Medicine cabinet; five most recent in contact list.

frost's medicine cabinet
notes: i'll be highlighting her must-haves only. louise rarely catches the flu because of her metahuman condition to absorb heat. however, she's not immune to mental scars and needs to maintain her other bodily functions.
fluoxetine. she regularly takes these every morning. louise does suffer from long-term PTSD and depression. taking fluoxetine makes it a little easier to endure the pain
temazepam. this helps deal with her insomnia. she regularly takes these once per night to help relieve stress and maintain her sleep cycle. louise was prescribed with this medication after crystal's death
first aid-kit. louise has the ability to treat small cuts and bruises but nothing too complicated like stitching gaping wounds. the first aid-kit contains hydrogen peroxide, tweezers, scissors, bandages, band-aids, antibacterial ointment, gauze ect ect.
ibuprofen. for headaches only. mostly takes this during the day before approaching her work
nicotine patch, lozenge and varenicline. these are widely known as quit-smoking medicines and at some point, she did manage to drop her terrible smoking habits
tampons. self explanatory...
five most recent in frost's contact list
notes: louise gives nicknames for almost everyone. some can be downright insulting, endearing or simply shorting their name to save some time depending on her relationship with these characters. i'll be adding their contact list like this: contact name / alias / relationship status.
old man / multiplex / mentor and father figure. louise would never in a million years say this but she does consider danton to be the father she wanted to enable her terrible actions. the term 'old man' can be mistaken for a insult but she uses it as a indirect way of calling him a 'father' but only in text messages. he's the one who keeps her updated on T.A.B's activities if she's not present
trixie / trickster / younger brother figure. louise always called axel 'trixie' because it annoyed him and he always complained it was a girl's name. they have the typical sibling dynamic of bullying each other just for fun, but if someone else joined in? louise and axel would've joined forces and told the other person off. he would always call her up to crash at her place whenever he gets kicked out of the rogues or invite frost over to their heist missions
betty / plastique / close friend. they became metahumans on the same day, shared a common enemy and the same jail cell. louise had already considered bette her friend because they've caused riots and broken out of prison. betty is her number one ride-or-die partner for duo missions. they call each other up scheme and have brunch on the same exact day
floyd / deadshot / close friend. out of respect, louise always called deadshot by his real name. to my knowledge—she never pinned a proper nickname for him. they're partners in crime in the old days and stayed in contact whenever they can and when they do get the chance to hang out, they're always sighted in villain bars and parties. sometimes they end up getting partnered together for classified missions
cal / the calculator / professional. if louise has enough money to pay for forbidden information? then the calculator is her go-to-guy. she once paid him to track down an obscure villain for her and saved her the time and resources in no time flat. the only downside to this is that he's super pricey with his services and only calls calculator up for emergencies

❛A DEVIL'S FINEST TRICK IS TO PERSUADE YOU THAT HE DOES NOT EXIST.❜
Tumblr media
Dámianus took in a breath when he heard the familiar, annoying footsteps stomping forward. With haste, came the familiar, annoying voice. "Can you believe it?!"
Breathing in, it took his full strength to keep a leveled tone, not show his annoyance. "Believe what?"
His brother scowled, as if he was the idiot present. "They failed!"
"Pity." Was all Dámianus could think to say. He had to hide his smile upon hearing the news. He had an act to keep. "They must have not followed the plan, I did give them detailed instructions after all."
"How are you so apathetic?!" Makjo scoffed, eyes rolling. "That's our father—"
"Your father." Dámianus corrected. "You are his son, I am his errand boy."
"Oh wow, its a misery you proved yourself capable and he saw your potential!" Makjo mockingly threw back, going as far to make a fake, crying gesture to accompany his words.
Dámianus, however, quick to smile, tilted his head to the side. "Oh, does that mean he saw no potential in you?"
It was worth it, to watch the brat's features scrunch and his face to go red. A finger raised, and going to bite back. "You—"
Already walking off, Dámianus tucked the parchment beneath his arm. "I suppose I will go meet with our allies and see what went wrong." Casually he spoke, striding forward, leaning down, pecking his brother's cheek, and using the opportunity to quietly whisper, "Don't grow too comfortable. Many people will come for your crown." Before Makjo could reply, he had already taken his leave, to find better company he could tolerate.
At least the brat was an idiot. He had yet to see through everything. He had slipped up with their father, the bastard caught on at the last second. He barely corrected that.. But he had no doubt with Makjo, the brat would never see anything coming... still. He needed to be more careful if all were to be successful.

♧ Brief Backstory:
The eldest of Rihtyxr's hundreds of children, Dámianus always served closer as an errand boy than a son. He grew up fast, without the choice of a childhood, to take care of his siblings. Early on, he accepted his role in the family and gracefully handled the responsibilities thrusted onto him. The older— maturer— he became, the more he would distant himself form his family and those family ties. He treated his family like colleagues and allies and not a family.
Only by the influence of Jitka and Isfétte would Dámianus finally accept his gifts and natural talent as a mastermind, and one manipulative son of a bitch. With their assistance and guidance, he would hone his talent to have power over them. When he finally held a strong belief in himself, he set himself to the task of consuming power. Slowly, he turned the allies of his family against them, buying their loyalty to serve him.
With the dependence the family held on him to make their plans and ensure their survival, he was able to trick them. He fooled them into going to war with Khaalida, and trapped them under her watch. The power vacuum was his for the taking... But he decided to play the long game. He allowed his siblings to fight for the power, and he accompanied his cousin— G'javinizia — on his travels across the multi-verse for a time. To further his own knowledge and powers.
When he finally became confident in himself once more, he returned. He got his old allies in line and began to form new ones. And soon, he finally began to get involved in the affair of Viogia to plant his influence. When his influence was sewn deep, Dámianus created his human guise and entered, to act first hand and began inacting the plans he had started so long ago.

♧ Some fun facts!
• He has a pet cat named Grumpy, it's based off a displacer beast!
• He takes a shot of whiskey every time one of his idiots does something stupid.
• He's a man that just wants a vacation at this point, somewhere nice and quiet, a distant beach, without responsibilities.
• He says he doesn't like children, but if given the opportunity he'd probably adopt an entire orphanage or seventy.
• The only people he will possibly listen to, to get him to back down from doing something, is Jitka and Isfétte.
• He knows how to hold a grudge. It doesn't matter how many years it takes, he'll get payback... In an extreme fashion that is probably unwarranted in that degree.
• Given the chance, he would kill 96% of his siblings and family...
• Although he's the source of major chaos in the universe, he cares deeply for order and rules.
• In public he will dress in tailcoats, but as long as he's home he prefers to wear a variety of kimonos.
• The only way you can upset him is by: mentioning Rons'ta in his presence, favoring his siblings in his presence, dissing his nanny, being disrespectful towards women when he's around, hurting and/or belittling children and animals in his presence. And then, and only then, he'll kill you without remorse!

Hi! I have a Cryptage prompt, if you're still taking them, because my writing brain appears to be taking the day (week? month? year??) off. Basically crypto feeling insecure about how many adoring fans Mirage has, and not being able to be comfortable with other people telling Mirage that they're "in love" with him. :)
Oh, hello there!! I'm always taking prompts!! And, yeah, I feel that. Lol. I'll gladly take your prompt, though!! Thank you!!!
--
Park didn't belong in the spotlight for a multitude of reasons: he was terse, quiet, preferred his privacy, and was just uncomfortable with it in general. Crypto wasn't meant for the limelight in general—he was to be a mysterious character with little care for interviews and what his fans said about him.
Elliott, however, thrived on the attention, Mirage a prime example of someone made to live with all eyes on him. He was spectacular in the ring and able to charm his adoring public, all bright smiles and dazzling moves. His fans were eager to show their love for Elliott, Park noticed, one afternoon the two were spending together.
Elliott was reading some fan mail whilst Park was busying himself drawing on the trickster's arm, sleeve rolled up and intricate patterns marked along the tanned canvas, flowers and cats occasionally tossed into the mix. Elliott never minded. They always reminded him of really cool tattoos, and he didn't want to get any anytime soon, so he was fine with Park just drawing all over him (even if it was a pain to clean off later).
However, the hacker's curious gaze couldn't help but shift towards the letter currently in hand. It was from some female fan that had been watching Elliott ever since his first year of competing. There were a lot of sweet comments, about how he helped her move on from toxicity in her life, and that his smile was enough to make her a happier woman. He could see Elliott smiling as well; improving someone's life must make him joyful.
But Park didn't miss the confession near the very bottom, the typical "I'm in love with you." Elliott apparently received the phrase a lot—and not just counting the night they got together. For someone like Elliott, love never came easy, despite his desperate attempts to find someone to use all of that love in his heart on, to find someone to dedicate his existence to. Some people could be heartless, treating him like a ticket into a better life, and others abused him emotionally to get what they wanted. He had to grow thicker skin, learn from his mistakes, before he truly sought out someone that made his world worthwhile. Park commended his confidence and bravery. He's never been in relationships before, but leaving toxic ones must take a lot out of one mentally and emotionally.
Still, rereading that letter, the constant praises and adoration, the love for Mirage and everything he does, caused a feeling far too familiar to the man to wash over his mind, normally hectic thoughts beginning to run wild. Park wasn't one for letting insecurities bother him, but it seemed they, like a lot of things, made him feel uneasy, unhappy.
Elliott folded the letter with one hand, setting it aside, before pulling another one from his pile, this time temporarily taking the hacker's canvas away to rip the envelope open, arm returning to its prior stationary position. Again, though Park had tried to focus on drawing, his eyes drifted over the letter, though he wish he hadn't, as this fan appeared to be less shameful with their desires. He's sure, if Elliott peeked at him, he'd be flushed pink.
This time, though, the confession was within the first three paragraphs, third sentence of the second one. "I love you so much. I want to live my life with you," he read, frowning. People clamoring over themselves to be with Elliott—it was almost pitiful, but, then again, he didn't expect much from fans. Even his own can be a bit rowdy, though they appear much more mellow compared to his partner's.
The trickster didn't smile this time, just folding and tossing the letter aside without much change in expression. Another letter was opened up, arm returning to Park (even though he's become far too distracted to even think about drawing right now), and began reading the next one.
Once again, a love confession could be seen in the final paragraph, though it was far more poetic than simply "I'm in love with you." She had taken time writing this, it seemed, pouring her heart out on paper to this complete stranger she only knows via the television.
"Every waking day without seeing you is a strike to my heart. Your smile is radiance, and your very being is joy. My desire for you goes beyond physical, a wish to see within your heart, to let our souls intertwine in a dance for only us to see. I want everything you are, everything you'll ever be."
Elliott's fans really were adoring, if that was anything to go by. Park wasn't jealous by any means—frankly, were he to receive such letters, he can only see himself tearing them up and throwing them out. Elliott would scold him, saying someone put a lot of work into those, and Park would retort with: "They should spend time sending those types of letters to someone whose name they actually know."
That same feeling earlier returned, insecurity gnawing at his heart. Dour expression crossing his visage, his hand released Elliott's, marker pulled away, immediately alerting the other. Curious, the trickster reached out to poke the other's cheek, downcast eyes now moving to meet his own.
"Hey sweetheart, something on your mind?" he asked, hand dropping to place itself on the other's shoulder, an attempt at reassurance.
"… No."
Elliott raised a brow. "So you just look super depressed just 'cause?"
"… Yes."
A soft snort escaped Elliott, tossing the letter aside and moving to wrap an arm around the smaller's shoulders. "You and I know that's bullshit. Come clean and I won't get the information through other means."
The dangerous wiggling of his fingers was enough to tell Park just how he'd "gather information."
"Fine. But promise not to be mad at me…?"
"I don't think I could ever be mad at you, sugar pie. Probably a biological thing."
Park released a breath, head moving to lean on Elliott's shoulder. "I was… reading the letters your fans sent you…"
"… Is… Is that it? 'Cause, if it is, I think we need to have a talk about what makes you feel guilty and why it's dumb."
Park scoffed, though it was more amused than annoyed. "No, that's not it. But… you have a lot of… caring fans."
"Emphasis on 'caring' makes me think you might be meaning a different word entirely."
"They're affectionate… and kind… and they say nice things about you…"
"… Are you… jealous—? Have I not been saying enough nice things about you?"
"No, no, you say enough—probably too much, actually. But, no, I just… I don't think I like your fans saying how much they love you. It makes me think, one day, they'll make you feel more loved than I do…"
Elliott couldn't wipe the shock from his expression, immediately unwrapping his arm from Park's shoulders to place his hands on them instead, turning him so he was now face-to-face. The hacker's gaze had fallen once again, dourly staring at the copious amounts of love letters Elliott received on a daily basis.
In the end, that's all they were to him—just letters. They never amounted to the smile he got to see everyday, the gentle kisses and careful touches, the sweet feeling of his beloved's hands in his own, and nothing could ever amount to the three little words Park so seldom uttered, the way his cheeks would tinge pink and the sheepish tone that replaced his confident, cool one.
He couldn't imagine trading any of that for empty words spoken by fans.
"Hey, angel? Who do you know me as?" he asked.
"… I suppose I know you as Elliott."
"And who do my fans know me as?"
"I… I guess they only know you as Mirage."
"They get to see that persona of me, the fake me."
Elliott's hands began sliding down Park's arms, tracing gently over the smooth skin, feeling the change between real and synthetic skin, before gently grasping his hands in his own.
"They see the smile I wear when I don't want people knowing what I'm feeling. They see me acting cool and confident, and they don't ever see Elliott, the guy who just wants to own a bunch of dogs and has as many insecurities as he does kills in the arena."
Park's hands were raised now, Elliott craning his neck just a bit to press kisses to the knuckles, smiling at the other, who was beginning to look less and less dour and more surprised by the trickster's words.
"You get to see me, Elliott Witt, the guy who drools on your hoodies and accidentally chews on your hair because he thinks it's cotton candy."
That broght forth a laugh from the hacker, trying to pull a hand away from Elliott's to cover it, but the trickster was adamant in seeing his smile, hearing his laugh.
"And I get to see you in all your own dorky glory."
"I'm not dorky. You just bring out the weird in people," Park responded through his fit of giggles, any trace of sadness or insecurity having faded from his visage, only replaced by mirth and joy.
"That, I do." Elliott smiled and leaned in to press a kiss to Park's forehead. "I'd never leave you, pancake. You're the only person on the Frontier who would still love me even after hearing about all my baggage. I'm a mess, but I've never heard you complain."
"Maybe when you're drooling on me."
Elliott smiled, chuckling. "Yeah, you do complain about that a lot."
"But, even if you drool on me, I still… love you."
"And I love you too, darling."

(y/n)’s POV
The sound of metal grinding against stone wasn’t something most people would describe as calming. The heavy breaths of the sword in your hands as it got sharper and neater with every drag across the stone. For you it was the most calming sound in the nine realms. It was consistent, smooth, beautiful.
It was rare for a girl to be a blacksmith but you couldn’t imagine doing anything else. You fell in love with the anvil the day you saw it for the first time in your father’s workshop. Your father was one of the most famous blacksmiths in all of Asgard. Nobody was able to produce weapons with such grace, such stability and balance. Nobody – except for you.
When you were younger people would often joke that you were secretly half dwarf and that’s why you were so skilled in producing weapons. But as you got older (and prettier) they quickly stopped this kind of comparison. But you weren’t just a talented young blacksmith you were also quite gifted in using the weapons that you made, your favorite being by far the sword.
One day you were training behind your father’s workshop when someone suddenly called behind you, “Do you mind a training partner?”
You turned around to see Lady Sif, a regular at your father’s forge and with the time you had become good friends.
“Sure!” you called back. “If you think you can catch up with me.” She smiled and made a couple of steps towards you when suddenly she pulled her own sword out of seemingly thin air. But you were faster and quickly parried her blade with your own.
“Surprise attack?” you asked. “Come on Sif, you’re better than that!”
“I only just begun!”
The two of you were dancing across the field. The only sounds being your heavy breaths and the clinking of your swords in the air. For some time it looked like Sif was coming out on top. It was no secret that she was the stronger warrior out of the two of you. But you had more stamina. All you had to do was make her tired to win.
It was exhausting and difficult to block all of her blows but you managed to do it! And soon enough you sensed that her strength was leaving her. Now was your time to attack and with some well-aimed blows you brought her down, taking her sword off of her.
“Not bad,” Sif complimented. “But don’t think I don’t know what you just did there. Tiring me out, what an uncreative move!”
“But it worked, didn’t it?” you said smiling triumphantly at her and reached out a hand to help her up. She took it but instead of pulling herself up she pulled you down to her level, laughing loudly when you were landing next to her with your face in the grass.
“Hey! That was an uncreative move!”
“But it worked, didn’t it?”
You two were laughing along with each other. Soon you decided to get up and get something to drink. You were nibbling on your cup of water when Sif suddenly asked you a suspicious question.
“Do you think you’ll ever come to one of our missions again?”
In the past you had tagged along some of her missions with the Warrior Three, Thor and Loki but – how could one describe this – they never turned out quite the way you had expected. And for the most part that was due to Loki’s shenanigans.
“I’m not sure,” you answered. “You know how all the other missions turned out. I don’t want to experience something like that again. Remember that one time Loki transformed me into a pig?”
Sif tried to hide her smile but failed miserably. “Yes, I do. But come on, (y/n)! I’ll be stuck with five guys on an mostly uninhabited planet for the nornes know how long! All that testosterone will drive me crazy!”
You gave her a sly smile. “Oh, will it?”
“You know how I meant that!” Sif said quickly. You shook off the mischief in your mind and rolled your eyes. “Will Loki be there?”
“Yes, of course.”
“You know he hates me!” you said. “All the other missions before he either made his jokes about me or actively put me in danger just for his entertainment.”
“Don’t worry about Loki. He’s a trickster. I’ll be there to take care of you!”
“You were there the last times too,” you reminded her.
“Yeah, but I wasn’t actively looking out for you back then. This time it will be different. I promise.” She looked at you with honest pleading eyes. You sighed.
“You won’t give up until I say yes, won’t you?”
Sif just shrugged and took another sip of her water. “You know how stubborn I can be.”
“Unfortunately you are right,” you a said in defeat. “Fine, I’ll come with you.”

(y/n)’s POV
Just a couple of days later the mission was supposed to start. Heimdall would send you with the bifrost to the planet of Kamir; a planet completely covered in thick jungle with very few lakes in between as the only from of on the surface accessible water source on the whole planet. Apparently grew on this planet a very special flower that could grant the person who eats it immense power. Your mission was it to find and destroy the plant because Odin had decided that it was better to get rid of it than take the risk of any enemies finding it. The flower was still very small and not big enough for harvesting which was why now was the only possible time to destroy it once and for all before it was too late.
“Are you ready?” asked Sif and bumped you with her elbow. “Heimdall said that Kamir has really high temperatures so you better not wear too many layers.”
“Yeah I know,” you said and put on your sword belt. You looked over at Sif who was wearing her full battle armor and frowned.
“Not taking your own advice?”
“I’m rather safe than sorry,” she said with a shrug.
“Safe?” you asked, suddenly insecure. “I thought the planet was uninhabited?”
“Mostly,” she corrected. “Some creatures live there but they aren’t really far developed. They are savage creatures without language or any other sign of intelligent life. Basically beasts. And I don’t know about you but beasts attack and I don’t plan on just letting them attack me.”
“That is a good argument,” you said and put on a vest made out of thick leather. Very hard to rip with teeth or inferior weapons.
After you had collected all your stuff the both of you rode on horses to the place where all of you had decided to meet up. Thor and Loki were already there waiting.
Thor was greeting you with a smile, Mjolnir in his hand. Loki on the other hand looked exactly how you felt. Not very excited and a little grumpy. His arms were crossed and he stood with his body turned slightly away from your small group.
“Perfect, you are already here,” said Thor. He nodded respectfully in your direction. “Lady (y/n), I’m thankful that you will be joining us. We can use a good fighter like you.”
You smiled at him. “Why, thank you Thor. I’m glad to be here.” …kinda, you added in your mind with a look at Loki.
You actually didn’t know why he hated you so much. When you first got introduced the two of you got along quite well. You had a similar sense of humor (although you drew the line at putting people in danger, unlike him) and you enjoyed his presence. But then on your first mission that took longer than just a quick trip he started acting differently and made no secret out of his dislike for you. But you wouldn’t let his change in behavior bring you down. Two could play this game.
Thor and Loki climbed on their horses to be on eye level with you and Sif.
“Do we already know where on the planet this goddamn plant is growing?”she asked.
“Not really,” said Loki coldly. “Heimdall said, that they were able to limit it’s location to a 1000 meter radius but within that we have no idea where it is. If we’re lucky we find it immediately. And if not we could be stuck on there for days.” He gave you a dirty look, like it was suddenly your fault that they didn’t know where the plant was exactly growing. But you were used to this behavior and although it annoyed the hell out of you, you were able to ignore it with an eye roll.
Just a couple of moments later that were filled with Thor and Sif discussing strategies and Loki glaring daggers at you the other three arrived.
“I’m sorry that we are late,” said Fandral. “But someone just had to pack half of Asgards food supply.”
“You made me responsible for the meals. I’m taking my job seriously!” Volstagg replied in his defense. Thor and Lady Sif laughed at their friends and even Loki couldn’t suppress a small smile.
Fandral spotted you and came over with his horse. “Lady (y/n), such a pleasure to have you with us today.” He took your hand and placed a tender kiss on the back of it. Your cheeks flushed a little red. Loki sighed annoyed. “Can we finally go? I wasn’t planing on waiting here until the flower finds itself.”
Yikes.
“Let’s better not keep the princess waiting any longer, shall we?” you said smugly and rode past Loki. All you heard from his was a gasp and something he mumbled under his breath, that made Thor shout a scandalized, “Loki! That’s not how you talk about a lady!”
“Stop treating me like a child!”
“Stop acting like one!” Thor massaged the root of his nose and sighed. “Oh brother, what have we become that I’m the voice of reason?”
The Warrior Three and Lady Sif snickered about the brothers while you were all making your way across the rainbow bridge towards Heimdall’s observatory.
“You are late,” he said upon their arrival. He was standing in front of the entrance, his face stoic and not showing any bits of what he was thinking, or seeing.
“Yeah, apologies, Volstagg was-”
“I know,” he interrupted Fandral’s excuse. “Now come, we need to hurry.”
They all got off their horses and followed Heimdall into the observatory. “Alright, I hope you all prepared accordingly. It will be hot so don’t wear or carry too much! Only take the absolute necessary! But make sure that you take as much water with you as possible! It won’t be easy to access on Kamir.”
“What? I thought there were big lakes?” asked Sif. “Why can’t we just refill our water there?”
“You can’t trust the lakes,” Heimdall said sternly. “They are cursed. They’re full of loreley.”
Sif immediately understood but you were still confused.
“Loreley?” you asked.
“Water spirits. Mermaids,” Sif explained. “They are capable of telepathy and can see your deepest darkest desires, some you might not even be aware of yourself. Then they shape-shift into them to lure you into their arms so that they can pull you into your wet death.” You nodded, finally understanding.
Loki clicked with his tongue. “She doesn’t know anything. She will only hold us up.”
“Loki,” warned Sif sharp. “If I hear another stupid comment from you I’ll make sure you’ll be the one staying behind. Her knowledge of natural materials and combat will be a lot more useful than your stupid magic tricks!” And with that Sif actually managed it to make Loki shut up.
They all walked over to get ready for Heimdall to open the bifrost. Heimdall himself walked over to his pedestal, his sword in his hands.
“Good luck,” he said before ramming his sword down and opening the streaming energy with it. And in the next moment the companions got sucked into its force, traveling the great distance from Asgard to Kamir.
But something must’ve gone wrong because instead of landing all standing up looking like the warriors you were you all just landed awkwardly on top of each other.
“Volstagg, get off of me!” screamed Sif.
“That’s not me!” Volstagg called back.
“Argh! That was my face!” said Hogun.
Thor sucked in a sharp breath. “You just kneed me in the nuts!”
“In Odin’s name, I’m so sorry!” apologized Sif quickly.
A jerk went through the pile of warriors and all you knew was that in the next second you were face to face with Loki, who grunted from the impact your body had on his when you fell on top of him. You were in shock. Your rip cage hurt and your faces were so close that your nose almost touched his. You could feel his heavy breath on your face. Too mesmerized by the sudden close body contact you weren’t able to move. And when Loki noticed that you weren’t doing anything to stand up, he rolled his eyes and pushed you roughly off of his body.
“Ouch!” you exclaimed when your head hit the ground. Your hand flew up to your head and luckily you didn’t feel any blood but you were for sure left with a bump.
Loki was already standing. He dusted off his clothes and looked down at you with a raised eyebrow before walking over to his brother to help him get up.
“Are you okay?”
“Yeah, I’m fine,” said Thor still in pain. “In maybe one or two days.”
“I said, I am sorry!” said Sif. “Stop being such a drama queen.”
All seven of you got up on your feet again and for the first time you could actually take a look at your surroundings without someone’s body part in your face.
You guys were on a small clearing withing a big forest. The trees were as high as buildings and their interlacing branches were building a roof above your heads. That made it hard for the sun to come completely through to the ground where you were standing on and it was kind of dark for the middle of the day. But the probably weirdest thing was the heat. You’d think in the shadow of all those leafs it would be a little colder than in the sunlight but that wasn’t the case. It was just as hot and you already started sweating. The air was humid and every breath felt like your were sucking in water in addition to oxygen.
“Where are we?” you asked, breathless from the beautiful plants around you.
“On Kamir obviously, what did you think?” Loki answered matter-of-factly.
“I know that,” you mumbled but kept your gaze down, your cheeks burning. Who did he think he was? Just because he was Asgard’s prince he didn’t have permission to constantly make you feel like a stupid peasant.
“Do we know what the flower looks like?” asked Fandral and took a look at his surroundings. “Because I see a lot of flowers growing here.” he was right. The ground was covered in all types of different plants from colorful blooming petals to dark green fern.
“Father said it would be glowing purple with blue spots and dark red stems,” said Thor. “But it should still be rather small so we won’t find it easily.”
“Great, sounds like a party,” replied Fendral sarcastically.
“We don’t have time for sarcasm right now,” you said already irritated by the heat. “We should just start searching.”
And so you did. The seven of you were walking for hours. Sweat was running down your face and neck, Sif – who normally always looked well put together – started to look disorganized and even Loki’s pale cheeks were covered with a cherry pink color. It wasn’t even close to dusk when the group was saying that they needed a break.
“Okay alright, we gonna take a break here,” said Thor and sunk to the ground. Everyone was pulling out their water bottles and you were all drinking big gulps of your water.
“Don’t forget what Heimdall said,” reminded Hogun as the voice of reason. “We can’t trust the water on here so we should save ours. We don’t know for how long we’ll be here.”
“Why can’t we just go back to Asgard and bring new water if ours is out?” asked Volstagg.
“Isn’t it obvious?” said Loki. “If we go back now the flower will be without protection. As soon as we are gone our enemies will rip each other apart to get here first.”
“But if they rip each other apart, isn’t that a good thing? I mean, then we won’t have to do it?” joked Volstagg.
Suddenly Thor got up and started taking off his armor.
“Uhm, Thor, what are you doing?” you asked as you watched him take off one layer after another.
“Hogun is right,” he said. “We need to save water and the more we sweat the more we’ll need to drink. We should do what Heimdall said and leave everything we don’t need behind.” He took off his shirt and was left standing there with just his trousers and Mjolnir in his hand.
Sif stared at Thor for a second longer before she just shrugged and started to take her own armor off. Following her example the others undressed as well.
You were a little uncomfortable at first but you thought about the alternative of dying of thirst and decided that it would be worth it. In the end you were left standing in some thin pants, a tank top and your sword belt. You felt the tickling of a pair of eyes on your skin and you looked up.
Loki was standing as far away from you as possible but his eyes were fixed on your figure. He himself was only wearing his thin trousers and a simple linen shirt, that stuck to his body from his sweat. You raised an eyebrow. “Everything okay?”
His eyes flew up to yours. His mouth closed and opened like the mouth of a fish but no sound came out. He quickly averted his gaze and walked away. Weird, you thought.
After everyone had taken off some layers you all felt a lot better and decided to continue with your search. You searched the whole day but without any success. The flower was not to be found.
When the sun was finally setting you were all happy to notice that the air was cooling down.
“I think we should rest now and get up early so that we can continue searching when it’s still dark and cool,” suggested Sif and you all agreed. You quickly found a clearing where you decided to build your camp. The grass was soft and the plants around it didn’t grew dense enough for creatures or the like to hide in there and you could look quite far. So ideal conditions for you all to rest there.
But still, you couldn’t be careful enough so it was your job to put the motion detectors around the camp. You were struggling to install one of them at a tree because the branch was a little too high up when you heard someone behind you say, “Here, let me help you.”
You turned around and to your surprise it was Loki who stood right behind you and was now stretching out his arms to install the little chip above your heads. He was so close that you could feel his body heat and smell his individual scent. When he was done he looked back down at you and frowned. “What? Don’t look at me like that. If you mess up we all could be in danger. Do you really think I’d just let you risk my life like that? Amateur.” He shook his head, took some of the detectors from you and walked away to help you install them.
Something was really strange about Loki today. Despite his comments he was treating you almost like a human. You didn’t know what it was that made Loki change his ways with you (maybe Thor had talked to him before your mission?) but you certainly weren’t complaining. You actually really like it and felt almost flattered by his attention.
Later you were all sitting together in a circle with your food spread out in the middle for everyone to reach. You sat between Sif and Thor, who shielded you from Loki’s glares. You were all eating together in silence, enjoying the nature around you. When the sun had completely disappeared from the sky it was so dark that you almost couldn’t see your own hand before your eyes but nobody wanted to make a fire. Its heat would be too much. But how should you see? If you couldn’t see you all there defenseless. When suddenly something magical happened. You saw it first and touched Thor’s upper arm to get his attention.
“Look!” you said and pointed to the edge of the clearing.
“Wow,” said Sif when she spotted it as well. On of the flowers was slowly opening its petals to reveal a glowing orange color. A lot of other flowers did the same and within moments the whole forest had lit up in all these beautiful colors.
“This is beautiful,” you whispered with a big smile on your face as you watched the fireflies buzzing all around your little group.
“And how are we supposed to find a glowing flower within hundreds of glowing flowers?” asked Loki pretentious.
“Why are you always so pessimistic, Loki?” you shot back. “Can’t you just enjoy something for the beauty of it for once?”
The god of mischief stared at you for quite some time before smiling at you with a smug expression on his face. “Looks like I can not.”
You shook your head in disbelieve and continued to look at him skeptically. As much as he tried to act like the beauty of the nature that surrounded you didn’t impress him, his face was telling a whole other story as he was looking at fireflies in the air.
You had never noticed it before but now that you were looking at him – the real him, not the passive aggressive one he always showed you – you had to admit to yourself that he was kind of beautiful. His expression relaxed and his features illuminated by the alien light. His eyes, normally blue, looked bright green in this strange glow. He wasn’t just a handsome young prince anymore.
Quickly you looked away, your cheeks flushing pink. You couldn’t think about him like that. He hated you. It would be inappropriate of you to think of him any other way than as your bully.
After you had eaten and drunk enough you decided it was time to sleep. Volstagg was supposed to guard your camp first – just to be safe. You choose a place close to the edge of the clearing where you laid down and slowly fell asleep. The last thing you saw before your eyelids fell shut were the purple glowing petals of a beautiful flower.

Loki’s POV
He woke up from an uncomfortable feeling in his abdomen. Loki might’ve been a god but even a god needed to pee.
He sat up and scanned his surroundings with his eyes. The flowers were still glowing and the fireflies there dancing through the warm air. His team mates were all fast asleep, including Volstagg who was supposed to be on look out.
“What an idiot,” Loki mumbled to himself as he stood up and walked past him. He walked over to disappear between the trees when he almost fell over a body lying in the grass. He looked down and discovered that it was you. You were lying on your side with your legs pulled up to your chest.
Loki crouched down to take a better look. You looked so peaceful in your sleep. You face was completely relaxed and the corner of your lips moved upwards to form a small smile. You must’ve been dreaming something nice. Loki caught himself thinking how much he wanted to touch you. Just gently ran a finger over your cheek or move a strand of hair out of your face. Be he shook his head and dismissed the thought. What a silly thing to think.
He got up again and walked around you, careful to not disturb your sleep and quickly deactivated the motion detectors before walking away from the others. Because he didn’t want to wake anybody up (not even Volstagg) he decided to tend to his business far off from your camp. He had to walk for quite some time and his thoughts were always on you.
There was something about you that he just didn’t understand. It wasn’t there from the beginning but shortly after meeting you he started to feel weird around you. For some reason every time you were around or even when your name was only mentioned his body started to feel strange. His heart beat quickened, his body felt hot and his blood was boiling. When you walked past him he had to fight back the urge to run after you, to reach out his hand to grab you. When he was close to you he wanted to tangle his fingers in your hair…it was weird. And Loki did not like it.
At the beginning he thought what he felt was anger. He didn’t like you. Why? No idea. So he started to play tricks on you and initially it worked. Whenever your eyes would look at him in shock or anger he felt accomplished. He felt like your whole focus was him and him alone and he enjoyed your attention. But soon after it just got worse. He didn’t like that you were making him feel this way so he wanted to get rid of you however possible. He even put you in danger at multiple occasions but in the end he never pulled through with his dangerous plans. The thought of losing you and never seeing you again displeased him even more than having you around all the time, so he decided to just try to annoy you away. And at first he thought he had succeeded. But then Sif had asked you to join their mission and now Loki didn’t know what to think anymore. He hated you, but he wanted to be close to you. He thought you were annoying, but he wanted to be always on your mind. He didn’t like you, but he hated it whenever Fendral got flirty with you.
Loki was quickly done with his business and he turned around to go back to the camp when he heard something. It was like a soft laugh. Maybe they weren’t as alone as they had previously thought?
Carefully he sneaked towards the sound and to his surprise found a lake with a soft sand shore. The lake was beautiful. Even the water was slightly glowing. Again he heard this laugh this time louder than before and turned his head in the direction from where it came. He couldn’t believe his eyes. There were you! Sitting on a big rock, combing through your hair with your beautiful fingers. Your sinful lips were smiling at him invitingly, your (e/c) eyes watching him playfully. Your arms rose above your head and you curved your bare body seductively.
Loki wade his way over to you utterly confused. “(y/n) what…?
But you put a finger over your mouth, showing Loki that he should be silent. You slowly put your arms around his neck, pulling him closer. His hands quickly found your hips and rested there like they had always meant to be there. Without further ado you crashed your sweet soft lips to his. Loki melted into the kiss, quickly deepening it. He was enchanted. Mesmerized by your soft skin beneath his fingers. His heat was beating faster and his hands were gripping your body tighter. Loki was so bewitched by your body, smell and kiss that he didn’t see the inconsistencies that should’ve proven to him that this wasn’t the real you.
He was so fascinated by your beauty that he didn’t see the sharp fangs in your mouth. He didn’t see the bluish-green glow of your skin or the most obvious thing: that from your mid thigh downwards you didn’t have legs but instead a big tail. A fishtail.

(Y/N)’s POV
You woke up because of Volstagg’s loud snore. Irritated from the loud sound you looked around. You relaxed quickly after realizing that it was just Volstagg and you were about to go back to sleep again when you noticed that someone from your group was missing. Loki.
“Guys?” you asked and stood up but nobody moved. You walked over to the person closest to you and started shaking them.
“Fendral!” you said. “Wake up! Loki is gone.”
The blond man stirred and slowly woke up. “What? (y/n)?”
“Loki isn’t here. Do you know where he is?”
“No?” Fendral sat up. “Where is he?”
“That’s what I’m asking you!” you said with an eye roll.
“Where is Volstagg?”
At the mention of his name Volstagg flinched and woke up. “Huh?”
“Volstagg!” Fendral said accusingly. “Why are you asleep? Loki is gone. Did you see him?”
“What? No I didn’t,” he said and walked over to the place where Loki had been sleeping.”Where did he go?”
“We wouldn’t ask you if we knew!” you replied.
“What is going on?” asked Thor, who had just woken up. Sif and Hogun started to rub their eyes as well.
“Loki is gone,” answered Fendral with a sigh.
“What? Why didn’t the motion detectors go off?” asked Thor.
“He turned them off,” said Hogun waving one of them in his hand.
“Great,” said Sif sarcastically. “Do we have to search for him now as well?”
“He can’t be that far off,” said Thor and got up to his feet. “We should go search for him and if we’re lucky we still get a little bit of sleep before we have to move again.” The whole group groaned but they listened to their leader and started searching for Loki.
You decided to split up to find him more quickly. You were sneaking through the trees and plants, your hand on the handle off your sword that was resting against your hip. “Loki?” you screamed and you heard the others echoing your calls in the distance. “Loki!”
You came to a lake and the hairs at the back of your neck stood up. This had to be one of the lakes Heimdall had warned you about. The lakes inhabited by loreley. And indeed, you saw their heads with their big pointy ears sticking out from the water. It looked like they were…waiting? Watching in anticipation.
Your eyes followed their gaze and to your horror you saw…Loki! Lying and rolling around in the water with one of those creatures.
“GUYS!” you screamed for the others. You heard a bunch of steps running towards you but you couldn’t take your eyes off of Loki and the mermaid. She looked so familiar….
“(y/n), did you find him?” Thor called when the others arrived and stood next to you. They saw the scene as well.
“Wow,” said Fendral and squinted his eyes to take a better look. “Is that…”
“Me?” you asked in shock. Yes, it was! The mermaid looked exactly like you with her (h/c) colored hair. She was lying on top of Loki who had captured her in his embrace, his lips always moving against hers.
But despite her similarities to you she was still very obvious a mermaid. Her upper body until her mid-thigh looked like a normal female body, except for the green scales that would cover some parts of her skin, like her arms or her stomach, her cheeks. In that moment Loki let out a deep groan, the mermaid pressing her nude breasts closer to his chest, slipping a hand under his drenched shirt and pulling it up. Loki’s hands were slowly moving down her body until they found her butt.
“Okay that’s it!” said Thor and spoke your own thoughts out loud. “Sif, Hogun, you two need to help me get that creature off my brother!”
“But Thor, look!” said Sif and pointed to the lake where the others were still slowly moving closer. “If we enter the water they are gonna pull us down as well!”
“What do you suggest we do then?” asked Thor upset. “Just let them drown him?”
“You know what I always say,” said Fendral and stepped forward. “Just do it.”
Then he ran towards Loki, followed by Volstagg and Hogun. Thor ran after them as well and Sif after a moment of hesitation. But you couldn’t move. Sif’s words didn’t stop circling inside your head. They are capable of telepathy and can see your deepest darkest desires.
Loki hated you. Why would a mermaid take your form to seduce him?
You watched Loki cling to the mermaid on his chest, gripping to her like it was to safe his life, although the exact opposite was the reality.
“How in Helheim is he so strong?” said Fendral as he tried to pull one of Loki’s arms away from her. Thor almost pulled the creature off Loki but in that moment she quickly turned around hissed at him and scratched with her long sharp fingernails across his cheek, making him bleed.
Your eyes darted to the other mermaids in the lake. They had come dangerously close. One of them was almost out of the water reaching out her hand to drag Sif into the depths of the lake by her ankle. Within seconds you drew your sword, jumped over to Sif and cut the mermaids hand off before she could drag her in. The creatures screamed in pain.
“Thank you,” said Sif and you nodded in acknowledgment. Sif turned away from Loki and the others and together you started to fight off the other mermaids. The water that was licking at your legs was cold and you shivered but the adrenaline of the fight took over and you moved smoothly without any disturbances.
“We got it!” screamed Fendral triumphantly. Thor quickly summoned Mjolnir and swung it down on the mermaids head, killing her instantly. You smiled looking at Loki but against all of your hopes he still wasn’t free from the mermaids curse. He let out a scream of agony so full of pain that it ripped your heart apart.
“Brother, she wasn’t real. That was a spirit!” said Thor and tried to pull Loki out of his trance but to no avail. Loki started to attack his older brother with his summoned spear.
“You killed her! You killed her!” he screamed over and over again. Thor mostly blocked his hits. He didn’t want to hurt Loki but you saw that that would become his downfall. Sif and the warrior Three were fighting off the mermaids.
“Thor, use Mjolnir!” called Sif but Thor shook his head.
“I can’t! I could hurt him!”
Suddenly you had an idea. Maybe if Loki saw that you were still alive it would break the curse and he would stop attacking Thor! You ran over to the two brother and slipped between them, standing protectively in front of Thor.
“Loki, I’m here!” you said soothingly. You let your sword fall to the ground and raised your hands in an attempt to calm him down. “Look, I’m fine. I’m alive. Nobody hurt me.” But Loki didn’t recognize you. No, now he started attacking you! You and Thor quickly jumped out of his way.
“Loki! Snap out of it!” you begged him but he didn’t hear you. He didn’t know it was you talking to him. What could you do? What was left?
Another idea formed in your head. It was stupid and there was absolutely no reason for it to work but you were desperate and in this moment you had no other plan. So instead of running from him you stepped towards him. You saw him smiling. It was one of these arrogant smiles that you knew far too well by now. But unlike other times, when you would look away or roll your eyes at this simile, this time you put your arms around his neck and pulled him down to your level, pressing your lips on his smile.
At first he didn’t move. He was in shock and let his spear fall in the sand. You didn’t just let go. You couldn’t be sure that he wouldn’t attack you anymore. But then slowly he started to kiss back. It wasn’t a passionate or wild kiss like he had shared with the mermaid. This one was sweet and innocent. Almost asking Is this okay? Do you want this?
Loki laid a hand on your cheek, carefully holding your face close to his own, while the other was playing with your hair. His touch so delicate like the wing of a butterfly.
Meanwhile your hear beat was going crazy and your tummy was tingling. Your head was going red from lack of oxygen but you didn’t want to stop.
Finally you pulled away. Both of you were breathing heavily but Loki looked kind of confused in addition to that. He was blinking quickly, like he just woke up from a dream. When he saw how close you two were he quickly let go of you and jumped back. “What did just happen?” he asked looking back and forth between you and the others.
Lady Sif and the others had come out victorious of their fight against the mermaids. Having killed most of them and the others were back hiding in the depths off the lake.
“Brother,” said Thor with a smile and patted Loki on the shoulder. “That’s a long story and once I told you all of it I promise I will never let you forget it.”
***
(Y/N)’s POV
You were all walking back to your camp. Loki walking a little behind. Since Thor had explained to him what had happened he didn’t say a single word, rather unusual for Loki. He kept his eyes on the ground making sure to look nobody in the eyes, especially not you. His distance was almost disappointing to you. Obviously you didn’t think he would suddenly change his whole behavior towards you but, as much as you didn’t like to admit it, you had enjoyed your kiss. Hell, it was probably the best kiss you ever had in your life! Despite the circumstances. And you wanted to do it again.
But now was surely not the time to thing about those things. You still had to complete your mission. It was already dawn when you were back at your camp and most flowers had stopped glowing. What a shame, you thought to yourself. You really liked the way they looked.
Thor told everybody to pack up their stuff and you walked over to the place where you had slept last night when something caught your attention. The purple flower!
“Thor?” you called and the god of thunder strolled over to you.
“Yes?”
“What exactly did you say the flower looks like?”
“Purple petals, blue spots and dark red…” his sentence left unfinished when he looked at the flower you were pointing at. Exactly the flower he was describing.
“Are you kidding me?” screamed Sif and walked over to you two.” It was here right in front of our noses the whole time?”
“Does it matter?” asked Volstagg. “That means we can go home now!”
All of you agreed. Thor took Mjolnir and quickly destroyed the plant with it so that nobody would ever be able to harvest it.
“That’s it?” you asked unsatisfied. “Seven warriors and all this drama just for you hitting it with your hammer and everything is solved?”
Thor shrugged. “I guess?”
You groaned but didn’t complain any further. All you wanted to do was go back home and make some new weapons. The group was almost done with packing when you saw sitting Loki far away from all the others, drawing pattern in the grass with his fingers. You walked over to him and sat down next to him in the grass. His body immediately stiffened.
“Loki, I won’t bit you,” you told him softly and laid your hand on of his, stopping him from drawing and making him look at you.
“I know,” he said. “I’m just…It’s just…” He sighed. “I’m sorry.”
You nodded, accepting his apology. “It’s alright. That could’ve happened to any of us.”
“I’m not just sorry that you had to fight those mermaids,” he admitted. “I’m sorry that you had to…you know. Kiss me.”
You shrugged. “I didn’t have to kiss you. I could have also just let Thor kill you.” Both of you laughed.
“I guess, I should thank you then,” he said smiling at you. For the first time you looked into his eyes and you didn’t see arrogance or hatred. When he looked at you his eyes were full of softness and admiration. “So, thank you.”
“You’re welcome,” you said grinning. Loki looked down again slowly interweaving his fingers with yours. “Is there anything else you want to tell me?” you asked him hopefully.
“Yeah,” he admitted. “I think…I think, I might not actually hate you.”
You smiled brightly and gave him a quick kiss on his cheek. “I don’t hate you either,” you whispered in his ear.
He returned your smile.
“I’m glad,” he said back before kissing you once again.

Day 1 - Villain/ Hero - Super Heroes AU
@oumota-events My piece for the first day for the Oumota Weekend
“Well this is another fine mess that you’ve gotten me into,” Akamatsu or Musical Note as the public knew the heroine said in a dry un-amused manner while they dangled upside down over a pit, luckily for the both of them the pit was empty right now but Kaito knew from experience that it could soon be filled with any number of things from animals, to chocolate pudding.   That had been an interesting afternoon.   “How was I supposed to know he had knock out gas on him!?” Kaito protested wincing at the memory of how they got into this situation in the first place.   Though she was wearing a mask that covered her eyes, Kaito knew that the girl was rolling them when she replied, “geez Luminary I don’t know? Maybe because you’ve fought him like over a hundred times!?”
Kaito winced again as Akamatsu raised her voice again in frustration, though he couldn’t really blame her, this was not how Kaito had wanted this team up to go.   He and Akamatsu had started the whole superhero thing around the same time and had worked together a lot but after Akamatsu had found her arch nemesis, a really dangerous shape shifter she’d become more focused on putting the shape shifter behind bars than anything else.   She’d even broken up her partnership with Shuichi to try and protect the detective from their line of work and she was still a bit angry with Kaito over him making Shuichi his sidekick. But Kaito couldn’t help it, when Akamatsu had first started out she and Shuichi had been an unstoppable team, his investigative stills really making a difference.   Shuichi had way too much potential to be left on the bench.   Not that Akamatsu ever really approved of Momota’s sidekicks; she still acted suspicious towards Harumaki just because the other girl used to be an assassin that Akamatsu had fought.   But Harumaki had changed! She’d reformed and just because Akamatsu had gone up against her a couple of times didn’t change the fact that Harumaki was on their side now!   Kaito had been hoping that teaming up with Akamatsu today might encourage the girl to work with him more like they used to and that way she could reconnect with Shuichi and get to know Harumaki, he was worried about Akamatsu sometimes. Ever since Cosplay Cat had started becoming a real problem, he’d barely seen her with anyone who wasn’t Chabashira who had quickly become Akamatsu’s new partner after she’d told Shuichi to stay out of the super-heroing business.   With their team up today being so important though Kaito should have expected to run into him.   “Looks like you’re in a difficult situation right now aren’t you Luminary?” said a familiar voice and Kaito had to strain his neck to see the voices owner entering the room, almost as if he knew that Kaito had been thinking about him.   Kaito had never seen his face due to the fact that he hid behind that annoying clown mask of his but Kaito just *knew* that the other boy was grinning right now.   “Let us go Trickster!” Kaito yelled suddenly struggling against his bonds with more effort, he could feel that he was beginning to untangle his bonds ignoring the complaining coming from Akamatsu as he did so.   Trickster only tilted his head to the side giving off a thoroughly amused air before letting out his signature laugh "Nishishi, now why would I do that before we’ve had any fun Luminary? I’ve only *just* caught you in my trap!” Trickster mocked his words laced with a sinister aura.   “You’re the one who’s trapped Trickster!” Kaito refuted “in the crooked grip of crime!”   Kaito could practically feel the rooms other two occupants rolling their eyes at him but he remained firm directing his gaze to the stolen art that Trickster had stolen though he doubted anyone could see where he was looking with his astronaut themed helmet.   Though Trickster seemed to be able to tell where Kaito was looking and began making his way to the paintings and statues “spare me your morality hero I deserve these masterpieces far more than those nasty old curators of that dusty old museum,” Trickster said in a board tone of voice gesturing to one of the paintings for emphasis.   “Those old coots would probably use them for *way* worse stuff than I would anyway! I mean I just want to decorate my room a little bit, really spruce up the place! Is that such a crime?” Trickster’s tone was a mocking one and back when Kaito had first starting fighting Trickster he would have probably risen to the bait and started a full blown argument right then and there but now Kaito had to hold back letting out a laugh.   As if he’d really decorate his room, most of the stuff the Trickster stole ended up with the police with or without the hero’s interfering.   The Trickster really was a hard guy to understand, even Shuichi couldn’t figure him out saying it was probably better to just focus on bringing him to justice than think about his motivations and there was a time when Kaito would have agreed with that statement but the more he and the Trickster clashed the more he wasn’t sure.   Sometimes it felt like the Trickster was doing more to bring bad guys to justice than they were! Heck even tonight they’d only run into Trickster robbing a museum because they were investigating the museums curators counterfeiting and selling art on the black market. With the Trickster’s theft there would be an even more intensive insurance investigation leading to the curator’s crimes almost definitely being discovered. Kaito couldn’t see how they wouldn’t be exposed at this rate anyway.   Which made Kaito wonder whose side the Trickster was even on. The self-proclaimed villain’s innocent victims more often than not ended up turning out to be not quite so innocent, exposing people who would use their money, or power or status to be above the law.   A lot of the public treated Trickster like a Robin Hood figure because of this and he even had fans much to the displeasure of a lot of Kaito’s fellow heroes.   Kaito had once tried asking Trickster why he did what he did, whose side was he really on and the smaller boy had only said he was on his own side doing things for fun.   Not that Kaito really believed that but it still pissed him off, Trickster wasn’t like Maki who had been forced to do bad things, he had a choice. If Trickster really was trying to bring evil to justice like the rest of them he could do so much more on their side! Why did he choose to be a villain?   “Hey Luminary, I think I can get loose if you-“ Akamatsu began to say before Kaito talked over her, too focused on Trickster to properly listen.   “I don’t get it man with your skills you could do so much good, you have to know you’re way too smart for this villain shit!” Kaito said trying to get through to the Trickster once again, things would be so much better for everyone if he just worked with them!   “Ha! You heroes and your- wait was that supposed to be some kind of compliment?” Trickster asked in surprise mid taunt, voice laced with something close to happiness.   “Hey less banter and more escaping… are you even listening to me?” Akamatsu’s voice questioned from beside him.   “Sometimes with the things you come up with it’s obvious you’re incredible but you’re on the wrong side!” Kaito continued, his and the Tricksters gaze locked on to each other “Give up this life of crime Trickster, let me help… rehabilitate you,”   Akamatsu suddenly paused in her struggling looking between Kaito and Trickster in disbelief “…wait… Are you two flirting right now!?”   “Awe, you’re always trying to take away my fun Luminary. That’s why it’s so imperative I take you out,” Trickster said mockingly his voice light and playful and Kaito could almost imagine a glint in his eyes.   “Not if I take you down first!” Kaito refuted smirking with confidence even though Trickster couldn’t see it.   “You are! You’re seriously flirting right now! Flirterers!” Akamatsu accused just as Kaito finished untangling his knots and letting them both break free.   “Oops! Looks like it’s time to go!” Trickster stated cheerfully as the two heroes stuck their landings while he grabbed a painting before running off.   “You go make sure the rest of the stolen art is secure I’ll handle Trickster!” Kaito yelled already running after the other boy.   “Yeah, I’ll bet”. Akamatsu muttered but she made her way to the stolen items and would probably secure all the exits in the building soon.   Kaito sprinted down the hallways, every time he thought he lost Trickster he managed to catch a glimpse of him. Giving himself an extra push Kaito channeled energy into his legs and sprang forward to tackle him only for the Trickster to dodge. This led to a series of Kaito attacking with the Trickster somehow always managing to dodge but luckily not running away this time.   It almost felt like a strange dance honestly Kaito thought as he grinned with the rush of adrenaline.   “You know Luminary, I think you might be the one who chose the wrong side.” Trickster stated thoughtfully dodging another one of Kaito’s attacks “I think we could make good partners in crime, I’m always looking for more minions” the smaller boy offered tauntingly dodging Kaito’s kick.   “Ha! I only serve justice Trickster!” Kaito said defiantly as he finally managed to surprise Trickster with a feigned attack and tackle him to the ground, “but justice is always looking for new recruits as well,” Kaito told him smugly as he put Trickster’s hands behind his back.   “I can’t believe you two,” muttered Akamatsu’s voice as she ran up to them Kaito turning towards her happily.   “Hey Musical Note! Everything go okay on you’re end?” Kaito asked as Akamatsu picked up the painting that Trickster had dropped.   “Yep! Everything stolen is accounted for now we just need to get them back where they belong!” Akamatsu said as Trickster scoffed.   “They belong with someone who’ll appreciate them!” Trickster whined while Akamatsu smirked at him.   “What are you someone with a taste for the finer things in life then Trickster?” Akamatsu taunted.   “…I mean… obviously not,” Trickster stated flatly, jerking his head slightly in Kaito’s direction.   “Ugh, give me a break!” Akamatsu groaned as Kaito looked between the two of them, what the hell was that? He felt like he was missing something.   “Hey ease up Musical Note, he’s only a thief. Not some dangerous psychopath,” Kaito warned slightly, Akamatsu had gotten more intense since she started trying to catch Cosplay Cat and he sometimes worried that she might cross a line one day.   “Are you forgetting he kidnapped us?” Akamatsu asked in disbelief just before Trickster freed himself from Kaito’s hold, knocking Kaito off him and sprinting like a dart round the corner.   He and Akamatsu gave chase but as soon as they turned the corner Trickster was nowhere in sight.   Akamatsu sighed and looked at Kaito almost accusingly as if it was his fault that Trickster got away.   “What?” Kaito asked defensively as Akamatsu started making her way back to where the rest of the stolen art was.   “You definitely like him,” Akamatsu accused in a dry voice leaving Kaito spluttering to defend himself.   “What!? No I don’t!” Kaito defended feeling his face heating up a bit “I’m only trying to get him on our side! You can’t tell me things wouldn’t be easier if her worked with us!”   “It definitely would be easier, but I had no idea letting him escape was part of reform therapy,” Akamatsu joked giving him a sly smile. “Hey maybe I should tell my partner to try that with The Red Mage next time,”   Kaito scoffed and rolled his eyes putting his hands in his pockets only to notice a note there, taking out the note he couldn’t help but smile when he read it’s contents “don’t worry Musical Note I have a feeling I’ll run into the Trickster soon,”      ‘Let’s play again sometime Luminary! ;)                      -Trickster’

CAN YOU WRITE MORE PREGNANT TONY PL e ASE !??
Would You Rather
Link to Ao3 and Fanfiction
Some would say it was dangerous for Tony and Loki had somedown time. If you asked them, they’d laugh. Tony with down time normally meantat least one explosion. Loki with too much time on his hands meant trouble foranyone within a ten mile radius.
Today, most of the team had plans, things to do in town, people to see. Tony and Loki, they had each other and an empty mansion. Sittingon the floor with scattered pillows and blankets, they sipped at spiked hotchocolate and kept warm by the fire place.
“Would you rather be hit by a car or take a bullet?” Tonywatched the whip cream sink into the chocolatey goodness of his drink. When hetook a sip he couldn’t tell if it was the heat of the drink or the burn of thebourbon that warmed him up inside.
“Hit by a car.” Loki answers lazily.
“Really, but what if it isn’t a love tap but a full on hitand run.” Tony pointed out, “I mean think about it. A single bullet is onlygoing to affect one area. It could be a graze, through and through, or a cleanhead shot. A car though … ? Depending on the hit, you could survive and ifit was a bad hit, concussion, broken limbs, broken bones, bumps and bruises.Don’t get me started on the legal fight. Getting shot, his ass is going tojail.”
“I’ll heal.”
Tony glared for a moment, “fucking Asgardian. Fine! Go, it’syour turn.”
“Start life over from birth, or lose the next five years ofyour life.”
Tony sipped at his drink while he contemplated the answer,“Shit, well what do you mean by lose?”
Loki’s finger rubs the side of his cup, “Imagine you waketomorrow and the year is 2023. You’re five years older, maybe you wake in bedand your partner is not I but another. They are your wife and you have achild.”
“So kind of like amnesia?” Damn that’s hard.” He set his cupdown and starts really analyzing the scenario.
“Okay so obviously I’m not going to get those five years ofmemory. That means I have to relearn all my inventions. It also seems like noone realizes I don’t remember so when they find out there’s going to be somepity partying. Great … or I can hit the restart button. When I restart do Iretain all my current memories and knowledge or really start over like a newborn baby?
If I’m aware it might be nice to cheat the system … butit could also be annoying.”
Loki leaned back against the couch, bringing the big, softthrow blanket closer around him, “Having the mind of an adult but trapped inthe body of a child … and being treated as such.”
“What would you pick Lokes?”
“I’m not sure I’m very fond of living with ignorance, evenif it is only five years. A lot could happen in such amount of time and I wouldnever truly know.”
“I think I agree.”
The ‘game’ if that’s what you want to call it was a suddenthing. They were enjoying a snowy night in when Tony had thrown a randomscenario at Loki.
Of course the god was confused but he played along to humorhis lover. And he’s quite happy he did. This ‘Would You Rather’ was simple inits context but it challenged your imagination. Loki also liked to think ofthis as another opportunity to get to know more about his mortal lover.
“Okay then Lo-kitty, burn alive or freeze to death?”
“Burn alive.” His answer was fast and said with suchconviction.
“Why?”
“To some I am the god of mischief, to others the god offire. My being embraces fire like the sun embraces the horizon. I assume youthink otherwise?”
“Well yeah, I’m not a god of anything. To me burning alivewould be awful. Screaming and flailing as my flesh is burned from my bones.Freezing on the other hand, I don’t mind the cold. I’ll probably shiver untilmy body goes numb to the cold. Then I’d lose consciousness and pass away in mysleep as everything shuts down. So definitely freeze over burn.”
“I see,” Loki thought of another scenario, Tony watched him.Enjoying the way the light of the fire played across his pale skin, “find outyou’re pregnant tomorrow or never be able to have a child.”
“Pregnant tomorrow.”
Loki turned wide eyes onto his lover. He hadn’t expectedthat. Almost every scenario presented Tony started with an analysis and thendebated his options and possible outcomes.
The god quietly observed his love before gently nudging theman, “Care to explain your reasoning?”
Tony blushed and ducked his head, hands nervously fiddlingin his lap.
“It probably wouldn’t happen, one I’m a guy and can’t getpregnant. Two I’m not getting any younger, but if we’re being honest, if Icould have a kid of my own I wouldn’t pass up the chance. I might not have alot of it, but I still have time.” Tony’s hands fiddled with his cup. This wasactually something he had fought himself over for years. With the influence ofHoward, he figured he would never been a good dad growing up, terrified hewould become like his own father and mistreat his child. But as time passed hefound himself thinking about it again. Having a kid. Of course it would beterrifying, any parent would say it’s terrifying. But even though there’s somuch room for error and messing up, Tony knows he’d do his absolute best tocare for and raise his child to the best of his ability.
Loki smiled at Anthony, “I agree.”
Tony smiled back, love reflecting back at the god as theywatched one another … and then the genius promptly ruined the moment, “Igot one! Never eat meat again or prepare every meal for the rest of your life?”
Loki sighed, sometimes his lover could be quite childishhimself, “Every meal or anything I desire to eat?”
Tony laughed, “I’ll be nice and say meal. So breakfast, lunch, and dinner, snacks and desserts excluded.”
“Well then …”
*a month later*
“LOKI!” A high pitched shrill yell resonated in the mansionbefore the studies door banged open. With the force of it Loki would besurprised if Anthony hadn’t dented the wall (although the man did have all thewalls reinforced.)
“Yes Anth-” Loki was cut short when calloused hands latchedonto his shoulders and shook him.
“What did you do!? How is this possible?? I shouldn’t-”
“Anthony.”
“I’m pregnant!”
There was a stilted silence, “Pardon?”
“Pardon? Pardon!?” Anthony screeched indignantly, “What doyou mean ‘pardon?’ I’M PREGNANT!”
Tony stopped shaking the god, his wild eyes staredimploringly into those shocking greens irises of his lover. “Why do you saysuch things?” Loki was very careful not to say ‘think’ knowing his lover wellenough that if he said it differently the other man would take his questioningmuch worse.
“Why! Because I kept getting sick and Bruce couldn’t findanything wrong so I caved and called a real doctor. A mornings worth of testsand one ultra sound later I get a very scandalized doctor with heavily detailedpatient/doctor confidentiality agreements sighed and this picture.” At thisLoki would swear that Tony magically materialized a photograph from thin air.But as real as he and Anthony are, there was an ultra sound picture with a dotbeing highlighted for him. “Loki …” the whisper of his name snapped hisgaze from the photograph to the defeated look of his lover. “What happened?”
Loki jumped from his seat and wrapped the smaller man in hisarms. “Anthony, I promise you that I did not plan this. I would never takeadvantage or do something without your consent. I will figure this out. Iwill.”
Three days of spell casting, soul searching, and a visitfrom Frigga later and Loki came to Tony with his answer.
“Anthony.” Said mortal was seated it one of his comfortablechairs when his godly lover came to kneel before him. “Anthony, I am so sorry.”With tears in his eyes Loki explained how during their night of ‘Would YouRather’ his body and mind had unknowingly entered a state of meditation that henormally enters when he’s connecting with his magic.
So when they had that discussion about children his magichad latched onto the notion.
It didn’t help that the scenario’s took on a sexual themethat lead to a night of passion in the bedroom.
Unknowingly to either of them his magic was crafting insideTony so he would be able to conceive and carry a child.
“Anthony, I am so, so sorry.” His eyes were glistening butthe tears never fell. Tony looked into those anguished green eyes that he lovedso much. He could see the question that wasn’t being asked, Will you forgive me?
Even though Loki couldn’t voice it the billionaire stillanswered him, “I forgive you.” Relief washed over Loki but Tony quicklycontinued, “But!” Loki froze, “I’m still very mad at you. Knowingly or not, youknocked me up. So for the next two weeks you’ll become very familiar with theliving room couch because that’s where you’ll be sleeping.”
Loki jerked back as if he’d been slapped, “You can’t beseri-”
“AHH! Nope, male,” he pointed down at his crotch and then abit higher, “pregnant. Couch, two weeks.”
For the next 8 months things were complicated to put thingslightly. As the situation was Tony had bad days but they worked through ittogether.
Loki did live the first two weeks on the couch but his exiledidn’t deter him from being the support beam Tony needed.
But after all the ups and downs Leo Cornelius Liesmith wasborn.
Tony woke to any empty spot beside him and checked theclock. It was very early.
He contemplated going back to sleep but ended up decidingagainst it. Slipping on something comfortable he padded out of the room. Aquick look into the baby room told him that he’d find his boys in the kitchen.
He walked into the open kitchen to see his tiny totblabbering nonsense to his lover while the trickster nodded along as if theywere having a real discussion.
“What are you two up too so early in the morning?” Leoturned at his voice in his high chair and squealed excitedly. “Hey cornflake.”He picked his baby up and kissed his chubby cheeks.
“We were just readying breakfast.” Loki watched Anthony rockand coo at their child. A devilish smirk took hold of his face, “Also debatingif Leo would rather have a brother or sister.”
Without even turning or stopping what he was doing, “Eternalbanishment to the couch.” Loki laughed nervously but didn’t broach the subjectagain.
It wasn’t until they were sitting at the table, breakfast infront of them and Tony working smashed food into Leo’s mouth when he spoke up.
“Maybe …” Loki’s attention snapped to Anthony watchinghis lover give him a small smile, “We’ll talk about it.” The god positivelybeamed at his love, happiness brightening the room.
He didn’t think anything could top this moment until Leoclapped his little hands and said, “Dada.”
If someone asked Loki if he wanted to change anything abouthis life he’d tell them he’d rather die than leave this moment and the life hewas building with Anthony.

Note
"give me a character and i’ll answer" I cannot NOT ask you about RotE, that's like postbaiting. I give yoooou... Kettricken, Althea and Alise! (also curious about what you would say about Beloved)
woot yay! and lol postbaiting.
Kettricken
do I like them: Oh I love her so very very much.
5 good qualities: This is a woman who raised her son to understand that leadership is about sacrificing yourself for those under your rule instead of about privilege and power over them, goddamn! She’s also incredibly sweet even when she has to be firm with someone, has amazing reserves of mental and emotional strength, respects all life including animals and those people who are usually discriminated against and hated, and understands keenly the importance of cultures retaining their own traditions even as they join together.
3 bad qualities: Does she have any? IDK. I can’t think of a one. Especially as seen through Fitz’s eyes, who ADORES her.
favourite episode/etc: I think in Royal Assassin when she leads the hunt for the Forged and inspires everyone to be brave but also take it seriously, and then cleans and prepares all the bodies and a whole unit of soldiers take on her colors afterward and songs are sung of the Vixen Queen - that showed a lot of her character, especially since she was really on the outs with everyone at the time.
otp: I mean obviously her and Verity, but you know I have my secret otp of her and Fitz too. ;)
brotp: her and Nighteyes. *tears up*
ot3: I mean, I guess sort of her and Fitz and Beloved? Though it would be more platonic on her part mostly, and especially between her and Beloved.
notp: her and Regal. *shudder*
best quote: Oh gods, probably the part at the end of Assassin's Fate when Fitz makes a comment about not seeing her there, and she kind of sadly says he never does and kisses his head and walks away like. OOOF in the feels!
head canon: She’d have happily joined Fitz and Nighteyes and Beloved in the stone wolf if she hadn’t both her own grandkids and Fitz’s daughter to take care of. But she’s a sacrifice to her people, and so even had she been asked, she’d have said no. *crying*
Althea
do I like them: Ooohhh, I love her so much!
5 good qualities: She stands up for herself and those she cares for against even impossible odds, she chooses what she believes is right for those she loves even if it goes against what she wants for herself, she tells her truths even when it’s incredibly uncomfortable to do so, she’s a fantastic captain, and she’s a great friend once she’s chosen to be one to someone.
3 bad qualities: Her over-confidence/need to prove herself does sometimes get her into dangerous trouble, it takes her awhile to realize she loves someone, and oooooo she has a temper!
favourite episode/etc: Gosh, I’m having trouble picking a favorite part, but probably when she and the others are working on getting Paragon sea-worthy and she realizes she has to let Brashen be the captain because if they get Vivacia back she’ll need to go and be her captain, so even though she stubbornly believes she’d be just as good if not better at it than him, she backs down and acts appropriately as his second - even to the extent of covering the feelings she finally realizes she has for him.
otp: with Brashen, obvi.
brotp: with Amber, or possibly Ophelia.
ot3: none.
notp: with Kennit - blech!
best quote: Probably the one where she talks about how she wants both romance and to captain a ship in her life, and how anyone she would partner with would have to be okay with that.
head canon: The two dragons that were once Paragon, especially Karrigvestrit, come to visit her and Brashen and Boy-O sometimes. They are favored by many of the dragons, especially the ones who were once liveships, for their part in freeing them and for the care they gave them as ships. This helps their families survive the community’s difficult transition to the new economy.
Alise:
do I like them: I do! She annoys me on occasion, but I do like her.
5 good qualities: She’s brave as heck, she has compassion for days especially for dragons even when they have none back for her, she doesn’t care much about social class even though she comes from the richer Bingtown stock, she’s optimistic as whoa, and she cares deeply for the history of her home even though such academic pursuits are looked down on in her social and familial circles.
3 bad qualities: She’s so so so naive, she has trouble standing up for herself, and she sometimes gets so wrapped up in studying the past that she loses track of what’s happening right in front of her.
favourite episode/etc: When she and Sedric realize they’ve both been used by Hest and that their friendship to one another means more to them than any hurts they’re carrying - but she still makes it known that she’s angry with Sedric for how he betrayed her and that it will take her some time to get over that. She’s so strong and true to herself and her own value in that moment and I love it.
otp: with Leftrin of course.
brotp: with Thymara. Adore their friendship.
ot3: noooone, but. the part of me that kind of digs dysfunctional love/hate stuff would be interested in a much less abusive Hest/Sedric/Alise something something??? idk, probably not. maybe just a little.
notp: with Hest or anyone else who would abuse her trust and open heart and not see her with the same adoring eyes as Leftrin does.
best quote: Can’t think of a specific one - wish I had those books! (I got some in the series for Xmas, so that only leaves ummm 11 to go? holy crap this series...)
head canon: She eventually finds out what happened to Hest because even Kalo took pity on her and Sedric’s constant worry about when he’d come back out of the woodwork to hurt them again. She doesn’t approve of what the dragon did, but she’s also quite relieved. She has trouble reconciling the two things and Leftrin has to assure her that she’s not a bad person for being glad that her ex is dead.
Beloved (aka The Fool, Amber, etc.):
do I like them: I very very much do.
5 good qualities: Genderfluid (as well as classfluid and just kind of identityfluid), wonderfully playful trickster type, lives with constant awareness of how every action they take could set important historical events on or off course and yet finds ways to be joyful and have fun despite the seriousness of their life, brave - oh so brave - charging into battle even as a pacifist with no fighting skills to speak of, able to befriend kings and slaves and everyone in between alike as well as animals and dragons and liveships - basically can empathize with and get along with just about anyone.
3 bad qualities: Really really doesn’t like to talk about themselves even when doing so would help someone out a great deal, allowing this trait to turn from a mysterious sort of wiliness to outright deceit at times, can be cruel even to those they love if they believe it will help fulfill their spiritual purpose in life.
favourite episode/etc: Probably how much fun they had playing the role of Lord Golden and treating Fitz like their servant and hobnobbing with the rich and famous of the Duchies.
otp: with Fitz, the only person they ever loved in a romantic way, IIRC.
brotp: also with Fitz, since their relationship was primarily platonic.
ot3: I mean kinda with Fitz and Nighteyes not in a romantic/sexual way but as a 3-soul soulmate kinda way. (Add in Kettricken to plz?)
notp: Pale Woman? IDK, I could see some fans shipping them but I wouldn’t like to see that personally.
best quote: So many, especially all of his fool-like quips and puzzlers. But probably the best is where he tricks Fitz into calling him Beloved. hee
head canon: As part of the Wolf of the West, they check in on Bee and Kettricken and Nettle and Hap and everyone else as often as they can. They also visit with the spirits of Chade and Verity and Shrewd in the skill-river. *tearing up*

Mordan, how were your first days in the guardian quarters? Can you also tell me what you think of some of the other apprentices?
Morden: “ Hmm… the first few days were quite confusing for me, I would get lost constantly and I had a difficult time finding the training grounds. But later on I managed to create a mind-map of the quarters after I began helping my Master move around, since his eyes are blindfolded, he needs someone to guide him - it tends to be me or another Guardian. Also the training was and sometimes is very difficult as my element requires patience, dedication and calmness of the mind to master it. But I’m guessing that my normal eyes make it harder for me to master hypnosis. “
“ As for some apprentices… well, I can only share my opinions on them as they never speak or approach me because they’re all afraid I’ll ‘hypnotise’ them or something like that…
…Let’s start with Tundrine, the ice apprentice - I like how she treats her apprentice position seriously and is generally calm, I respect her for that. I heard what happened to her childhood friend, which caused her behaviour to change…I’m sorry for her loss and I’m glad that her behaviour has been improving lately.
Then there’s Argil, the earthquake apprentice - he can be too cocky and annoying, as he tends to bother other apprentices… excluding me, he doesn’t dare to look at me or even be near me. Whenever I see him annoying Tundrine all I do is look at him, which makes him shut up or even walk out of the room for some reason… it’s humorous in some way but at the same time, slightly offensive… but eh, I’ve grown used to it.
Next there’s Argil’s close friend; Grail, the lava apprentice - I didn’t really like him when bothered others. However when he decided to improve his behaviour I started to like him and somewhat started to respect him.
Now, there’s Dorkus, the fire apprentice - I really don’t like him. He can be very rude and racist to anyone he considers ‘less superior’ than himself. He also tends to tease or bully other apprentices, especially female apprentices… yet again, excluding me, for whatever reason that may be. I guess he believes in those rumours about me too. I just hope he wont do something… cruel, to any apprentice here. Like, something really cruel…
And now there’s Dima, the earth apprentice - well, he is really quite… or mute, I’m unsure which one it is. I heard what happened to his family member during the Bloody Dawn and I’m sorry for his loss… I just hope that his family member’s death doesn’t affect him a lot.
Now there’s Eteri, the wind apprentice - well, I wouldn’t get along with her much as she doesn’t take her position seriously and tends to play pranks. Some may be funny, but the rest are… unnecessary and childish. I think she played a prank on majority of apprentices… excluding me. What a surprise that is…
Then there’s Eteri’s partner-in-crime; Frederick, the sound apprentice - he’s… well… impulsive and loud. Really loud. Unlike Eteri’s pranks, his pranks are harmful as he tends to deafen others, apart from me…. I heard he once deafened Oria’s pet for a week, I’m surprised that she didn’t… lash out at him. I can’t imagine not hearing anything for a week…
Next there’s the master-trickster of all apprentices; Electory, the electricity apprentice - He does tend to pull pranks constantly on others no matter who they are, unless you’re me, and he doesn’t take his position seriously but he cares deeply about his friends… which shows the kind and caring side of him, which I respect.
Let’s move onto Sana, the blue fire apprentice - I like and respect her, what fascinates me a little is her patience and how she doesn’t tend to get angry much for a fire dragon, not even at Dorkus when he is really annoying. I guess that explains why she’s the only one who can shut Dorkus up for more than five seconds… I sometimes wonder if I can do that by simply staring at him…
Next there’s Oria, the nitrogen apprentice - She is literally the only apprentice who isn’t afraid to approach and talk to me. The only one I consider a friend… I really like and respect her, she doesn’t judge others by their appearances and treats any creature as her equal. Unlike most First Class Civilians. Oria and I occasionally talk, within or outside of training. But most of the time she socialises with her other friends, so we don’t spend a lot of time together. Either way, I appreciate her being the only one who doesn’t see me as a dangerous, creep or a ‘darker’.
Then…there’s Florence, the nature apprentice - Florence is… well… kind. Very kind and friendly… well, except towards me, I guess she’s afraid of me too. Wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case. I find something about her… pretty, like her markings, feather patterns and her necklace. I… I kinda have a…well, crush on her, but I’ll get over it… eventually.
Now moving on, there’s Rykos, the former crystal apprentice - I didn’t know much about him apart from his determination to impress Master Xavier, from what I remember, he would accept the abusive training for the sake of becoming stronger… sadly, his stubbornness and determination caused his… well, caused his death.
Now there’s Semias, the current crystal apprentice - I… really feel bad for Semias. He has been through a lot, his father pushed him too much, especially since he’s really young. Despite the extremely harsh training, he did indeed become stronger than any apprentice. I also somewhat emphasize with Semias, I have been through a minority of what he has gone through with his father… not many know about my father’s abuse towards me, but his father didn’t hide it at all.
I’m pretty sure Semias fears me the most out of any apprentice or Guardian - once I entered the same room as he did with my master, he had something to discuss with Master Faintwing and two other Guardians. Almost immediately when Semias made eye contact with me he started crying and pleading for help to get away from me as he kept on screaming “he’s a monster!”… poor child… I hope that someday he will break out of his constant fear and his past.
Then there’s Korya, the stone apprentice - I don’t know much about him, apart from him being the apprentice and his father being the Chief of the Police. I’ve seen how these two interact once, and it was a little funny… but… I envy him a little, to be honest… he get’s to share a healthy bond with his father that some never do.
Next there’s Nebel, the mist apprentice - I’m neutral towards Nebel, we both share a dislike for Dorkus… but in her case she absolutely despises him. I’m not surprised why.
Then there’s Odinson, the tornado apprentice - He’s too arrogant and racist. He really likes to boast about his wealth and ‘strength’ towards everyone else, especially those he considers ‘less important’ than himself. He also tends to flirt with every female apprentice there is… well, most of them, that’s when he really boasts about his wealth and golden feathers.
And finally there is Kosatka, the bubble apprentice - I like her cheery personality, but I find her punishment for negative attitudes… strange. Either way, she’s too innocent as she knows nothing that really happens in the real world. Guess her parents are good at keeping secrets from her, probably for the best.
And that’s all I can say for now, until more apprentices will be chosen or the rest will stop avoiding me. “

Loki's Most Devious Moments in Marvel History

Loki is getting his own Marvel TV series, so it's time to celebrate the God of Mischief.

Loki
Tom Hiddleston has been a scene stealer as Loki, the God of Mischief since his first appearance on the original Thor movie, and that carries all the way through to Avengers: Endgame. Loki has become as popular as any of the actual Avengers thanks to his suave form of evil. Just leave it to the trickster god to become as beloved as the heroes he clashes with.
Let's take a look at some of the greatest (and trickiest) moments in the character's long history...
Tumblr media
And There Came a Day…
Just as it was in the movie, in the comics the Avengers formed because of Loki. During one of his games of vengeance against Thor, Loki manipulated an epic confrontation between Thor and the Hulk, getting embroiled in Loki’s machinations were also Iron Man, Ant-Man, and the Wasp. Looking to cause chaos on Earth, Loki caused the first gathering of the greatest force of order on Midgard, the Avengers. But by creating order for some, Loki caused chaos for others.

By creating the Avengers, Loki has created a force that would lead to many conflicts with the evil forces across the galaxy...something that would cause chaos for evildoers everywhere. Loki’s accidental creation foiled the plans of Ultron, Dr. Doom, Kang, the Master of Evil, and even himself. To the villains of the Marvel Universe, the formation of the Avengers was the very definition of disruptive mischief.

The Villain Maker
A great villain makes trouble for the heroes he fights; a greater villain makes other villains to make the trouble for him. Loki had a direct hand in giving long time Marvel troublemakers the Wrecking Crew and Absorbing Man their powers. Think of all the trouble these villains had created for the heroes of the Marvel Universe, a testament to the cunning and manipulation of the ultimate trickster.
read more - Complete Guide to Marvel and MCU Easter Eggs in Avengers: Endgame
Loki also, at one point or the other, directly manipulated or had a hand in the destines of early Thor adversaries Jinku the Lava Man, the Weather Maker, The Executioner, the Enchantress, the Super-Skrull, Surtur, Cobra and his partner Mr. Hyde, and Skagg. These early adversaries of Thor set the stage for the god’s adventures for decades to come and they were all pointed into the conflict by Loki.
Tumblr media
The Instigator
Considered by many to be the first true crossover in mainstream comics, the Avengers/Defenders War would be considered big even today, so think of how big it must felt in 1973. Teaming with the Dread Dormammu, Loki manipulates Earth’s mightiest super teams to clash over pieces of an ancient artifact called the Evil Eye. The crossover spotlights Loki’s ability to force conflict where there should be unity.

Fans were treated to many awesome clashes, some for the first time, like Doctor Strange versus Black Panther and Mantis, Thor versus the Hulk, Captain America versus Namor in a battle of former Invaders, and Silver Surfer versus Vision and Scarlet Witch, all thanks to the machinations of Loki. At the end, of course, Loki betrays Dormammu, showing that the spread of discord and chaos is always more important than victory in any Loki tale.
Looking back on the story, the pacing and format would be mimicked for decades to come as this super battle became the prototype for crossovers to come, and Loki was right in the center of it all with a smile on his face.
Tumblr media
He Transformed his Freaking Brother into a Freaking Frog
Most of the Loki stories on this list will be of a pretty grandiose and serious variety, but not all. At times, rather than going for complete destruction of his enemies, Loki would rather annoy the Hel out of them. For instance, the time Loki turned Asgard’s greatest warrior into a frog.
read more - Complete Guide to Marvel Easter Eggs in Thor: Ragnarok
In Walter Simonson’s Thor #364, Loki uses Surtur’s discarded magic sword to finally make his brother croak (oh, yes I did). The adventure was wonderfully silly, but it had the same mythic feel as the rest of Simonson’s run and portrays Loki as the egomaniacal chaos bringer with a sense of humor fans have grown to love. Since the classic tale, a frog named Puddlegulp found a sliver of Mjolnir and is able to transform in Throg, so Loki’s magic continues to add wondrous and strange elements into the Marvel universe.
Start with Walt Simonson's Thor Vol. 1.
This little episode was mentioned in passing in Thor: Ragnarok, which also kind of ties in to...
Video of Thor Ragnarok / Snake Story Scene
He Turned Into a Snake & Stabbed Thor
OK, so this one didn't actually happen on-screen, but it's too good not to mention. In Thor: Ragnarok, Thor recounts this very traumatizing experience from his childhood to Bruce and Valkyrie illustrate just how mischievous Loki can be. When they were kids, Loki transformed himself into a snake because he knows Thor loves snakes and then, after Thor picked up Snake-Loki, Loki transformed back into Loki and stabbed Thor. They were eight.

X-Men/ Alpha Flight
Believe it or not, for a while in the '80s, Alpha Flight was a pretty big deal. So when writer Chris Claremont and artist Paul Smith came out with a two part X-Men and Alpha Flight event, it garnered lots of fan attention. Like the original gathering of the Avengers, big events need big villains, and there are none bigger than Loki. In the series, Loki creates the Fire Fountain, a mystical site that can grant the mortals of Midgard super powers. Loki does all this to manipulate a pantheon of Northern Gods into believing he can do a good deed for mortals. This act brings the attention of Alpha Flight and the X-Men, and, of course, chaos ensues.
read more - What's Next for the MCU After Avengers: Endgame?
Loki tempts the heroes but they reject him, foiling his scheme for a power up. The whole event is a testament to Loki’s nature as a manipulator, a being who sees others as pawns for his games and power grabs, but also includes awesome character work by Claremont, particularly on Loki, a character that would seem to be out of the creator’s mutant wheelhouse, but what can we say, a character like Loki just brings out the best in people.
Tumblr media
Acts of Vengeance
One of the more beloved early Marvel crossovers, Acts of Vengeance was a simple premise played to perfection. A stranger convinces a group of master villains to team up in order to bring down their foes. The stranger convinces the baddies that switching opponents would be the key to a villainous victory. Of course it was Loki.
It seems like such a simple plan, but beneath the surface, Loki’s plan was just a way to ferment chaos in the hero and villain community. The master villains were a who’s who of Marvel evil. Dr. Doom, Mandarin, Magneto, the Red Skull, the Kingpin, and the Wizard made up Loki’s cadre of villains. The God of Mischief engineered a breakout at the Vault to give the master villains a group of soldiers to send against the heroes. The chaos that followed was pure spectacle with the villains turning on each other while the heroes were occupied by the escapees.
read more: The Weirdest Thanos Moments in Marvel History
Loki’s plan was pure mischief, why else team up Magneto, a Holocaust survivor, with the Red Skull, a Nazi war criminal? Things turned ugly quickly while Loki basked in the turmoil. Loki did it all in the hopes that, during the chaos, the Avengers would be destroyed. He may have been defeated by the end of the story but Acts of Vengeance was such an awesome Loki story because of the cunning way he used the biggest heroes and villains of the Marvel Universe like pawns in his private little game.
Tumblr media
Blood Brothers: Loki Wins
This grand but unsettling tale of Loki’s ultimate victory written by Robert Rodi with stunning painted artwork by Esad Ribic is a psychological look into the character of Loki. This story may or may not be in continuity (it’s hard to tell with immortals), but in Loki #1-4, Loki finally wins. He has achieved his goal of total victory and has finally put Thor into bondage. He has it all, and as the series unfolds, it becomes clear he has never had less.
read more: Complete Schedule of Upcoming Marvel MCU Movies
The series opens with Thor chained to a dungeon wall and Loki, finally, as ruler of Asgard. The tale of a villain triumphant magnificently morphs into a tragedy focusing on why Loki, the forgotten son, hates Thor and his Asgardian brethren so much. The series spotlights Loki’s brilliance just as brightly as it does his fatal character flaws, ones that will never allow him to triumph completely and leaves him in tragic cycle of violence and shame.
Like all great villains, Loki sees himself the hero of his own story. If this is true, this series is the tragic fall of a hero that only exists in his own mind.

Lady Loki
After the latest of the many Ragnaroks that have taken place in the pages of Thor, the God of Thunder had to find the lost Asgardians and restore them to their godly form. When Loki returned, the other gods were shocked that he now took the form of a woman.
read more: What is the Sound in the Avengers: Endgame Credits?
As a woman, Loki faked magnanimity, fooling his fellow gods into trusting hher. Ah, but this is one of the greatest examples of Loki’s trickery as he was secretly in the restored body of none other than Lady Sif. While in the form of a woman, Loki traveled back in time, killed Odin’s father, Bor, arranged for Odin to adopt him in the first place, convinced the Asgardians that the heroic Beta Ray Bill was a shape shifting Skrull, and basically enjoying the irony of secretly inhabiting a body that his brother once fervently and frequently boinked. When Thor finally found out that Loki inhabited Sif’s body, he managed to free his former lover, but Loki had the last laugh forging an alliance with Dr. Doom which left many Asgardians dead.
Loki’s time as a woman was one his/her most deliciously evil eras, when the trickster was at the height of his game of layered manipulation.
Tumblr media
His Very Own Avengers and Siege
During and after his time as a woman, Loki turned his attentions to the Avengers and the rest of the Marvel Universe. During this period, Loki joined the Cabal, a cadre of villains that pulled the strings of the Marvel Universe when Norman Osborn was the head of SHIELD (which Norman called HAMMER).
As a member of the Cabal, Loki was  able to use the guise of the Scarlet Witch to cajole Hank Pym into forming a squad of Avengers Loki would control. Loki couldn't resist manipulating a team he helped create into being a hit squad of his own. When Cassie Lang, also known as Stature, found out and expelled Loki he gained revenge by manipulating Norman Osborn into attacking Asgard (which was located in Broxton, Oklahoma at the time). With this gambit, Loki was able to manipulate the heroes and villains of the Marvel Universe. He served in the familiar position of wild card creating as much chaos in the lives of evildoers as he did the benevolent forces.
read more - Avengers: Endgame and the Gamora Problem
At the end, Loki was seemingly killed by the Sentry, but not before Osborn was brought down and a new power structure took the reins from HAMMER. Loki was the wrench in the works, the agent of change that fractured both sides of the eternal battle of light and darkness, and he did it with style.
Video of Thor’s Coronation Scene - Thor (2011) Movie CLIP HD
He Sabotaged Thor's Coronation
In the first Thor film, Loki sabotages Thor's coronation by letting Frost Giants into Asgard. When Thor seeks revenge against Jotunheim, Odin banishes him to Earth where he first meets Jane & co. and learns about Midgard.

Back on Asgard, Loki is up to his usual games, taking control of the kingdom while Odin is in Odinsleep (or, as I like to call it, Odinnap). In order to preserve his power, Loki straight-up tries to kill Thor, which is not the first time that happens, nor will it be the last.

Tumblr media
Kid Loki
After his foray as a woman, Loki was transformed into a twelve year old child. This transformation turned Loki from one of the most malevolent characters in the Marvel Universe to one of the most sympathetic. As a kid, Loki is a completely different being, one that still has a gift for untruths and misdirection, but one with a huge heart and a kind spirit. He didn't remember his past sins but he is all too aware of them, making him determined to use his ability to lie, cheat, and steal to help people. Kid Loki had a special interest in the people of Earth, loved the internet, particularly viral videos and memes, and spent hours on his Stark Phone.
Of course, Loki gonna Loki...
Video of Loki's Arrival | The Avengers (2012) Movie Clip
Tried to Take Over Earth...Again
Three Avengers movies ago, Loki was the Big Bad trying to rule Earth with an iron fist... or, you know, a Scepter.
Having been given command of the Chitauri by none other than Thanos himself, Loki shows up on Earth, grabs the Tesseract, and begins plotting his ultimate oppression. It's not a good look for the God of Mischief, and one that is obviously foiled by the Avengers... though not before Loki allows himself to be captured in order to take out the helicarrier.

Video of Thor Ragnarok / Loki Death Play Scene (Matt Damon Cameo)
Loki Pretends to Be Odin, Rules Asgard
As we see in the first act of Thor: Ragnarok, Loki has been quite mischievous during Thor's absence from Asgard. After returning from the presumed-dead, Loki messes with Odin's memory, leaves him at a home for old folks in New York City, and then rules Asgard in his stead. During his tenure as Odin-Loki, Loki erects a statue in his own honor and stages a production called "The Tragedy of Loki," which he watches again and again. Actors who make cameos in the big "Tragedy of Loki" scene include: Matt Damon, Sam Neill, and Luke Hemsworth.
And with Loki's mysterious fate in Avengers: Endgame, not to mention the Disney+ TV series on the way, there are plenty of devious Loki moments in our MCU future, too!

I am full to bursting with rambles about the romances in my own stories so congrats Tumblr, you are now my writing dump box.
I will babble a lot.
Adventures of the Sea Siren: High fantasy, sea-faring adventures.
Fen/Maeve-- Main couple.  Captain Farrell “Fen” Armant is a newly reformed ne’er-do-well pirate.  Lady Maeve Endeleva, noblewoman of the Tarshaani court, was the one to convince the Calif to pardon him, moved by some strange pity.  He does not make that decision easy for her early in the story, being kind of a pain in the ass and slipping back into old habits.  They clash a lot initially but eventually come to have a friendship that blossoms slowly into love.  Married at end of the series.
Fisrock/Tabitha-- I think they were supposed to be my already together stable happy married couple, lol.
Evander/Cappy-- Junior member of the crew and apprentice mage Lady Maeve picks up later on their adventures.  They crush on each other.  It is cute.
Allemant/Rura-- Teased.  Ship’s scientist/inventor guy and a Mysterious Waif they found frozen in ice.  I suppose the appeal would mostly be Allemant’s utter science nerdy glee in figuring out how she worked (she’s not exactly human).
Relligon/Aisha and Relligon/Nashiko-- Teased.  Loyal bodyguard of Lady Maeve’s with either another member of the crew or a local girl they picked up with Rura.  Don’t think I had anything major planned with them, maybe just little teases here and there for both of them.
Venderick/Rowena-- Villain couple.  Hella unhealthy in the end but they seem genuinely enamored of each other at first.  It does not end well.
Artelia: Queen of Eevalond: High fantasy, kickass single mom queen rules a country and fights evil ‘n stuff.
Haegan/Artelia-- Loyal soldier/guard and the queen herself.  Artelia did genuinely love her husband and misses him terribly but has been rather lonely since he passed.  Haegan is always there and caring and supportive and has been nursing an affection for her for a while now.  The UST is real.
The DM Can’t Roll For This: Comedy.  Local D&D-type chapter finds their real life problems seeping into their campaign.
Kenji/Helena-- Main girl and dorky sword nerd newbie.  Helena awkwards all around him and he’s mostly either oblivious or hilaritized.
Bruce/Rika-- Married couple that games together.  They play as two tanks with Belligerent Sexual Tension.  IRL they are adorably smoopy.
J.C./Casey-- Perpetually shy Shrinking Violet and oversensitive drama queen.  She eventually develops the spine needed to ask him out.
Eternal Skies: Sci-Fi/Steampunk, advanced city is isolated out in the middle of a seemingly endless ocean.
Levi/Aya-- Loyal bodyguard and the Empress of the city.  The idea for the story first came out of a dream but frustrations with the outrageous injustice that was Aldnoah.Zero’s Slaine/Asseylum not being a thing reignited my deep and burning thirst for Bodyguard Crush ships so I revisited this idea and that kind of relationship dynamic fit right in with them, lol.  Levi’s family tried to leave the city once, caught themselves in a storm, they drowned, the then-princess Ayalin saved him.  He is hopelessly devoted to her and constantly worries about her safety.  As well he should, given that Aya is sometimes reckless and prone to battling bouts of crippling depression.  He doesn’t know it, but she’s loved him nearly as long as he’s loved her because he, in her own words, was “the first person who made me want to live”.
Jobei/Hiriko-- Teased.  Jobei lucks into the airship guard via a chance meeting with Aya, and Hiriko sort of becomes his trainer.  She’s intense and scary and very intimidating sometimes but he kinda likes her.  She comes to be kind of fond of him too, though she’d never admit it.  I still don’t know if I wanna make it canon or leave it up in the air yet.
Four Seasons Warriors: Magical Girl type series, themed around the four seasons.  (Duh.)
Sean/Soldad-- Stable couple that gets together early on.  Sean is in theater.  For some reason I always read his dialogue in a British accent, I should do something with that.  Soldad is bubbly cheerleader type.  They are full of playful banter and when she eventually confesses to the Masquerade he takes it rather well.
Chase/Autumn-- My Slap Slap Kiss couple.  Chase likes to flirt with her and she gets so confused and offended and “What is this thing called human flirtation my files contain no such data.” and acts prickly to him sometimes but then sometimes is like, “Two can play at this game, Mister.” and banters back.  For the most part he’ll shrug and back off when she’s in NOPE mode but when she teases back he’s like, “OKAY WAIT I’M SO CONFUSED.” and they basically bumble around accidentally being good supportive friends to each other in their low moments until they finally have to have the dreaded, “Okay what is this relationship exactly?”  Which starts as an argument but ends with kisses.  I mostly have it to add lulz. :)
Mitsuki/Lina-- Mitsuki is a shy nerdy geek type and Lina is the cool stoic big sister of the group.  So a big Geek Boy/Stoic Girl dynamic here.  They have a Meet Cute early on and Mitsuki is hopelessly crushing on her for much of the story.  Lina is oblivious to most of it but tolerates his hanging around, as it keeps the bullies off him.  She gets a temporary love interest (Sedaris) that is the polar opposite of Mitsuki--tall, charming, good with words, classically handsome, basically fangirl bait--and falls for him pretty quickly but PSYCH! turns out he’s evil and just wants to kill her.  Mitsuki is a really supportive shoulder to cry on and she warms up to him soon after that.  They get together about three-quarters through.
Adam/Elsie-- Elsie is cripplingly shy and timid and has had a crush on him forever.  He’s oblivious.  He remains oblivious until Trickster, a flirtatious villain with a thing for Elsie, involves him in a hostage situation.  They get together.  His (almost) death triggers her super-powered form.
Trickster/Elsie-- One-sided on Trickster’s side.  He likes to flirt with all the girls and annoy them but Elsie he particularly takes a shine too.  Hypnotizes her into serving him once.  It doesn’t stick.  Continues to try and get under her skin whenever he can.
Trickster/Brittney-- Brittney is actually a clingy jealous ex of Chase’s.  Through some odd events she falls in with Trickster, and they hit it off... remarkably well.  To the girls’ chagrin and disgust.
The Geek In Glass Slippers: Basically Cinderella at Comic-Con.
Chris (Leonid)/Cindy-- Like a lot of modern Cinderella retellings, I had the prince and the Cinderella equivalent meet before the ‘ball’.  They were actually friends in high school.  Then he went off and got rich and famous. :D  They’re just your basic nerd couple really.  She fights his fangirl army in the climax.  It is awesome and hilarious.
Gutter Glamour: Steampunk/Historical Romance, three brothers gotta get married before their grandpa kicks it in order to secure their fortunes.  Family drama and fiendish plots ensue.
Evander/Rita-- Main couple.  Rita was a homeless urchin Evander encountered in the streets and treated to lunch.  Having no luck finding a wife elsewhere, he returns to her the next day and proposes marriage.  They are awkward dorks together.  It is precious.
Sebastian/Vivian-- Evander’s more responsible older brother and his spacey artist girlfriend.  They just recently got engaged at the start of the story so his search for a bride is over fairly quickly, lol.  They have a baby partway through the story.
Destan/Lilian-- Lilian, a prim and proper seamstress, doesn’t think all that much of wild, trouble-making Destan when he comes to call and begs her parents for her hand at first.  But she can’t deny she’d be marrying well so she doesn’t put up much protest.  They become rather... comfortable with each other over the story.
Aidelaird/Evaline-- Happily married couple.  They are so sickeningly in love it is almost revolting.
John/Penny-- Past relationship.  Penny passed on before the beginning of the story.  She and John had a nice little Sunshiney Optimist/Grumpy Grouch thing going on.
Farraday/Tamara-- ‘nother happily married couple, mostly got a Savvy Guy/Energetic Girl dynamic.  And hella kids.  Tamara wears the pants in the relationship, and Farraday is most just constantly amused by her antics.
Donovan/Cherise-- Yet another married couple although much less happy, lol.  Both schemers and plotters, Donovan is still hung up on Evaline, who rejected him in favor of his older brother way back when, and Cherise is a crafty seductress whose womanly wiles play a big role in her manipulations.  She initially snared Donovan in an attempt to get away from her family, only to have Donovan wind up working for her family’s company out of resentment at his own family.  So their relationship is a bit, uh... frigid.  And complicated.
Devin/Tia-- Hella unhealthy.  Devin only married Tia to fulfill the requirements for Grandpa John’s will, and thus inherit the family’s fortune.  Tia tries her best to be a good wife but Devin isn’t interested in being loving or kind.  Protagonists break them up and pointedly keep her in the family and ostracize Devin.
Haegar/Ianna-- Antagonist couple.  A more stable and cooperative version of Donovan/Cherise.  Their machinations and schemes work more harmoniously with them as a cohesive team.
Nolan/Ingrid-- Semi-sleezy politician and snobby upper-class lady.  Despite said character flaws they’re rather happy together.
The Protectoress: High Fantasy/Gateway Fantasy.  Every hundred years an asteroid fragment carrying an ancient evil immortal despot comes to terrorize and destroy a magical realm.  The power to stop him reincarnates into a partner team of a Chosen One from that realm, and a Protectoress from ours.  Story is about the last partner team.
Ren/Lori-- The Chosen One and the titular Protectoress.  Mostly inspired by MeruPuri and also just because I have a thing for relationships where the older member is sortofkindofbutreallynotreally a surrogate parent/guardian to the younger member.  So Ren starts getting hot as he gets older and Lori has this moment of, “Well look at YOU!”  They have a simmering kind of slow-burn chemistry, Lori naturally feels very protective of him (and not just because her inherited magical powers make her feel that way) and comes to care about him a whole lot, but holds herself back from pushing anything until Ren is older and actively starting to pursue his own feelings for her.
Sakura Squad: Sci-Fi war drama IN SPAAAAAACE.  Protagonists become a mini propaganda shoujo heroine squad to inspire hope in the masses.
Keiji/Aiko-- Aiko is smitten at first sight and has a lot of trouble making herself coherent around him.  He mostly just thinks she’s cute at first, and brings a good vibe to the team, but unconsciously starts taking steps to protect her in combat.  His freakout when he learns about her secret Sakura Squad doings are partly motivated by his fear of her dying.  Through some close calls they quickly warm up to each other and get together towards the end.
Ryuuki/Masayo-- Ryuuki is the fangirl-bait ladies’ man who is always flirting with the girls on the team, but finds himself inexplicably flustered and awkward around shy mousy timid Wrench Wench Masayo.  She’s oblivious to his affections and her own feelings for most of the story.
Tarou/Kiyomi-- They have a supportive, friendly, playful banter kind of friendship.  Always kind of low-key flirting with each other.  Kiyomi fervently denies that they’re anything but friends but they’re caught later making out in a closet.   It is hilarious.
Shiki/Kaname-- Happy stable married couple.  Kaname wears the pants hard.  Sunk at the end when Kaname dies in battle.
Starship 227: Sci-Fi.  Elite investigative team for the galactic government fly around in their spaceship and have adventures and stuff.
Arden/Kina-- Ship captain and cute resident nurse.  Arden also has a female first mate that you’d think he might get together with in a Slap Slap Kiss fashion but nope, they just don’t like each other and are also half-siblings oops.  Arden is constantly hitting on Kina or looking for excuses to see her and she’s somewhat oblivious at first but soon grows to have feelings for him as well.
Squadron 15/Haven Academy: Your basic superhero high school.
Redbird/Firelily (Aiden/”Lily” Keliannar)-- Main couple.  Very Brooding Boy Gentle Girl.  Redbird is awkward as hell around her and she makes him go all blushy but he can be real sweet and protective and caring and she just warms up to him more and more over the story and becomes protective over him too and there’s a lot of mutual caring and concern for each other.  They get together later.
Shard/Vapor (Cliff/Shawna)-- Shawna’s dated around and actually has a boyfriend at the start of the story, whom she breaks up with because he’s a ~dramawhore~.  Shard lowkey has a bit of a crush on her the whole story and she doesn’t exactly discourage him and jokes about how she should totally date him all the time.  Eventually he realizes he really likes her and plucks up the nerve to ask her out.  He is huge and she is tiny and it is cute.
Quickster/Silkworm (Miguel/Kimiko)-- Just cute kids who like each other being cute together and going on fun dates.
Captain/Illusion (James/Janet)-- Team Dad and Team Mom.  They have a playful, comfortable sort of relationship and just like to spend time around each other away from the craziness of their “kids”.
Captain/Sketcher (James/Ellie)-- Teased.  Not emphasized much but hinted on occasion that Sketcher has a crush on him.  It never develops into much and she forgets about it quietly as the story goes on.
Crimson Ray/Silver Shield (Leonid/Alisa)-- Sweet good-natured nice boy and sweet good-natured Ill Girl.  They are lowkey and quiet and very heartwarming.  Also endlessly tragic when the ship is sunk with Alisa’s Heroic Sacrifice to save the city.  I milk the angst for all it’s worth.  It is almost mean.
Flint/Solar (Andrew/Doris)-- Happy married couple.  They kind of needle and poke each other playfully and make each other flustered.  It’s cute.
Nighteagle/Cosmar (Douglas/Zoe)-- Stoic introverted Angsty McAngsterson and the bubbliest, sunniest, most energetic ball of energy ever.  Cosmar has a massive, not-so-secret crush on him and it confuses and baffles the hell of out Nighteagle.
White Eyestones: High fantasy war drama.
Indin/Elarin-- Happy married couple.  They have their rough patches but they smooth them out quickly.  Sunk when Indin dies halfway through the story.
Elsiron/Thelnaela-- This one was almost kind of an accident?  Lol IDK I just really liked writing Thelnaela being all teasing and playful around him and their banter almost wrote itself and I was like, “Ah yes.  This should be a thing.”
Winds of Ikilia: Fantasy quest in an asian-inspired world.  To try and win a war against an evil empire a crown prince kidnaps a young tribesgirl with mysterious powers.  Her friends come after her to rescue her.  They have adventures.
Kai/Nadi-- Main couple.  Hella cute.  Been friends since childhood, get matched by the matchmaker early on in the story.  Have a very deliberate Older Girl/Younger Boy thing going on.  They spend a lot of time being worried about each other and having playful banter and saying heartwarming things to each other that make my character Tiri groan and roll her eyes.  Decide to start officially referring to each other as betrothed and fiance partway through the story.  Married in the epilogue.
Ainusan/Ta Lian-- Oh gosh this is... *giggles*  This is actually kind of a running gag.  See my protagonist Nadi once disguises herself as a noblewoman while she’s looking for her friend and Prince Ainusan comes in and basically confuses her for Princess Ta Lian and is rather impressed by her spunk, being that he thought she was more of a ditz.  Ta Lian herself hears about his poor first impression of her later, from Nadi, and is so OFFENDED and ANNOYED and “That jerk I liked him!” and from then on I basically just make cracks about how they should totally get together.  And then the payoff comes in the epilogue where I reveal that they totally did.  I did it because it was funny.
Ainusan/Kiria-- Teased.  Little bitty hints here and there that Kiria has a tiny crush on him.  Nothing major.
San/Tiri-- Teased.  Tiri likes to flirt at him and he sometimes banters back.  Doesn’t go anywhere but provides much lulz
San/Kiria-- Also another case where little hints are dropped that Kiria has a crush on him.  What can I say, she likes dem older boys.
Korda/Keyla-- Married couple.  Nadi’s parent’s.  No big.
Wings: Magical girlfriend story.  Fairy family gets stuck living with normal human family for a while.  Their kids fall in love.  Drama ensues.
Hideki/Elaina-- Main couple.  It’s pretty much love at first sight for Hideki, and he immediately wants to ask her out.  She’s thrilled at his attention and forwardness and caring and becomes super protective of him and they are basically adorable at each other.  They get married partway through, in a magic ritual that will serve to protect him from fairy machinations.
Kubo/Haruna-- Married couple.  Hideki’s parents.  Not much else to be said about them.  They’re stable and healthy and long-suffering together.
Oberon/Titania-- Their marital problems are the driving background noise behind literally every single problem the two families ever have.  They seriously need counseling.
Ronan/Amara-- Married couple.  Elaina’s parents.  Amara had a lot of bitterness in her heart from a previous first love (a human, ordered killed by Oberon when he found out because he’s hissy about fairy/human relationships because Titania’s a cheating skank with them) but Ronan managed to soften her and help her find a measure of healing and happiness.
Tallas/Elaina-- One-sided.  Tallas is a fairy noble who has a creepy interest in Elaine and has on one occasion tried to ask her father for her hand.  Ronan sensed he was bad news and vetoed that right away.  Amara was later approached with the same offer and told Tallas where to shove it.  He persists in trying to woo her himself but she’s not flattered or interested and he basically slips more and more into an adolescent hissy fit of If I Can’t Have You, outright brainwashing and threatening Hideki in one case.  Roundly thwarted in the end.

Negging Game: The Philosophy of Negging and How to Use It Right
Rather than being afraid to tread on toes, the art of negging is an experiment in creating exciting emotional connection.
In the Google definition, you see negging described as a backhanded compliment or insult, strategically designed to make another person question their own confidence and give you their approval.
But I think this too-literal interpretation doesn’t quite hit the mark. Negging is something even good friends do with each other. Even if they’re not aware they do it. Nevertheless, ask someone if they respond emotionally to negs and they’ll probably say, “Hell, no, I don’t have low self-esteem; I’m confident in who I am.” There’s an element of truth to that statement, but again it misses the mark…
The truth about negging women
Actually, if someone can’t laugh at themselves a little, or be challenged in any way, that probably speaks more about their level of insecurity than if they were to laugh or exclaim in reaction to a neg.
I remember a comedian—Joe Rogan—saying something like, “You know that I consider you a good friend if I make fun of you.” So think of negging as the Ying to the Yang in playful banter.
Negging women the right way – With all the right negging examples
If your aim is emotional domination or manipulation, then you’re way off my friend. If you aim at fun for the both of you, now you’re on the mark. Simply put, it can be exciting to engage in verbal and behavioral play. Always having to be agreeable is… boring. [Read: Nice guy syndrome – 15 reasons why girls find nice guys terribly boring]
The following philosophies provide insight into how negging women can be a great way to create exciting chemistry, and how it can blow up in your face if done poorly. Enjoy!
Negging women philosophy #1 Be the doctor. As you’re talking to a girl, imagine you’re the doctor and she’s your patient. Rather than being in her company to please her, you observantly assess and diagnose whether she’s healthy and note her quirks. This is a great mindset if you normally tend to be very agreeable.
This pulls you out of the people-pleasing frame, into one where you actually “see” the girl, including her flaws and contradictions. A great way to balance out agreeableness with discernment. You want the best girl for you, not just any girl. [Read: 35 really important questions to ask a girl you just met]
Negging women philosophy #2 Unleash the beast. Lots of guys these days want to be women—to be as agreeable and similar as possible to their partner. But there’s a reason for gender distinctions! She doesn’t want you to be a woman, otherwise she would be dating a woman. So, own your masculinity and be a little cocky at times.
Get out of the mental manipulation mindset. Instead use a negging as a way of showing the girl your more animal alpha side—the one without a mask. Show her you’re not here just for her enjoyment, but that you’re an independent person with boundaries, standards, and opinions.
Negging can be an expression of the animal side of you. You sometimes actually do find things about any girl to be annoying, kooky, or goofy, and you naturally disagree with what she says at times. The key here’s just to be honest: unfiltered, transparent, blunt. [Read: Feminine guys – 50 feminine traits that make you less than manly]
Negging women philosophy #3 Neg via text but put an x 🙂 after. Okay now I’m giving away keys to the kingdom. This one shouldn’t work as well as it does… but it does. I won’t say just how FAR you can go with it, but it gets pretty extreme.
Put an x 🙂 after a text neg, so that she knows you’re having fun, rather than trying to score points by offending her. Again, it’s letting her feel some of your inner beast–that you’re not someone who can be easily controlled, or just here to say the right things.
Negging examples:
Only two! *Invent your own. The point isn’t to replicate these line for line!*
-You remind me of the potato I had for lunch x 🙂 *This one only really works if she’s hot and clearly confident in her level of attractiveness*
-Are you sure you went to school? x 🙂 *Perhaps she’s sending you uncreative lazy text replies* [Read: How to tease a girl over text – Get her to flirt back with you]
Negging women philosophy #4 Apologize, then neg her again. The beast can’t be fully civilized. Sometimes a girl responds and like your negs but suddenly reacts poorly to one. Perhaps that neg went a bit too far, or she suddenly became aware that you were doing it and wants to make a point. In this case, apologize sincerely and briefly.
Move on by changing the conversation, but later do it again. This is even better if you have a wry grin. A common reaction might be that she punches you, giving you the “OMG, I’m outraged” expression, which means she’s enjoying it, even though she’s shocked that you persisted.
Negging women philosophy #5 Be brief. In the words of Shakespeare, who was a master at the trickster or jester archetype, “brevity is the soul of wit.” So, don’t overdo a neg; less is more. Think of negging women as a single note amidst a large symphony of overtures.
Focusing too much on one note ruins the overall flow of an interaction. In other words, don’t rely on negging, just have it as one of the many tools you have in your arsenal. [Read: Shakespeare love quotes – 40 wise words from the bard]
Negging women philosophy #6 Don’t wait for a reaction. Ever been out with a group of friends, but there’s this one person in the group who seems to be trying too hard to get a laugh?
He says something, and then looks around, in the hopes that he gets a good reaction. He’s totally self-conscious and not just engaging in banter for the fun of the group. It’s about him. This is a bad way to approach negging.
Focus on your own self-expression and what you create together. After you make a negging statement don’t wait for her reaction. Continue as normal and let the flow of conversation continue as if it never happened. [Read: How to be funny and make people love your company]
Negging women philosophy #7 Notice her reactions. Some girls get too many compliments and cease to notice them. Or this could be the case for a bunch of other psychological reasons, such as father issues.
My general philosophy is to accept the person for who they are, rather than trying to change them. Working with their quirks in a way that makes communication an experience rather than a formality.
Negging reaction examples:
Some negging reaction examples and what they mean:
-If she laughs outrageously when you neg her, this means she’s emotionally receptive. Crank it up and throw in more similar neg spikes but don’t overdo it, as it becomes predictable. Look for the genuine things that are quirky about her.
-If she gets emotional in a less positive way this means she’s affected. You can still possibly use negs, but use them more sporadically and make sure you have a smile in your eyes and that you’re having fun. When you go too far, say sorry and move on to another topic.
-If she stays neutral, you may have a girl with a very balanced personality, so much less in the way of negs works out as more. [Read: 15 things you must know dating a girl with daddy issues]
Negging women philosophy #8 ALWAYS HAVE FUN… Or don’t do it. This one is so important I had to capitalize it. Generally, a bit of playful ‘push, pull’ is a great way to keep any relationship healthy. If you always agree, chances are you don’t have a healthy relationship because you’re not being honest with one another.
But if you neg women to make yourself feel good by making her feel bad, it comes across as resentful, bitter, needy, manipulative, or whatever. Think of neg game more like bantering with a friend, for the fun of both. [Read: How to flirt with girls – 15 secrets to make any girl fall for you]
Negging women philosophy #9 Reframe her frame. Whoever holds the frame holds the authority…
Negging examples:
Say you’re at a restaurant with a girl and you’re chowing down on some food:
Her to you: “You’re a slob.”
You to her: “We are all slobs by comparison, your Grace.” Give a curt bow. As the server approaches, “Please, could I order something for the Princess.”
The key—silly, self-amused, and not reactive. If you find it funny, then it’s good. [Read: 12 types of humor and how it affects relationships]
Negging women philosophy #10 Mix it up. Think of negs as spikes in an otherwise sunny afternoon. If the whole day was filled with spikes it would be awful. However, a little bit of pepper and salt spices up a good cut of steak.
Negging Philosophy #11 The take away. Imagine you shower a girl with engaged conversation and attention. Suddenly she stops making an effort to continue the conversation or seems distracted. In this situation, you could just work harder. But a neg in the form of a ‘take away’ means you take away from her certainty that you’re into her no matter what she does.
Negging examples:
-Start looking around, focusing elsewhere, when she becomes too comfortable. This is a good way of making her less certain of how much she’s won over your attention.
-If she’s attractive or super-hot, agree with her when she tells you about some physical feature she’s insecure about. She’s probably already waiting for you to say, “No, no, no! Are you crazy? You’re stunning!”
-Pull away after showing her lots of attention and engaged conversation, so that she misses it. She’ll work to get back into your good books. [Read: Attraction theory: What makes you desirable in someone’s eyes?]
Negging Philosophy #12 Be willing to fail. When you learn new forms of communication there’s an element of experimentation. So treat every conversation as an information-gathering exercise and practice, rather than a high-stake, win-lose situation. If your approach isn’t effective overall you can still gain lots of experience.
[Read: Fractionation seduction – How men seduce women using emotions]
It’s easy to be agreeable but it’s not exciting… Show her you’ve got some Beast in you and that you’re on her level, by undermining her efforts to place you in a box with some negging. She’ll love you for your fearlessness.
