Why I think Killua is a demisexual
(my personal headcanon)
Before I start explaining, I just want to remind anyone reading this that Killua being a demisexual is my personal headcanon.
This means you don’t have to agree you can simply read what I have to say about it.
If you don’t like my opinion, then you’re not forced to read.
Thank you for understanding.
•────────★•♛•★────────•
So the other day I made a Killua rant explaining why he wasn’t a misogynist and someone noticed how I took a small section of the ranting to tell my headcanon about his sexuality. I said that he was more of a demisexual to me.
They wanted me to elaborate more on the part where I mentioned it so that’s why I’m making this!
So to start off, this is the simplest definition of what it means to be demisexual.
Tumblr media
I don’t see Killua as someone who would simply start to love somebody because of how they look or because he just knows them since they’re his friend.
I don’t believe he could be aromantic either. He’s the total opposite of that since it’s clear that he unconsciously seems to want love (any kind too) and is interested in knowing what it’s like.
Every time he meets someone, he always treats them the same way: he interrogates the person he meets, makes sure they are on his side, he fights for a cause while the person he befriended is in the same team and finally acknowledges them as his teammates in case he ever needs their help in the future.
Usually, when a main character meets another character, he or she will (sometimes and in a very cliché way) react in a noticeable way on how the character looks or sounds like even when the person they’re talking to is much older than them. Killua on the other hand, doesn’t do that at all.
He even meets people of his age such as Canary and Zushi but doesn’t necessarily react to them or how they look like.
Tumblr media
He’s generally a closed-off man and not a sociable one like Gon or Leorio not to mention that he can’t trust anyone, not even his own family. It would make more sense to think that Killua only becomes more honest and sincere to someone if they look to be worthy and loyal to be his close friend.
Let’s take YOU as an example.
You managed to meet him and find yourself in a lot of missions and dangerous situations with him. You begin to talk and try to understand him even though you didn’t go through the same things as he did, you still want him to try to rely on you from time to time.
Slowly but surely, if you succeed in making him trust you with his life, he might just feel something special for you later on.
Tumblr media
If he sticks with an individual that long and begins to form a trustable bond between them, chances are he will feel some type of devotion and love towards them.
Tumblr media
Of course, this will take time and this obviously doesn’t happen with everyone that he considers friends (or any demisexuals in general).
I prefer this headcanon because it awfully suits him. A lot. A bit too much actually.
I hope this was enough for you to understand why I consider him as one.

Scarlet Crossroads:
Chapter 2: Breaking The Ice
Previous/Next
Scarlet Crossroads Masterlist
It felt like hours before most of the exam contestants arrived. Of course, you happened to be exceptionally early, being only examinee 113.
You wish you could’ve said waiting was boring, but a few of the other examinee’s made it extremely difficult to settle down.
There was a wide variety of other characters, their personalities most likely to clash further into the exam, dragging you into the crossfire.
One man stood out to you. He was short, rather full looking, and had an ugly ass beard. Maybe he was a child… seeing as he certainly acted like one. This child of a man was Examinee #16, Tonpa the Rookie Crusher.
It was obvious to you that he was bad news. I mean, he reeked of mold and broccoli. (Well, you thought it was broccoli, but you could’ve been wrong on that. You were hoping, no praying, that it wasn’t the case.
He shifted uncomfortably underneath your stare, somehow growing nervous as he tried to speak. It seemed your aura was suffocating him, how typical.
Anyone who isn't strong enough to withstand it seemed to have that reaction. This just proved he was up to no good.
Your Nen Ability was something close to a Trump Card of sorts. No one would know it existed until it was too late. This poor man had already succumbed to it though, seeing as he was choking on his words.
With a quick inhale, your aura dispersed, leaving the short man to choke on the air that shot into his throat.
“You run a mile or something? Asthma?” You said curiously, a sly smirk seemed to pick at your lips, a laugh growing in your throat.
“No, no! I’m just thirsty! About that, what about a drink? You must be thirsty from your way here? What about we become pals? My name's Tonpa! How about you girly?”
Ew, okay gross. Did this man just call you.. girly? Yeah no, he’s not worthy enough to hold your drink, much less give you one.
With that conclusion, you gave him a forced smile, your eyes narrowing as you stared him down. “That’s really nice of you to offer, but I don’t take things from strangers.”
“Oh huh, really? That’s too bad!” He thought aloud, his expression faltering as he paid close attention to your expression. With each second your eyes got darker, the sides of your mouth twitching as you grew aggravated. Damn, something was up with you. “Your mother must be proud! The whole ‘Stranger Danger’ lesson worked huh?”
“Ah.” You paused, your smile dropping. Looks like the muscles in your face were sore now. Just great. “I didn’t have a mother.” You spoke calmly as you shifted your weight to the other leg, looking down at your fingernails.
With that realization, his eyes almost poked out of his head. He began to spew apologies, falling to the ground in a bow. It was painfully obvious that it was a forced reaction, but you took pleasure in watching him kneel. Okay maybe that’s coming off as too strong? Yeah, maybe it was just funny to you.
With that, you turned on your heel, signaling him off with a mere wave of your hand. Damn old men, they really did freak you out. Usually Chrollo or the Troupe would’ve killed him on sight, but they weren’t with you. The familiar faces began to run through your mind, distracting you from the small white blurr standing in front of you.
In a split second, you could feel your aura activate itself as you collided with another examinee. As if it didn’t startle you, the small kid seemed to be falling off his board. Everything seemed to slow down for you, his surprised face turned into one of anger, and his pupils locked with yours.
You quickly shot out your hand, grabbing his wrist, holding him up so he wouldn’t fall on his back. His skateboard flipped in the air, but it seems he had already caught it. You thought to yourself, ‘Hey that was kind of cool’, and let go of his small wrist.
He shifted uncomfortably, his hair covering his blushing face, his hands clamping up into small fists. “Hey why don’t you watch where you’re going?! If I was someone else, you would’ve been dead the minute you touched me! But you got lucky this time, I don’t really want to pick a fight with anyone just yet.” He smiled confidently to himself, laying his board back onto the ground, his left foot pushing it back and forth. “But that doesn’t mean I won’t come after you, you old hag! Man, people like you won’t ever pass this exam! Especially when you can’t even walk without bumping into people?!”
You didn’t even get to open your mouth before he jumped back on his board, weaving through the crowd, blowing the small strands of hair from his face.
What a spoiled brat. Who the hell does he think he is? Telling you that you won’t pass the exam? Hell, you’d blow through this thing like it’s nothing. All you had to do was get your hunters license, and then shove it into that kids face.
Yeah, sounds simple enough.
That declaration of yours was made almost an hour ago, and now, waiting was getting old. For said hour, you’ve been sitting against the wall, playing with a small rubix cube. Instead of its natural colored squares, small little pieces of duct tape covered the surface. What was written on said tape, were the names of each troupe member.
You remembered Pakunoda spending an hour just writing the names down, wanting them to be spelled perfectly so you could read them correctly. This was years ago, probably when you were nearing age 5, the withered adhesives almost giving up.
Seeing as there were no school opportunities for you, Pakunoda mostly took charge of your education, wanting you to be as smart as possible. She really was motherly in a way, even when she denied it.
Her teaching certainly worked its wonders. Even though you came off as an idiot, your mind worked faster than what was natural. You could tell peoples moves before they even acted them out, which seemed to help greatly in the troupe’s line of work.
It seems they raised you to be a Phantom Troupe member, the spider tattoo being embedded in your mind, almost like a nightmare. It was truly Ironic, considering that you hated the very idea of joining the Spiders.
Your thoughts were interrupted by the ringing of the elevator, and the doors slowly opened to reveal a group of three.
They were oddly fitting for a friend group. One of them was obviously a child, his innocent face matched his horrible sense of fashion. Next to him was a rather greasy... business man? He looked to be at least in his late twenties? It was an understatement to say that his limbs were of average length, because damn, those arms were long.
Your eyes then glanced over to his other partner. He was shorter, but much younger looking. He looked to be your age, which was very exciting for you. You never had a friend that was actually close to your age. Maybe you’d sneak in a word or two during this?
The longer you stared, the more you noticed about him. He had blonde hair that stopped right behind his ear, his eyes were soft, a calming grey color. If you stared at them any longer you were sure to get lost. It sounded cheesy, but you ignored that thought.
To be honest, everything about him screamed Mom friend, almost reminding you of Pakunoda in a way.
You watched as Beans, the Secretary that approached you not too long ago, gave them their badges. They were numbers; 403, 404, and 405.
They were likely the last ones to get here, which was good news in your book. Finally, the Hunter Exam was about to begin!
A few more minutes passed, and you shifted uncomfortably as you watched Tonpa walk up to the group. You didn’t necessarily care about the two older ones, but the kid seemed to bother you.
That’s when you decided to take your chances and try to rescue the trio. As you thought to yourself, you figured you most likely wouldn’t make it in time to stop them from drinking it, so you did the next best thing.
Your mind spewed apologies as you looked down at the rubix cube that resembled your childhood. With one last glance, you lined it up with the kids' drink. With a strong over handed throw, it spiraled towards the can, completely tearing through the thin metal.
Juice had sprayed all over Tonpa’s face, it’s orange contents seeping into his clothes. Maybe, just maybe, that would help him smell better.
With a quick smile, you cautiously jogged over. You held up one hand, waving as you came in peace. The closer you got, the more you noticed the blonde boy’s eyes. They seemed empty almost, like they were hiding something behind them. Tough childhood huh? You could relate.
You stopped as you got in front of them, rubbing the back of your neck as an act of nervous behavior. Good act. Keep it up. “So sorry guys, sometimes I forget I’m surrounded by other people! I kinda just threw it y'know?”
“That was… so cool!” The smaller boy piped in, his eyes adorned in admiration. “My names Gon! Gon Freccs! What’s your name?”
“Oh.” You were generally surprised by his positivity, seeing as you just knocked his source of hydration from his hands. “The names Y/N.” You held out your hand, taking the kids palm in yours. “Sorry for spilling your drink.. but I can’t say it was purely an accident. This guy has been trying to mess with people, I just felt like I had to warn you.”
With that, the blonde boy and his accomplice poured their drinks out, a disgusted look on their faces.
“Oh really? I thought it smelled weird! I’m glad to know I wasn’t having allergies or something!” Gon muttered the last part, rubbing the surface of his index finger underneath his nose, as if to wipe something off.
You nodded, a small smile reaching your lips. “Well Gon, and his…” you paused for a minute, your eyes meeting the blonde boys. “Accomplices? Besties…? Caretakers?”
“Friends is a better word.” The grey eyed boy said quickly. “My name is Kurapika, and this?” He gestured with his hands, pointing at Leorio’s stomach. “This is Leorio.”
“I think I can introduce myself, you damn blonde!” Leorio interrupted him, yelling in his face, his finger pointing into Kurapika’s chest.
“Oh, it’s quite alright. Seeing as I got it the first time” You said quickly, not wanting to hear it again.
You ignored the taller man as he started to spew nonsense, most of its contents having to do with insults directed towards you. Your small smile seemed to falter, suddenly remembering the very item you had used to save them was not in your hands.
That’s when your eyes dropped to the floor, searching for the old rubix cube that contained most of your memories of home. You felt your heart spike, the feeling of disappointment taking over.
On the outside you remained stoic, your shoulders merely shrugging as you let out a small groan of annoyance. “Damn, I lost that old thing again?”
“What thing?” Gon interjected, standing on his tippy-toes as he rocked back and forth. “You mean that toy?”
You cringed, your teeth grinding together as you glared him down. “That ‘thing’ is not a toy, it’s something very important to me.”
“Must not be ‘very important’ if you throw it at people.” Leorio retorted, rolling his eyes as he adjusted his suit sleeve. Why he wore it to an exam was beyond you.
“Well, no matter how important it is, I’m sure you’d like it back?” Kurapika cut Leorio off, trying to prevent whatever fight was about to break out between the two of you.
“Huh?” You broke your gaze with Leorio, only to meet the cold, empty eyes of Kurapika. “Well of course I’d want it back. It is mine after all.”
Leorio started to grow annoyed, most likely with the fact that you were ignoring him. “Hey! Don’t give him that crappy attitude! We’re being nice to you, so don’t overstay your welcome!”
“..You make it sound like I’m at your house.” You looked to him, your face forming into a scowl.
This sent the overdressed man into a blushing mess, his words coming out as broken stutters, his hands fumbling with the hems of his suit. It seems he did that a lot.
“Please ignore him.” Kurapika sighed, obviously embarrassed by his friend’s behavior. “But regarding the object of discussion, I think you should have it back.” With that, he reached his hand out, your rubix cube in his hand.
Your eyes quickly rushed down towards it, your hands quickly snatching from his own, scared that if you touched him, he’d know everything about you.
You let out a soft sigh of relief, putting the cube back in your small bag. Unbeknownst to you, the tape that once held your brother's name, was now somewhere along the ground.
“Thanks.” You muttered, your fingers tingling from where they had brushed against his. “..So, why not break the ice a little? Why are you guys trying to become Hunters?”
The small child opened his mouth to answer, but it seems it was cut short by a blood curdling scream.
You all turned your heads to the noise, being greeted by the sight that was Hisoka.
It seems someone had bumped into him, seeing as they were now in a fetal position on the ground, their arms missing as they disintegrated into little flowers. At least the flowers were pretty.
If matters couldn’t get any more interesting, the large door that you presumed was a wall opened, revealing who looked to be an Examiner.
He wore an all purple suit, his white hair almost looking like a soft lavender. His mustache seemed to cover his mouth, hiding whatever lurked inside of it. His name didn’t matter to you, frankly, none of these people did.
Atleast, that’s what you kept telling yourself.

Man to Man
The air in Leorio’s fancy high rise office was stuffy. A huge mahogany desk rested in the center of the room, it’s top laden with scattered papers, odd looking trinkets, and a few picture frames holding some familiar smiling faces. The walls were lined with tall, matching mahogany book shelves, boasting an extensive medical encyclopedia collection.
Gon sat in a squishy chair that was parked in front of the desk, waiting patiently as Leorio fumbled with his coffee pot. He laughed to himself when the older man let out a quiet stream of profanities followed by a loud “AH-HA!!” The sound of the machine percolating followed. With a hot cup of coffee in hand, Leorio walked over to the two leather arm chairs facing the window, and motioned for Gon to join him. “The view is nicer over here” he said with a light smile, gesturing towards the huge window. Yorknew city bustled below them, the setting sun enveloped the world outside, casting everything into an orange glow. “Now,” Leorio peeked at Gon over his glasses while he blew steam off of his coffee, “what did you want to talk about?” Gon looked up at him, eyes round and bright. He swallowed nervously and glanced down at his feet before starting. “Well-“ Leorio held up a single finger. “Gon, I’m your close friend, there’s no need to be embarrassed or nervous. We can talk, man to man! Now, look me in the eye, and tell me what’s on your mind!” He squeezed his eyes shut, and with a deep breath and furrowed brow, opened them again, amber orbs now shining with resolve. “Leorio, I want to know about sex!” He blurted out, cheeks on fire and mouth dry. Leorio sputtered, spilling coffee onto his pristine white button down. This was a shock for sure! Gon was at that age, he supposed, but Leorio felt out of depth for this conversation. Why couldn’t Gon just talk to his d—his thoughts stopped in their tracks, he suddenly remembered Ging and wished very much that he could punch him again. Harder this time. His son was here, needing guidance! And where was that sorry excuse for a parent? Who knew?! Damned vagabond. Well, it is what it is, and Leorio was a doctor after all, aside from Gon being his dear friend, this was also his duty as a medical professional. After taking a second to regain his composure, he finally spoke, “Gon, you’re really growing up!” His loud exclamation was followed with a hand reaching over to tousle a patch of black spiky hair. Gon saw a tear glint in his eye. “Does this mean you like someone??” He pressed, shooting a wry smile and leaning over to elbow Gon slightly in the ribs. “Well out with it! Who’s the lucky lady, eh?” Gon’s face was deep red. “I-it...w-well, it’s not...” the boy trailed off, reaching an arm up to rub at the back of his neck. This was harder than he thought it would be. Leorio seemed to understand and took some pity on him. “Don’t worry, Gon. I won’t make you tell me. This talk is embarrassing enough without also having to talk about your crush!” He sipped his coffee before starting again. “Gon, you’re growing up, and with getting older comes new feelings and urges” —Gon cringed— “that may be tough to understand. The most important thing when you’re trying to navigate this new territory is to always be safe! Sex is a wonderful and powerful thing, but sex without safety measures is just dumb!” Gon’s adrenaline was rushing and his heart was fluttering in his chest. “What safety measures?” He asked, voice almost a whisper. “Ah! Good question!” The tall man quickly walked to his desk and rummaged through one of its many drawers. He fished out something small and walked back over to Gon. Taking a seat, he passed the foil square to him. “Do you know what that is?” He quirked an eyebrow at the mortified looking teen. “No... What is it?” “That is a condom. Whenever you want to have sex, you should always use one of those! It keeps you and your lady safe from diseases and unwanted pregnancy!” Gon’s face fell. “O-oh. Okay.” Leorio felt a blush rise in his cheeks. He knew what that disappointment was. “I know you may be thinking it feels better without a condom, but the risk just isn’t worth it! One day you might meet a nice woman and settle down, and you two decide together th—“ “Leorio?” “Eh?” He was a little surprised by the interruption. “I want...” Gon cleared his throat. “I want to know about sex with... boys.” Oh. Oh!! Leorio’s eyes grew wide, a new wave of understanding washing over him. Images of a pale, silver haired teen suddenly flashed through his mind. Everything made much more sense now. Gon, looking mortified, continued. “Aunt Mito talked to me about the birds and the bees a long time ago, but she never went into details. Now that I’m older, I need to know more, so I came to you. I really appreciate you giving me details, I just want to make sure they’re...the /right/ details. I don’t want to mess up or-or do something wrong...” Gon hung his head to hide his blush. His slightly upturned nose was now pointing down at the carpeted floor while his hands fidgeted in his lap. Leorio, still a little lost in thought, shook his head to clear it. “Gon. I appreciate your honesty, and so I’ll be honest in return when I say I don’t have much...er- personal experience in this department. But I can still go over the basics with you, and I can also get some helpful pamphlets from work to give to you. The clinic I work for has got tons of informational pamphlets, I’ll snag two for you in case Ki—“ he stopped himself abruptly. “In case you need an extra.” Gon hadn’t missed this, as was evident from the deepened blush now rising to the tips of his ears. “Let’s go over the mechanics now, eh?” Leorio quickly backpedaled. After a long and awkward talk that involved rolling a condom onto the banana Leorio happened to have in his lunchbox—“Gon! You’re in luck! I ran out of apples this morning!”— Leorio finally stood. “Wait here for a bit, I’ll take the elevator down to the main floor where the clinic is and I’ll bring some stuff back for you.” Gon, still sitting with pink tinged cheeks, nodded a confirmation before he head out the door. Gon’s brain was working in overdrive, trying to process all of the new information he had just received, on top of all the new feelings said information had stirred up. Thoughts of condoms, lube, and a certain blue eyed boy were flashing through his mind as he stared blankly out the window at a darkening sky dotted with city lights. He must’ve been truly lost in thought, as he didn’t even notice Leorio return until a hand was on his shoulder, and a small cellophane bag was being placed onto his lap. “There ya go Gon! It’s your ‘Becoming A Man’ Starter Kit. That should be everything you need. For now, at least. There’s pamphlets, some lube, and some condoms. Make sure you practice putting them on! I can’t tell you how embarrassing it is when you’re in the moment and you can’t figure the damn thing out—” Gon stood abruptly, legs shaky, and threw his arms around his friend. “Thank you, Leorio!” He gave a tight squeeze before letting go. “I appreciate all of your help. I didn’t know who else to go to-“ a long finger wagging in the air cut him off. “Now, now! No need to thank me, I’m your friend, Gon. That’s what I’m here for! Not to mention, this was good practice for me! I am a doctor after all, if I couldn’t handle this, I would’ve needed to turn my license in!” The man laughed. Gon looked up at him with a huge smile. “You’re a great friend, and a great doctor Leorio!” He exclaimed, shooting him a thumbs up. Gon could swear he saw another tear in the corner of Leorio’s eye as he returned the thumbs up. “Ah, well. Thank you Gon. I’m glad you think so! Now, off you go! I’ve got some stuff to check on down stairs and you’ve got some practicing to do!” Gon let out an exasperated groan, and Leorio laughed boisterously as they walked out of the office together.

Prompt fill hxh
Thank you so much for your prompt ask @princeasimdiya12 ! This is a super long prompt fill just for you!
Tumblr media
Okay, so I wrote this in the middle of a humongous writer's block, so please excuse the writing style. REMEMBER, I AM ALWAYS TAKING PROMPTS!! They're very helpful for unblocking blocks! Anyways, this story is loosely inspired by Aladdin, I guess, although I’m not quite sure exactly what time period or where these events take place. Oh, and there is Leorio/Kurapika, Gon/Killua, and one-sided Chrollo/Kurapika in this. Uh, and I didn’t edit this before posting, sorry.
“Shit, shit, shit!”
Gon frowned at the other’s language. “If you hadn’t stolen that artifact from those thieves, Leorio, we wouldn’t be in this situation,” the boy chided gently.
“You can’t steal what didn’t belong to the owners in the first place!” Leorio exclaimed, sneaking a quick look behind him. “Crap! They’re getting closer!” Grabbing the younger boy’s arm, Leorio poured on the speed, weaving in and out of the jumbled network of streets as they went.
“There!” Gon gasped out, pointing to a nearby clearing with numerous people milling around in large clumps. “The agora!”
The pair dove into the crowd, hoping that, with their drab clothing, they’d be able to blend in. Most of the people in the open marketplace were too busy haggling with the merchants or talking with their companions to notice two more unkempt and frankly unscrupulous-looking teens entering the space.
When it appeared that their pursuers were no longer hounding them, Leorio breathed a huge sigh of relief as Gon shoved his hands into his pockets.
“Why did you have to steal that thing, anyway?” he asked.
Leorio raised an eyebrow. “You really don’t remember?”
The other shook his head, expression bright and honest.
“You really need to work on hiding your emotions better, kid,” Leorio advised.
“Hey! I’m only two years younger than you!”
“My point exactly. Now, about the ‘thing’ that I rescued, I really wasn’t lying about how the thieves didn’t own it themselves. It’s some sort of heirloom of the royal court or something. There’s a heavy reward for anyone that returns it. Pretty weird people, those royals.”
“No kidding,” Gon muttered, “what kind of heirloom is a pair of eyeballs?”
“You think I’d know?”
The spiky-haired boy continued, “So we’re just going to give it back, then?”
“Hell no!” Leorio tapped his jacket pocket. “This baby is worth double the reward money on the black market! We’ll be set for months!”
“But that’s not the right thing to do,” Gon replied uneasily.
Fixing the other with a skeptical look, Leorio let out an exasperated huff. “Look, morals don’t put food on the table. I learned that a long time ago.” Doing the right thing hadn’t kept his friend alive, either.
“Is Pietro — “
“He’s fine,” Leorio snapped back, with more force than necessary. Gon deflated a bit.
“Do you at least still have the eyes?” Gon asked instead, reluctance evident in his tone. He wasn’t going to try to stop the older man, because he, too, had mouths to feed, but he wasn’t going to take any pride in it, either.
“Yeah.” Leorio tugged the glass case out of his tattered outer-robes. Right as he took them out, however, the contents glowed impossibly bright, like a beacon.
It wouldn’t have been a problem if it hadn’t attracted the attention of a certain band of thieves. Big, strong, pissed-off thieves.
“Well, shit,” Leorio whispered, watching the criminals slink closer in the crowds. Run, he mouthed to Gon, and the two of them sprinted out of the market square as quickly as they could.
Back to square one, Leorio thought bitterly to himself.
Racing into the narrow alleyways, Leorio cursed to himself when his back literally hit the wall. The wall separating the glittering royal castle and the sprawling cities of the plebeians, to be exact.
“Leorio, what do we do?” Gon asked frantically, the heavy sounds of incoming footsteps echoing loudly in against the stone pavements.
Hands scrabbling frantically against the stone walls, Leorio cried out in relief when a single stone gave way, leaving an entrance barely big enough to for the both of them to squeeze through.
“That’s oddly convenient,” Gon murmured, peering inside.
“Don’t question it,” Leorio responded, shoving the other boy through before climbing in himself.
Thankfully, the drop was only a couple feet, and Leorio wasted no time plugging the stone back in as the horde of angry thieves came into view through the gap in the wall.
“That was close,” Gon breathed, and for a brief few seconds, the pair exhaled in relief. That is, until they realized that they had company.
“Excuse me — “
Leorio’s head spun to face the speaker, almost whacking his head on the case of eyeballs as he did so.
Because, hot damn, the man in front of him was gorgeous.
“ — but what exactly are you doing?”
Blonde hair like spun gold was arranged in soft waves around a heart-shaped face, and delicate features sat in perfect proportion with each other. Piercing blue eyes peered out from thick lashes, and Leorio swallowed thickly. A slender frame was wrapped in fine fabrics, colored brightly in the hues of the royal family. Leorio became very aware of the ratty state of his clothing. Gold jewelry glittered from the man’s ears and neck, but the rich metal paled in comparison to the wearer’s beauty.
Leorio wasn’t much for poetry, but this person... this divine being was worthy of infinite verses.
“Hey Leorio,” Gon whispered, elbowing him in the ribs, “it’s rude to stare.”
Snapping out of his reverie, it occurred to Leorio that he had just landed in the gardens of the royal palace, and that if he didn’t start speaking soon, he could very well end up dead or with his hands cut off. Or both.
“Is that the stupid family heirloom that your dad keeps on yapping about?” another voice said, and a sliver-haired teen stepped out from one of the flower hedges.
It was Gon’s turn to gape, and Leorio decided that is anyone was going to be able to explain anything, it would have to be him. I just hope I don’t get us killed...
“Oh, this?” Leorio offered the case to the blond, who accepted it with shaking hands. “We retrieved it from a band of thieves, and we were going to return it to the guards at the front gates when those thieves started pursuing us.” Gon stiffened slightly at the lie, but allowed it nonetheless.
The breathtaking man, who Leorio assumed was the prince, glanced up at him with nothing short of gratitude in his eyes. “You risked your lives for this?”
Leorio cleared his throat, straightening his posture. “Yes,” he replied, trying to sound casual but failing miserably.
The silver-haired boy rolled his eyes at the scene. “Great. Now we can pay them and then they can leave.” Gon’s million-watt smile dampened visibly at the other’s quick dismissal.
“No, no,” the blonde exclaimed quickly, “we should invite them to dinner, at least. They did go through quite some trouble for this.” Leorio could’ve died right on the spot and he wouldn’t have cared, with how sweetly the prince was smiling at him.
“Oh, so just because you like him you’re going to bring him to dinner?” the pale boy teased, a smirk crawling up his features.
The blond blushed prettily. “Killua!”
“Kurapika!” Ah, so that’s his name.
All four of their heads swung to the other side of the gardens, where a dark-haired young man was running toward them. At once, Leorio noted how Killua tensed at the presence of the newcomer.
“Your father and I were wondering where you had gone,” the man said chidingly, his voice unfairly smooth and a tad seductive. Leorio bristled.
“Mister Lucilfer,” Kurapika acknowledged, voice immediately growing more distant.
“Darling, you only call me that when you’re angry with me,” the dark-haired man sighed, sliding a hand around his waist.
Leorio’s heart was about ready to jump off of a cliff.
“Then I am angry with you always,” Kurapika snapped back, although there wasn’t much bite to his tone, almost as if he was restraining himself.
The imbecile man chuckled, pressing a kiss to the blond’s knuckles, something that Kurapika observed with austere indifference.
“And who are these two gentlemen?” Kuroro asked, although the sharp glint in his eyes didn’t quite match his amicable tone.
“Oh,” Kurapika exclaimed, taking the opportunity to rip his hand from the other’s grasp, “they’re the ones that returned my father’s prized heirloom. At the expense of their own lives, of course.”
“How... nice,” the dark-haired man managed. Kurapika smiled innocently at his strained expression.
“I’m sorry, but I didn’t quite catch your names,” Kurapika said.
At once, Leorio brightened at the blond’s returning smile. “It’s Leorio, your highness.”
“And I’m Gon!” Gon exclaimed cheerily. Killua smothered back a smile.
“Ah, I see,” Lucilfer replied, tone slightly patronizing. “And I am Chrollo Lucilfer, Crown Prince Kurapika’s fiance—“
“—vizier,” Kurapika quickly corrected him. “He is my father’s vizier.” Pinning the other man with an undecipherable stare, the blond muttered to him, “My father hasn’t agreed to you yet, you bastard.”
All he got in response was an irritatingly earnest smile, one that was most likely fake. “Not yet, my love, but soon.”
Killua pretended to gag in the background.
“Ahem,” Leorio interjected, not quite liking how close the two were getting to each other. Chrollo stepped backwards quickly, as if burned, and Kurapika breathed a huge sigh in relief. “About the whole dinner arrangement...”
“Oh, right! Come with me,” Kurapika ordered, dragging Leorio and Gon along with him before Chrollo could so much as say a word.
Leorio sighed.
I guess I can never really catch a break, can I?
So this turned out reaaaaallly long, so apologies for that. So I made Chrollo have a cameo as Jafar(ish). Sorry again for the disjointed writing style, and please let me know if you want more of this!
