whenever he moved away from the vault it was to either show a new guy around or to fight and the few times he actually moved away from the colony it was for the benefit of the colony

notice how zam has a habit of either perching somewhere higher than wemmbu or getting right up in his face or backed up by his guards

though interestingly the one time where it was neither of those things, where wemmbu was instead higher than zam, was in that final moment where they just stared at each other for an amount of time that was ngl bordering on uncomfortable lol, idk if thats just coincidence or if it means anything at all but still interesting

Hey. I think Killer and Error duo is being slept on. Dunno what dynamic they may have (don't have any thoughts) but something about these two makes me think that they'd get along (or at least, they would get along after initial first impressions)

Yeah, I think so too maybe. I also think that other than Color, Error is the one who actually encourages Killer to talk shit and complain about Nightmare with him.

Now im not too familiar with Error’s canon lore as of right now, but im familiar with the idea that he’s kinda a man child and sometimes had a tendency to throw tantrums.

I can see killer being uncomfortable (unsettled, nervous, confused, on edge, scared) by any huge displays of emotion, especially if they’re about or directed towards him, but he’d die before he admits to anything like that or expresses any genuine emotion and he doesn’t have the words to express any of it anyway because he doesn’t understand emotions or himself.

Killer’s more likely to decide that “something error does is influencing the soul/the body to behave differently and so I should stay away from being controlled” rather than anything like “this makes me uncomfortable.”

Because killer doesnt see himself as experiencing emotions in stage 2, and “himself” is in his mind and away from the body (which allows him to not really care what happens to the physical form so long as it operates well enough), he just thinks it’s the body behaving weird. Couldn’t be him, he can’t feel anything.

But I can see error trying to tune down the huge displays around killer eventually, maybe after a particularly huge and somewhat destructive tantrum of his drives killer to distance himself away from him. (Error seems rather lonely, and I doubt he’d want to lose his fellow nightmare-shit talking buddy.)

And another thing is that Error has issues with being touched, and killer relies on touch to determine if something is truly real or not.

And, uh, his stage 2 self doesn’t really understand boundaries naturally (or, a bit more accurately, he doesn’t see how they effect him) and therefore he can disrespect them; a lot of the time because he needs to tell if something is real or not or he’ll lose his damn mind again, other times because of a sense of curiosity or his deep seated need for control. He has a tendency to be like “boundaries for me, not for thee”—and we all saw how he manhandles swap.

So I can see just spending a lot of time just silently staring at error with his big doe black eyes while error yaps on, silent. And killer can’t really see shit well due to the goop from his sockets, so staring holes into error’s skull doesn’t make him seem any more real.

And of course error understandably flips his lid when he’s suddenly touched out of nowhere without his permission, probably stringing killer up in his strings and holding him up and away so he won’t touch him again. Only for killer to calmly slip right out of them because the strings don’t really affect him.

It’s gonna be like pulling teeth to get killer to explain why he did that, so this will probably be another period of rockiness in their relationship. Killer simply doesn’t like letting others know anything about him that he doesn’t want to willingly give, anything about his motives, genuine thoughts, goals.

And he doesn’t see what the issue is, although he recognizes that error is upset. He’ll probably say something to calm error down, something like “I won’t do it again,” without fully understanding the problem simply because, once again, the displays of emotion are making his body act weird. He doesn’t like the “control” error has over it. Killer knows how to people please and fawn when he needs to.

I don’t think he’ll willingly bring this interaction up with color to ask his trusted person to explain to him why this was an issue—simply because killer’s stage 2 self doesn’t often seek out emotional connection due to plain indifference and disinterest towards most people.

He doesn’t really care at this point if error doesn’t wanna talk to him again—just means that less chance of error’s emotions controlling his body again. (It’s the schizoid tendencies talking girl oh no he has headphones in he can’t hear us!!)

But color, being the absolute chad he is, recognizes that killer really needs more friends than him and error probably does too honestly. So instead color gently spends some time trying to encourage killer to just show some trust in others for once, and explain why he needs touch.

It takes awhile. Killer doesn’t get why he should explain himself to anyone that doesn’t have power over him, and no thank you to the idea of expressing himself. Color points out that error was willing to tone down the intensity of his outbursts, willing to adjust himself for killer’s comfort, because he wanted killer’s company.

Killer says error just wanted company. Not his company. Color gives killer a look and says, “being lonely and wanting company isn’t weakness.”

But it probably eventually happens. Color helps him write down the words, perhaps writes the definition for the derealization that killer was experiencing.

From there things probably get better for them. Error explains his phobia, killer says color told him he’s not supposed to touch people without permission. Error says he doesn’t give permission, and killer is quiet for a moment, before saying, “ok.”

Maybe they work up to it, maybe they never do. Error gives killer a mini doll of himself to squeeze whenever he starts doubting reality—probably because killer keeps forgetting he’s supposed to ask before touching but always stops himself mid way.

Error can see that killer is trying, although he doesn’t understand why it’s so hard for the guy to conceptualize the idea of boundaries. Does he not understand that saying no is a valid option? Regardless, killer is willing to listen when told no. Even if he clearly doesn’t understand what the big deal is. (If only killer had learned this lesson before meeting swap)

And they will of course what Error’s telenovelas. Or Error will watch them and ramble to killer with character analysis, headcanons, and theories while killer struggles to stay present and not become completely dissociated. The cats will lounge around in the beanbags with them.

I think it’ll be a very long time before killer feels safe enough around error to allow himself to be in stage 1–he will leave immediately as soon as he starts shifting over—but for now they’re both content with keeping things more surface level.

Kidnapping will become a staple of their interactions. Some days error will just snatch killer right up regardless of what’s he’s doing or saying and killer can escape easily but instead he’s just like, “new episode again?” Nightmare throws a fit whenever error takes killer while he’s trying to talk to him, which amuses killer so he allows it simply to spite the boss.

Sometimes ink is there too. Killer doesn’t know why or when they came around, but he’s there! Ink apparently likes drawing killer and error a lot. Ink comments that’s he taking all this in a surprising stride, and killer’s like..”pal, most days this just feels like a fever dream.”

Ink likes making and giving killer drawings of what happened that day out of hopes itll help it all feel more real to him.

URMMMMMMM. a lot of sae's best memories are really tame i think bhgfdghdfj just moments where she could sit back and say Yeah. I am Completely Happy :) BUT the BEST one i think is one she recounts a lot just bc she reallyyy felt like she had found peace. the fishing village near her afi's home holds a yearly festival for fisherman's day that she LOVEESSSS. and IF MY TIMELINE IS CORRECT she got an award i believe in 2012 (??) for her achievements and contribution to her community . and when the festival was over she got to have a long chat with her afi up on a mountain top overlooking the ocean and she holds that conversation very dear to her heart :]

What if we took out the manipulative and borderline abusive aspects of neil and andrews relationship in cannon??

These are just the major things that I think made their relationship really toxic

1) practically kidnapping and then drugging neil

2) andrews overtly controlling nature

3) andrew choking Kevin

4) neil grabbing andrew without his consent to look at his sh scars after andrew was literally brutally assaulted

5) andrew pulling knives on his family anytime they piss him off

6) andrew almost punching neil after neil was fucking kidnapped and tortured bc he was upsetty spaghetti

Now how do I think they could have had the same impact without being fucking abusive?? Lets go point by point

1) instead of Andrew fucking blackmailing neil he could have just, fuck, asked???? And also I really wish the drugging thing had been more of an overtly nikky thing bc even tho I firmly believe andrew would have killed nikky had he known he had kissed neil noncon it was explicitly stated that andrew told nikky to drug neil and aided in him being drugged. Had that been a nikky exclusive thing that would have been a big step in overall giving andrew more sympathy points. I know he was protecting his family and thereby the rest of the foxes too, but he went about it in a really shitty way and then for this never to be later addressed is just icky

2) so yea by book two neil more or less goes along consensually with andrews chaos but it is very much implied that andrew would not be taking no for an answer ((outside of intimacy)) if he didnt feel like it. If the "I asked" thing neil has went both ways that would have taken the controlling shit right out and that would have been really good for andrew bc the upperclassmen would see that he isnt forcing neil to do shit neil doesnt wanna do, neil is just insane

3) if the upperclassmen see that andrew is willing to choke Kevin when, as far as they know, Kevin isnt directly tied to where neil is then wtf are they gonna think about what he might do to neil???? This is very much just a, looking in this seems sketchy, type deal but i think the upperclassmen really didnt get treated like actual characters half the time and this was one of them. They basically just went "well its andrew so meh." Had andrews whole "dont touch my things" persona been just that, a persona for the outside and internally he was just concerned about keeping the monsters, and to a smaller extent the upperclassmen, safe then that would have severely improved him. And Andrew not choking Kevin the fuck out would go a long way for that

4) so overall yes andrew has the mostly abusive tendencies and, no, I dont think this was abusive it was just, rude??? Like if people fucking look at my scars I get pissed let alone when people touch them??? I have and will continue to throw hands. Let alone in the situation andrew was in??? I am surprised he didnt kill neil. I think this would have been far more rational had he simply looked at andrews scars and internally thought things in his own skull. Andrew could have been like "staring" and neil could have looked the fuck away and it would be much less gross tbh.

5) andrew pulling a knife on nikky for harassing neil was fine. No comments or concerns. But we see later in the series he oddhandedly pulls knives on nikky and kevin ((not so much aaron)) whenever the fuck they piss him off and thats just ew. If he pulled knives on other people thats one thing, but on his family??? Wtf no

6) I like to pretend this didnt happen. Not only bc contextually it makes no fucking sense but bc it really damages not only andrews character but the perception EVERYONE in the room should have. Again, the upperclassmen arent being treated as characters in this scene so its a little iffy but realistically this should have been a damaging point in andrews character and the fact that it wasnt is ridiculous. Either way, had this small detail been taken out it would have been a lot more of a heartwarming scene like it was supposed to be

His eyes are the same shades of brown as his hair, unlike other people with brown eyes, his dont 'glitter' or add depth when in the light. They just lighten a bit, since theyre in the sun. When stressed his eyes take on a mild bloodshot factor because of an eye rubbing nervous habit. Of course it grows into blotches and inkdrops of red when he uses telekinesis, but he's been doing that a lot more than usual lately. He doesnt have sunken or genetic eyebags, just the normal "I dont take care of myself" type. He has those long ass eyelashes only men tend to have but he also gets nervous and pulls them out sometimes.

His glasses make his eyes seem smaller, so it is off putting in situations where he wears contacts. Partly because he's unrecognizable without his glasses, and partly because his eyes are very owlish. He also has an infuriating tendency to stare at people when they arent making eye contact and then no matter what not engaging in eye contact with them. but he will still stare at your eyes.

I have explained his dick before! Five inches as is entirely average. of average girth. will scream this forever he is a Hooded Hero. maybe a little less ambient foreskin than average and it does not retract fully on its own its just a little like bwip you know. :) not much darker than normal skin, heading rosier on the tip, keeps trimmed with a like a quarter guard. but isnt overwhelmingly hairy anywhere on his body. and it leans lighter than his actual hair. small white scar above the shaft to the left and then a yetsofar not discovered laproscopy scar on the back of his sack :( normal balls too, hugging a bit tighter to the body.

(phil forces techno to gift him the cloak in person rather than stash it under his pillow and run like he’d planned. techno bitched about it but after ranboo practically lit up, burying himself in the cloak and thanking techno so hard his throat mustve hurt, techno was so practically purring the rest of the day)

after gifts, its noises. 

techno is seemingly silent. he doesnt speak up much, moves so quietly people tend to jump when he appears. 

in reality, he talks to himself constantly. either when alone or when in phil’s company. philza knows that aspect is the ‘voices’, and also just technoblade’s tendency to fill the silence and wonder his own thoughts aloud

but the snorts, squeels, grumbles, and other sounds he makes without realizing are some phil knows are piglin

its often guttural, a noise he makes in the back of his throat that rumbles and reverberates through his bones. 

itd sound terrifying to anyone, but after years of techno trilling deep when phil enters a room, when he returns from some sort of journey, when he says hello or makes his presence known in anyway, phil realized its more like a greeting. excitement to see him. it became something sweet

long story short ranboo nearly jumped so high his head went through the ceiling when he’d first walked into the home, said hello, and some gruff purr sounded from the techno’s chest

theyd both jumped so hard, stared at each other as if they were trying to figure out what was wrong with the other 

phil was physically pained as he held back his laughter to the point he was crying. that changed the subject to him quickly

it didnt happen again for a while, but phil didnt say anything and just watched. it was too entertaining

techno would make his small squeals between breaths when he remembered something, muttered to himself, snorted and huffed even as ranboo was around

ranboo got used to it. he stopped jumping or even looking confused when techno trilled some sort of deep purr when ranboo would join them for dinner

lastly, techno was tactile

or, as tactile as he could be. techno wasnt touchy even on a great day. he was selective, reserved, would lean into phil or loop an arm over his shoulders but would never say anything about it

phil didnt question it and would just pat techno on the arm without saying a word

but. sometimes. when phil would be gone for a long time, techno would rest the entire weight of his head on phil’s shoulder, practically encapturing him, rumbling and grumbling so harsh it shook phil’s whole body

phil still wasnt certain on this one. he couldnt find much in the way of what it meant. piglin’s tended to stay with their own, and they never reunited after long periods of time because they never would dare to separate for long

 he was kind of guessing here, but the way techno would drop his shoulders and practically melt made phil think he was just missing him and wanted to confirm phil’s presence. 

it wasnt like he complained. it was sweet

ranboo had been gone a while. he was vague on why, or where. phil had a suspicion or two but ranboo kept a lot of secrets

neither techno or phil pried too far, but phil could tell it was disconcerting to techno. he was tense and kept himself almost deathly busy for two weeks

(piglin rarely if ever kept secrets from one another, phil had read once. omitting a few things here and there, maybe. but lying or deception was out of the question)

phil hadn’t been there when ranboo returned. he’d been gathering firewood after techno was insistent they completely top up all of ranboo’s stores

he’d heard the muffled growls techno made as he walked towards ranboos shack, before even seeing him. 

when phil found them techno had ranboo nearly completely obscured in his cape, and definitely he’d have been out of sight if he was any shorter. 

techno’s head was lofted heavy in the crook of ranboo’s neck, forcing ranboo to hunch with arms wrapped tight around ranboo. his arms were pinned. 

ranboo caught his eyes, looking so scattered and tired and confused and maybe even terrified. he might have spoken or maybe he just mouthed ‘help me’ but the gruff purr-like sound techno made was too loud to hear him anyways

philza shoved his fist in his mouth to keep from laughing

later that night ranboo asked phil if techno was going to kill him. phil wanted to scream

even later then, techno had admitted to phil that, yeah, okay, maybe ranboo was growing on him. phil had never felt so violent

But Konoha is easily the member you’re closest with on the team

As much as you enjoy Akaashi and Bokuto they can be a little odd at times, whereas Konoha is just the perfect balance of reliable and fun

You two joke around during practice a lot with Komi often joining in

It takes a bit for you to get Washio to open up just because he’s more on the quiet side

But he’s a lot like Akaashi in the sense that he takes care of you and makes sure you’re doing alright

Overall, they’re a really reliable team and you know you can turn to them if you need anything

You were a bit nervous to get to know everyone at first, especially knowing Bokuto and his loud demeanor but they were all right there to help you out and give you space when necessary 

Bokuto often brags about you to other teams which always leaves you feeling flushed and embarrassed 

Thankfully Konoha is right there to yell at him to stop and Akaashi is by your side comforting you

You never really have to worry about anyone approaching you or bothering you because someone on the team is always by your side

He was definitely the person on the team you relied on the most and you were so grateful for him

Makki and Mattsun love to tease and mess with you but when you get really flustered Iwa is always there to save you

Surprisingly, Mad Dog follows suit and every time you seem uncomfortable and Iwa isn’t around to help out, he does the job for him

Oikawa teases too but in a more playful way that always leaves you with a smile on your face

You know he can be a lot to handle sometimes but you like spending time with him

Yahaba joins in from time to time and he’s surprisingly a lot more flirty than Oikawa

By far your favorites are Kindaichi and Kunimi

Kindaichi is just such a sweetheart and you know you can count on him to be there for you and Kunimi’s dry humor has you in stitches

They’re also just so incredibly easy to talk to, you never feel overwhelmed with them

You can handle yourself pretty well at games and even though the team can be a lot during practice, during real matches they’re like pros

The only time you ever really need their help is when Oikawa’s fan club becomes too much for you to handle

They’re all extremely protective of you in those situations

Mad Dog turns into an actual dog

They all think you’re just too precious to get hurt and protect you at all costs

So when they heard you let out the faintest sneeze the team was a bit torn

First they thought it was the cutest thing in the world

Oikawa was actually on the floor clutching his chest while Makki and Mattsun were pinching your cheeks

But they were also concerned about your health 

Watari was asking if you were feeling okay while Iwa handed you a tissue

After you assured everyone you were alright and it was nothing, they all started cooing and calling you the cutest little baby

You were very embarrassed but also oddly happy at having such a sweet team who all really liked you

Has real feelings for you, but is vastly ill equipped to face them, and wouldn’t admit it to himself

Has pretty large range of potential yandere-ness for sure

A lot of his later behaviors will stem from how he interprets your reaction to him

If you seem more initially open to the idea of being and traveling with him, or at the very least cooperate and not give him too much trouble, he’ll be much more playful, lenient, and generally flexible about giving you marginally more freedom

At that point you just get the murderous, possessive, but also trying to be somewhat sweet for him boyfriend

Arguably all of his personal connections have a flavor of yandere, so he may not think he’s doing much wrong until you stop to point out that maybe he shouldn’t kill some barista for staring at you for a moment too long while handing you your drink order.

If you cooperate and give him the attention and companionship he craves, and put aside the fits of anger and accept his unpredictability, he’ll spoil you to no end. Anything you want, you have it.

But, if you’re less inclined towards his vision for the two of you, he won’t be happy

Would never let anyone lay a hand on you and would never touch you without your permission

Might keep you in his TARDIS though, until you finally see reason and stay of your own accord

Would have a difficult time understanding why you feel you need to visit other humans.

What else could they possibly offer you that he did not already?

He wants you by his side when he conquers the universe

If you’re not so keen on the idea, you eventually will be.

His certainty about that should be unnerving, but he tries to put any anxieties about it at ease

May use hypnotism to gently nudge you towards accepting your role beside him.

He knows best, and with time you’ll see that.

Doesn’t understand earth courtship rituals.

Doesnt completely understand why you wouldn’t gladly leave your friends and family to stay with him forever.

He’ll treat you well and protect you from harm.

Doesn’t think it’s over stretching to hypnotize everyone around you into convincing you to be with him.

Strangers from hell rant, because I've been obsessed with it and its freaking great

[Spoilers ahead]

One of the first things I thought as I watched Strangers From Hell was that it gave me Parasite vibes, which obviously made me all the more into it. It only has 10 episodes and its definitely one of the most disturbing thrillers I've ever seen.

The plot is actually not that complex, it follows Jong Woo, who comes to Seoul for a job and to write for his crime novel. From a poor background, he doesn't have a lot of money, which leads him to take residence in a shady apartment complex. Unknown to him, the residents of his new home are part of a murder crew, and kills all the new tenants. They are led by the charismatic and creepy Moon Jo, who takes an interest in Jong Woo and begins to manipulate and stalk him until he starts to lose his mind. Jong Woo's decline is gradual and steep, and it leaves him isolated from the rest of the world.

This show has a lot of blood and gore, so if that puts you off, I'd recommend not to watch it. But if you like a good psychological thriller, this is perfect for you.

The entire setting is unnerving from the beginning. And the shady occupants of Eden Studio are creepy as fuck. Moon Jo is the most disturbing person ever. Jong Woo initially thinks of him as normal, an opinion he slowly changes. From calling the people around him "honey" to creepily staring at them too long, to stalking Jong Woo to almost everywhere he goes, he quickly becomes the most terrifying person there. Lee Dong Wook plays him amazingly. No one this creepy should be allowed to be this hot though. I love how deranged he is, despite having a seemingly normal outer persona. His adult clients dont find him creepy, only a good looking and reserved dentist. Also the teeth???? Adds the creep factor so much. I mean the guy makes jewelry. Out of his victims teeth. Like his maniacal happy expression during his murders aren't freaky enough. He becomes completely obsessed with Jong Woo as he sees the violent tendencies in him, in hope for a partner in crime. To the extent where he changes his usual play, and goes as far as killing off everyone else he's been working with to turn Jong Woo into his best masterpiece.

Jong Woo seems to be a quiet and sweet person, but he is hiding the slightly violent fantasies he has when he loses his temper. Moon Jo obviously picks up on this and this is what drives him to pick Jong Woo as his next victim. Im Sivan is absolutely brilliant. Every expression on his face is so fucking well done. He descends from a being a relatively normal person, to a completely insane and paranoid one toward the end. The guy has super shitty luck as well. He's surrounded by assholes. Even his sunbae who gives him a job is a total dick. And as his situation at the studio worsens, no one actually takes his concerns seriously. His girlfriend calls him overly sensitive and his friend won't let him stay with him even for a short while. His asshole boss at work is just the cherry on top. Maybe if someone had actually listened to him, he wouldn't have ended up where he did. But the characters are quite gray, they all have their own shit to deal with, which doesn't leave them blameless, but their behavior is somewhat understandable, which makes everything worse somehow.

From Deuk Jong showing emotions at losing his brother, and watching seok Yoon get trapped by the residents, Strangers From Hell has pretty well defined details. It broke my heart when seok yoon calls out to Jong Woo for help and he doesn't realize it. His death also helps in driving Jong Woo over the edge, and when Moon Jo gives him the chance to kill these people who've been making his life hell to save himself, there doesnt seem to be much of a choice for him to make. The ending is perfect and so creepy, even after Moon Jo dies his creation lives on, and through it, so does he.

Overall, the plot is pretty great, the acting is stellar and this is a show definitely worth the watch.

Homesquared Chapter 3

So i have seen smidgens of this on tumblr but just havent had time to do anything about it

and jesus christ Callie Jade is so horrifyingly creepy, and you know the things she’s narrating the characters can also hear which is also hilarious, it just reminds me of that comic about how “yeah sure there’s a giant ominous red floating eyeball in your kitchen, constantly staring, constantly judging, but can you be sure that’s a bad thing?”

and then someone tries to talk to it, but it doesn’t answer and the person goes “fine be an asshole i dont give a fuck”

thats exactly the dynamic happening with Callie Jade right now

Grumpy DaveKat is hilarious

and Hey! we finally get to see how people look, I really dig Roxy’s look

“ROXY: dude doesnt "believe" in "substances"”

This line from Roxy makes sense, as a person wholly ensconced in the idea of their own self and always being in control of themselves and their own mind and faculties they would hate anything at all that causes that iron mental grip to slip

That’s probably why Dirk avoided sleep even when his dreamself was awake, even sleeping and dreaming was considered a form of himself losing control over himself that he couldn’t integrate the idea himself and his dreamself were the same person rather than two identical people and also I remember that the Jujupop didn’t affect him either

Later on Dirk in the narrative will say something about his own trauma, but not really go into what it is, but if I had to hazard a guess (and really it’s not much of a guess at this point)

Dirk probably has memories of a version of himself being under the mental influence of another, Lil Cal, LE, Doc Scratch etc what have you, So Narrative Dirk may actually be a version of Dirk who’s not quite yet poisoned into being a version of those 3, but his words also hinted that just because he’s aware of a certain way that he’s acting doesn’t make him more likely to stop it

Like he’s equating that you can be aware of the influence something else is having on you and in the exact ways it is influencing you without being able to stop, the exact thing he is traumatized and afraid of being most likely

So his one driving fear, is he does not want to lose control of his own soul, his own being, his own way of life and existing, to something else, something other. Even though he most likely is fully aware of the things and mannerisms of the other that have slipped into himself? Like he’s probably fully aware of the similarities between himself and those mentioned above, but maybe the thing that he’s hinging on is that instead of those guys poisoning him into being like them, instead perhaps he can convince himself that it’s his own self influencing others to act like himself instead. His influence reaching out and expanding instead of shrinking as he fears it

Anyway, Dave and Kanaya have a cute moment, I really like that

We get a nice shot of them in shadows against a backdrop of stars and Kanaya starts talking about a story Rose would once tell so that’s story is already gonna be dripping in metaphorical potential

So obviously Dirk and Rose

Dirk has Rose with him, discovers an actual genuine connection with her, likely because he already viewed her as an equal, despite his manipulations of her, and chapter 4 spoilers but he genuinely wants to play a game with her when there really isn’t any reason for it, so he is actually curious to see who comes out on top of it, Him or Her, so Dirk is probably in some way desperate to have an actual equal partner in some way instead of drowning in himself all the time, not surprising. But Rose, obviously, will leave and reject him, likely when the manipulation comes around and is revealed/Kanaya and all them reach her/that part of the story

But then the story tinges onto a romantic nature and is framing Dirk trying to get her back as a romantic quest to save his partner/friend something something love and friendship, “no distance can separate them” yeah that doesn’t sound like obsession with the first person you’ve ever truly seen as an equal/a real person, 

yeah “A Garden calling to Mind an engagement once declared there” definitely sounds like the garden of eden/adam and eve paradise fantasy that Dirk has been trying  for some reason, to setup on the new planet

Really begs the question for why Dirk cares at all to do all of this? Except we now the answer is already its not the thing itself he cares about, its the value hes putting into the story as something that generates interest in the audience

He doesn’t care about actually making a society or being gods or whatever, he just knows thats what the audience wants to see and cares about so therefore he does it

and the reason he does all of THAT is because is ties into his trauma of his sense of self eroding away becoming a person he’s unfamiliar with

I wonder how he’s going to handle how much he’s going to change in order to fit the role of the story he’s writing when all is said and done

the Dirk at the end of this is going to be very different than the Dirk that started in Homestuck, despite all of his fears and intentions, and that he could not say all of it wasnt his own doing because of the iron control he made sure to have from the very beginning, I honestly think that will be kind of a shock for him if a meeting like that ever one day happened

Specifically for the fact that he seems to be aware of the romantic in nature tropes hes writing himself and Rose into and for now still seems to be avoiding them, not having gone that far, but, well

Maybe this is where we’ll start to see where Doc Scratch’s odd tendencies starting coming from

You know he was always really weird with Rose and Vriska (Maybe because he sees Light players all as extensions of Rose herself?)

Anyway yeah this is def the story metaphor I think we’re going to see in this, but Kanaya doesn’t fully get it, she thinks the story refers to herself and Rose

DAVE: that seems kind of wack for a kids story

KANAYA: Its Possible I Am Projecting Slightly In This Specific Circumstances

KANAYA: It Was Just A Metaphor

Basically the idea that your experiences of a person and your memories of them shape who they become as well, the boundary between you and I is controlled by both of us, so each has an effect of the personality Heart of the other through our own decisions and Mind

like the way people tend to mimic those they like and want to be close to, or the way they actively try to distance themselves and what they are like from those they hate

But that at all seems to be more about Mind in general than referring to anything specifically Terezi

though it is exactly that understanding of Mind versus Heart and how one affects the other that could make Dirk realize that in the question of the self he’s only had half the picture the whole time, he’s only had the understanding of Heart and has thus far not been able to understand how Mind plays a role in the sustaining of the self, how what other people do to help you to be you, which is his entire philosophical conundrum

Maybe its Jade Callie that’s influencing them this way not Gamzee, to scribble strange things on the walls and not come out, but it’s the same fear of the other regardless manifesting and changing the self.

It is a very oddly non social thing for Our Calliope to do, when the point of different between the two Callie’s was how social Calliope was versus how antisocial Jade Callie is. Worries me ): but at least they’re here I guess

Most of it’s association with knowledge is external to Homestuck, just referenced symbolically, it’s not actually used in any cirumstances pertaining to knowledge, but more as the metaphor of it being the gate to leave the garden of eden, more like a teleporter, Rapture and Revelation in general rather than just Knowledge itself

3. If they complimented each other, what would they say?

Both Giyuu and Shinobu are not very good at being upfront about how they feel (Giyuu because he’s not good with words, and Shinobu because she tends to hide her emotions). Demon slaying related things is easy (after all, there’s no questioning their strengths), but anything other than that… Is hard.

For Shinobu, she can only say it when Giyuu is asleep, either resting from an injury or just stopping by for some rest. “You’re quite something else, aren’t you?” She will say, when she’s reserved. “You look kinda cute, with your sleeping face like this,” she will say, when she’s tired but amused, in a better mood than she usually is. “I’m glad you’re alive,” she will say, when Giyuu is covered in bandages.

For Giyuu, it’s always when Shinobu is walking away. “You’re stronger than any of us,” he says, when Shinobu looks like she’s shrinking into her own skin. “The way you walk is mesmerizing,” when he’s so exhausted that Shinobu seems to literally flutter about, the color of her butterfly pin capturing his eyes. “Come back to me,” when Shinobu smiles through her aching body and embarks on a new mission, all alone.

They never say what they mean, not when the other can hear it.

17. What senses (sights, smells, feelings, etc). remind them of each other?

Shinobu: The sound of running water. For obvious reasons, Shinobu can almost visualize Giyuu standing, quietly, watching with a vacant stare whenever it rains, on when there’s a river nearby. Shinobu has a tendency to walk along river streams.

Giyuu: The sight of flowers. Whenever Giyuu sees a flower blooming in the cracks on the ground or the wall, he sees Shinobu smiling enigmatically at him. The smell of them, too; it reminds of afternoons spent in a hospital bed, Shinobu nearby plucking wisteria flower’s petals. Giyuu always wants to touch the flowers, but gives up halfway through.

25. What moves do they know work on the other?

Shinobu just has to tease Giyuu enough to get him going. If she presses the right button, at the right order, Giyuu falls into it easily. Shinobu thinks it’s extremely amusing that Giyuu gets riled up from being metaphorically poked at.

Giyuu has to take the initiative when Shinobu isn’t in the mood, or she’ll ignore him entirely. He has to kiss her, crowd her, push against her. Shinobu will usually let him continue or switch things and push him instead. Either way, it works, and that’s all that matters to Giyuu.

32. Do they enjoy morning or night sex?

Morning. The nights are too exhausting and full of nightmares to do anything, they cling to each other and sleep away the heartache. -Seamus Finnigan... where to begin with this boy

-For one, he was a gryfinndor, the proudest house in the school, full of themselves and obsessed with their own status, making sure that they were the best, cutting down anyone that disagreed or brought them down the popularity scale and they say slytherins are bad, but he had never been like that.

-Sure he held a few of the same prejudices as the rest of the school had, but then again, who didn't. There were bad seeds in every house, just because Slytherins had a flare for the dramatic didn't mean it made the other houses saints.

-but he was nice about it, a bit awkward; Seamus always had the tendency to blow things up, often hearing a pained scream from the other side of the great hall, making you and your housemates giggle

-this whole ordeal of course, was funny, funny until Professor Snape paired the both of you together in potions, set on separating all the gryffindors from their boisterous housemates 

-you’d never really talked to this Irish boy, but his name was whispered in the Charms classroom, and he had a chaotic reputation. Which is why the second he stepped next to your cauldron you started to panic, knowing you had to keep him away at all costs

-so thats what you did. sending him to pick up ingredients and chop them up, your plan was going well, pepperup potion boiling away like it was no ones business, the two of you had even beat Hermione’s team, who’d gotten stuck on finely grinding the lacewing flies, unable to pound the head in. You started to notice him more and more, tiny awkward smiles being exchanged between the two of you as you worked quietly and efficiently. You couldn't help but notice that he was cute, cute in an impish sort of way, like he’d make you laugh at a meme and call you the most beautiful girl in the world in the same sentence.

-He stood at just a bit shorter than you, hair cut short, almost buzzed, undoubtedly as a precaution from all the times he’d set fire to various objects. you barely registered his blue-green eyes staring at you sheepishly, face getting redder and redder by the second. You tore your eyes away, clearing the station around you

-and thats all it took apparently

-the next thing you know your station is on fire, and chaos naturally ensures, even Snape is baffled, frozen staring at Seamus’ chaotic face, eyes wide open in a form of fascination, staring between the flaming cauldron and the bottle of an unidentified substance in his hand. completely unaware of the fire licking at his pant leg. however when he does realize, he simply makes it vanish with a quiet incantation, and doesn’t seem scared. 

-you hear his mutter under his breath, “I didn’t even mean for that to happen this time?” 

-hc that seamus is fireproof or disassociates so hard he doesnt feel anything

-when the fire is out, Snape barks at you to take him to the infirmary, and reluctantly you follow orders, glaring at the irish boy the whole time.

-when you’re safely out of Snapes earshot, you go off on him, ranting about how he just cost you a grade and hOW on earth were you supposed to recover it now?

-he’s still giddy w excitement over the whole ordeal, so much so that he doesnt even register the usual embarrassment that comes with setting things aflame, only hearing your irritated yelling, which he finds mostly amusing and,,, adorable? at this point, having been effectively numbed by the amount of yelling he usually got from his classmates. there was still something cute about how angry you were at him, the ex-quietly blushing slytherin turned into a new raging slytherin. he liked seeing you talk

-he stops walking, just watching you as you keep ranting and walking, stopping and turning around on your heel when you notice him gone. he’s standing a few feet back, full grin broken out on his face. you make a face at him, throwing out an angry, “What.”

-he simply, looks at you, a soft blush atop his ears, but the beginnings of a smirk nevertheless, “would you want to go to hogsmeade together sometime?”

-bitch what the fuck

DATING SEAMUS 

-your being Slytherin doesn't have much of an impact on your relationship, although after a few lengthy debates about every house and their flaws/why each house is good in their own way, he’ll defend you from anyone that says anything bad about you or your house.

-the insults he hears from the slytherins though, they hit different, theyre just friendly insults, and he laughs along as he walks with you and your friends, fingers interlaced with yours as he bumps his hip into your own, poking his tongue out at you

-swapping house scarves in the winter, and its the cutest shit ever

-you make it your habit of going to hogsmeade every weekend possible, most of the time just going up the hill and watching the town below as you enjoy the view, a few sweets in both of your pockets as you share

-he has the tendency of making up random games to play, and he’s thoroughly convinced that he invented I Spy

-seamus is cocky, like,, extremely. he thinks he’s all that, and loves the effect he has on you, but turn it around for just a second, showering him with a few compliments and he’s as red as a tomato, hiding his face in his sweater covered hands

-going to the library to cuddle on the beanbag chairs (that your slytherin friend snuck in), and the two of you are fully convinced that Madam Pince hates the both of you, giggling as you hide your face in his chest, his hand resting on the nape of your neck, laughing along as he kisses your forehead

-turns out you were right, he IS the type of guy that’ll make you laugh at a stupid joke and call you the most beautiful girl in the world in the same sentence

-sneaking out of your dorms at night, and meeting up in whatever broom closet is available, sometimes just sitting cross legged from each other and talking about the universe, sometimes a passionate makeup session leaving even the broomsticks rattled happens

-you love listening to his voice, especially when he’s tired from studying and you can her the tiredness come through his accent, voice soft, yet deeper than usual

-plays with your fingers when he’s nervous, kissing each one as he stares off into space (rip your hands freedom), also has the habit of falling asleep laying his head on your stomach or legs, and loves it when your hands run through his cropped hair, running your hands over various burn scars

-he talks a lot, telling you stories about all the times magic has blown up in his face, quite literally, and it really seems like he never gets a break form the constant chaos in his life

-Snape never pairs the two of you ever again in potions, so you resort to making silly faces at each other from across the classroom.
