One implication from The Infinite and The Divine’s strong worldbuilding that I keep coming back to is that, time being so meaningless to necrons, mortal species must be extremely annoying for them to deal with. So annoying, in fact, that it must border on being terrifying. 

Half a dozen generations of Tau can change during the time it takes Orikan the Diviner to have a proper meditation. And sure, it’s all “pathetic mortals” until you realize that, without the trademark imperial stagnancy, that is a lot of time to do something.

When Trazyn met Cawl on Cadia, the latter seemingly knew next to nothing about necron technology, and probably even necrons in general. But not much more than 20 years later - barely a discrete amount of time for immortals - we see Cawl hacking and manipulating necron tech on Pharos and slamming it with a C’tan shard.

Imagine going away for the weekend, and when you are back, the crows outside your house have learned to drive a fucking car. Probably yours. And will continue in that vein if you don’t do something about it very quickly and constantly. Because what for you is a distraction of a menial task, for them could be the purpose of their whole existence, at which they will come again, and again and again, never stopping, always dragging you down to their level of chaotic short-term existence.

I guess what I am saying is that it must be very hard to enjoy being untethered from the flow of time, while someone very tethered to it is out there trying to steal your whole shit.

I love this lil guy but I got some shit to say

If he was my own character I would re-write him. Like his story n shit is great n all but like, there's just something about him that makes me wanna dissect him and put him back together, I feel almost similarly about Jeff Woods, but not entirely and I don't feel like that with anyone else.

I wanna just cut him open methodically [I think that's the right word] and then I wanna just examine all his organs and all his pieces and then shape him into a different puzzle and put him back together

Like I'll be real I love the way he is. I am in a pit just examining everything about him

But like, there's just something about him that makes him so special and completely relatable at the same time and I've tried to replicate it into at least one of my many, many ocs but I just can't grasp it

So this is what I propose, I should be allowed to metaphorically dissect that man like a frog and rebuild him for my own education and then you people who look at my things can be the audience to tell me if he still has that factor that I can't seem to grasp and I then can take what I learn from that for my own ocs

But also at the same time I don't know where I would start and how I would be able to distinct the fans fiction of his character and the perfect canon of him and not mix them to add unnecessary extra factors

it’s crazy how absolutely blatantly luigi’s constitutional rights are being breached and people seem more concerned about his appearance than a real, scary view of the power CEOs and the healthcare industry have over the legal system. like yeah he looks good in those photos i can appreciate that too but can we focus on the fact that the media is absolutely treating him as if he has already been found guilty. this could happen to anyone. anyone could be arrested over the death of a wealthy, influential person and the precedent being set right now is essentially that the prosecution can run wild and create documentaries declaring your guilt. like that’s really serious and scary.

Sentient Mystery Shack, who is really biased towards Stan, so when Ford tells Stan he has to give it back after the summer it’s on sight.

Ford keeps tripping over nothing, nothing is where it's supposed to be and somehow he keeps running into closets when he tries to go outside.

But the worst part, the WORST part is that Ford's lightbulb just won't. Work. No matter what he does it keeps flickering and exploding.

Ford is spiraling. 

There is no reason why it shoudln’t work. All his trial runs work perfectly. He’s already checked the Shacks wiring three times and relearned this dimensions science from the ground up. 

Nothing works.

The Rift? Bill? The impending apocalypse? Eating? Sleep? Who cares about that. 

WHY. WONT. THE. LIGHTBULB. WORK???

It doesn’t help that Stan keeps laughing at him.

“Then you do it!” Ford eventually snaps at Stan.

Stan shrugs and with a little song under his breath screws his own lightbulb in. It works perfectly.

Stanford screams.
