i think what has helped keep me motivated + curious abt all matters of the world is to acknowledge when smthng is not for me. it's too broad, advanced, unrelatable, or just unlikable, & instead of being discouraged or frustrated in my inability to understand or enjoy, i say "this not for me, but i can recognize it may be for someone else." OR, & this helps me the most, i say "this is not for me right now. months or years from now, this may suit me better."

Okay im not sure if I’ve posted about THIS specifically before (even if I already did I wanna again because it was just SO CUTEEE) but (some) of us know about how my little sis hates the Binjpipe lady despite knowing absolutely nothing about her, yeah?

Well did I ever mention that in the same day, when my family played Quiplash 3, Schmitty just INSTANTLY gained my little sister’s full attention? Like I heard her ask “who’s that?” The moment he started speaking and while no one answered her, she’d keep getting close to the TV while we were playing. I’m not sure wether it was about how colorful Quiplash 3 is, or just Schmitty, or both, but like, everytime Schmitty talked, she’d look around the TV seemingly trying to find where that voice was coming from and ough. It was just so adorable. I can’t. Schmitty draws the attention of toddlers I guess

dennis finally sorta acknowledges his attraction to men and starts a relationship with this random guy using a Dennis’ Relationship Standards Checklist he created that the guy has to sign. his bpd makes him deeply attached + really vulnerable way too soon without realising it, and he starts talking about himself, but the guy is really weird and says stuff in response like “y’know, i always had an interest in psychopaths.” dennis feels uneasy about it way too late and the guy ends up ghosting him because he isnt living up to the expectations he had of being with A Crazy Person (the whole situation backed dennis into a corner and really changed his demeanour), and a month later the guy is at paddy’s and dennis yells at him to fuck off, but then dee shows up and is like “why are you yelling at my boyfriend??” fully aware that dennis had a relationship with him, but not knowing any details

harley loves the old cartoon network stuff. billy and mandy, knd, courage, all that. her favorite is probably #3 from knd because they're similar in personality and style tbh! or shego from kim possible -- she wants to be her 😔

mikah is partial to the boomerang stuff. older shows like the jetsons and scooby doo and tom & jerry are his favorites. his favorite character is either velma, or when his sister picks the cartoons, dexter from dexter's lab...must be something about the smart ones in glasses 🤔🤔🤔

harley's bday is in july! she has a big summer bday party every year. mikah's is in october though, just like mickey's. i don't have specific dates right now, but i do have a general idea of when at least LOL

What was their first word? How old where they when they said it? How surprised were you and their other parent(s) if they have any?

both were dad! nothing surprising, but mimi and tim did fight over who exactly it was aimed at LOL

What grades do they get? Is school easy for them or is it difficult? How did they adjust from elementary school to middle school?

they both do really well in school!

harley has slightly better grades (she's a straight A student), but mikah's always had a little trouble here and there. for a while, he was doing far worse than his classmates, and it turns out it was because of his anxiety/mutism, which often feed into each other. after mickey and tim figured out just how bad his anxiety got at times though they did everything in their power to help him, and worked with the school to get him on an iep that really changed things for him. he does really well now in most classes and at home he gets one of his dads or harley (most of the time he'll just ask her instead because it makes him less nervous) to help him, who's actually a great teacher and loves to help her little bro, she's very protective of him and does anything she can to help <3
