oh my god i'm so abnormal about horror sans. why is he like that. he harms aliza for no reason other than sadistic enjoyment. he just wants to help his friends. he got so mad about his betrayal that he literally destroyed the only hope for monsterkind's survival. he's selfish. he never even got his eye back im pretty sure. he tricked his brother into eating human flesh. he's so above eating human flesh that he'd starve himself instead of eating it, but HE TRICKED HIS BROTHER INTO EATING IT!!!!!!!! but it's understandable because papyrus would die if he didn't and sans won't die as long as his eye is intact. he's a selfish hypocritical asshole who just wants to make things right. does he even feel guilt. he feels so much guilt it's paralyzing. he feels so much guilt he hates himself every day for it and can't fathom LIVING for anything other than raw survival. hi i read horrortale 24 hours ago and im normal about it.

For all the Horror skeletons: after like 15 good years on the Surface, they accidentally met Frisk/Chara working in a shop. What do they do?

Horrortale Sans - He doesn't recognize the cashier at first. It's only when he notices them freeze as well that his mind starts to click. They stay eyes in eyes for a solid five minutes, as Oak literally doesn't know what to do. His instinct is telling him to scream at that fucking kid that is not really a kid anymore, but... What would be the point? It was 15 years ago. He moved on. He's not angry anymore. He simply looks down and whispers a small "take care kiddo" on the way out. He doesn't have the strength to confront them. Not anymore. Maybe in a few months, but not today.

Horrortale Papyrus - Willow tried to escape to go see another cashier, but he got sent back right to Frisk. He's really uncomfortable, trying not to meet their eyes, but as soon as he does... He just feels terribly pained. It's actually not the first time Willow sees them, and he really wants to be friends again, but with Oak traumatized because of what Undyne did, and the fact it would probably hurt Toriel too, he never dared to talk to them. He shyly asks how they're doing, then just sighs. Maybe it's better they have a real conversation some time, right? Willow wants to move on for good from what happened Underground, and he feels like he needs to know what happened to Frisk, who is clearly not doing ok as well. He waited for them after their shift and they simply walked to a café to talk. Maybe things can still be better. He forgave Undyne and Alphys, he wants to forgive them too.

Horrorswap Sans - Nugget stays frozen in shock, then gives them a dark stare, abandons his cart, and leaves, pushing them with his shoulder on the way out. Chara tries to follow them, asking him to stop to talk, but Nugget can't. He just can't. He never forgot what happened Underground, he still suffers PTSD after all these years because of all the abuse Alphys pulled him through to keep him submissive and under her authority. It's maybe not Chara's fault, or maybe it is. He doesn't know anymore. Alphys twisted all his memories of the child to make him hate them. It's already a miracle he doesn't kill them on sight. He's not going to push his luck. He ignores them and leaves, never going back to this shop ever again. He's too scared of what he could do to them if he lost control, even after so long.

Horrorswap Papyrus - He tries to keep his calm, but he swears he's hyperventilating. Instead of staying hidden, Chara comes to him, worried about one of the customers being sick. They both experience a huge shock when they meet each other's eyes. Pumpkin struggles to contain his panic attack, but actually surprises himself by not fainting. He's not sure what to do now. Chara stays professional, even if they're clearly panicking too, and that actually comforts him a little. He signs a shy hello to them, and they answer back. It's awkward, it's terribly weird, but they actually talk a little, taking news of each other. Pumpkin is actually looking for their company after this. His brother and him parted ways a few years ago, and no one can really understand what he went through Underground. Chara is one of the link that proves him he was not crazy to fight for them. He can't understand why they never came back, but he's somewhere happy they don't. Alphys was too far gone. It would have ended terribly. Maybe he might come back to talk with them. Maybe they can be friends again. He still has some hope after all.

Horrorfell Sans - He's in complete shock. Because he thought the kid died, actually. Aliza told him they found notes of Frisk, and so with Toriel, he concluded Frisk never made it back to town and died somewhere. He should be angry for them not coming back, but right now, all he feels is a huge relief. He doesn't care about the past, what would be the point anyway, it has been 15 years, he's just happy they're alive and doing well. He's definitely friendly, and ok, maybe a little emotive. He immediately asks for a way to contact them, so they can at least say to his brother. He also announces them Toriel passed away, avoiding to say it's because she was heartbroken about their loss. He's sure she's watching from where she is, and finally at peace now. He wants to be there for Frisk.

Horrorfell Papyrus - Like his brother, he's in shock. Not only he believe they were dead, but he also had a hard time grieving them. Chief got more attached than he thought he would the first time he met them. He risked his life for this kid, and he defended them facing Undyne, which is one of the reasons he's still in a wheelchair 15 years later. He felt guilty because he encouraged them to go outside and thought they died because he didn't prepare them enough. He searched for their body for two weeks after he got out, hoping to find at least something to bury or a faint memory. Chief breaks down completely. He's furious, but that's a huge weight out of his shoulders. He's just happy they survived. He's inviting them home. They need to talk. He needs to understand. But for the first time in a long time, he's really happy.

HI SO. this is from an au where i indulge myself in my ficwriter nature. and make everybody alive. chara never does their plan so they never die so asriel never dies either so asgore never declares war on humanity. and hten i squash the timeline together so all the fallen humans fall within a couple dozen years of each other instead of over probably hundreds of years like they probably do in canon.

Constance AKA Connie, the purple/Perseverance-souled human. they fell at 14 years old and are now 48. considers themself an anthropologist despite no formal training, and has taken particular interest in the role of puzzles in monster society. acts as caretaker of the ruins, viewing it as an important historical site. as seen as they saw a single gray hair they dyed all of it that color so they could tell people they were Mature and Sophisticated now. first person to discover Frisk when they fell, has Zero childrearing instinct so instead of treating them like their kid immediately started treating them as a friend, confidante, and research partner.

Dinah, the yellow/Justice-souled human. she fell at 13 years old and is now 36. she was abused and is very distrustful to humans because of this + experiences with Drew (wait a bit and you'll see.) watches all humans who fall very very Very closely waiting for them to step out of line. one of only four members of the Underground's Royal Guard alongside Undyne, Dogamy, and Dogaressa. Crops up multiple times over Frisk's journey and essentially takes the role of a more openly judgemental Sans. that's a tattoo, not a real scar, don't ask her about it she sort of regrets it. has trouble opening up with new people and only has a few close friends in the Underground.

Emmett, the blue/Integrity-souled human. fell at 11 years old, is now 30. trans man, ran away from home while still in the closet to escape parents he hated. used to do ballet, hates it now but still loves other forms of dance. Mettaton is his best friend in the underground, but he's very social in general. wants desperately to see his brother Drew again, but Drew's been avoiding him. they dont have hormones in the underground so hes transitioning via magic and everyone is very, Very curious how thats going to turn out.

Andrew (Drew for short), the orange/Bravery-souled human. he fell at 17 and is now 35. came to Mt. Ebbott searching for his sister Emily, who ran away and went missing there a year ago, and upon seeing monsterkind was openly distrustful and hostile to them. in fact, he lashed out so strongly while looking for Emily that he injured several monsters and killed Dogamy's mother. Dinah was able to apprehend him in Snowdin, but one of the warning shots she fired struck a block of ice, creating shrapnel that took his eye. he was lucky the wound wasn't worse. he now lives in Waterfall, doing rehabilitative community service under the watchful and distrustful eye of Undyne. there's 12 years left on his sentence. he and Dinah refuse to speak to each other. he regrets what happened deeply, and doesn't want to talk to Emmett because he doesn't think he deserves for Emmett to forgive him. in general, avoids talking to people, only speaking as required to the people involved in rehabilitating him, though Ndidi and Aliza have made some progress in getting him to accept their friendship.

Ndidi, the light blue/Patience-souled human. they fell at 6 years old and are now 16. Nigerian mother, Irish-American father. transfeminine, transitioned socially but no interest in medical transition at the moment. the Underground's absolute DARLING, beloved by all. raised by Toriel and Asgore (who had retired and left Chara and Asriel to rule the kingdom by the time she fell.) this makes the rulers of the Underground her siblings, a privilege she exploits shamelessly, alongside their privilege of being adorable. heard about Drew and his history when she was 7 and decided she would be the one to rehabilitate him. kept showing up and pestering him and he couldn't ignore her because she's a LITERAL CHILD, and because she kept showing up he Sort Of Also Raised Her. if pressed about it both of them would say their relationship these days is purely platonic but it definitely at least USED to be familial in some way.

Aliza, the green/Kindness-souled human. she fell at 13 years old and is currently 21. Ashkenazi Jewish ethnically, reform religiously. natural-born leader and unreasonably good cook. got lost and fell into the Underground in the few days between her 13th birthday and when her bat mitzvah service was supposed to happen and cries when she thinks about what her family must think, so she tries not to think about it. did eventually have a bat mitzvah service, though there isnt a Torah anywhere in the Underground so she had to improvise somewhat. one of Alphys's only friends and visits her frequently (because she worries about her mental health (with good reason!!!)). wore Drew down with various gifts of food until he accepted her friendship.

also heres adult Chara. fell at 8, is now 46. Ruler of the Underground. not as openly anti-human as in canon, but still doesn't exactly trust them and wants to see any new humans that fall before allowing them to live in the Underground. thinks Drew shouldve been given the death penalty, but Asriel talked them down. hasnt voiced this to anyone, but if a human ever died in the Underground they would want a monster to take their soul, cross the Barrier, and take six more souls from "deserving" humans in order to break the Barrier.

Transcript: I don’t think it’s talked about enough how bad Nuvex actually is in making aus. Frist of all we have to put the whole argument about ut frisks gender and age aside.

So let’s look at the one with core!fisk error and ink. Frisk fell into the void and error came to save “her”. NO HE DID NOT! ERROR AND FRISK ARE FROM DIFFERENT TIMELINES WTF! AND CORE!FRISK IS CANONICALLY A CHILD AND NON-BINARY! AT LEAST MAKE THE AUS CANON.

Now Underfell, nuvex could’ve just made frisks design look like their canon one and there wouldn’t be a problem. But noooo let’s copy story fell!chara’s design and get even more controversy. Again, frisk in underfell is canonically a child and non-binary. Oh and did I mention how perverted sans acts in this?

Now about horrortale, same argument about frisks age and gender. And I think someone already talked about it here, like the monsters would not forgive frisk and sans would not date “her” and frisk looks wayyy to similar to aliza man, same purple dress and lighter brown hair.

Overall the aus nuvex makes are not really good and just look lazy, but I have to give it to her, her art is pretty decent.

Now this does not mean anyone should harass her, be kind and respectful because she has been gone for a year I think, and that’s maybe because of the hate she got, so if she returns and you really want to tell this to her, please be nice and don’t send any hate! Just because you dislike her art and aus doesn’t mean she deserves any of that.

Matt and I were walking to our next class that we had together before I realized I had forgot my algebra text book in my locker.

"Oh shit, Matt I need to grab my notebook. You get to class I'll meet you there." I say smiling at Matt and he gives me a reassuring nod before heading off to our class while I walk to my locker which was a few lockers down from Chris', but he rarely needed things from his locker so sometimes he would let me use it to spare extra things.

I walk through the crowded halls being pushed and shoved left and right trying to get to my locker. I finally reach my locker row and just as i turn i see Chris and Aliza full on making out. I dropped the English notebook I was about to switch out to the ground causing a loud bang to the ground, grabbing Chris' attention as well as maybe 40 other people around us.

Chris pulls away from Aliza looking at me with eyes wording 'I fucked up'. and he did, big time.

"Chris?.." I say saddened and hurt but also angry.

"No.. Y/n wai-" He says trailing off as I run away into my class crying.

Now I should have gone to the bathroom but if Aliza came in there god knows what she would do or say to me. plus I needed Matt.

Back last year our Junior year of high school I was in class with Aliza. Who was the mean girl, and the perfect,pretty captain of the cheer team. She hated me for.. i don't know why, but it seemed like she hated my bond with Chris as because everybody knows she was in love with Chris, but he had zero interest in her.

We were all sitting in English. Me and Chris, and these two other boys Chris was friends with. I was next to Chris as his two friends were sitting in front of us. I was tired, I had gotten maybe an hour of uncomfortable sleep. so I was barely awake laying my head on Chris' shoulder before Aliza, and her friends walk up to us with a bottle of water in her hand.

I lift my head off chris' shoulder to see what she wanted. But before I could even ask what she wanted she opens the water bottle in her hand and splashes it straight in my face causing me to be soaked.

I froze. I didn't know what to do besides cry. I bursted into tears crying as everyone bursts out laughing, and taking photos and videos. I got up out of my seat running out Chris following after me.

I sobbed running before Chris grabbed me by my shoulder turning me around hugging me holding my head.

"Oh love i'm so sorry, its okay just brea-" I cut him off.

"Chris i- why would she do that? she ruined me!" I say sobbing

"No Y/n wai-" I trail off as shes already gone. I try to chase after her, but she was already gone. Fuck.

I felt terrible for what I said to Chris. Hes not selfish or annoying. He's the best, He's perfect, and I was so wrong for what I did. I didn't even let him explain. I felt terrible.

"No no no Chris don't be sorry I should be sorry for what I said. I didn't mean any of it, and I'm sorry for not letting you explain I'm sorry I love you." I blurt out quick.

"Shh its okay I know you didn't mean it love." he says hugging me tightly before letting go. "So are we good now?" He chuckles.

I nod my head yes before speaking.

"Look at you. you're soaked!" I giggle "Its okay I still have your hoodie, and sweats you gave me" I say grabbing his hand, and going upstairs handing him the clothes.

"We should keep one of those here for me" He says letting out a small laugh.

He get's changed, and tells me I can come in.

"Hey Luna babyyy" I say picking her up. She was super tiny, and very fragile, but shes adorable.

"Yeah, and we're about to watch it for the 9th" I say grinning

He chuckles but knows there is no changing my mind. I turn my lights off, and turn on my star light projector, and hop in bed next to Chris, and Luna.

Luna lays by Chris' legs and I lay on his chest. Most people might think it's odd that we are this close, but we have known each other since day one. literally! they were in my hospital room while I was being born. Since our parents are best friends, and they were a year older than me, but still our bond is different and I love it.

Eventually I got tired and fell asleep before I knew it with Riverdale still playing, and Chris playing with my hair.

"Good night love" He whisper's shortly before he also falls asleep.

Its alright. Certainly beats being in a Killing Game.

I admit I wasn't too keen on here at first but now I know we are in a enviroment where we don't have to suspect each other, this is actually quite a cool place.

As for the others, well Teruko is...Teruko but I have seen her talking to Ayumu on occasions. Xander naturally has Aliza and Hajime, but he also likes talking to Mahiru and Kokichi.

Some of the others from outside of our Killing Game don't seem to like me for some reason. That journalist for example what was his name, Nikei Yomiuri? He really doesn't like me.

I think that's because you share the same Voice Actor as Mikado Sannoji.

Well that is just petty and stupid.

As for me, I get along well with lots of people! But I really like hanging out with Iroha, Kaizuchi and Miu!

Inverted!Error

This is a re-design since the old on is kinda garbage, i mean, what was i thinking? But i feel this one's better.

So what is InvertedError? He's from a AfterSwap timeline, that's why he's a Papyrus. He's basically Error but slow. The thing is, instead of going to ghosttale right away he found Nightmare petrified, and he stayed to talk to him, i guess, he thought he could hear him but he was actually crazy.

Bc of that his first impression on anomalies was passive, innocent and wise, but that was only because he thought Nightmare was his original brother, he wanted to get out of the void but his imaginated nightmare kept saying "nooo! don't gooo! it's dangerous!", but eventually he started hating his imaginated nightmare and goes to other timeline anyways and gets that same experience of Og Error.

Look i consider the Ask error as canon, so he has that event, but before he kidnaps a SwapSans, or UtPaps idk, Core!Chara finds him, they were after Nightmare but they invite Error to come to OT without knowing his true intentions.

Didn't he destroy the OT? Well he wanted to go with it after he met his friends, and he said to himself: "i'm gonna have my fun, it doesn't matter, everyone will be destroyed by me one day", so he learns morals and matters and sometimes he uses that kindness he learned to kill people secretly and go away with it, "C'mon it's error! He's so kind he would never!".

This Error is a sociopath, he feels little to no feelings for someone but when he does HE FEELS, he's impulsive, he follows the rules not bc he wants to but bc he has to.

So when he met In Aliza (yes from Horrortale) he immediately fell in love as a father for her and will do everything for her, he's obsessed.

I really do enjoy the composition of Horrortale and Aliza being so so so done and tired. Sans really said lies are rated E for everyone including himself and Papyrus is just living in wonderland. Horrific and Rotting wonderland, I'm so happy he still keeps all of his positivity intact.

Anywhoooo I read it again because I needed to catch up and tweek some things about characterization.

A lotta people make it hard for Sans to speak in fics and such, but he's SUCH a chatty bastard and chatter than Classic. He DOES hunt down humans and feeds them to others(which was just mostly a headcannon but I'm happy it's true). He doesn't remember resets but notices details and is very observant. Very low tolerance about jokes that are made towards him and he only makes jokes when he knows Aliza will hate it. However he doesn't really seem to make any jokes that cause Papyrus to get frustrated like he used to.

He hates betrayal, lying, and cheating but he's done all of these things and REPEATEDLY. Yet doesn't call himself a hypocrite (at least out loud) because he's not human or the Queenie. Also I find it very charming that the worst thing he could have done to Alphys was give her brain damage. And I noticed that, Tori has water that has healing properties, but the rest of the underground doesn't seem to have access to that??? Maybe it was just a neat little plot hole but u know I like the idea that she just didn't want to share.

Ok so, Obsidian (not drawn yet) (my original oc and what i based my persona off of before changing her entire design and saying 'nuh uh go in oc corner') is half skeleton half werewulf, it being taboo she was suppose to die but instead the assasination killed leader werewulf resulting in war to breakout, their civilizations are in medival timeset

Haily (the wensday looking oc with the most vibrant green eyes and a choker i totally dont want-) is sister to Obsidian and lived as a royal guard bc Obsidian is royalty (yes i mary sued obsidian dont ask i was 13 or smth when i made her) pretty much during the society collapse Haily escaped and decided 'screw it ima go insane', saw Obsidians daughter and just yoinked her said Obsidian is dead and now shes her mom turning her into bio weapon, created a lab and we had a few other ex rp players so im gonna mention a few things that arent mine. A third rper whos no longer in our group Olive has a child experimentation section in the rp/their own lore n oc, we mashed our lore making Haily the co owner of that lab or smth along that line

Aliza codename Silent is the neiece (i forgot its nephew and niece for boy n girl) (black haired kid with giant eyes) of Haily and turned into a human weapon void of all emotions good at acting, has way too much truama and abuse thrown into her

Alex codename Anti (the ninja lookin girl) is Aliza's babysitter after Haily found them half dead and revived them but they had brain injury and concussion not remembering much with Haily abused this fact, before concussion they were a child serial killer who killed their family and blew up their school, along with a few other things, grew up drug dealing before getting into an accident.

Kisha/Lola (Kisha reference art is coming in an hour or so and Lola ref art is to be made) was the product of a 4th rper throwing in demon slayer into the rp, so shes a demon who can turn chains into hair to pretty much just hide em, thats why in the drawing im doing she has two orange braids when her haircolor is actually lilac, teen girl turned demon after hating humanity and found a girl Lola being abused by others bc of her personality (pink, glitter, egirl ig? like discord kitten personality if it was a 9 year old), got her turned into a demon now theyre sisters and live alone, they come in and otu of the rp as just background characters

Blake (reference art to be made) pretty much Obsidians ex bf (yes aliza is a unmarried child) and then just decided to live quiet life after the cities/races did genocide on eachother until he rencountered obsidian now they have one sided love one sidied hate realtionship

Okami lore (the one i made the reference sheet for once for), pretty much me irl died and got thrown into the rp, no its not mary sue for this one bc shadow my partner in roleplay makes everything impossibley hard then again i keep trying to kill gods so-, they died from throwing themself into a woodchipper as suicide, their design is my personaxhow i look irl, their goal is kill god become op and just be chaotic, yes im serious

Horrortale Sans & Papyrus character sheets (Updated version)

OAK (Horrortale Sans)

Backstory : Oak only live through one timeline but damn, what a timeline. After befriending everyone and making him believe that maybe they would get to see the sun again, Frisk killed the King, left and never returned. Or so is the story Undyne is telling to everyone. Oak knows something happened that day, not sure why, and is sure the kid will come back someday. Unfortunately, not everyone is that faithful. After a short civil war between Toriel and Undyne, Undyne took control of the Underground, leaving him in a very fragile position, as Oak was Toriel's first conselour. If Snowdin's monsters are still very loyal to the Old Queen, the rest of the Underground is a whole another story, and except for some friends here and there, Oak was not feeling safe anymore. It all turned even worst when the CORE stopped working, leaving monsters to die of starvation, or fall into this sick habit of eating humans falling down. First against any kind of human murder, Oak had to make a difficult choice the day Willow almost died, killing his first human and tricking him to eat it. Willow never really forgave this, but as time passed, resigned to do so to survive. Oak never ate any human. He refused it, feeding only on berries, and when times were desperate, on grass or wood. That let him very weak for something he didn't planned at all. His relationship with Undyne was not good at the time, but it was still more or less ok. Well, at least until, asking him for a meeting, she suddenly and out of nowhere attacked him, making a huge hole in his head to get his magic eye in a vain attempt to restart the CORE. It worked two hours before crashing again. Willow, not seeing his brother coming back, found him left for dead on the floor, and ran to Toriel's place to save him. Oak stayed between life and death for several months before waking up, traumatised, unable to talk, move or do anything by himself. He had to learn again, little by little, but the three of them quickly realized something was terribly wrong with his short memory. Oak grew worst and worst once back in Snowdin, having crisis that makes him aggressive and very dangerous, almost animal-like, but pretty normal a few seconds later, without any memory of what happened. After seven more long years, the fall of Aliza finally gave the Snowdin monsters the bravery to rebel against the Queen. Undyne died in the battle, but monster were finally free. Monsters are now learning to have a normal food diet again, but the consequences of what happened Underground will never really leave. Oak and Willow, closer than ever, now live in a small farm, next to Toriel's house, and both try to go with their life, doing their best to forget.

Job : Farmer, sort of. He can't work by himself, he needs to be under his brother's or Toriel's supervision.

Hobbies : Taking care of the farm animals, writing his thoughts in his notebooks, cooking.

Loves : Food, animals, cuddling with S/O, his brother or Toriel, the forest, pretty rocks, going where Willow tells him he can't go, do what Willow tells him not to do, napping in places he can't fit in, annoying Grillby for attention when he's bored.

Hates : Undyne, anything close to his head hole, people who stares at him for too long, loud noises, crowded places, people not patient when he's struggling to talk, people who try to baby him, the hospital.

The S/O of his dream : Someone who is not scared of him and doesn't judge him for his past actions. Loving to cuddle for hours is a huge bonus.

Dealbreaker : Babying him, trying to separate him from his brother, being mean to Willow, screaming because he's forgetting things.

WILLOW (Horrortale Papyrus)

Backstory : Willow had a really rough time Underground after Frisk left, which he didn't really understand in the first place (well, at first, after everything that happened, he's glad the poor kid didn't get stuck in the middle of everything). He was right in the middle of the fight between Toriel and Undyne, trying to calm down everyone and finding alternative ways to avoid a civil war, before Undyne took the trone. Willow found himself torn between his loyalty to Toriel and his friendship to Undyne, who was now threatening his brother, considering him a traitor. When the CORE broke, Willow overdid himself to help everyone, forgetting to take care of himself in the battle, as he rejected with all he had monsterkind starting to use humans for food. Oak abused his weakness to force his hand, then Willow had to accept it blindly because there was not really any solution left for him to survive. But every human killed was a hit in his soul, and he can still remember any face he killed. When he found Oak half dead in Waterfall, he thought this is it, that he would be on his own, but Oak struggled and survived, somehow. In the meantime, Willow asked Undyne for help to find who did that to his brother, and she did, sending him on wrong tracks again and again, to the point Willow found it suspicious and begged her to tell the truth. After he learned Undyne almost killed his brother, their friendship is over. Willow never felt so betrayed in his life. Despite everything, and after monsters killed her with the help of Aliza, he never felt satisfied with the ending, feeling a bit of regret, like he could have done differently. The monsters refused to give Undyne a grave after all she did, and at first, Willow agreed, but it just felt wrong. He went back Underground not a week later to collect her dust, and Alphys', who was gone a long time ago already, and buried the both of them in the forest. When he left, to start his new life on the Surface, he told Undyne he's forgiving her. Willow now has a farm with his brother and tries to live normally, despite him struggling with how he looks and what he did Underground. But he's getting better.

Let me try and break it down as best I can (Im sorry for speaking so much, but I do enjoy these sorts of talks.)

I don’t have any issues with Teruko. Yeah, she’s an edgelord, but I do tend to have an affinity for Fangan protagonists who are on the crazier side (shocking, I know), not to mention that I understand why she is that way; her life is fucked.

Xander is fine and all, but nothing I haven’t seen before, but I know Aliza likes him, so I’m not about to badmouth her boy.

Charles is fine because he reminds me of post-DR1 Byakuya, Still a bit of a self-entitled jerk, but cooperative and a major help when it counts, and I like that.

Ace takes every personality trait I hate from both Kazuichi and Leon and mashes them together in one character, and I utterly despise it.

I admit that it is impressive what Despair Time is doing with Arei, even though it’s probably not gonna amount to much, because it bothers me that so many killing games, including the source material, DONT DO THIS. The only time Danganronpa built up a character to be an asshole, then redeemed them in a way that i thought was done well, was Fuyuhiko. And when Arei showed signs of trying to do better, I really admired that, so now I’m cool with her, even though I hated her at first.

Rose is an insanely uninteresting character among everyone else in this cast, and I don’t know why, but i also don’t want to badmouth her because I know Paper-scrap likes her.

Hu is okay, but she reminds me of an over-friendly relative that I have in real life that I don’t really like being in the company of. Like, she assumes things about me, and then spreads that misinformation. Also, the stuff that happened with Nico made me cringe so hard. Like, I GET that she didn’t understand the proper etiquette for this shit, but I am in this scene and I don’t like it.

Eden is okay, but whatever.

Levi? Also okay, but I’m scared of him.

Fuck Arturo, he’s just really annoying for no reason.

I actually really liked Min, and she had a really interesting design, despite its plainness, but she died way too goddamn early and that was kind of a turn off for me (as in a turn off for the series, not…whatever else that could be construed as)

David is David, we don’t really need to say anything here. But yeah, he’s a pretty okay twist villain for me.

I don’t really know what to say about Veronika, she’s just sus as fuck.

I want to like J, but something just sort of turns me off her. I guess she’s just the wrong sort of stubborn? I dunno…

Whit id a little annoying, and I’m struggling to figure out what purpose he serves in the narrative. He feels like the game’s Kokichi, just…less important?

And Nico, while again, I empathise with Nico, kind of freaks me out.

//I enjoy DT's cast overall and I appreciate their depth, but I get why someone would find a lot of them annoying or just okay. Of course, it's still Danganronpa, so some similar character archetypes are bound to crop up in some capacity. It's the story's style of intrigue and overall mysteries that I find more engaging.

//I feel like, if you look at DT on a purely surface level, it loses a lot of its charm and it does end up feeling samey in a lot of aspects. But the foreshadowing and subtle mysteries with the setting, the characters, the storytelling and even the Tumblr blog are so cool and they hint at much more going on than just another killing game.

//But even with that in mind, yeah, this cast can be really annoying sometimes, so it may hamper the experience ^^;
