Alinea fell in love with Lumen the minute he was presented to her by Fraegeim. Since that moment, they have been nigh on inseparable. Due to her love of animals, it took Alinea a long time before she let Lumen train and fight with her.
Even though he is now adept at tanking, fighting, and healing, Alinea will still only call upon Lumen to help if she is desperate, and she will mainly keep him in the back, healing her. Lumen has gone against her orders once or twice before and has indeed saved her, delivering the final blow quickly to their combined foe. While this drives Alinea to sigh and worry to no end, she is grateful to have her chocobo at her side.
