Thank you
Every time I read a story, half the time I’m thinking of 10 other quirks he could have chosen as cover up. The only reasons I will accept him not doing something better is if he is an absolute doofus, a big dumb dumb with anxiety who can’t this of something right on the spot (has to be on the spot, it’s way to unbelievable if he had a day or more to think about it) OR if he doesn’t want attention for his quirk being powerful at all, limiting it to one thing to make him seem like your weak average joe, with the added bonus of pulling a fast one if he’s forced to use more of his power.
Otherwise… just think of a better quirk dude, it’s not that difficult, the shit you can get away with in the mha world with the excuse of “lmao it’s my quirk” is amazing, and can lead to so many funny situations.
Like just imagine, OP quirk Danny being a normal civilian, and his friends (Middle school Izuku would be fun) use a different aspect of his power every time they see him but they aren’t really that close so it would be weird to ask so they spend week or however long thinking of what his quirk could be, but it can’t be anything that crazy because Danny’s just such a chill normal guy, surly if he had a super powerful quirk he would do something more important with it than (insert extremely normal boring job here) right?
BNHA x DP crossover
Why do I feel like in every BNHA/DP crossover fic that I’ve read no one seems to be inclined to give Danny a believable cover story for his powers, when a really easy one popped into my head the first time I ever thought of it.
Quirk: Archetypal Ghost
This Quirk gives the individual the potential to develop any ability that is/was correlated to Ghosts in mythology, folklore, and pop culture (with in the human collective conscious).
Why can Danny produce ice? Because ghosts cause cold spots everyone knows that. Why can Danny affect radio waves and cause tech to glitch out? Because ghosts can affect radio waves and cause tech to glitch out. Why can Danny be invisible, intangible, and fly? Because ghosts do those things.
And just on and on for every single one of his powers.
There’s not a single one of of his innumerable abilities that doesn’t fall under the category of “It happened at one point in mythology/folklore/pop culture and has since been adopted as a Ghost thing by the collective conscious”.
Even his more unique and obscure powers like Ghostly Wail, Dream Walking, and Entering forms of media, fall under this explanation. Because Banshees, the idea of spirits of the dead communicating via dream, and the movie The Ring, are all ideas that have existed for more than 200 years by the time BNHA starts, and are firmly entrenched in the collective conscious by the time the story starts.
So yeah, don’t know if writers are intentionally going with “Danny doesn’t know how to explain how all of his many superpowers are just one highly versatile super power (even though the boy is the most generic ghost to ever ghost when it comes to powers)” on purpose. Or if they just don’t want to come up with a proper Quirk name and description for Danny’s halfa status.

BNHA X DP Crossover HCs
After the long wait and finals, here are my ideas for all the quirks/occupations and other concepts I devised for the DP characters in the BNHA universe. This was just for fun and for inspiration towards others interested in this crossover au in general.
Tagging the people that were looking forward to this post based on the replies: @qoinq-qhost, @floralflowerpower, @tgfangirl4eva @goodfish-bowl, @whitehairglowinggreeneyedcrush and more.
Anyways, happy reading, folks!
Mr. Lancer
Hero name: Mr. Scholastic
Quirk: Bookworm
Involves his iconic usage of literature titles & quotes for swears to become abilities corresponding to the novel’s contents/themes. Course, he is limited to only books he has read and can quote accurately. Additionally, his voice gets very raspy past two or three quotes as well.
Occupation: Homeroom Teacher for Class 1- A; He’s very dedicated to his new students and teaching the fundamentals of being a pro hero and more! Course, I don’t think his chamomile tea with a wedge of lemon is enough to help him relax from his students (*cough* Danny, Tucker and Poindexter) from their antics at times.
Danny
Hero name: Phantom
Quirk: Ghost core (Ok, @coffeecakecafe had the best name for this one gotta give credit here)
Able to do anything a ghost is perceived to do. Go through walls, disappear and fly. This is a one of a kind quirk as it was obtained from Danny’s old quirk being altered by a machine his parents made that would repurpose/alter an individual’s quirk based on their past family members' own metahuman genetics.
Danny is doing his best and trying to understand his new quirk without causing too much attention to himself while doing so but it seems like its been doing the opposite as of late. Thankfully, he won’t be doing it alone with all his classmates around to help him!
Sam
Hero Name: Black Dahlia
Quirk: Overgrown
Able to create any plant that she knows the biological makeup and content of in almost any environment. However, it is important for her to drink lots of nutrient rich water and take in enough sun if she plans to create larger versions of these plants.
Tucker
Hero name: Tech Master
Quirk: Tech Core
Located on his chest/heart area is a special energy core capable of powering electronics at a rate faster than anything made-man could ever hope to achieve. As a kid, Tucker would tinker away in his family’s garage on a suit that would harness his power to the fullest extent and lead a new era of support tech in the hero world.
Valerie
Hero name: Red Huntress
Quirk: Electromagnetism (Someone I’ve been trying to find their post on my blog had posted this idea and I fell in love with it ever since)
She’s like Static Shock but with a dash of magenta/ruby lasers she can create through focusing her electromagnetism through her finger tips. She is an expert with her quirk and has the best handle of her quirk than most of her peers. She is the most frequent visitor in the support equipment workshop next to Tucker, Poindexter and Danny. It’s how she built the hoverboard she has in the show that utilizes her electromagnetic abilities for both offensive and defensive maneuvers. (Also, I enjoy the idea that Bullet is Val’s uncle on her mom’s side and is her biggest supporter alongside her dad, Damien Gray).
Jazz
Quirk: Serenity
Helps calm individuals and give them a sense of safety/security when they’re around her in a 10 feet radius. Though, anyone out of range cannot be affected by her quirk and she needs to be conscious in order to use it.
She planned on becoming a pro hero but felt her powers were best suited for her dream profession as a psychologist. She has used her quirk a lot when Danny was overwhelmed with his studies prior to UA. Course, a phone call and sibling chat over the phone certainly does the job for Danny now when it comes to preparing material for exams. (Course, its up to you guys to decide)
Dash
Hero name: Rager
Quirk: Strength Magnification
Improves his physique and stamina by a large percentage for a set amount of time. Needs to be careful of how much/long he magnifies his body or else his body will become immensely sore.
Kwan
Hero name: Rallier
Quirk: Team Rally (50/50)
Able to duplicate himself 3-4 times while being able to power-up allies’ quirks or stamina with a rally chant to help the team. The more duplicates there are the rally effect multiplies/stacks on the individual but it can lead to dangerous outcomes for their quirk output.
Kwan is the class representative for 1-A, he’s the best at the job and was more than thrilled to be the one leading his class in more ways than one.
Paulina
Hero name: Enchantress
Quirk: Charm
If the opponent is flustered by her taunts or flirting, their vision will become altered and start seeing things that are not there. It works better on men than women and the opponent can snap out of it with enough willpower or if they’re not interested in her.
Star
Hero name: Ms. Meteorite
Quirk: Comet
Similar to Gran Torino’s Jet quirk except faster and she can create an explosive impact on where she lands. Similar to a meteorite landing on earth, she also learns to use this as a long distance move by punching fast enough as she descends to create wind pressure punches.
Poindexter
Hero name: Tex (like in Tex Avery; Danny gave him the idea!)
Quirk: Slapstick
His appearance is black and white just like an old timey cartoon character as well as having the durability and cartoon powers of one. However, his quirk can only work as long as what he does with it is funny in the circumstance it’s used for. Sort of like “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” rules in a sense.
Sidney is part of Class 1-A just saying, I don’t care, this is Poindexter’s time to shine here to be the coolest/funniest person in the class. Also, Tucker’s most loyal friend/tester for new support items.
Wes Weston
Hero name: Vigilance
Quirk: Deduction
He is able to deduct people’s identities to flaws/weak points for him to use against them and  exploit against problems.
Class 1-B Representative and the most annoying/terrifying person that Danny has dealt with in his life. He was able to figure out that Danny’s quirk is not his own or more so that it's not natural and takes every opportunity to state this regardless if anyone is listening or not.
Amber Mclain
Hero Name: Ember
Quirk: Fiery voice (50/50)
Her quirk uses the vibrations in her sining voice to conduct intense heat waves onto opponents or utilize to rumble the structures around here and even put out the flames from her quirk. Its like a combination of Present Mic and Endevours quirk but it leaves her with a strained or inflamed vocal cords with overuse.
Third year student or an upcoming rock star that has certainly gain huge popularity after her song “Remember” was a nationwide hit amongst the younger generation. She’s striving to be the top hero while making her next hit to become the 1# song on the listings.
Dani
Hero name: Phantwo (lol jk; unsure what her name would be)
Quirk: Poltergeist
Similar to Danny’s quirk “Ghost”, except she has the additional ability to melt herself to a slimy puddle and use her ectoplasmic slime to trap or surprise opponents.
Clockwork
Hero Name: Clockwork
Quirk: Time Keeper
Clockwork’s quirk allows him to stop time for 5 to 15 minutes and be able to rewind it in the same amount of time. It can be one to multiple objects as long as he touches them in order to interact with them.
Principle of UA in this au. He’s quite a reserved man but still manages to visit and congregate with students throughout the school during lunch period.
Flynn Fenton/Flynn Walker
Hero Name: The Green Knight
Quirk: Mineralization
His quirk allows him to manipulate the minerals and inorganic materials in the atmosphere to create into crystalized constructs that are almost stronger than diamond. Luckily, the crystals have no value so he doesn’t have to worry about that aspect of his quirk. He does have to worry about his skin becoming dried out as a result of his quirk usage.
Flynn is a third year student that loves to check up on his cousin, Danny, any chance he gets bc of the amount of work he does with his internships.
James Walker (or James W. Hausermann)
Hero name: Warden Wraith
Quirk: Plasma Apparatus
His quirk ionizes the electrolytes in the blood system into plasma. His entire body is composed of plasma giving him his skeletal appearance. He can create plasma chains, teleport from point A to B and more as long as he focuses and has enough energy at use. Course, he can have minor to severe dehydration and imbalance in his electrolyte levels from overuse.
Occupation: CEO of an infrastructure security company/Provisional License Examiner just like Gang Orca. The ghost prison guards become his backup/helpers for the exam phases. (They’re just trained stuntmen with combat or military experience for the occasion).
Also, I like to think Walker has kids in this au who are in the Class 1-A group; they’re not hard to spot they take after their father with their skeletal complexion.
Skulker
Villain name: Quirk Hunter
Quirk: Tracker
The moment Skulker makes eye contact with his target he will be able to hunt them down and find them anywhere no matter how good they are at covering their tracks. He can lock on to only one target, but he will be able to know their heart beat, quirk, be able to place a tracking/scent line that only he can see and will lead him to his target’s location. It lasts for over a day or a half.
Occupation: Skulker is known for capturing, info-detailing or “retiring” newcomer pros or specific quirk users for his clients that pay him handsomely for their targets, dead or alive. Thanks to Vlad, Danny was strictly intended to be captured alive by Skulker but sometimes he gets too thrilled by the hunt to not have a memento. Trust me, it's more of a dangerous
Nicolai Technus
Villain Name: Technus
Quirk: Technopathy
A genius in his own right, even if he’s a little crazy, with the best ability possible for a man of science and innovation. As long as he knows the makeup and attributes of the machine, Technus is able to completely repurpose or change a machine’s qualities for offensive and defensive qualities. Whenever that be for a mech suit or hacking a high tech system for entry, he’s able to do it as long as he knows what it is and how it functions. An example is repurposing a slot machine into a submachine gun that shoots coins at the target.
Vlad Masters
Name: Vlad Plasmius
Quirk: Vampire
Can do anything a vampire can supposedly do. However, he was able to manifest an additional aspect of this quirk which is the ability to copy any quirk users ability. Based on the type of blood he ingests decides the amount of time he can use the copied quirk for.
Occupation: CEO of his own hero firm, he is extremely selective with the interns he has that there is a major waitlist to be even consider for Masters Inc. Course, imagine the surprise Danny must of felt when he received an offer from Vlad right off the bat after the Sports festival.
Bruce Guiles (Bullet)
Hero Name: Bullet
Quirk: Sphyraena or Chimera Fish
Able to do anything a barracuda can do or the quirk is a 50/50 mutant quirk in which he has both the traits of a barracuda, Chimaeras and a touch of piranha from his parents being of one of these fish species hence Chimera. Bullet can do anything those fish can do overall but he can’t go too long without hydration from water. Water quality and its oxygen content also affect his abilities by a noticeable percentage but he still remains quite formidable as a quirk user.
Occupation: Captain of a coast guard team, he’s a strict military man with an amazing record of saving people from any disasters both on land and sea. Him and Walker are best buddies ever since they went to school together.
Vortex
Hero Name: Vortex
Quirk: Storm Warning
Vortex can utilize any variation of a natural disaster depending on the environment he’s in. Hurricanes, tornadoes, thunderstorms, you name it he can create it for his use. However, despite his amazing control over his quirk it is still possible for him to create these disasters if he lost control or magnify another pre-existing one if he loses focus.
Occupation: Storm-chaser/Forecaster; His control and knowledge in combating/predicting these natural disasters has led to him to be part of a storm chasing crew and they’re the best in helping disaster prevention teams evacuate citizens as a result.
Petra Eris
Hero name: Pandora
Quirk: Butterfly Effect
Can manipulate or prevent a chaotic event to happen if she was in proximity and present to prevent it to happen. Or even give a little chaos to the opponent to deal with during battle.
One of the top ten heroes and most beloved heroes in the country. She is the best strategist in any team and has a way to predict any event before they happen given the necessity of it for her quirk to work in her favor.
Johnny
Vigilante name: Johnny 13
Quirk: Unlucky
Johnny manifests his bad luck into a shadow that will latch onto opponents and cause unfortunate events to occur more for that individual as a result. However, the shadow cannot exist in complete sunlight; it can only remain if there are already shadows in his general area or it’s nighttime and its effects are strongest at that time obviously.
Occupation: Johnny is the leader of a biker gang or de-facto leader of said biker gang who loves to raise hell and helping folks that need saving whenever he’s around or is up to the task. Kitty tags along with him to help him out of jams and bc she loves him. :3
Kitty
Vigilante name: Kitty
Quirk: Lovesick
Kitty sends a smooch towards her opponent which if it makes contact causes the individual to have nausea or become disoriented for around 10 minutes. It can also have a chance of lasting longer if the individual was sort of infatuated with her regardless of gender.
Pariah Dark
Villain name: King Pariah
Quirk: Ultimate Adaptation
Similar to all for one except with the unpredictability for both the user and opponents. Pariah can manifest any type of quirk needed to defeat anyone that stands in his way both one-on-one and in groups. Course, drawbacks are the learning curve to some of the quirks and that multiple adaptions he utilizes at once will destroy his cells in the process.
Pariah is a former follower of all for one who had unique quirk that All for one augmented to help him succeed if both Shigaraki and Tomura failed in their own conquest for the world. But now Pariah has his own plans to succeed where they failed and become the leader who shapes a new world order with an iron fist.
Frederick Kingsmen
Villain/vigilante name: Fright Knight
Quirk: Burning Energy Infusion
Able to form/infuse objects with his own burning energy life force that is capable of burning or slicing through any in his sight. The sweat he gives off is what provides the material needed to ignite his unnatural flames despite it causing his body to overheat still.
Fright Knight is Pariah’s second-in-command with a loyalty to him as strong as his control over his power. Fright Knight has faced many pro-heros as he carried out the smaller phases of Pariah’s plans and most of them barely came close towards defeating or leaving as much as  scratch on the knight.
Rodolfo Gonzalo
Hero name: Wulf
Quirk: Werewolf + Portal creation (50/50?)
Can do anything a werewolf can supposedly do; somehow it allows him to create portals with his claws to locations he has marked with them or visited in the past.
Wulf was abducted on by Pariah’s forces and sent into the Nomu labs for experimentation to force on another quirk and instill complete allegiance to their cause. Course, Wulf broke free as a result of that new additional quirk allowing him to escape their clutches and his previous one helping him survive the endeavor. However, he lost his memories in the process and could only remember his native language, Spanish, and his hero name Wulf.
Overgrown
Villain/vigilante Name: Overgrown
Quirk: Plant Manipulation
Can manipulate any pre-existing plant matter or create new vegetation if water and soil is present for the process or he understand the biological makeup of the plant in question.
Occupation: Pro-hero or eco-terrorist who is tired of humanity from abusing the environment from quirk battles to industries using the land for their own benefits and none others.
That’s all I have for now! I hope this was worth the wait, guys. As well as, inspire ideas for your takes with a DP x BNHA Crossover!

Delayed Mourning
Going Angst Day 5: Death
_________________________________________
It was 3pm when there was a knock on Maddie Fenton’s door. She huffed and set down the meal she’d been working on. Of course the one day she had time to pre-plan a nice meal from her family was the day she’d get interrupted.
“Yes? May I help you?” Maddie asked, opening the door. She had expected a salesman. Possibly even a neighbor coming to complain, again, about the noise or the smells that came from Fentonworks. Instead she found a small woman who couldn’t have been much taller than 5 ft with dark brown hair tied up in a tight bun. She was wearing a sharp white shirt and suit jacket with a matching white skirt.
“Mrs. Fenton, hello,” the woman gave a polite little head nod. “I’m from the the Government Institute of Interdimensional Warfare though I hear the locals like to call us the Guys in White.” She said with a knowing smiling, “of course, as you know, it’s not only the guys who are interested in ghosts. May I come in?”
“Oh yes, hello,” Maddie blinked, opening the door to let the agent in. The petite woman stepped inside, her heels clicking on the hardwood floor. Her small frame, her oversized glasses and soft nature seemed so at odds with the meatheads Maddie usually found in the GIW. “Is there something I can help you with?”
“Perhaps,” the agent demurred. “It’s more there was something I wanted to inform you of. If you’re not too busy, may we sit down and talk? Your husband and children are not home.” Maddie thought that last statement was a bit odd, framed as a statement of fact rather than an inquiry but moved on.
“Yes, Jack’s out of town visiting a relative and my kids won’t be back for a little while,” Maddie said. “Let me just finish putting this roast together, I’m almost done. Can I get you anything? Water? Tea?”
“No, thank you,” The woman said quietly. “And please, continue while you’re doing. Let me give you a little bit of background.” The agent adjusted her large glasses with her tiny hands. “Let me introduce myself, you may call me Agent S. I work primarily out of Washington for the Institute but sometimes I am deployed on site for... special cases. And, as I’m sure you’re aware, your town is very special.”
“Now, as you may have noticed, I am not particularly built like the normal Institute agents you have probably come across. That is because I do not work in the field but behind the scene in Investigations. My job is study the history and happenings of hauntings and spectral entities.”
“Oh that sounds fascinating,” Maddie beamed as she finished with her final preps and put the roast in the over. She looked over her shoulder at Agent S while she washed her hands. “Jack and I dabble a bit in history and folklore but we’re more versed in the hard sciences of ghosts.”
“Yes, I’ve read some of your papers, you and your husband truly are the frontrunners in the field,” Agent S nodded. Maddie preened at the praise and sat down, delighted to have a sophisticated conversation with someone in her field who she wasn’t married to. If more of those GIW agents were like Agent S then Maddie would get along a lot better with them. “So, Maddie, may I call you Maddie? What date and time did your portal start working?”
“It was August 28th,” Maddie said proudly. “It didn’t work at first when we first plugged it in. I’m afraid I don’t have an exact time it started up as we weren’t here. Jack was convinced one of the electrical conduction pieces wasn’t fully connected and was preventing ectoplasmic distribution. We ended up driving 4 hours to Springfield and back for some specialty parts only to find the portal working when we returned.”
“I can help you there,” Agent S said with a soft smile reaching into her white briefcase and pulling out several thick folders. She laid them out gently on the table and Maddie was unnerved by some of the information: schematics of Fentonworks, past and present financial records, transcripts of public statements. Her shoulders tensed when she saw Jazz and Danny’s names on some of the files. “Toll camera captured your vehicle on the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway at exactly 1:26pm on August 28th. We can confirm you and your husband’s vehicle traveled to Springfield and back via video feeds and credit card statements at 10:45pm that same day and were therefore out of the city all day.”
Maddie suddenly felt very trapped by the woman’s sharp grey eyes as she plucked a piece of paper and pressed it towards Maddie.
“At 3:18pm, the majority of the residential power in town went out for a period of 2 and a half hours. The cause was determined to be from a massive power surge that blew out the transformer. You may recall being blamed for this outage given your history with previous outages but the news that you were out of town settled that argument. However, I was not convinced.” She pulled out another piece of paper and Maddie bristled to see it was a Casper High attendance sheet.
“Your daughter, Jasmine was at her final summer cram session which ran from 2pm until 5pm. I spoke to her tutors and she never left the whole time and, in fact, stayed late to help a fellow student work through her study materials. But what about your son?” Agent S asked with with a curious smile but her eyes belied the fact that she had her own answers.
“How dare you spy on my family, on my children,” Maddie hissed, crumpling one of the papers in her fist. “Get out of my house, I will sue the pants off of your organization for this invasion of privacy! Get out!”
“Now Maddie, don’t you want to know how your son started up your Portal?” Agent S asked coyly, that drew Maddie up short. Danny? No, he couldn’t have possibly. He had no interest in their work, in fact, now that she thought about it, Danny had been sick that day. Agent S pulled out a set of blueprints for the Fenton Portal. Some small component inside the Portal was circled.
“You left at approximately 1pm and your daughter presumably left not long after. Phone records indicate Daniel called both Tucker Foley and Samantha Manson. Your neighbor, Mrs. Benson, saw them coming into your house not long after but before the 3pm power outage which I was able to triangulate did in fact originate from your home.” Agent S tapped the circled part of the inner portal mechanisms. “Now did you happen to push the on button in the Portal before plugging it in?”
“On button?” Maddie asked with a dry mouth, overwhelmed by the amount of information being thrown her way. All she could think about was how Danny hadn’t seemed sick when they’d left that afternoon but had looked awful when they returned. Would he have really gone downstairs and messed with the Portal? Had he gotten hurt? Been contaminated down there? Images of Vlad’s sickly visage after his accident flowed through her head. She should have paid more attention but she’d been so excited about the Portal working...
“It’s right here in the blueprints you submitted to the patent office, buried under dozens of other hardware bits. Its small, such a little thing compared to all the moving parts required to open up a dimensional portal. Daniel was a bright boy, his middle school records prove it. A bright mind, friends to impress, no parents around to chastise him... I think you can see where I’m going with this.”
“No, no,” Maddie said, burying her hands in her hair. “No, I’m not. You’re saying -what? - that my teenage son turned on the Portal when we were gone? No, my Danny wouldn’t lie to me about that... Why wouldn’t he say anything?”
“I don’t blame him for not mentioned in because, if my hunch is correct, he was inside the Portal when it turned on, killing him instantly,” Agent S said with a carefully neutral face. “I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I’m afraid this haunting has gone on long enough.”
“My child is alive!” Maddie screeched, standing up in her chair. “Danny is alive and healthy and he is not a ghost!”
“I will admit the evidence of how he died is circumstantial but the fact that Danny Fenton is deceased is not.” Maddie fell back into her chair as he legs gave out underneath her.
She watched the agent put paper after paper in front of her and detailed all sorts of data about her son that Maddie, who lived in the same house as him, had missed. Unusually high ectosignatures picked up by GIW (and their own) detectors, Danny being spotted in some form before most ghost attacks, faked signatures of hers getting him out of nurses’ visits. Maddie barely felt alive herself as she stared at a red light camera photo of her baby sitting atop a light post late, late at night. His eyes were a toxic green color.
“I know this must be distressing as a mother but your child never left that basement, never attended high school and will never achieve his dream of working for NASA.” Agent S said with carefully measured sympathy as she gathered up her papers and put them back in her case. “But you are a brilliant scientist, unlike your husband, you should be able to look past your emotions and see that your child is gone and the ghost he left behind is dangerous.”
“My husband?” Maddie asked blankly, running a finger down Danny’s unnatural photograph.
“I approached Jack two days ago, mistakenly believing he would be the most understanding of you both. He refused to believe the evidence and was, in fact, going to warn your son’s ghost that we planned on taking him. He is safe but he presently being held at one of our facilities until the capture is complete.” Maddie should feel outraged at her husband’s kidnapping but all she could think about was the fact that her son was dead, dead, dead, killed by her own invention over a year ago and she never noticed. How could she not have noticed?
“Daniel’s ghost is extraordinary, not only able to pass as human so accurately for so long but immensely powerful. We need to make sure he doesn’t harm anyone else. Think of his friends who are probably being forced to aid him and keep his death quiet. Think of your husband, your daughter, living in the same house as a dangerous ghost.” Agent S dropped some of her professionalism and plucked the photo of Danny out of Maddie’s hands and replaced it with her own tiny hand.
“I know this is impossible thing to ask but I must do it anyway, will you help me capture what remains of Danny? There is a chance with his charade exposed, he will be able to move on and so will you. You have been wronged, Maddie. You have been denied the right to process and grieve your child by his own ghost. But a delayed mourning is better than none. Danny’s death is a tragedy but please don’t let it become someone else’s.”
“Maybe he’s not-” Maddie’s breath hitched, “he’s never shown any signs of aggression. Jasmine spoke of benevolent spirits... maybe-” Agent S sighed roughly and retracted her hand to grab another photo from her case. Maddie was surprised when she held up a picture of Phantom.
“Ignore the glow,” Agent S instructed. “Change his white hair to black, his green eyes to blue. Think of how often Phantom is spotted in your neighborhood, around Casper High. Remember how he always has his hands on your technology,” the agent frowned. “Think of how he grins when he sees you, like he knows something you don’t. Like it all just a big joke you’re not a part of.” Maddie felt like she’d been slapped.
“Your son is dead,” Agent S said more forcefully, throwing the picture of Phantom next to the spooky one of Danny. “And his ghost has taken his place, taunting you, stealing energy from your family, from the portal that killed him. Phantom’s power is increasing too rapidly and soon we won’t be able to contain him. It’s why I was brought in to identify his haunt so that he could be stopped before anyone else died.”
“I will state this plainly, I am giving you the chance to participate in putting your child to rest but you are not required for this operation. If you refuse, you will be confined with your husband until Phantom is taken down. Do not let this monster with your son’s face trick you any more. So I ask again, Maddie Fenton, will you help us stop Phantom from making a mockery of your son’s memory?”
XxX
“Mom! Jazz! I’m home!” Danny announced, kicking off his shoes and grabbing a paper out of his backpack as he walked into the kitchen with a grin. “And I have a present! Jazz’s tutoring paid off, look at this A I got on my history test! Well A- but a solid A-!”
“Oh... that’s great,” Mom muttered quietly. She was sitting at the kitchen table, not cooking or tinkering with some gadget. Just sitting there quietly, twiddling her thumbs and not looking at him.
“Is everyone okay?” Danny asked, dropping his bag on the floor and walking over to his mother. “I saw Jazz at school but is Dad okay?”
“No, everything is not okay,” she said turning and looking at him with tear-filled eyes. “Someone died, someone I love dearly and I’m not ready to let them go,” she sniffed and wiped at her eyes. “But they've been gone for a long time, even if I’m just hearing about it now. I’m upset but it’s better to know and be grieve than to go on in ignorance, living a lie.”
Danny was about to ask who had died when something was jammed into his neck and he was shocked within an inch of his half life. His body spasmed to escape but his mother was gripping his arm to hold him in place. He transformed unconsciously but that only made it worse. He fell to the floor, ectoplasm leaking off his form as he could barely hold himself together.
“Mom,” he croaked, reaching for her despite everything. She stomped on his hand which was practically goo from such a vicious, destabilizing ectoplasmic shock.
“Don’t you ever call me that,” she hissed through angry tears. “I didn’t want to believe it but the proof is right in front of me you horrible, selfish ghost.” She kicked him in the side and half of him ended up on her boot. “How dare you, how dare you impersonate my son! How dare you string me along all this time, make me look like a fool who had to told that her own child was dead! I bet you just laughed and laughed at our stupid, human ignorance of what your were!”
“‘lease,” he begged through the ectoplasm in his mouth. “I’m still your....”
“My son is dead and he has been for a while,” Mom said, throwing the ecto-taser away from her. Danny vaguely heard the door being kicked in and in his rapidly diminishing vision, he saw black boots and white suits. “With you gone, I can finally come to terms with it and not be tormented by an inadequate replacement.” She turned her back to him. “Get that filth out of my house, I never want to see it again.”
“Of course,” a quiet feminine voice said as his goopy arms were restrained with ghost proof cuffs. “I know this is hard, Maddie but you made the right choice for your family and Danny’s memory. Jack will returned to you within the hour. I spoke to my superiors, for your cooperation, the Institute will take care of declaring Danny dead as well as covering costs for your boy to be laid to rest, the first step in moving on.”
“No, the first step will be removing that duplicitous monster from my home. It’s stolen enough of my baby’s life. Now please leave, I have - I have a funeral to plan.”

Unpopular Ducktales Opinion
So there’s been alot of news and rumors about Ducktales being cancelled after it’s third season. And there’s been alot of back and forth of how official it is and how it’ll be the end of one of the greatest cartoons/reboots of the modern era. And for that, I’d like to say...
I’m okay with Ducktales ending at season 3.
Don’t get me wrong. I do love Ducktales. I enjoy everything about it and I would love to see more content and episodes from them. But I’m honestly willing to settle with the show ending now. For the most part, it’s had a remarkable run with so many strong and compelling episodes that anyone can enjoy. There were a few base breakers every now and then, but nothing too big that would tarnish the show’s popularity.
Plus with how season 3 has been progressing, you can tell that alot of the main cast’s character development and story arcs have become “completed” in a sense.
Scrooge is now more accepting of his family and is willing to own up to his mistakes along with embracing change when it comes to adventuring.
While Huey’s arc is still in progress, the nerd is becoming more comfortable with embracing his interests while also learning that there’s more than one way to solve a solution.
Dewey is shown to be more thoughtful and considerate towards others while channeling his impulsivity to a positive effect.
Louie learned, or is still learning, that it takes more than smooth talking and “seeing every angle” to get what he wants and that he needs to put in the effort to accomplish his goals.
Webby became more confident in expressing who she is while also achieving her dream of being part of the McDuck-Duck family.
Donald is more accepting of his family going on dangerous adventures and has also started to take the time to focus on his own interests (reuniting with his friends as the Three Candelabras, his new relationship with Daisy).
Della is back from the moon and has been able to connect with her kids, brother and uncle while learning how to be a good mom.
Launchpad is living his dream of fighting crime alongside his boyfriend/partner Drake and their adopted daughter Gosalyn. (Not to mention that LP hasn’t been very involved in the show after the Let’s Get Dangerous special).
Gyro is now significantly nicer after making amends with B.O.Y.D. and treating Fenton as an equal.
Fenton is happier now that he has a better balance of his identities as a professional scientist and a bionic superhero, both of whom want to help people.
Lena was able to cut ties to her abusive aunt Magica as well as forming healthier relationships with her friends and sister while also becoming a good witch in her own right.
Goldie is starting to be less selfish when she realizes how much she cares for Scrooge (and Louie) and decides not to run from them. She’s still greedy but she is more considerate of them.
Penumbra and the Moonlanders have already adjusted to life on Earth and there doesn’t seem to be any hostile tensions between them and the humans.
The only one left would be Beakeley who is still going through her own arc this season along with her past relation to F.O.W.L. But as it stands, most of the main characters have either obtained positive character development or are in a much better place compared to how they were at the start of the series. So I find it kind of hard to see how these characters can grow if we’re given a fourth season.
One of the risks of making the series longer would no doubt be the characters having to relearn their lesson while also undoing their development. That would be incredibly risky if done incorrectly and the DT crew doesn’t feel like the type to do that constantly.
And in regards to story, it’s also hard to imagine what the Ducks will go through after defeating F.O.W.L. and reclaiming the Missing Mysteries in season three. What else is there for them to do after they obtain all of Isabella Finch’s mysteries? Is there really a mystery that’s just as big as the MMs or even Della’s disappearance that season 4 could work with? What type of villain/antagonist could possibly replace the fiendish organization that’s been established as one of the greatest threats in the Ducktales universe? Even greater than Magica de Spell who unleashed a shadow themed apocalypse upon her return or General Lunaris who staged a global scale alien invasion and was close to destroying the Earth.
While it’s true that there are other elements from the Disney Afternoon Universe that could be implemented for season 4, I think it would be too risky to include those elements. Mainly because they’ll draw more attention towards them and less on the Ducktales cast or their original show. It’ll kinda tie to the whole “jumping the shark” problem as the show would need to rely on outside sources or escalated plot points in order to keep the viewer interested. Or as stated above, the characters would need to undo their character development in order to relearn the same lessons but in different formats. If not done properly, that can very well damage the show’s image and fans would start to hate on it for trying too hard.
And after seeing that type of switch from love to hate happen on so many cartoons in the past (Steven Universe, Star vs the Forces of Evil, Voltron, Miraculous Ladybug) I don’t want the same thing to happen to Ducktales.
I personally think it would be best if Ducktales ended as it is now. So that it can end in peace and be fondly remembered for years to come.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you agree or disagree with anything I’ve written here, you’re more than welcome to reblog this with your thoughts on the matter.

-.-.-.-
Vlad considered himself a man of simple pleasures.
If something caught his attention and would make him happy then he went and got it.
Not caring about what other people might think about his choices. If his happiness was on the line what other people had to say was irrelevant. Unless said people were influential enough to affect his future, in which case he had to tread carefully. But he never gave up on what he had put his sights on.
This way of thinking had accompanied him since he was a young lad and It didn’t seem like it was going to change anytime soon. If his experience with Jack and Maddie hadn’t made the trick he didn’t know what possibly could.
At the time, meeting Jack Fenton at the University of Wisconsin had opened the door to new possibilities. The man got so pumped up that he seemed to exude cheer all over the place, it was a sharp contrast to the dull family Vlad had left behind in his search for higher education, for something better than the leftovers they hoped would make him happy.
What Jack brought to the table was new. A field of study no one had ever researched before, not like this, not with proper scientific evidence.
So he had let himself get dragged along. Just to see what it was like. A shot in the dark, so to speak.
It was enough to intrigue him.
To the point that Vlad, who until that point was gunning for a major in business, had upgraded to a double major to include engineering, with a personal-extra-side of whatever the hell he needed to know to make sense of the things Jack kept spouting around like a complete madman.
With the proper knowledge, and even more intrigued, Vlad had come to realize that while Jack seemed like a goofball at first sight, there was some backbone to his theories. That had just sealed the deal.
And then Maddie came along. crashing into them with all the brilliance of a shooting star.
Madeline, who had been the cherry on top. Beautiful, passionate, and headstrong. Well on her way to becoming an amazing engineer with the meanest right hook Vlad had ever seen.
He had become infatuated. It was almost laughable how hard he had hit the ground running with that one.
It went downhill from there with him none the wiser.
They had shared hopes and dreams with Vlad in a way not even his blood family had. Become his best and only friends. And he was sure that with time and careful planning Madeline could become more.
Could anyone blame him for thinking this could be what a true family was like? For thinking that this was it.
They had been his everything, and as such he would have done anything within his power to lay the world before them.
Which made their betrayal hurt deeper.
He had failed to see, as submerged as he was in his little happy bubble and the research, the growing distance between them and him, the sneaking around, the way they had started to look at each other. The distraction that had lead to mistakes
Irreversible mistakes.
Ones they hadn’t stuck around for.
He had been a complete mess after that.
He had carried on. Once out of the hospital he has persevered and achieved everything that got on his way, and if he used a little bit of ghostly help that was no one’s business but his. And maybe he would have been happy with that, but there was always that little thorn that seemed to be stuck to his core. He had tried to play the fool. It hadn’t worked. And it wasn’t even his style, to begin with.
So when the opportunity presented itself to try and fix some of what he had lost in the past, he took it.
He had planned to barge in guns blazing. And he did. But he hadn’t been expecting the pair of scrawny teens he had been presented with. Much less for one of them to have been subjected to the same affliction that haunted his days. Just that the brat had it worse because it had been his parents who had half-killed him and not his best friends.
Vlad would find out later about what exactly happened in the Fenton’s basement and laugh bitterly while sipping cognac because that made it even more ironic.
He had thought about it long and hard. And decided to accept the child as his apprentice and honorary son. The kid was in urgent need of some proper training. A pair of meals for him and his sister wouldn’t hurt either — as blind as he had been back then, he was coherent enough to still recognize the mistake that was letting either of his ‘friends’ in the kitchen. — He was deliberately choosing to disregard their parent’s crime in order to help them.
He was amicable like that. Kind, even.
If only the ungrateful little badger cooperated.
jasmine, who had eventually realized what exactly was going on — The man had seen it coming from miles away, the girl was smart and her disaster of a brother kept stumbling around town as if he didn’t have a care in the world. It was distressing to witness. — and not just the surface passive-aggressive way they sniped at each other in public, would help him realize that he had been going all wrong about approaching Daniel.
He had been treating him like he used to treat the boy’s parents
The older Fentons had never treated him seriously, so he always had to find dramatic ways to make them go along with what he wanted. Come to think of it, he had done that with a lot of people…
So, he had unconsciously regressed to his college years. Never a good stage to revive. It had obviously led straight to disaster, and he might or might not have neglected his business in the meantime. Thankfully, Jasmine had taken it upon herself to snap him out of it. Trying to run for mayor in a town in the middle of nowhere. Him. A goddamned Billionaire. What was he even thinking?
Obsessions were a dangerous thing. He would need to be more careful in the future.
To summarize, Jasmine had been, as much as it pained him to accept it, most helpful in their little chats on how to deal with teenagers.
Now, he realized, the desire to keep striving for his beloved Madeline’s hand was putting a dent in his interactions with the little badger, and even his sister would show reluctance if he went a little too far. And if he wanted to educate this childr- child, educate this child properly,   that was not going to help him to accomplish his goals.
He was a businessman. He knew when risks were acceptable. Knew what investments would not be profitable.
There was a reason he had managed to convince the University of Wisconsin to finance their research when there wasn’t any concrete proof of ghosts, a reason he had managed to become a millionaire. Other than sleight of hand. That is.
In the end, the final choice was pretty obvious.
Having his obsession slowly shift targets after meeting the kids had been quite the experience.
Especially because he, self-made billionaire, the man on top of everything, who had fingers in all of the biggest pies out there, The Vlad Masters Himself, had not seen it coming.
-.-.-.-
Vlad would love to say he exhorted the best place to eat out of the boy. But really. Once Vlad said he was paying Daniel was more than happy to shoot for the tastiest and expensive things the siblings normally couldn’t afford. Jasmine was not openly contributing to her brother’s effort to suck him dry of money, but she was not stopping him either.
He didn’t have any proof those two could communicate telepathically but by this point, he felt he didn’t need any. They probably had some sort of silent signals. The sneaky little shits.
The man didn’t mind. Not really. He got the brats all for himself, after all. It was a win-win situation.
“So,” he started with a hum “What happened with the box ghost?” Vlad inquired
The boy glared at him. Vlad smirked. Jasmine was making a great job at feigning deafness while looking completely done with them.
“I dealt with him accordingly.”Danny glowered, stabbing his burger with a fork. The billionaire wasn’t sure if that was meant to make a point or the teen went feral on automatic these days even with his food. “The fuck, Vlad. I thought we were in peace mode.”
“Excuse you, child. I didn’t have anything to do with that. It was just making a simple question.” Which was mostly true, Vlad wouldn’t lower himself to the point of using such an annoying ghost as a lackey. He just liked to poke fun at little badger  “And even if I had, that was before I called a truce. It would have been completely valid.”
Daniel just grumbled, conceding the point, and continued mangling the food on his plate. The little heathen.
Having lost the attention of the boy, he took a sip of his drink and turned to look at the other sibling.
“You convinced them to do your research in ghosts, hm?”
“Not like it was hard.” she was eating at a more sedate pace than her brother, but still a little faster than would be considered appropriate in polite company.  “Thanks to a pair of someones.” she sniffed at them. Danny smiled at her but kept his mouth closed and otherwise occupied with food. Vlad just hummed in quiet approval.
“Good job.” then he frowned. “But also, why?”
“Why what?”
“Not the best place you could have chosen to do that, is it now?”
“Maybe not the most agreeable, no.” She conceded, reaching over to take a napkin. “But it is the best place for my purposes.”
“Why though?” He insisted, hoping for a proper explanation.
“Why not?” she retorted, the picture of innocence taking another bite. Vlad sighed and rolled his eyes, he kept forgetting she could be as bad as her brother sometimes.
“Does it matter, old man? We are going anyway.” Daniel finally joined the conversation again, waving one of his french fries in an extremely judgy manner in Vlad’s direction “I didn’t pull all those strings in the zone for you to come complaining and think we are backing down just because you don’t like it.“
“Oh ho, strings, you say?” Vlad mocked, “Would that have anything to do with the reason why Skulker came to me seeking refuge with his tail between his legs?”
Daniel almost choked on his next bite. Enough that Jasmine started looking worried, most likely about whether or not she would have to use the Heimlich on him. She relaxed when her brother finally sucked some air into his lungs just to immediately start laughing.
“It does have some relation, yes” Jasmine took over for her brother, seeing as he was too busy making an impression of the lion king’s hyenas. It was a good thing they were in the more private part of the restaurant. “We, um, had to get creative.”
Vlad just raised both his eyebrows at her, and with a background of her brother’s cackles, she finally acceded to give in some ground.
“I have a theory, and frankly, it would be faster if I do this in Arkham. For a bunch of reasons I don’t feel comfortable discussing at the moment.” Jasmine offered, “Plus, seeing as Danny is insisting on tagging along and at the moment he can’t really afford to leave Amity for longer than necessary-” Hearing that made Daniel come back from his endless snickering.
“Hey! don’t try to pin this on me. This was all you-!”
After that, a free for all started between the siblings and Vlad stopped listening, feeling honest to the ancients offended. Couldn’t afford to leave longer? Please, Vlad could fix that in a jiffy, they just needed to ask- but nooo, the brats always had to go to the extremes for everything.
Although Vlad had to admit that Jasmine most likely had good reasons — If Daniel had said it, he wouldn’t even contemplate the validity of such a loose statement — for saying it would be faster doing it in Gotham- ugh, he had to stop himself from sneering just at the mention of the place.
He had decided to open a branch office for one of his companies in the damned city and it had been nothing more than a headache in the last years. He had opted to send people over from the other branches to take care of everything rather than hiring people from Gotham to fill the spots available.
After a pair of months of operations, it had become obvious that the place wasn’t working as smoothly as any of his other offices all over the world.
It seemed like his employees didn’t have the spine to deal with the city’s threats properly. And hiring more Gothamites, who were guaranteed to have a spine on behalf of being raised in the place, would just make the mess bigger without him there to supervise.
Which he hadn’t had the time to do.
Come to think of it, the only reason he hadn’t taken it into his own hands was because-
His train of thought stopped right in its tracks, eyes snapping open as he took a long look at the kids in front of him.
They seemed to have stopped discussing at some point, but the teenaged halfa was currently trying to steal some food from the plate of the young lady at his side. His sister, on retaliation, was moving her fork in an exaggerated stab motion to discourage her thieving little brother.
“Oh,” he uttered under his breath, as good as speechless and unable to take his eyes off them.
I didn’t take matters of Gotham into my own hands because of them.
The thought, and the implications that came along with it, struck him so suddenly that they left him startled enough to start laughing without care for present company.
Oh, this was too good!
Daniel was watching him warily. As if Vlad showing any kind of amusement was a sign of danger. Which, considering, was fair enough.
Jasmine just took the opportunity the distraction lent her to keep eating peacefully before her brother got any other funny ideas about food-thievery.
Vlad put his elbow on the table, interlacing his fingers so he could rest his chin on the joined hands, smirking and allowing himself to let out some random chuckles from time to time. Seeing the boy get all ruffled up was fun. Especially when he hadn’t done anything yet.
‘Yet’ being the keyword.
Oh, this was going to work perfectly after all.
-.-.-.-
After eating their fill and doing some more quasi civilized talking they finally got some dessert and the siblings took the opportunity to order some take-out to have for breakfast. It was never a bad thing to secure food beforehand, and Vlad had seemed agreeable enough.
Way too agreeable if you asked Danny. But food was food, and there wouldn’t be no looking at horses’ mouths in this household, no sir.
Vlad said his goodbyes claiming to have urgent business to attend to, and vanished into the night like the dramatic pseudo-vampire-ghost he had always aspired to be.
Why the man had bothered to come all the way to Amity Park if he had work to do was beyond Danny, but good riddance. His random giggles were starting to creep him out.
Once he was sure the fruit loop was not coming back and they were truly alone on the sidewalk, the teen turned around to his sister and found her stifling a yawn on her hand. A quick look at his phone confirmed that it was already pretty late, and having a full stomach always made Jazz get all lethargic on him. He would too, but that was why he consumed coffee religiously, unlike his sister who preferred the occasional vitamin drink.
So he resigned himself to playing pack mule yet again and let her lean on him so they could start their trek back home. A trek that would be slow as fuck, because Jazz kept insisting on using him as a pillow while they walked rather than focusing on using her feet properly.
She was lucky he loved her and had ghost cheat codes to support her weight, otherwise the night would have ended very differently.
Danny huffed and let her snug closer to him.
Now they just needed to sneak into the house without alerting their parents.
Yey.
-.-.-.-
Jazz had to give it to Danny, he was the best cuddle partner she could have asked for in a brother.
Though she could admit that her brother’s temperature could fluctuate wildly sometimes while sleeping because of his ghost-core-thingy or other random ghost power, whichever it was at the time had made it a little awkward for them to share sleeping quarters when one of them needed the comfort.
Luckily, they had found ways to deal with the temperature clashes. In summer it was easier to deal with them because in that season her brother’s often chilly nature was a complete godsend. Winter was trickier but there was nothing a pair of isolation blankets couldn’t manage, and when Danny’s powers decided to be contrary and transform him into a living heater, Jazz was more than happy to take advantage of it.
They had a few space blankets too, Jazz was pretty sure Vlad had gotten those just for Danny, but her brother had been rather tight-lipped about them, even if he clearly loved them.
So here they were, sprawled on the bed with Jazz’s arms firmly around her brother’s waist and half her face buried against his upper chest, rejoicing in the coolness emanating from the spot.
She had been awake for a little while but couldn’t make herself let go of her little bro. After they had sneaked in — after Danny had half-dragged her in — they had ended up crashing in her room. This for two important reasons, first because Danny’s room was still a mess after their parents threw all the equipment they could their way, and second because she had refused to let go of her newly acquired pillow. So her bedroom it was.
Ugh, she would get hungry eventually and would have to go downstairs for their breakfast effectively separating her from the cuddles. Jazz released a little grumble and buried herself deeper into the embrace.
The only up-side was that she would only have to heat their food and not make it from scratch. As long as she managed to avoid their parents and make it back upstairs she could rejoin her brother without interruptions and-
“Good morning, Princess Jasmine! ”
Wha-?
Jazz lifted herself and turned her head towards the voice so fast she immediately regretted it. There went her neck. she winced and raised a hand to carefully massage her nape. It would never work the same way again. At least she could see the source of the unfamiliar voice now and it left her perplexed.
There was a ghost on the window sill.
Why was there a ghost on their windowsill?
As a general rule, most ghosts tended to stay the fuck away from the Fenton house once they got out of the zone, so this development was very strange. Then again, Jazz had never seen this ghost before.
It was a female ghost, that was clear, and her hair-
Jazz had to blink a few times, completely awestruck at the number of colors her brain was trying to process at the same time.
She really had rainbow hair. What the-?
The apparent twenty-somethings female ghost had her hair done on a perfect half-up ponytail and displaying all the colors in the visible spectrum, she was clad in a cute summer dress that seemed to be patched up with- were those postage stamps? and a pair of lace-up sandals. She sat with one leg crossed over the other, a giddy smile stamped on her face. She was glowing. literally.
Meanwhile, Jazz had not bothered to change clothes before going to sleep or even tied her hair up into a bun, and now it looked like she had gotten trapped in one of her parent’s ghost traps. She managed to stifle the urgent need of running to the nearest mirror to tame down her hair as much as she could. She was feeling tacky all of a sudden.
Ugh. She felt like a hobo just looking at her. she had patches on her dress and she was still pulling it off. Maybe that was the ghost’s thing? making other girls felt like vagabonds with just her presence. Jazz blinked a pair of times, brain finally processing the other girl’s words, and becoming even more baffled by the living — animated? embodiment? — rainbow’s presence.
Had she just called her ‘princess’?
“Um, hi?” Jazz finally greeted her, she sent a look to her still slumbering brother and debated on whether or not she should wake him. On one hand, he had been running himself ragged the last weeks getting everything in order so she was reluctant to do it. On the other hand, there was a ghost on the window. A rather cute one, but still.
Choices. choices.
The redhead turned her whole attention towards the ghost again. Well, she looks calm enough, and has not set anything on fire or attempted any kidnapping yet, so-
“Sorry, I’m still rebooting. Do I know you?” Jazz went on, trying to get some sort of grip on the situation.
“Not really, but I have heard plenty about you.” the ghost beamed, just to falter suddenly and offer a chagrined smile “I must have seemed very rude.”
“My name is Iris.” She finally presented herself and jabbered on while pointing at the little cloth string bag resting on her hip. “I’m the Infinity Realms’ Official Messenger. And I have a few packages for both of you, my lady.”
“The Zone’s messenger?” Jazz parroted back. She had never heard about a messenger in the zone, but it was a rather big place and there were things even Danny hadn’t heard about, so it was a possibility.  “And just Jazz is fine, thank you.”
The skittle girl just smiled. “Yes, I made the rounds earlier and there were some packages for the crown prince,” she said, confirming the reason for her presence in the room.
Ok. She could deal with ghosts addressing her brother with titles. And messengers? messengers were fine in her book. She could deal. She got this. Still-
“Danny was in the zone yesterday, though? Why would they wait until now and not just take advantage of his visit?”
“There are some fragile things in here, and your brother seemed to be getting- uh, quite busy yesterday,” she replied, clearly amused. “The senders didn’t want to risk it. So here I am!”
With that declaration, she opened her little bag and started to unload a staggering amount of packages and even some mail into neat little piles. Great, more things to pack. How some of them could get into such a tiny bag was a mystery, but that was probably just ghost zone physics. Or magic. Maybe both.
“Oh, thank you.” Jazz just conceded. It was better to just go along. Iris hummed in acknowledgment, still organizing everything and explaining to Jazz where each pile had come from and some extra information that the messenger had found interesting on her rounds.
She was quite lively for a ghost.
“Pandora in particular was rather twitchy yesterday about not catching your brother for a chat. Did you know she is having a gathering next month?” Iris gushed at her in low whispers, with all the air of a gossipy neighbor that couldn’t separate himself from their windows. “It’s a shame you will not be accompanying them for the festivities.”
“But Isn’t that just for amazons..?” Jazz asked from her seat on the foot of the bed, where she had moved to have a better view of the things the other ghosts had sent to Danny and her.
“Yes.”
“…I think I missed something.”
“Haven’t you heard?”Iris giggled. Getting a pen and notepad out of her bag and starting to write something down, she presumably used that to keep inventory. “You are both part of Pandora’s honorary amazons.”
The redhead’s eyes widened. “She can do that-?”
“I mean she is the Queen of the Amazons on this side of the pond, so-” the messenger replied, tapping her pen against her chin and looking up in thought.
“Wait, does that mean Tucker and Sam are honorary amazons too?” Jazz startled at the sudden sound of her brother’s voice coming from behind her. He was practically on top of her now, still looking half asleep but definitely awake now. She hadn’t even felt him move.
“Good morning, Lord Phantom!” Iris beamed at him from her spot on the ground among the still growing piles. “For what its worth, I think so, yes.”
Danny couldn’t help himself. He started cackling.
“Seriously, Danny?” She pursed her lips at him in disapproval.
“You don’t understand. They are going to flip, Jazz. Pandora can count me in.” He gushed, finally getting a hold of himself.
“She already did. Weren’t you listening to me, My Crown Prince?” Danny sighed.
“I did bubblegums. Sounds amazing.” her brother had already given her a nickname, or many for what she knew, so he probably had met the messenger before this. “So you were talking about some go-away gifts” Jazz sighed and rolled her eyes.
“They are called farewell gifts, Danny” jazz corrected.
“Whatever. It’s almost the same.” he waved his hand dismissively and looked down at what Iris had just laid down. “You got way too many things there. You are almost done or..? “
“Yep! I was actually just making time until you woke up.” She admitted sheepishly, lifting the last package that had come out of the bag and had been all by its lonesome amid the others and passing it along to the halfa. “Your Order is ready, Majesty!”
Jazz watched her brother extend a hand to take the package but his face reflected puzzlement at her words rather than excitement at finally receiving something he ordered.
“Direct from the FarFrozen and the Acropolis, Sir Casper!”
With those words, Danny seemed to snap wide awake, “already?” He didn’t waste any time in seating properly and opening the package. Jazz took the opportunity to peer into it.
“Jewelry?”
Danny jus hummed back in response and started examining the little jewelry box inside
“you ordered jewelry?” Jazz asked again, a little confused because even if his brother didn’t mind using the occasional accessory it was not like him to own them. Her brother —as well as herself — was more of a borrowing person “Ghostzone’s jewelry?”
“Yep.”
“why?”
“why not?” Jazz debated tackling him to the ground and tickling him until he talked, but considering they had company the redhead didn’t know very well yet and thus was not completely comfortable around, forcing Danny to spill the tea would have to wait.
The little shit probably knew it too and was openly smirking at her.
“hey, colorfalls?” Danny called to Iris
“Yes, winter pools?”
“Am I imagining things or this is way more than what I asked for?”
“The crafters outdid themselves, didn’t they? The Pan Queen said it happened because you ‘didn’t specify for shit so you better suck it up, brat.’ The Yeti-man said something too, but it was long and boring, so I forgot~” She ended sheepishly.
“Well, that’s helpful.”
“wouldn’t they have explained it in the letters?” Jazz offered, bringing his attention to the pair of envelopes under the probably-handcrafted box.
Danny grabbed them and grumbled. “Probably. But, ugh, reading.”
Jazz tried to snatch the letters from his hand. Danny dodged her lunge and moved the letters out of her reach.
“Thought you didn’t want to read them.” Jazz sassed.
“That I don’t want to do it, doesn’t mean I won’t do it. There is a difference, carrot cakes.”
“Well, get on with it then, cakesicle.”
They could have continued sniping at each other, as they were fully prepared to do so until Iris talked again.
“I better get going and leave you to it. Places to be, gossip to spread. You understand.” She declared with a playful smile and hopped up from the ground and attached her cloth bag to her hip again. “It was a pleasure to meet you, Miss Jasmine.”
She made her way to the window waving her goodbyes as she went, the siblings waved back a little entranced by the sway of her hair.
Danny looked thoughtful, he seemed unsure for a moment and ended up waiting until the last moment to call after her.
“Hey,” The girl turned around to raise an eyebrow at him in question. Danny smiled at her and pointed a finger towards her little cloth bag.
"Do you think I could get one of those?”
-.-.-.-
“Jazz”
“Yeah?”
“How long was she here for before I woke up?”
“She-” Jazz stopped herself and really thought about it. “I, I don’t actually now? I think she was already sitting on the window sill when I woke up”
Her brother had gone suddenly quiet, watching intently through the window Iris had just left.
“She has a- quite bubbly personality. Good to know there is someone like her around.” She offered, trying to break the tense silence that had enveloped them.
“I once saw her knock-out Walker from a single blow,” Danny replied, finally turning to look at his sister. Jazz’s eyes widened.
“She what?”
“He threatened the network.” Danny deadpanned. “One does not simply threaten the network, Jazz” he stressed, seemingly trying to make the importance of a network she didn’t know anything about very clear to Jazz.
“…That sounds really ominous.”
“She moves around human merchandise in the zone.” Danny explained, “She has- umm, I think you could say she has a thing for humans.”
“…”
“I’m not telling you this to make you wary of her.” Her brother said after the lack of a proper answer, carefully keeping eye contact with her. “Walker was being an ass, he deserved it. Jolly Beans is very helpful around the zone. Has even helped me with a pair of things. A real pal, she is. But-” Danny sighed and ran one of his hands through his hair in exasperation.
“Just- Just don’t mess with her gossip mags ”
-.-.-.-
“Hey, Danny?” She probed, going through one of the ‘care packages’ that had been sent to them, “Do you think the ghosts know humans don’t wear these types of clothing anymore? They are cute, but-”
“I’m going to tell them.”
“Don’t you dare.”
-.-.-.-

Me: Writes like 40 pages of this fic Also me: They are random scenes in different chapters and I’m still struggling to wrangle everyone into some sense of order and coherency.
The first twenty-something chapters already have titles and brief summaries so that’s something?? I can’t see the light at the end of this tunnel.
If you have ideas about things you would like to read about? Between the Bats and the DP Characters? Interactions and blabla? You can write them in the comments and I will see if I can fit some in :D
I have more or less decided where this is going, but I still need to enrich the chaps, SO, this might take a while. The good thing is that they will probably be way better now that I have Some Plot and I’m not just running blind all over the google doc.
-.-.-.-
Really, tho, if you have some headcanons about the characters? Bless. I need help with Steph and slightly less with Cass.
I have some plans for Cass. Steph is the one worrying me.

Sunglasses (One Shot)
~ ANGST ~
(Links to Fanfiction and AO3)
Danny heard it ringing, but he didn't want to get up.
"Five more minutes" he said, slamming the snooze button on the alarm clock and curling back into his comforter. It was Monday morning and he had been up all-night saving Amity Park. His friends didn't help him, so it took longer than usual to suck all the ghosts into the Fenton thermos.
After five minutes, the ringing began again. Danny punched the alarm clock and it flew into the wall, breaking into smaller pieces. "Well, there goes another one." he mumbled and shuffled towards his bathroom, dodging the mess of a floor.
Danny grabbed his toothbrush and toothpaste and began to brush his teeth with his eyes half closed. He looked into the mirror and almost spit out all the toothpaste in his mouth. He dropped his toothbrush and grabbed his hair and moaned. This cannot be happening.
His typical blue eyes shone his alter ego's bright green eyes. He was in human form, so it was impossible for his eyes to shine ectoplasmic green. He quickly washed his mouth and face, hoping it was just a figment of is imagination.
Nope. It was all real. His eyes were glowing! He had to go to school, someone was bound to notice.
He walked back into his room and realized he was going to miss walking to school with his best friends if he didn't get ready soon. He looked around his cluttered floor and found a newly washed pair of jeans and a white and red baseball tee near his bed. He quickly shoved them onto his body and pondered a solution for his "glowing" issue. He went over to his desk and dug through his drawer and found a pair of sunglasses. Guess this will have to do. He put the glasses on, grabbed his backpack and stuffed his unfinished homework into it, and ran down the stairs.
His mom was making toast in the kitchen while his dad was working on a new ghost invention in the living room. Ew, toast. He hated the dry taste of toast, even with something spread onto it. He quickly grabbed an apple and mumbled a goodbye to his parents and exited the house. His parents hadn't even glanced at, preoccupied with their tasks.
He jogged over to Tucker's, where the other two were waiting for their completion to the trio.
"You look like a dork. What's with the look? Need a leather jacket to complete that?" Sam mocked him as Tuck snickered next to her. Danny rolled his eyes and replied as they all began to walk towards their school.
"Ha ha, very funny. But this is serious. Look," he looked around to make sure no one was nearby and took of the sunglasses. His friends gasped, and Tuck even had to shield his eyes a bit to avoid the luminous shine.
"Dude, that's brighter than your normal ghost eyes. What happened?" Tuck questioned.
"I woke up and, poof, my eyes were glowing. I don't know what to do." Danny hastily put the sunglasses back on to block the gleam. He groaned in frustration. I don't need this now.
"Well, the glasses are the best solution for now. We can fix it after school, kay?" Sam tried to comfort Danny as she placed her hand behind his back.
"Ok, yeah. Thanks." Danny felt better and let out a sigh. They began to talk about the ghosts Danny had fought night, including Skulker, a ghost snake, and the Box Ghost 3 times. They then changed the conversation to their homework and Danny became quiet.
"You didn't do it, did you?" Sam asked.
"I didn't have time. You know, the usual." He shrugged.
"Danny! If your grade falls any more, it will be in the depths of hell! You won't be able to raise an F at this point." Sam threw her hands into the air in frustration.
"Chill Sam. My grades in all my other classes are fine. It's just Lancer's English that I need to fix." It was true. Danny had improved balancing his human and ghost life together after 3 years of fighting. His friends helped him with assignments and gave him notes he missed out on. He just had trouble focusing in English class, Lancer was a pretty boring lecturer.
"Whatever, but don't come crying to me when you fail junior year." Sam crossed her arms in annoyance and Tuck just chuckled at the two bickering.
"Lovebirds…" he muttered and received a smack across his head, courtesy of Sam. Tuck began to rub the back of his head and didn't regret saying it.
They finally reached the school and entered the double doors. Students were already roaming the halls, chatting with friends near the lockers. The each walked to their separate lockers, grabbed the items they needed, and converged back at Danny's locker.
Danny yawned, he wasn't looking forward to today. Before he could shut his locker, he was shoved into the wall and his face into his locker. He turned and was face to face with Dash. Danny had grown over the years and now was an inch shorter than Dash.
"What's up with the glasses Fentertainment? Wanted to fit in with the nerds?" (fun fact, this is my favorite insult by Dash) he spat as he grabbed Danny by the collar and pinned him to the wall.
"Let me go Dash. I just need to get to class." Danny could barely see through the sunglasses, but he did know Dash held a smug expression as he pushed Danny into the wall again.
"Whatever Fenturd." Dash said as he let Danny go, but before he could leave, he smacked the sunglasses off Danny's face. Danny immediately shut his eyes, hung his head down, and dropped to the floor, as if to search for the glasses. Tuck nearby gave Danny the glasses and helped his friend get up.
"Dash is a jerk. Its been three years, he needs to stop." Tuck said as they walked to Lancers. They entered the classroom and sat in their usual seats towards the back of the room.
Mikey and Lester were already situated in the front of the room, as usual. The trio began to compare the essays they wrote for English and helped Danny to get a start on his.
The bell rang five minutes later and students started to file in, with the A-listers completing the chain. They all sat down in their respective seats, A-listers and averagers in the middle, while nerds near the front of the classroom.
"Good morning class. Before we begin, I would like you all to turn in your assignments. Hand them to the front please." Lancer welcomed his class as the final bell rang.
Students shuffled through their backpacks and produced their assignments. Mr. Lancer maneuvered through the desks and grabbed students' papers. Picking up assignments as he went, he stopped at a particular student. Danny handed an unfinished crumpled sheet of paper and shrugged, mumbling a sorry.
"Mr. Fenton, this is inexcusable. This is the fifth assignment in a row you failed to accomplish." Lancer sighed, this kid would never understand. "I would like to see you after school in detention." But before he could walk on to pick up other students papers, he noticed the sunglasses upon Danny's face.
"Mr. Fenton, it is against school policy to wear sunglasses during school hours. I advise you to remove them immediately and I will keep them till the end of period." Lancer disciplined as he held out his hand.
"But –" Danny began and Lancer cut him off. "No buts. Please hand them over. And no remarks from you Ms. Manson." Lancer interjected as Sam was about to argue, she put her hand down in defeat. Danny hung his head, so his bangs covered his eyes and slowly took the sunglasses off. He hoped no one noticed the green glow on his desk.
Lancer took the glasses from Danny's hand and continued collecting the assignments. Danny tried to keep his head down as lancer passed by while students snickered at the exchange that just occurred.
"Ha Fentrash. What did I tell ya? Those glasses were dumb." Dash remarked as he swiveled back in his seat and lightly punched Danny in his arm. Other A-listers chuckled at the joke while Sam passed a note onto his desk. Its ok. Keep your head down. I'll think of something. Danny smiled, Sam always helped him, she always had his back.
The students turned back towards Mr. Lancer as he began his lecture. They all looked as though they were paying attention, but they couldn't care less. Dash was playing paper football with Kwan, Paulina was looking into a mirror, Star was on her phone, Valeria was looking at her wrist (no doubt containing her suit), and Mikey and Lester were reading some comic book.
10 minutes passed and Danny felt like sleeping. He couldn't focus on Lancer's lecture and it seemed as though his friends couldn't either. Tuck was on his PDA and Sam was doodling in her notebook. Would he even need to know how to rhetorically analyze to fight ghosts for the rest of his life? His dreams of being an astronaut all faded as he realized his grades would never achieve the level necessary for that field. He was depressed for a few days, but he realized Amity needed its hero to protect it more than it needed to send someone to space. Plus, Danny had already visited space and flew a space shuttle, it was really all the fulfillment he needed. He was abruptly broken from his daydream by his last name.
"Mr. Fenton, if you believe in breaking your neck, then continue to look at your phone under your desk. Otherwise, please look forward." Lancer interrupted his own lecture. Danny sighed, I'm not on my phone, jeez. Danny rapidly moved his bangs to cover his eyes and looked up. The glow shone through his shaggy raven hair, he just hoped no one noticed.
"Danny?" This time, Lancer didn't respond. Valerie did. Oh shit.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Valerie understood what was happening. She had listened to the Fenton's lecture about ghosts last year, so she knew this was not Danny.
When one was possessed, their eye color changes. Danny typically had blue eyes, but now they were green. Green and glowing. Conclusion...
 he was possessed.
"Danny don't move!" She grabbed her backpack and shuffled through its contents. Where's a damn weapon when you need one?! She opened the front pocket of her backpack and found her newest addition from Vlad. Yes, this will do it.
Vlad had continued to give her new weapons and equipment, even though she knew he was a lying, backstabbing, evil, what did Phantom call him? Fruitloop. He recently had dropped a box off at her apartment with tons of new goodies to try out. And here, an opportunity arose.
Ghost weapons didn't hurt humans, so Danny would be fine, while the ghost possessing him would suffer.
"I'll save you Danny! Everyone, stand back." Valerie jumped out of her seat and crept towards Danny.
"N-no you don't understand Val. P-please." Danny slowly rose his hands, got out of his seat, and backed away towards the end of the classroom. Students near Danny got out of their seats and headed towards the front of the room, except for Sam and Tucker.
"Ms. Gray, what is the meaning of this? Mr. Fenton, remove whatever contraption you have that's making your eyes glow." Lancer spoke as he started to walk towards the two.
"Mr. Lancer, Danny's possessed. Look at his eyes!" she said as she turned back towards Danny and lifted her gun to his face. Danny, don't let the ghost scum take over. I'll help you get it out." She cocked her gun and fired.
The screaming was the worst. She had never heard anyone release such a pain filled scream in her lifetime. Everyone in the room covered their ears to rid themselves of the torturous noise. It felt like the agony of her classmate had lasted a lifetime. When the noise did stop, it was only because something was blocking his mouth.
The blast had covered his face and was slowly spread its tendrils throughout his body, encompassing him in an electrified shock. His face could barely be seen, except his eyes, but they glowed an even brighter green than before. His hands were on his face and he was slouched in a tormenting position.
The weapon was designed to produce a net that would electrocute ghosts. She didn't know that all this would happen. It's just the ghost screaming. Danny's fine. He's not hurt. He’s…
"Valerie! What did you do!" She saw Sam shout next to her. Sam wore a shocked, but pained expression. Her voice was filled with rage and she looked ready to slap Valerie across the face.
"H-he was possessed! This weapon would get the ghost out. It-its electrocution." Valerie stammered. This time, Sam didn't hold back. She smacked the gun out of Valerie's hand with a furious expression across her face. It was as if the devil itself was holed up within this gothic teen. I wouldn't be surprised.
Valeri’s arm throbbed in pain as a reddish mark in the shape of a hand started to form. Following her display of rage, Sam ran up to Danny, but instantly backed away after receiving a slight shock from touching him. She looked so helpless, as did Tuck who had gotten out of his seat.
"Tuck, what's happening?" Valerie pleaded. She couldn't take the torture of watching her fellow classmate and ex-boyfriend in agony. She cared for Danny, whether he knew it or not.
Danny had now fallen to his knees, his knuckles white from gripping his hair so roughly. He looked an inhumane shade of pale, but the blast had now covered almost all of his body, so it was even hard to see his skin.
Other students whispered with each other, she heard the jokes and taunts, as if they didn't care a single bit for their classmate. Mr. Lancer was silent, as he just stared at his student.
"Valerie, he-he, what-what did you do?" Tuck finally spoke up out of the somewhat silence. His beret was in his hands, as he fidgeted with it and his expression filled with sorrow. Danny was now crippled on the floor, curled with his knees up to his chin. And then it all stopped.
The pink tendrils that had encased Danny evaporated into the air rapidly and left a tortured teen. Tears flowed down his face as it displayed pure pain and formed a puddle on the floor.
"Danny!" Sam, Tucker, and Valerie all called at once and ran up to the raven-haired boy. They picked him up and took in his appearance. He looked as he normally did, other than the huge blast mark that had created a massive hole in his shirt and the tears. He wiped them away quickly, Danny never cries, and then unexpectedly started coughing.
"Mr. Fenton are you alright?" Lancer spoke for the first time with concern etched all over his face. He walked over to the four and placed his palm on Danny's back. He was still coughing. Coughing, coughing, coughing. And then there was blood. It dribbled out of his mouth and onto his shirt.
"Sorry." He slurred. He couldn't even stand on his own and needed the help of his best friends, who grabbed his arms to stabilize him.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
He couldn't feel his legs. He couldn't feel anything. All that went through his mind was death by electrocution. He couldn't think. He couldn't act. It was the worst pain he had ever felt in his life.
And the coughing. He couldn't stop. It kept coming, and coming, and coming and…
Where was he? Right, Lancer's English.
His chest ached. He -he couldn't feel the ice-cold feeling of his core. Either it was so far within him or it wasn't there at all. He wanted to run, he wanted to flee. But he couldn't move. His knew his friends were holding him up. However, they didn't know what he went through. Who would?
Mr. Lancer placed his hand lightly on Danny's back. Ouch, everything hurt. At least, he thought it was Lancer. He could barely see through his blurry vision.
"Ms. Manson and Mr. Foley, would you please take Mr. Fenton to the nurse? He doesn't look too good."
"You think a nurse could help him! He-he could have died!" Sam exclaimed towards Lancer and shot a sharp glance at Valerie. Danny knew her grudge against the Red Huntress would only grow from here.
"What else do you suggest Ms. Manson? The nurse will call the hospital if his situation is critical." Lancer sounded like he was begging, as though he didn't know the true answer.
"Well," Sam grunted trying to stabilize Danny. Was he heavy? Her frail frame could barely hold up a 17 year old boy. "For starters, we can't carry him. He's to heavy. And he should go home, he's not in a condition to think."
"Ok," Lancer replied and then pointed to Dash and Kwan "Mr. Baxter, Mr. Ishiyama, can you please help Mr. Fenton get to the nurse?" Dash grimaced and Kwan rolled his eyes. Danny heard one of them mutter 'freak'. Probably Dash.
Danny's vision started to fixate, and he could see more clearly now. Dash and Kwan had grabbed him under his arms and were lifting him. They exited the classroom and went into the hall, heading left towards the nurse.
"Wait," Danny quickly said and let go of the jocks. He stood up trying to balance, but his legs were literal jello. He tried to tap into his ghost powers and use his ability to fly to give him the appearance of walking but -
"Hey! Frea-" Dash was cut off by a scream. Lancer slammed the door and rushed out.
It hurt. Pain. DEATH. ELECTROCUTION, ELECTROCUTION, ELECTROCUTION…
It all hit him at once. Danny was back on the floor, flinging his arms out to grab ahold of something. He stopped screaming, but he convulsed. He was shaking, shaking, shaking. It didn't feel right, and then… Danny felt nothing at all. Pure bliss.
Danny opened his eyes. Where am I? This wasn't home. This wasn't… anything. Everything was a blinding white. It was good. He felt good.
Until he realized he was alone.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Sam ran out of the classroom. She knew what she heard, and it wasn't good. Tuck and Valerie followed her as she followed Lancer. Her combat boots clacked against the polished floor into the hall.
The sight almost broke her heart.
Danny was on the floor screaming as the two doofuses stared at him. And then the screaming stopped as suddenly as it came.
But it got worse.
He was shaking. SEIZURE shaking. Sam and Tuck raced up to him as Valerie stayed back, a hand clamping her mouth shut. Other students rushed out to see commotion.
Sam crouched down and tried to comfort him, soothe his arm. It will be alright. Please be alright Danny. I need you. Tears threatened to fall down Sam's face as she glanced at Tucker. Tucker was staring intensely at Danny, his face expressing mixed emotions. He also stroked Danny with the care of a brother.
Danny looked like death. His skin a sickly pale, eyes wide and glazed over, blood rushing out of his mouth and creating a puddle by their feet. And then there was a flash.
He transformed. His raven hair became white, ripped shirt and jeans replaced by the iconic black and white jumpsuit, but the eyes stayed the same. They were already green anyways.
Students gasped. Whispers ran through the halls furiously as students from other classes joined the depressing situation. Sam didn't care if anyone knew his secret. She had actually pressured Danny into revealing his secret several times, she wanted him to receive the credit he earned from this town. Although they would figure out in the most horrific way.
Valerie had slowly crept up to Danny as he shook, hot tears running down her face. Her arms hugged herself for warmth, for comfort. Sam sent her signature death glare towards the African American girl. She made a mistake, but she was going to pay.
Then the shaking stopped.
"Danny?" Sam questioned in a croaked voice.
He turned towards her and whispered "Im sorry." As he grabbed Sam's hand and squeezed with little effort. And then he was gone.
gone
gOnE
GONE
His body turned to dust, particles floated into the air as they slipped through Sam's fingers. Sam screamed. She didn't know how long she screamed, but her throat ached when no more sound came out. Tucker was pouring tears next to her, his hands covering his eyes.
Sam whipped her head towards Valerie and croaked "He died by ELECTROCUTION, Valerie. ELECTROCUTIION..." then barely an audible whisper, "You killed him..."

Note
In the future, how do you think the trio's personality has changed? Is there a way you wished they could change from cannon but you don't think would actually happen? What about the worst way they could change? The best? I just love talking about characters personality and stuff and I'm intrigued to hear your opinion?
Sorry for putting this off for so long! I wanted to take some time to really think about this.
It really depends on how far in the future we’re talking. Since I don’t know that, I’ll have to be a bit more vague. Hopefully that’s okay.
I think Danny’s probably the most obvious. Over the course of the series, he gains more confidence and self-respect, and after even more time and getting out of high school, I think that would continue. I see Danny as a much more confident, happy person in the future. He’s had more time to adjust to things, likely had more experiences that help him to see himself in a better light (whether it’s the support of his friends and sister or his parents accepting him. One way or another.) I’d also like if he didn’t have to fight ghosts nearly as often. That probably won’t happen in the hands of those who currently own the rights, but I’d like things to mellow out with time and for Danny to be able to pursue his own dreams.
Sam acts really confident and sure of herself, but she’s probably the one of the three who projects a certain image the most. In the future, I’d hope she’d get more comfortable in her own skin. She wouldn’t need to rag on other girls as much. Sure, she’d still get annoyed by certain things, but she’d be a lot wiser, so she could let them roll off her back easier. I don’t think she’d get angry as much as she did as a kid. Her relationship with her parents would be a bit better, though they may never get her. Her style would mellow out a bit more. Overall, she’d just be a much more relaxed person. She could still kick ass, though, and she wouldn’t back down from a fight. She’d just be better about picking her battles. I’d also like to think she can use her words a lot better. She was great at talking herself out of trouble, especially later in the show. She’d need to throw fewer insults and instead use little bluffs and some sly manipulation to get what she needs. I think she’d be the type of person who’d get involved in politics and law a lot. Not as a politician or anything, but because she cares about justice and rights and wants to fight for causes and such.
I think Tucker would probably change the least, because he was the quickest to become comfortable in his own skin. He’d probably grow out of his constant flirting with girls, though, and he’d become a bit more professional with the things he works on and creates. Still a goof, of course, but he’s not as clumsy with his inventions and he knows how to talk to people and get them to listen better. I can see him taking sort of a Fenton route and creating his own brand. He’d just focus more on software and computers than ghost hunting. I can see him developing a ton of programs. Some of them he’d sell, others he’d keep for personal use. He’d probably be out and about less than the other two. Not that he’d become a hermit or anything, but Sam’s trying to better the world and Danny’s got goals he wants to achieve. Tucker’s pretty much got everything he needs at his fingertips. He’d probably mostly work from home and just follow Sam and Danny around to where they needed to go.
Honestly, if the series got a continuation right now, I think the focus would probably be more on the superhero angle, so a lot of this would probably not actually happen, but it’s what makes the most sense to me.
Worst case scenario...well, I think TUE showed us that, but you probably mean aside from TUE. Honestly, I guess it’d just be the kids growing to focus their entire lives around ghost fighting. That would require them to kind of crush who they really are under foot for “the greater good” and forget about their hopes and dreams. They could still do what they’re good at, for the most part, and they could probably convince themselves that they’re content, but years in the future I think they’d really regret not doing what made them happy. Danny, in particular, would eventually become a completely different person. People do change, of course, but I think forcing change for people other than yourself is unhealthy, and I want these kids to be happy.
