandiego behind. Having her mind altered like it was must've been traumatizing, tho the show certainly doesnt play into it that much since it's kinda rushed, but seemingly she comes back to it anyways so uh-? And she couldn't even stay in contact with Zac and Ivy at the very least??? She lived with them-

Gray had an amazing character arc, but it didn't feel very satisfying because him and Carmen never got closure and I think that's really the biggest problem in the finale overall. There's absolutely no closure for anything.

We've waited a whole show for Carmen to find her family only to never even get so see the outcome of that and on top of that we've spent a whole show seeing Carmen find her own family only to leave it all behind.

Even the scene with Player sitting in the cafe they had been in together and saying he'd always be there didn't feel like closure but rather sad. The empty seat sorta indicated him somewhat being without her and missing her.

She never got closure with Jules or Chase either. Chase got his closure that she's the good guy, but it was sorta implied/kept off screen in the way that we never got to see the aftermath besides when we all knew she had been turned villain, but he didn't.

Overall, a finale is supposed to somehow wrap everything up and give closure, but this did the opposite and also decided to favor blood family over found family. Tbh I was expecting them to pull a "her mom is dead" card and have Carmen realize she already had the family she needed, but nope. Blood wins.

I've heard rumours they're making a movie and cant help but wonder if that's why they kept it so open ended, but there are ways to do that without it being unsatisfying. You have to somehow wrap up the lose ends and idk. Emotionally the show didn't manage to do that
