hello helloooo! I’m back with another fic idea if it interests you ✨so little Nyx is old enough to go to school maybe like kindergarten-ish age? And one day the IC is eating dinner and Nyx is like “I have a mate!” And obviously he doesn’t but still Rhys and Feyre are like WTF and then read his little bby mind and find out he’s just infatuated with his teacher. (Nyx gave her a cookie that he baked with the help of Elain which she ate and now he thinks they’re mates bc he’s too young to understand that that’s not how it works) and then during a school carnival or gathering or cute kindergarten level graduation the IC attends with Nyx and ofc Azriel is there. He doesn’t even know who Nyx’s teacher is but then he sees Nyx dragging a young female over to him where he introduces her to him, proudly saying “this is my mate!” And she just laughs but then the bond snaps for her and Azriel. And then fluff ensues from there with everyone trying to explain to Nyx that she’s not his mate and that she’s Azriel’s to which he takes forever to understand. He keeps trying to give her treats and flowers so that they’ll somehow be mates. Azriel becomes public enemy #1 in Nyx’s eyes because he stole her from him. And then fast forward to when Nyx is older, maybe finally with a mate of his own and they tell him the story at his wedding and he’s so embarrassed about it. could def see this as an OC fic but x reader works just as well!

Nyx was beaming. Bouncing as he ate his dinner, little wings flapping every so often.

It wasn't unusual. Being surrounded by this much love, this much joy, this much devotion had made the little heir the happiest of babies, then a happy toddler, and now a happy 5 year old.

He picked up his little cup, sucking on the straw and took a big drink as Rhysand and Feyre shared a look. He set it back down with a satisfied lip smack and went back to his mashed potatoes.

"Alright, I'll bite," Cassian put his knife down. "What happened at school today?"

"I met my mate," Rhysand's face dropped at his son's little confession. "And she's perfect, and nice, and prettier than mommy."

Feyre hid her laugher behind a mask of concern before gently digging into Nyx's head.

There, as Nyx thought about his mate, was Miss Arianna, legs crossed as she read to them on the floor. Her black hair was tied up in two buns with pieces framing her face. She had a big smile on her lips as she read in different voices from the children's book.

Feyre and Rhys, despite their status, sat on a waiting list to have Nyx in her lessons. She was highly sought after, her students were all advanced for their little ages, and she allowed time in their schedules for naps. Something many teachers felt was unnecessary.

Rhys had loved you the moment he made the choice to ignore his morals and enter your mind during their interview.

You didn't care who they were.

You didn't care about their status.

You cared about the faelings.

You took children from every walk of life in Velaris. The poor, the rich, high fae, low fae. It didn't matter to you.

Rhys and Feyre both shared a look and chuckled. "And who is your mate, Nyx?"

He sighed with a dreamy look in his eyes, mind now flashing to you comforting him after he got hurt at recess, "Miss Arianna. I gave her a cookie, and we shared it, so I'm a taken male now."

Nesta had her hand over her mouth, eyes sparkling. "Well," Cassian started before a slap came to his thigh, warning him to let Rhys and Feyre take care of this gently. "You did better than Auntie Ness. She offered me a stale biscuit."

"Your mom made me a can of soup. Worse can of soup I've ever had. Lucien, what did Elain give you?"

Lucien smirked and leaned back, hand on Elain's pregnant stomach. "A five course meal with dessert."

They were all hoping Nyx would understand the implications of what they were saying, but the far-off look and content sigh told them he didn't.

A few weeks later, the inner circle and all of their partners and mates were at the school's end of the year celebration.

The grass had been packed with games, little events for the children, vendors charging nothing for sweets and foods at the kindness and generosity of the High Lord and Lady.

Nyx had long abandoned his family. Opting to run and play with his friends. Cassian and Nesta stood with their daughter, looking over the schools information sheets and the application to join Miss Arianna's class for next year.

"Mommy!" Feyre turned at the voice, beginning to laugh as Nyx dragged his teacher behind him. "Mommy! You were supposed to be behind me!" The heir tapped his foot, Miss Arianna looking away as she hid her smile at his little antics. "I had to bring her all the way over here!"

Arianna and Feyre held eye contact both of their eyes sparkling and knowing where this was going. "Mommy, this is my wife and mate, Miss Arianna," he pulled her to Mor and Emerie first. "This is my Auntie Mor and her wife Emerie." He didn't wait before ripping her to Amren and Varian. "Aunite Amren and Varian. You'll like Auntie Amren. She's real smart." She was pulled to Rhys next. The two adults shook their heads, smiling. "This is daddy. You can call him.... uh. Daddy?" He pulled her to Cassian and Nesta. "Auntie Ness and Uncle Cass," he looked around brow knit in confusion. "Where's Uncle Az and Clarissa?"

Rhys patted his head. "Ris wanted cotton candy, so Az took her to get cotton candy. Why don't you go play too? Then we can talk to your wife."

They watched as Nyx ran off. Clearly not looking to play but trying to find his missing uncle. "I tried telling him, but he's so attached to the idea of us spending the rest of our lives together that he doesn't fully understand."

They all laughed. "We tried too. He told us that we didn't understand."

"Strange. He said to me that the bond didn't snap right away for you either, High Lady, so he'd find the Suriel to tell me, and I'd feel it after that."

A soft pout came to Feyre's lips. "He doesn't understand why you won't be their teacher next year."

Arianna's face fell, the fine features morphing into sadness and longing. "I introduced them to Alexios and even had him sit and answer questions during round up day. I can talk to him. I'm so sorry. I wish I could keep them until higher level learning. We just-"

Feyre hugged her, stopping the unneeded apology. "We know. Cassian and Nesta were hoping to get Clarissa in your class."

"And we were hoping to hire you for private tutoring," Rhys, like his son, was not ready to let Her go. He had spent countless nights looking for ways to keep Nyx in her classes. "We would pay you well."

"That wouldn't be necessary," she turned to Cassian and Nesta, a big smile on her face. "Would you like to see my room? I'll have a different theme next year, but it will give you an idea of my environment."

"Lead the way," Cassian held Nesta close. Watching the two females interact, inserting questions as they walked into her classroom.

The Inner Circle all went to find food and place to eat, enjoying the small screams of joy and laughter around them. "She's really pretty," Emerie started slowly. "Maybe we should hook her up with Azriel. He hasn't dated since Gwyn."

Varian visibly flinched at the mentioned of Gwyn. "Does he still hate Tarquin?"

"Yes," they all answered together.

Azriel joined them seconds later. He was carrying Risa and holding Nyx's hand. "She crashed. Where's Cass? I'm going to take her home?"

Rhys motioned towards the schoolhouse, pulling Nyx to him and telling him to sit and eat. "Arianna offered them a tour of the classroom. A quiet place out of the sun might perk our niece back up, too."

Azriel nodded, carrying the small illyrian into the school house and following his shadows. He could hear melodic laughter and Cassian's loud voice, pausing at the doorway as his niece stirred and snuggled back into him, whispering for daddy. "He's right here, princess."

Nesta motioned for Azriel to join her. His jaw dropped at the sight of the classroom. It was a domed open glass ceiling, but the second it he entered, it began filtering light. "It knows she's sleeping," that voice had his shadows dancing. "I enchanted my room for my students so they're always in a comfortable environment. Never too bright, hot, or cold."

The room was filled with toys and exotic stuffed animals for snuggling. It was decorated like a rain forest from the continent, and an occasional call of something wild could be heard. "I suppose you enchanted all of this too?"

Azriel didn't look her direction, a look of shock and amazement going Nesta's way. Lady Death nodded eagerly, her eyes almost watering. She'd be heartbroken if Clarissa wasn't here next year, Azriel realized.

"Is this the little potential enrollee?" She walked over to Azriel, and nothing else was heard in the room. They didn't hear Cassian or Nesta respond, they no longer heard the soft sounds of animals and birds calling in the distance.

It was like everything in Azriel's life fell onto a new axis.

Arianna was his mate. The female he'd spent forever looking for.

And his nephew was obsessed with her.

Arianna spoke first, "We can't tell Nyx."

Azriel nodded. "I'll get banished to Mother knows where if we do."

Cassian looked between them before smiling, "Did you just secure my daughter's spot in her class? What kind of Aunt wouldn't teach her niece?"

Nesta smacked him hard, smiling from ear to ear. "Have dinner with us tonight? We share one of Rhys' and Feyre's houses with Azriel. He could fly you up for dinner, and we could all get to know each other."

"Only if you want that," Azriel nodded the second the sentence left her lips. "As, am I allowed to be blunt now?" They all nodded. "I was going to take her regardless," she turned to Nesta. "Morrigan scares me. It's why I took Nyx, too."

Arianna held Azriel's hand tight as they walked to the Riverhouse.

They had spent the summer getting to know each other. Going to coffee, to dinner, on long walks along the Sindra. It had taken all of a month for the two of them to decide this was serious, and they both wanted to move forward with the bond.

But that meant telling Nyx, who was still very much infatuated with her.

Azriel sighed as he grabbed the handle, "Ready?"

She nodded, hand stick folded delicately on his bicep. "Only if you are."

Azriel pushed the door to the lavish home open, smiling at Rhys and Feyre, who were waiting for them. They, Cassian, Nesta, and Azriel, had all decided the best way to do this was over a full family dinner.

"Uncle Az!" The shadoesinger stiffened. He had thought they would at least get to the table before the little heir appeared, but the Mother must have had other plans.

He came bounding into the room before stopping at the doorway with a loud gasp.

Azriel had never felt more like chopped liver as Nyx ran to his mate, hugging her legs. "Uncle Az brought my wife to dinner, Daddy!"

Rhysand scratched the stubble he had allowed to grow out due to his days being spent caring for Nyx as Feyre sat the throne. "We should all go sit on the couch, buddy. We need to talk about something."

Arianna allowed Nyx to pull her with him, looking back at Azriel with tears in her eyes.

He had discovered during their time together she had a Cauldron gift, one that had never been trained and just thought of as a personality trait. Arianna was an empath. She felt the emotions of others so deeply and could manipulate them if she tried.

It explained why she was so attached to children and them to her.

It also made her very useful in stressful situations. "Just breathe," Azriel mouthed as they all followed.

"Oh shit," Nesta whispered quietly. "We're doing this now?"

Rhys nodded. His eyes were already lining with silver as he sat across from Nyx with Azriel on one side and Feyre on the other.

The room was very quiet until Azriel spoke. "Nyx, Miss Arianna and I really need to tell you something, and we need you to try to stay calm." The shadowsinger sent a silent prayer to whatever Gods would listen and watched as one of his shadows held Arianna's free hand.

"Miss Arianna is my mate. I asked her to marry me."

The heir's face morphed into a little look of betrayal, his eyes starting to water as Rhysand and him held eye contact. "She's my mate, though."

Nyx looked at Feyre, hoping for support before looking back to a defeated Rhys. "I'm sorry, buddy, but She's Uncle Azriel's mate. Do you remember me telling you about the thread that connects me to Mommy?"

The heir cuddled closer into Arianna, glaring hard towards Azriel. "Why are you so mean?"

Feyre gasped at the question, immediately grabbing Azriel's hand. "Nyx!"

"He's trying to steal my wife!"

Arianna was in tears. The heirs emotions were overwhelming. She took over the conversation, blocking everyone from Nyx by taking both hands and sitting on the coffee table. "Nyx, honey, I'm so sorry, but Az and I are mates," they all felt the small tinge of magic shift. "I know this is hard for you. Your feelings are so valid, and it's difficult when you feel something this deeply to let go of that notion. It's hard processing such big emotions."

She wiped one of his tears. "Your mate is out there, hun. And she's wonderful, kind, smart, and closer in age than I am to you. You two will have so much more in common, and you will find joy and happiness in her that you never will in me."

"But she won't be you," Nyx sobbed heavily. "We're supposed to spend forever together."

She smiled softly. "And we will. You will always have me in your life. We will always be friends."

He glared towards Azriel, and Arianna turned his little head towards her. "You are hurting his feelings. Uncle Az loves you. We've spent a lot of time talking about how to handle this because he knew it would upset you, and it hurts his heart to see you so sad. You don't want to hurt Az. I can see if in your little face."

Nyx still glared at Az. "What if you two break up?"

"You'll be the first to know, bud," Azriel said softly.

"Good."

"Good," Azriel repeated.

"Fine."

"Fine," the heir smiled as his Uncle teased him.

It was then that Nyx decided to dive on Azriel, the Illyrian coming out of them as he started a tickle fight. "She was mine first!"

Azriel was laughing, holding the smiling boy close to him and allowing him to win. "And now she can be our. We can make her go places with us, bug her while we fight with our training swords, do pranks."

The heir stopped, that dimpled smile coming back out. "Prankies?"

Arianna's face fell as everyone started laughing. "Wait. What?"

Azriel smiled at her, sending her his love as Nyx whispered in his ear.

"We good?" She mouthed to him. He nodded, holding Nyx close. She stood to go comfort Rhys and Feyre, only for a shadow to trip her. "AZRIEL!"

The heir and shadowsinger ran off laughing as the other couples watched Arianna with shared grins, "Don't worry, sweetness," Cassian helped her up. "They're just getting started."

if you want to have an idea of how much japanese game developer hate women, just look into Tekken tbh

there is no female character beyond 25 years old

since there's been a 15 years old gap between Tekken 2 and Tekken 3, and while ALL the male characters who were in Tekken were allowed to get old (Heihachi, Lei, the Laws (father & son), Kazuya, etc.) AND still got included in the next games, the female ones didn't 🙃

Michelle Chang? she got a replaced by her "daughter" Julia in Tekken 3. The William sisters got cryogenized for all this time so they biologically didn't age. And now they're basically doing the same for the next opus by bringing back Kunimitsu....through her lookalike daughter (same mask and all) ??? wtf is this?? that daughter doesn't even have the same swag as Kuni. That Kunimitsu #2 looks like a cute anime girl, when Kunimitsu was that mysterious morally ambiguous ninja thief, like- HELLO??

glo down of the millenium tbh. rEAL KUNI WHOULD NEVER SHOW HER FACE!!!! Tekken hasnt got a decent/original character since Tekken 6 anyway.

Oh and they killed Jun after Tekken 2 (that may or may not be back from the dead somehow, but ofc won't be old cause she DIED AT A YOUNG AGE WHEN JIN WAS STILL A CHILD !!!! so probably her reincarnation, ghost or some random nonsensical shit like that)

And let's not talk about Julia tragic makeover between Tekken 6 and 7 and became a whole different person : she went from a caring, environment defender Native American to....a hyperconnected bimbo'ish geek?? ...all of this was to cater to scrotes ofc bc OG Julia wasn't really sexy to begin with (kinda horse girl'ish - she was the -less sexy- equivalent of Hitomi in the DOA franchise imo). Her character was more serious and had so much substance than she does now...

I also HATE how there's a gag overkill in the serie (esp the Mishima e.g their endings in Tekken Tag 2 aaaaaand IDC if the TTT games are not canon, stop trying to make this dysfunctional family where everyone wants to kill each other look like a comedy skit EVERYTIME, it's getting old)

Tekken story plot went down the toilet after Tekken 5 anyway, and the overall chara design tanked big time after Tekken 4 (exception for Dragunov who was truly a novelty I'm always a sucker for mute characters and Lars who's my haafu husbando). My biggest Tekken crush has always been Hwoarang and they made him unrecognizable lately (he was perfect in Tekken 5)

But yeah, Tekken hates women, has become shit, and it bums me out so bad bc that's basically my first video game, and the storyline/lore used to be so good (Tekken 3 had the best plot!!! Heihachi shooting Jin -his own grandson- with a bullet in the head in his ending got 9 years old me SHOOK. Ogre was sooo creepy, his Tekken Tag Tournament 2 ending is legit nightmare fuel)

I mean, even Dead or Alive that is infamous for catering to scrotes has a more attractive male roaster at this point (Hayate <3). They also did a brilliant chara design overhaul for DOA6 that made the characters so much prettier and is actually consistent and done tastefully.

Because yeah, what shocks me the most is how SHITTY Tekken chara design has become. It peaked with Tekken 4 (Jin Kazama tracksuit will forever be iconic dont @ me) but it's now such a convoluted tacky mess. Characters don't even have their own style anymore. Lars has the same tacky outfits as King (who's a luchador!!!). Also : WHY HAS HE BECOME SO BUFF??? Did he take the same steroids as Chris Redfield?? He was so hot in Tekken 6... WASTE!

They should take a few pages from Team Ninja who knows how to make shit done when it comes to rework characters aesthetic. Look at this work of art

Thoughts on Lysa ?

Well tbh she reminds me Cersei.

It feels like Martin wrote them very similarly. Or maybe I should say that his approach to these two characters is similar.

Jealous of older/male sibling (Catelyn/Jaime).

Couldn't get the man they wanted (Petyr/Rhaegar) and they ended up with older/abusive men (Jon/Robert).

Daddy issues

Their family don't think good about them that much (All Lannister men/Bryden Tully etc)

Challenging sons (Joffrey/Robin)

You can add more because there is more.

So I would say Lysa also suffers (sometimes even unjustly) author's sexist writing like Cersei does.

Both Cersei and Lysa are women who were used/abused by their fathers first and later they had to suffer their husbands. We know that Robert even r*ped Cersei during their marriage and we also learn that Lysa didn't want to sleep with such an old man like Jon Arryn. So it is safe to say that they had to endure a lot during their marriages.

Martin makes these sufferings quite clear by writing these characters complaining about their marriages which is refreshing to read.

Because we have examples like: Daenerys who fell in love with her abusive/r*pist husband, Sansa who is not allowed to make a bad comment about men who molested her without whitewashing them in next sentence (I beg you to stop it Martin... yes Sansa is a nice girl but enough is enough), Lollys who was r*ped only to give Bronn a larger role in the story, Jeyne whose suffering was all about Theon etc.

So it was refreshing to read these two women talking sh*t about their husbands and seeing how their misfortunes were created by their fathers in the first place. This was some realistic aspect of patriarchal society.

But what bothers me is this: Both Cersei and Lysa are written in a bad light. They are paranoid, awful women who got fat and bitter after their awful marriages.

I mean, these two women are very vocal about their misfortunes and how does author reward them??? By making them fat, ugly, drunk, obsessed, bitter and paranoid. I don't like this.

Another thing that bothers me is: Author made sure that they were "evil" from the beginning. Cersei killed (?) her friend when she was a child and Lysa r*ped Petyr when she was a girl. But their punishments in the end weren't even for these crimes. I mean, Petyr didn't kill Lysa because she r*ped him when he was a boy, he killed her because he didn't need her anymore.

Also I find it interesting that Jon and Petyr are almost the only male characters who suffered sexual assault (by women) in the story but author doesn't examine them either (well Jon questions Wildlings' rape culture but somehow he can't see that he is a victim too -he struggles because of his honor, he doesn't question the consent issue that much- and he ENJOYS the molestation- WTF?). So what was the reason of making Lysa a r*pist?

And I think Martin failed to subvert the trope of older woman is jealous of younger-prettier girl trope with Lysa... But his subverting is better with Cersei in this case.

So in conclusion I would say that I don't like author's cruel take on Lysa. She could have been written better. I wish he hadn't made her a r*pist and I wish she was a protecter for Sansa instead of being the paranoid jealous aunt (imagine Petyr getting rid off her because she was trying to protect her niece from him!!!). Also I wish her family leaving her alone was examined better.

And Martin should let women (and men) be vocal about their traumas in TEXT (not subtext) without making them cartoonishly evil, paranoid, bitter, stupid and ugly.

when i was younger, i used to scooter pantless around my house with a hannah montana wig underneath a bratz bike helmet, with bangles and bracelets covering both my arms, necklaces stacked on necklaces around my neck, my mums heels, and makeup she didnt hide good enough from me smeared all over my face (im talking green eyeshadow as blush and red lipstick as eyeshadow) and i can just imagine barzys daughter matching that energy but being so much more because she after all is half of mat who was, as we all know, a chaotic kid. so when you leave her at home with him for a few hours, i can just imagine that you come back to find mat sprawled out in the middle of the living room, with disheveled hair and lipstick & eyeshadow smudged all over his face because apparently she wanted to make him even prettier, with a mess of toys and costumes surrounding him, and you see a stray wig there too somewhere, blankly staring up at the ceiling and looking like he just got back from wrestling with an alligator because he’s just DONE and cant match her energy. you’re like wtf is going on, what happened, why are you barely alive and just as you ask him where she is, she comes biking into the room in yet another costume, probably a superhero one (but really its just a random sheet she probably pulled off a bed and wrapped around her neck), with your jewelry hanging from her (pairs of earrings are hanging from the necklaces because she wanted to wear all of them at once and bracelets around her ankles (which are covered with mats socks. i know you’re wondering why but... dont question it) because she couldn’t fit them on her wrists) screaming about how she’s gonna have to destroy mat because apparently, and unbeknownst to him, mat’s the villain she has to defeat to save the world. mat just has a petrified look on his face and turns to you with pleading eyes before he musters up enough energy to run away to another room and save himself. while he’s exhausted & spent and his body is hurting more than it does during a rough hockey game and he’s complaining about how sore he’s gonna be tomorrow and how much work your kid is, at the end of the day you know deep down he loves that he gets to put that big of a smile on her face when he lets her do his makeup and nails, when he joins her tea parties, when he allows her to defeat him in whatever game they’re playing, and when he goes along with whatever make believe world they’re pretending to be in, because his little girl’s happiness is his number one priority, and he knows soon enough she won’t be so little anymore and moments like those are ones she’s gonna remember forever

I have the feeling he didn’t confess to Sib? We, as the audience aren’t allowed to see what really happened at the dinner (yet) and that is very suspicious. Does he just want to make Gene jealous?? Like he knows something is going on with Sib and Gene. He kind of told Gene he notices it? Still he goes to Gene telling him he likes Sib and even asks him for help to confess to him? 

But why does he do that? I wish he just wants to push Gene to come clear with his feelings...

yeah but that’s not gonna happen here, he’s gonna be the one who forces them apart isn’t he :(

but then he kisses the other guy (what is their relationship, looks like exes / unrequired love? Also what tf is up with his ex Time and what’s the real story here?)

This makes me feel once more, that he isn’t really into Nubsib. But maybe just wants their fake ship to be as real as possible to get famous / succesfull to stick it to his father. But Gene involuntarily ruins this plan.

but on the other side Sib is cold to Aoey since the very beginning 

and next episode we get to know that Sib and Gene knew each other as kids wtf is going on between all of them?!

Well, here some things that made me happy this episode:

Nubsibs puppy expression when Gene told him he knows Sib likes Gene (also Gene saying that without being shy! progress!)

Tiffy telling him AGAIN that he’s prettier than a girl (???!!!) What the f is up with that, is it just her bi-panicking or

Omfg the plastic surgeon when he first posted the pic the comments were turned on and he said “good genes” and people started commenting on how you don’t go to a plastic surgeon for good genes and ig they said some more stuff about her appearance bc he turned the comments off and changed his caption to “ she’s even prettier in person” and I bet it was Megan that made him do that bc none of his other post has comments turned off and I bet she read all those negative comments. Wtf is she doing in the public eye if she literally can’t handle any feedback or backlash. Even people she callabs with she makes them turn the comments off. Is she that insecure or maybe she’s not use to dealing with people giving her backlash bc who is she is and how everyone loved her so many years ago. I can already tell she wants the fame but not the criticism, she’s not going to be able to handle any of this. You don’t know how hard I had to laugh about that! ^^ I can imagine that the deal was both of them post the pictures and Megan gets a treatment (filler, botox) for free but since Megan doesn’t allow any freedom of speech when it comes to her, the beauty doc was supposed to turn the comments off from the beginning. But because he changed the caption it makes me believe more that Megan couldn’t handle these few comments that weren’t even mean or hateful, but rather showed that people aren’t dumb and nobody goes to that guy because they don’t need to change anything because they have “good genes” when a couple of years ago I believe Megan made headlines for her “new face” because she obviously got so much work done that she looked noticeably different. Therefore I don’t understand why she and the beauty doc are still trying to pretend that she’s all natural and has no botox when she has. You can get botox and still be able to show some wrinkles. The before and after pictures of her face really speak for themselves and aren’t open for discussion. So I can imagine as well that Megan got triggered by these few comments that were just saying it how it is and the guy needed to turn the comments off, because Megan didn’t want any hate and needed to change the caption because we all know that Megan’s face isn’t the result of “good genes”. Megan seems like a person who hears or reads one harmless negative comment like nobody would go to a beauty doc if they had good genes, because there wouldn’t be any need for it and then gets triggered and claims that the whole world is against her and everyone is so hateful and mean to her. She absolutely wants the fame, but not one single criticizing comment or comments who call her out on her bullshit!

XD84 build - what is this madness

I’m building up a new XD84 pro from KPRepublic. This is my 3rd build with this style of PCB, the 87% keyboard, but the first time building a pro model. 

From a previous build, I had an unused aluminum case in black just sitting here, so I figured I’d build something around what I had... kind of like if you have 4 tires sitting in your yard, and one day you say to yourself “I might as well fill up the space between those tires with the rest of a car”, then start buying car parts from China. You know the story, it’s happened a million times.

So of course I want only the finest for my beautiful anodized case 

There she is, all nice and pretty like a pony.

I start plugging these lovely SP-Star weirdo clone MX keyswitches into the PCB & plate. Testing fitment, making sure everything is all squished in before soldering in the switches. 

Things are coming along quite nicely. 

EXCEPT..

The PCB will not fit in the case. 

See the Pro model of the XD84 now comes with this:

“Oh cool” you might say, “It’s an expansion port of some kind! Looks standard as hell. It’s probably to add an LED strip or something that would be useless in this case. Let’s see what it is”.

Now I am dumb, yes. This much can be proven scientifically. But I am not a bad googleman. I can Bing with the best of them. You can Duck Duck Go fuck yourself if you think otherwise. I could not, for the life of me, figure out what the fuck this huge connector was for.

This new board is perfectly different than the old one. It’s much prettier for one, but there’s less expandability (probably a good thing as that seems pretty unnecessary given this form factor) and a way better onboard controller. 

If you look on the XD84 Pro product page, there’s plenty of pictures and a decent English writeup of what’s what.

Here’s what the specifications are for the board

OK. Neato. What? 

WTF is REVE and REVQE?

WTF is a standard ICSP interface?

Maybe this bulky POS connector is one of those things. Research time.

Start looking up REVQE (because why would I use the obviously inferior REVE???) - that leads me here.

Not a lot of help at first, then some helpful dude is like “

Pins F4-F7 land on expansion pin-out at the top of the board (cluster labeled P5). From top to bottom, they are F7,4,6,5.” Oh here, check out the schematics of this other, similar board

Now if you’re a dumb dumb like yours truly, you see that and your eyes go cross. Plus, that looks nothing like this 4 pin connector in any way, that’s lots of lines, this should be around 4 lines. More likely than not, this stupid port is not REVE or REVQE. Onward! 

Let’s look up ICSP:

ICSP stands for In Circuit Serial Programming, which represents one of the several methods available for programming Arduino boards. Ordinarily, an Arduino bootloader program is used to program an Arduino board, but if the bootloader is missing or damaged, ICSP can be used instead. ICSP can be used to restore a missing or damaged bootloader.

A typical Arduino ICSP header has six pins, arranged 2x3. The article Connecting the Programmer: In-Circuit Serial Programming (ICSP) at Sparkfun describes some of the functions of ICSP pins, which include MISO, MOSI, SCK, V+, Ground, and Reset.

For example, MISO on an Uno or Nano's ICSP header is connected to MISO / digital pin 12; MOSI on the ISCP header is connected to MOSI / digital pin 11; and so forth. he never actually physically harasses anyone, it’s all fun and games (for them at least don’t accept cat calling kids men ain’t shit)

there’s just...nothing else really for them to do around town

the only forms of entertainment come from the drive in theater and the soda shop that all the kids hang out at after school

he attends his local university since him and the gang come from a small town and didn’t really care to leave or have the grades to go to a better school

and you...well you don’t really know why you decided to attend a university in such a dinky little town

maybe it’s because you wanted a change of pace from the city, and maybe it’s because it’s your mother’s alma mater and you spent a few of your summers there

but somehow you find yourself at the school

the only problem is,,,everyone who attends the school grew up in the dumb town,,,meaning everyone already knows each other and has their friend groups and cliques

leaving you to fend for yourself and kind of live as an outsider

sure you make acquaintances in your classes but,,,it’s hard for you to make solid friends when everyone else already knows everything about everyone else 

so you’ve been living your life on campus, smiling at the acquaintances you’ve made when you pass by them on the street, but you never really hang out with anyone after school

your sophomore year you got a job at the soda shop bc college ain’t cheap and they were hiring

surprisingly enough you made close friends through the job, your coworkers went to the same uni as you and the clientele were also in some of your classes

so you began to actually go out more (when you weren’t working obvi)

on day you were on campus walking to your next class and you saw one of said new friends

but while you were distracted with waving to them you bumped into someone and woop guess who????

you guessed it our boy hyuck with the rest of 00 line walking past

he was bouta pop off but then he sees it’s you the cute lil waitress from the soda shop that he’s lowkey seen around and been crushing on for a few months now

so when he sees you stuttering out an apology bc boi is brighter than the damn son and took your breath away

he just smirks and lets out a lil chuckle and just says ‘don’t worry about it sweetcheeks’ with a wink and then he’s off

he’s a real one so he won’t say anything about the time you were really drunk and got separated from him so you stood on a table and screamed his name til he came and snatched you down lmao

lucas has reached full height as well so he’s like, so much bigger than you

also he’s gotten so much better at basketball and is practically the star of the team

okay so i’ve had this idea in my google docs for a long time now

and for some reason i just never got around to completing it???

so i hope you all enjoy it because it’s been in here for months and its time for me to start posting more content on my blog

chan is basically known as the scariest man on the university campus

well maybe not the scariest

but defiantly the most intimidating guy you’ll ever meet

what really gives off his intimidating vibe is mainly all of the dark clothing and chains he’s seen wearing around campus

like he basically lives in ripped jeans, leather jackets, and dark tshirts

he has some pretty curly gray hair that looks really nice with his tan skin

omf imagine this

if it wasn’t for the fact that almost every student was terrified of him

all the ladies would probably be pinning over him and probs some of the men too tbh bc chan is a looker

but anyways chan is lowkey kind of offended that everyone is too scared to talk to him because he really isn’t that bad of a guy

his whole life he just kind of grew up with this thought that everyone loved bad boys

thats basically what his high school days taught him

but it turns out that he didn’t really need to change from his normal cute self to this bad boy but it was a little too late for that because everyone already had this attitude that chan was not someone anyone should mess with

he has a couple good friends that don’t mind him for his personality like his roommate woojin who knows the real chan after living with him in a dorm for almost 3 years

and new freshman changbin who looks up to chan and tries to act like a bad boy too but according to everyone else he fails and is basically just like a small kitten

and then savage smarty pants minho who could really careless about wtf chan wears and does

as long as he isn’t doing something stupid or something that he’ll regret because minho really does care about him a lot but he’d never admit that publicly

woojin, minho, and changbin are really the only friends that chan has and even though he wishes people would stop looking down upon him for his outside appearance he really does love and cherish the friends that he has

so basically half way though every year the student body holds this big ass part to celebrate finishing their finals

and even though there really should be adult supervision the professors and administration could care less

so you can basically put the pieces together and figure what kind of shit goes down

chan and woojin would normally go together for a couple minutes before everything turns into chaos

but this year the decided that for some goddamned reason that they would stay for a little longer

mainly to make fun of the way some of the drunk students would dance or act stupid and stuff

minho decided to stay in and work on homework minho you nerd

and changbin had been invited off campus for the weekend by his best friend felix to go check out this new arcade that was just put in a mall strip in their hometown

and this is where you come in fellow reader

you were just a new transfer student who had just finished their first sophomore semester on a brand new campus

you had tagged along with your roommate and her friends to the campus party

and wow were you overwhelmed

you guys had arrived at the party just as the chaos had started

and basically almost everyone there was either already tipsy or just flat out wasted

you had tried your best to stay close to your roommate so you wouldn’t get lost

but the crowd of people was just so pushy and everyone was literally all over the place so you did end up getting separated

for the sake of trying to stay away from the madness you headed off to the side of a small bar table and sat down on one of the benches

there wasn’t a whole lot of people around there expect for a couple playing a shot game, the bartender sighing because he rather would be doing something else, and these two boys who didn’t look too much older than you

one with dyed blonde hair who wore a pair of black skinny jeans and a grey hoodie

the other in all black with a silver chain, grey hair, and a very hot eyebrow piercing

you ended up making eye contact with the later and his gaze on your own made your blood pulse

he look kinda intimidating with his outer appearance but his eyes looked soft and inviting

you looked away and broke eye contact with him and you were basically blushing as red as a ripe strawberry

after a few more minutes of you just sitting at the bar watching everyone having fun

this weird smelling boy walked right up in front of you and flashed you a gummy looking smile

his body smelled terribly of alcohol and you wanted nothing more than to get out of there knowing that something bad was gonna happen

but of course the boy just had to speak up and pull you away, asking you to dance with him

you wanted so badly to object his offer but his grip on your arm was strong and you weren’t exactly the strongest girl yourself

he pulled you into the crowd of students dancing and he too began to dance around you

well more like he was dancing on top of you

you just kind of stood there as stiff as a pole and you were frozen in shock not knowing how to respond

it wasn’t until you felt him starting to grope your body when you tried slipping away

but he was too quick and held tightly onto your waist

you could feel him starting to slightly grind his body against yours and you were like

“yep this is how im gonna die”

you kindly asked the man to stop but he didn’t answer you so you got a little bit louder until you were basically yelling at him to stop

and then you felt him being ripped off your body

you were confused for a second and then turned around to see what exactly was happening

there was the boy who had been harassing you lying on the ground as the very attractive gray haired boy from the bar had his fist raised

the boy on the ground was huddled into fetal position with a red mark on his cheek

everyone around you turned to see what all the yelling was about and stopped to watch as your savior continued to beat up the boy

he only stopped once he saw your terrified eyes looking at him

he cursed to himself and looked to the boy on the ground back over to you before walking up to you and asking if you were okay

you stared at him in shock because wow this boy was even prettier up close

but also he did just beat the shit out of a boy on the ground

asshole deserved it

you nodded your head quickly and thanked him

you noticed as the grey haired boy suddenly started to become nervous and flustered as he rubbed the back of his neck

“c-can i walk you back to your dorm,,,,,you know,,,,in cause something else happens”

he suddenly would look less and less of a bad boy and more as a soft little lamb

you gave him a cute innocent smile and agreed to allow him to walk you back

he hesitantly reached for your hand and walked you back into the direction of the bar where the blonde boy stood smirking at the two of you

gray haired boy leaned over and whispered something in the blonde’s ear before leading you away, the blonde boy whistling behind him

you watched as the gray haired boy flushed pink

once you were a good feet away from the party the gray haired boy let go of your hand and apologized

you shook your head and told him there was no need to be sorry

the whole walk home he basically talked to you about how much he hates parties but was only there to watch the people for entertainment

you learned that his name was chan and that he was kind of known as this intimidating bad boy on the campus

but you were like ??? i don’t see it??? especially after how cute and flustered he was acting around you

and you too felt the need to tell him a little bit about you like what your name was and how you were a new transfer student and that you lost your roommate in the crowd and stuff

chan acted a little sympathetic towards you and then with a smile offered to show you around campus sometime

and of course you agreed because honestly who wouldn’t agree to spending the day with a really attractive man

and with that you arrived at your dorm

but you didn’t part ways without getting his number first,,,

everything after that seemed to escalate pretty quickly

you didn’t really understand why people chose to be afraid of chan without getting to know him first because he was truly a really sweet guy

you also become pretty close friends with woojin and changbin

it took minho a little bit to warm up to you but according to chan he’s just a pretty cautious guy who would do anything for his friends

besides chan you probably got along with changbin the best with both of you having a mutual admiration for chan

apparently you were pretty oblivious to the way chan treated you

according to woojin’s words chan was absolutely whipped for you

and you didn’t really believe it at first because why would chan like this average college student who couldn’t even afford to buy ramen

but it turns out that woojin was right

chan started doing little things in hopes of making you fall for him and understand his feelings

like he would go out of his bad boy character to the flower shop down the road and buy you cute little daisies

which you really admired and appreciated

after a couple months of pining after you and woojin practically forcing him to declare his undying love for you he finally confessed

he took you to the local coffee shop and told you everything he felt

and lucky for him you returned his feelings

he would be pretty protective over you and always offer to walk you to your classes even though it would make him late to his own

his face when you tell him hyungseob told you about him being super busy is something you will remember even in your next life

you were able to go to one of the performances, which was the one where he was in oh little girl

and you screamed because in the episode just before that, he was this badass rapper that owned the stage, and now... he’s so soft... and cute

he didn’t notice you, but you’re sure hyungseob did, because the two of you had some awkward eye contact when he was on stage

when the recording was done for the day, he told euiwoong that he saw you in the crowd and euiwoong freaked the fuck out

like ‘OMG, WHAT, WHERE, DID SHE LEAVE ALREADY, WHAT DID SHE LOOK LIKE, SHE DIDN’T LOOK TIRED DID SHE’

hyungseob: ‘smh, you’re already an overly concerned boyfriend’

euiwoong not even paying enough attention to hyungseob to deny it

you were on his mind now, and he couldn’t stop thinking about you, so he went to go find haknyeon back at the dorms and ask about how you were doing and if you remembered him

haknyeon basically spilling the fact that you had a HUGE crush on euiwoong the last time he checked, and that he was pretty sure that if people were only allowed to vote for one trainee, you would pick him over euiwoong

so he makes sure that your number is still the same, then texts you asking if you two could meet up

obviously you say yes, this is lee euiwoong we’re talking about

you head over to the yuehua building, and justin is the one that greets you at the door and lets you in, telling you that euiwoong is waiting in the first practice room on the third floor

when you walk in, euiwoong like tackles you in a hug, telling you how much he’s missed you

and you’re like, omg, i miss you too, i thought you forgot about me

euiwoong, pulling back to look you in the eyes with the most offended look on his face: how DARE you think i could forget about my favorite person in the world

hyungseob, back in the pd101 dorms: i feel a disturbance in the force

anyways, euiwoong started telling you about how hyungseob saw you at the performance for oh little girl, and how haknyeon had told him how you had been voting for him

euiwoong: i was si excited to hear that you were still thinking about me, because i’ve liked you since the first day we met, and-

you: you... like me?

you: i.... like you too

euiwoong: OH, THANK GOODNESS, I WAS SO WORRIED FOR A SECOND

then he gets kinda quiet before shyly asking you if you wanted to go on a date some time, and you’re like, yes, pls

and it’s kinda simple and casual, because you both are trainees, and euiwoong is already recognized by fans and stuff

but it’s really cute, euiwoong sets up an indoor picnic in his practice room, and he hands up fairy lights to make it a little prettier, and he has this really cute playlist playing in the background

and even when you guys become an official couple, the effort he puts into planning events for you doesn’t die down

basically the most perfect boyfriend ever

like he keeps little mementos from each date you two have, and even gives you hand written letters sometimes

a lot of the time, they’re to say he’s thankful for everything that you do, and he hopes you don’t forget that you’re really important to him

your first kiss was during christmas time, and it wasn’t under the mistletoe, but rather because you were practicing for a special stage for music bank, and when you looked at euiwoong happily for his opinion, he just thought you were the prettiest person he’d ever seen

like, you’re always beautiful to him, but when you were practicing so diligently, no makeup, wearing one if his hoodies and a hat covering your slightly messy hair

he couldn’t help himself, you just looked so perfect

the boyz walked into the room as his lips are still on yours, and the two of you go real shy and blushy, but euiwoong still reaches out to hold your hand because it comforts him

the boyz and yuehua sprouts don’t let this go, ever

you’re now the otp of both companies, and basically joined the two groups together

now jungjung, younghoon, jacob, new and sangyeon nag you both at the same time, and you and euiwoong are like... guys.... pls

sunwoo, q, haknyeon, and seunghyuk always wanting to tag along when you go out for food, and you two always let them go along because they actually pay for their food, and even your guys’ when they feel especially nice

justin, hwall, and eric always ask you guys to buy them food or some kind of gift, which you guys always say no to because.... justin.... you can buy that whole building if you wanted to... do not

also hyunjae, kevin, and hyungseob are your number one fans, they once made signs with both your names on it and hung them up in the practice room

concept: euiwoong keeps all the things the sprouts and the boyz make for you guys and hang them up in the practice room on your one year anniversary, and he sets up a projector too so you guys can watch movies together and cuddle

and, surrounded by all the pretty decorations and memories, sitting in euiwoong’s arms, you’re really thankful that biology never seemed to make sense to you

Clarke wasn’t a big sleeper. Everhad been. Apparently, she didn’t need a lot of sleep to function.

However, she needed a lot ofcaffeine.

Her phone vibrated with a newFacebook notification: Bellamy Blakecommented on your post.

          Bellamy Blake: I knew you were a fake. Idon’t sleep at night by my own means thank you very much.

She smiled and immediatelyanswered.

           Clarke Griffin:yeah you’re right. Coffee got me awake since im a baby…

           Bellamy Blake:clearly. Don’t do drugs kids.

She didn’t know Bellamy thatwell. She only met him once for one of Octavia’s birthday party but theysomehow ended up following each other on most social medias. She wasn’tcomplaining because he was fun and he seemed to not sleeping at nights, justlike her, and they always ended up talking through the night… She liked him.

Clarke laughed out loud when she saw the picture Bellamy sent her inreply of her story. She opened the messaging system and typed:

           C: so what’s the problem tonight mister-weird-dream?

           B: Have you ever dreamed you were in space?

           C: of course. what do you think am i? an amateur?

           B: fair enough.

           B: but how was it for you? because it was weird for me

           C: you sound like you tried some new weird sex thing

           B: why are you messaging me again?

           C: i like the weird sex stories (:

           B: this conversation is over.

           C: come on… distract me im bored

           B: well go to sleep.

           C: haha funny

           B: I try.

           C: anyway when i dreamed i was in space i was alone floating in thesky something aesthetic like that?

           C: what? What did you dreamed about?

           B: earth was destroyed, people lived in space in a weird ship? Andthere was a fucked up system where people were sent in prison for anything? idk

It was actually a little weirdthat they didn’t run into each other yet. They did live in the same city. Theydid have friends in common. It was only a matter of time… And apparently, timewas up.

Clarke had her eyes fixed onher phone, her bag falling of her shoulder, her hair falling in front of hereyes, the phone in one hand, a cup of coffee on the other one. She bumped intosomebody, spilled her drink. And of course, it was Bellamy.

“Oh I’m so sorry! I’ll get youcleaned up, I’m sorry I wasn’t looking!”

“Relax, princess, I wasn’tlooking either.”

Only then – only after hearingthe nickname – she leveled her gaze up and met his. Bellamy Blake was wayprettier in real life.

“Oh it’s you.” She just saidand she winced because what the fuck wasthat?

He laughed. “I’m sorry to be adisappointment.”

Her eyes widened. “Oh no! Ididn’t mean… I’m sorry-”

“Hey relax. I was just messingwith you.” He shrugged and ran a hand through his hair. Clarke simply blinkedtwice.

“You’re still wet.” She said,because clearly she was weird and he had a bad effect on her. He raised aneyebrow at her, a small smirk forming on his lips. “I mean… You still coveredin coffee…”

He licked his lips then andClarke blinked once more.

“Clearly” he said “but exceptif you have a shirt in your bag I don’t know how this situation would evolveany time soon.” The smirk was fully on his lips then. So she rolled her eyes.

“Okay Mister Smart-Pants. I’msorry I ruined your very basic and very brown shirt. I’ll buy you another oneone day if you want.”

“Wow someone is cranky.” Buthe was still smiling.

“I need coffee to function.But you got my cup all over yourself so…”

“How is it my fault now?”

“You did say you were not lookingeither, remember.”

“It was your coffee! Youshould have watch out!”

“Okay Mister-Weird-Dream youshould stop right now because-”

She didn’t have the chance tofinish her sentence because Octavia showed up right at this moment. Oh right.She was supposed to meet Octavia. Not her brother.

“Hey O.” Bellamy said, thesmirk still on his lips.

“Hi… Bellamy? Clarke…” Octaviahad a confused look on her face and Clarke couldn’t really blame her.

“So I was going to the malland Clarke spilled her coffee all over me… I’m gonna go now!”

He went in the directionOctavia came. Clarke could still see him smirk at her and wave as he lookedover his shoulder.

“Why were you flirting with mybrother, Clarke?” Clarke choked on nothing and scoffed.

“I was not!”

Later that day she received atext from Bellamy.

10:34pm [Bellamy] You owe me a shirt.

10:35pm [Clarke] Well you owe me a coffee jerk. She replied. Andit was only later that she got the date subtext… Oh well…

She only had herself to blame.She sent him the text. But she had missed him… Since that Facebook post hedidn’t interact with her as much as he used to. And she missed him.

She smiled at her phone,seeing in her friend’s sarcasm a blessing of sort?

And she did. She showed up afew minutes before 5 but he was already there. She resisted fixing her skirtand walked to him. He welcomed her with a big smile and her heart did a funnything.

“Hi, Clarke.” His voice wassoft. He looked perfectly calm and at ease. She sat in front of him and relaxedunder his gaze. “What are you taking? My treat.”

“Well, it was the deal” shegrinned. But her face immediately turned into a horrified one.

“Wha- What Clarke? What’shappening?”

“I… Err, I forgot your shirt?”

He didn’t say anything for afew seconds, didn’t move an inch. Clarke began to take a deep breathe butBellamy bursted out laughing.

“That’s seriously notimportant” he smiled a little shy but with the same soft face.

Clarke barely heard her phoneringing under the shower. She made it in time just before it goes to thevoicemail. She answered it without looking at the number.

“Hi?”

“Clarke, hi?”

“Bellamy?”

“Yeah… I’m sorry… I shouldn’thave called… You probably have other things to do.”

“Bellamy it’s 2 in themorning… I have literally nothing to do right now. What’s up?”

“It’s nothing really… But youwere the only one I know who could be up this late…”

“No problem seriously.”

“I had this dream…”

“You always have weirddreams.”

“It was more like a nightmareactually…”

“Oh.”

She listened to him as he toldher about this nightmare. How he dreamed he was 10 again when his step dad beathis mother and how he would hide Octavia to protect her. And then he was backinto the present time and this man came back into their lives and manipulatedOctavia who ended up in the hospital because of him but blamed Bellamy foreverything…

Clarke listened as his voicebroke with a few sobs sometimes, showing how deeply he loved his sister and howimportant she was for him.

When he was done, shewhispered a few words, letting now that everything was okay, that he couldcount on her. Always.

They moved on on another topicand spent the night talking to each other, discovering the last parts theydidn’t know about each other.

She seemed to realize that she said that completelyout of the blue and blushed. But it wasn’t really out of the blue, was it?

“I couldn’t care any less about the shirt, Clarke”Bellamy said, his voice deep.

“I’ve made of these efforts to find the exact same oneas this ugly shirt you wore that day and you’re telling me you don’t care?That’s rude, Bellam-”

“Clarke, shut up” he said as he put a hand on herwaist and bringing her against his chest. She laughed and put a hand on it. Sheraised her eyes then, to meet his and smiled, biting her lips slowly.

“Could we date?” She repeated as his lips weredescending to hers. She was smiling way to much to be a proper kiss but shedidn’t care and he didn’t seem to either. She fold her arms behind his neck toput him even closer and he almost lost his balance.

“Let’s date” he finally said between kisses.

Movie reviews

So I have to study for my finals, but in order for me to not go completely crazy I have been watching some new movies at night. You might not care, but I’m gonna share what I think of them anyway ;)

First up: La La Land!

La La Land (by Damien Chazelle) is a romantical comedy musical. With Ryan Gosling (ughh, so perfect) and Emma Stone (now that’s what I call acting) as lead actors. They are so perfect togheter, I love them. They tooootally make this movie worth watching. I mean, I’m also very excited by all the musical numbers and by the story itself but the movie was 10 minutes to long for me... the 5 years later framgent didn’t really do anything for me. 

But aside form that: the acting is fenomenal, the singing and dancing takes you back to the early hollywood musicals, the scenery is breathtaking (honestly, I think they made LA way prettier that it normaly is) and the story is rather cliché, but it doesn’t get boring. At least not for me...

I think it’s really interesting how they show a side of the showbussines that’s not talked about often, but actually does exist (one of the audition scenes actually happened to Gosling once) + if you’re an romantic at heart, Gosling is just the man for you!

Reasons not to watch:

Quite slow

Oldschool jazz musical numbers (the younger audiences might have trouble getting into that)

The last 10 minutes

It’s rather cliché

Moonlight

THIS MOVIE!

Okay, Moonlight (by Barry Jenkins) has an absolute star cast if you ask me. The story is about a black boy (Chiron) who grows up in a though neighbourhood in Miami in the  late ‘90s and who struggles with his sexuality, his crack addicted mother and bullying. 

We see Chiron in 3 stages of his life, all played by different actors AND THEY ARE SO GOOD! These kids man! Okay, remember these names: Alex Hibbert, Ashton Sanders and Trevante Rhodes. REMEMBER THEM! A new generation of A List black actors has been born.

Along side them also star Janelle Monae, Naomie Harris (wtf) and Mahershala Ali. I’m blown away by all these actors, Ali definitly deserves all the awards he is winning and I wish more people would recognize the work of Harris. She aboslutely blew me away.

I love everything about this movie: the characthers are allowed to feel vulnerable, to show emotions and I have never seen a movie where black men (!) get to do something like that. It’s heartbreaking to see Chiron struggle with his mother and himself and how he grows up in a neighbourhood where he has to be though and ‘manly’. 

Movies like this are way overdue. This movie gives black gay men something to identify with. I hope this movie gets the praise it deserves.. At the Oscars it will probably be La La Land who wins everything, but I hope Ali, Harris and Rhodes get (at least) nominated and hopefully win something aswell.

Even if you don’t feel like it, you owe it to the Black community, and more specific: the black gay men, to watch it because only if many people watch it, then maybe the perseption and stereotypes about these people might change and it’s so important to give them a voice.

Swiss Army Man

This movie is so fucking weird, but also really beautifull? 

Swiss Army Man (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert) stars Paul Dano and Daniel Radcliffe. In all honesty, I only watched this for Radcliffe (Potterhead over here!) but Dano is SO FUCKING GOOD in this movie. They both are actually. You need a good chemistry in order for this movie to work, and they did!

So if you don’t know what it is about: Dano’s charachter somehow got stranded on a deserted island and is about to kill himself, when a body (played by Radcliffe) shows up on the beach and appears to have powers. I should also warn you about the many farts, erections and stories about masturbating there are, they are super essential to the plot. 

It’s a movie about love, friendship, acceptance and feeling left out. You’ll just have to take my word on it that the farting isn’t as weird is as it sounds. 

I didn’t expect to like this movie so much, but I do so I encourage you to watch it!

OMG, last but not least: Hidden Figures (by Theodore Melfi) stars some of my all time favourite women: Janelle Monae, Octavia Spencer and my fave Taraji P. Henson! 

How did I not know about these real life women??? Again, this movie proves that there are so many women who made significant changes for our world, and we never even hear about them. 

The story centers around 3 African-American women who worked for NASA and who made groundbreaking changes, both for NASA and for black women. Remember their names: Katherin Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson. 

While the story is beautiful and the acting was suberb, the movie sometimes laks dept and change. It’s all very feel-good, and while it shows the struggles of these black women in the 60s, it sometimes feels as if they could have had more attention and more debt for these women. Also I don’t think the soundtrack (Pharell Williams) realy suits the story, but thats just me!

I do too! that’s why this is one of my favorite stories that I’m writing/working on, even if I can’t have time to work on it at this very moment (hopefully that changes this summer! in like 2 days lmfao) I get to build a bunch of different planets/peoples

yes right that’s what I want people to think, and then Elio is just like nope I’m in love with this muscular woman with skin as dark as the night and a heart of gold, her name is Albora and she comes from Earth. Her sister is named Sona with pink/purple hair but otherwise similar look and she’s my space lesbian, can’t have enough of those. she falls in love with the enemy, they have a korrasami aesthetic goin on

so those are the 5 main characters lol there’s Elio, Rex Roer and Yala Qin Amaya being his childhood friends from the prison, they escape and get separated and in the process Elio meets Albora and Sona, and basically take back Earth, the first planet where the story takes place. So Rex is very bestial, hence his name. His people are ridiculed in the empire, they’re like Space Pirates with a Cause. His world is also inhabited by a dwarf species, they all live together in harmony and believe strongly in individual freedom to be who you are while still having a community to back you up. Rex has deeply tanned skin, reddish eyes and really red hair just like the rest of his peoples. They’re all rough and tumble & his home planet is basically one big mine that they defend the Empire from getting their Grubby Paws on and they like it that way. Rex’s family especially leads the rebellion, his mother being a particularly notorious figure, and because of that he’s hated by pretty much everyone when he first gets to Earth’s prison. Elio is just like nope, I’m adopting him. Ziad (Elio’s dad) is like ugh fucking fine u can keep him, and all the crooks know not to mess with Ziad. Rex is muscular, if a bit stocky, and his sense of smell is INSANE. he has two sisters and one brother (who is trans and their reunion is heartfelt and pure) who tease him relentlessly over his crush on the pretty blue princess, which is really comin to light around the time that he is able to reunite with his family!

Yala Qin, god where do I start. Ok first off she’s the REAL narrator of the story, and I always struggle b/w wanting to make the story 3rd person omniscient or just say fuck it and make it all from her pov. this story actually follows events in which she is the protag, a story that was literally originally just about her. Anyways, her name means Witness. She has blue skin, greenish eyes and thick, bluish green hair (I’m still debating between anything from royal blue to teal, it literally all looks good) that she grows out to go all the way past her waist and then lowkey be as tall as her. She has Asian features, as the Medorans all do. Her mother, Mikuzna, late Empress of the Medoran Empire, also had blue skin and is not of royal blood. It’s actually considered a Big Deal to the Medorans what color ur skin is, green being the most wealthy/noble class of Medorans. Yala Qin’s father, Garlo Ben, has green skin and red hair, as did his father before him, and as does Yala Qin’s older brother (ugh kff I can’t remember his name rn but all of their names are alien sounding intentionally bc when u think alien u think green skin and shit). Yala Qin and her younger brother, Phix Mik, took after her mother and got blue skin. The Medoran Nobility was NOT happy about Mikuzna becoming Empress but! Mikuzna is a key player even in death because she had the same powers as Yala Qin in life. She knew what she had to do and how to get the throne, just as well as she knew that the story had to unfold the way it was going to. Plus, she’s charming AF and no skin color can change that, Garlo Ben was SMITTEN ok. The third type of Medoran, and the far more common kind, as well as the lowest class, has purple skin and blondish hair (Phix Mik also has blondish hair too, almost white, to go with his blue skin. He’s soft. Smart boi, my fav. I lowkey ship him with Elio lmfao but I have some even better ships in mind.) 

So that’s Yala Qin’s whole backstory, and as u can see Blue is key to her whole lewk. Blue becomes the color of the rebellion because of how it was associated with the fall of the Medoran Empire, many taking it as a sign Mikuzna’s ascent to the throne was the sign of the apocalypse. She’s a princess, but she hasn’t been since she was young and landed on earth, so she’s bold and hard and mean. she bites. she fights with Rex a lot, naturally. She’s got layers and layers of thick skin because of who she is and she’s not backing down, and she goes through so much growth throughout the series, as they all do. Medorans can also breathe underwater and have webbed fingers and toes. Their home planet has red oceans and a pink sky, blue trees. or maybe the other way with the sky and trees idk whichever is prettier but def red oceans. Her powers, which she discovers once she gets back to her home planet, allow her to be two places at once, in a sense--the afterlife and the present timeline. There she is able to explore her past life, Sheva, and the lives of others through their souls. I would explain more but it’s very intricate and comes from the first story I was writing forever ago, so it’s a little hard to explain. basically Yala Qin, as her past life self Sheva, is able to interact with and see the souls of others in order to learn from the past and bring forward the correct future. Elio has faced off against his uncle in the past as their past lives, and have a primordial antagonism towards each other--up until now, Elio hasn’t been able to defeat him. Yala Qin is able to see all this and make corrections, but the only problem is that she doesn’t know whose soul belongs to who in real life. I’m not sure if this makes sense lol but I promise you I develop this arc over 7 whole books lmao. But so Yala Qin has these powers, she often goes between the two and that’s why Mikuzna knows she is the “Witness,” hence her name meaning in the Medoran language. 

ff wtf I didn’t realize how much I even wrote about them lmfao and I’m not even close to done but I’ve worked more on this than my paper, which just goes to show u where my heart is ugh
