Random things from my GoWxMarvel crossover fic
I've been working on this fic for SO LONG, I think I'm gonna cave and finally post the first 2 or 3 chapters soon. I won't update it for a good while after that but I just want to get the idea out there (almost like a proof of concept I guess). I've been hitting a slump in motivation to write and I think I wanna know some people out there are actually interested so think of this as a teaser of sorts.
Heres some silly things I've come up with while writing this completely self-indulgent crossover that I just need to get out of my system
For context: the idea for this fic is basically that Atreus gets zapped into the MCU and has to help the Avengers (plus a few extras) fight a bunch of monsters to get home.
When Atreus gets dropped into New York, one of the first things he does is accidentally break into a museum
Atreus makes the mistake of introducing himself as Loki, the Avengers kinda freak out at the idea of having two gods of mischief around while Loki himself finds the situation completely and utterly hilarious
Just a ton of me poking fun at the crazy differences in the Norse pantheons for each universe
Atreus nearly has a heart attack when he meets Thor, and the feeling is reciprocated when Thor panics after Atreus asks him if he's still married to Sif
Upon finding out that Odin is Loki's 'dad', Atreus has to stop himself from passing out from laughing at the idea
After becoming friends, Loki works up the courage to show Atreus his Jotunn skin. He's still kinda ashamed of it so he only shows like a hand or at most an arm. Atreus absolutely loves it! He thinks it is the coolest thing and is kinda jealous that he can't do it too (part of him gets a little sad at the same time because Loki's blue skin reminds him of Brok)
I completely changed the plot of Cap 3 for my fic, partly because I think that movie is stupid but also because I wanted to find a way to force Atreus into a fight with those other Winter Soldiers from the end of the movie (basically instead of killing them, Zemo is gonna use them as his goons)
When I started writing this fic, I knew I wanted Peter and Atreus to be friends. They have a lot of similarities in their character/stories, it just made sense to me. Sooooo . . . in the process of writing a bunch of scenes with them, I think I accidentally wrote them having big fat crushes on each other . . . I know I know, crossships in 2024??? You're right I'm insane
anyway, thats it for now.

Goddess of Muspelheim || GOW Ragnarök
Heimdall x OC
Tumblr media
-> *Chapter 1*
Chapter 2 || Time to see the sun again
She might have had enough space in her cell to walk around a bit, but she had absolutely no strength to get up. She was sitting against the wall and banging her head against it. She didn't even count the time she spent in this place.
Although she could, she once realized that Odin visited her once a month on average. It was the only way she could measure the passing time, because in her cell there was no access to light at all.
If it weren't for those damn chains, she might at least light up her surroundings a bit, but oh well... She couldn't help it. Once, in this damn darkness, she even tripped over a rock.
This day or night - for she had no idea of the time of day, after all - seemed to be just like any other.
However, something began to change. She stopped banging her head against the wall, hearing muffled voices from somewhere beyond the walls. She couldn't understand any of the words, but there was definitely someone near her prison, maybe even right next to her...
Again, those stupid childhood dreams came back to her, that someone would save her, get her out of this nasty place.
Stop it, it'll never happen. You stupid wench, Asgard will fall before you get out of here...
She closed her eyes, even though tears were already spilling out of them. It didn't make sense, no one would come to her aid, her whole family was dead, no need to delude herself...
She didn't even look up when she heard a noise, it must have been all in her head. She finally went crazy from this prison, that time came back to her when she had torn her own throat, screaming in helplessness, and then bursting into tears.
"Damn me..." She didn't open her eyes even hearing someone's voice she thought she recognized. It's only in your head, it's only in your head... "Amaris?"
No, it couldn't just be her imagination. She couldn't imagine that she saw flashes of sunlight, that someone grabbed her arm and crouched in front of her.
The mysterious person took her cheek gently and lifted her face up, which finally raised her gaze.
"I thought they killed you all... Say something, damn it, speak up!" She shook her by the shoulders, wanting to wake her up from the amok in which she seemed to have lost herself.
"Freya?" she finally asked quietly. Only now did she realize how long she hadn't uttered a word. "It seems to me... You... You aren't only in my mind? You are really here?"
"Yes, I'm here..." she said with little smile on her mouth. "Cut the chains, Kratos."
"Who is this? " Whoever Kratos was, he obviously came here with Freya.
"The daughter of my long-dead friends." Freya explained briefly, turning to her companion for a moment. "You're safe now, Ami, don't be afraid." She grabbed her hands, gently stroking the tops of them as if to show her support. At that time, Kratos still wary, approached pulled out the blades, with which he cut the chains binding her hands without any major problems. "Brok and Sindri will be able to get the rest of those handcuffs off by now. Come on, get up. You're free."
Free?
Will she really finally feel the sun's rays on her skin again? Her eyes are so used to the darkness, will she be able to withstand the light of day?
Will... Will she finally be able to get her revenge?
* * *
"Fuck, you look like something the cat dragged in! Where did you find her and who the fuck is she?" Brok expressed himself in his usual manner, trying to get rid of the metal surrounding the dark-haired woman's wrists.
"My name is Amaris." she murmured, wincing as the shackles on one hand finally began to release. "I'm..." she trailed off. She wanted to say that she was the daughter of the gods of Muspelheim, but remembered that her parents were dead. Now she is theoretically the goddess of Muspelheim, there is no one else who can claim that name.
"Mute?" he finished for her, removing the shackles from one wrist to the end, which almost made the girl cry out in pain. "Now you can see why they hold on so fucking tight.”
Well, after all, in order to deprive her of the ability to use her powers, the shackles had to constantly draw it from her. And to do that... They had to be under her skin.
Lots of small needles, right next to each other from the inside of the shackles, left a bleeding mark on her body, making the tattoos on her wrist almost invisible.
"Fuck..." She didn't pay so much attention to Brok's efforts any more, just stared at her hand as it began to... She was beginning to feel it. Sparks jumping between the fingers, yes, that was it.  "Haha! Brock wouldn't make it? I can do everything!" he shouted, pleased with the removal of the second shackles. Then he looked down at Amaris' hand, sparks jumping between her fingers. Immediately after, a bright glowing flame appeared above her hand. At the same time, an orange flash passed through her dark eyes. "Okay, it's all fucking clear now! You brought me a damn goddess of fire! I knew that name reminded me of something...!" he shouted, setting aside his tools.
It was... Amazing feeling. After ten years of feeling this unbearable emptiness, of being unable to use her powers at all, she was finally able to use them again. It was a damn good feeling to be able to summon fire again with the snap of her fingers, to feel its warmth on her hand.
She dropped her hand and extinguished the flame as Freya sat down beside her to bandage her bleeding wrists. But it didn't matter anymore, all that pain was nothing compared to the fact that she was free, nothing was holding her back anymore.
"With the help of these herbs, even such old wounds will heal..." Freya said, tying a bandage. She smiled softly as she looked at Ami. "What did Odin want from you, why didn't he kill you? Because I'm guessing he was the one holding you there..."
"I do not know what he wanted..." she replied with a shrug.
"Leave the girl alone now, can't you see how she looks like? An image of misery and despair. Let her wash and settle, I want to find out if it's true what was once said about the gods of Muspelheim. They look as hot as..."
"Brok." Freya interrupted him, admonishing him at the same time.
"Yeah, sure, you could use a wash... and change into some clean clothes..." said Sindri, the one most obsessed with cleanliness of all. "We'll find you something perfect to wear" he said and disappeared.
"Freya..." Amaris began softly, catching her hand. "Odin must pay for what he has done to all of us."
"We won't go to war with Asgard." Kratos said, speaking for the first time since the beginning of this whole conversation.
"You don't have to. But I won't let go that easily. My whole family slaughtered by them like animals, in front of my eyes... After spending so much time in their world, I've come to like them, even trust them... And they treated me like garbage. I won't let go until they pay me back with interest."
There was no talking about peace as long as she was alive. As soon as any opportunity arises, she will be very happy to let them all go up in smoke.
"You know what? I'd let her fuck up the whole As-fucking-gard. After ten years in the dark she deserves something from life."
"I agree." Freya supported the idea. After all, she herself had reason to take revenge on Odin.
"We weren't supposed to lead to war, to ragnarok." Kratos spoke up again, with his usual impassive voice.
"You're saying that to the goddess of fire who's fucking pissed off. You really think a glass of water will be enough to cool her ardor, huh?"
Brok got the point, it's not enough. Nothing will stop her from doing this, they'd have to kill her to stop her. Asgard will burn, and she will watch it with a smile.
Was it certain?

Hiii can you do a poly marauders x fem reader where girls are being mean to her like calling her ugly and saying she dosnt deserve them so she’s breaks up but they find out what’s been happening and they get back together . (I couldn’t see if your requests are closed) ❤️
Greedy [Poly Marauders]
A/N: Thank you so much for your request! You’re just fueling my addiction with writing poly Marauders fics… and I love it!!
Pairings: Poly! Marauders x Fem!reader
Words: 2.9k
Warnings: Fluff, polyamorous relationship, breakup, mentions of not eating, crying, reader being sad, mean girls. Lmk if I missed anything.
“Honestly you’re just being greedy!”
“They don’t even really like you; you were just the easiest.”
“You’re not even pretty enough for one of them, what makes you think you could have all three?”
“It’s only a matter of time before they get bored of you and trade you in for someone better and more deserving of their love.”
The words swarmed around your brain, a thick fog settling before your eyes as tears streamed down your face making everything blurry and wet. Your feet were clumsily transporting your body back to your dorm, trying your best to keep your head down avoiding the stares your fellow students were giving you.
You were trying to forget and ignore what those girls had said, but it kept playing on repeat in your mind. You knew that your three boys loved you, but the girl’s words filled your head with doubt. You knew that your boyfriends were too good for you, you didn’t deserve them, they would be better off without you or with somebody else. The thoughts were killing you; more tears escaped your eyes at the thought of them with somebody else tearing you apart, but it was necessary for their happiness. You could never make them happy; you could never be enough for them.
You ascended the stairs towards the girls’ dormitories but decided against it opting towards going to your boy’s dorm, wanting to feel the comfort of their room one last time.
You opened the wooden door but met by silence from the other side. The boys still had an hour of class left, leaving you to sit in sadness alone for a while longer before you would be breaking your own heart.
Walking across the room you stood in front of the mirror taking in your reflection, red puffy eyes, tear-stained cheeks. Looking at yourself you understood what the girls saw, you had no idea how Remus, Sirius, and James had stayed with you as long as they had, but it was time you finally put them out of their misery even though it was killing you. Thinking about what would happen in less than an hour the tears pooled in your eyes once more, but you quickly grabbed a tissue from the box on Remus’ desk beside the mirror and wiped your eyes and the falling tears. You made your way into the connected bathroom, wanting to at least look somewhat presentable before the boys returned. You washed your face with cold water, the cool water washing away any redness, but not concealing the sadness that still lingered in your eyes.
The book in front of you could not hold your attention, your focus solely on the door of the dorm, just waiting. James’ soft blanket comforting you slightly but never distracting enough.
The door burst open and the loud chatter between the boys filled the quiet room. Their laughs warmed your heart, momentarily causing you to forget what was going to happen.
“Bunny, you’re here!” Remus just about shouted, running to you and getting on top of you kissing you all over your face.
You couldn’t help the giggle that left your lips, but sadness bubbled up within you at the fact that you would never experience this again.
You softly pushed Remus off of you making him sit on his calves looking at you in a very confused manner.
“I need to talk with all of you,” you said trying to keep your voice steady, hoping they couldn’t tell how much you had been crying.
Sirius and James made their way to the bed as well, sitting beside Remus.
“That sounds so serious… you aren’t breaking up with us are you, pup?” Sirius joked, but your eyes widened, and you opened your mouth to reply, but no sound came out.
“Wait?! Are you?” James asked worriedly, noticing your face and lack of words.
You were fiddling with your hands, not looking in their eyes.
“Uhm… well… the thing is…. Uhm… y-yes.”
Tears filled your eyes when you finally muttered the words, not believing this was real, but you knew it needed to be done.
“What?! No! I was just kidding, you can’t break up with us, why would you say that?!” Sirius exclaimed, not believing his own ears. Tears gathered in all of their eyes, unbeknownst to you, since you still refused to meet their eyes.
“Bunny… you don’t mean that,” Remus tried, his voice breaking slightly at the effort of trying to contain his tears.
“I-I do, I’m s-sorry, I can’t be with you anymore,” you stammered, tears now leaking down your face once more. Your hands were shaking, and your limbs felt heavy, your heart shattering into a million pieces. You quickly got off of the bed facing the door wanting nothing more than to leave, not wanting to look at their faces because you knew if you did you would break even more.
They all stood from the bed as well walking towards you. James reached for your arm, but Sirius stopped him.
“Please, y/n, don’t do this… we love you; don’t you love us?” James tried, not trying to conceal his tears any longer, letting them fall freely down his cheeks.
“It’s f-for the b-best.”
“Y/n, don’t you love us anymore?” Sirius repeated James’ question since you chose to not answer, not wanting to lie.
A long silence ensued, you didn’t want to lie, but you knew that it was what you had to do for them to hate you.
“… n-no,” you whispered.
All of their hearts collectively shattered. Both Remus and James were freely crying, but Sirius was fuming, angry tears rolling down his cheeks.
“Fine! Then leave!” Sirius shouted causing you to jump slightly. Sirius felt his heartbreak and he felt guilty for scaring you, but he was just so angry and sad, he didn’t know how to handle it.
You quickly walked towards the door opening it, but before you left you turned around letting yourself cave and get one last look. Your breath caught in your throat when you took in their tear-covered faces, your already shattered heart turned to dust.
Whispering an almost inaudible ‘I’m sorry, you slid out the door, leaving the boys heartbroken and most of all confused as to when you suddenly stopped loving them.
You raced towards your own dorm, opening and slamming the door shut as soon as you had made it inside. As soon as the door was completely shut your legs failed you and you crumbled on the floor, loud sobs leaving your quivering lips. You had never felt pain like this before, it felt like someone had cut your heart out and ripped it apart in front of you, leaving you a bleeding broken mess.
Lily, who was laying in her bed, was startled by your sudden entrance but was quickly by your side as soon as you collapsed.
“Y/n/n, what’s wrong? What did they do?” she asked, clearly expecting the boys to be behind this, but also not quite believing they could hurt you to this point.
“I-I b-brok-e up w-w-with them!” you sobbed out, hiccups making it much harder to formulate a decent-sounding sentence.
“You did what?! Why? Just yesterday you were madly in love… what happened?” Lily’s confusion shone clearly through her tone, not understanding why you would do such a thing.
“P-please, I j-just want to sl-sleep,” there was nothing you wanted more than to lay in your bed and just disappear.
Lily just nodded and helped you towards your bed, helping you remove your shoes and grabbing your sleepshirt, which happened to be one of the boys’ shirts.
“Do you want to sleep in this?” Lily asked carefully.
You instantly nodded and grabbed the shirt from her grasp, wanting nothing more than to be comforted by your boys, but since that wasn’t an option, you opted for this.
Slipping into the warmth of your blanket the tears never ceased, but your eyes still fell shut, wanting to sleep the pain away.
“Do you want me to grab dinner for you later?” Lily asked softly, but already knowing the answer.
“No thanks… can you close the curtains around my bed?”
Lily sighed but did as you asked, knowing you just needed time.
In their dorm, Remus and James were pacing around the room whilst Sirius sat on Remus’ bed, trying to calm himself before dinner.
“I don’t understand, we were all fine yesterday,” James muttered loudly enough for the two others to hear him as well.
“What is it you don’t understand, Prongs? She loved us and now she doesn’t, ‘s as simple as that,” Sirius stated, his tone laced with bitterness, choosing to be angry instead of letting the sadness consume him.
Remus stopped his pacing and looked at Sirius’ seated form, “you don’t really believe that do you, Pads? … Prongs is right, we were all fine yesterday.”
Sirius just let out a ‘humph’ and crossed his arms, rising from the bed.
“Whatever, let’s just go to dinner… she’ll probably be there celebrating her freedom from us.”
This time James stopped to look at Sirius, “you know she would never do that and besides something doesn’t seem right… it’s too out of the blue.”
Remus nodded and let out an agreeing hum and they both followed Sirius towards the door.
Days passed; you hadn’t left your bed unless you had to use the bathroom. You were drowning in tears the pain in your heart not subsiding.
The teachers were informed that you were “sick” and that you needed some time to recover from your sudden illness.
The only time you had gotten any form of nutarians was when Lily basically forced you to consume something, anything. She was growing more worried each passing day, having talked to the boys and keeping them updated on your situation, since they all were worried as well and asked her to keep an eye on you for them since they hadn’t seen you since the day of the breakup.
The news of your breakup spread like wildfire; people not used to see the three boys without even a trace of you.
Remus was the first to experience a couple of the girls flirting very aggressively with him, but he brushed it off, knowing they could never replace you; it was you or nothing. Sirius was the next, he was less nice and told the girls to leave him alone. Lastly was James, he almost cried, wishing he could get you back, so he could be free from any other girls.
The girls were growing agitated by the lack of attention they were getting from the three Marauders, clearly not understanding why they were so upset by losing you.
It had been more than a week; Lily was studying in the library when she heard your name spoken behind one of the bookshelves. She stood from her seat, moving closer to listen to the girls on the other side.
“Ugh, it’s so frustrating! Sirius totally dismissed me the other day,” one of the girls complained.
“I know! I don’t understand, it’s been a week, they should be over her by now.”
“Don’t worry, they’ll soon realize that she wasn’t even that great and then they’ll be all over us,” the last girl said with a proud smirk.
The wheels in Lily’s head turned as she absorbed the conversation and as the last cog clicked into place realization struck – her legs couldn’t have moved faster out of the library if she tried, but she was on a mission to find the three heartbroken Marauders.
“REMUS!” Lily was sprinting towards the black lake where the three boys had been residing most of the week.
“Woah, Lily, calm down, love,” Remus chuckled and got up from his seated position to be level with Lily.
Lily sputtered, trying to catch her breath, bending so her hands were on her knees.
“Y/n… y/n,” Lily started, still struggling to get a word in between her gasping breaths.
“What’s wrong with y/n? is she okay?” Sirius said as he and James stood, panic flooding between the three of them at the thought that something had happened to you.
“She’s… fine… hhhh…” Lily drew a deep breath, regaining her ability to speak, “I don’t think she wanted to break up with you.”
“What do you mean?” Remus cocked an eyebrow, hope blossoming in the pit of his stomach at the prospect of getting their bunny back.
“She obviously did, she said she doesn’t love us anymore, so that’s it,” Sirius crossed his arms, his sadness still concealed by anger.
“She does love you, a lot actually… she’s been crying the whole week, she hasn’t left her bed… or dorm room for that matter,” Lily explained.
“I heard some girls talking about you three and y/n; they were speaking very ill of her and though I’m not sure, I think there’s a connection with them and y/n’s sudden need to end it with you three.”
“Are you sure? We don’t want to get our hopes up for nothing… we just really miss her,” James said sadly, all of them scared that their hearts would be broken all over again.
“I’m certain… she never shuts up about how much she loves you, which was the reason I was so shocked when she came in crying saying she had ended it.”
Lily hadn’t had the chance to properly finish her explanation before Sirius was bolting towards the castle and towards Gryffindor tower, with Remus and James close on his heel.
When three boys entered your dorm room, all out of breath and red in their faces, you were asleep curled up on your bed, still wearing what the boys recognized as Sirius’ t-shirt. They couldn’t ignore the dried tears that stained your cheeks, your face red from the crying, your lips turned down in a sad frown, even in sleep.
Remus was the first to walk towards your bed, seating himself beside you, slowly stroking your cheek as to wake you. James and Sirius placed themselves on the bed as well, waiting for you to open your beautiful eyes.
“Puppy… you gotta wake up now,” Sirius spoke softly, rubbing your back gently.
You stirred and slowly opened your eyes, focusing on the three boys on your bed; instantly deciding that you were dreaming, not believing that they could really be there.
“Hi… Remmy, Siri, and Jamsie,” you grogged out, voice hoarse from the constant crying.
“I wish you were here in real life.”
“Baby, we are here, this is real life,” James chuckled softly, still scared that you really didn’t love them.
You quickly sat up, reaching out and touching Remus’ face, only to just as quickly retract your hand when you felt the very real Remus sitting in front of you.
“What are you doing here?” You breathed quickly, not wanting them to see you in your broken state.
“Lily was worried about you… and she overheard something interesting in the library from some girls… so we want you to tell us what happened,” Remus spoke slowly and reached out to take your fiddling hands in his.
“What do you mean?” you played dumb, not wanting to answer their question, knowing you would break again if you did.
“We want you to tell us why you broke up with us, and not to lie this time,” Sirius was trying to conceal his anger, not wanting to upset you even further.
You let out a shaky breath, not knowing where to start; you looked between them all, all of them eager to hear what you had to say and listening intently.
“I was talking to this group of girls, and they got into my head about how you're all too good for me I don't deserve you... I just feel like you guys deserve someone way better than me and more beautiful than me that's why I wanted to give you an opportunity to be free from me.”
The three boy’s eyes widened in shock at your words, all three of their jaws open wide almost hanging on the floor from pure disbelief.
“Bunny, you're the most beautiful girl we've ever known we love you so much more than you ever know... We are the ones who don't deserve you, you’re an absolute angel and you should never let any stupid lowlife girls tell you that you're not good enough,” Remus said reaching out and stroking your cheek softly, tears gathered in his eyes.
Sirius’s eyes flashed red, he was in two minds, keeping you company or going to murder the girls who made you believe such nonsense, but he chose the first option, scooting closer to you and engulfing you in his arms.
“Puppy, please never listen to those stupid girls again... This week without you has been pure agony I've been stuck with these two idiots for far too long,” Sirius whispered to you whilst stroking your hair.
“Does that mean that we can get back together,” James said with a shy grin.
“Of course, if you'll have me back,” you looked at all three of them hopefully knowing that they in no way were obligated to get back together with you after what you'd put them through.
“Of course, will have you, we can't imagine life without you… a week was way too long without you,” Sirius said, his fingers tilting your chin so that you're forced to look into his eyes, he leaned down and kissed your lips - a whole week's worth of passion translated into this kiss.
Remus and James both moved so that they could embrace both you and Sirius creating one big ball of love.

How I feel
How I feel
Pairing: Javier Peña x DEA!reader!
Song: Lo Que Siento - CUCO
Warnings: Torture, Flash backs, alcohol abuse, angst, little bit of fluff
Summery: 2 years ago the DEA dismissed (y/n) from Colombia after being tortured by Escobars men. When a new light shines on her American leads she comes back to Colombia to reunite with her old partners. Steve Murphy her over caring best friend, and Javier Peña the dumb asshole who fell in love with her the moment they met.
Authors note: the lyrics will change from Javier to Reader to both
This one shot is like everywhere and probably confusing and I’m sorry, also how did I turn a fluffy song into angst?
Tumblr media
Dream in’ of you when I’m alone
It really had been 2 years since he missed his chance to be with her. Since the day they said she was leaving, since the moment he felt his heart drop. He could’ve told her then and there, he loved her, she shouldn’t go. But that would tear her apart, and she had been threw enough. Plus there was no way she felt the same, not after everything he’d done, and everything she knew. She was probably happy to go.
He watched her from the window of the office, he couldn’t hear anything they were saying but he could see the tears on her face as she yelled. Steve watched in shock, never knowing her to speak above an inside voice, even when she threatened someone she was always calm. It was almost scary. And for her to be yelling at the ambassador was crazy. It wasn’t like her but whatever was said was infuriating to her. Soon she came storming out of the room and stopped once she saw Steve and Javier looking at her with concern.
“I’ve been dismissed...”
Baby don’t trip, I’m comin home
She remembered it like it was yesterday, the pain on his face when she told them she was leaving. The chance she missed with him, Yea he was her partner but that didn’t stop how she felt about him. It didn’t stop the fact that he plagued her mind worse the Pablo Escobar. It didn’t stop the fact that he was her happy place. She missed the late night calls when one of them had a rough day and ended up drinking beer and watching terrible Telenovela with each other, just kicking back and relaxing. So the drive to Bogota was as fast as she could put it, already dressed and ready to walk into the office and to see him, and Steve of course.but mostly Javi, the one that got away.
“No fucking way...” Steve said, not even noticing it slipped from his mouth. Javier stood up from his seat and looked at her in complete disbelief.
“Why?” He asked, maybe a little more aggressive then he should’ve been.
“I’m “to invested”” she said shaking her and and wiping her eyes, she didn’t give a shit that anyone was seeing her cry in the office. “It’s just a bullshit excuse of saying they got what they wanted from me...”
“No, you are so much more then a throw away, (y/n)” Javier said moving towards her, taking a napkin from his drawer and wiping her mascara away. “You’re one of the strongest people I know. But maybe this is better for you.” He had no clue why he said that, but it was true, she’s safer in America and that’s all he really cared about, but he didn’t want her to go.
“I’m okay!” She said looking at him and Steve.
“You haven’t said a single thing about what happened to you... I don’t think you are okay...” Steve said looking at her, he was right, she wasn’t okay. She rolled her eyes and looked away.
“You guys want to have one last drink together?”
Kick it with me I don’t care if the sun is gone
She could see his car outside as she pulled into the Embassy, it got her excited knowing she could see him. When she stepped out of the car she was met with a familiar blonde headed man instantly.
“Steve?” She asked and he turn, cigarette falling from his mouth as he saw her. The excitement on his face was that of a child on Christmas as he ran hugging her tightly. “Oh my gosh!” She giggled hugging him back tightly. He truly was her best friend and seeing him again was an amazing feeling.
“Oh my god!” He said holding her, pulling away to look at her face. “You’re here!” He smiled and shook his head in disbelief looking her up and down taking in her presence as if it was fake.
“I’m here!” She laughed and hugged him again, the brief case she held long forgotten as she hugged her old friend.
“Have you talked to Javier?” Steve asked as they finally pulled away. She didn’t think Javier would really care, hes Javier and as much as that hurt, it was true. She didn’t think he’d even blink twice.
“No why?” She asked looking at Steve.
“You don’t know...”
“Know what?”
“Hey Javi, can I-“ Steve was cut off by the door opening and showing a very drunk and crying Javier. He was falling part. “What the hell happened to you?” Steve asked before walking into his apartment.
“What do you want?” Javier asked watching Steve, who walked into his kitchen grabbing a cup and filling it with water. Taking the bottle from Javiers hand and putting the water in it.
“Drink that.”
“Don’t tell me what to do.” Javier snapped back, Steve had no clue what this was about but he could take a few guesses.
“It’s what (y/n) would want...” Steve said watching him.
“Yea well she’s not here is she....” Javier said sitting in his couch and lighting a cigarette.
“That’s what this is about?” Steve said putting away the whiskey and turning back to his partner. “So what? You love her? That’s why you’re so bent up by this?” He guess but he couldn’t have been more right and it pissed Javier off.
“What do you know Steve!” Javier started but Steve cut him off.
“Everything! My wife left with my kid Javi! She’s back in Miami while I’m here with you, and you’re going threw the same thing I did! So yes I know what this is like, now get your shit together!”
Baby don’t cry when I am gone
“Come on he’s inside, he’ll be excited to see you.” Steve said picking up her brief case and walking with her inside, he hadn’t even asked why she was there yet. He didn’t really care, as long as she was here, and she’d fix javiers attitude. She always pulled him from his shit. She walked in seeing Javier at his desk, to caught up in his work to notice her yet.
He missed her so much at this point he was used to hearing her voice in his head, he wasn’t ready to hear her right now tho.
“Javier?” All the times she’d thought about what she would say to him were out the window, she was at a loss for words as she actually stood in front of him again.
he on the other hand almost couldn’t stop himself from spilling his guts to her when he actually saw her. If she hadn’t have hugged him and make him quiet he would have said everything.
Promise you are everything I want
Her arms wrapped around him tightly, his falling around her waist and pulling her closer to him. Taking her in, almost thinking he was dreaming if he didn’t smell her mix of perfumes she always wore, lavender and vanilla. Since it was just them in his office, Murphy taking the brief case to the ambassador like she wanted, leaving them be. He couldn’t contain himself.
“Oye cariño, sólo pienso en ti.” He said pulling away looking at her face, she didn’t wear makeup other then mascara, probably because of her flight over. She opened her mouth to speak but he put his finger to her lips and continued.
“When I wake up in the morning, and go back to sleep at night...” he shook his head, still in disbelief she was here. He knew he probably should have waited to tell her all of this but he couldn’t stop himself, he didn’t know if he’d get another chance.
“Everyday... I wished you were mine.” He pushed hair away from her face as her eyes began to water. “I think about you all the time...”
“Javier...” tears were starting to spill from the overwhelming emotions she was experiencing, not knowing how to properly understand them, of course she felt the same way but she didn’t know he would return them.
“I would dream about...” he continued, wiping away her tears, her mascara holding much better then the last time he saw her cry. “I always feel like I’m flying...” she chuckled and looked at him.
“You’ve been reading to much...” she said looking at him, he chuckled and looked at her.
“Maybe I have been, but I meant it, and I hope y-“ she shut him up quickly, placing a quick kiss to his lips, lingering longer then she should’ve. He was so shocked but chased her lips for more.
Lost in the words you say to me
“ I’d be lying if I said I came here for you, but I’d also be lying if I said I didn’t hope to do that...” she said once they finally pulled away, he smiled but then quickly realized hat she said.
“Wait why are you here?” He asked concern washing over him as he remembered everything that happened.
“La quica...” she said her eyes watering with a new type of tears. La Quica was the name that tortured her, taunted her in her sleep. It was also the name that Javier has been searching for for months now and didn’t have a damn sign of him.
I’m on top of the world
“La Quica? La Quica is in America?” He asked looking at her, concern flooding his way body.
“Was...”
“Was?! What happened?” Javier asked turning and grabbing filed from his desk.
“He uh.... saw me.... which brings me to my next point.” She watch him and he stopped doing what he was doing to look at her. “Escobar thinks I’m dead...”
Baby girl can’t you see
She was hanging from the ceiling, wrists bloodied from the chains that bound them. They had already asked her so many questions and she gave into zero of them. She was strong, she could take it, at least til Javier got there. Till someone saved her. La Quica was already talking about killing her, letting her die here and go. She was useless to them. So that’s what he did, cutting deep into her calves letting her scream out in pain as they left, left her to bleed out on the floor of the nasty building. But Javier and Steve showed up fast. But still by the time they came in she was pasted out from blood loss.
It was the moment Javier realized he loved her, the moment he almost lost her the first time. Seeing her completely abused and broken, it broke him more then he’d ever admit. He wished it was him, he wished he would have been out there when they took her. All she did was go for a smoke break outside the bar and 3 days later they find her like this. If he would have went with her she could have been fine, she could have been safe in his arms watching shitty telenovela and drinking beer. But no, he had to flirt with the girl at the bar, he had to be distracted when she said she was going out.
“J-Javier...” he voice croaked out, raspy and broken. “J-Javi”
“Sssshhhh” he let out holding her hand as the paramedics finally rushed in. “You’re going to be okay...” he said as they took her.
I found my perfect girl
They saved her, at the hospital, she needed a few pints of blood and got it for her quickly. But they were missing at least one of her blood type, lucky for her Javier happened to be the same blood type as her.
No one ever really told her that Javier gave blood for her, no one told her that Javier literally gave part of him to her. It was his little secret, it was kinda creepy but she’s alive because of it and he worshiped that.
He came up with a plan, when she was better and able to go back to work and everything calmed down, he’d tell her. He’d expose his feelings for her and love her how she deserved, of course if she wanted that. But he never got the chance.
I want to make you my queen
The thoughts of what happened back then, brought down the feel of the room, Steve senses it as soon as he walked in.
“Woah... who died, this was supposed to be a happy day...” he said looking between them, she shook her head.
“I’ll get those files from the car...” she walked out leaving Steve and Javier.
“What the hell happened?” Steve asked leaning on his desk, crossing his arm.
“Did you know why she’s here?” Javier asked looking at him, running his fingers threw his hair stressed.
“The embassy wanted papers from when she worked here?” Steve said in a questioning tone.
“La Quica was in Miami...” Javier said grabbing the fils from his desk again, Steve was shocked to say the least but quickly changed the subject since it was best to ask (y/n)
“So have your dreams become reality yet?” Steve asked, Javier knew immediately what he was talking about. He rolled his eyes and grabbed his cigarettes.
“Time will tell...”
After the meeting with the other DEA members everyone went home since it was late. (Y/n) however hadn’t had a place to go since her old apartment was now occupied and her new one wasn’t done yet. So like always, she ended up at javiers.
She was sitting on his couch in her pajamas, looking over a case file of stuff she missed. He was in the kitchen grabbing some beer, walking back to her. “I mean what I said... all of it.” Javier commented, causing her to look up from the file.
“Javier-“
“Let me finish...” he sat the beers down in front of them. “I love you... “
“That’s not who you are Javier... you’re not the type of person to love... you sleep around with almost ever women in bogota and I can’t-“
“I promise I don’t want nobody else to be around me but you.” She shook her head in disbelief as she looked at him, he moved closer, his lips grazing hers as he spoke. “And nobody’s touches, and nobody’s lips can make you feel the way you’re do...” he finished with giving her a light kiss which she returned. Her hand interlocking with his as their lips met again.
“Hermosa, we’ll be okay.”

‘Where is she?’ The boy in front of him was nervous.
‘She’s not here, sir’. He swallowed his thoughts, he knew for a fact that he was unaware of the situation. ‘I haven’t seen her since before prom, she never came’.
There was sadness in his words.
‘Please, if you know something that can help me found my precious daughter… if you really love her as you said that day when you asked me to date her, then by all means tell me’.
Izuku’s tears sprayed hard from his eyes, thick and salty, with a lot of emotions behind.
‘You should ask your wife’. He looked him directly in the eyes, his green ones meeting his e/c orbs. ‘And if she returns, please let her know that I’m sorry I couldn’t help her when she needed the most…’
The door closed, the boy being apologetic and praying for your safety.
How could he not thought about it? That damn woman...
‘Where is my child?’ the men asked his wife. ‘You said that the boy took her out for prom, but she never even showed up there!
‘I sent her away’. She smiled with pride, ‘she’s not gonna bother us anymore!’
‘What do you mean?’
‘Exactly as I said’, a snicker came out of her mouth. ‘That little bitch is far away from us and will never bother us, she’s never coming back’.
‘Tell me!’ The man was stunned. ‘Where is my baby girl?’
‘I AM YOUR BABY GIRL’ She screamed.
‘You are sick!’ The man was crying, his heart was shattered. ‘Give me my daughter back or I’m calling the police!’.
‘Oh no, you won't’. A sharp pain came from the top of his head, with the sound of glass scattering all along the floor. ‘I didn’t send her away just to be in jail!’.
Your father was on the floor, bleeding from the wound in his head, the pain was numb when the adrenaline kicked in. His legs moved to the door, trying to reach the outside and call for help but his feet stumble with a big box on the grass.
‘Luggage?’ The purple suitcase with the green heart that he once bought for you were there, covered in a lot of dirt and leaves, his eyes traveled to a black leather pouch that once was his and you stole it from him at a very young age… A lot of other things dispersed and not well hidden. A lot of things went through his mind, causing a migraine, but he had to run first and then search for his joy in life. ‘Help, somebody, HELP!’
The woman was behind him, with a knife in hand and her face twisted in anger, she was not going to let him go, not after all the work she had done.
‘You are staying with me,’ and before even knowing the knife sunk on his back. ‘Finally, just the two of us’.
At the other side of the word things were not going well either, the first couple of days were normal but then things changed for the worst. Three meals a day turned to two, and two turned to one, now and then you would save food for later, for the baby growing inside.
Once the first month goes by the fear started to rise, and you wanted to go back, to hug your father, to kiss your ex-boyfriend, to go to a doctor to check on you or at least eat something else than bread and water for a day. You were starving but pushing harder and grabbing your life onto you, begging to whoever was up there to keep you and your child safe.
Was it a girl? Was it a boy? You knew that by this time the doctor would already told you, and you were guessing a boy, for one specific reason… if it was a boy, the family son would not put a finger on him nor make him uncomfortable.
You started thinking about names, the father of the child had a last name with “green” on it, and the Deku nickname made you thought of the trees in one of your favorite video games.
So green and tree, like spring, right?
‘Haru’, you said in a whispered silence. It was weird hearing your voice after all those months in the basement, and the sound of it made you feel warm, like the spring you and Izuku met each other at the entrance exam, or the spring when you shared your first kiss, or the spring where you shared your bodies… spring gave you such a good amount of memories, so why not?
Haru was the name, Haru Midoriya, because you knew he, Izuku, would have stayed with you even in a young pregnancy. You were grateful that you had waited up until your eighteen birthday, he was months older than you so both were on the perfect age to understand what were you doing, on the age to live and explore the ups and downs of life, together… even with a child, but here you were, alone and about to explode.
Wait… explode?
And then it hit you, the cramps and the liquid. When did the time passed so fast? When were you ready to give birth? It was as if the minutes and hours and days and months were mere seconds, as if you were sleeping and everything was going so fast.
Again… more pain, and more and more.
Giving birth was not the easiest thing in a normal environment, but being held hostage on a house far away from home, locked on the basement and with nothing but yourself was hell.
‘Pleas—’ You hissed on the door, punching it with all your might. ‘Help me, my water brok—’
It was the first time you spoke to other that Haru or yourself, but now that those words were for someone else they felt weird, unnatural, uncomfortable and disgusting.
You shouldn’t be talking with them or the punches would turn worst that they already were, or maybe that son of a bitch would come back to have sex and hit you again and again and again.
The first time he did something to you it felt as if you just killed Izuku, as if the promise was broken, not only touching but penetrating and inserting things… not only his, but from another people, randomly. That time you got your lip broken and a black eye, an sprained ankle and marks from cigarettes all over your arms. It hurted you, yes, but the moment he entered you was as if your soul left your body, ignoring everything really going on, as if you were an empty case, a fuck doll, rags, not a human no more.
And the goal of all this was to gave you a miscarriage, that and that the bastard was boring or so he said, and heaven knows why that purpose was never fulfilled, maybe it was a plan from God that this child lived. And it was going to live, even without a doctor to help you, you were going to be a mother, and a mother always protects her child. And your memories trailed back to the women who gave birth to you, she was never a mother, she was just a women, an stranger… and nothing else and nothing more.
‘Pleas—’ You hissed on the door, punching it with all your might. ‘Help me, my water brok—’
Screams filled the room, and you fell to your knees, the pain from that hit was nothing compared to the one between your legs. You pushed yourself up and walk to the corner, there you had everything prepares for your shower, and now it had a new purpose,  the shower could wait. The seconds felt like minutes and the minutes like hours, so much pain coming from your body and a lot of fluids running down your legs. A trembling hand reached in between them, and you could feel it… the head was coming, almost crowning.
No medical or prenatal care, no new clothes for the unborn, no nothing. Not even help for the delivery, how in the world could you take care of the baby without even being able to take care of yourself? Giving birth was not the easiest thing in a normal environment, but being held hostage on a house far away from home, locked on the basement and with nothing but yourself was hell.
Tears were streaming down your e/c eyes, but you pushed, and you moved your body to a relatively comfortable position and kept pushing. And you remember that one video you watched before the two blue marks appeared, scared of the reality, but now you were grateful of it.
There you had hot water, and towels, all there for the new life…
And ready or not, the baby was coming.
You were going to have a child.
You were not a child anymore.

Anyway, remember my arranged marriage au idea? I did a little something
It’s the third time in a row in which Katsuki swipes his finger over his phone to reject the call of his mother, when he gets the text. He growls at it, stands and scares the minions in his office in the process.
“If this is all, I need to leave.”
“But Bakugou-san, we still need to discuss next month’s budget adjustments. We were way over-“
“Make the arrangements and I’ll sign it off. I need to go,” he tells the man and makes his way out. “I want the report for last week’s mission on my desk by morning. Get someone over to the police station to gather the intel behind next month’s joined operation and get it done by Monday.”
“But that’s imposs-“
“You heard what I said,” Katsuki says and has to restrain himself from running to his car. Damn the old hag. She just has to pull this shit on a Wednesday morning, when he’s working. Once in the car, he doesn’t stop to take his gloves off, just hits the road and removes one, then the other with his teeth.
The phone connects just when he reaches his apartment. “Why, I thought you were ignoring my calls?”
“Touch my shit and I’ll kill you,” he says, just as he opens the front door to his apartment and sees his mother sitting smugly on his couch. Putting his phone away, he points at the door. “Out,” he growls.
“Your manners are horrible. I guess that’s on me. But really, that you would race right home just because I took a picture of your precious collection.” His mother tuts and then stands up, handing him the clothing in her arms. “Get dressed, we have places to be.”
“I’m not walking into one of your schemes. And you are one step away from becoming a complete lunatic.”
She gives him a glare that almost makes him take a step back but Katsuki holds his ground. It’s his home, damn it. “I’m aware that I almost became a cliché, cutting holes into your shirts to get you to come back home. See how desperate I am? Anyway, your father signed off on this one so either you come along or he will visit you tonight.”
Katsuki snatches the clothes from his mother’s hands and gives her a glare of his own. “That’s low, even for you.”
“Gotta use all my resources, wouldn’t you agree? He’s becoming even more sentimental lately, now that your career has taken a rise.”
Katsuki doesn’t bother listening further, instead makes a beeline for his room to get changed. Whatever his mother is planning, it requires traditional clothing, so he finds himself changing into a black kimono. Scrunching his face up at the soft fabric, he calls his mother and she comes in, fussing about and getting every fold into order before she looks him over and nods once.
The moment she pulls her phone out, he makes he goes to the door. He draws the line at pictures. “Let’s get this shit over with so that I can get back to work.”
“Look happy that you get to spend time with me, brat.”
“Not when you keep putting me into those situations. If this is another blind date, I’ll walk out the moment we arrive and leave you there.”
“Just get into the car and get us to this wonderful hotel.”
Katsuki frowns, looking at the hotel name. He thinks he heard about it before, but he can’t be sure. “What are we doing there?”
“A meeting,” his mother replies as she closes the car door and adjusts her belt.
“With?”
She gives him a small smile, obviously not willing to say more on the topic. So, he turns to the street. Just before they arrive at the hotel, he says, “This time, you give me my key back.”
“If you promise to sit through the whole thing.”
“Old hag, this isn’t funny.”
“Yeah, yeah. I give it back to you. Whatever. Just pull over. We are late already.”
Katsuki parks and gets out of the car, holding his hand out. Once his mother realizes he won’t move until he’s got his key, she pulls it out of her purse and huffs, as she hands it over. “I’m doing this for you,” she insists but Katsuki doesn’t bother replying.
They have been over this a few times and he’s drawing the line. “Just lead the way.”
“You used to be cute,” she says but leads the way anyway. Katsuki grins as he follows her and wonders how he can get her back for this. Maybe he can get his father in on it.
They reach a room just before he can finalize any concrete plans and his mother opens the door, apologizing as she does so. Inside, Katsuki sees a familiar face and immediately stops. He’s just about to open his mouth and demand explanations, when his mother reaches back and takes a hold of his wrist. “Katsuki had work to do before the meeting. I hope you didn’t wait terribly long, Inko.”
“Don’t worry, we were just getting comfortable, right Izuku?”
Katsuki is still staring as his mother pulls him over so that he sits right in front of Deku of all people. Is this a joke? This feels very much like a joke, only his mother is dressed formally, now that he pays attention. And so is Deku’s mother. When she catches him watching, she gives him a bright smile, very reminiscent of her son’s. Deku himself is clad in a kimono similar to Katsuki’s, only a dark shade of grey, where Katsuki’s is black.
“Anyway, I don’t think there is much introductions to be made between us, so how about you two go and walk through the gardens, while we both talk about further arrangements for this omiai.”
An Omiai. Of course, that is what this is. It just had to be something completely ridiculous. But Katsuki gave his word that he would stay until the end, so he makes to stand, whispers to his mother, “I’ll make you pay for this,” and goes towards the door.
Damn Deku hasn’t said a word yet and Katsuki is starting to get really trigger-happy. But he grits his teeth until they are out and have closed the door. The moment they are outside, Deku takes him by the arm and drags him away from the glass doors.
Katsuki pulls away only for Deku to turn on him with a frantic look. “You have do something, Kacchan!”
“Hah?” Katsuki backs a step away as Deku crowds him in. “What the fuck is wrong with you, Deku?”
“It’s all she’s been talking about all week! Every single day since last Tuesday and I can’t say anything because she gets so happy!” Deku says and then backs away to catch his breath. “She’s on the phone, constantly. And all she ever talks about is how happy she is about this omiai and how she got a feeling that this is it. I haven’t seen her this happy since I graduated U.A. It’s crazy but I can’t bring myself to say anything that would ruin her mood. With all of my missions lately, I have been getting hurt frequently and even though I don’t come home with brok-“
“Shut the fuck up,” Katsuki shouts and presses Deku against the glass door of the room next to their own. “You keep blabbering. How the fuck am I supposed to make sense of that?”
“I can’t take this away from her, not when it makes her this happy.” Deku exclaims, holding on to the hand that’s pining him to the door with both of his own. “You have to do it, Kacchan.”
Suddenly uncomfortable, Katsuki shakes Deku’s hands off and backs away from him. He’s almost shaking with frantic energy and it’s rubbing Katsuki the wrong way. “I don’t have to do shit.”
“But I can’t say no. And you don’t want to marry me either, so just say no and we can put this behind us.” Deku pats his kimono down, makes sure it doesn’t look like they got into a fight and looks at Katsuki desperately. Katsuki takes another step back, feeling his anger grow. “Like that, it won’t be me disappointing her, again.”
“Why the fuck should I take the fall for you?” Katsuki turns away from him and walks back where they came from. He’s suddenly desperate to get away from Deku. The last time he saw the idiot this desperate was when he was in his first year and Deku tried to do stupid shit to save him.
“But you don’t want to get married either, don’t you? We can break this off, nicely. I just don’t want to say no to mom right now.” Deku scrambles after him, trying to hold pace as he continues to mutter. “You say no, the omiai is called off and mom won’t be displeased or disappointed with me.”
“Though luck, shitty nerd,” Katsuki says just as he plasters a fake grin on his face and turns to Deku. “Like hell I’m taking the fall for you. Own your shit.” Then he slides the glass door open and turns to Deku’s mother. “It was a pleasure meeting you today. But I got a call from work and have to leave early. I do hope for a next time.”
With those parting words to Deku’s mother, Katsuki goes for the door and leaves a shocked Deku behind. He hears his mother’s quick goodbyes as she hurries to catch up to him.
“What was that, Katsuki?”
“Why don’t you ask yourself, old hag?”
“What are you playing at?”
“Me?” He turns to her, grin on his face. “Why, I’m just going along with your wishes. And look, I agreed to a second meeting, didn’t I? What more do you want?”
Then he turns back to the exit and exhales sharply as he catches sight of his father by his car. “Jump in,” he says and as soon as the doors close, he hits on the pedals, not bothering to wait for his mother.
Next to him, his father laughs. “That bad?” he asks as he watches his angry wife get left behind. “Want to go for a drink?”
“Fuck yes,” Katsuki agrees. He tries hard not to think about his overbearing mother, Deku’s frantic demands and his own crazy, fucking, stupid decisions. “Like I’m going to dance to your tune, asshole.”
“Hmm?”
“It’s damn Deku,” Katsuki explains and hears his father chuckle again.
“It’s always that boy who gets you this worked up. What did he do now?”
“Asked me to dump him.”
“Let me guess: It rubbed you the wrong way, so you did the exact opposite,” his father says, smile evident in his voice.
So, Katsuki laughs and says, “Exactly. The fuck am I taking the fall for him. If he wants this to end, he gotta do it himself.”
“But you are playing right into your mother’s palm, aren’t you?” his father muses.
It makes Katsuki grin gleefully. “She’s too busy making sense of my sudden agreement. It will keep her off my back, until she figures out why I agreed.”
He can see his father shake his head with a rueful smile. “Until when do you plan to keep this up?”
“Until Deku admits defeat and backs out,” Katsuki says, obviously.
The laugh isn’t surprising at all, and Katsuki smiles with the knowledge of having distressed two of his biggest problem. He’s going to enjoy this for as long as it lasts.

because you reblogged the post about mr. Barlog smale horse sleeping on his bed. would slepnir do it too in atreus bed? Like the fam is staying over at the farm and slepnir comes in and adds himself to the dogs. atrus luckely being slowly squished out. basicaly the next morning waking up and seeing all his pets on his bed still sleeping and piled atop of each other. (he maybe should consider to not adopt more)
Alright, I decided I’m gonna two for one on this, because world building~But First: MDD SleipnirEven as a pony, Sleipnir’s just too damn big to fit into Grandma’s house when Atreus and Aloy and Calliope spend—hm, maybe about a week on the rez. Because sometimes you just need to go home, but Io:nhiòte also wants her friends along because it’s been A While since she’s seen Calliope and she only has so long before she goes back home to France. So’s, how I’m thinking this goes down, since Sleipnir has fulfilled the shunka (dog) part of shunka wakan (horse; there’s no English equivalent for wakan but one of the closest things would be Sacred, or holy. So Sacred Dog, if you want a literal translation)–Sleipnir is the house horse. He hangs around outside with any of the dogs or tame rez dogs that wander through. He peeks in the window of whatever room Atreus in is. Bedroom. Living room. Hangs around the porch.“Alright, kid.”“What?”“Borrowed a saddle from my cousin that’ll fit you. Probably make it easier for you on the ride. Now, so your father doesn’t kill and/or sue me if you get sick or something down here—you don’t have to do the whole ride. Unci’s got a trailer for Sleipnir if you get tired. And he’s a pretty chill pony, but this is his first ride and I don’t know how he’ll react to being around the other horses.”“And what does that mean?”“He could get excited and want to run with the horses at the front. Happened to me on my first ride when I was little. But we’re going to try to keep our little group towards the back near the roads just in case any of you get tired.”“Okay.”“But we’ll see how he does when it’s just us. Calliope. You’ll be taking Unci’s horse. She’s older, so she’s calmer.”“Come, winyan, I’ll show you while they’re busy.”Growing up with Rost, I’m sure Aloy knows how to ride. Positive he would show her.“Okay, since I don’t know your land even half as well as you do, you’re the one who’s going ahead, right?”“Yeah. Atreus, Aloy’ll help you keep him calm, alright?”“Yeah, okay.”“Nervous?”“A little, but I trust you.”And maybe Sleipnir’s skittish at first. He’s worn a saddle before, but he’s never had a rider out in the field. At first he does try to run with Io:nhiòte’s horse when she goes past, but they get it to the point where he keeps pace with Aloy’s.“It’ll be better when there’s more than just me helping you out.”“Okay.”And it is when they finally go out as a group during the ride. Atreus makes it through the whole day and ride to the next stop. They’ve all decided to camp out there. But kid can’t sleep and wanders just a bit away from their little group to see Sleipnir in the little corral that’s set up.Horse wanders over and just kinda stands by him.Io:nhiòte doesn’t see him around camp and finds him by the corral and good lord her heart–Kratos gets texted a picture of Atreus asleep against Sleipnir through the bars of the corral, who’s lying down himself. And when Atreus calls him the next day–“You’re not bringing the horse home.”“Dad–”“An entire field is better than a stable here in the city.”“But dad–”“You already have three animals here. And I’m sure Io:nhiòte and her grandmother wouldn’t mind you going back to see it.”

Secondly: Trickster Atreus, even further in the timeline than Future Mythos and Modern Mythos, because I love Trickster Fam just as much as Awkward FamDefinitely when he’s past Adult and Mature (physical wise, I guess, since he’s a full blown trickster here)Atreus at this point has been A Dad for awhile and Sleipnir—wouldn’t be so much a newborn? Like, I’m not sure what to call him but he is still a Small Pony. Maybe only knee high to Atreus and Sleipnir is just Dad is TallBut he’s also really young, like still a baby compared to the rest of his siblings. So of course, little eight-legged pony just cuddling with his trickster dad. Usually falls asleep like that. And Atreus waking up, just expecting his youngest baby—but they’re all there.Jörmungandr’s draped across his neck and Hela’s head in buried into his back and Fenrir is sprawled across his legs and his face tucked beside Sleipnir. As always, the pony’s curled in arms against his chest.“I didn’t hear any of you come in.”“We know you best, and we know how to sneak around you.”“Yeah, I guess. Wait, how did you get inside? Brok and Sindri made that lock.”“Fenrir broke it.”“… You know what, yeah. I guess you would.”

Summary: Well, since it’s the last chapter, I’ll leave it for you to find out :)
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Reader
Characters: Bucky Barnes, Reader, Natasha Romanoff, Steve Rogers, Clint Barton (mentioned)
Warnings: violence, gore, angst, mentions of death, kissing
Word Count: 3612
A/N: Well, here it is! I’ve actually had most of this typed up since the beginning of this story- what better way to end such a cliche story with a totally cliche ending? There may be one last epilogue-type chapter after this just to tie it all off, but that’s just if there’s interest for something of the sort. Anywhoozle, I can’t tell you all how much I appreciate all your support and love throughout this story! Thank you all so much, I appreciate each and every one of you lovelies!

Part 11 (Previous)
You, Nat and Clint had been called to the briefing room by Steve to be informed that a small HYDRA base had come up on the radar, but it seemed to be a relatively easy assignment. The whole team wasn’t necessary, but as the tactic was stealth mode demobilization and termination, you’d need just enough to get the job done without raising suspicion. So, you, Nat, Clint and Steve prepared your bags and boarded the quinjet the next morning. Bucky had been extremely frustrated when he’d found out he wouldn’t be going along, once again wanting to be there to look out for you and Steve, but you had reassured him that it was just a small mission and you’d be back by the next day.
And you were true to your word, although things hadn’t gone entirely to plan. Clint had been too close to an unexpected explosion after he had pushed you out of the way of a not-so-hidden sniper’s slug. He hadn’t been shot by the bullet, but he had suffered mild burns and temporary hearing damage from a grenade that had gone off shortly after, several meters away. If not for his keen sight and quick actions, however, you’d have been far worse off.
Unfortunately, you hadn’t been completely out of the woods. You yourself had later been clipped in the side as you were infiltrating a hangar with Nat while Steve took over Clint’s position keeping incoming agents outside and away from the two of you. In your opinion, the injury wasn’t even as bad as it could be- it hadn’t hit any vital organs or bone; a scratch, really, in your book. Granted, in your line of work, a scratch was never really just a scratch.
You and Nat were slinking down the musty corridor, stealthy as the shadows in which you hid. You split up at a T intersection, you heading left, and Nat, right. You had already taken out seven guards without raising any alarm, and were now about to enter the last room of the corridor- the control room. You checked that your gun was locked and loaded before knocking on the door. You hid behind the wall beside the doorway, and when the door was pulled open, you spun around, shooting the guard square between the eyes before holding him up in front of you. You shot two other workers over his shoulder, using his body to block the assailing bullets delivered from the last three standing agents in the room. With a grunt you threw the body to the side, barrel rolling out of the path of a few more shots before throwing a Taser disc at the farthest guard. You jumped up, wrapping your legs up and across the shoulders of the nearest guard to you, using your momentum to swing around and to the side, then stretching out your arm and shooting the third guard dead on your way down. You landed on the ground, twisting so the guard trapped by your legs was now being held in an arm bar. You aimed the barrel of your gun at his head, pulling the trigger.
“South corridor secure. Steve said to collect any intel we can find while we’re at it, but I came up empty. Status, (Y/N).” Natasha’s breathless voice sounded in your ear, and you placed your hand up to your ear comm.
“One sec-“ You felt the bullet tear through your side before the bang of the gun broke through the air. You gasped and lurched forward, one hand flying to your side and the other swinging around to point at the last guard, who had evidently managed to rip off the Taser disc. Without a second’s hesitation you ended it, barely flinching as his head whipped back with the momentum of the bullet. “Fuck,” you whispered, gritting your teeth as your knees grew weak. You stumbled over to the computer at the control desk, shaky hands fumbling in your pocket for the hard drive in your utility belt. You struggled to fit it into the port, finally correcting yourself and synching it to the database. You held your breath to keep steady, fingers flying as accurately as they could over the keyboard, then you began downloading the entire database onto the drive. You slumped to the floor, leaning against the desk. “Control room secure. Intel downloading right now,” you shakily panted into your comm.
“Great, let’s get the hell out of dodge,” Nat answered. You hissed as a shot of fire ripped up your side.
“I might need some help with that. I’m down.”
“I’m on my way. Sit tight, (Y/N).” Natasha replied immediately. You leaned your head against the desk, waiting for… something. The fall of Nat’s boots on the tile floor. The beep of a completed download to the hard drive. Maybe nothing at all. You looked down at your wound. You shouldn’t have turned your back on that bastard. Literally the first rule they taught you when you were trained, and you completely overlooked it. Guess this is what you get. It wasn’t even that bad, you supposed. It’s just a flesh wound.
The hard drive beeped, signaling 100% download. You reached up with a grunt, tugging out the drive roughly. The sloppy movement sent another burning fire tearing through your abdomen, leaving you gasping.
“(Y/N)!” Nat halted at the door, taking in the scene.
“What are you waiting for? Let’s get out of here!” Nat shook herself out of her stupor, hurrying to your side and slinging your arm over her shoulder, helping you stand up. You bit back another grunt of pain, gritting your teeth to dust. “Steve, you okay?” You and Nat began your journey to the exit of the bunker.
“Outside secure, on the jet ready to go.” Steve seemed to answer you with a breath of relief. “Nat, update on (Y/N)’s wound. Medic’s waiting for your arrival.”
“Gunshot wound to the abdomen. She’s still lucid, but I’m not sure for how long. She was bleeding pretty badly when I got there,” the red-headed spy reported. “We’re almost there.” By now your vision was starting to grow dark around the edges, like an old photograph burning away at the corners. Your feet dragged no matter how hard you tried to keep going, and you were slumping more and more into Nat’s side, but she carried you on. “Come on, stay with me, (Y/N). Barnes’d kill me if I didn’t come back with you in one piece.”
An absent-minded smile tugged at your split and bloodied lips. “You may be overestimating how much he actually likes me,” you mumbled. Nat let out a dry laugh. You could see the jet now, just a few dozen feet away. A blurry blue and red figure was running towards you. You smiled again.
“You kidding? You’re his whole world. Just run with it.” Her words were soft and broken, and though you were still fighting with every last drop of effort in your heart, your eyelids grew heavier, feet like lead and ears stuffed with cotton. You tripped over a heavy log- or was that a body?- and the last thing you saw was Bucky’s steel grey eyes smiling at you through the rest of your pitch black world.
You woke up again on the jet, lying beside a patched up Clint, arms full of IV tubes and a breathing mask over your nose and mouth. Steve and Nat never left your side, and when the jet finally landed back at the headquarters, Steve took your hand tightly. As the ramp lowered, you noted a dark haired figure waiting at the entrance of the hangar, hand raised in a wave, but they paused when they saw what lay within the jet. Suddenly the figure broke into a sprint towards you, and as they approached, you soon recognized your favourite fake-boyfriend.
“Oh, my God, (Y/N), what happened?” Bucky frantically questioned as the medics carried you and Clint off of the helicarrier on gurneys. You simply waved him off.
“M'fine, Buck. Barely felt it. ‘Tis but a scratch…” You gave a lopsided smile which quickly contorted into a restrained grimace of discomfort as the gurney jostled, sending flares of sharp pain shooting through the nerves of the torn muscle in your side.
“Yeah, that’s bogus, (Y/N), look at yourself-“
“I’m fine,” you insisted. You tried to remember if it had been a through and through or if the bullet was still lodged in your muscle; the adrenaline of the mission and the shock had severely overridden the pain of being shot, but as the high was wearing down, you were becoming more and more aware of the sensation of something foreign rubbing against sensitive nerves, sending fire through your veins. You looked down to see a crimson flower blooming larger and larger as the seconds passed like hours under the paramedic’s hand, spreading like spilled water through the clean white cloth of the gauze pressed against your wound. Bucky’s eyes followed your fascinated gaze.
“You’re still bleeding, (Y/N)- Has anyone checked if it’s through and through?” He grabbed one of the medic’s shoulders. “Are you even paying attention? She won’t stop bleeding until the bullet’s out, you have to get the bullet out-” Taut, burly arms wrapped themselves around Bucky’s broad shoulders, restraining him in his panicked state. Steve pulled his friend away as you were rushed through the doors into the facility, and through the rush of blood roaring in his ears, Bucky could hear the urgent voice of Helen Cho demanding your vitals from the medics.
“Buck, cool down, she’ll be fine. It’s (Y/N), she’s tough. They’ll take care of her, just take a breath, pal. She’s gonna be okay.” Steve’s firm voice broke through the chestnut-haired soldier’s panic, though he wasn’t sure if he was trying to convince his best friend or himself. Steve’s words did nothing to comfort Bucky before another wave of fear submerged him in distress.
However, Steve ended up right, like the stubborn soldier usually was. The surgery- albeit long- had gone well and with the technology of Dr. Cho’s cradle, you- and Clint- were good as new within a few days. Bucky had hardly left your side as you were being healed in the lab, the same expression of worry and regret furrowing his brow and clouding his usually clear blue eyes. When you’d woken up for the first time after surgery to find yourself in the cradle with the brunette soldier slouched in his seat at your side, you frowned in concern. His head was resting heavily in his metal hand as the other grasped your own tightly, and you could practically hear the thoughts of self-blame flying around in his mind. You squeezed his hand gently, and his head snapped up, steely eyes raw and unveiled. They were wide and vulnerable and terrified and frozen, watching you as if you were a mirage that would disappear should he move even the slightest.
You smiled softly, blinking slowly as the edges of your vision sharpened. Your throat felt tight and dry, like it was stuffed full of cotton, so you gestured to the water pitcher sitting on the bedside table. Bucky took a moment to react, as if his mind was processing everything at a delayed function, but once it registered that you were in fact real and this was not another of many dreams he’d had while awaiting your return to consciousness, he snapped into action. He poured some water into a cup for you and held it out for you to take, which you did gratefully. Once you were feeling more refreshed, you ran a hand down your face and tried to push yourself up into a more inclined position, but when you pulled your hands back, a sharp and hot pain flared through your muscles. Bucky stood immediately, gently helping you sit up.
You watched as Bucky sat back down, waiting for him so say something, anything. You were still feeling a little distant from reality, and you needed his voice to bring you back home. He kept his gaze centered on his intertwined hands in his lap, thumbs rubbing his knuckles thoughtfully. “I almost died when they rolled you off of that jet,” he whispered, voice rough and broken from hours of disuse. Your throat tightened. “I couldn’t breathe, I…” Bucky took a challenging breath. His eyes flashed up to yours, though hesitant to see your reaction as he continued. “I’ve never been that scared in my entire life, (Y/N). Not when I was just a kid in the army, fighting a war I never truly understood at first, not when I was captured, not in the 70 years that I was forced to give all of my control to HYDRA, not ever. It’s something I still feel, in my chest, in my fingers, my toes, my heart.” Bucky clenched his fists, bringing one up to his chest. He paused, squeezing his eyes shut tight.
“When I said that I would go with you to your sister’s wedding, as your date,” he started with a steadier voice this time, “I was telling you the truth when I said it was because I wanted to spend more time with you. But that’s not all.” He took a deep breath, exhaling it as if preparing himself for what he would say next. You’d be lying if you said you hadn’t been doing the same. “I, I wanted to see what it was like to be yours, truly. To be the one you brought home to meet your parents and showed off to your friends. I wanted to pretend like I was the one you couldn’t get outta your head, the person you wanted to fall asleep to every night and wake up to every morning. I just had to see what it was like. To be loved, by you. To be loved in the way I’ve wanted to be loved by you since the day I met you. I saw my chance, and I took it, but I think I got in over my head.” Bucky laughed sardonically. “I thought it would help me get over you, get you outta me head, ‘cause I knew I shouldn’t a been thinking of you the way I was, not when you were my best friend, not when I knew there was no way in hell you could ever feel the same. I thought that by seeing what it was like, I could get it out of my system. God, I was so wrong.” He slumped forward, head falling into his hands as he scoffed desperately. “You have no idea how hard it is to get over you, doll. You don’t even realize how hard it is to stop lookin’ at you when you smile the way you do, laugh the way you do. I kept telling myself, ‘Bucky, you don’t deserve a gal like her,’ but I couldn’t stop no matter how hard I tried.” Your heart was racing by now, cheeks burning with the disbelief at what you were hearing. You couldn’t believe he was saying this. Bucky, the Bucky who had consumed your thoughts for months, hell, years, was talking to you like he’d printed off your own thoughts and was reading them off a paper as his own. “And when they rolled you off of that jet, looking like you were knocking on death’s door-“ God, he was always so dramatic, you thought fondly- “, my heart almost stopped beating. Because it beats with yours, till the end of the line, doll.” Your chest swelled with elation, and your lungs could hardly hold onto a breath. Your heart was pounding away, palpitating so fast there was barely any pause between one beat and the next. You still couldn’t fully comprehend what was happening; you had imagined so many times hearing a variation of what Bucky had just confessed, that now you were finally hearing it, it couldn’t be true. It just couldn’t. This was just so far from reality; you had to be daydreaming again. In what world could the man with whom you’d been so desperately in love for so long, actually feel the same way? It just couldn’t be true.
Bucky’s eyes earnestly searched your own, but after what felt like hours to you but couldn’t be more than a minute in reality, his expression fell in disappointment, but lacking surprise. “It’s alright, I know it’s overwhelming and unexpected, and I know I probably just ruined everything. I’m sorry, I shouldn’t ‘a said anything. It’s okay, you don’t have to say anything, I promise I won’t make things weird. I still want to be your friend, please, we can just forget about this.” Bucky gave you a tired smile, eyes unable to hide their heartache. You fought against your baffled mind to find the words you were trying to string together into a sentence, but when Bucky squeezed your hand and moved to stand up, you realized you were running out of time.
(don’t screw this up, (y/n))
“Bucky, wait!” You blurted out, eyes wide in urgency. He turned his head to look at you, a flash of hope briefly sparking behind those icy blue-grey irises. Your gaze flashed from one eyes to the other as you scrambled for what to do, then it flicked down to catch his tongue licking his lips in nervous habit. You met his eyes once more before leaning forward despite the tearing pain in your abdomen, grabbing the collar of his wrinkled shirt and pulling him in to a crushing kiss. It wasn’t a perfect meeting of lips, rather a desperate collision. You caught the corner of his mouth, a little off-target but it didn’t seem to matter. Bucky froze for the first few moments before his mouth caught up to his mind, and he began moving his lips along to yours in a much more ideal harmony. Your fingers wound into the soft hairs as the base of his neck, the other hand still tightly fisted in the cotton of his light grey sweatshirt. His flesh hand cupped your jaw with delicate care, the metal appendage winding around your waist to hold your lower back.
You kissed him with fervor, trying to expel every thought and feeling you’d ever had for him from your heart to his. You had never felt so selfish and greedy, physically incapable of pulling away. You had been waiting so long for this, and the fact that it was something you’d never fathomed would become a reality, made it so much sweeter. This time, there was no audience, no family to play house in front of. This moment being shared between the two of you right here, right now, was just for the two of you. It wasn’t an act, it wasn’t a ploy, it wasn’t a stunt. You weren’t trying to prove anything to anyone, and you never wanted to end it.
It was in this moment of pure bliss, as all your previous fears, stresses and anxieties melted away, that you finally understood what Nat had said all those weeks ago in the kitchen. That true happiness, no matter how long it lasted- that single, perfect moment of happily ever after- was worth all the pain you may have to suffer before and after you got it.
When the need for air finally tore the two of you apart, chests heaving and lips swollen, pupils blown and cheeks radiating heat, you finally decided to speak. “You took the words right out of my mouth, Barnes.” Bucky’s mouth fell slightly open, still surprised despite the evident moment of passion you’d just shared.
“Really?” He asked, eyes still shining with a faint gleam of hesitation. You nodded.
“I can’t tell you how long you’ve had my heart, but all I know is, I’m all in. If you’ll have me.” Bucky’s lips tugged back in a boyish grin, elation glowing in his eyes.
“Are you kidding, doll? I’m yours ‘till the Sun stops burning.” He let out a laugh. “Darlin’,” he said then, eyes serious. You bit your cheek, fairly certain of what was next to come. “I’ll be the best boyfriend you’ve never had.” You rolled your eyes, but couldn’t bite back the giddy beaming smile stretched across your face. You pulled him into a warm embrace, gripping him tightly.
Natasha had been right about pursuing these moments of happily ever after, but that term seemed to be almost contradictory to her point. True happiness did not exist in the future, nor the past. You could not be truly, entirely and irrevocably happy in the present if you were always keeping in mind the future. You knew this, what you had with Bucky, was forever, but you also knew with the line of work you and Bucky were in, nothing was certain of the future. The events of today’s mission proved that anything was possible, and that every time one of you walked out the door, you risked the chance of not coming back. It was with this reality in mind that you decided with finality that you would enjoy your life with Bucky, these moments of bliss, by living in the now, not the what’s next.
And so, as Bucky finally crawled in to your hospital bed with you, pulling you tenderly in to his side, you kissed him lovingly, taking note of his rough jaw and soft eyelashes dancing against your cheeks, the rise and fall of his broad chest and the steady beat of his heart, perfectly content as the two of you enjoyed your happily ever now.

A/N: Once again, I want to thank every single one of you out there for your support and love throughout this story. Despite my inconsistent updates, you stuck by, and it’s been absolutely wonderful. I honestly cannot believe the reception this story got right from the get-go; this blog was still fairly new when I first started BBYNH and with every chapter update, my followers have gone up by the hundreds. I was absolutely floored, to say the least. I am so grateful to know that my writing has affected and touched so many, and it has certainly encouraged me to continue.
I am going to start posting some one shots just to keep the ole furnace burnin’, but I absolutely welcome requests (however, no smut, please) since my creativity tends to come in short bursts far and few between.
Tags- if you would like to continue to be tagged in my future fics, please let me know. Otherwise, I will stop tagging the majority of the blogs below since they requested to be tagged in BBYNH and did not specify any more. If you do wish to be tagged in future works, please specify if you wish to be a part of my Permanent tag list, my Bucky x Reader tag list, or my Steve x Reader tag list. I have no link to anywhere that you can sign up on your own, so just message me. Thank you so much for your interest and for asking to be tagged, it is truly encouraging to know how many of you wanted to tag along (pun intended) every step of the journey!
As usual, strikethrough means the blog couldn’t be tagged.

God of War: The Journey - Inside the Mountain
Inside the Mountain is the fifth story mission in God of War, and it’s filled with lots of little puzzles and riddles that gamers will need to solve. It also introduces new gameplay mechanics that will change how Kratos and Atreus handle certain situations going forward.
Ascend the Mountain
Head up the mountain until the path is blocked, then jump to the rock face and start climbing. Reach the top and deal with the black breath, moving forward until things get brighter. Pry open the door in front of Kratos and Atreus, then walk toward the statue with antlers. There’s not much to do here just yet, so walk into the room on the left.
Fight through the enemies that attack, and take note of the blocked door further ahead. This cannot be dealt with yet, so turn back, keeping a close eye on the ceiling. There is a Light Crystal up there that must be knocked down, picked up, and placed in the free slot in the other room. Have Atreus shoot each of the Light Crystals with Light Arrows, then move the lever back to solve the puzzle.
Traverse the Dark Caves
Move forward through the caves, taking the stairs on the right when they appear. Having Atreus shoot the Light Crystals helps brighten things up. Loot the casket at the top of the stairs and then head back down. There is a large pillar blocking the main path that must be moved, followed by a Revenant and some Nightmares that must be dealt with further ahead.
Hop up on the small ledge to deal with several more enemies, then look around for some boards that can be smashed with the Leviathan axe. There is a Light Crystal behind it, and Atreus can form a bridge if he shoots it with Light Arrows. This bridge will lead to a Nornir chest that can be opened. The three seals are found just past the spot where the Revenant spawned, up on the ledge and near the bridge leading to the Nornir chest, and tucked behind a rock across the bridge and south of the Nornir chest. The solution to the puzzle is written on the wall behind it.
Just past where the Revenant appeared is a fork in the path to the right. There is a Light Crystal just beyond this path. If Atreus shoots it with a Light Arrow it will form a bridge and lead to another casket with some loot.
Next to the bridge that Atreus created to lead to the Nornir chest is a Light Crystal. This can be carried across the stone bridge to the south of the Nornir chest and placed in the slot to reveal some additional lore.
When everything has been investigated and dealt with, head for a room to the north that requires Kratos and Atreus to crouch-walk to progress. This will lead to the area behind the statue with the deer antlers. Loot it and read the lore, then open the giant double doors to move forward.
Through the doors will be some enemies that need to be dealt with, and further up the path will be a section of wall made of wood. On the other side is a casket, and there is a crawl space close by that leads to it. Loot the casket and return to the main path, then climb the wall and hop over to the next section. Be sure to lower the nearby chain to make ascension easier in the future.
There is a second chain a very short distance up the path and lowering it will allow Kratos to loot a chest with some Hacksilver in it. Do so, then move further up and turn the wheel to open the door to the next area.
Ascend the Cave Shaft
This is an overwhelming area when Kratos and Atreus first arrive, but it’s manageable. The goal is to move the large claw in the middle, but in its current state that is impossible. Before getting to that, look between the wheel and the Hidden Chamber in this area for a narrow passage. Squeeze through and loot the chest in there for some Solid Svartalfheim Steel. That’s all there is to do there, so head back out to the main room and interact with the wheel.
Free the Chain
Several enemies will spawn that need to be dealt with, but they will open a path to solve the problem of the chain that’s stuck. First, smash a wooden barricade to the left of the tunnel they emerged from to loot a chest for some Hacksilver. Head down the tunnel to find Brok, ready to buy and sell goods, or perform upgrades for Kratos.
Take note of a crawl space near Brok that leads to a chest and a casket. Loot both before hopping back onto the main path, which is blocked by huge spikes of death. Throw the Leviathan axe at the mechanism to the right of the spikes, then run through before they close. Another door will be just ahead of that. Throwing the axe (twice) at the top-right of the door will push it open so Kratos can pass through.
This new room has more enemies, so it’s best to deal with those before working on any puzzle-solving to progress the story. Loot the ground when they’re gone, then approach the giant cart in the room. There is a mechanism that must be destroyed first, then move it along the rails a short distance. Climb on top of the cart and use it to reach the second level of this room.
Break the two mechanisms above the wooden bridge on the second level, dropping it so Kratos can cross to the other side. Cross the bridge but look for a spot to drop down where a casket can be looted. Lift the nearby door to get out of there. Kratos will now be back on the ground level. Hop back up on the cart, climb to the second level, then cross the bridge again. This time, deal with the enemies standing at the far end. Kick the chain down, then destroy the mechanism above a second bridge to lower that one as well. Deal with the few enemies on the other side of this bridge, then climb up a couple of times to find a casket that can be looted. Kratos should now be back to where he originally climbed up on the cart.
Smash through the nearby wooden barricade and go through the tunnel. Lift the large pillar out of the way, then drop the nearby chain down for future access. There is another chain here that’s used to open the door that will allow Kratos to move the cart through to the original room. Lift the chain, then lift the nearby door in this area. Hope down, then push the cart through until it’s lined up with the platform where Kratos pulled the chain to lift the door.
Hop back up onto the cart and use it to jump the gap to the platform across from the one where the chain was pulled to lift the big door. On this platform is a chest, as well as a large boulder at the far end. Interact with the large boulder.
Find a Way to Ascend
Hop down to the ground level and prepare to fight Jarn Fotr, a troll. He’s not unlike any of the other trolls Kratos has faced at this point. He carries a big stick that he likes to swing and smash to the ground, and he will stomp when someone is under his feet. If he has one attack that is different, it’s that he can also stomp his feet and send a wave of ice shooting through the ground. Evade if he does this.
My preferred method of dealing damage to Jarn Fotr was to bait him into a ground smash with his wood plank, rolling behind him as he did. I’d then unleash combinations to deal damage, and then scoot out of the way as he recovered. Throwing the Leviathan axe from a distance will also work, although it’s a slow way to win this fight.
Pick up the loot that the troll drops, then move over to the wheel and turn it. When the wheel can’t be turned any further, throw the Leviathan axe into the gears to hold it in place. Now go retrieve the cart and push it along the tracks and into the claw. Hop on the cart, recall the axe, and then enjoy the ride.
Reach the Summit
Move forward towards the flame shooting across the path. Time it so it’s just ending as Kratos passes through safely. The second set is tougher. As soon as the furthest flame from Kratos activates, jump over the gap to pass the second test. The third is the worst, but still manageable. The center console will spin counterclockwise and shoot flames. Move counter clockwise, using the environment to stay out of the fire. Head for the wheel on the far side, killing any enemies that spawn in along the way. Spin the wheel to lower the center console and suppress the flames. Don’t forget to loot the casket.
Further along will be two large boulders, one to the left and one to the right. Push both off the edge to start the lift moving.
There will be interruptions to this ride. The first will be lower-level enemies that can be easily booted off the edge of the lift in bare-handed combat. Just sprint at them and press R2, then get the ride moving again, although another interruption isn’t far off, this time in the form of an ogre. It’s a tougher fight, but it’s not Kratos’ first ogre and should be straightforward to handle. Dodge and parry, then smash this fool with various attacks.
The third and final interruption of this ride is a bad one. A dragon named Hraezlyr will attack, and this fight can be very tough. Start by dodging its attacks with its arms. After a successful dodge, approach its hands and deal damage. After a small amount of damage, the fight will become scripted, and all Kratos must do is hit the indicated buttons in a timely fashion.
A short distance up the path the game will introduce Shatter Crystals and explain how they can be used to clear World Tree Sap obstacles. Grab a Shatter Crystal, then throw it at the obstacle blocking the path. The Shatter Crystal will explode and clear the obstacle. This is a game mechanic that must be mastered for an upcoming fight, so take a minute to get it sorted, then move along the path until triggering a cut scene.
Defeat Hraezlyr
Break left as instructed and run along the path. Jump onto the dragon and wait for further instructions. When Kratos finds himself in the dragon’s mouth, use R2 and R1 to alternate between attacks. This will lead to the fight opening up, which is where the Shatter Crystals come into play.
Avoid Hraezlyr’s attacks by dodging out of the way. Notice that this dragon is sometimes electrified, and that’s what Shatter Crystals require to explode. Look around the perimeter of the fighting zone for Shatter Crystals, then throw them at the dragon to cause damage. A successful hit will stun the dragon and knock it down, exposing a wound that Kratos can attack with melee combat. Smash Hraezlyr until it wakes and returns to its active state.
Hraezlyr will reposition and begin attacking Kratos by slamming its claws down in the fighting area. Evade these, then use melee strikes to its limbs. Kratos must also be careful of a slam from Hraezlyr, as it sends a shockwave through the ground that will knock him off balance. This can be blocked with the shield, though, so it’s not much of a threat unless it directly strikes Kratos. Take note, however, that Hraezlyr is not electrified, and therefore the second stage of the fight should not involve throwing Shatter Crystals.
These two stages will alternate a few times. When electrified, throw Shatter Crystals at Hraezlyr. This will knock the dragon down and allow a damage phase. When the dragon is not electrified, avoid the swipes from its claws, then strike out at the limbs. Just be sure to keep an eye out for the dragon’s attacks and avoid them as necessary.
After about two thirds of Hraezlyr’s health is gone, a short cinematic will hint as to how to end this fight. Kratos must get close to the beast, avoiding its attacks and dealing damage to its claws. This will provoke its electric attacks, which will once again allow Kratos to strike with Shatter Crystal throws. When the dragon is stunned, approach the open wound and unleash attacks, then press Square when prompted on the screen.
Reach the Summit
The game will now explain Shock Arrows, which can be used to destroy Shatter Crystals and clear World Tree Sap obstacles. Atreus can swap between Light Arrows and Shock Arrows by pressing up on the d-pad. Instructing him to shoot is the same (Square). Luckily, there is a World Tree Sap obstacle with a Shatter Crystal nearby to test this on.
Head into the cave and continue along, keeping an eye out for a path on the right. Have Atreus shoot a Shock Arrow at the Shatter Crystal, clearing the World Tree Sap obstacle from it and allowing Kratos to loot the chest. Head back to the main path and climb the wall.
Clear out any enemies at the top, then have Atreus shoot the Shatter Crystal. Use the wheel to raise the basket with the Shatter Crystal in it, then have him shoot it again. Kill any enemies that spawn, then climb up the wall to the left of the basket with the Shatter Crystal in it.
Kill the enemies ahead, then explore the open wall to the right before climbing up on the short ledge. With the main door blocked for now, follow the hallway as it loops around, ducking into the room on the right to investigate the Jotnar shrine. When ready, enter the main room and take out the three enemies in there, one of which is a step up from the other two, but still manageable.
When the room is clear, grab the Shatter Crystal from nearby and throw it against the World Tree Sap obstacle stuck to the bridge, then have Atreus shoot it with a Shock Arrow. There are two obstacles, so repeat this process twice to fully lower the bridge. This is the path forward, although there is a Nornir chest that needs to be dealt with first.
The three seals for the Nornir chest are hidden around the bridge. While crossing the bridge, look right to find the first one tucked in the wall. The second is found by raising the bridge and locking the gears into place, then crossing to the upper level. It’s just on the right, while a casket is on the left. The final seal is in the same room as the Jotnar shrine (before Kratos ever reached the Nornir) chest. Smash all three and loot the chest to get an Idunn Apple.
Push forward until reaching a wall that Kratos must climb, then pry open the big double doors. Quite a few enemies will block the narrow path, but this is another perfect opportunity for bare-handed combat. Sprint at enemies and press R2 to kick them off the mountain and progress forward. Once at the base of the mountain, climb it and work around until finally reaching the summit. A cinematic will play that will end this chapter.
That does it for the Inside the Mountain chapter, which means it’s time for A New Destination. Of course, all our guides can be found at our God of War walkthrough and guide.
