how about some akutagawa and an ADA s/o enemy trope? the s/o and aku is in a mission from our dearest dazai, where they have to stay together at some hotel room and they're strangled with eachother in the morning hwhwhw if you're not comfortable with this it's ok🙏🙏
I'll request a bunch in the future I guess😋🫢‼️‼️ -🐑
SORRY THIS TOOK A WHILE!!!! hope this is what you wanted!! and I can't wait for more request! they honestly make my day!
One bed Akutagawa x ADA reader!
Your lovely superior Dazai thought you are Akutagawa would be an amazing team! aka Dazai thought you and Akutagawa would make a cute couple(thank you Dazai)
Working for the ADA was a very rewarding job as you are able to help others
while Akutagawa on the other hand kills the people you work so hard to protect
So it was easy to guess that you weren't the biggest fan of Dazai's when he sent you on mission with the mafia member
The aim of the mission was to stop this enemy before they can become a big threat
"Can't Atsushi" "No <3"
Akutagawa was also confused usually its Atsushi he is sent with but Dazai clearly knew that he was infatuated by you
You where beautiful, kind, caring and the total opposite of him
while you thought of him as some one attractive yes but he was a killer!!!!!!
So when you both arrived at the hotel you would both be staying at for this mission you both realized there was one bed
For the first night Akutagawa suggested to sleep on the couch
He had probably one of the worst sleeps of his life that night but hey he didn't care as long as you slept well!
the next day Akutagawa was extremally tired yet he didn't snap at you
That day you where able to find out a lot about Akutagawa
you also noticed that every one you came across he didn't kill he only knocked out
This did bring him into a deferent light in your head
maybe he wasn't a killer???
that night you invited him to sleep on the bed and you the couch
"No...you have it.. I do not care for your pity, plus you may as well use it"
"We could share"
BLUSHING AKUTAGAWA!!!
"Fine..."
so that night sharing a bed you both agreed on what side you both wanted
You went to sleep back to back
'the night was perfect, for a couple to bad you where single' you thought to your self
that night you could see all the stars from the big window in your hotel room
you where looking at it but some thing told you to look at Akutagawa
he was already asleep
you could watch him in his most peaceful moment
he awoke to you starring at him
"Is something wrong?"
"No! I'm sorry go back to sleep!"
when morning had arrived you where both cuddled up in each others arms
because during the night you felt Akutagawa's warmth and cuddled up to him and soon after he had cuddled up to you
when you both had woken up AGAIN BLUSHING MESSES
You both agreed to tell no one about this and to never bring it up again
NEW FLASH Dazai knew it would happen and so when you both got back bro teased you both so much
But by this time you knew 100% you liked Akutagawa so maybe you will let Dazai send you both on more missions
just don't tell kunikida about your new found crush for the mafia member!

Kiss my tears away♡
𝑨𝒌𝒖𝒕𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒘𝒂 𝒙 𝒇𝒆𝒎! 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓
𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒓𝒆: light angst/ comfort♡.
It was around 12:30 when the thud of the front door closing woke you up from your slumber. You turned your head to the side and watched as your boyfriend quietly stepped into the bedroom and started undressing; a foggy, shadowy figure observed by your sleepy eyes.
"Hey Ryuu. How was today?" you inquired, voice dripping with langour but he gave no answer. He simply lay in bed beside you, wrapping an arm around your waist to bring you closer to him.
"Ryuu dear can you~" you began again but were immediately cut off by the sound of heavy sobs. Akutagawa's hot breath dripped down your neck as he buried his face in your hair, chest heaving against your back.
"Ryuu baby what's wrong?" you asked again in a concerned voice, reaching a hand to turn on the lamp on your nightstand but he quickly seized your arm.
"Don't, please". His voice was weak, a mere shaky mumble "I don't want you to see me like this."
Sighing softly, you turned to face him; you couldn't clearly make out his features in the darkness but you noticed the faint quiver of his lower lip, the light furrow of his brows.
Without a word, Akutagawa shifted closer to you and leaned his head on your chest, pearly tears tracing their way onto your heated skin. On cue, you slid your fingers through his hair, pulling him closer to you. His muffled sobs echoed through the gloom of the bedroom, your heart twisting in a helpless knot.
"Hey..." you began, gently threading your fingers through his dark tufts "What's wrong? Did something bad happened at work?"
Without raising his head from your chest, Akutagawa started rambling on about how burnt out he felt, about the mission Dazai assigned him today. You knew how desperate your boyfriend was to gain his former mentor's respect and appreciation, the lengths he'd go to just for a simple "good job, Akuatagwa" and a pat on your shoulder.
"I just don't understand what I'm doing wrong. I gave it all I got and it's still not enough, never enough." His nails dug painfully into your hips, as if he were trying to crawl under your skin, to find a safe space far away from all the doubt and pain. "I feel like a fucking joke. How can you even love someone like me? How can I be good enough for you when I can't even-" Akutagawa's breath became erratic, words getting stuck in his aching throat.
You gently traced your nails along his scalp, fumbling for words. Truth was, you'd never seen him like this before, so torn by his own emotions, so vulnerable and you were afraid to say the wrong thing.
"Ryuu, my dear, you're not a joke. You work really hard and I'm so, so proud of you for what you've accomplished. If Dazai doesn't want to acknowledge you that's his problem, not yours." A choked sob left his throat at the sound of your words and you softly shushed him, scooting lower under the crunchy covers so that you were face to face with him.
Lovingly cupping his face with your hands, you traced your thumb over his cheekbone, wiping away his tears. "You're so amazing Ryuu, even if you don't always believe that. I love you so much" Your lips pressed feathery kisses all over his face as you held him closely; his fierce grip on your hips slowly growing weaker.
Your saccharine affections lulled him into a hazy state, as if his brain had shut down completely. there were no more thoughts, no more doubts and worries, only you- his loving partner, soothing him the best way you could. The tip of your nose brushed against his and you finally kissed his lips, a sweet, tender kiss that conveyed all the love you had for him.
"You're very dear to me, baby. I hate seeing you like this" you whisper against his mouth, words spilling from your lips to his as he weakly returned the kiss.
By this point a warm, mellow weariness took over his body and he felt his eyes slowly closing. His arm grew limp, draping over your hipbone and he leaned his forehead against yours; his breath steadying by the minute. He truly couldn't recall the last time someone has made him feel so worthy and taken care of.
Loving, sugar sweet words and praises kept rolling past your lips, completely replacing his dark thoughts with bliss. In that moment, Akutagawa knew all his worries about you were pointless. He uttered a low "thank you dear" before losing consciousness, forcefully put to sleep by sheer exhaustion; but even after he fell asleep you refused to let go of him. You continued your ministrations, tucking a strand of wild hair behind his ear and kissing his cheek.
"Anytime dear, anytime."

A character study and thoughts on Mori
I'm honest when I say I really really hate Mori. But I don't hate his writing. He is a very well written character. We don't know his past (much like Dazai in that sense) most of what we know is that
when he was 26 he was a war doctor.
he took in Dazai when the boy was 13 after a suicide attempt
he killed the then port mafia boss when Dazai was 14
and let Dazai join the mafia at 15. And with that being said that's all we really know about him and his past. He knew Yosano's ability and saw how she could help people but he also saw a young girl he could use. Which one, disgusting and two, was surprisingly smart or a plot standpoint. Without Mori we wouldn't have half of our supporting cast or some of our main cast.
Mori and Fukuzawa, without them we wouldn't have the groundwork for why everyone in the show works. Without Mori the Ada would have never gotten Yosano. Without Mori having Dazai, Chuuya would be with the sheep. Akutagawa would be dead in the slums with his sister. Without Mori we would have never gotten Akutagawa's amazing character. Without Mori we wouldn't have Kyokoa. Without Mori bringing up Dazai Atsushi would have died or been sent to prison.
Mori is responsible for half the plot working and that's what makes his character so good. He lies and hurt people for fucking gain and fun. He chose a suicidal kid to be his witness because he knew that Dazai was perfect for it, being just like Mori himself. And Elsie, she just fascinates me. She is very much an aware person to some extent. We know Elsie used to be more of a doll, but after Yosano she's more snappy and rude like Yosano herself. And after Dazai we see her acting a bit more like Dazai, she's smarter and
she fucking knew how Akutagawa dies. The first time we see her aside the op is drawing Aku bleeding from his neck with x eyes.
Along with what Mori says in the 2nd to last episode of season two, that he only likes girls under the age of twelve (*sounds of reaching and coughing in disgust*), leaves open interpretation of what he's done to the fucking kids his in charge of. Why did Dazai make sure Gin looked male when she came to the mafia? I don't think we want to know the answer. Q is just now 13 and they were sealed away for many reasons by Dazai but also Q is younger than Kyoka.
It's just horrible to think about what could've happened to them.
Not to add Mori clearly isn't a very good doctor for Dazai, not even trying to stop him from harming or killing himself, he also encourages it and helps him.
We know Mori is manipulative and a gaslighter, He let's Oda fucking die and kills Oda's kids knowing very well that Dazai could've handled it fine.
and With that, Mori caused his own best subordinate to leave, Dazai left because of what Mori did. If Mori didn't happen in bsd we wouldn't have a plot
but really manz can go die in a hole he's served his propose let Chuuya be the new boss, he'd be better at it than Mori in my opinion

Inside Jokes and the Consequences that Follow - Chapter 5
Hi! Hope you enjoy this next chapter :)
Chapter 5: Big News and Sleepy Talks
Warnings: mention of fire, cursing Word Count: 3.7k
You all took separate cars to the café, but Higuchi carried everything in her car. She said she would hold onto it for all of you for the day until you were ready to leave, which you thanked her for.
You had a feeling something awkward must have happened when you left because of how tense the two of them looked after you came back. You were glad to be in a separate car, using a rental the new company you work for. Surprisingly, Akutagawa didn’t say anything about it to you – which you also thought odd.
He knew you didn’t have a car, but he saw you get into this one!
Something was definitely going on with him and possibly between him and Higuchi. Oh, you really hoped it wasn’t something too bad. You drove behind Higuchi though, with the radio playing in the background. You turned it up to distract you from your thoughts, but you paid attention to the road.
Once you all got there, you parked close together, and that was when you noticed the sour look Higuchi developed on her face. She looked incredibly pale, sweat painted at her forehead and a deep scowl set on her lips. You almost frowned at her, but you stopped yourself, thinking it would be best not to.
And then Akutagawa got out of his car, and walked straight into the café, holding his head down. You almost laughed now, thinking this would be really ridiculous and awkward.
Maybe they got into a heated argument, but you believed that maybe you could fix it here.
Akutagawa offered to buy you coffee, and Higuchi silently stood behind you two. You laughed again, a bit more loudly and pulled her hand to make her stand beside you two. Akutagawa sighed silently but realized maybe he should just be a bit more… approachable for now.
“So, what’s going on?” You asked quietly, sitting outside on the patio with Akutagawa and Higuchi. All three of you sat under an umbrella, at a small round table and instead of responding to you, they both took sips of their coffee and tea.
You grimaced and whispered, “Alrighty,” and you even nodded your head, glancing away from them.
Higuchi stared at her coworker, then to you, and back again to Akutagawa. Then she sighed deeply and pushed her head into her hands, seemingly very stressed.
“Are you guys, okay?” You blurted out, almost instantly cringing at yourself for that question, but Higuchi glanced up to you and smiled softly.
“Work stuff, that’s all. I forgot about an important deadline today – he reminded me about it, I just made a mistake, it’s okay.” She rambled, shrugging her shoulders as Akutagawa continued to stare at you.
For some reason, you felt that there was something heavy behind his stare, different than usual, maybe because of Higuchi. But you nodded back to her and grinned.
“Oh, it’ll be alright! I’m sure Akutagawa will help you out.” At the mention of his name, his eyebrows raised for a moment and then you gazed at him with an obviousness tone, “Right Aku?” You questioned, and he nodded after a moment of hesitation.
Aku – oh he felt so embarrassed at the name you used, he almost bristled when you said it. Higuchi already learned so much about him too, through you and he was worried each of you will learn things about him that he doesn’t want to speak about.
“What’s your news? I need to go home soon.” He went straight to the point, thoughts running through his mind about you and Higuchi. And he was reminded of what you said about that kiss! Would that happen still today? He doubted it but he ordered a mint tea so his breath would be decent if you did want to kiss him.
But still, he was sure that wasn’t going to happen because Higuchi was there. He wondered what she would think about this, and he sent her a look, thinking that maybe she’d be a bit jealous or confused? He wasn’t too sure. She very much liked you and that was clear to him, but he knew that she wouldn’t risk their work relationship, since you mattered so much to Akutagawa.
“I got a new job here! Right in the city, here! Yokohama, isn’t that amazing? I’m in the middle of moving my things to an apartment – they offered a place and good pay.” You spoke up excitedly and instantly the mood changed to a nervous excitement.
Akutagawa’s eyes widened completely, and he leaned in closer to you as if he didn’t hear you the first time and Higuchi let out a loud surprised laugh and cupped her hands over her mouth.
“No way!” She cheered back, bouncing slightly in her seat in excitement, she leaned over to you and patted your arm happily, “Congratulations! You will do great at your new job here.” And then she seemed to realize something once Akutagawa’s hand slammed down onto the table.
“What job?” He questioned, a suspicious tone to his voice and you shook your head to him, laughing it off.
“I’m so excited! Thank you,” You paused, and Higuchi and you both watched as Akutagawa’s hand slid off the table a bit dramatically and he stood up, demanding to know.
“What job? Don’t make me ask again.”
His tone made you frown slightly, confused at the way he seemed so aggressive. You would’ve thought he’d be happy since you two could hang out more often.
“At some tech place you probably haven’t heard of. Light Box? I’m going to be working in Human Resources and possibly communications.” You felt a bit defensive as you replied and Higuchi quickly spoke up after you, trying to calm Akutagawa down. She understood what that look on his face meant, and she really didn’t want him to ruin this café and expose the two of them to you.
“That’s really interesting! When do you start? Do you need help moving? I can come over and help if you’d like!” She giggled a bit nervously, trying to recall her training for situations like this. Akutagawa cleared his throat and pretended to adjust his pants and then sat back down, as if he didn’t just get very suspicious and angry.
You two glanced towards him for a few moments before you responded to her, “Oh wow, thanks Higuchi! And I start next week, I’m pretty nervous but excited.”
Meanwhile Akutagawa was very quiet, and a strange dark energy was surrounding him. He was thinking and trying to remember if Light Box was connected to the Port Mafia in any way, but he didn’t recall it. He knew it was a newer company, he remembered seeing it in the paper a few weeks ago, but he wasn’t too worried about that at the moment. He was almost scared at the fact you were moving here. He didn’t want you to move here!
You would definitely find out the truth about him. And he really didn’t want that to happen! He didn’t even feel safe at this café, knowing that somewhere nearby, there was probably a wanted sign for him, with a blurry picture. You would definitely know if you saw that – you couldn’t be that naive.
And he also needed to make sure you’re safe where you’re moving to. He spoke up, interrupting the conversation, “What’s your new address?”
You furrowed your eyebrows at him, a bit confused at the question. Was he wanting to know if you were close by, in the neighborhood to him? “It’s like a ten-minute drive from your place.” You responded, shrugging slightly.
He felt a little relieved that you lived somewhat close to him, but you didn’t respond to his question, really.
“But your address?”
Higuchi rolled her eyes at him, laughing nervously again at how demanding and weird he was being. Was he always like that with you? She wasn’t too sure.
“Oh yeah, what’s your address? I want to send a gift to help decorate your new place a bit! Right, Akutagawa? You wanted to do that too?” She spoke up, twirling her fingers in her hair as a nervous habit. You smiled at her and then took a sip of your drink.
“That’s sweet, I’ll text you guys the address later.” You answered and Akutagawa nodded, still tensed at the news. He was tense with Higuchi here too! This was all a strange situation but what mattered most was that you stayed safe and unaware of his work.
A few minutes later, Higuchi excused herself to go to the restroom, leaving you and Akutagawa alone. As soon as she went back inside, you leaned across the table and jokingly slapped at his hand. He kept still but narrowed his eyes at you.
“Why?” He asked, feeling a spike of an unexplained emotion leap in his chest, as you leaned closer to him. You pouted back to him, shaking your head and then grabbed his drink, taking a small sip from it to try it out.
“Why what? Oh, that tastes good. Mint isn’t your usual flavor though.” You responded, tilting your head slightly. You sighed and glanced over to the door, making sure Higuchi wasn’t there.
“And you’ve been acting like a bitch this entire time! I mean, you usually act like that but not this bad. Is there something going on between you and Higuchi?” You weren’t scared to call him out for all of it, which he scowled at. Usually, if someone called him a bitch, he would’ve hurt them, but he wouldn’t hurt you and maybe a few other people, like his sister and boss.
“No.” He flat out denied it and a surprised snort came out of your mouth, continuing with some laughs because of how fast he responded and how deadpan he was.
“Come on, are you okay? I’m kind of worried.” You became a bit more serious, and it made him pause slightly before letting his shoulders down as he sighed, glancing to the side as he thought about what to say.
One part of his mind wanted him to lecture you about moving here, and how unsafe it was. He would rather have you live very far away from here and he’d even pay you to do so, but he knew you’d deny that offer.
Another part of him also wanted to lecture you for not telling him sooner, and that you were hanging out with Higuchi instead of him. And then just a tiny part of his mind was screaming at him, wondering if you were actually going to kiss him today.
And he had imagined that kiss so many times ever since you said you’d kiss him. There were so many different scenarios he made up, maybe he’d have something on his cheek, and you’d lean in and point it out to him, but he still couldn’t wipe it off, so you wipe it off and then your lips brush against his – oh my, he almost felt himself blush just wondering about it now.
Or maybe it would be more intense. Maybe you’d confess your love to him, and he’d be very reluctant to even show you affection, and he’d let you kiss him. Yeah, he glanced at you and then almost chuckled, thinking of you confessing your love. That wouldn’t happen. You would confess your love in a very different way – like shouting it out from a rooftop and then calling him your little bitch, to which he’d walk away from you.
He snapped out of his thoughts when you touched his hand again, making him focus back on you. “I’m okay. Work hasn’t been good lately and,” He paused, feeling a bit touched that you were so worried, but also feeling strange to talk about his feelings.
“And it’s been stressful.” He finished up, gulping a little. He couldn’t tell you everything.
“Oh, no.” You responded and squeezed his hand in yours. He tried his best not to flush at the little affection, still frazzled by thinking about the kiss, but he figured he should ask about it too.
“Remember what we spoke about a couple nights ago?” He asked, eyes treading back to the door again to make sure Higuchi wasn’t coming. She still was in the bathroom.
“What? Oh!” You gasped and smiled brightly, “Thanks for reminding me! Yeah, I remember when we were talking about laundry, oh – I got to find a good laundromat around here.” He blinked back and then pulled his hand away from yours, instantly switching back into his scowl.
“Uh, yeah.” He barely responded, and gazed away from you, cursing at himself in his head. That was so dumb of him, of course you wouldn’t remember the conversation about kissing him… but it was also his fault, he should have asked a more specific question. You were talking about laundry, bringing up the other conversation you guys had that night. You two sat in silence and you looked at him with a kind smile, making him a little less upset.
Higuchi came back after a few moments and some time later, the three of you left. Akutagawa called Higuchi the moment he knew she was in the car and told her they needed to speak. They met up back at his place, once he was finished with the errands (the ones that Gin told him to do earlier).
Instead of letting Higuchi come inside, he insisted on sitting outside the door. “We can’t let her move here.” He spoke up, staring at the floor.
“Uh, sorry to disappoint you, but she will move here.” Higuchi responded and then quickly added on, “Unfortunately.”
He sighed, “Yes.”
“We can have security placed around the building.” Higuchi offered, which he quickly shot down with a mean stare at her. He didn’t like that idea, it would mean others would know that you were important to him or someone else in the Port Mafia, which would make you more of a target.
“We need to make sure everything is safe; she should’ve told me about this before…” He trailed off with a frown. There wasn’t enough time to research everything, like the company, where exactly you’re staying, who are your neighbors, if there’s any dangers around you. You sent the address thankfully, and he knew that area was mostly safe, but he still needed to check everything about it.
Higuchi was worried too, but there was a small excitement to it. She wanted you to be closer to her and Akutagawa, she’s noticed how he’s been so much kinder and different around you! It’s always shocking to see her coworker in a casual manner. He still wore his coat all the time, of course, just in case, but everything else changed about him.
She wondered if he’d ever develop smile lines if he were to hang out with you more. But either way, she liked you. The more she learned about you and the more she was around you, she started to understand why he kept you a secret from the Port Mafia. You were so normal and lovely, she really liked you. You were different compared to everyone in her life, in a good way.
Then Akutagawa spoke up, and Higuchi felt her heart drop at his words.
“We’re burning down the apartment building. It’ll give more time to find a safer place for her to stay. I’ll distract her, you can do burn it. Or maybe explosives…” He said it so casually that Higuchi’s jaw dropped.
“Is there no other way? Do we really need to set fire to her new place? She was so excited about it, I feel bad.” Higuchi opened up, showing her resistance to his plan and he rolled his eyes back to her.
“She’ll have an even better place; I can arrange it.” He shrugged and Higuchi hid her smile with one of her hands, feeling lucky to see this side of him. He was surprisingly sweet when he wanted to, even though he was planning on burning an apartment building down.
Later that night, you sent him a message about hoping onto a call. He thought it was a bit unusual, usually he reached out to you to join a call to play some games online together, but he joined the call a few minutes after you sent the message.
“Hello?” He spoke into his microphone, and he could practically hear your smile when you responded with, “Heeyyy,” elongating it with a laugh. He raised his eyebrows in response, even though you couldn’t see him.
“I’ve been thinking about it.” You spoke up and he heard some furious typing from your end, and he frowned for a second.
"You’re thinking? Oh no, that’s bad,” He quickly added on, “What?” He was curious about what you meant, and then you yawned into the microphone, mumbling something but he couldn’t catch what you said, so he repeated his question.
“I know what you meant back there, you wanted to see if I would really kiss you.” You replied, and that was when he noticed something was off about your voice. You were tired beyond relief it sounded like – you yawned again when you repeated it, and even though the subject got his heart beating faster, he was much more worried about you being sleepy.
“What are you doing? Why aren’t you asleep?” He didn’t bother to respond to what you said about the kiss, and he heard you laugh and yawn at the same time, and you even hit your head against the microphone, making him confused.
“I kind of like – I pulled my mattress up the stairs and uh, then the couch and my dresser and like- yeah.” You rambled on, yawning again and he sighed into the microphone.
“You need to sleep, stop being stupid.” He criticized, shaking his head at you. Then you turned on your camera, and he almost flinched back at the mess.
You looked crazy tired, there was sweat all over you and dust and dirt stained on your face, and the background was so messy. All that furniture you just mentioned was stacked behind you and it looked a bit dangerous, and he turned on his camera to show how crazy he thought you were.
“You stupid idiot! It’s going to fall all over you! How are you going to sleep tonight?” He lectured, pointing out all of the furniture, “Is that a glass vase? And you put it on the edge of your mattress, that’s standing up in the wrong way?”
“Yeah…” You responded, glancing behind you, and realizing that wasn’t the best placement.
“Are you trying to die from a glass vase? That’s a fucking dumb way to die, idiot.” He practically shouted at you, and you rolled your eyes at before standing up and reaching for the vase. As he continued berating you with insults, you took the vase into your hands and placed it on the floor instead.
“That’s better.” You nodded to yourself, placing your hands on your hips before glancing to the screen again.
“Again, how are you sleeping?” It sounded so ridiculous to him that he was arguing with you about this, like he was a concerned parent, wanting their child to go to sleep at a reasonable time with a clean room. He remembered how stupid he thought parents looked when they got worried over some small drama about their kids, but here he was acting just like them.
“Yeah, I’ll sleep on the floor with a pillow and blanket.” You responded, sipping on a glass of water. Akutagawa shook his head, disappointed, and then stayed silent for a few moments, contemplating if he should invite you over. You could sleep on his bed – no, actually, you can sleep on the couch, that was what you deserved for being so stupid, he thought.
“Come over and sleep on my couch. Higuchi can help you settle in tomorrow.” It was like an order he would say to his team, the Black Lizard and then he got rid of that thought when an uncomfortable emotion hit his chest.
“Aww, you really want that kiss, huh?” You teased him and then laughed when he swore something mean to you. You shook your head back to him and sighed gently, leaning towards the camera.
“Did you really want a kiss? I thought you would have wanted your first kiss to be special.” You spoke again, sitting and waiting for him to respond. He glanced away from the screen, not used to you being serious.
“No, kisses are pathetic, only for weak-minded people.” He said it so defensively that you raised your eyebrows at him for a moment and grinned before nodding.
“You’re acting like an assassin with omnipotent powers again,” You paused for a moment and then laughed, trying to imitate him, “No kiss, only kill.” And then laughed again and he chuckled, feeling like that was one of the closest descriptions you’ve ever had of him, without truly knowing what he does for a living.
“Are you coming over or not?” He asked, getting annoyed when he saw you yawn again.
“No, fuck off.” You laughed back tiredly. He rolled his eyes, and replied with a short, “Bitch.”
When one of your books fell off the top of your cabinet that was placed strangely, you jumped and Akutagawa only shook his head to you, saying, “Higuchi will help you tomorrow.” In his head, he was already planning on what to do with you once Higuchi got you out of your place so she would set fire to that apartment building.
And then you can move even closer to him and possibly Higuchi to stay as safe as possible. He also needed to find a way to hide his profession from you. It wouldn’t work out if you saw all those wanted signs of him and watched the news. Or he could even try to find another better job, but he knew that wouldn’t work. You’d be too suspicious about it and try to investigate it.
There was so much to do, such little time. He needed to hide his true identity around you better and keep Higuchi from acting like an idiot.

Gradually I myself became... the dragon (c)
That was a line from the animated short “The dragon” I knew since my childhood. This simple but powerful cartoon was about how even the purest and the most noble heart can be corrupted by absolute power, turning a hero into the evil he wanted to defeat. Keep in mind.
I always found the idea of Jack becoming immortal interesting and illogical at the same time in 5 season. In 6 episode of 3 season in the final scene, Jack from the distant future looks much older than in 5 season, and he has a few gray strands of hair and more rough face, i.e. he indeed ages. Not to mention about comics, which perfectly developed and showed not only this episode with this detail, but also Jack’s decision to stay in the future and the power of Jack’s noble soul. How is it all connected with what we see in 5 season? Might I remind you, in 5 season Jack’s immortality was explained not as “He became immortal, because all time portals are destroyed, so he has no ties with his era anymore”, but as “He traveled in time, so that’s why he doesn’t age” (it makes no sense, since Aku couldn’t know about this effect — unless he somehow and for unknown reasons experimented with it, using mortals).
5 season created lots of plot holes and contradictions, including time paradox. For example, if we look at the early ending of 5 season. When Jack returned to the past, he changed the future, literally destroying this future with all his friends (well, it’s actually Ashi’s fault, not Jack’s). Why he did not disappear with Ashi, if his past version already was sent to Aku's future, which is already destroyed and doesn’t exist (including also Ashi, all habitants of this future, the time portals and other ways for Jack’s past version to return to the past and to defeat Aku, who is already defeated even before past Jack’s arrival in Aku’s future)? Why didn't the paradox happen? By this logic they both should be erased from existence. Let’s return to Jack’s immortality. He again traveled in time. So, his immortality disappeared or not? Is Jack still ageless or he is again mortal? And if he is immortal, maybe he will become the one his past version will fight with in the future? After all, he has every chance to become a tyrant, obsessed with purity, protecting and virtue (in his eyes). Especially considering the ideology in which he grew up, and the future in which he lived almost all his life. And he has all rights to revenge to those three alien gods for his lost lady friend (no matter how much I despise Ashi as a character, it's a nasty act of the gods not to help Jack in any way after everything he's been through because of them — I think, they actually could bring her back to life).
Let’s see the new canonical ending, shown in the official game (which also had lots of contradictions and plot holes, but it’s another story). If in 10 episode the context about Aku’s death (i.e. Aku died for some reason instead of becoming imprisoned in the stone tree again), in the ending of the game we see apparently hinting the end of Ashi’s long infection by demonic blood (i.e. she’s a human indeed, not some demonic mutant or hybrid or whatever) and probably the loss of all those sudden superpowers from nowhere. They both traveled in time, they both alive and live happily in the past (hence no paradoxes, but if the future with Jack’s friends is still exists, Aku clearly is pissed off and kicks their butts to death — and since there’s no paradoxes, Aku can travel to the past and prevent Jack’s birth, killing all his family and destroying the sword — I could say, if he didn’t die in the time pocket Between-Time). So... if Jack is still immortal ‘cause of time-travelling, does it mean that Ashi is immortal too?
Maybe Jack from the past will fight against the two dragons. Because endless ruling and absolute power always corrupt and destroy. It is a bad idea to depersonalize evil, because in this case we will not be able to discern it in ourselves.

hii can i request a drabble with chuuya and akutagawa where they have a really big soft spot for their s/o and they’re so sweet to her that she genuinely doesnt know how mean/intimidating they are to other people? but then they’re see how they are with others and then *schocked pikachu face*
Hello anon~ I know I kept ya waiting for a few days now. I've been pretty brain dead. To be honest I don't think this is my best but nonetheless I wrote it in hopes you'd like it. (╥﹏╥) Chuuya's is under the cut.
Genre: Bittersweet.
Word Count: 413.
You were basically the light of his life. That spark of warmth that touched his cold soul and made him softer to love. And you absolutely adored Akutagawa. There wasn't a time you ever saw him in a negative manner. That didn't exist in your eyes. To you, Akutagawa was your caring, protective boyfriend.
Although some people would try to convince you otherwise. They would go off about how ruthless and cold Akutagawa treated them when you left. A lot of times, they would beg you to stay.
“Just stay for a moment and you can see just how horrible he treats us!”
You shook your head in disbelief and started for the door. It was like they were being melodramatic about your sweet boyfriend. He couldn't be the nightmare everyone talks about. Not when he sneaks cheek kisses and holds your hand out in public.
***
Day after day, the curiosity did begin to eat away at your brain. Maybe if you stayed this time to watch Akutagawa work, you could get rid of these silly thoughts in your head once and for all. So you stayed at his work and observed from a safe distance to see how he would react.
At first, you just saw Akutagawa carrying on with work like you pictured. Just him walking about and attending meetings. You were about to turn and head home when you suddenly heard an outburst that made you jump.
“USELESS COWARDS! ARE YOU EVEN CAPABLE OF DOING ANYTHING RIGHT?”
He growled and men were sent back flying into a wall from rashomon smacking them harshly. It was a terrifying sight to behold. To think, your protective and quiet boyfriend was capable of being so violent. His ability was intimidating to say the least, but you couldn't just watch him throw people around!
“Aku!”
You stepped out from the corner you were hiding behind. And he didn't even look surprised that you saw him this way. It was bound to happen so he had mentally prepared himself for this day.
“Now that you've seen what I really am, I'm sure you want to break up —”
He was interrupted mid-sentence by you wrapping your arms around his neck and leaning in to kiss his cheek. Akutagawa stared at you wide eyed. Why did you love a monster like him?
“It doesn't matter if you're not as sweet and nice all the time. I still love you, Aku. Nothing is going to change that.”
Genre: Bittersweet.
Word Count: 469.
You didn't want him to leave for work. He always gave the warmest cuddles in the morning and you couldn't help but miss his sweet voice. But as a hard working executive in the mafia, you knew what you signed up for.
He gave you one last kiss that would always last longer than intended as he left for work. You rolled around in bed then decided to pull out your phone to open a message you received from a friend.
“I just ran into your boyfriend and he's fucking terrifying! He gave me the ugliest glare when I asked about having lunch with you this weekend!”
You laughed it off and messaged her back that there's no way he would be that ugly towards someone. He was such a sweetheart to you all the time. When you were around Chuuya, he never gave off an aggressive attitude.
“I wouldn't lie about this sort of stuff you know. This is like the fifth time this week! Have you ever thought maybe he's just acting nice for your sake?”
Come to think of it, you don't really know how Chuuya acts at work or when you're not with him. The idea of seeing a different side of your boyfriend was enticing but also scary.
“What if he gets upset with me for sneaking around his work?”
“I highly doubt he would get angry with his true love!”
***
You showed up at his work and that was terrifying alone. Given that you're Chuuya's significant other, almost everyone in the mafia is aware of your identity. Chuuya made sure of that in any case you had to be anywhere near his work, that they couldn't touch you or harm you.
“Such a vast building.. how am I going to find him —”
The sound of a familiar voice echoed throughout the hallway. It sounded like it was closing in too. Quickly, you opened a door to an office and closed it gently.
“IDIOT!! I SAID TO CAPTURE HIM ALIVE! SO WHY IS HE DEAD?!”
You winced hearing a loud slam against a wall. Your eyes peering out the glass panel of the door to see your boyfriend holding a subordinate of his by the throat. It was horrifying to see him so angry and violent. As much as you wanted to stop him, your legs wouldn't move. Your heart raced with fear.
“Next time you fail me I'll rip you to pieces.”
Chuuya tossed the man aside and walked towards the door you were hiding behind. You stumbled over to his desk and hid underneath, holding your breath.
“I know you're in here. Come out now and I'll make sure it's a light punishment.”
You crawled out shaking with wide eyes and Chuuya reflected that expression. Fuck. He just scared the living daylights out of his darling.
“I could of sworn you were another incompetent subordinate of mine. Sorry, love.”
He gently reached out to pull you into a gentle embrace. Your heart was still pounding against your chest but the gentleness of his hug eased the tension. Note to self, do not follow him to work again.

3. Strength
We learn some more about our outstanding team and we find that Ryoko is a strong girl... she just lifted Dazai over her shoulder with ease.
Okay Bokuto was actually very funny Ryoko found. Akaashi was a seemingly less dead inside version of Fyodor and she appreciated that greatly.
“Fukami Aoba Johsai’s captain wants to talk to you.” Higuchi said, venom lacing her words. The pinkette rolled her eyes making Akaashi giggle quietly.
“Alright blondie where are they?”
“Don’t call me blondie you hoarder.” She snapped. “Over there in the light blue t-shirt.”
“Yikes someone didn’t get their daily dose of Aku today. Nice chat boys talk soon.”
Oikawa wasn’t stupid enough to say he wasn’t nervous to talk to the pink haired girl, he’s a confident man, stupidly cocky and competitive but he knows when he needs to back down from the alpha dog. Ryoko being the Alpha dog. She was terrifying, even mad dog stared towards their team in awe. They looked friendly enough but Toru Oikawa was astute enough to figure out something was up with the Yokohama team.
Strong
Fast
Incredibly keen
He needed to know and he was going to ask each and every player on that team.
Hirotsu fiddled with his monocle and watched as the students mingled, called parents or friends and generally did their own things, the Fukurodani coach stepped beside him.
“Takeyuki Yamiji.” He says. “Your team is something.”
“Ryuro Hirotsu. Yes they are.” He smiled. “Fukurodani is quite strong too.”
“In comparison to your lot I’ll definitely take that compliment.” The man laughed. “I’m sure you know half the reason Yokohama was invited was so we could learn your plays.”
“We know.” Hirotsu said smugly.
“Then I must ask why agree? Some of us definitely aren’t near your level we were surprised you agreed to join the camp.” Yamiji wondered.
“Let’s just say our lot needs some normalcy. Our school is very much performance based they need to be good at everything they set their minds too. They can do it they are strong kids but a misstep would... uh... anger them. We don’t pressure them to be perfect in any way- we want them to do well... and they enjoy teaching others. The third years like being mentors, the second years want to show off just a little and the first years want to be seen outside of Volleyball. A training camp gives them freedom.” Ranpo interjected.
“Very well said Edogawa.” Hirotsu laughed. Yamiji nodded in understanding.
“Shiratorizawa’s coach needs to be more like you, he’s stuck in his old ways- should have seen his face when your girls weren’t managers.”
“Ugh.” Ranpo sneered. If only they all knew what the Yokohama team really was they’d change their tune.
“Ugh indeed.” Yamiji laughed. “I should go make sure Bokuto isn’t planning on kidnapping Fukami from you he looks so sad now that she’s gone over to Oikawa and their Ace.”
“Perhaps, she has that affect on people.” Hirotsu smiled. She carries a warmth about her that gets hidden by a stone like shell with cracks running through it. The warmth would be a raging fire if not held back.
All of the Yokohama team was like that- they weren’t normal the school made certain they knew that, no one at that school was. Could you even call it a school? Principal Fukuzawa wasn’t entirely pleased by the governments methods of teaching.... non of the teachers were... it’s not teaching if the kids pass out.
Speaking of Hirotsu should go with the other coaches to check on the food Ranpo will be alright alone.
“Oikawa and Iwaizumi right? Blondie sent me over.” The pinkette said lazily. She could see the side eyes of her teammates it’s not like she was going to attack anyone that only happened once and she wholeheartedly believes Twain deserved it.
“Just wanted to meet you. We’ll play against you tomorrow and since we’ll be stuck together for a while maybe become friends?” Oikawa answered. Ryoko snorted at his tone.
“If you have no intentions of being friends don’t pretend I don’t like liars. You seem like a smart guy just ask your questions.”
“Okay fine you got me what gave me away?” Oikawa laughed, genuinely laughed.
“Iwaizumi’s face.” Said Ace went to speak before noticing the quirk on her lips, she was teasing them. “But seriously what’s up milk bread.”
Oikawa spluttered, Iwaizumi snorted and all else who heard snickered quietly. Okay maybe not quietly Tendo found that comment extremely funny.
“Well I was offering a branch of friendship for volleyball note swapping but after that comment.” Oikawa huffed.
“In other words what kind of training do you all do?” Iwaizumi asked.
“Oh- you should talk to Oda and Chuuya on that stuff. I just show up and hit things.” She chuckled. It didn’t seem genuine if the Aoba Johsai players were honest. Her fiery eyes darken slightly, “Honestly we just work well together, like all of you we train each section, play and style to near perfection but again those questions are best for the Captains milk bread.”
“I’m not going to live that down now.” Oikawa grumbled.
“No way milk bread.” Iwaizumi teased. Ryoko twitched and pulled on her braid watching them with an awfully calm watchful gaze, like an animal studying something new. “Let’s let Fukami go back to her team I think her manager wants her.”
Ryoko nodded abruptly and walked back towards the dark haired man she was near attached to.
Fyodor had been watching, as had most of the Yokohama team or at least the Akutagawa’s, Ranpo, Junichiro and coach- who knows what the others were up to... Atsushi was making friends, Chuuya was grumbling to Dazai and Oda with the Karasuno and Nekoma Captains and vices. Ryoko had been with Bokuto and Akaashi but Higuchi had soured her mood (she was now as motioned before speaking with Oikawa and Iwaizumi).
Fyodor often watched, he had no reason to interact unless necessary and no one was coming over to him just yet thankfully. His pale bony fingers played with the silver band on his wrist, it wasn’t a nervous tick or anything just caution. Ryoko and Chuuya wore one too and stupidly many people just assumed they were friend (they are but that’s not the point) ship bracelets. Nope just some spectacular silver bands to keep the three of them controlled.
Purple eyes caught stark grey ones, Chuuya had been thumbing his own bracelet but had made a motion towards Ryoko with his eyes. Fyodor followed till he caught her tense shoulders. The pinkette’s head jerked quickly and only just noticeable to those who knew it was a tick she gained while trying to keep herself controlled- one Chuuya shared. Fyodor didn’t have ticks, he had intelligence and poise... he had a terrible habit to mumble not that anyone would tell him less they face the wrath of their stoic volleyball manager. Ryoko looked uncomfortable, like she wanted to itch at her skin and pull her hair, she was tugging on her braid is that close enough. Her chuckle fell through the air as Iwaizumi called Oikawa milk bread again, more mutters, then the pinkette was soon by his side again.
“Are you alright Ryo?”
“Fine. You? You’re playing with the band again.”
“You noticed?”
“Chuuya is too.” She said pointedly. “I hate wearing it.” She muttered.
“Alright Burnabitch how about we go get dinner.” Fyodor raised a thin brow waiting for the pinkette to get his joke.
“Oh fuck you Rat Bastard it was one time and Kaji deserved it.” She snorted pushing him out the door.
Sakusa watched too, less sternly than Fyodor but definitely more than Atsumu and Osamu were. The trio was off to the side, Atsumu searching for his favourite short ginger (Hinata where are you?).
“You think those two are together?” They heard Lev ask. Yaku hummed in response watching the two Yokohama students walk towards the cafeteria.
“They most certainly aren’t.” Akutagawa scoffed.
“Sound jealous.” Dazai snickered.
“Am not.”
“Are too.”
“Am not Dazai.”
“Are too Akuuu!”
“Is the Yokohama team normally this... chaotic? Their energy off the court is so different to their energy on.” Sakusa grumbled.
“It’s like they get to act like kids off the court or something. They aren’t getting in trouble so maybe it’s normal.” Osamu shrugged.
“Maybe. They just were so scary when we played against them.” Atsumu shivered. “Especially their setter... pretty sure he was going to set dunk my face.”
“You were flirting with the female middle blocker.” Sakusa droned.
“HE DID WHAT!”
“That’s you’re cue to run!” Oda yelled gripping what he could of Akutagawa with the arm that wasn’t in a sling.
“Running!”
The evening seemed to go by stagnantly. Everything moving either slowly or too quick bouncing from person to person.
Dinner was nice, sushi and soft drink with some fried chicken if anyone wanted some. Desert was some ice-cream. Pretty simple thankfully. Now everyone was in their designated rooms chatting and messing around until lights out
Atsushi and Tanizaki were bumbling around chatting quietly, Hinata attempted to join but to no avail the two apologised saying their coach sent them a message and ran off. The poor small ginger he was so confused.
“Uh it’s basically bed time man?” Tanaka said as Akutagawa stood to leave.
“Not for me. Good night.”
And with that the door was slammed.
Again the evening felt odd.
“Gin? Ryoko? Higuchi? Where did they go?” Yachi wondered noticing the three empty beds. With hands on her hips she sticks her head out the door but either girl were in sight. “Have any of you seen them?”
“Not since showers.” Kiyoko answered. The girls brows furrowed- where did they go?
“Dazai you can’t go to bed yet.” Oda sighed.
“But I’m tired.”
“No you aren’t dumbass.” Chuuya kicked him.
“Hey what’s going on guys?” Kuroo and Daichi asked.
“We must go coach needs us.” Fyodor answered cryptically. A knock on the door startled everyone.
“Why does this feel like the start of something bad?” Asahi asked quietly before Sugawara whacked him on the head with a mighty negativity be gone.
“Oi Dazai get up lazy ass.”... Ryoko?
“Ryoko?” Bokuto asked with innocent confusion.
“Sup Owlking.” Ryoko grinned with her hands on her hips. “Dazai get up before I make you everyone else has headed over besides you four.”
“I’m going.” Chuuya and Oda said rushing out the door.
“Don’t wanna.” Dazai sung. Fyodor sighed, Ryoko’s eye twitched.
“Don’t say she didn’t warn you.” Fyodor said.
The third years watched as the pinkette strolled into the room slowly towards the seemingly unmovable Dazai and lifted him up.
No struggles or tugs just picked him up and threw him over her shoulder.
The third years sat gobsmacked.
“How?” Oikawa managed to get out.
“I work out.” She winked before sashaying out the door with Dazai swaying and grumbling over her shoulder. Fyodor just sighed again and followed out.
What the hell is up with that team?

It was very rare that your usual calm and cool composure was compromised, but every once in awhile life got to you and made you lose your bearings. This usually happened when you were under an immense amount of stress or you were on your period. In this particular moment, it was currently your period. “Y’know what? No, I’m over this. There is nothing to eat in this god forsaken house and I KNOW I just went grocery shopping.” Slamming the cabinet doors close, you would let out an exasperated exhale as you threw yourself down at your shabby kitchen table. Little did you know that Akutagawa had currently just arrived home with takeout and groceries. He wasn’t dumb, afterall. He knew what time of month it was by the way you had bit his head off earlier in the day about something rather trivial. That and he had noticed that you had stripped the sheets on the bed first thing in the morning. “Rough day?” He would chuckle, walking right past you as he placed the groceries on the counter. “You have no idea. I’m so slumped. And annoyed.” You would grumble, ignoring how your boyfriend continued to chuckle. Why was he laughing at you? “I’m sure you are. That’s why I picked up a couple of things at the store for you. You can take a peek if you want,” Aku would say nonchalantly as he tossed a bag onto the table, never once turning around to watch you. Letting out a small ‘hmph’, curiosity would win you over in the end and you would end up just having to look in the bag. It was then you would gasp. A bouquet of flowers, a substantial amount of chocolate, and some painkillers would sit before you. You hadn’t even told him and yet he somehow knew. He always knew, really. That was one of the things you loved most about him: he picked up on the little things that meant a lot to you. “Aku...” You would start, standing from your seat to approach him in the kitchen. “How-I mean-thank you-I,” You would stutter over your words, struggling to find the right ones to say. “I hope you feel better soon. Maybe later I can draw you a bath?” Aku would murmur, halting his actions to pull you into his arms and press a kiss to the crown of your head. “Perhaps, you could just cuddle me instead.” You would suggest, melting into his touch as he pulled you in even closer and tighter, mostly so you wouldn’t have to see the blush that was creeping ever so slightly to his cheeks. “Whatever you want my precious Y/N.”

“Stop it.” You would growl, crossing your arms across your chest as you stared straight forward, avoiding eye contact at all costs. “Pardon?” Chuuya would ask rather innocently, cocking his head to the side as he stared at you with complete and total bewilderment. “Stop.” You would say again, finally snapping your head up to stare at him, eyes cold. “You-Just-Could-You-Please—Ugh-Just—“ You would stumble over your words as you stared at him miserably. He clearly had got caught in a rainstorm on his way home from work and due to this he was drenched from head to toe, water dripping in a messy puddle around him. It wasn’t the mess you were worried about, however. He could drip mud and water throughout the entire house for all you cared. It was the way he looked. His wet hair framing his face perfectly, his clothes clinging to his open chest in the most seductive way. Your damn period always made your...er...hormones a little wacky meaning you got a little bit too turned on by Chuuya when you were menstruating. Not that you weren’t typically turned on by your boyfriend, but when you were on your period your emotions were heightened tremendously. “Y/N, are you?” Chuuya would giggle darkly knowing exactly what your black eyes and nervous stutters meant. “You have no idea.” You would groan, throwing your head back as you closed your eyes. “Mmm, just say the word and I’m all yours, baby.” Peeling the wet shirt from his body, you would nearly choke out a sob throwing your head in your hands, the image before you too beautiful. “Y/N?” Chuuya would say, urgency coloring his tone as he tried to pry your hands from your face, but to no avail. “I’m on my period. I can’t.” You would finally sigh, peeking at him through your fingers, cheeks flushed. “Oh, yeah! I forgot you get super horny when you’re on your period,” Chuuya laughed more to himself than anything as he walked over to you, draping the blanket that hung over the back of the couch over your shoulders, ruffling your fringe playfully. You could hear his steps fading into the background and finally felt it was safe to raise your head knowing that he was no longer around. When he returned, he held a heating pad in his hand, with a steaming mug of hot tea in the other, clothes completely dry and comfy. “For you.” He would say, handing you both things as he sat next to you on the couch, careful to sit far away. “You’re more than welcome to come cuddle with me, but I don’t want to make you even more miserable. I know you can’t resist me during these times,” wiggling his eyebrows, he would shriek when a pillow would be sent flying to his face. “Arrogant prick.”

D A Z A I
“Is it too late to take you up on that double suicide?” You would moan, arms clutching your abdomen as you spoke to your loving boyfriend. You two were currently in bed with no intentions on leaving. Why? It was simple. It was that special time of the month for you which meant cramps. Not to downplay anyone else’s cramps, but your cramps were particularly bad. No, not bad, awful. No, not awful, atrocious. Absolutely, positively atrocious. “C’mere.” Ignoring your request Dazai would pull you against his chest, resulting in you to hum contently as his warm arms would encompass you in a tight embrace. “I’m sorry you’re feeling poorly.” he would whisper in your ear, hands sliding down your body till they got to your lower abdomen. “Is this where they are hurting you, my love?” He would inquire softly, pressing a short kiss to the space behind your ear sending shivers down your spine in the process. Nodding weakly in response, Dazai would take this as consent to begin to massage the skin softly. At first you would wince, but then it would begin to bring you relief, his skilled fingers working through the low aches that brewed inside you like a tsunami. “That feels nice,” you would sigh, relief trickling over you at last as your head lolled against his chest. “That’s it, Y/N. Close your eyes and let me take care of you.” Dazai would coo, loving how your body relaxed against his touch, knowing that he was bringing you a relief to this pain that you had never quite found before. You could feel your eyes growing heavy, your body growing warm. A deep slumber was emerging from the shadows but the moment felt too perfect, too relaxing for you to fall asleep even though if it was what you needed most right now. “Quit fighting it, you need to sleep.” Dazai would say knowingly as if he could read your mind. “I’ll be here when you wake again, I promise my sweet rose.” With those words, you would snuggle even deeper into his chest honing in on the magic his fingers were working allowing you to get some rest for the first time in days. You had asked yourself a million times the question that surfaced in your head before falling asleep: how had you grown so lucky to have him in your life? What had you deserved to have the heart of Osamu Dazai? You may never know but you didn’t care. You were just happy to have him.

How about a fluffy (or perhaps smutty) scenario where the reader comforts Akutagawa in regards to the shit Dazai put him through? I want my edge Lord to realize that he doesn't need Dazai's praise because he is amazing and beautiful on his own. Make our boy feel loved 💜
Uhhh, so this kinda got out of hand at the end, but I hope you like it! I have a terrible grasp of Akutagawa's personality AND how his fluff would manifest with a partner but somehow I appear to write fluff with him the best? Anyways enjoy!
Lazy July afternoons were the epitome of bliss. It was a brief window of time in which the world wandered by without a care, in which, as the sun sets and tendrils of sunlight trickled through the window, the summer heat gets into everyone's head and frankly, no one has the energy to do anything except take a nap.
And that was precisely what you ended up doing. Cocooned in a nest of blankets and nestled in a warm bed with the air conditioning on full blast, there was no other place you would like to be right now. Add to the fact that Akutagawa's body temperature was a default freezing, it was a nice past-time for a summer afternoon; it was as if you had no care in the world.
Shifting across the blankets to find a cooler spot, you were about to fall back into dreamland when you heard a wince from Akutagawa. Normally you would have ignored it and went back to sleep, but the moment there was a tight grip on your arm draped across his abdomen you knew something was wrong; Akutagawa may be hostile to touches from time to time, but he had never stopped you in the middle of something.
"Are you okay?" Alertness started coming to your brain, though it was still slow; there was still a hint of sleepiness coating your tone as you sat up, taking care not to brush against him, lest you trigger something else. You weren't sure what had happened, but you guessed it may have something to do with the scars blooming all over his body. He had willingly exposed himself to you once, when you dressed a flesh wound on his chest, and noticed the network of criss-cross scars, as well as what looked like small punctures on his skin (quick research made you realise that those were bullet marks, and you were shocked at that). Experience taught you that scars tend to leave ghost trails of pain even long after the wounds have closed, and judging from the extent of injuries Akutagawa suffered from, your accidental brushes might have forced a dizzying wave of pain back into his system.
"Fine." Despite his words, you could see the flash of pain that went across his face, and you sighed. "I'll go get some painkillers; wait here." As you prepared to - unwillingly - get out of bed, Akutagawa caught at your hand, managing to hold onto your little finger, giving a small tug; this was a clear sign he wanted you to stay, so you did, though kicking the blankets away to watch over him properly.
A quick glance at Akutagawa's face made you realise that it was no longer contorted in pain anymore, and he was just lying there, as if contemplating something. You raised your eyebrows at this, but said nothing, letting the silence be broken by occasional splutters of the air conditioner and the spilling of sunset into your bedroom; the sunlight fell short on his face, but illuminated his cheekbones and eyelashes, startling you with the seeming display of youth.
Had Akutagawa really been this young? His mannerisms and speech frequently persuaded you otherwise, but after you reasoned that there was no way you would've chosen someone notably more mature than you, you realised that he was. His time in the mafia had hardened him; his mentions of his superior, a man named 'Dazai', reflected to you a certain degree of hardship and torture he was subject to in the organization, which would likely have forced him to grow up as well.
For that moment, you found yourself bearing hate for a man you haven't even met, much less having a grasp of his personality.
"What's wrong?" You were the first to break the silence, as always; the words escaped from your mouth quietly, as if you didn't want to break the sudden tranquility in the mood. The singular moment that took your eyes to meet his was enough to catch you off guard, and another insistent tug made you fall back onto the bedsheets with a small groan. Before you knew it, his eyes were inches away, the tip of his nose - cold - brushing against yours, in a distance close enough to kiss. Heat crept up your cheeks, but you forced yourself to maintain eye contact with the man in front of you. Then, he opened his mouth and a single statement tumbled out, "You're too fragile."
"Says you?" Eyebrows raised, you ran the pad of your thumb lightly down the hidden scar on the column of his neck. Immediately, he gave a small wince. "Since when did strong and tough mafiaso get triggered by scars, I wonder." You shouldn't tease him like this, cruel words with a sarcastic edge, especially not about his scars, but you couldn't help it; the more you thought about who inflicted those on him, and how he still suffers from them, the more you feel anger rising within you -- and somehow you had decided to take it out on him.
The effect told hold -- too well, you thought bitterly -- and his eyes narrowed at you, the fire kindled within them again. Just as you were bracing yourself for the onslaught of Rashomon, he suddenly deflated, and guilt crossed his face. "You were right."
"I - I am?"
"Yes. If only I was as strong as Dazai-san - "
His words were immediately cut off. Akutagawa's lips were still freezing beneath yours, which sent a shiver down your spine, but it was worth the surprised - or what passed for surprised - look on his face as you pulled away. "What was that for, _________?"
"You're already strong enough, Ryunosuke." You probably shouldn't, after a narrow escape from the tiger's fangs, but you reached up and wrapped your arms around his neck, where another criss-cross patch of scars sat. Luckily, he only stiffened under your hold. "Remember? Otherwise I would've died." Untangling an arm, you pulled down a corner of your shirt to reveal the thin strip of white skin tissue running across your shoulder, shivering slightly from the sudden exposure.
His face was hidden from view, but you could feel his icy fingers fluttering above the wound hesitantly. "The bullet...." One of Port Mafia's enemies had decided to take down Akutagawa - their so-called 'trump card' -- sometime ago by kidnapping you, his dearest person, holding you hostage, and intending to kill him as soon as he showed up. Little did they underestimate their power, and he had wiped them out in a matter of seconds, though one last brave attempt by the sole survivor had left you a souvenir dangerously near your neck; a true shot that missed thanks to Akutagawa. "Does it...still hurt?"
"A little." You admitted, and was about to pull away from him when you felt a pair of -- still freezing -- lips press onto the wound. An embarrassing gasp escaped from you as your hands tightened around his neck, which turned into a moan as he diligently worked his way up the column of your neck, ending with a sharp nip right behind your ear. "R-Ryunosuke!"
"And aren't you just like me, __________." You thought he was mad, but a look at his face revealed the beginnings of a smirk tugging at his mouth. "At least I wasn't the one attempting to be strong," You huffed, sitting up. "I, unlike a certain someone, know my boundaries."
"Do you?"
Akutagawa, magically, lost the staring contest.
"Anyways, I was serious about what I was saying earlier, Ryunosuke." You leaned back against the headboard, shifting a little to let him have some sitting room next to you. The fading sunset traced out a line of sunlight right across his shoulder, which ran across the scar on your still exposed shoulder. "You don't have to compare yourself against anyone else because you're already strong enough." Reaching over, you clasped his hand, feeling your warmth bleed into his. When he attempted to open his mouth -- no doubt the beginnings of an argument -- you immediately cut in. "Especially not against Dazai-san. I don't care how good he might be, he'll never be you, Ryunosuke."
"Me." There was a hint of bitterness underneath. "What about me?"
"You're amazing." You shifted closer to him, and began to pick your next words carefully. "You were able to survive his training. I don't think anyone else would've been able to do that so well. You also have proof to show for it, see?" Bringing his hand up, you started tracing his scars. "The fruits of your success." Turned over; the star-shaped paleness inside his wrist. "The proof of your hardship." One jagged line running up his arm and disappearing into his shirt. "The - "
"Was that the prelude to your testing my resolve?" Somehow, you found yourself pinned underneath him, his knees holding your legs firmly in place; his ankle dug sharply into yours, but the suddenness somehow made your brain register only the proximity of his face from yours, allowing for a tiny 'oh' escaping from your mouth.
"I didn't - " A small voice at the back of your mind was reminded vaguely that this scenario had played out only seconds ago, but they soon faded into nothing as his tongue worked roughly against yours, forcing its way into your mouth and effectively cutting off the stem of words you were about to say. "If that was a test of strength, I would say I passed it successfully, no?" Mind still spiralling into a whirlpool of confusion, you barely registered his words and the fact that his fingers tilted your head so that your eyes bore into his, which had turned dark.
"Or do you need more proof of my so-called power*?"
Brief note: Because the word for 'power' and 'strength' in Japanese can be used interchangeably, Aku could also have said 'strength', which may have another meaning ;)

Diamonds and Voodoo
Brothers and Bandicoots
This was rewritten when I discovered that the document had been nothing but a word salad. This one should be much better!
Taki-Taki returns to Morioh in order to fulfill a particular agreement. Sadly, all she got was her dad walking off, two brothers with daddy issues, egotistical assholes and bandicoot urine on a landmark. Oh joy.
"Yes. I would like to confirm this very information to the Speedwagon Foundation. Apparently defeating Angelo merely revealed a new part of the going ons in Morioh. Something that could only be trouble for everyone living here and maybe even further." Spoke Jotaro Kujo, the man currently on the phone in his hotel room.
Pictures of a now deceased Angelo's mugshot with a report paper taped to the back, another picture of a disembodied hand on a table set with breakfast for one, and a small booklet that read Morioh City's Report. The man could only stare at them with pure concern.
/I wasn't born with this power! No, it was given to me by a man in a student's uniform. He appeared in my cell one night. I was so scared that my balls were in my stomach. In his hand was an ancient bow and arrow, it had to be around 100 years old. Next thing I knew, he shot the arrow into my neck. Saying the reason I survived and got this power because my soul was so strong. If you kill me, then he'll come get you too!/
Information the man had given just before Josuke and Taki-Taki trapped the psycho in his current stone prison. It did answer quite a bit of questions stemming from an incident that happened 10 years ago. One which was entangled in the tragedy of the Joestar bloodline that started over a mere century ago. The blood feud between the Joestars and Dio Brando.
It begun when the Joestar Matriarch, George Joestar, had brought in an orphan boy after this boy's father passed. That boy was Dio Brando, a child whose immense hate turned him into the most vile and dangerous person in the history of mankind. Poisoning George Joestar, ruining the life of George's son Jonathan, becoming a vampire and then stealing Jonathan's body.
Those were some of the key facts amongst a lot of the vampiric bastard's sins. Jotaro then side eyed something at the far corner of the room, a picture frame whose photo was obscured by the distance. Sadness, and rage going through the ocean blue for a few seconds before fading. He turned his thoughts to something else.
"With the Arrow somewhere on the loose in Morioh, it won't be long until the town becomes a horror show. There's also that woman, Taki-Taki Bandicoot, I'll be keeping an eye on her. I don't trust her." His thoughts going back to his previous encounter with the greenette as he looked down on the table.
There were highly detailed sketches of her, Lani-Loli, Toxic and Quill, each marked with key details depending on the individual. The drawings were so accurate, it could be mistaken for a printout if it wasn't for the fact they were made using color pencils. Strangely there was one more sheet next to them but it was blank except for two simple words.
Crash Bandicoot.
"Come on Dad! We're supposed to see Josuke and his dickish nephew today!" The Wumpa Islands, a pair of three tropical islands found somewhere in the ocean near Australia. It was a home to all sorts of peculiar creatures, mystical areas hidden in every place wrought with all sorts of danger and full of mysterious magic. It was also where the infamous Bandicoot Clan made their residence.
N.Sanity Beach, which could be found on N.Sanity Island was a spot for the clan members to enjoy fun in the sun activities. A bunch of floaties with a tube one shaped like a purple dragon next to a volleyball net, a small bar set with seats for 5 and various drinks from non-alcoholic to a few different alcohol, a couch with a makeshift roof made from cloth, and strangely a fridge and TV on the sand.
Taki-Taki, currently by the couch, was trying to put a large hoodie on some... thing? Someone? It or he from the pronoun used stood around 4'7 in height, what wasn't obscured by the large jacket was a pair of blue jorts, red tennis shoes, orange fur covered legs and part of a orange furred lean stomach with yellow at the center. Distressed gibberish coming from the neck sleeve almost if the head was stuck.
Lani-Loli was merely watching the little show alongside another floating mask. This mask looked exactly like the small charm Taki-Taki had given Ryohei but larger with more details such as a goatee made of leaves, larger feathers that were funnily taped on the back, and was alive from the eyes and mouth both curved in a 'seriously?' look. There was no doubt that this particular mask was Aku-Aku.
With a strong tug, the hood finally came down over the large head of a...bandicoot. The almost cartoonish looking bandicoot had large ears, bright teal eyes with hints of innocent insanity, a brown mohawk of hair, a yellow muzzle and large brown bushy eyebrows. His hands were four fingered and covered by fingerless brown gloves.
"I don't know what's funnier: The fact two sane people are meeting Crash or about to learn that he's an actual bandicoot." Lani-Loli mischievously chuckled. Taki-Taki only said that Crash was her father but not about him being BIOLOGICAL. The greenette is actually adopted and the only human of a family consisting of bandicoots, living masks and other oddities.
"To be fair, she has been listening to my advice about being limited to her origins. Although from what I heard about your last encounter in Morioh, caution should still be advised. This is a whole new world we stumbled upon and there are rules to follow." Aku-Aku's deep, powerful and wise voice sent a clear message to everyone.
None of them had much knowledge about Stands but do know the consequences of their own powers, the mystical energy they wield known as Mojo. It was an ancient source of magic that not only fueled voodoo but all branches of sorcery. Something that could cause unimaginable damage if abused.
Mojo was what made Crash who he is, the powers that Lani-Loli and Aku-Aku have, and what Taki-Taki is learning to master but also the consequences if abused that made creatures like Quill and Toxic. Creatures with great power but have the potential to cause devastation if they run amok: Titans.
If that Stand granting Arrow is being constantly misused and what powers a Stand could potentially manifest, Morioh wasn't as safe as it should be. And there might be its own Titans lurking in the shadows. For now, their true nature needed to be limited whenever visiting the town lest the situation could become worse.
Who knows what kind of horror can manifest if Mojo mixed with a Stand?
The Higashitaka household was a bit offbeat nowadays. Due to the recent 'stroke' that the older matriarch had suffered, the aura of the home for the family of three was a bit rugged. Ryohei had been laid off of his work for a bit as both his employers and fellow officers were worried about the man's health. He was what kept the force happy and ready to go.
Thus he was stuck at home being looked over by his daughter Tomoko and grandson Josuke from time to time. Taki-Taki was currently standing by the door with her father Crash next to her. Her face was obscured by the large hood of his jacket. Lani-Loli and Aku-Aku were currently hidden in Taki's jacket so they wouldn't be seen.
She knocked on the door politely despite how loud it sounded. "Hold on!" A woman's voice fires back in an instant. In a few seconds, the door was opened by a young woman who both father and daughter could guess was Josuke's mother. Josuke definitely got his soft face and beauty from her but Ryohei's kindness was there too.
Her hair was violet and short, eyes a similar baby blue to Josuke but more fiery, she was slim though there definitely was some muscle hidden by her yellow shirt and dark jeans. "Hello! Are you Josuke's mom? He does have your looks and you do look a bit like Mr Ryohei." Her odd deduction had the purplette surprised for a moment.
Then hearing her father's name was enough to put two to two together. "You're right, I'm his mother Tomoko and Ryohei is my father. Are you by chance Taki-Taki Bandicoot? I heard about you from my dad and son. Dad was right about you being adorable. Whose this with you?" Her voice, although soft and kind, held a ferocity behind it. Josuke's fiery temper had to come from someone.
"This is my dad, Crash. Due to some unfortunate circumstances, I couldn't get home for a few days. Josuke let me stay here until I got back but under the condition that he had to talk about my stay with pops." Tomoko easily remembered her son mentioning that when she had gotten back home later that day.
Although she couldn't help but look at the figure that was Taki's father. There was not a single facial feature to make out due to the darkness of the large hoodie he wore but it was his hands that drew flags. Was the orange section part of the gloves and did he lose a finger in an accident? The hands were very odd and that orange part had a texture that looked more fur than leather or latex. Still...
"I'm sorry to say but Josuke had left for school today. Luckily he should be out by now. He attends Budo-ga Oka which isn't that far from Angelo's Rock, the new landmark which recently popped up." Taki-Taki immediately knew what she was talking about. It was near the place where that adorable turtle in the makeshift pond lived at. Shouldn't be too hard to find.
The Haunt House, an eerie landmark of sorts located near the recent Angelo's Rock. This large home could be recognized from the various broken windows that were either without glass or boarded up haphazardly, old paint that chipped away from even the gentlest of breezes and the vine covered gate with the tilted door marked by a 'No Trespassing' sign.
It was called the Haunt House from the feeling of being watched or the eyes of something watching in the shadows of the window whenever someone walks by. Police often patrolled the place for squatters due to these particular sightings and reports. Coming to the backyard strangely enough was the hoodie form of Crash Bandicoot.
From the glimpse of marsupial's green eyes and lack of companions, it was clear that he was lost. He let out a rumble of pure gibberish obviously annoyed. 'Maybe I should've stayed at that rock weirdo… Then again, Taki probably might not be happy to know I no longer have to go.' Crash let out an impish chuckle. Just because he was evolved doesn't mean he stopped 'marking his territory'.
'Dad, I need you to stay here with Angelo for me. If Josuke still isn't at school, then he'll most likely come through here to get home. It shouldn't take long for us to come back.' His daughter's words echoing in his head.
He felt a bit ashamed for not listening. It just he wasn't used to standing in one place for so long if it didn't involve napping. The bandicoot had a silly smile thinking about a nice snooze in his hammock after a nice slice of Wumpa Fruit pie. The little daydream was popped by the sound of soft skittering that hit his large furry ears.
Crash looked up before tilting his left ear towards the creepy house. The sound had to be somewhere in the upper levels from how it reverberated through the walls. Whatever made it was too big for an insect or small cat to do. Spying an open window with the least amount of boards, the bandicoot giggled to himself as an idea came. Little claws popped from the marsupial's fingers with a simple flex before he leapt onto the wall. Once the talons had a good grip, Crash climbed up the house wall and slipped in through the empty window pane.
"Motherfucker!" "Language!" Heterochromia eyes could only glare at the currently shivering stone convict. Taki had gone over to the school Tomoko mentioned after requesting her dad to stay put. Sadly, they couldn't find any sign of Josuke and looking for Jotaro was impossible without the pompadour prince's help. After visiting the little turtle in the pond, the greenette and her mask companions backtracked to the landmark.
Yet, her mutant bandicoot father was nowhere to be found and a foul smelling puddle was now present on the rock's lips. Normally something as gross as this got her laughing but at the moment the witch doctor was just annoyed. "Guess we were gone for a bit too long. Patience isn't something Crash normally has these days." Lani-Loli said while looking at the wet spot in distaste.
None of them should be surprised that the bandicoot would wander off somewhere. Luckily or disgustingly, there was a scent that could be used to find their lost marsupial. The witch doctor went into her jacket pocket to pull out a small vial that contained a soft luminous blue liquid. Taking off the small cork, Taki downed the tube's contents in a single gulp.
After placing the empty glass tube back in the pocket, the witch doctor then reached into the dinosaur skull she wore. Her hand pulled out a small peculiar object that was hidden in her bone headwear. It appeared to be a fang of some sort but was too thick, too large, and oddly too sharp to belong to any normal animal. Lani-Loli and Aku-Aku exchanged looks then quickly getting a few feet from Taki before she devoured the tooth with gusto.
In an instant, her eyes narrowed into slits and tattoos blazed to life in burning blue. She suddenly hunched down as if in pain followed by the sound of beastial snarling. The statue could only stare in perpetual terror upon the morphing shadow that started to cascade over him. Tears pouring from the frozen orbs from the sight of what could only be best described as a monster.
A distorted scraping noise ripped through the ominously quiet neighborhood before it was quickly followed by the sound of shattering pavement. This ruckus came from the front of Morioh's Haunt House for a battle was being waged at its steps. One of the fighters was Josuke whose uniform was dirtied up a bit along with a few scratches on his face. It was the least of his worries though.
Standing in an defensive position was another teenager around his age and size, a male Stand User from the bright fiery blue aura that flared his form. He had the look of a punk, shaved black hair that looked gray with a mini pompadour which sat at the mods, his eyes that seemed to only have impish pupils alongside a thin but large X-shaped scar or line pattern on his head.
The punk wore a modified blue gakuran with multiple gold pins shaped like money symbols on the fabric. "I won't say this again. Okuyasu Nijimura, you better let me through you bastard! Koichi isn't part of whatever bullshit your up to!" Josuke snarled at his opponent with hot daggers in his baby blue eyes.
The now named Okuyasu merely let out an impish chuckle before speaking with a rough and ruggish voice. "Sorry pal but you'll have to go through me first! Come closer and greet The Hand!" Almost on cue, a white hand with two bulbous baseball patterned protrusions on the palm came from behind the teen's head. The pomp prince quickly jumped to the side as the appendage swatted at his previous position instead, the 'No Trespassing' sign.
Alarms bells went through his head upon noticing the sign wasn't destroyed but it wasn't the same either. The text looked...too short almost if something was missing or had disappeared. It then clicked upon another glance of the item. "That sign! It used to say 'No Trespassing' but now it only says 'No passing'! Your Stand scraped the 'tres' away!"
Josuke's deductions caused his opponent's smile to grow malicious. The spectral arm next to the young man transitioning into something larger. In seconds that limb had fully materialized its true form, a white humanoid puppet outlined by blue armor bearing gold money symbols. The puppet shared a similar build to his master, its colorless hide sharing the same hardened texture of the armor, and his head was held in a white pail bucket that obscured part of its yellow lined eyes and the almost expressionless lips.
"That's right Josuke! My Stand can scrape away anything that it's right hand touches before closing the missing space together. I don't know where it goes or even if it still exists anymore but I do know you'll be sure to follow!" The Hand then scraped the air as a green tear rips right through the dimension. It immediately shuts closed in seconds as the purplette soon found his opponent in front of him at the same time.
He had used the created tear to close the distance between them. Okuyasu held his fist back almost about to speak when… the sound of whistling flew over their heads as a blast of glowing pink had sent Josuke's attacker airborne upon striking his Stand in the chest. The pompadour prince only had the time to blink before a pair of animalistic heterochromia eyes looked back at his.
What stood before had to be one of Taki-Taki's creatures, nothing could have been as odd or mystical like they strangely were. However this one felt off in a familiar sort of way. The creature looked like a bipedal almost anthropomorphic fox. It was monstrous with spindly long arms paired with black paws that held sharp claws, limber and lean build that was perfect for predatory stealth, the face was foxish but could be mistaken for a coyote or cougar from the longer ears and snout, and there were large purple parrot feathers on its back in a leafy plumage manner.
The off signs came from the tattoos around its arm that looked too much like Taki-Taki's, the greenish short hair on its head and the dinosaur skull… It immediately clicked on what or who had just defended his bacon. "Holy shit. Taki-Taki, is that you?" His query being answered upon a large prickly tongue licking his face courteous of the 9 ft beast that once was a human girl.
Josuke's face turned beet red and he honestly couldn't say if it was in disgust, embarrassment or touched by the sticky dog kiss. "Josuke?!" He whipped his head to see Lani-Loli flying over to the two but immediately stopped from the sound of hyena/wolf growling. Eyes were on the now standing Okuyasu who then looked flabbergasted by the new faces.
"What the hell?! Is one of those things that scrawny munchkin's Stand?! Or some sort of monster? No matter, The Hand will scrape you all out of existence!" His Stand manifesting once more with the right hand ready to erase even more space. Sadly, he didn't anticipate what particular creature the greenette was.
Letting out a loud hyena-like cackle Taki threw a large but fast pink orb of energy straight from her hand. It was a glowing magenta torpedo that clipped through the side of the Stand's right wrist in seconds. Okuyasu howled in pain from a chunk of his right wrist exploding outward almost if his body was mirroring the Hand's injury.
"The Snipe, a predatory beast that hunts its targets with high speed projectiles and is a close range fighter's worse nightmare!" Lani-Loli spoke while watching the green haired beast pounce at the off guard teen. Her feet instantly knocked the air out of Okuyasu's chest which forced his Stand to vanish from the lack of breath. He could only look up at the large drooling teeth of the angry beast that currently had him pinned down in fear.
His eyes quickly shut almost if waiting for the end only to scrunch his face in confusion by a soft touch. With a small peek, the young man was greeted to the sight of the large monster's forehead gently pressed against his own. A strange sensation going through his mind in a second before it- no she looked back at him with sympathy.
Taki then looked over to Josuke and Lani-Loli before the feathers on her back started glowing in strange patterns. The purplette was confused by the odd signals but the Quantum Mask knew what it meant. It was a sign of Morse Code Taki had developed for this form. "Josuke! Heal him, this guy isn't your enemy! Apparently he has a reasonable story behind this attack! Something involving his father!"
Lani-Loli's words made Okuyasu's eyes widen in realization. "You...went through my head? You saw the 'thing'." That last word practically quivered in silent despair and sorrow. Taki merely nodded her head before getting off the teenager. She quickly stalked towards the Haunt House. The harsh stench of blood hit her nose full force which turned a small crawl into an urgent run.
Her predatory eyes immediately ignored the man in the darkness for the childlike teenager that was slowly dying on the ground. He had short well groomed silver hair, light almost pasty skin and wore a plain green gakuran but his blue eyes were slowly becoming lifeless from the nasty arrow wound in his neck. Taki knew he would die if he wasn't treated.
"How curious. You the child's Stand or perhaps belong to-" The female Snipe growled before nonchalantly tossing a blast of pink at the unwanted pest. The man must've scurried out of the way from the sound of wood exploding to chips. Knowing there wasn't going to be an interruption, Taki reached for one of her feathers and plucked it off her back.
Holding the item in hand, she let out growls that sounded close to a chant as the piece of parrot plumage began to glow a soothing green. Taki crushed the feather in her hand as it broke into verdant stardust before pouring the powder over the large gouge on the boy's neck. The large wound immediately glowed a vibrant emerald as it steadily shrank. In seconds, the large gash was gone and the young man's eyes regained its vivid color once his breathing had steadied.
He blinked once more before blue eyes settled on the large beast hovering above him. A normal reaction to the sight was to scream but instead he felt his neck and noticed that his injuries were completely gone. Taki definitely knew he was a calculative and reasonable type since he put two to two together. "You...saved me." Despite the youth in his voice, the slight baritone was enough to solidify that this was a teenager and not a child.
"Koichi!" Josuke bursted into the house alongside Lani-Loli and oddly a determined Okuyasu who was following from behind. The punk looking teen no longer had any rips on his clothing or flesh, almost if everything was returned to their previous state. "Big brother, you need to stop right now! These guys can help us! Help d-" He was cut off when Taki quickly got in front of him.
Multiple tiny holes manifesting on her hide and feather plumage as if she was hit with bullet rounds from a tiny minigun. The puncture wounds weren't deep enough to draw blood since she wasn't human at the moment but… they had enough strength to disfigure a normal person like blood swiss cheese.
Taki snarled at the attackers, no, attacker to be precise. The ones to fire the barrage of nasty tiny bullets was an entire shooting squadron that consisted of toy army sized men. Same military clothing but the faces covered in white taping, eyes just beady red headlights and a thick flame of blue around them.
When the witch doctor like this, the number of magic she could use was limited but made difficult spells like mind reading or healing very easy. Okuyasu's memories told her what exactly she was dealing with. The platinum blonde teenager slightly older than Okuyasu, his older brother Keicho and his Stand, a mini army known as Bad Company.
"Big brother…" Was all the younger brother could say upon realization that the attack was aimed for him. Taki gave the three human males behind her a look. 'He's mine.' None of them said a word of disagreement. Knowing what was about to happen, Lani-Loli took it upon himself to get Josuke and his two accomplices away from the approaching battle.
The three humans and mask vanished in a sudden puff of wispy blue smoke. Taki-Taki's sharp nose told her that her friend had taken them to the higher floors of the house. A safe place which made the monstrous witch doctor happy for they wouldn't get caught in the crossfire. She then turned her head to snarl viciously at Okuyasu's older brother.
"I can only guess that little mask has the power to teleport others. No matter, it won't take long for my Bad Company to find them once I finish you off. Then your friends will be next." Keicho's threat was backed further when a swarm of mini helicopters manifested in the air. "Fire!"
The Snipe quickly sprinted into a run as the mini army fired their payloads in the form of raining bullets and mini missiles. Wood chips, glass shards, and furniture stuffing erupted in a trail that hounded the quick Taki-Taki, avoiding the deadly miniature ammunition with impressive. She leapt onto the ceiling fan and flung herself into the air whilst throwing another blast of pink energy from her claws.
A large chunk of soldiers and a few helicopters exploded into magenta tinted flames from a successful hit. However, their owner didn't seem to suffer any sign of damage despite the destruction of his soldiers. "Sorry but my Bad Company is a remote Stand. Destroy all the soldiers you want, you can't harm me!" Keicho's words caused even more miniature men to manifest but these ones were operating tanks now!
Taki knew she couldn't fight here with so many weapons aimed at her hide. She would run out of steam before her opponent did. An idea then clicked into Taki's skull which propelled her to make a quick turn. She tossed a few more explosive shots at the tiny army as she ran. Every bullet was a bullseye as even more of Bad Company's soldiers went up in magenta smoke.
Her opponent quickly caught onto what the larger puffs of smoke that slowly filled the room were. "A smokescreen?!" Eyes looking to find the obscured beastie that ran up the stairs and he quickly glared. "After it!" Multiple tiny helicopters manifested to hound their fleeing target as the blonde followed in pursuit.
On the top floor of the Haunt House, Josuke was currently glaring daggers at a certain blue mask. The sounds of an explosive scuffle happening under his feet and a set of blue spectral chains that kept the door of their current location shut. "Lani-Loli, let us out!"
Despite the pompadour prince's demand, the Quantum Mask only shook his head in nervous defiance. "N-no way! You'll be either swiss cheese from gunfire or human flambe by blasts of Mojo! It's suicide!" Lani-Loli fired back with force despite his slight stutter. Of course, the mask flinched when Crazy Diamond manifested with a snarl on his face.
The only ones not getting involved in the potential scuffle was Okuyasu and Koichi who sat on the bed at the opposite side of the room. In the silver haired teen's hands was a yellowish pale egg with green stripes but also radiated a faint verdant aura. A Stand or Stand Egg that had manifested from Koichi's throat once getting into the room.
"I don't care if Taki can become one of those beasts like Quill or Toxic. She needs backup if her opponent's an army!" The large armored Stand clenched his fists as if ready to let loose a punch any second. "That's enough!" An aged voice immediately had the three teens raise their guard to the point even Okuyasu's The Hand manifested next to his master.
Coming through one of the half sealed windows was Aku-Aku whose appearance made whatever fight in either Josuke or Crazy Diamond vanish. "Aku! Where were you?! First Crash went puff then you go awol on us!" Lani-Loli was quickly hushed by a single look from his companion. Glowing yellow eyes then looked at the other members of the room.
"I had a feeling you were in quite a pickle so I went to find Crash first. He's somewhere in the house on the top floor waiting for you. As for Taki-Taki, her opponent is about to walk right into her 'tripwire'." Aku spoke as his gaze fixated on Josuke and his stand. The pompadour youth speaking up in confusion. "Tripwire?"
The tiki-esqe mask nodded in response at the inquiry. "Correct. Snipes are powerful long range fighters especially in confined spaces like this. Their biggest advantage isn't their ability to blast opponents with magic." A smirk then crossed Aku-Aku's face as if knowing the outcome of the ongoing battle.
Taki-Taki continued her trek up the house as Keicho and his forces relentlessly pursued the female. Every time a soldier or copter was in sight, the greenette blasted it with a pink energy shot before she took the chance to flee further. Her running however came to a halt once she reached a mostly clean room. Not a single shred of furniture or anything to hide the witch doctor's large form in sight.
"Got you now." Keicho's voice echoed through the room for hundreds of small soldiers filled it in seconds. Tanks slipping in from the vents, helicopters pouring from the open windows, armored humvees riding up from the stair railing and their owner walking in from the staircase. Taki-Taki wasn't to blind to the fact she was boxed in.
"I'll admit you're quite the fast runner and a nasty sniper. Sadly, this is the worst place for something as large as you. However, my Bad Company can thrive throughout our home base. I suggest you be a good beast and stay down." The older teen deviously chuckled as he stared down at the beast. His laughter quickly died in seconds when he noticed Taki-Taki was now smiling. A smile that revealed razor sharp fangs in a cunningly vicious way.
"It's the ability to set traps is what makes the Snipe a very dangerous Titan to fight."
Bits of pink began to lit up in sections of the room. Her opponent's eyes flickering to the source before they expanded in pure horror. Each light was coming from one of his soldiers in every group. Not even the quadcopters, tanks or humvees were unaffected. The horrifying part was the lights were blinking and were becoming faster per a second. 'Checkmate.'
The house shook hard as a loud explosion ripped throughout one of the floors, smoke tainted with hints of sparkling pink came pouring from the broken windows. In the large mist, the sound of coughing growls turned into pained ones as the large beast obscured shrunk in the purple haze. The remainder of the colorful screen filtered out as the now human Taki-Taki looked down at her fallen opponent.
Keicho was unconscious, bruises and burns covering his face and arms, platinum locks singed slightly black while billowing bits of smoke poured from the strands of hair and his uniform was charred with multiple holes through it. "The Phantom Bomber, a nice Snipe technique which lets undetectable bombs get planted on the enemy. The more collected in one spot, the bigger the boom." She walked over and hoisted the teen on her shoulders without a hint of strain.
Climbing up the stairs, the greenette could hear the voices of her friends from above. With some pep in her step, Taki ran up the stretch of stairs as the unconscious Nijimura brother shook and bounced. It didn't take long for heterochromatic eyes to stare back at a pair of baby blue. Everyone but her father was gathered outside of one specific door.
That door having the sound of familiar babble from behind its wooden threshold. "Taki-Taki! You're okay?!" Josuke looked ready to hug her if he didn't catch sight of Okuyasu's injured brother slung over the greenette's shoulder. "Big brother!" The teen quickly rushed over to his sibling. "Don't worry. He's alright albeit beaten up. Plus, his ego needed a nice kick so common sense can walk back in." The witch doctor chuckled, smiling with her tongue out.
Before anyone could go through the door, a particular situation needed to be handled first. A soft gold aura from Crazy Diamond enveloped the wounded platinum blonde in its soothing embrace. Wounds and damages done to both flesh and clothing vanished in seconds as the teen slowly woke up.
Keicho looked at all the faces surrounding him before he settled to glare at the woman who was the large beast from earlier. "You're lucky I'm a merciful person and you care about your family more than you let on. So, how long has your dad been cursed?" Taki-Taki's words surprised everyone but Lani-Loli, Aku-Aku and Okuyasu for obvious reasons.
There was a reason why the Nijimura brothers, well mainly Keicho, were using the Stand Arrow to create Stand Users. It was for the sake of their father. From Okuyasu's memories, their father had gotten into 'bad' connections with Dio. A deal of sorts that had more consequences than the man had thought. Upon Dio's death, bits of the vampire's flesh that were implanted in their dad had triggered a transformation of sorts.
A being unable to speak and unable to die that skittered through the halls of their home like a mouse for years. "Are you capable of giving him his eternal rest? We've been searching for someone that could extinguish that mindless 'thing' who used to be our father." His plea shook with pure desperate hope and sincere sorrow.
Reasonable for spending years in a house with a monster that was once your father, especially one mistaken for being mindless. "Have you noticed something odd about your home right now?" The question from the witch doctor was enough to widen the eyes of both brothers. It was the lack of skittering from something large that constantly moved through the house.
"Your father isn't mindless or gone. He's still there." Taki-Taki then opened the door to the room. Everyone was greeted to the appearance of a particular marsupial talking to an odd kappa-like creature. The being had thick green skin, slightly deformed from the lumps on his body such as the head or fingers, what appeared to be a beak for a mouth and wore worn clothes such as a white shirt and black shorts.
This had to be the Nijimura brothers' cursed father but what was strange is that he was showing a hoodless Crash something. An old photograph from the slight yellow coloration that showed a man and two very familiar young children smiling at the camera. The two were conversing in unintelligible babble but both clearly understood the other.
"That's our old family photo… He was searching for the photo of what he used to be…" The fact from Okuyasu's lips was enough to paint the picture for them. Despite the vast deformity, their father still remembered them, of their family before it all went to hell. The other oddity in the room finally hit everyone unaware of it.
"What's with the giant animal? It looks like an eastern barred bandicoot...if it was a living mascot costume." Koichi's question was paired with him pointing at the large marsupial. "Seriously dad? If you want to make friends then tell us instead of going into some rando's house after peeing on a town landmark."
The comical looks of eyeballs about to pop out from their sockets and jaws dropping to the floor made the greenette wish that she brought a camera seeing everyone's face. It was even funnier that the pompadour prince's hair looked ready to pop from the intensity of his utter shock. Surprisingly, Josuke was the first to get his speech back.
"T-that's your dad?! H-h-how?!" Now that done it for the greenette began laughing upon the purplette's insinuation. "Hahahaha! I'm adopted silly. Crash raised me ever since I was a baby that got washed ashore on his island. He may be a 'mentally challenged' wacky bandicoot but he's still my dad!"
The marsupial walked over and hugged Taki-Taki before placing a hand on her back. His pose and chest puffed up proudly practically screamed 'Yep, that's my daughter.' Strangely enough, it did make some sense about the young woman's oddness. Both Taki-Taki and Crash carried that same energetic weirdness to them.
"Aw. Such a sweet moment. Sweet enough to make me puke!" An unrecognizable male voice immediately had eyes facing the front. Part of the wall was charged with frantic electricity as if something was inside the wiring. It was easy to tell it was bad news from Keicho's sudden grimace.
One of the power outlets immediately exploded outward in large yellow bolts of electricity. The malevolent energy crackling as it began to form into a near physical entity. This new form resembled a bright yellow kappa from the beak and near egg shaped dish on its head with a long spindly lizard tail, thin almost featureless body and sparks of electricity crackling from its skin.
However it was the items it had that drew up red flags for everyone. In this being's clawed fingers was an ancient bow and arrow. The same ones no doubt capable of granting someone a Stand. "Oh no! Is that the Bow and Arrow, the one you guys have been talking about!?" Lani-Loli's cry made the electrifying entity smile maliciously.
"Guess who's Stand has fully awakened Nijimura? I honestly thought nothing would get you to drop your guard of the Arrow but I guess that chick and her friends was just enough! It was almost easy to snatch it with my Red Hot Chili Pepper's power!" The platinum blonde could only growl at his careless mistake. He was too caught up in his pursuit of powerful Stand Users to realize this kind of outcome.
"Do you really think your capable of wielding the Arrow's power? Your Stand has only just awakened after all! There's no way you can wield it properly!" Keicho hissed while the blue aura of his Stand began to flare up. The enemy Stand or Red Hot Chili Pepper merely laughed before aiming his glare on the blond.
"So naive. My Stand's powers had grown while you were busy. After all, you did say those with a powerful fighting spirit can manifest equally powerful Stands. Here let me show you!" It was quick as a bolt of lightning. One second Chili Pepper was at the socket and the next he was about to punch Keicho's chest. Only if a spin of orange didn't jump in front of the Red Hot Chili Peppers' range.
The Stand merely continued its charge only to cry out in shock when a twirling fist hit his face alongside a glare that were both from Crash Bandicoot. Chili Pepper was smacked back inside the electrical socket from the marsupial's Tornado Spin technique as Crash stood protectively in front of the older Nijimura Brother.
"Lani-Loli!" Aku-Aku's cry wasn't missed as the two masks quickly went into action. Both of them focused a bit of their magic that was quickly released in the form of a violent bluish stream. The shot struck the power outlet as the yellow electricity that threatened to return was shoved back inside the wiring so hard that the sockets literally exploded.
A scream of 'You'll pay for this!' followed until the leftover sparks crackled into nothing. "You saved my life… Why? Why help your enemy?!" Keicho questioned whilst staring at the orange bandicoot. Crash mere made a bunch of hand signals before smiling with a thumbs up. It was sign language.
"He said 'No family should mourn for a death that could be avoided.' Sure you tried to kill me, shot Koichi, created an army of Stand Users and tried to shoot your brother's face but you were only being a big jackass so your family didn't have to suffer. Your lives are already messed up as it is, you don't need it to become even worse."
The older teen who didn't expect the response widened his eyes before he subtly began to chuckle. "You all are insane." The sentence only made a stupid grin pop on the father and daughter duo's face. Everyone's attention was soon back on the blown power outlet.
"I fear that this situation has escalated into unimaginable levels. Creating a cure to the Nijimura matriarch shouldn't be difficult for me to find. However, that Bow and Arrow needs to be recovered as soon as possible. I could only fear what kind of horrors it could create in the hands of that fiend." Aku-Aku's warning wasn't lost on anyone.
Things were only to get more dangerous from now on.
I hope this was much better than my original script! There will be changes to some of Part 4's plot mainly that some deaths will be averted like Ryohei's and Keicho's. I honestly felt it was a dick to kill Keicho instead of using the chance to give him some character.
Taki-Taki's Beast Out ability has made an appearance. This lets her transform into any non-human creature whether it is a familiar or by consuming particular materials with a special potion. Kinda like N Brio's potions but more refined. Her magic is mostly restricted along with speech for particular Titans but she gets access to two powerful spells that can be set on a specific form. Her Snipe form having Mind Read and Advanced Healing Magic.
Crash deflecting an electric Stand like Red Hot Chili Pepper isn't so farfetched if you take the Cortex battle in the first Crash game. He's also more of a forgiving person when you take into consideration his interactions with Cortex in both Twinsanity but also some flashback tapes I heard about in Crash 4.
And Jotaro having trust issues is normal considering how many bad encounters he had with Stand Users especially in Part 3.
Until next time folks! Enjoy this Crash Bandicoot 4 Rap by JT Machinima.

Day 6 : Date Night // Daaku
Dazai takes Akutagawa out to the museum.
@bsd-rarepair-valentines-week
(Me, shoving my headcanons in your face: Aku is an art lover and I’ll die on that hill)
(Also the few art facts are probably a bit skewed, so don’t hesitate to correct me.)
“You’re here early."
It was just midnight, and Akutagawa sat on the steps in front of the museum, letting his coat cloak him in the dark. Of course, it didn’t hide him from Dazai. He was expecting him.
“You didn’t wait too long, did you?”
“No.” He had arrived almost a hour in advance. He stood, and Dazai approached, a spring in his steps.
“Good!”
“What are we doing here?”
A mischievous smile. “Can’t you guess?”
Akutagawa frowned, thinking. He still didn’t know why Dazai had called him here, in the middle of the night. He had at first assumed it was for a mission, but Nakajima Atsushi shone in his absence, so it couldn’t be what Dazai intended to happen.
He didn’t know what else the man could possibly want with him.
His silence seemed to be enough of an answer, because Dazai grinned and turned towards the museum behind them. “Simply put, Akutagawa-kun,” he declared, “I’m taking you to the museum.”
Akutagawa stilled. “Excuse me?”
“Why else would I ask you to meet me here?”
“You want to…” He paused, bewildered. “…to take me to the museum?” Dazai hummed approvingly. “Why?”
“Why not? You like museums, don’t you?”
He did, yes. But he had never told Dazai that, and he doubted the man ever noticed. “How do you know?”
“I asked around.” He motioned to the museum with his hand, and went on, stopping Akutagawa from commenting on the vague answer. “Are you coming?”
“Dazai-san, it’s midnight. Its closed.”
“I know!” He pushed the front door, and it opened with barely a sound. “That’s what makes it fun, isn’t it?”
Narrowing his eyes, Akutagawa followed. “I didn’t think detectives were allowed breaking and entering.”
“Is it really breaking and entering if the door isn’t locked?” The door closed behind them, and they were left in the dark.
Akutagawa had been to the Yokohama Museum of Arts before. He’s walked through those corridors many times in the past few years, ever since Kouyou brought Gin and him here for the very first time when he was 14.
But he’d never been inside at night.
Their footsteps echoed in the lobby, and they passed the front desk without anyone stopping them. The museum was empty, save from the two of them.
And a little cold, but he could live with that.
“What do you want to start with?”
Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad, even with Dazai here. “Western collection,” he declared, finding his way to the right wing with ease.
It was as dark as the entrance, but soft lights shone from behind the paintings, meaning they could still see them.
“I don’t know anything about art,” Dazai went on, stopping right beside him to look at the first painting. His voice made him sound like he was preparing something. “What’s this one?”
“Salvador Dalí,” Akutagawa answered curtly. Dazai hmm-ed again. “What?”
“Well? What about this Doli man?”
“Dalí.” He scoffed. “Spanish painter, from the surrealist movement. This one is an untitled work dating 1942, a mural design, for a woman called Helena Rubinstein. There are two others like this one, on exhibit here as well.” He gestured to two other artworks. “Not his most famous works, however. The Persistence of Memory, for example, is in New York, while The Great Masturbator—” He pointedly ignore Dazai’s snort. “— is in Spain.”
When Dazai nodded, they moved on to the next work. They went through the Western collection to the Japanese artists, Akutagawa telling him a few facts about each artwork stopped in front of.
Dazai almost didn’t speak, only occasionally prompting Akutagawa to go on — and Akutagawa found that he didn’t mind.
He liked talking about art, especially when someone was listening. And Dazai still seemed actually interested.
It was weird.
“This one,” he went on, showing a three parts artwork, “is Fujiwara Yasumasa Playing the Flute in the Moonlight, by Tsukioka Yoshitoshi. Dates back 1883. A depiction of—” He trailed off. He had an easier time to talk about this with Dazai around, now that he’d been doing it for over an hour, but Dazai staring at him was throwing him off. Everything Dazai did tonight was throwing him off. “It’s—” He paused. “Dazai-san, may I ask a question?”
“Sure!” He leaned against him, one of his hands resting on his back. Akutagawa scooted away a bit. “Unless it’s one I have already answered.”
“Why are you making me speak?” When Dazai looked at him blankly, he elaborated. “You have never liked me speaking too much before, but now you want me to keep talking.”
“Oh, you noticed? You are more observant than you—” Akutagawa glared at him. “Fine, fine, I’m caught.”
“So?”
He shrugged, turning back to look at the painting, hands on his hips. “I figured you would be more pleasant to be around if you talked about something you liked.”
Akutagawa’s stomach dropped, twisting in embarrassment.
This man still had enough power over him to easily make him feel like a child.
“Nothing forces you to spend time with me if you would rather not to.” He kept his face carefully void of emotion, trying not to let his hurt and annoyance show.
“What?” Dazai swung back on his heals to face him again. His mouth made a silent “oooh”, before he shook his head and laughed. “This wasn’t supposed to sound like that. I just wanted that grumpy face of yours to soften up a little.” He pouted. “But if you insist on thinking there is a secret agenda behind our date night—”
“Date?” When had all this become a date? Hadn’t Dazai thought to inform him before making it a date?
“What else did you think it was?”
“I don’t know,” he snapped, feeling the frustration build up. “I never know what to expect from you or—” he took in a deep breath. “Or what you have to gain from me talking your ears off about art.”
“Do I need to have something to gain from spending time with you? Why can’t I just like hanging out with you?”
He had just said he was unpleasant to be around — not that Akutagawa didn’t know he wasn’t exactly the best company to keep. Still, his scowl deepened — he didn’t get it. He didn’t think he would ever understand Dazai.
Before he could answer out loud, light flooded in the area. “Hey! What are you doing here?!”
“Security!” Dazai grabbed his hand and pulled him into a run.
“I thought you took care of it!”
“I never said anything about that!”
“The door was open! You don’t take care of the security before breaking into a building?”
“I forgot!”
“You—”
“Come back here, you two!”
Dazai dragged him into another corridor, and they took a few more turns, bringing them back the museum lobby. They jumped over the reception counter and Dazai shoved the both of them under the desk.
They held their breath as the security guard ran past them. He said something into his communicator, but did not see them, leaving the both of them uncaught.
“Well, that was close.”
Akutagawa nodded. He could feel Dazai's breath near him, and got a noseful of the perfume he was wearing — a nice perfume, he noted.
“To answer your question,” Dazai whispered, close to his ear, “I do, actually, have a secret agenda.” He raised his hand, thumb brushing against his lips. “What would you say if I told you it involved kissing you senseless and seducing you out of the mafia?”
Akutagawa had half a mind to bite him.
“I would say you have lost your mind.”
There was no need to seduce him out of anything. He was a lost cause, he always knew it, and never had any concerns in that regard. He was the Mafia’s attack dog, through and through.
And yet here he was, stuck in a small space with a traitor, with whom he was on a museum date.
He tried to stand up, but Dazai’s hand grabbed the back of his neck and tugged him down again.
“And you’d probably be right.” He dragged him further down, lips catching his, and Akutagawa’s breath caught in his throat.
It was messy and awkward, with Dazai’s teeth scraping at his, their noses bumping, their hiding place too small for it to be comfortable.
And the only thing Akutagawa could do — wanted to do — was to welcome it and get drunk on the warmth Dazai Osamu, of all people, was giving him.
When he let go, Dazai grinned. “You’d be right,” he said again, “but that was part of my plan for tonight, so I think I have a decent chance at the seducing idea.”
Akutagawa refused to answer. Maybe because if he talked, he would just say he would like to see him try, and Dazai would see it as a challenge more than an attempt to deter him.
Maybe Akutagawa himself would mean it as an encouragement.
Pulling himself over the counter, he made sure no guard was around. “The way is clear.”
They sneaked out the same way they sneaked in, by the front door. It was still unlocked, so they simply closed it behind them. As they left, they started hearing sirens, and they broke into another run. If the museum security had called the police, they would rather not be too close when they arrived.
It was only when they were far away from the museum that they came to a halt.
Once they were sure they hadn’t been chased, they started walking again, looking for a more crowded area. Dazai stretched his arms above his head. “That was fun! Let’s do it again, some time!” He tapped his chin with his finger. “What about the Cultural History Museum?”
Akutagawa knew this one very well. He had gone countless of time and could probably give someone the whole guided visit from memory alone.
“Same day, same time, next week?” Dazai offered.
He gave Dazai a jerky nod.
“That’s what I thought.” Dazai sent him a thin, knowing smile. “Let’s see how crazy I really am, uh?”
"I’ll go home now.”
“You do you.” He waved as Akutagawa turned back to leave and called out: “See you next week!”

Chapter 20: Headphones
this is cross posted on Ao3 (my username is causemufins)
Angel Rock is wreaking havoc on the school, and Chat Noir is nowhere to be seen.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Abelle rushed back to the fight, top in hand. The moment she saw the akuma the weapon was thrown and managed to wrap around the hand of Angel Rock reaching for her headphones. “Hey, hands off the headphones!”
Ladybug sent a grateful look as Chat hadn’t appeared quite yet. Angel, on the other hand, looked furious. Quickly, she used her other hand to send a sound burst at Abelle, but nothing happened as she made contact with her headphones.
That helped confirm Chloé’s theory since the hand currently tied up with her top was the same one wearing the bracelet. “Ladybug, the aku-“
She was unable to finish as Angel Rock twisted her hand to grab the string and then yank on it. Abelle internally scolded herself for not paying attention as she was pulled towards the akuma as she made contact with her headphones and another sonic blast hit.
Because of suddenly being pulled forward then blasted back, Abelle lost grip of the top, meaning she was now weaponless. It also didn’t help to be slammed into a wall. Fortunately because of the magic from being transformed, it wasn’t bad. Still, she was glad it hadn’t left her winded.
Angel Rock still had the top tangled around her hand, but it wasn’t impeding her too much so it was ignored. Still, since Ladybug has seen what happened, she threw her yo-yo, having it wrap around the same hand before she yanked it. The akuma wasn’t prepared and fell to the ground.
Abelle quickly jumped up and ran back over to untangle her top before Angel Rock could get back up. Unfortunately, she hadn’t quite gotten it loose when the akuma realized what was going on and got back up to stop her. But she had managed to mostly untangle it, so with a quick tug the rest of the string came away and the top finally returned to Abelle.
Quickly, the top was thrown again, wrapping around Angel Rock’s other arm. “Now all we need is that cat. Where is he?”
“I don’t know.” Ladybug said, making sure to pull on her yo-yo, the two weapons keeping the akuma in place from pulling in opposite directions.
“Figures, he never seems to take this seriously. I-” Abelle stopped talking as she saw something black floating a few feet behind Ladybug. “We need your Lucky Charm.”
“What?” Ladybug asked, caught off guard. “We just need to wait-”
“Come on, trust me. Besides I need to untie them too.”
Reluctantly, Ladybug nodded and at the same time they pulled their weapons away. Abelle ran towards Angel Rock and jumped onto the akuma before using her as a springboard. It was enough that she went over Ladybug as she ducked slightly.
Behind Abelle, she could hear a lucky charm being called followed by a ‘What the hell?!’ Abelle mostly ignored it as she grabbed the black kwami, who was currently holding a ring. “You’re Chat Noir’s kwami, right? Where is he?”
“He was nearby when the akuma first attacked. It caused some of the outer building to break and he’s trapped under some rubble outside. It also managed to knock the ring loose. I can phase through all the rocks and stuff, but the ring can’t.” Plagg gave the gist of what happened to Abelle, not caring that some of it was a lie.
The bee hero cursed under her breath, then waved over Ladybug, who was currently holding her lucky charm. Quickly the two of them hid in a classroom to regroup, and while Angel Rock didn’t follow them, Abelle still didn’t like the thought of them doing more damage.
“Please tell me you have a plan.” Ladybug said to Abelle, worrying the bee hero. “I can’t figure out anything with my Lucky Charm.”
Abelle swore again, and before she could say anything else, Plagg floated into Ladybug’s view. “Maybe it’s about me?”
“No no no no! You being here makes things worse!” Ladybug started panicking. “Where’s Chat Noir?”
“He’s trapped in some rubble. I can’t get the ring to him. Couldn’t… get the ring to him.”
Abelle didn’t like the tone of his voice that time. “What do you mean?” But Plagg didn’t answer.
It was quiet until Ladybug spoke up. “We need to find Adrien.” Abelle was about to speak when the other heroine turned the lucky charm around. At first it just looked like an oval of ladybug patterned paper, but the other side showed Adrien Agreste’s face.
“We can’t.” Plagg spoke. He couldn’t directly state that he was Chat Noir, but he could say more of the truth. “That kid? I saw him. The… first piece of rubble fell right above him. Chat Noir tried to stop it, but he wasn’t fast enough.” He hadn’t gotten the words out in time. “It came down right on his head.”
The two heroes were silent. Ladybug started crying a bit as Abelle fought back her own tears, slowly failing. This wasn’t the first time anyone had died because of an akuma attack. And it wasn’t the first time it had been someone they knew. Ladybug had seen Chat die more than once. But it had always been magical in nature. It was different this time because it was something more physical. Something that could happen outside an akuma attack.
And part of Ladybug worried. Sure, attacks had caused destruction before and people had recovered from it because of her cure. But deep down, she still worried. What if it didn’t happen this time. What if Adrien was gone. What if Chat was gone. What if anyone else stuck there was gone forever.
“Abelle, go outside and free people from rubble as much as you can. Plagg, come with me. I know where to take you.”
Abelle tried to ask Ladybug something, but was stopped. She was really worried now as the tears had stopped coming from the other heroine. She couldn’t tell if Ladybug was repressing her emotions, or just it was too much that she didn’t feel anything right now. Abelle quickly gave Plagg a worried look before leaving the classroom.
She immediately went to the people trapped under the fence from earlier. Since it wasn’t stone, the students were mostly fine. One had trouble walking, but another student quickly helped him walk off.
Nearby there was a small pile of rubble which someone else had an arm pinned under. She started to go towards it when Angel Rock landed in front of her. “I know you know where Alya is. So why don’t you take me to her?”
The bee froze. She didn’t actually know where Alya had gone. She just quickly glanced at the trapped student. Fortunately, someone else came to free them. “Oh, I suppose you don’t actually. Too bad.” And then a blast of music was sent at Abelle.
It consisted of some horn music and chimes, which actually caught the heroine’s attention. The music was different than before. She could obviously play the same music more than once. But maybe it meant something?
Quickly Abelle grabbed her top and jumped out of the attack. “Venom!” she yelled before running at Angel Rock and stabbing them. The akuma froze and she pulled the akuma’s hand away from the headphones.
Briefly, Abelle considered grabbing the bracelet too, but since she didn’t know where Ladybug was, she didn’t want to risk the butterfly getting away. Quickly she ran outside and detransformed. Because of the eroding school, no one was nearby. Pollen flew into her bag to wolf down a few jelly beans. Chloé looked around and noticed the large pile of rubble right near the entrance to the building. That had to be it.
Pollen came back out and Chloé changed back into Abelle, immediately racing to the rubble. She was glad for the extra strength from the transformation as she managed to lift the rocks and slowly unbury the people trapped underneath. She removed one and saw a familiar black shirt with three different colored stripes.
Abelle froze, just staring at him. His chest wasn’t moving. He really was… she stopped thinking about that, about to grab another rock when someone spoke behind her. “I never said you could leave. And I’m not a fan of you leaving me back there.”
💎💎💎 ( All Hanryou and Solar Wind verses plz )
Send "💎💎💎" and My Muse will say three things that comes to their mind when Your Muse's name is mentioned || @sonxflight || accepting
Hanryou: historical verses (canon, half-demon, samurai, ronin, etc.)
Protean: Akin to Proteus, possessing the gift of prophecy but didn't like to share his knowledge. Proteus would escape those who wanted to question him by changing his shape. The only way to get a straight answer from him was to sneak up behind him during his midday nap and hold onto him (while he frantically changed from shape to shape) until he eventually revealed what he knew. The adjective "protean" describes anyone or anything that is as mutable and adaptable as the mythological shepherd.
Soft: The reason why Hanzo loves Jack/Ryou is because of their dualistic dichotomy they seem to share in their temperaments. The softness in his beloved’s voice. The kindness in his heart. The experience in his wounds. The magic that dances in their coalescing, entwined soul when Hanzo never forgets that Ryou is one of the intrinsic reasons for his fire.
Empathetic: They both are sensitive and honest-minded men, and Ryou is so concerned about evil and injustice in the world, understand the depths of Hanzo’s suffering and torment will naturally begin his campaign against them by eliminating them at their nearest source: his own person. This task will take his entire life.
Hanryou: modern verse
Sassy: Who doesn't put him down in a disrespectful way but rather a cheeky way, sassy people are only mean when taken to far or annoyed, so Hanzo knows not to piss off a sassy person such as Ryou, especially when they are being argumentative.
Self-sacrificial: They both are in a way, for their professionalism and work ethics are altruistic in a matter that they are made to sacrifice of their own desires, interest, etc, for the sake of duty or for the well-being of others. Their pasts haunt them in a vicious cycle, but they are the ones who believe that by serving the society and the world at large, they can do good against darkness and evil.
Anchor (Pillar): Hanzo’s mostly a ball of anger, he has to live with the repressed burning anger sitting in his belly like a perpetual ache, and even when Hanzo finds himself shuffling through the world with a lost purpose, Ryou’s always there to catch him and help him get right back up to find the righteous path.
SolarWind: MK11, modern
Competent: Most likely one of the most all-rounded combatant he’s ever seen in the Earthrealm. With the scope of martial arts and weaponry Jack/Ryou can handle, it’s most likely that he could be even challenged to become the Earthrealm’s Champion. As Ryou has served as an active agent,
Intelligent: A trait that is probably most admirable, in that the capability of thinking flexibly/outside the box and necessitates the ability to shift and change the patterns of thinking from one way to another is considerably the most valued trait that could be used both as an active agent, or as a medical doctor.
Open-minded: They both like to stay open-minded to others' points of view, not formulating their own until hearing multiple voices. This doesn't mean they're fickle, for an open-minded person such as Jack/Ryou is more likely to be confident about his opinion once formed and less likely to be manipulated.
SolarWind: Samurai Jack verse
Resilient: A resilient person is aware of situations, his own emotional reactions and the behavior of those around him. By remaining aware, Jack/Ryou can maintain control of a situation and think of new ways to tackle problems. Another characteristic of resilience is the understanding that life is full of challenges, and despite such challenges, never giving up and seeing the light of the day again and again.
Guilt-Ridden: Jack/Ryou perpetually deals the stress of the guilt, which can have a serious effect. While mostly psychological, some physical effects can include insomnia, a loss of appetite, and an overall dreary feeling, which Fujin has seen the samurai experience in such a deeply, heart-wrenching scopes. Guilt happens to share a lot of symptoms with depression; and depression can develop within someone with severe guilt issues.
Paternal: Jack/Ryou is a believer that pretty much everyone can be redeemed. Even when Daughters of Aku are sent after the samurai to kill him, he develops deep emotional connections with them, and he wants to set the wrong right. They both have seen the injustice of the world run amok and rampant and they believe in such halcyon optimism to help anyone who are corrupted with darkness.
Here’s a bit of backstory for Uka Uka I came up with, as to what pushed him to becoming evil, and all the events that led up to the first three games:
When Uka Uka was mortal, same sex couples were not uncommon in his tribe, and were actually well-accepted. Despite having had a lot of relationships with women, Uka Uka eventually fell in love with a man, and the two were very close.
The problem with the man Uka Uka loved was that he was accused of trying to seduce one of the other tribesmen with forbidden magic, and was banished into the jungle as a result. This was actually not true; the tribesman who was “seduced” was married, and was caught trying to harrass Uka Uka’s boyfriend. He lied about what happened in order to save face.
Uka Uka had tried to clear his boyfriend’s name, but the other tribesman was very well-liked and no one wanted to believe he could do any wrong. Uka Uka was furious, but there was nothing he could do about it. He started visiting his boyfriend in the jungle in secret, bringing him food and other necessities so that he could survive.
One morning, after Uka Uka had spent the night at his boyfriend’s hut, he had accidentally overslept, and he was in such a rush to get back to his village that he accidentally left his mask behind. Uka’s boyfriend saw this and rushed after him with the mask in tow. He eventually caught up with him, but no sooner did he hand the mask back to him did disaster strike.
The two were not far from the village when a random tribesman with a spear showed up and spotted them. Apparently, he’d heard noises from the jungle and had come to investigate. Seeing Uka’s forbidden beau, the tribesman assumed he’d put Uka under a dark spell, and tried to attack him. Uka Uka grabbed the tribesman and pinned him to a tree, threatening to kill him.
The tribesman begged Uka Uka to “snap out of it”, to “fight the dark magic”, and remember what a hero he was. Uka Uka was disgusted, but when he saw his boyfriend’s unease, he let go of the tribesman. Much to Uka Uka’s surprise, his boyfriend then distracted the tribesman by pretending to seduce him, hinting through his words that a hero like Uka Uka would be better off without someone like him. Out of fear and rage, the tribesman lunged at Uka’s boyfriend, successfully killing him with the spear.
Uka Uka could only stare in shock at what he’d witnessed. It was only when his boyfriend’s killer stood up with blood on his face that Uka Uka finally reacted, getting sick to his stomach and turning away. He eventually ran back to the village and secluded himself in his hut. Once there, he threw a violent tantrum before finally lying down and wailing in despair.
Uka Uka loudly mourned his beloved for days, though no one in his tribe really knew what was wrong. Both his mother and his brother tried to help him, but because Uka Uka wasn’t really communicating, insisting they leave him alone, there was nothing they could do.
Finally, Uka Uka’s despair turned to anger. He thought about his beloved’s death, about how people judged him constantly and compared him to Aku Aku, how he felt like a burden to his family, and just about every single other issue Uka Uka had. His beloved’s death was merely the final straw in a long line of injustices against him. Uka Uka vowed revenge on his tribe for all the suffering he’d endured. He would become far more powerful than his feeble brother, and make the entire world fear him.
Uka Uka turned to forbidden magic to increase his power, and used his newfound magical strength to attack the Wumpa Islands, hurting and killing many islanders in the process. Aku Aku was forced to fight him off and protect everyone, powering up his own magic through prayers to the Ancients. After a long, grueling battle, Aku Aku won.
As punishment for what he’d done, Uka Uka was sealed inside an old temple and left to die. Even up until his mortal body finally gave out from starvation and dehydration, he would not stop thinking about making the world... no, the UNIVERSE fear him and his wrath. To make his foolish brother pay for standing in his way. To make everyone bend to his will and make them see him as the god he had become. He had gone mad with power and hatred.
When he reawakened as a mask, he spent centuries plotting and scheming, and frequently sent out spirit-powered messages in the hopes of gaining allies to spread his evil. N. Tropy was one such ally, and they kept in touch frequently across time and space. When Uka Uka finally made contact with Dr. Cortex for the first time, he recognized how weak-minded he was, and yet how determined he was to rule the world.
Uka Uka made a deal with him: if Cortex became his servant, he would give him the secrets to obtaining absolute power. Cortex, being obsessed with power, agreed to this without really thinking. Uka Uka told him of the Power Gems hidden throughout the Wumpa Islands, telling him to secure them to harness planetary energy to use as he wished. Unfortunately, Crash found all the Gems before Cortex could.
Uka Uka was not pleased with Cortex’s failure, but he tried again, this time telling him to find Power Crystals instead. Having noted Crash’s knack for collecting things, Cortex tried to use him to locate Crystals... but we all know how that turned out.
And that’s why at the beginning of Crash Bandicoot Warped, Uka Uka yells at Cortex for failing him twice even after giving him “simple instructions to follow”. You know what happens after that.
The Untold Story
"Mas, kayanya aku gak akan tinggal di jogja lagi deh."
I remember that day when I started a conversation with him. To which he replied, "Lah nanti yang nemenin aku di sini siapa?"
I'd been knowing him for years but it was never in my mind that I would get closed to him. I never cared about him. And so did he. Until we hit the same event which led us to get closer.
We texted almost everyday and met frequently. Sometimes we had a phone call at midnight or it was just me asking him to help me out to stay awake due to my supervision the next day.
I like throwing jokes and he's that kind of people who often jokes around and makes his surrounding laugh. And we had this internal joke that only us would understand. We often laughed together and called each other "jayus".
We were different in many ways. But at some point, we had the same basic principal which kept us stick to each other. When something didn't go well, sometimes I called him "cowok brengsek" or "cowok bajingan". (Little did I know, it could be considered as name calling to which it's not healthy in a relationship). Then he answered, "Aku tuh salah apa sih, Lis, sama kamu? Kamu kok kaya benci banget sama aku," It sounded like I hate him so much but I swear to God I didn't hate him at all. I don't. And never will.
He totally had no idea how much I lost my appetite when we no longer got along well. I tried to cheer me up by going to the movies but I ended up having no idea what the movie was all about because my mind couldn't just stop thinking how he's doing and questioning how many mistakes I made to make him left without a single word. I guess it all started when he said in a text, "Kamu kan gitu. Pacar gak sopan. Gak bales wasap. Gak ngasih kabar," and I was like, "Hahaha" and sent him a kiss emoticon in a hope that we would make peace afterwards. We did get back. But I guess what he said wasn't just joking.
It was uncomfortable not to talk to him that long so I tried to reach him out. But he never sent me back. I was tired of thinking how bad I was not being able to make him stay. I was so confused and tried to let it be. Two months later, someone told me he's with someone new. As soon as I knew it, I couldn't function well and it felt like knives stabbing in my chest. We practically didn't break up because there's no so-called "kata putus". But then I realized, we might also have never been in a date because I didn't literally say yes when he asked me "Lis, pacaran yuk." Instead, I joked around, "Haha enak aja w pelarian dong." I kept telling myself that we were never that closed despite the fact that we spent more than a year going thru thick and thin together (especially he supported and accompanied me during my thesis and thesis defense).
He's such a whole package. He's funny, kind, clever, wise, caring, hard worker, and good looking lol. He's raised the bar high for me in seeing future bf, I guess? If I could have the chance to tell him the truth, I would thank him for taking care of me and treating me well. And if only I could turn back the time, I would never replace the part of being together with him. I was happy to be supported by him during my hardest time. It was a good time after all.
Now he looks so happy with his wife. I will not bother thinking the what ifs I happened to be with him. I'm totally fine and I've made peace with everything. Last but not least, I learn a lot from this.
*singing adele's someone like you in the background *
**kenapa lirik lagunya bisa accurate gitu:))**
P.S ini terjadi beberapa tahun yg lalu jadi saya sekarang sudah biasa saja menulisnya tidak sampai merasa tersayat-sayat seperti dahulu bye
First Kiss
I’ve been wanting to write this for a while, so here we go! It’s a little drabble about Charlotte and Akutagawa’s first kiss.
~~~~~~~~
It had been precisely 4 months since Charlotte had decided to join the Port Mafia. Well, not join, per say, but had decided to leave the Guild and had made her home within the walls of the Port Mafia, not as if she had any real choice in the matter. Akutagawa had allowed her to keep her room, and Mori was so kind as to donate a few dresses, and even gave her some money to spend, as long as Charlotte promised to take Elise shopping with her. She obliged, and dare she say, she had fun.
She hadn’t seen Valta at all. She worried deeply for her friend and feared something had happened. “She’d come back for me, wouldn’t she? She always came back.” Quiet thoughts ran through her head the first month, but after spending time with the Mafia she gave up, realizing she was only truly safe within their walls.
It was the Port Mafia that would have tried to abuse her power, after all. Yet, even as she walked the halls, she never felt afraid. They were kind and respectful in their own ways to her. But she knew Akutagawa would never allow anything to happen to her. That she could count on.
Oh, Aku. How close they had grown to each other. He spent more and more time in her room, bringing tea, books, and other small things to make her stay more enjoyable. He’d often bring her things from the shops he had passed on his rounds, occasionally finding a small piece of jewelry, or, has he soon found out, a small plush. She had a small collection starting to grow, a little pleasantry that made her smile every time she saw them.
Yet, there was something within her that wanted more than little glances from atop their tea cups, small touches as he helped her up the stairs or even combed out her hair. She desired him, but she feared her ability. Often she would sit and cry, wishing she was normal, wishing she didn’t have this blasted thing all just so she could kiss him.
They had talked about Jane Eyre on multiple occasions. On experimentation and on the true power of her ability. He was so careful with his words, so unexpectedly gentle with her and it only made her heart ache that much more for his touch, for his embrace.
And he yearned for her. Desperate to find a way to tell her, yet fearing she’d think he was only after her ability. Rashomon even pressed him, the voice in his head that always talked over his own thoughts of fearing that he wasn’t good enough for her, that he was too crass or impulsive for someone as elegant as Charlotte. “You are unlike anyone I have ever met. You carry yourself so beautifully.” He had accidentally let out. A rose red blush spread across both of their faces when he spoke, proceded by a bought of giggles from Charlotte, trying to hide her face behind her fan.
“Thank you, Aku.” She used her nickname for him. Only she was allowed to use it.
And they pined for each other, both parties desperately trying to find a way to admit their feelings for each other. Until that fateful day, the day of their first kiss.
It started as any normal day, Aku joining Charlotte in her room for breakfast. She enjoyed eating in her room, away from the hustle of the morning, and Rashomon enjoyed eating with her, so they ate together. Charlotte still wished for a window, so she could feel the breeze against her skin as she watched the sun rise and fall, but she made due with small walks around a near by park. “Would you like to go for a small walk after breakfast, Aku? I hear the cherry blossoms are starting to bloom.” That was one of her favorite things about living in Japan, the beauty of the landscape. She hadn’t gotten to see the trees bloom yet in her short stay, and as she didn’t know how long she’d be here, she wanted to see them at least once. Akutagawa nodded in agreement, setting his now empty cup down on the tray.
“That sounds great, Charlotte. I’ll have Mori-“ Charlotte frowned, not necessarily minding the watch Aku inevitably would have set up for her, but for once she wanted it to be just them.
“Let’s- Let’s have it be just us for today?” She said rather quietly, hiding her nose in her cup. There was a small, hidden smile on Aku’s face and Rashomon stirred inside him.
The ride to the park was rather uneventful, but Charlotte’s golden eyes were wide when they arrived. The trees seemed to explode in pinks and whites, and her mouth slacked agape at the beauty and intricacy of each tree. Akutagawa had to turn away, for fear of fainting from her reaction. His face turned a deep red. She was so cute. How had he not seen her like this before? The way the sun shone in her honey brown hair, each little highlight reflecting the sun like gold. The way her amber eyes shone in the light, looking beautifully yellow. He nearly choked on his love for her, an actual coughing fit riding through him.
“Oh my! Aku, are you alright, my dear?” Charlotte rushed to his side, abandoning the trees. He nodded furiously as he removed his handkerchief, coughing into it. He waved his hand as if to say “I’m fine, go on ahead,” but Charlotte stayed, a hand going to his back, rubbing softly in a circle. “I’m sorry. This must not be very good for your health. I got to see them, we can leave now, if you would like.” There was no sadness in her eyes, only genuine concern for his well being. He coughed again.
Deciding leaving now wasn’t a good idea, (and the mere fact that the car that had dropped them off was indeed nowhere to be found) they made their way to a bench overlooking the canal, two cherry blossom trees on each side. “You must take it easy, Aku. Have you been drinking honey in your tea like I’ve suggested?” He nodded again, the coughing finally calming down.
“I’m alright, Charlotte. I’ll be fine. Don’t let me spoil your trip.”
“Our trip.” She gave a small smile, her hand testing the waters of their journey as she placed it near his. She was relieved when he took it quickly in hers, intertwining their fingertips together. It sent a jolt of lightning through her veins, as if she was on fire. It was such a small action but it filled her with something she hadn’t felt in a long time.
He lifted her hand to his chest, turning in the bench to face her more directly. “Charlotte I-“ he trailed off, unsure of what to say. His eyes said it all, and she could read them like one of her books.
“Me too.”
She closed her eyes and lept. When their lips finally met sparks found every corner of her. Her fingertips nearly went numb from the energy between them, yet the kiss stayed sweet. It was gentle and honest she had completely succumbed to it. He still held her hand in his, his other moving gently to her face. She leaned into his touch, his hand warm and calming.
When she finally pulled away, eyes doey and lips ripe, she gave him a small smile before looking down at their hands, nearly embarrassed to look at him again. “I’m sorry, I-“ she didn’t finish, for he had lifted her chin, placing another small kiss upon her lips.
“Don’t be, Charlotte. I like you. We like you.” He motioned to his coat, smiling. Rashomon’s seal of approval, a small wisp of dark air blowing between them, a cold across their lips.
“I like you too, Aku.” ‘And you, Rashomon.’ She thought, knowing he was the only one that could hear her.
“And don’t fear.” Akutagawa spoke quietly to her, his hand going back to her soft face. “I will never force you to do anything you don’t want to do, Charlotte. So help me I would have Rashomon kill me before I took advantage of you.” He leaned forward, resting his forehead on hers. “I will protect you till the very end.”
This sent Charlotte over the edge, all of her fears washing away as he spoke to her. A kiss and he could make her do anything once. Anything in the world from power to money to breaking the very laws of physics and time themselves. And he doesn’t want that. He wants her. It makes her heart ache for him, for their future, and all she can do is smile. She closed her eyes once again, tears threatening to fall if she hadn’t, and kissed him again and again until she couldn’t breathe. Until her lips were swollen, and until she was sure that it was all real.
