(yandere! second prince x gn! royalty reader) (inspired by frozen, yk the movie with elsa ya)
"y/n!"
the second prince called out, his lips quirking up into a shaky smile as the love of his life approached.
he had been cursed by his older brother, the king of the empire. it all happened so fast. he went to find his runaway sibling and when he finally found him... he didn't even know what happened. one second he was fine then the next he was on the floor, clutching his chest as his friend carried him out of his older sibling's ice castle.
apparently he needed a true love's kiss to break the curse that his older sibling placed on his heart. and he knew just who to help him break that curse.
"my darling, are you alright?"
heaven.
your voice was like salvation to him. he swears he could feel his heart thawing with just the sound of your voice.
"I'm alright now that you're here..."
the younger prince trembles as he makes himself comfortable in your grip. ah... you're so caring... so charming... he's so glad that you're his one and only.
"y/n, you have to kiss me. that's the only way to break the curse. a true love's kiss."
his hair had already begun turning white, a sign that the curse was progressing to the other parts of his body. if he didn't get that kiss, he might never get to be with you ever again.
he couldn't let that happen.
"really? shall i kiss you then?"
yes! his heart and mind were both screaming at you to just kiss him already. but he only nodded weakly, his cheeks turnung a faint shade of pink as he shut his eyes.
he could feel your warm breath on his lip, your warm and tender touches as you wrapped your arms around him. warm, you were so very warm.
but why weren't you kissing him?
"m-my love?"
he was desperately waiting for that kiss of yours. to feel your soft lips against his, for your passion to bring him back to his original condition.
but it never came.
his eyes fluttered open, his heart shaking as he takes in your expression. what? why were you smiling at him? just hurry up and kiss him already! your love will beeak the curse and you two would be happy together!
"my love can't you kiss-"
"oh darling, if only there was someone out there who loved you."
the second prince swears he feels his whole world stop at your words. even your warm hand caressing his cheek didn't help lessen the shock.
what did you say? no, he had to have misheard, right? how could you not love him?! you said it before-
"haha... funny joke my love... now c-can you kiss me? i feel so cold..."
"mn... yes, i suppose you were an idiot for not realising. you are quite naive unlike your brother."
his eye twitches at your words. out of all the things you had to say... you bring up his brother?
it's always his brother this, his brother that... can't it be him for once?!
"don't bring my brother-"
"you know, i was originally planning on going to him. he's more of my type anyway. but... he saw through me and distanced himself."
you let out a sigh, shaking your head as your hands loosen around the second prince. that's right, you were planning to get engaged to the king for the sake of your own empire, you know? but he instantly rejected you. what a shame.
then you met this...puppy like second prince. he'd do. of course he would, he's not half that bad looking and he's dumb too! he wouldn't suspect a thing!
"you know darling, you should use that brain of yours more."
you click your tongue, shaking your head before releasing your hold on the second prince. it's time to go take over this empire. the king was gone and the second in line was about to die. the whole enpire needed someone to support them and who else but you?
"no."
unfortunately, your plans were shattered as the second prince suddenly tugged you down, his hands shaky as he crawled on top of you.
what the hell?
you could only stare in silence as the younger prince forced you to remain under him. his eyes were dark with an emotion you've never seen from him before. he was... even panting? what a dog.
"you can't leave me."
was he not listening? you've never loved him-
"no, you have to love me. you said it before, why can't you say it now?"
you roll your eyes at his words, letting out an annoyed sigh as you try to push him off of you.
"don't you get it? those words were just lies. i've never loved you."
silence.
before you knew it, his lips were on yours. his cold lips against your warm ones as he pressed himself up against you.
"you nust love me. don't lie to me. how.. could you not love me?"
he mumbles between kisses, his cheeks flushing red as he geips your wrists, pinning them to the ground. he continues to sit on top of you, his breath mixing with yours.
"hah... we still have... time. I'll make you realise your feelings for me."
he looks down at you, deranged eyes staring into your own confused ones before he goes back to kissing you, his teeth nipping at your lower lip.
"you're the only one for me, y/n. you have to be mine."
he mumbles, voice shaky before he grips your jaw rather tightly.
"love me back."
damn boy! he crazy crazy 🤣

I know it’s no longer ‘cool’ to talk about/critique Frozen, but my friend Cait and I were talking about twist villains and how Hans was a bad example, and how he didn’t even need to be a twist villain for it to still work and yeah no I’m still thinking on it.
Because no, really… why did we need Hans to be a twist villain? Why did he have to actually be playing a long con and be all ‘muahaha, actually I don’t love you.’ We already had the threat of the eternal winter, the fracturing relationship between Elsa and Anna, and if you needed another outside force to be the villain, Duke Weselton was right there.
You wouldn’t even need to change much, really.
Instead, have it so Hans and Anna do kiss… and nothing happens. They’re both shocked and upset - not by the implications, those don’t hit them yet, but because they had an idea on how to save her, and it failed. Meanwhile, Duke Weselton is shit-stirring and going after Elsa.
You bring Olaf in at some point, and while he and Hans are trying to keep Anna warm, it comes out that maybe it didn’t work because Anna doesn’t love Hans. And, similarly, Hans doesn’t really love Anna - their ‘true love’ was based on infatuation after knowing each other for less than one night, while they mostly just goofed off and had fun, and neither of them actually know much of anything about the other.
(It wouldn’t just be Anna not knowing anything about Hans, you make it so Hans doesn’t know much about Anna either. Neither of them know each other’s favorite foods or colors or best friends or bad habits.)
Scene keeps going til it comes out that the one Anna really loves now is Kristoff.
And yeah this still raises a problem in that Anna and Kristoff didn’t know each other that long either, but it’s a Disney movie, people get married after three days, whatever.
So now the plan is for both Olaf and Hans to get Anna to Kristoff and protect Elsa from Duke Weselton. Make Weselton the guy about to cut Elsa’s head off.
The movie then proceeds like canon, up to the point where Hans is punched out. Now instead Weselton is publicly exposed for his shit-stirring, it’s declared they will no longer be in a trade relationship with his duchy, and Elsa instead turns to Hans and he’s made Ambassador of Southern Isles. Hans and Anna part on good times, agreeing to be friends, Hans and Kristoff are also friendly with one another, and the takeaway is “Sometimes relationships don’t work out and that’s okay, it’s neither person’s fault.”
And instead of “Don’t marry a man you just met because what if he’s evil?” it’s actually “One great date does not guarantee a great relationship, relationships/love is based on mutual experiences and trust, not a sudden burst of attraction and infatuation.” Which honestly is a much better message for the kids.
…why did Hans need to be the villain?

SPICE, ICE AND EVERYTHING NICE
It had been a while since Draco Malfoy had kidnapped you and claimed that 'he was doing this for you'. True, at first you literally hated his guts and wanted nothing to do with him but slowly you couldn't help but fall in love with him. He didn't hit you or anything, rather in fact, he treated you really well and his family liked you too. Of course, if you ignored the fact that he was too possessive and highly clingy
Currently Malfoy was out getting something for you and when you asked him where he was going or what he was getting, he just told you it was a surprise for you but he was a bit red and had a small smile on his face much to your surprise. You didn't try escaping from him since one, you didn't really want to escape from him anymore and two, you anyways couldn't escape from his place, the security around was quite tight
Malfoy came back after 20 minutes and when you hugged him and said "Welcome home'' his heart couldn't help but melt. This was exactly what he'd imagined before taking you for himself. After he hugged you, he dumped the contents of the bags on a table nearby and told you "You wanted to make gingerbread houses for Christmas right? So here....'' and you looked at him in surprise. "Oh wow, I wonder who got you into the festive mood of Christmas, it's almost like a Christmas miracle'' you joked slightly and he spoke "Yeah yeah, whatever. It's not like I enjoy this shit, I'm doing this 'cause you won't shut up about it'' and rolled his eyes but you knew better
And now, let's fast forward to the time when you both are busy making a gingerbread house. You couldn't help but groan "Why is this hard?" and Malfoy looked at you amused and replied "But my love, this was your idea'' and that's when you got an idea in your head, you decided to mess with him a little. No doubt it would result in him yelling till the walls get cracks, but it could be worth it, you were in a mood to have some fun with him. You pretended to drop a spatula and asked him to bend down and get it. After he retrieved the spatula, you were standing in front of him and you smeared some flour on his face and cheeks and ran away giggling. Malfoy looked a bit surprised at first but then smirked and yelled "You're not getting away that easily from me love!'' and then proceeded to chase you around the place for a few minutes
He finally managed to pin you down on the couch and the both of you were so close to each other that your heads were touching each other and he whispered "You're in for it now'' and you braced yourself for him to get mad at you. But instead, he just started tickling you and you couldn't help but squeal and squirm for all you were worth. After that, you both were panting like you ran a mile and you asked him a question that he didn't want you to ask. "Draco, could we please go out? I promise I won't try escaping, we don't even need to actually go out. Just the backyard, please, I want to feel the snow again. It's been really long'' At first he refused but when you pulled your ultimate wild card, your cute puppy dog eyes, he grumbled under his breath and muttered "Fine. But you won't be stepping out without me and without wearing proper clothing to protect you from the cold. And no making a fuss, I don't need you catching a cold'' and you nodded
You and Malfoy had a blast by having snowball fights with each other, building snowmen and even building a little ice castle. You smiled to yourself, remembering your childhood when you used to play in the snow and pretend you were Elsa from Frozen (Don't lie, we've all done that) and that's when Malfoy decided it was the perfect time to give you his gift. He pulled you closer to him, kissed you on the lips and forehead and then spoke "Merry Christmas my love'' and handed you a little box. When you opened it, it was a charm bracelet that had both of your names on it along with a few other charms that you liked and you found it rather cute and endearing. You felt a bit embarrassed, he'd got something really nice for you and all you've managed to come up with was a card since you couldn't really go out
"I understand if you don't like this and if you want to throw this, I won't stop you, it's silly anyways'' you muttered as you took him inside and gave him the card you made for him. He looked at it for a few minutes and then at you and then at the card again and you could have sworn, he actually had tears in his eyes. "Draco, are you....are you all right?" you asked him and placed an arm on his shoulder but he muttered "I'm fine, I just had a little dust in my eyes, that's all. But... this is far from silly love, it's something you made for me with your own hands, I'll always cherish and treasure it. I'm never throwing this away and don't you even think that for a moment'' and kissed your head again
He made some hot chocolate for the both of you as you both sat by the window, admiring the snow from the warmth of your home. Christmas was always about spending time with friends and family for you, and as you looked at Draco who had an arm wrapped around you protectively, you smiled to yourself. These were the little soft moments that you wished would never end... who knows, perhaps a little Christmas magic would grant your wish after all.....

"Everyone already perceives Elsa as a scary monster, just let the audience share the general Arundelle perspective instead of giving us the inside scoop on Elsa actually just being Misunderstood."
You'd also have to change Anna's opinion since she always viewed Elsa as simply misunderstood too. Or at least have her come to believe she was wrong somehow.
Okay so this is the part of the Make Frozen Better concept in my head that I completely neglected to articulate and, in fact, may have contradicted in places. :P Hang on...
I think what I'm imagining, here, is that Elsa looks like a monster/Evil Queen to everyone, including the audience, except Anna. And we the audience quite genuinely don't have the information to decide if Anna's right and her journey is saving her sister, or if she's wrong and her journey is about saving her kingdom.
Very, very rough outline:
Elsa is Anna's older sister who she barely knows - remote, reserved, always closing herself off from others but from Anna especially. Anna loves her. Or she wants, rather desperately, to love her. But she barely knows her.
At the opening of the plot, they interact a little and it's unexpectedly friendly. Anna feels a surge of hope that Maybe Her Sister Loves Her Too.
But then everything goes dramatically bad. Hans signs up to rescue Anna from her lonely life via marriage, they tell Elsa, and Elsa freaks and reveals her powers in a dramatic surge that brings down the storm. Then she vanishes.
It honestly looks pretty villainous and the people who are going "Queen Elsa...is a witch? Queen Elsa wants the kingdom to suffer?" actually sound like they have a reasonable case. (Edit the confrontation scene as needed to make Elsa's motives and responses look more villainous.)
But Anna is the only one saying NO, that's her SISTER, she's not treating her like a monster, she's gonna go and talk to her! She's not writing her off!!
She sets off. Other people point out - first at court and then on her journey, where she meets a married couple - that she's not being really rational about this. She's staking the kingdom, her kingdom and her people, on her faith in a sister she admits she barely knows. She clings to her love of her sister.
(The married couple also questions her engagement, which here can maybe play into "Anna's a hopeless romantic" instead of writerly self-sabotage? Also a good segue into a speech about Love in general.)
She meets with Elsa. They have, like, half a productive conversation maybe? But Elsa is afraid to try and be a Queen or a sister when she's already failed and, to the audience, this comes across as selfishness. She ends up cursing Anna.
Anna's faith in her breaks. She looks like a confirmed villain now, even if she wasn't before. The only hope is to go back to Hans - and Hans doesn't let her down. Not exactly. The kiss doesn't work but he says her sources must have been wrong, and the only way to end Elsa's curses is going to be to kill her.
Anna, shaken and disillusioned and beginning to doubt any type of love is as true as she thought it was, doesn't stop him.
They're lined up to kill Elsa, who is overpowered really surprisingly easily.
At the last minute, Anna remembers or is helped by the couple from earlier and the things they discussed about love. Love is an act of faith, but it's also a choice and a willingness to extend something to another person whether they deserve it or not. She realizes again, for good, that she loves her sister even if she is a villain, and she's not willing to kill her even for the "greater good."
She gets in front of the ax. Else tells her to get out of the way. They argue, and Elsa reveals that she just wants the curses gone and if dying is what it takes, she wants to die. She let herself be captured so they could put an end to her. Anna yells at her. They both cry.
Some climactic moment where they're both trying to shield each other, either from the execution (Hans's true priorities are revealed as he tried to go through with it anyway) or in some more abstract way.
Burst of light.
The light clears, they're clinging to each other, Anna's curse is gone, and winter has made way for spring.
(My OWN take would also have Elsa's hair going from white to blonde, with the reveal that her powers were a curse and needed an act of fearless love to break them. Or at least to unleash the uncursed, unfrozen, controllable version of her native powers. I realize this would be hard to fit in with Frozen's whole empowerment thing, but if we're centering this story on Anna learning how to love people properly and Elsa participating in her journey, I'm not sure magic as self-acceptance really fits in here anyway. So I'm parking that bit here, under probation.)
Anyway this is now a story about Disney Princess Anna looking like she has to learn lessons about Responsibility and Discernment and Judging People Rightly, but then reveals that while it is about those things (see: Hans), it's also about validating her pure heart and steadfast love for her sister, and showing how she learns to add wisdom to that childlike faith instead of rejecting one for the other. That's the goal anyway.

I was rewatching Frozen 1 + 2 the other day, and the following question popped into my head: What if Elsa had not created an eternal winter when she ran away from the palace?
Alright, Elsa runs away after having displayed her powers but doesn't accidentally freeze the country in her flight.
Initially not much actually changed.
There's still grumblings of "witch" and "what the fuck?" from the people present, not helped since Elsa fled the scene with no explanation, and they're still sending out a search party for the queen. It's no longer as vital, the country isn't in a sudden winter because of her, but it's still pretty vital as she was just coronated and oh good god succession nonsense.
Not helping is that, like canon, Anna wants to go after her sister as she sees her running off as her fault for having prompted the ice outburst (but also that Elsa's being very unreasonable and needs to come back and calm down). Everyone wants Anna to stay and er maybe be queen instead (as Elsa was only just crowned so no one's attached) and also because they need someone in charge and can't lose both heirs in one day but as in canon, Anna won't hear of it.
"Hans, you're in charge", Anna says, and takes off. Hans hopes both Anna and Elsa die in the mountains but also wonders if he can be king without actually having married into the family yet. This is going fast even for him.
Anna's trek is still treacherous as she's hiking up a glacier, but she might not run into Kristoff. If she doesn't, she probably doesn't make it and has a terrible accident on the way. If she does, they probably make worse time without the sleigh.
Regardless, Anna and Elsa still have their confrontation but this time Elsa doesn't have her freak out about "oh my god I made it eternal winter outside". Anna may be thrown out normally, in which case she doesn't have to rush to get true love's kiss and probably camps out on the glacier until Elsa comes home already. If there's a fight then the rest of the movie happens accordingly except that there's no blizzard and no pretext of killing Elsa to stop the winter.
So...
Basically, the movie happens.
It's just not 'frozen'.

Does Darry end up shooting Pony in the heart with his ice magic like Elsa did with Anna?
yup!! but instead of Pony needing a “true love’s kiss” to be cured, he needs a “brother’s love’s hug” / “true brother’s hug” or smth like that basically :D
#this is going to be so fun AAAH#i keep forgetting i actually barely revealed the plot yet.#pls keep asking questions about anything and everything concerning this au!!!#i wanna talk about it; i just don’t know what exactly ppl wanna know and it’s too much to just summarise all of it lmao#harvey’s babbling#the outsiders#harvey’s mailbox#ponyboy curtis#darry curtis#the outsiders au#the outsiders but they’re frozen

I'm watching Frozen again with my niece and I talk about this all the time with my mom:
I agree with a lot of analyses that Hans is a bad twist villian, and I actually agree with the theory that he isn't the bad guy from the start but is rather a good-intention man that later is manipulated into being evil (most theorists believe the trolls did it with magic).
However, I think a better way Hans could've been written was never making him a twist villian but simply just in love with Anna. Time comes for Anna where she needs an act of true love to unfreeze her heart, and Hans kisses her. But it doesn't work. Both are surprised and scared, and Hans comes to a dark conclusion: only way to save Anna is to kill Elsa. He locks Anna away in the room for her safety as she refuses to let Hans hurt her sister, but he's convinced that it must be the only way to save her. Anna still converses with Olaf about Kristoff loving her and they believe Kristoff may actually be able to save Anna. The fight would continue as it already does, but Hans takes no joy in hurting Elsa. He tells her that Anna may already be dead because of her, but Anna saves her sister when Hans goes to swing. When everything is fixed by Elsa, there's a moment where Anna admits to loving Kristoff and talks on some of the points Kristoff was saying when he first met Anna ("What's his last name? What's his favorite food? What if you don't like how he does things?"), how she really doesn't know anything about Hans but knows Kristoff and loves him because of it. Hans would be pardoned for his treatment of the queen, and would return home

Im fixated on Frozen rn so Im just gonna fuckin. Rant about the Hans plot twist for a sec.
OH MY GOD IT MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE- IT'S NOT FORESHADOWED IN THE SLIGHTEST, HANS' BEHAVIOR AFTER THE TWIST DIRECTLY CONTRADICTS EVERYTHING WE LEARNED ABOUT HIM BEFORE HAND! THAT'S NOT HOW YOU WRITE A FUCKING PLOT TWIST!!! THERE'S ALSO THE FACT THAT HIS PLAN MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE- MATPAT EXPLAINS IT BETTER THEN I EVER COULD IN THIS VIDEO, BUT BASICALLY MONARCHIES DON'T WORK THE WAY HANS SEEMS TO THINK THEY DO SO HIS PLAN IS FUCKING STUPID. ALSO!!!!! THE PLOT TWIST DOESN'T ACTUALLY ADD ANYTHING TO THE STORY??? LIKE, EVEN IF HE AND ANNA TRULY LOVED EACHOTHER, A KISS WOULDN'T HAVE WORKED BECAUSE ANNA HAD TO BE THE ONE TO PREFORM THE ACT OF TRUE LOVE, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND. IT'S WHY OLAF SACRIFICING HIMSELF DIDN'T WORK, IT'S WHY KRISTOFF DILIVERING HER TO THE CASTLE DIDN'T WORK, IT'S WHY ANNA SAVING ELSA'S LIFE *DID* WORK. HANS DIDN'T NEED TO BE EVIL! THEY COULDVE HAD ONE OF WEASELTON'S LACKY'S ATTEMPT TO KILL ELSA AND IT WOULD'VE HAD THE SAME FUCKING RESULT!!!!!! IM SO FUCKINF MAD I CAN'T-
Tl;dr: the Hans plot twist makes no fucking sense, both in and out of universe, and just exists for the sake of shocking the audience and subverting classic Disney tropes, which are really stupid reasons to add a plot twist.

Day 7 - Free Day
We Are Family ❤️
@helsaweekmasterlist
He smiles at his wife as she runs around the garden with their five year old daughter, Zee. The way her long platinum blonde hair flows behind her, the way her blue sundress glows in the sunlight.
She is a true dream for him. He never knew she would be his.
"Daddy?" He moves his gaze away from his wife to his little girl. "Yes, Princess?" She giggles and hugs his legs. "Can you play with mommy and I?" Hans chuckles at her and ruffles her hair a little.
"Of course, sweetheart." Zee cheers and runs off to get the soccer ball. "Babe?" He looks back at his wife and opens his arms for her to run into.
She smiles and hugs him tightly. "I am so lucky to have you in my life." He whispers against her hair. Elsa hums and tightens her hold on him.
"I am too."
"Mommy? Daddy?" They pull away from each other and look at their daughter. "Yes, honey?" Elsa asks as she bends down to her daughter.
"I have a boo boo." She points to her knee and Hans immediately picks her up. "Oh no, we need to get that cleaned, Princess."
Hans rushes into their home and places her in their bathroom. Elsa takes out their first aid kit and gets out a small band aid from it with some antiseptic.
"This is going to hurt a little, honey, but this will help your boo boo get better." Elsa says as she places some antiseptic onto a cotton ball.
Hans holds his daughter in his arms as the wound gets cleaned. "Did it hurt?" Elsa asks when she places the band aid on. Zee shakes her head.
"You didn't kiss it so it won't get better." Hans and Elsa laugh. Elsa places a kiss to her knee making the little girl smile.
"I feel better already." She says. Hans sighs. "No no, it's time for a nap." He says as he picks her up from the basin counter.
"But daddy!" Zee whines. "Nah ah, you are not getting out of sleeping, young lady." Elsa stands in the corner and watches her husband and daughter bicker over sleeping.
"Mommy! Help me!" Zee says as she gets tickled by Hans. Elsa laughs. 'I love my little family.' She thinks.

Why Disney’s rapunzel is a terrible character.
The reason why I’m writing this is that I’ve seen people bring her up against Elsa and say she is the superior character. However, that isn’t true at all, and Rapunzel is a poorly written character. Also, they say her “personality” makes sense for her upbringing, but again it’s not true(I already did say this before in another post). She’s actually an awful character. Here’s why:
Rapunzel isn’t effected by her upbringing. In the movie, she is isolated from the rest of the world for most of her life and only had one person in her life to talk to. However, Rapunzel is characterized as a typical teenager. She’s upbeat, outgoing and happy. The movie never shows us that she was affected negatively by this at all. In fact, they showed the tower as a happy fun zone (so they can make the movie more marketable), and the movie never shows how isolating this place was. Compared this with other characters with similar upbringing as her. Quasi from hbond. He was alone, and we see how this affects him throughout the beginning of the movie. he was nervous and was soft spoken as a result of his upbringing. Even frozen shows how much damage being isolated from the world had on Anna and Elsa. Anna was super naive and rushed into a relationship because of how lonely she was. And Elsa was traumatized and she was afraid of how the kingdom would react to her powers due to her upbringing. Their upbringing affected their character and their movies show that. With Rapunzel, however, she’s is just a static character who doesn’t show how much damage her upbringing did to her like the other three I mentioned. She also doesn’t struggle with talking to strangers and adjusting to the outside world. Rapunzel was never confused with how the outside world works and just acts normally. She even yelled at a group of criminals in the bar and interacted with them like anyone would. May I remind you that she was taught to fear everyone in the outside world all her life. Again, compared this with other characters with similar backgrounds, like quasi. He’s shy, doesn’t really know how to talk to people, and was shown to struggle to adjust to the real world. We see how he reacted to being in town for the first time. Quasi hid his face because of what follo has been telling him for years about how people would reject him. We even see that he was confused by what to do in town. Rapunzel, on the other hand, acted as if she was going to Disney World for the first time. She had no fear to touch the town’s people despite what gothel had been telling all these years, and knew how to interact with a large group of people. This leads me to my next point.
Rapunzel also wasn’t affected by the abused she faced in the movie. As I stated before, she is upbeat, happy and outgoing. We have never seen her have doubts about herself unless she’s in danger or gothel is in the scene. Even then, it’s either dropped rather quickly or when it’s convenient. Take the camp scene, for example, gothel was making rapunzel doubt Flynn’s love for her and that he’s only faking to get his stuff back. In the next scene, we don’t see rapunzel having these doubts about Flynn or his intentions. Hell, We didn’t even see her look at Flynn with a critical eye to see what he is up while in town. She didn’t care about it until the plot needed her to be in that bootleg kiss the girl scene. Wait, there is one scene where she was affected by the abuse, and it was when she first left the tower. That scenes was played for laughs and we were meant to laugh at rapunzel’s breakdown. In fact, most of the abuse scenes were played for laughs! It’s like the film didn’t take this abuse seriously. Why joke about something so serious in one scene and then expect the audience to take it seriously when the movie wants us to? Another thing is that there were no negative traits that rapunzel learned from gothel. She grew up with this toxic environment, and she had no other influences to learn from. She should have some of gothel’s negative traits because she believes that this is normal behavior like her joking about people and being mean spirited. But she doesn’t. She’s nice to everyone. Like I said before, She acts like your typical teenager who goes to school every day except she doesn’t have real flaws.
She didn’t really struggle in the movie and was a plot device. Rapunzel had everything handled to her on a sliver platter. A creepy thief broke into her house? Well, that’s great because he helped her adcive her dream and is the love of her life. The creepy thief tried to scare her by taking her to the bar filled with criminals? She said one thing, and the criminals love her now! They even help them escape from the police. A cop horse is chasing Flynn? She got the horse to like her even though she has never seen one before, and he’s bestie with the creepy thief now! This just makes her so boring. Everything works out for her, she doesn’t go through anything that will affect her, and she doesn’t even have to make an effort to overcome these issues in the story. It also what makes her a plot device to aid the real protagonist of the story. Flynn kicks off the plot and begins an adventure, while Rapunzel is there for the ride and aid him. Also help him out with his own poorly written character development.
Her dreams are uninspiring. All she wants is to see a cultural appropriation show in the town. She’s willing to go through dangerous situations just for this? Especially when you factor in what gothel has said to her about the outside. She should be very scared of the outside world because rapunzel thinks that people are evil and will steal her hair. She wouldn’t even want to risk her own safety just to see a light show. But the movie acts like she’s a typical teenager who lives in a normal town and there’s an event in a different city that her parents banned her from going. Not someone who is isolated from the world and was told how bad it is out there! It would have made sense if the movie had her sneak out of the tower as a kid when gothel was away, look at the light show, but she saw the town and wanted to properly see more of it. Or something else would have been better than “I want to see a light show in the unknown because the plot told me to” kind of dream. It’s even worse because the movie acts like the light show is a once in a lifetime experience and an inspiring dream when it’s not. It comes every year and there’s no sign that the light show would ever stop. It’s even super basic when you compare it with the other 2010 princesses dreams. For example Anna wants to be close to her sister again and Moana wants to explore the sea. While rapunzel wants to see some stupid light show. Oh, and once this “dream” is over, her other dream is being with a creepy 20 something year old man who she has known for 1 day! So much that she was willing to give up her life for this creep that she know for 3 days. Wow, she has a non dream and a dream that people bashed in the other princesses. She’s such a good role model for little girls lol.
How she reacts to her stupid magic. All her life, gothel had told her that her magical powers were important and a great gift. Does this care any issues with the character? Not really. Outside the camp scene, we never see Rapunzel deal with this burden. Did she feel like this magical hair is all she’s good for? Does she like the hair, or does she hate it? We never got any answers about this. She also didn’t cover her hair when people get near? In the kingdom scene, she even got real close to people and didn’t freak out when that criminal touched her hair. She just reacts like any outgoing person would act. Furthermore, she didn’t even get to choose to what to do with her hair because someone else made that decision for her. All in the sake of his trash ass character arc.

The earth-65 symbiotes are such a fascinating species! Not just the synthetic ones but the hint that the more well known ones and just the contrasts between the two. Gwen’s eats whatever she does but needs things like cellulose to survive meanwhile the organic ones only feed on brain chemicals such as adrenaline and phenylalanine. Anyways ever think about how Elsa Brock and technically Matt Murdock are Venom’s parents in Earth 65?
thank you for all this interesting information, thats something I'd honestly never noticed before but i also dont really know a lot about symbiotes lol. thats really cool!!
also OKAY LISTEN LMFAO in e65 circles I only ever really hear people talk about Matt's scenes with Cindy Moon when it comes to addressing Matt's canon non-platonic interactions and I honestly think Elsa Brock is way too overlooked on this front
the relationship that we are shown in only a handful of panels is waaayyy more interesting than anything we are given about Cindy and Matt.
Matt approached Elsa, told her he was going to mentally manipulate the Manhattan DA into becoming his personal pocket square, told her he was working with spider woman, told her he was going to go after Norman Fucking Osborne to manipulate and scare the hell out of him, and then told her that he wanted to fund her symbiote project to be the pretty bow wrapping everything together
and she fucking loved it
NOT ONLY WAS SHE ON BOARD SHE WAS FUCKING EXCITED, SHE WAS ESTATIC. she heard "I want to fund your batshit project to create an organism that's extremely dangerous and unstable" and she started FOAMING AT THE MOUTH
I kinda loved Matt and Elsa's relationship and I wish we got to see more of it. They had more chemistry in a single panel together than Matt and Cindy had in the entire kiss they shared. They both love putting on a show, they're both evil (actually, i think elsa's worse than matt to a degree), and they both love controlled chaos.
another detail I enjoyed was that Matt very much lied to Elsa about his true intentions w the symbiote.
in the scene with Osborne, he lays the whole plan out to Norman and Gwen. about the symbiote and harry and everything. and that had kinda seemed to be the original idea until:
first of all, love the banter like genuinely its so fun. second, I love that we find out the reason Elsa is angry isn't because she doesn't like working with Matt due to his reputation or because she feels bad about it. in fact, I think she couldn't care less except for when it comes to how it affects her own career.
She's angry because Matt acted like he was going to keep their true intentions for the venom secret until after it had already worked only to TELL SPIDERWOMAN LITERALLY EVERYTHING.
Elsa was involved in this whole thing because not only did it benefit her research but she also like that it was evil lmfao. like she couldn't understand why Matt would reveal so much to Gwen or even why Matt would want to infect Gwen w the symbiote since Matt already had a way to easily control Gwen through using the "power-up" isotopes.
this whole scene she's basically saying "you wanted to be evil so why aren't you being evil???? we were supposed to be evil together Matt what the fuck????" And she's reasonably second guessing his intentions
what she doesn't know is that Matt was just using her to give Gwen her powers back. Matt didn't actually ever want to control Gwen. he had the hopes of maybe manipulating her into killing him but there were just enough holes in his plan that him failing feels very intentional.
here I am once again pushing my agenda that Matt wanted Gwen to win. he knew the symbiote was going to consume Gwen but he also knew it wasn't a perfect organism. far from it. once again, a win-win situation for him. either the symbiote makes gwen kill him or the symbiote is just unstable enough that gwen can mold it into something that isn't consuming her, therefore making her stronger and better than before.
but anyway. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS ASK I LOVE ANY EXCUSE TO TALK ABOUT ANYTHING EARTH 65. OR ANYTHING MATT MURDOCK.
good day to you :)
edit: I just reread your ask and I'm starting to wonder if the symbiote was altered that way on purpose? (to have to consume cellulose, ect. rather than brain chemicals lol) cause both chemicals you listed promotes alertness, alters mood, and regulates body function. specifically phenylalanine is an extremely important amino acid. if the symbiote feeds on these, it takes them from the host. taking important neurotransmitters like that would inevitably cause a destabilization and deterioration of the host (ignoring the fact that the radiation would probably kill them first). Matt certainly didn't want that for Gwen, right? he wanted the symbiote to fuck w her but not like. destroy her. he wanted to keep the mood enhancing qualities while stripping away the more dangerous aspects. gwens already immune to the radiation but the venom needed to be altered to feed on something that wouldn't harm gwen. matt wanted Gwen to have a chance to fight the thing off before it completely took control. he was ACTING like he wanted it to take her over but if that was true he would've left the symbiote in its more organic form. or something closer to it.
#anyway these are just my opinions#all im saying it that matt LIKED elsa okay?#i dont think matt liked cindy 😭#he thought elsa was fun#matt murderdock#murderdock#earth 65#elsa brock#meta#ren replies#its funny cause while i think matt liked elsa#elsa didnt like him#and cindy was on her knees for matt#but he couldnt care less lmfaoo

I, a 33 year old, watched Frozen for the first time yesterday, and now I am going to tell you how I would rewrite the final act. For fun, because I've been turning it over in my mind. I was really affected by the beginning of the movie and found myself less impressed at the end, so here is what I think would have worked better for me. I'm making no claims that this would be better or that the movie is bad. I'm just telling you how I would finish the movie if it were up to me.
So the first thing I think I want to change is, before Kristoff hands Anna off to Hans, I think they should kiss and I think it shouldn't help Anna. It should be awkward and embarrassing and they should frame it like, hey maybe the trolls are onto something and like we don't have to get married but maybe just in case? And if this doesn't work we can forget the whole thing and then we'll know for sure Hans is Anna's true love. So they do like a quick little peck, they blush a lot, and turn away from each other, they start checking if Anna is feeling any better. She's like, "uhhh, maybe? I think my fingers might be a little less cold? Maybe it works slowly?" And then Kristoff sees the white visibly growing in her hair. "This was stupid. Of course Hans is your true love. I should have believed you. I'm so sorry about this." And Anna's like, a little disappointed and tries and fails to be reassuring. When they part they both reflexively try to kiss again and then turn away because obviously this was the wrong thing, otherwise Anna would be healing.
The next thing I would change is the scene where Hans is alone with Anna. In my vision, Hans legitimately did believe Anna was his true love. He is thinking, this is the only girl both pretty and quirky enough for me. It's a miracle that I met her, all other women are ugly or nags or something. Now I will prove what a good prince I am by saving her.
So, in my vision, when he leans in to kiss her and the music swells, he follows through. He does kiss her. And immediately, Anna feels even colder and her hair turns whiter. It's not ambiguous. And THEN we get the turn. Hans is angry. "You little [Disney friendly word for whore]! This is your fault! I loved you, so it must be that you aren't true enough a love for me! I even tolerated your people's pathetic, annoying whining! I showed your monster of a sister mercy! And this is how you repay me!"
This should be scary, this should be horrifying. He should probably hit her, and send her reeling away from the fire. The key here is, the reason you don't marry the first person you connect with after one day isn't that they might be scheming to take advantage of you. It's that you don't know what they do if things don't go their way, you don't know if they will respect your boundaries, you don't know what they'll do if they're mad or if there's an argument. Look, I came into this saying my ending isn't necessarily better or even that there's anything wrong with the movie. And I still say that. I'm just saying, there's a reason I would make the choices I'm making here.
Anyway, next Kristoff pieces together how he can still use the situation to his advantage. His monologue about what he meant to do the whole time turns into thinking out loud about how he can spin this. He makes the same plays he does in the actual movie.
Olaf shows up and Anna is like, "I don't know what to do. Maybe I have no true love? If I need to know my true love for more than a day, maybe no one can save me because I don't know anyone?" She's really like, I think I'm going to die here, there's no hope for me. Olaf doesn't have a solution; because Kristoff already tried kissing Anna he isn't immediately trying to come back.
I think what happens is, Elsa and Kristoff run into each other while Kristoff is leaving slowly and Elsa is actively escaping. Kristoff tries to show Elsa some kind of kindness and Elsa pushes him away. Hans catches up and is like, haha I killed your sister and now I'm going to kill you. In this scenario, it's Kristoff who manages to save Elsa and dispatch Hans.
Kristoff and Elsa race back to the castle to see what they can do for Anna. Elsa is like, "it's my fault, I can never control my fear no matter how hard I try." And Kristoff says something reasonable about the importance of feeling feelings. He also fills Elsa in, reiterating that he doesn't know what to do because if he isn't Anna's true love and Hans isn't either, then maybe there isn't a way to break the spell.
Kristoff and Elsa find Anna fully frozen next to a puddle that used to be Olaf. Kristoff slumps against the doorway in despair and Elsa runs to Anna, crying. She reprises "Do You Want to Build A Snowman." In the reprise she expresses that she never wanted to shut Anna out, that she was scared, that she just didn't want to hurt Anna. And, of course, this song, and crying over Anna is what revives her. Unfortunately, Olaf is also revived in this scene. Just because this is my personal creative vision doesn't mean I'm killing off my least favorite character.
To round out the ending, Anna and Kristoff can awkwardly ask each other on a date. Perhaps, they speculate together, just because they aren't "true loves" yet, doesn't mean they can't be if they get to know each other. Elsa *doesn't* end the movie in perfect control of her powers, but she is showing improvement. Elsa has to address the public and there's ice growing around her. She turns to say to Anna, "Anna I'm scared, what if they don't accept me?" And Anna puts her hand on Elsa's shoulder and says, "I'll be right here with you." Elsa takes a deep breath and the ice begins to melt. She addresses her people hand in hand with Anna, and it goes well.
The End.
#frozen#fix it fic#I have literally no idea what kind of discourse im tossing this into#I just wanted to put these thoughts somewhere#no I have not seen frozen 2

FROZEN // FROZEN 2: Love how Anna & Elsa are perfectly expressing the same energy of Kristoff & Hans in F1
It's a little obsession of mine, but looking at Anna and Elsa pivotal moments from F2, it seriously feels as their journeys were built on the dynamics and themes of F1, to show their growth and development: they are doing what they weren’t able to do themselves in the first movie, something that, instead, Kristoff & Hans were experiencing themselves in F1.
I know it seems as I'm reading too much into it, but here's my explain:
- Anna is leading the Earth Giants to destroy the dam because it's the right thing to do to makes repeant for King Runeard's sins, to free the Enchanted Forest and ensure Arendelle's future, even if she knows that her life won't be the same anymore, after she lost Elsa and Olaf, her relationship with Kristoff seemed broken and Arendelle will be destroyed. Similarly, Kristoff in F1 was riding on the fjord with Sven and facing the snow storm in order to save Anna from it, even if he was still believing that she got saved by Hans's "true love kiss", and so needing to return to his everyday life with this pain inside his heart
- Elsa is preparing herself to face the Dark Sea to reach Ahtohallan and this Fifth Spirit, to honor her parents sacrifice and finally have the answers she was searching for, convinced that her duty and destiny is to be some sort of hero meant to save everyone, proving her determination by defeating the Nokk. Well, in F1, while searching for Anna and appear as some sort of hero, Hans prepares himself and his search-party to face whatever danger they might meet getting closer to the Ice Palace, coincidentally arriving when Elsa's powers are reflecting her deeply emotinally thurmoil, giving to the place a dark vibe, and this situation gets "even better" for him when Marshmallow reveals himself
The way the scenes are built is nearly identical between the two movies, but the best way to put it down is that Frozen 2 turns the expectations in a story with a much greater scale compared to the first movie.
Most importantly:
F1 story works through Anna & Elsa being separated, in order to bring their relationship back at the center.
F2 story works through Anna & Elsa being together, in order to evolve their relationship and find their roles in the world.

Class of Heroes AU: Miracuclass (+Others)
I absolutely love the Class of Villainy AU by @artzychic27 and @imsparky2002! It inspired me to come up with an AU where they’re the heroes instead of villains! These are what I have so far. I’d love to hear any suggestions you have for the others! I may even change the ones I have if I like an idea! Love and hugs!
Marinette: Mulan. Clumsy and a bit scatterbrained, Marinette took the place of her childhood friend, Socqueline, at the school so she could follow her dream. She aims to be a good warrior, but her inability to stay balanced may impede that.
Adrien: Rapunzel. Sealed away in a tower by his overprotective father for most of his life, he’s relishing his newfound freedom by trying to learn as much as he can and make as many friends as possible. His shining golden hair has healing powers.
Alya: Tiana. Driven and motivated, she is determined to open up her own, world famous restaurant, often neglecting to take care of herself in the process. She works several jobs to save up money and to help support her large family!
Nino: Fairy Godbrother. (Thanks to @artzychic27!) The ultimate bro, whatever you need, he’s got you! New duds? Sneaking out? Bam, you got it! His magic has a pesky time limit though…
Max: Hiro Hamada. (Thanks to @imsparky2002!) a brilliant young inventor who excels in anything related to robotics. He is typically accompanied by his most proud creation, Markov, an AI robot designed to tend to the sick and wounded. (Markov as Baymax!!!)
Alix: Aladdin. A cunning and quick-footed street urchin who loves to mess with authority figures. She also has mild kleptomania, obviously. She usually gives things back…
Kim: Hercules. A demigod with incredible strength, desires nothing more than to help people and be a hero. Sometimes gets overconfident and into trouble, needing help from his friends.
Ondine: Ariel. A young mermaid princess who made a deal with the sea witch Amelie to become a human in order to go to school. Bright-eyed and curious about the surface world, sometimes gets into trouble. Bonds with Marinette over being insanely clumsy. (She’s getting used to her legs…)
•Ondine and Kim are still dating in this universe. He was immediately smitten with the sweet, beautiful mer-girl when he caught her falling from a staircase on the first day of school.
Marc: Elsa. Terrified of hurting people with his ice powers, Marc is shy and withdrawn, constantly wearing his gloves and retreating to solitary places when he feels his control slipping. Nathaniel is the only person who can calm him down.
Nathaniel: Aurora. (Thanks to @artzychic27!) A shy and passionately creative boy who was cursed as an infant to be put to sleep for a hundred years unless he receives a kiss from his true love before he turns 16! Thankfully, a certain ice prince may be able to help him with that!
Sabrina: Pinocchio. A wooden puppet brought to life, she wants desperately to be a real child like her classmates. She’s upstanding and follows rules, like her father taught her, as well as very sweet, but you could say she has a bit of a problem with brutal honesty…
Mylene: Snow White. A quiet and shy girl, with a love for animals and nature. She spent most of her time in the forest, before she was driven from her kingdom by her cruel stepmother after her father’s death, the woman being jealous of how the people adored the princess.
Ivan: Quasimodo. Told that people would always be scared of him for his hulking and intimidating appearance, he spent most of his life hiding away. He’s still incredibly shy and gets along well with the school’s gargoyles.
• Ivan is surprised when the quiet and gentle Mylene isn’t scared of him, and the two quickly develop a sweet relationship.
Juleka: Beast. She and her household were cursed by a dark sorcerer for rejecting him, and it caused her to become cold and withdrawn. Until she meets Rose….
•Luka is still her brother. He was turned into a grand piano.
Rose: Belle. Kind and loving with a fondness of reading fairytales, Rose sees the beauty in everything and everyone. She makes it her mission to befriend Juleka, and the two eventually fall in love.
Zoe: Cinderella. Treated as a servant by her cruel stepfamily, Zoe is allowed to come to the school to continue attending Chloé’s whims. Her friends are helping her learn to stand up for herself.
Kagami: Merida. A fiery princess who fights hard against the restraints put on her by her controlling mother. She’s fond of fencing and archery.
(They all go to a big, fancy-schmancy prep/boarding school a la Auradon Prep. It’s basically a giant castle, with fairies, royalty and others for teachers!)

Perhaps my most controversial take on "Frozen": I don't like that KristAnna is canon in "Frozen 1".
I don't think this kiss is natural.
For me, it would have been much better if it had just stayed with the kiss on the cheek, hinting that they could become a couple in the future.
The reason is quite obvious and simple: one of Anna's arcs in F1 is precisely related to her romantic feelings and being "confused" between two guys, the prince she met for a few minutes before agreeing to marry him and the poor man that she met for a few hours... If there isn't yet a KristAnna fanfic of "Titanic", do it. I put the word "confused" in quotes because I have my doubts that she would care about Kristoff if Hans didn't act stupid at the end, but whatever.
This arc ends with Hans for some reason not wanting to kiss Anna and preferring the more difficult path that would need a lot of luck to work (and there are still people who say he is one of the smartest Disney villains, I'm curious what the level of the least smart then). And since Hans didn't want to kiss her and perform the act of true love, she tries with Kristoff, but in the end she also ignores him and sacrifices her life to prevent her sister from being decapitated by the sociopathic prince. And then reveals that the act of true love that would save Anna is an act of love between sisters.
Okay, beautiful message. But then why the kiss at the end between Anna and Kristoff? Anna considering Kristoff as an option for an act of true love already makes her feelings clear and the kiss on the cheek also confirms their future relationship. Was the kiss on the mouth just to make it clear that a kiss can happen for no particular reason other than the will? It would come as no surprise to me if someone who wrote the screenplay for "Frozen 1" reveals that the kiss on the mouth was a Disney imposition because that cliché could not be missing from the film.
But I like KristAnna. If "Frozen Heart" made me consider Hans as something more than an NPC and understand when Jeniffer Lee called him a sociopath, "Forest of Shadows" made me like and root for the KristAnna romance.
In the book that presents the first officially lesbian characters in the franchise and has Elsa making her disinterest in men clear (and some say that there is still doubt about Elsa's sexual orientation lol), the KristAnna romance is extensively explored and especially Anna's initial feelings. Although Anna and Kristoff had been together for almost 3 years, the romance still seemed to have some doubts that end up being resolved in the book. And don't consider this to be a mistake, if you consider the Frozenverse to have very little KristAnna content, most of the time if you consider them just best friends it wouldn't be so wrong.
Sometimes it even seems that Elsa is the sister more connected to the romance and not Anna: we had the quasi-affair with Marisol, the secret admirer and even the man from Weselton who seemed romantically interested in her. Elsa's love life, ironically, has always had more substance than Anna's.
