I first saw him in The Witcher series, then played The Witcher 3, then started reading the books. I am definitely obsessed with this man. And if I write too much on Geralt, I'm libel to make headcanons or maybe even an entire fic on just Geralt's hair or the way his eyes seem to glow under moonlight. See? Obsession. He is also my comfort character. I go to sleep and imagine running in the woods to this man. What the actual fuck?

Walter Marshall - Night Hunter (2018)

Seeing as how I am currently writing fic about this man, I think it goes to show this is a well-crafted yet moldable character and he can do no wrong in my opinion. Unless he dates Rachel, that's wrong in my opinion. She doesn't even have a last name.

Joel Miller - The Last of Us Games, The Last of Us series

Now I would be remiss to not mention Pedro's portrayal of Joel Miller (and that it solidified his status a my cool slutty daddy). But I must talk about how Troy Baker's voice in the game gave me strong Daddy vibes and gave me my second crush on a video game character after Lara Croft when I was a kid.

Ethan Hunt - Mission Impossible films (1996-Present)

If you know me, you know I have seen every Mission Impossible film since the first came out when I was 9. I was, and will most likely always be, obsessed with these movies. I love the heart-stopping action moments, the raw emotions, and I really like when Tom Cruise almost dies in every movie.

Peter Parker - Multiple pieces of media but I will focus on the films

In 2002, I was 15 and liked the older man that was Tobey Maguire (I was a superfan of his and of Peter). I had a Spider-man trapper keeper for goodness sake! In 2012, I was 25 and I was crushing on Andrew Garfield as a contemporary, someone in my age group. In 2017, I was turning 30 and had a crush on what, to me, seemed like a little boy in Tom Holland (he was over 18 but still). Either way, when asked what my favorite superhero is, I always say Spider-Man.

Bernadine Harris - Waiting to Exhale (1995)

I was 8 when this movie came out and my Momma let me watch it with her. Little did I know, my mother was ready to divorce my cheating father. This character spoke to me and continues to speak to me. I still see my Momma when I watch this movie. She was so badass. And so sexy.

Olaf - Frozen films

Fun fact: I used to collect snowman figurines and snow globes. Knowing this, my young niece made me watch the first film. Josh Gad as an inept snowman who loves the idea of summer is so fucking dramatic that I watched this movie on my own plenty of times. I love him so much and I just wanted to cuddle him.

Castiel - Supernatural (2005-2020)

I started watching Supernatural by watching the live airing of Simon Said, the worst episode of the series some would say. But I stuck around. I wanted to see what the kids on LiveJournal were so excited about. Cue season 4 and this son of a bitch just waltzes in with his wings and his coat and his chapped lips that, to this day, have never seen any moisture. And I fell in love. Fun fact: my dad named his dog Castiel.

Frank Reynolds (but specifically as Ongo Goblogian) - It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

I have artwork in my bedroom over my nightstand of Ongo. This entire episode was gold to me. It was early season 8, I believe. Charlie was doing a Richard Grieco thing, Dennis was trying to get his erotic memoirs made into a Fifty Shades of Grey type thing. Mac was in the duster. Dee was in a smut film. Just golden. But then Frank was this Andy Warhol-esque art collector just doing the most. It was beautiful.

Louise Belcher - Bob's Burgers series and film

Louise, what can I say about this wonderful human that hasn't already been said? Louise is what I wish trauma didn't take from me. Louise likes to slap beautiful people, as do I. She is confused when she likes a boy, and so am I some of the time. And Louise has her comfort clothing item, her hat. I have my froggy robe and my penguin socks. In the latest season that just ended, it was pretty much confirmed that Louise is non-binary, as am I. My fiancee compares me to Louise on a daily basis and I just smile and tell her she's 100% correct because she is. Louise embodies me when I was 9 years old, right before childhood trauma took all of that away and replaced it with an old curmudgeon. I love my sweet Louise and no one can ever tell me that my love is unwarranted.

So, I went to see Spider-Man: No Way Home two days ago, and yeah I know I'm late to the party but between the pandemic and the holidays I couldn't go sooner. Anyway, I LOVED it, with all myself, so here are my comments/thoughts/opinions no one asked for

The beginning was so chaotic and funny, like Peter you don't have time to talk to Happy and May, the cops ARE COMING FOR YOU

Loved that his teachers knew he was innocent, bit awkward but they had the spirit

Matt Murdock OMG! Even if it was a small cameo, I was so glad to see him

Honestly, even though Strange should have known better, I can understand why he wanted to help Peter. He knew he had been through a lot.

The first apparition of doc ock was fabulous, and so the green goblin's. Dafoe and Molina were just as good in the roles as they were 20 years ago, and that takes fucking talent.

Also, Doc Ock was so pissed I loved it

Doctor Strange talking about the fact that the villains had to go back to their timeline to avoid affecting the multiverse mirrored what he said in Infinity War about not esitating to sacrifice Tony or Peter for the greater good. What really strikes me is that Stephen went to being irresponsible to being the only one able to make the toughest choices.

The scene where Doctor Strange separates peter's soul was amazing, THE SPIDEY SENSE DESIGNED LIKE IN THE COMICS I FANGIRLED

Also all the fight between Strange and Peter was epic, the visual effect were stunning

The scene where Peter is watching James Jonah on the maxi screen blaming him (as if it wasn't enough all the blame he was already feeling) was poetic cinema. It portrayed such heaviness.

ANDREW GARLFIELD AND TOBEY MAGUIRE WHEN I TELL YOU ME AND MY BROTHER SCREAMED

Listen, as soon as I saw Andrew Garfield I knew he was gonna be the one to save MJ. Still, the scene was fucking emotional.

"There's gotta be a Black Spider-Man out there somewhere." MILES MORALES IS COMING BITCHES

"So long, kid" THAT BROKE MY HEART, THANKS. I think in that moment, Stephen was proud of Peter, because he knew how much strenght it takes to make a decision that can hurt you, that can hurt somebody you care for, for the greater good.

The conversation between Happy and Peter at the end was what moved me the most. Happy was talking about Tony, unaware of the fact that Peter was there, he was there to tell him they had won, he was there to see his last smile, to hear his last "kid". And Happy doesn't know it.

Overall, what I really enjoyed about this movie is that it was a true Spider-Man celebration. It had all the themes you can find in a Spider-man comic: responsibility, courage, fun. The story was well built, and the choice to involve characters from all the other Spider-Man movies really paid off, mostly because the actors were so great it felt like not a day had passed since they last played their characters.

Requests for new stories

So. Since I’ve finished writing the “This is killing me” series, focused on Doctor Spencer Reid, and to celebrate my 100 followers (thank you so much you guys, I never thought so many of you would like my writing ❤🎉) I’d like to try and write some new things. So I’ve been thinking. There are a few male characters who inspire me a lot, and I’d like to give them a shot. Keep in mind this whole thing is still pretty new to me. That being said, I would like to focus on writing about male  characters FOR NOW; once I’ll get more comfortable, I’d like to try and write about female characters as love interests too, since I mostly  identify as bisexual.

Then, I often write from my own point of view, as a cis woman BUT I’d like to be more inclusive, so if you have special requests for a story, don’t hesitate to ask for it. I’ll try and do my best. I’m always open to learn. I'll also try to post stories that are more gender neutral.

I’m a part of a lot of fandoms, and I’d like to include as many as I can.

Also, keep in my mind my blog is NSFW. You have to be over 18 to request specific tropes that include sex. I'm also never going to   write about rape, or any form of disturbing non-consensual physical abuse. I'm also not comfortable with certain kinks (I'm sorry, but the whole ✨daddy✨ thing freaks me out, even with severe daddy issues 🥴, and insults, like one character being verbally abusive, like crazy name-calling and overly degrading shit...I don’t know man, I don’t get the appeal, but hey, to each their own !)

I watched Hannibal - The Movie - recently, and - don’t judge me - but the seen where Clarice keeps Hannibal from leaving with handcuffs has given me ideas. So this wouldn’t be a sentence to incorportate, but more of a situation. You’re good, but the man you love is seen as the “bad guy”. He needs to pay and get arrested for what he’s done. You attach him to you with handcuffs, lots of tension follows, he begs for his freedom, threatens to cut your hand, but ultimately can’t, and either cuts his own hand, or you give him the key. Fucked up, I know, but I loved it.

heyo i'm watching tick tick boom. i love it. this is genuinely really good. will you talk about it? i love it when you gush about things.

Oh 🥺 you are such an angel, thank you !!! I'm so glad you're enjoying it!!! This is probably going to be long because quite frankly I’m not used to winning like this. I have so much love for this movie and everything that it is, and everything that it does. It absolutely shattered me and put me back together again and again in that way that Jonathan’s Larson’s work does so well.

God, where do I even start? I guess with the casting … which I am maintaining that I manifested. Last year I was in an introductory musical theater class and had to do an eight minute presentation. I did mine on Rent, because it’s very dear to me and I knew I would have enough to say about it. I actually ended up having too much to say and went through like five different topics before settling purely on the music itself. But that’s neither here nor there, what that presentation resulted in is me reading so much information about Jonathan Larson, including interviews with people who knew him personally, and just basically falling in love with the person he was. I was talking to Hannah (@daisybees in case anyone is not following them yet) about my presentation and would just drop in cool stories and anecdotes that I read like how he used to climb from his roof to the roof of his girlfriend’s house who lived next store and how he used to perform concerts for his friends in his tiny living room and the sheer joy he seemed to hold when he finally quit his job at the diner and like how is there not a movie about this man yet oh my god.

Naturally, Hannah asked me who I would dream-cast as him and I can’t stress how immediately I knew the answer, not even a second had passed before I was typing back ‘Andrew Garfield, but it’ll never happen.’ And then, the funniest thing happened. A few days later Tick, Tick … BOOM! was announced, with its casting, and this bitch (me) lost their damn mind.

Long story short, this movie was made for me. It’s not often that something caters so specifically to my interests and casts one of my favourite actors. Cut to November 2021 and the movie comes out in cinemas in America, and I avoid spoilers like the plague, but I can see that the response is good. Better than good, actually. The response is fantastic from theater people, and most of worries about the movie tragically somehow turning out not good subside.

Then the movie comes out on Netflix, and I wait until Sunday, and I watch it with my best friend over a zoom call. And I cry during the opening number, and I cry because Andrew has embodied Jonathan so perfectly, and I cry during ‘Sunday’ when I see all the little cameos of theater people, and I cry when Freddy gets sick, and I cry because I know the Superbia workshop doesn’t lead anywhere, and I cry because Robin de Jesus is so good in this, and I cry for most of the second half, and I sob through the Sondheim voice-mail, and I sob at the ending, and I sob for at least 15 minutes following the credits while Hannah is also sobbing on their end and we’re both apologising and sobbing and yelling because Tick, Tick .. BOOM! above it all is a love letter. That’s what I adore most about the movie. It’s a love letter to the show, to Jonathan Larson, to the musical theater community as a whole and all the artists that make it what it is. It’s so full of love, and that seeps right into every single second. You can just tell that everyone who worked on this adores it and believes in it and believes in Jonathan and his work and it’s … so much, it really is.

It’s just more than the sum of its parts, you know? Tick, Tick ... BOOM! was a one-man monologue, and then it was a three-person musical and now it’s this beautiful ensemble film that celebrates its roots and elevates everything tenfold. I love the way it weaves in references from Rent as a kind of hint-hint-nudge-nudge to people who know but stands so entirely on its own two feet. There is so much power in that, and it pains me so much that the theater community lost Jonathan so young, and that he never got to see the impact he would have. The fact that his lesser-known musical is a massive hit 25 years after his death … like I will cry if I think about it for too long.

There is just something so magic about the movie. I haven’t even gotten into specifics because it's impossible for me to break down moments and numbers that I loved when there's so many. Honestly, I’m spearheading the Andrew Garfield Oscar campaign I can’t express how much I need this to be the role he wins for. And I want Robin de Jesus to at least get a supporting actor nomination. I don’t know if the academy will allow this movie any nominations at all let alone wins, but I personally need them.

Spidey is a total badass, while also being a total disaster. The humor is spot on. In this one, he is still a teenager, solo vigilante, who has been doing his thing for about a year. Nick Fury recruits him to train under SHIELD, and be the leader of a team consisting of other powered teenagers (Luke Cage, aka Power Man, Danny Rand, aka Iron Fist, Sam Alexander, aka Nova and Ava Ayala, aka White Tiger). It’s a story about growing as an individual, as a leader, and as a part of a team. The developing friendships between all characters shine through over time, and Nick Fury is a good mentor who gives Spidey and his team actual training and support. As someone who became a Spiderman (and yes, I know Peter insists on the use of the hyphen, but what can I say, I’m a bitch) fan through the comics, I just found this cartoon series the most relatable and entertaining and just simply lovely one, of all the ones I have seen. And this might not be true for everyone, we all have different tastes and see things in different ways and characters especially. But for me, the best Spidey will always be Ultimate Spidey. 

I did really enjoy the Andrew Garfield movies though.

The question about whether or not I like Peter more as a teen or an adult... I know this sounds like a cop out, but I like them both equally. 

When it comes to pitting Spidey in a romantic (or particularly dark) plot, I like to imagine him as an adult. Teenage love stories can be fun, but I just like the older ones more. 

When Peter is a kid or teenager, I like to focus more on familial bonds and friendships (and silly shenanigans). 

Though, make no mistakes, I want him to be the badass, sassy, walking disaster Spidey I know and love in both situations. (Sadly, a lot of fanworks that especially focus on the Tom Holland movies, noob him down a bit too much for me, and I’m not trying to diss those, everyone should write and read what they enjoy and that’s completely valid, but they are just not the way I like to view the character.)

Freshman Year In Queens Would Include...

- Moving to Queens and transferring to Midtown High School of Science and Technology.

~ Or as you put it: “The nerd school where I will literally be a loser amidst losers.”

- Meeting Peter Parker and Ned Leeds in seventh period math class. You arrived late and had to sit in the back between their desks. They don’t pay you much attention until Evelyn O’ Connor sticks gum in your hair while the teacher is out of the classroom. 

- Your previous shy and quiet demeanor changes to boss ass bitch attitude in a matter of seconds. Instead of exploding you calmly picked the gum from your hair and and used it to stick a “kick me” sign on Evelyn’s back.

~ SHE DOESN’T NOTICE?

- The entire rest of the period is you making rude hand gestures and faces at Evelyn’s back while Peter and Ned try not to laugh. Ned loses it when you manage to draw a dick on the back of Evelyn’s expensive white blouse without her knowing.

~ The teacher asks why you guys are laughing and you have a mini heart attack, terrified that they will tell on you.

~ Peter says he told a funny joke and the teacher believes him. You almost hug him right then and there.

- Ned invited you to sit with them at lunch.

- Meeting Flash Thompson for the first time when he tips over Ned’s food tray because “He doesn’t need to eat anymore or he’ll get even fatter.”

~ Yelling at Flash until he gives Ned enough money to buy more lunch plus ten bucks as a fee for being an asshole. 

~ “DON’T TELL ME TO CALM DOWN YOU POOR EXCUSE FOR A MAN! NOW PAY FOR HIS DAMN LUNCH AND SUFFER WHILE I TEACH YOU HOW TO MIND YOUR OWN FUCKING BUSINESS BECAUSE NED IS PERFECT THE WAY HE IS AND YOU CAN JUST SHUT UP!”

- You are now den mother and certified protector of Ned Leeds and Peter Parker.

- Denying that Peter is cute but secretly hoping that he would like you back until you find out he likes Liz Allan. After that you focus on getting him to ask Liz out because compared to her you look like the inside of someone’s asshole. (Which is sad but come on, everyone looks like trash compared to Liz Allan. (And did you get the Deadpool reference?))

- Friday Movie Nights at Peter’s apartment are born and they are EPIC. Peter always wants to watch Star Wars and you want Star Trek. (It usually ends in a pillow fight.) Ned asks for Disney movies and gets a pillow chucked at his head.

- You sign up for debate club and Model United Nations where you meet Michelle Jones, who quickly becomes your friend. Together you slay the competition at meetings.

- Peter joins photography (cuz I wanted some of Andrew Garfield’s Peter Parker in the mix.) and the mathletes with Ned.

- Actually getting top marks and sometimes outsmarting Peter, which he is not happy about. You are one of the smartest people in your grade, no doubt.

- Calling Michelle nicknames like “Mickey” and “Mick” even though it drives her crazy. 

- Discovering Peter has social anxiety like you and offering to have lunch in the storage closet if the cafeteria is too hectic. 

- Having a code word for when one of you has a panic attack or is feeling stressed. 

~ Having a code word for EVERYTHING ranging from “I’m bored let’s skip class” to “Oh my god Liz Allan is walking this way act cool.”

- Becoming VERY protective of the gang. A senior once tried to trick Peter on Senior Prank Day and you stared him down until the poor guy ran away. 

- Finding out Peter’s parents died and he lives with his Aunt May and Uncle Ben. 

~ Growing to love May like a mother and always hanging out at the Parker residence. 

- Freshman year ends with a bang. (No seriously like a fifth of the kids “do the do” on the last day IN SCHOOL and it’s kinda gross.)

- Uncle Ben dies and you stay at Peter’s apartment for a week to keep him company, not knowing he blames himself for Uncle Ben’s death. Peter never told you how Uncle Ben died but you refrained from asking. 

- Spiderman makes headlines as the new crime fighting vigilante and captures your interest. 

- You were walking home from an internship a Stark Industries™ and saw your favorite bookstore being robbed. For some stupid reason you decided to delay the robbers until the cops could arrive. 

~ “HEY UGLY! Considering the fact that you’re a criminal, I don’t think you’d be too smart-so why are ya looting a book store?”

~ Realizing the guy has two other friends and the only thing that goes through your mind is “oh shit.”

- A bigger guy holds the knife to your throat and keeps you hostage until Spiderman swings through the window to help. 

~ Him taking down all the bad guys except the one who is holding you at knife point. 

~ “Don’t come any closer or I’ll kill her faster than you can say Spiderman. Now let go of my buddies, leave the cash on the ground and I’ll give her ba-”

~ You kick the robber in the crotch and knock him to the ground, grabbing his knife and pointing it at him. 

~ “You know you should really keep the monologue short if ya want to get away. Just saying.”

- Spiderman being in awe at what you did.

~ “How did you-He just-You took down a guy with a knife!” 

- Rushing home to find Peter pacing around, waiting for you.

~ “You tried to stop a robbery?”

“How did you-”

“It was-uh… on the news?”

- You dismissed the nervous tone to his voice. The two of you ended up pretending not to cuddle on the couch, even though Peter’s arm was around your waist and your head was on his shoulder.

- The rest of the summer went quickly, the only eventful thing being your promotion at Stark Industries™ from unpaid intern to lab assistant.

Love, Simon: Meaningful, touching, glad and Proud!

t’s quite late to watch this movie now, but I promised myself that I would complete the novel first. Thank God, finally, I did it. Recently, I’ve done the movie, too. I love this film so much, it’s not very painful or grievous but it’s touching and meaningful.

Because I read the novel before thus there’re something in the movie that I don’t satisfy, anyway I have to say that I love this movie. The first thing I don’t like about the film is Blue. I like the actor who played the role, Bram. I just dislike the way the director built this character on the screen. In my view, the novel Blue is romantic and sweet, unfortunately, Blue on the cinema didn’t show up those points. I just want people who didn’t read the novel before can understand more about Blue, because he’s interesting and very attractive. I wish that Bram had more time on-screen and there’re more moments between Simon and Bram. I want to see more aspects of Bram and Blue. But of course, I think Keiynan is very suitable to play Bram. I will say this, though it’s kinda stupid, but to be honest I like Lyle is Blue more. I don’t know I just see that their eyes when they looked at each other is so sweet and warm like even Lyle is not Blue but he has feeling with Simon, over a friend. When Lyle asked Simon about Abby, I think it’s just his excuse to find a subject to talk to Simon. The scene in which everybody read Simon’s post on Tumblr, I saw Cal and Lyle smiled slightly, I don’t know why but it’s like they’re proud of him (or because they liked him XD They’re both bisexual). It just my feeling, perhaps the director wants to distract everyone and keep Blue’s identity still a secret!

Another thing I don’t like about the movie is Blue again. His behavior when he knew everything is so awkward and quite cruel. Even though I can understand why, but I want Blue to be braver. However, while I’m typing those words, I think, yes Blue is just like Simon. They’re both afraid of this world, people might not like them. It’s pretty terrifying. I sympathize with Blue. Simon in the novel and movie is braver than Blue. I’m proud of him so much like Blue said Simon inspired him, undoubtedly. Despite my dislike, I still love this detail. Because it’s more real, nothing can be hidden forever. In the novel, Blue didn’t see the Tumblr post but the movie. Seemingly, the director wants the characters to face their fears. It can be understood, easily and it’s creative.

When I think more carefully about this movie, specifically the characters. In my opinion, the director succeeded in building them on the screen, I know it might pretty opposite with the view above, but if I look closer, I see that both novel and movie Blue has the same behavior. Because Blue in the novel didn’t know about the post, therefore he didn’t freak out, but it took a very long time for Simon and Blue to meet each other in person. At that time, Simon used to mad at Blue too. Just nearly like the movie, Simon had been waiting for Blue for a very long time. Because Blue is a little bit hesitant. 

There are a bunch of other things that make me fall in love with Love, Simon. I love the scene when Ms. Albright shouted at those assholes (it’s even stronger and ruder than in the novel) and Ethan, such a cool bitch. I know he’s scared sometimes but he’s strong, very strong. I love Ethan’s friends too, they’re friendly and always protect him. It’s pretty bad that the scene Abby and Taylor protect Simon didn’t occur on the screen. The actors are successful in transmitting the situation, they helped me to feel more about the circumstance. How Simon felt when his best friends left and Blue blocked him, he’s just alone… facing the fucking troubles alone. It’s pretty horrible but he still has family beside and I’m happy for him. When his father said ‘sorry’ to Simon, I did cry. I can see and understand completely why Simon’s dad cried. He felt guilty because of his old jokes and why he didn’t know anything. However, it’s hard to know, that is Simon’s huge secret. It’s not his father’s fault. His father should proud of himself because he’s a great dad, not a lot of man can accept it easily like him, even felt guilty. I love Simon’s family a lot, they’re so open-minded and friendly. I’m sure that I like the movie dad than the novel one because he’s kinda more thoughtful (one of the reasons is he’s sort of hot XD). By the way, Martin again used to make me feel sick about him (sorry I’m too negative) but eventually he became cute again. It’s fucking funny when he admitted that he’s Blue, kidding me. Then, he paid those tickets to let Simon can keep waiting for Blue. The most touching moment is when people including Simon’s friends stood by him while he’s waiting for Blue. They all hoped for Simon that Blue will come and didn’t stopping saying something to support Simon. That scene is super elegant and meaningful. It’s like the director wants to send a message that there’re lots of people supporting the LBGT community. I know Blue is extremely afraid of those coming out thing and it needs time to adjust, anyway finally he came, it means he has already got through this challenge. That’s the point. Congratulations Blue!

Transforming a movie from the novel is not easy but Love, Simon is over successful. Every scene and spotlight had been brought into this movie in a very elegant way. You can’t require a transform movie to be precise the main novel; however Love, Simon brought not only the best of this novel but also the personality of each character, even the smallest detail. Like Simon said Blue had carefully chosen every single word while texting him, that’s a unique point of Blue in the novel. Because in the novel, Blue is a grammar nerd. Hence you can see how much effort which the director put in this amazing movie. 

Subsequently, I love this movie and it slowly and slightly touches everybody’s heart. It takes my tears and my heart. I love Nick Robinson, he’s a perfect selection for this main role, Simon Spier. Leah is the most attractive girl in my mind, she’s kind and generous. I love Abby who is so cute and energetic but thoughtful and Nick is such a funny guy. Once I thought that Garret might be Blue (who knows). Bram is a cute guy and not brave but strong and knows how to get through those hard times, Simon inspired him. Lyle looks like Andrew Garfield and sweet, too. He’s too soft with Simon. Cal is the most handsome guy. Nora is an adorable girl, she’s maturer than her age. Mr. and Mrs. Spier are the most tolerant parents ever!

Rep: pretty good. There was 3 canonically gay people? (Conor, Mr. Sherry and Mr. sherrys boyfriend Arthur.) There wasn't a moment I thought it was fetishising at all which is good.

Story: yum good stuff I'd say the part where Ned outted Conor wasn't great but he mentioned feeling bad about the incident. But also it kind of puts out the message that it's okay to out someone because they wanted to be out anyways in a good light?? Which is terrible. There's some parts that were hard to follow. Like I don't know the settings and such.
