She drops the ball on her responsibilities most of the time, and when she does do her job she does it badly and with attitude. She's angry, antisocial, and aggressive, and she won't hesitate to get in anyone's face about anything. (She's also quite loyal, surprisingly kind, shy, and very sweet...but she wouldn't want you to know that. And we're not covering anything they wouldn't want you to know!!)

ania livias- citra murders ania's husband. he does a lot of murder. and ania hates him for it. at the same time, she loses precious protection by not marrying him. she activates citra's mommy issues. citra infuriates her. the two of them are incredibly horrible for each other, and ania leaves him pretty soon after their whirlwind affair. it tears him up. the worst thing about his thing for older people is that he wants validation and he also murdered her husband so ania isnt willing to give it to him unless the exchange is transactional.

We Never Stood a Chance...

           In a world so connected, it can be hard to think about those who live under the radar. Let’s be honest: There are more than we think of who are disconnected from our world today.             That was me. I can see myself now at probably nine or ten wearing a plain boys' T-shirt my mom got for me because it was the only thing appropriate. For some reason, I remember that T-shirt. It was bright orange, and I loved it. I wore my jean shorts that ended just above the knee. I was clueless, but I was not innocent. That had been literally and figuratively beaten out of me, but there were some days like that day when everything felt okay. I think sometimes that’s why dressing that way was a safe place for me for so many years. The nights when I got to be a kid were rare and for some reason, that shirt stays with me.

            My dad had anger issues and my mom had enough internalized misogyny to choke a horse. In the end, none of us ever really stood a chance. My dad had given his life to Jesus as a young man, probably about my age now. I think you have to admire the irony of him becoming a christian at a similar age to me becoming an atheist. My mom followed shortly after and man did they take it to heart. I think we would have always been abused, but this just added another layer to the trauma we’d all go through.

            So let’s talk about homeschooling. I remember what other kids would say. Do you get to do school in your pajamas? You get to sleep in don’t you? Man, I wish I was homeschooled. What was the reality? I mean for a while I didn’t hate it. My mom had been a teacher and she was a good one. Until she adopted my younger siblings. Triplets. I was seven and I became a part-time mom. Feeding, changing, cleaning, and the list goes on. My schooling changed after that. I mean my mom still taught me for a while, but then it fell off and I began to work through the textbooks on my own. I can’t say I understood it all and to this day I desperately wish I had a math teacher.

            Then my mom got sick. I think she was down for about six months and I took on teaching and cleaning. My dad made it hell. The younger siblings would cry to dad about how mean we were and he would come up and scream at everyone for good measure. I remember I threw out a spider ball I found while cleaning because I didn’t know what it was and he screamed at me for fifteen minutes. I hated him. In that moment, and now if I let myself. Hated the way he made me, at twelve or thirteen, feel. He was my monster and he still is. We used to wish and pray he would just go to work. Other people came to help later, but they were an older couple and I can’t say they did much teaching, but at least when other people were there my dad didn’t scream as much.

            Hate is such an interesting word. I was never supposed to say I hate anyone because that was a sin. So, let me say it now. I hated my dad. Hated how he would yell. Hated how he preached peace and love but practiced hate and violence. Hated how he would hit, kick, shove, and abuse. I fucking hated him. Hated him so much it hurt. He taught me to suffer male violence and he taught my brothers to perpetrate violence. He truly was my monster and despite all the hate I loved him. I desperately needed his approval. I needed him to love me, but I don’t think he knew how. Do I forgive him? No forgiveness is such a bullshit christian word. I do not forgive him, but I have learned to understand him better.

            So let’s talk about christian fundamentalism. You know the religion of “peace.” Well, that’s just a wicked lie. There was never anything peaceful about our religion. Even Jesus who everyone claims to be good preached division and war. Noah’s Ark is a story about the worldwide flood often taught to children. But here’s what it is basically saying, So God decided he regretted his creation (even though he knew exactly what was going to happen) so much that he was going to send a worldwide flood to genocide everyone. Except he decided to save this one guy and his family. Then they teach this to babies. So peaceful and so loving. No wonder Christianity has been responsible for so many wars and genocides, but it doesn’t end there. Please just read Deuteronomy. The Gnostics in the early christian church talked about how the god of the old testament was the evil guy and Jesus came to preach a new way. Although I am not Jesus’s biggest fan it makes more sense than the now popular interpretation.

            What does having such a literal interpretation of the Bible mean for everyday life as a christian child. I think I'll save that for the next one, but let me tell you, it was anything but peaceful.

21. part of canon you think is overhyped

Honestly. Mac Finds His Pride. I love the idea of Mac accepting himself and coming out to his dad and Frank saying “I get it”, but everything else about the episode is uh. Like the weird Goldilocks “this place is too sexual, this place isn’t sexual enough” beginning of the episode is so unfunny to me and I get that the idea is Mac feels like he can’t give anything a chance until he talks to his dad, but that still leaves me with an episode that’s largely boring and annoying to me until the one single Emotional Moment. And said emotional moment doesn’t even have any sort of impact on the narrative. They say “oh Mac’s finally more comfortable being gay” but to me he doesn’t act any different in episodes going forward than before. In season 15 he’s back to desperately trying to find connection with his dad in Ireland so his dad rejecting him again seemingly didn’t actually change how Mac saw him or himself at all. In season 16 with Shoots it’s even worse—he literally chooses his dad over another gay man in a weird “I’ll always choose my father’s imagined approval over homosexual community and solidarity” move that completely goes back on the lesson he supposedly learned. So what does MFHP have left? A single (very beautiful and artistic) coming out dance that doesn’t even seem to matter in the grand scheme of Mac’s life? Hero or Hate Crime is a more impactful coming out with more tangible effects on the characters and narrative. “Well MFHP is really about Frank!” Okay even if you wanna go there does he actually act meaningfully less homophobic after? Does he actually start being more of a father figure to Mac? I’d argue no. It’s wild to me that this is the episode that gets the most press and praise and attention even to this day because I think it’s honestly a really poor example of what Sunny can do both comedically and emotionally. But that’s just my opinion, I get why so many people still connect to it and love it.

22. your favorite part of canon that everyone else ignores

I’ve seen people talk about him so it’s not “everyone” but I feel like most people ignore Frank in general beyond how he affects the rest of the cast. Which is understandable, but his mind is fascinating to me—he wants so badly to be loved and form connections with people but he’s so paranoid about being fucked over he fucks over everyone else before they can get too close. Despite all his vibrato he seems to genuinely believe no one but Charlie could ever like him for his personality. And even with Charlie he has to be the one in control of the relationship at all times to feel safe. But he’s also the most secure of anyone in the gang because he knows that his pursuit of wealth made him do monstrous thing but he doesn’t care because he fully embraces being a monster. Everyone else in the gang tries to justify themselves but Frank knows he’s evil and is cool with being that way. And I think that’s neat.

I literally had to delete it from that previous post because I was going off on the same tangent as I've been going off on for the last week, but my basic problems with Yellowstone are: - With a handful of exceptions, the characters are all becoming the unfun kind of unlikeable and I’m not sure the show knows this - Characters standing around while others deliver zingers and don’t retort back can work occasionally to show when a character is overwhelmed, but too often it’s used just to jerk off the character of the scene and after five seasons of it I’m bored - And most severely: STOP MAKING ME WANT TO DEFEND JAMIE, I DO NOT WANT TO DEFEND JAMIE Do you know how hard a show has to fuck up for me to stop liking a character like Beth?  She is my JAM, a hot mess of a lady character who has all these hard, jagged edges, who is legitimately mean and cruel at times, but there’s such worth to her, in her soul, she has her massive internal world and motivations that drive her, she’s the kind you can peel back the layers on for days and still find more to talk about!  I loved Beth so very much. But then the show took this weird turn into making Jamie the villain and, like, yeah, he’s absolutely a shit, but the refusal of the narrative to recognize the things that I have seen the other characters do to him, is driving me batshit.  John fucked that boy up!!  John swings back and forth on whether or not he even really loved Jamie, like you don’t think Jamie felt that all his life?  Beth herself even says that John made Jamie into this and made him desperately want John’s approval and John hates him for it, and it’s like yeah!!! and then the show’s tone is like, “And that’s all Jamie’s fault.” because that’s the way Beth treats him. And it’s like.  Mr. Sheridan.  I’m begging you.  When Beth says to Jamie, “You hurt people and then blame them for being hurt, that’s evil, Jamie.” she’s 100% right and I get that the characters wouldn’t get the massive hypocrisy there, but YOU THE SHOW WRITER should be getting it, but it’s nowhere in there!   Or, like, Beth has repeatedly been wrong about Jamie (he wasn’t involved in the season 3 finale’s attacks on the family, but she was sure he was, etc.) but is still treated as being insightful and dead-on about seeing into how Jamie’s just a disloyal snake who was born evil or whatever. I loved the show back in the first couple of seasons, that moment when Jamie tells her, “If hating me keeps you from hating yourself, I can live with that.” like OHHHH that was some good, complicated, tasty stuff!  But this turn into not even acknowledging how deeply John fucked Jamie up and that Beth contributed to that (there used to be brief moments of Kayce commenting that Beth had gotten too twisted up about Jamie that made me think the show was still acknowledging it, but it’s been like 2+ seasons since then, it feels like) and I’m just. I DO NOT WANT TO DEFEND JAMIE, HE IS A SHIT, but I can’t stand how the writing has taken this turn into John and Beth being not at all responsible for this shitshow and it’s ruining even all their other scenes, because the show used to be pretty good at showing that, yeah, these characters were ALL fuckups, I am totally onboard for the show about characters who are all fucking awful and they all hurt each other!  But I think the show is trying to make Jamie evil in a way that’s not being earned and it’s driving me up the WALL because, like, now I have to spend time thinking about Jamie when I could have been doing anything else.

I typed this all out in a feverish state so ermmm read more ig LAWL! Also inviting @nt3000s to add anything, I didn't mention a lot in the grand scheme of things and also maybe misrepresented Jen I don't know but I will be mostly speaking about bens side I think. Either way this is a very broad overview bc I've never gotten the chance to even really dump about that

Also a couple things are mentioned in passing I want to mention namely sexual assault, self harm and suicide but none of this is really in any kind of detail

I always tag Bennifer with all this shit that sounds contradictory like they hate each other they're ripping each other apart but they love each other they're doomed to be together they're destined for it etc etc but you have to trust me. When I say it is literally all of those things.

Ben belongs to me and he is your typical tormented repressed transfag caught in the bonds of late 90s society and his conservative upbringing while Jennifer belongs to my Buddy I tagged up there is also a transfag but in a different direction and I think the best way I can summarize him is he seems insane but really all of it is calculated for everyone to hate him on purpose(and he is a nurse that kills people) and the thing about them is that they are doomed from the start and somehow when they come together that cancels out and they make it out of anything but their own lives alive(also they are silent hill ocs but like that. Barely even matters anymore)

I think the way this happens is they're entirely different at first glance but if you dig a little deeper they are exactly the fucking same in ways they can't imagine even if it manifests on opposite ends of a spectrum ex: Jen is always the center of attention while Ben cannot stand anyone even so much as looking at him most of the time, Jennifer harms others as a source of control while Ben only hurts himself(both of these behaviors manifest from a life filled with nothing but sorrow), Jen is terminally ill and is running on a ticking clock while Ben has a sound body but his mental illness is so debilitating he is looking for any way he can be dead without doing it himself(that is a sin)((he asks Jennifer to kill him and he can't do it)) and my personal favorite due to feeling like nothing but a body because of sexual assault Jen leans into it in a superficial way having sex as often as he can get away with Ben will lose his mind if somebody touches him beyond like. His hands or something. That's not even touching on the Murders

And the way this works is they meet and they hate each other at first with their own selfish motives Ben wants to sacrifice Jen for God's approval to serve as some sort of martyr and Jen sees Ben for what he is, which is somebody very unsound and potentially dangerous and wants to see if he can make him break. But wouldn't you know it those similarities start to surface and in some desperate attempt for any kind of human connection they get attached. Against any better judgment. I can only speak for Ben's side but he sees himself in the other and it's more human connection and familiarity than he has known in his entire life and for once he does not feel entirely alienated by this guy he just met.

And that's the basis of the whole relationship they are such awful and broken people it can go wrong in a million ways Jen can kill Ben Ben can kill Jen they can escape silent hill and try to make things work and they don't because they're so stubborn and terrible at their cores, but when the stars align sometimes they can ride out the rest of their lives and heal as much as somebody can when you've lived the lives they have. But how it plays out doesn't matter it doesn't matter how they meet if they're even in Silent Hill or if they end up murdering each other or how awful their story ends because whatever happens that connection is still there it's always there and there is always love. At the end of the day no matter how small it is they will always love each other. Even if it's for one passing moment or if it's for the rest of their lives or if it's because Ben has a gun to his head and he's so thankful to finally be dead he loves Jen as the executioner or if it's because Ben has his hands around Jens throat and Jennifer in an effort to come out on top one last time kisses Ben, the love is always there and it always matters because it's all they have ever known. They always end each other or if not end each other they are with each other until the end. They're a package deal at this point in any universe or au or whatever

Conrad, in a last-ditch effort to win Nick’s approval, tracks down a way to swap their bodies, offering to make the switch without telling anyone else. As much as Nick hates the idea of literally Becoming Conrad, being flesh and blood again is too good to give up. Maybe he’s planning to switch again to another human body.

He does not say yes to this right away. He's got a more elaborate plan.

It's been demonstrated that some people who've died and been resurrected, or have certain supernatural abilities, can see / sense if there's multiple souls inhabiting one body. It stands to reason they can tell if someone's been switched, too. Even though he plans to leave the country Nick has to kill everyone with these abilities who know the both of them to be sure that the switch is never discovered. Additionally, he has to get Conrad completely wrapped around his finger and dispose of him right after.

So he starts undermining all the work Conrad's been doing in therapy. Claiming yes, you were right. I have loved you, too, all this time, but I was too scared to admit it. Sneaking into Booker's office to read his file, deliberately feeding all the things Conrad remembers happening, but he doesn't. Meeting him in secret, looking at him with such pained longing whenever he takes a single step closer...

And then getting Conrad to axe off any threat. Some they made to look like an accident, but others... Others Conrad did it and Nick handled the cleanup.

And THEN once they swap bodies, "Conrad" has a breakdown confessing to what "Nick" made him do. The incessant calls, the flowery love letters, wearing him down day after day until he fell back into old habits.

Nick did a fantastic balancing act. He knew to cover up most things, because "Nick" would know exactly how to do that, but left a handful of clues. There's no such thing as a perfect murder, in the heat of the moment there's always something going wrong, so long as that part didn't get too out of hand, he would be fine.

Whatever the thing used to switch them is, it has to be immovable. A chamber or a ritual altar of some kind, not something he can easily hide, the location itself has to be incriminating so there's still a threat that they get connected to it somehow.

But not enough that Eddie can prove his suspicions. That maybe "Nick's" desperate claims of swapping places is actually... No. No, that can't be right.

The older I get the less and less I like Keith Mars and the more I connect his behavior to making Veronica’s life so much worse

The show is all about criticizing the wealthy elite yet Keith Mars every chance he gets is pushing Veronica to become one!! “Got to and ivy league school and get a high powered corporate job and never think about private investigation again in your perfect life”

First of all thinking her life will be perfect just because she has a well paying job is CLOWNERY. Her best friend was murdered and her alcoholic mother abandoned her in the same year and she lost all of her friends because of how poorly Keith went about investigating said murder AND she’s sa’s twice in the same night once by her ex she gets back together with and a future mass murderer. Those are not the usual childhood things to happen to a person and a high paying job isn’t what’s gonna magically make her happy and give her a good life. It’s so frustrating that we get “oh my god they care more about spring break business than saving lives that’s soooo fucked up” yet Keith is like YOU MUST PLAY THE CAPITALISM GAME AND WIN OR YOUR LIFE IS A FAILURE every chance he can.

And when he finds out she helped Duncan kidnap his daughter and he’s like “I wouldn’t survive if you went to jail or something happened to you” ummmmmm codependency with your child much???!!!!?!?! Again SO MUCH PRESSURE ON HER telling your child can’t live without them is so inappropriate on so many levels because you’re literally saying my well-being is tied to yours which is literally the definition of codependency. So he forms this codependent relationship with his daughter but then is sooo disappointed with her that she wants to stay in Neptune and work with him like the mixed messaging is INSANE.

And while I don’t really view Lilly as the good person the show paints her as she was really good for Veronica because she helped her push back against a very overbearing, overprotective father which is really important for childhood development.

It’s another reason I HATE the finale of season 4 so much. She is literally EXACTLY back where she started in season 4 including being overly dependent on her dad while losing the only person who she cared for more than pleasing her father because she knew he didn’t want her to be with Logan but she did anyway because it’s what she wanted. She didn’t want law school, she didn’t want New York, she didn’t want Piz. Those were all to make her dad happy after everything that went down at the end of season 3. The movie was her finally, after NINE YEARS forgiving herself or at least letting herself off the hook for her mistakes and letting herself live her life the way she wanted again. She lived a life she didn’t want for almost a DECADE purely to please her dad.

I mean the fact that she never tells her dad about being sa’d, especially after Lamb doesn’t believe her - not because she can’t talk about it but because she’s afraid of what he’ll do/how he’ll react - that’s BAD. That is a sign of TERRIBLE parenting mistakes that your child feels the need to protect you from the awful things that happen to them.

I still don’t hate Keith and I do enjoy their dynamic a lot of the time still but Oooooooh does he piss me off especially when he’s adding to Veronica’s guilt or burden, usually in a very hypocritical way.

why do you like jake so much?

because i love it when characters are difficult and complicated and their characterization escapes the vast majority of a fanbase. there is SO MUCH to jakes character and a lot of it gets misconstrued/misunderstood or straight up just blown past. also jake has a lot of "required reading" as i like to call it irt movies, many of the movies and medias he enjoys can be looped back around into the reader's understanding of him; big examples here are princess bride (which i actually havent seen yet but i Understand how it impacts him), avatar, and i would say even his interest in comics! Everything is Something with jake.

if were gonna use avatar for example. You might think Oh jonah. This is just his silly joke interest! which yeah thats true but it absolutely can be both and i choose to interpret it as such. but if youve seen avatar then youve seen the way neytiri and jakes relationship operates. Its literally dirkjake in a different font you guys. an important sentiment i always come back to with avatar is "i see you". jake wants to be Seen and Understood and Known but he is also very scared of being Seen and Understood and Known because he is, more than anything, a Faker. he hides the truth and even squirrels it away from himself and this is the thing that causes a lot of his internal strife and etc. in avatar jake sully at the end of the movie makes the choice to become a na'vi and be with neytiri. he literally changes himself to be with her (and ironically turns himself into a Blue Guy to be with the Blue Girl) and i think this is probably a really easy and quick way to explain the Jake Camouflage. jake Pretends and Fakes because he wants people to like him. he is desperate for validation and approval from other people to the point where it wears heavily on his wellbeing. this is one of my favorite things to play around with.

jakes relationship with gender and sexuality is also a really heavy hitter for me, i love gender and exploring gender and talking about gender because it is the Core of me as a Person. i <3 being nonbinary i will never shut up about it. Anyway. the way jake haphazardly traipses through all of his interactions with women he is "supposed to" be attracted to just screams closeted gay guy to me. like. Check this out.

I don't like to ageshame or whatever but Elon being like 50 and asking people to call him technoking or whatever stupid name the next neocities prompt site tells him to pick. Man have some shame. Maybe I'm just weak but I'd die of shame on the spot before publicly asking to be called technoking. I can't imagine an ex seeing that or my child seeing it. I'd like. Will get him profits (for the companies he cares about owning anyways.) that any time I hear Elon say anything ever I'm like "ok but does he really mean that." Yeah free speech wooo cool pog but like.... You can't just allow ALL speech Elon... You're allowed to limit specific types of speech dude... Remember when like. Right after he bought Twitter there was like an absolutely unprecedented amount of hate speech suddenly on the site. As in more than usual for Twitter. That's literally why Elon. Some people will post stuff that is LITERALLY illegal in the worst possible way dude. You have to have some limits and moderation!!! It might sound contradictory but you CAN be pro free speech but still limit hate speech. They can still think and say all of that, just not on your platform. I remember how when it happened my mom genuinely thought "it was the liberals" doing the hate speech. Girl what!!! I'm not going to say no liberal ever has done hate speech but the influx of hate speech when the pro free speech guy bought Twitter... It's gonna be people who are 1. Just kinda awful people 2. Want to test how far they can go 3. Sorry mom, more likely conservatives. Anyways they absolutely missed out on the chance to rename to "twt" I don't know where x comes from and I don't care it sounds dumb and like... Idk. Not Twitter. I also said this on my twt but y'know how Facebook rebranded to meta while they were in huge privacy scandals and scandals in general to instead hopefully change public perception of the company and grant them a "blank slate" to hopefully build a new better image. I slept in and just woke up, so here's what I've been able to figure out while sipping coffee:

Twitter has officially rebranded to X just a day or two after the move was announced.

The official branding is that a tweet is now called "an X", for which there are too many jokes to make.

The official account is still @twitter because someone else owns @X and they didn't reclaim the username first.

The logo is 𝕏 which is the Unicode character Unicode U+1D54F so the logo cannot be copyrighted and it is highly likely that it cannot be protected as a trademark.

Outside the visual logo, the trademark for the use of the name "X" in social media is held by Meta/Facebook, while the trademark for "X" in finance/commerce is owned by Microsoft.

The rebranding has been stopped in Japan as the term "X Japan" is trademarked by the band X JAPAN.

Elon had workers taking down the "Twitter" name from the side of the building. He did not have any permits to do this. The building owner called the cops who stopped the crew midway through so the sign just says "er".

He still plans to call his streaming and media hosting branch of the company as "Xvideo". Nobody tell him.

This man wants you to give him control over all of your financial information.
