so there's this post that talks about how people call jason's curved knife a kris but it's not a kris 'cuz why would he have a southeast asian knife? and op's tags say if you're gonna give him an 'exotic' weapon at least make him malay or something. a later reblog adds a filipino kris as an example, and then i was like, 'omg, jason in a barong tho.' SO i tried designing a bat-barong inspired by his hood logo, for a filipino jason haha. and now here we are! 😊✨️🇵🇭

Also. Also. Thorfinns sleepin in the same spot at the ships stern. Originally had the rudders tiller bar visible, but realized in storage itd be removed + just outta the water, the rudder'd hafta be turned completely to the side, so still not visible :T

Last thing is just HC- but i think thorfinn probably stayed/slept out in the boathouse as much as possible while everyone else partied in the longhouse you can see in the background of gorms village. He already doesnt like his 'co-workers' but too everyone in this village loves askeladd and woulda just watched him lose a fight. Kid probably just wants to be left alone.

Reading the cult AU stuff really got my brain going, I just began imagining another Dipper but one so embroiled in monster hunting that when he first meets Bill it's after defeating a whole group of lower rank demons trying to curry favour with our favorite Angle man.

Bill is welcomed by a crossbow to the face and a distinct feeling of actual pain because this Dipper is able to do some damage. And Bill...the absolute smartest idiot himbo demon you will ever meet.

He just opens his gob and says;

"oh, skipping the first date and going straight to the foreplay?"

(Dipper makes him look like a pincushion for his troubles, or at least tries to. 😂)
