About Me

I very much enjoy discussing, theorizing, and dissecting Twisted Wonderland characters and the lore around them. So if you want to talk to me about them I am more than happy too.

I will say my favorite characters are Cater, Vil, Riddle, Azul, and Floyd

The next tier would be Idia, Jade, Leona, Rook, Lilia, Jamil, Silver, and Malleus.

I feel mostly indifferent to the first years, I don't dislike them so much as they don't interest me as much as some of the others, Ruggie and Kalim also fall into this category.

Of the staff, Crewel is my absolute favorite, and I otherwise like to bully the crowman.

Shipping wise, my top ships are:

Vil/Cater is definitely my number one, I can't even lie, my Ao3 account tells the truth.

Floyd/Riddle is a close second, they're a comfort ship for me, and remind me of me and my husband (I would be Riddle in this dynamic)

Then followed by Idia/Azul, Leo/Mal, Kalim/Silver, Rook/Trey, and some form of Jack/Deuce/Epel, either them as separate couples or poly. I can't really choose which one I like best.

Ships that I do not like/will not write/talk about much unless it's why I don't think they would work are: Kalim/Jamil, Leo/Vil, Trey/Cater

Also no student/teacher or really any adult/minor ships, incest ships, or ones with a huge power imbalance.

Platonically, I love Vil & Rook's relationship. And really just Pomefiore as a family.

Also Cater & Idia, Cater & Malleus, Cater & Riddle, Cater & Rook, Cater & Jamil, Leona & Cater, and Lilia & Cater

Personally, I identify a lot with Cater and Riddle for various reasons. That I won't get into here, not because I'm not willing to talk about it, but because it would be an entire large post of its own.

I mostly interact with the fandom through fanfiction. I have written way too many stories to list them all here but some highlights are:

Enchanted: Lilia adopts Cater as a child and raises him in Briar Valley.

The Broken Mirrors series: Overblot victims travel through broken mirrors to an alternate reality. So far our victims are Azul, Vil, Riddle, and Malleus. Though I intend to write one about each victim by the end of it.

The Queen's Court: Cater interns with the Queen of Briar Valley teaching her about the internet and social media. Ends up getting adopted.

True Colors: Crewel takes Vil and Cater to fashion week during the end of their 2nd year, where they end up bonding once Vil coaxes the real Cater out from behind his mask.

are we listening to gay hcs about the thing? because i have only one ship in that movie and i want it to be heard. (summary/tldr at the end)

this is kind of like the debate between frodo and sam where a true platonic friendship is shown between men and they both have this deep sense of trust and platonic love for each other and you almost don’t want to touch it because of how well it was done. but also they should have kissed.

i think that the relationship between macready and fuchs was like that. before mac was ever the head of the outpost fuchs pulled him aside to discuss with only him blair’s findings on the dog and splitface. he had known the danger they posed to him and his fellow men, that the thing singles out each victim and will only reveal itself when alone, and that both confirmed things were still alive.

fuchs is a very smart man and distances himself from any others who may be infected, but places his trust in macready. this could be for the same reason that he is elected the leader toward the mid point of the film, just that they trust his judgment and cool demeanor as a vet, but that doesn’t excuse fuchs literally going out into the snowcat alone with macready where he’s at his most vulnerable. you wouldn’t just bet your life on something like that if you didn’t know for absolute certain he was human.

i think its most likely that the two have a history together, in the platonic sense at the very least, and fuchs knows and trusts macready the most. which is where i fall into the pit of gayness.

fuchs may not trust macready at all.

fuchs may launch himself into these one on ones with mac because he would rather confide in an old friend rather than someone else who may well be a thing, but also because he would rather die at the hands of macready/thing than live in uncertainty that his one confidant could be working against him. this works in tandem with what theories have sprung up about his death.

after fuchs and macready have their chat on blair’s notes a second time in fuchs’ study, he goes out to investigate a silhouette. from there to his point of death there’s no evidence of the circumstances of his death other than his charred remains.

i don’t doubt a thing could maneuver a flare but also who has been using the firepower the whole movie? the outpost. then nauls (i believe is who makes the suggestion) and mac both theorize that fuchs was the one with the flare, with different outcomes (“maybe he tried to burn it” “maybe he burned himself before it could get to him”).

now this part is gonna get funky because i’ve heard this theory before but it doesn’t add up just right.

the prominent theory for fuchs’ death is that he found macready’s torn up clothes (establishing that he is probably a thing) and then burned himself alive. fuchs was found right outside the outpost. the jacket was stuffed into the furnace in macready’s shack. odd. until you add the narrative.

macready’s jacket was found with burn marks. (its implied) no one has been in macready’s shack for several days. no one has used the furnace in several days. fuchs found macready’s jacket after stumbling outside, wherever the thing may have planted it. after finding out that his closest friend on the base, the one who the entire outpost trusted to lead them and who he trusted with the knowledge on how to prevent assimilations, was one of them, he couldn’t handle it. he didn’t want to live with his mistakes in a world of paranoia and uncertainty, and wanted to die a man. he set himself on fire with the coat still in hand, but quickly tossed it away so it could be found by someone else to serve justice to the thing that killed macready, thus the burns on the coat.

(summary tidbit)

YOU SEE HOW THAT SOUNDS??? fuchs only ever entrusted macready with new information that could then be passed down to the rest of the outpost, spent at least two scenes in a place alone with him, then burned himself alive when he found out mac was (maybe) a thing. and i didn’t even have to TOUCH the way that the movie is a metaphor for the AIDS crisis to prove how gay they were.

i need to write a fic from a gay fuchs perspective because i have a lot more subtleties i want to add to his character and i think that would go hard. make ME go hard if you know what i’m sayin

Im just not a fan of monster jon, at all! He's not the type of character that i enjoy seeing having a corruption arc unfortunately!! It just hurts!!! (and this Is from someone that Loves corruption arcs!!!)

Also i really hate moth jon imagery??? For not particular reason, moths are pretty, but i still hate it u_u AND THE ASSOCIATION OF GREEN W/ JON (or the beholding in general!) I CANNOT STAND IT!! i know its bc of the tma logo but guess what! Its wrong! Purple jon rights!!!

Idea for a story

dfgdfg i have..... a petermart story that dealt with the different flavor of loneliness they both had, half smut half genuine meta of both of them and theorization on the branching of an Entity & how their powers manifested in other people...

basically, peter thinks hes hot shit when it comes to loneliness but gets overwhelmed when martin accidentally projects his feelings abt *fic's plot stuff* on him, its fun stuff!

people either paint him like an absolute devil or an incompetent idiot and hes neither of them! hes an asshole who loves being an asshole but far from the worst monster in the show and he tried to do a clever scheme TWICE on his life and 1. while it was established that any of the rituals wouldnt work singularly the Silence was still a pretty clever attempt if it weren't for gertrude! and 2. well... he tried to manipulate someone petty and formerly supposed to be a web avatar, again not his fault, cant call him stupid for trying dfgdfg

i Do think hes kinda pathetic in some sense considering his backstory, but more out of personal pity than anything else

Canonically speaking him and martin! The pull and push of them was The best thing about season 4! Peter being a quite dangerous avatar and martin, beautiful and scared and kinda feisty, confronting him every chance he gets, peter doing his best to manipulate him and martin letting him believe hes succeeding (even thought, he is, partly). They're fascinating characters to have side by side

Favorite headcanon

Partly canonically speaking him and mikaele salesa :) they do bets together! They're lonely sea men! What else could you possibly want?

listen, listen, i know it sounds like im woobifying her i Know it but reading the scraps of her story how can i Not feel sorry for her? when the story framed her very similar to jon? the supernatural childhood encounter that gave them arachnophobia and the subsequential joining with an Entity against her will? the fact that both the story and the fans treat her like a spider woman always sat very very bad to me, and the fact that the story itself always framed her like a villain (considering All The Other Characters that get the benefit of the doubt) was extremely disappointing

OK WAIT VAMPIRE AU AND IM LIVING FOR IT i have a shit ton of headcanons so,,,

here’s a quick summary

Humans hunt vampires and they’re often outcased/killed, although there’s been more recently since they’re learning from a young age to disguise themselves and can now hide their teeth.

also there's a couple types of vampires: some who melt in sun but have wings and can eat normal diets and those who don’t melt in sun, don’t have wings and need a little bit of blood in their diets (but it can be from like,, animals. It doesn’t have to be humans)

the vampires who melt in the sun (ILL CALL EM MELTY BOYS) are super rare so unless stated otherwise, whenever i say “X is a vampire” i'm referring to the not melty ones with no wings

setting/time/almost everything is the same. They are just. Vampires. (THEY LOOK DIFFERENTS TOO SFBDJHG)

- her mom still keeps the fact that chloe’s a vampire a secret from everyone tho

- cause outing someone as a vampire is actually so low that even thought like yeah,, not everyone likes vampires but like no one’s gonna like u either bc you outed them on something so personal and something they trusted you with

- sabrina doesn’t care if chloe’s a vampire she still really cares about her

- but sabrina wouldn’t like it if anyone else was a vampire

- also another thing about chloe she tends to act like she hates vampires to avoid detecting from the Vamp Police 

- ig the vamp police is like sabrina’s dad who really hates vampires and actively looks for them (which is part of the reason sabrina isn’t a big fan of vampires either.)

- they’re not called the vamp police it’s just the police but i like saying that

- like i said before alix is Vampire and basically learns who’s a vampire in the class super quickly

- she knows what to look for when someone’s hiding their identity and knows she’s not the only vampire in the class

- she also figures out everyone’s super hero identities (which is why she gets the rabbit miraculous)

- max knows from stats that it’s likely that there's a couple people in the class who are vampires

- KIM DIDN’T ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT A VAMPIRE WAS BECAUSE HIS FAMILY THOUGHT IT WOULD SCARE HIM SO THEY NEVER TOLD HIM LMAO

- max had to teach him (with the help of alix) what a vampire was but it took like an hour

- the only reason kim actually learned something is because his boyfriend told him that if he paid super close attention (after running through the whole presentation like 3 times) he would give him a smooch

- after that kim grew a big brain and learned everything

- both of their parents and ondine would be super accepting if they were vampires tho

- but they’re both human

- also a little more lore its not biological if you’re a vampire or not it’s purely chance

- Its kinda like being born lgbt ig

- ALSO EVERYONE IS SOME FORM OF LGBT but i have my own hc for that

- lgbt vampires are incredibly oppressed like they can’t go out into the street *pensive*

- ANYWAYS juleka is a melty vampire and rose is a human

- rose’s family is super into hunting vampires 

- rose invited her gf over for a family dinner and the whole time they talked about killing vampires

- juleka doesn’t hate being a vampire and thinks it’s really cool

- SO SHE DRESSES LIKE A VAMPIRE???

- rose had marinette design juleka a sun hat similar to hers because juleka kept forgetting she melts in the sun and went out in it more times then she should’ve

- juleka’s a little bit more outgoing in this au and drops hints that she’s a vampire because she thinks it’s Epic

- rose has to remind her that not everyone thinks it’s epic

- nathaniel is really passionate about vampires and wants to learn more about them

- HE POPPED OFF HARD WHEN HE LEARNED HIS BOYFRIEND’S A VAMPIRE

- nathaniel is so supportive of marc it’s rlly cute

- he has to stop himself from mentioning his bf’s a vampire bc he remembers not everyone thinks it’s as cool as he does

- marc loves that nathaniel is so supportive

- when he first saw nathaniel drawing the class of vampires he just went “fuck he’s the one”

- 100% nathaniel draws marc looking super vampire during class

- i’m just now thinking of akuma’s but like here’s kinda how it would work

- They’re basically the same as they were before (being all evil and shit,, basically the same powers) but i think there would be some story changes??

- lady wifi would be less concerned with lb’s identity and more with if she’s a vampire or not because the cause of her akuma would be her theorizing if lb’s a vamp or not

- causing chloe to make fun of her and say stuff like “cool people can’t be vampires they’re stupid and serve no purpose in life”

- lady wifi doesn’t manage to rip of either lb’s mask for her fake teeth because the costume change also adds fake human teeth to replace the real ones (and you can’t take them off like the mask)

- but lady wifi doesn’t know this so she assumes lb’s not a vampire which she’s disappointed with but alya doesn’t remember this

- BUT the media and chat noir think that she’s not a vampire

- reflekta’s design is a little different but that’s about it

- The change with lady wifi is the only akuma i can think about rn but if i do more headcanons about this i might go more into detail on stuff like that

- CHAT BLANC IS ALSO DIFFERENT

- the build up to the akumatisation is basically the same but adrien realises that lb is marinette and also a melty vampire cause he she’s her melt a little when she leaves the room

- after marinette breaks up with adrien he runs in and transforms 

- after the reveal of adrien’s mom and stuff adrien reveals his wings and tries to kill is dad

- gabriel is disgusted by his son and tells him how disappointed his mother would be

- then chat gets akumatized and stuff

- instead of hitting the moon he’d hit the sun so that he didn’t need to struggle with being a vampire anymore

- he sucks the life out of hawkmoth and claims that he and lb can be together now that there’s no daylight but she says she can live like this which is when he kills her and goes on a murder spree

- then he just sits atop the eiffel tower in complete darkness until past lb shows up with bunnyx and she fixes everything

- his motives are more about disappointing his mother this time and being ashamed about being a vampire

- and also that his wish would be to make it so nobody is a vampire so people wouldn't have to feel ashamed about their identity and hide it all the time

- lb teaches him to love himself and his identity as a vampire and how proud his mother would’ve been of him

- ok enough about chat blanc 

- lila is a human and she acts like she loves vampires 

- but she actually hates them

- she’s super touchy with adrien and he’s even more uncomfortable now cause he knows she’s lying and would hate him when she found his wings

- all the vampires have seen this act before and tell their s/o’s so basically everyone’s against lila except for like maybe sabrina

- no one thinks she’s cool because i hate her

- she still lies about going on rides with prince ali and other stuff 

- WOULD TOTALLY OUT SOMEONE AS A VAMPIRE

- her family is known for hunting vampires but she claims she’s different

- ok but ivan is just a sweet vampire trying to keep his identity a secret and mylene is just his support human gf who loves him just the way he is

- ivan doesn’t hate being a vampire but also doesn’t like it cause he’s worried that everyone will say stuff like “i bet you’re a vampire” “you’re a villain and you’re cruel, just like vampires” and other stupid stuff

- he is just a soft man

- MYLENE DEFENDS HIM WITH HER LIFE

- mylene thinks him being a vampire is super cool!!

- they kiss a lot and ivan is worried he’ll bite her but she’s ok with it

- sometimes ivan wishes he was a melty vampire so he could wrap his wings around mylene to cuddle her and stuff

- gabriel knows nathalie is a vampire and she knows he knows but neither of them make comments on it

- nathalie does really like vampires and doesnt mind being one herself

- she knows adrien’s a vampire and helps him hide it

- his father likes to know everything about adrien so he tried leaving cups with blood in them in his room to see if he would drink them

- and if he did cause he didn’t know his father was testing him nathalie would just refill them

- she starts keeping blood around the house and gabriel assumes it’s just for her cause he isn’t educated and doesn’t know the difference between rare vamps and the common vamps

- ALSO LIKE LAST ONE BUT one time lb and chat went out at night to hunt for blood cause they were thirsty but they ran into each other and it was rlly awkward

Since Shadow Pokemon were made one Gen before Aura really got expanded, there’s a lot of gaps in how exactly Shadow Pokemon works regarding Aura. ‘Cause no doubt it fucks it up--their Auras turn BLACK. But other than that we dunno much. SO, first, let’s do a quick brush up on some factors we know regarding Shadow Pokemon and Aura:

Shadow Pokemon’s Auras turn black.

They lose their memories as a result of having their hearts (which I suspect to be the core of their Auras) sealed.

As a by-product of losing their memories, that includes their moves. Instead, they ‘learn’ distorted variations of them called Shadow Moves. These all use their distorted Aura.

As Pokemon get their hearts opened, they begin to recover their memories, including relearning their moves.

Hyper Mode aka Reverse Mode turns a Shadow Pokemon’s Aura red and sends them into frenzy.

Lovrina’s batch of Shadow Pokemon have the potential to, if ‘perfectly’ Shadowfied, change physical appearance.

Celebi has the power to instantly purify a Shadow Pokemon.

The Purification Chamber purifies Shadow Pokemon using a tempo and flow system, which is based on type synergy.

There are more than this, which you can find easily on Bulbapedia, but that is the main points. Now, onto the hc’s that I have drawn from this.

>>WHAT IS IT

It is my belief that Aura makes up the essence of the person. Aura is known to change color based on personality and emotion based on various sources in the Pokemon canon. In Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, your type of Aura affects what Pokemon you become. So, it seems Aura is not just closely connected to the overall ‘status’ of a person, but also the basic blueprints of who they are. Changing anything about the person would thus affect the Aura and vice versa. They’re connected, ‘cause they’re all part of the person y’know?

>>HOW AURA IS USED TO MAKE SHADOW POKEMON

For Shadow Pokemon, their Aura is a unique color, black. In addition, they lack any memories or mental traits of their real selves. Even their Nature is suppressed until their heart is opened a little. They are blank, a machine. How does Cipher accomplish this?

Well, it is clear that however it is done, it requires very advanced technology. Personally, as Aura acts like the key parts to a person, it would require a precise machine that could surgically go in and ‘rewrite’ the Aura. You wanna change the essence of who someone is, you gotta go to the Aura, the center. This machine would probably emit its own artificial ‘Aura’ signature--allowing it to interact with Aura and bend it based on adjusting the output. Once you have that sorted out, it’s just like rewriting code. Tune the Aura frequency to have it interact with the Aura to change one part you don’t like, adjust, change another part, and so on. Once you rewrite all of a person’s Aura, you have a new ‘program’. Now, you didn’t do this naturally. You forced the Aura to change in ways it shouldn’t, essentially damaging and warping it. The Aura being black is a color of distress, like damaged tissue. However, a key part is that, say, a liver can be damaged, but it doesn’t change into something other than a liver. A Pokemon can be corrupted and warped as much as they want, but they don’t change from, say, a Shadow Sentret into a Shadow Froakie. The Aura was warped, but you can just as easily heal it back. You can’t just delete a Pokemon’s essence, no matter how hard Cipher tried to.

The precision required to overwrite each and every part of their Aura helps explain why the proces was so tedious for Ein. He invented Shadow Pokemon, but just like any invention, it starts off rather crude. As a result, Ein wasn’t able to pump Shadow Pokemon out too fast. Lovrina took Ein’s work and built on it, streamlining the process to the point Shadow Pokemon can be pumped out on a conveyor belt. How? Well, it could be many possibilities, but what I theorize is that she found a set of central weak points that all Aura shared or could have. Put this info into a machine and it can just scan and automatically apply the alterations based on the weak points that particular Aura had. Lovrina could spit Shadows out like cheap shoes, so she focused on the next step, making a Pokemon immune to purification.

Now, while she did fail to accomplish this, she came damn close.

>>THE CASE OF XD001

Shadow Lugia is a unique case in the Colosseum games, hence why it gets its own section. It is the only case of a Pokemon:

1. Changing appearance upon having its heart sealed

2. Being unaffected by every method of purification accessible to Michael in Gale of Darkness except for one.

So, starting with the first point, remember how I said Aura is the essence of a person? That affecting the Aura has the possibility of affecting the person and vice versa? What do we have here? A case where Lugia’s Aura has been so thoroughly mangled that it actually affected his physical appearance. This implies complete and utter corruption, a full change, no?

Well, Lugia had a small hitch. At the start of Gale of Darkness, it had a lapse in its Shadow state and had the wherewithal to drop the cargo ship it stole before delivering it to Cipher. This was regarded by Lovrina as a small hiccup in her process and that she had now perfected it by the time Michael fights Greevil.

But was it really?

To answer that, let’s look at the second point. Shadow Lugia can only be purified when the Purify Chamber is set to MAX tempo. This is done by perfectly synergizing the Pokemon in the Chamber so that their types create a constant loop of Super-Effective advantages. When it is, Shadow Lugia is instantly freed. Now, they say it’s based on Types in the game, but gee, what determines a Pokemon’s blueprints, including its type? Once again, it’s all about the Aura. You’re not merely synergizing types, you’re synergizing Aura. You create a loop of Aura so potent that it snaps the damaged Aura back to its natural state, and that makes a lot of sense. Aura has already been shown to be able to be weaponized to harm or to heal in battle. Who’s to say merely being around other Aura doesn’t affect yours? On top of that, Shadow Pokemon Aura is artificial and unnatural. The Aura doesn’t want to be that way, it wasn’t meant to. Being around a natural, potent force of Aura like the Purification Chamber affects the Shadow Pokemon just like the artificial force of Aura warped it in the first instance. Instead, it encourages the Pokemon’s Aura to return to what it was.

So, taking all this in as fact for a moment, why did Lugia snap when it grabbed the cargo ship?

IT WAS FULL OF POKEMON.

It was a jumbled mess and not at all a max tempo, but it was an overwhelming force to be sure, just enough so that it could give it a moment of clarity to resist its forced programming.

>>THE COMMON LINK WITH PURIFICATION METHODS

All purification methods, one way or another, invoke or touch the Aura in some way. And I mean that’s not hard to do, since Aura is meant to change so much with the person, react with them, move with them etc. Don’t believe me? Let’s review:

1. Walking with the Shadow Pokemon is easy. The Trainer’s Aura is interacting with the Pokemon’s. Just like with the tempo idea, but on a small scale, thus why it only lowers it a little.

2. Same with sending it into battle. You’re battling with it, how much different is that from having a walk with it? The Aura is still there.

3. Using scents is slightly different. Scents invoke memories, which a Shadow Pokemon have locked away. You are forcing those memories to stir, awakening their real Aura hidden underneath all that damage.

4. Calling them out does the same thing, you’re reminding them of who they are.

5. Celebi has prominent healing powers, able to revive forests. Of course it would be able to heal a damaged Aura.

6. We already covered the Purification Chamber.

So, now that we’ve just about covered all the real nitty gritty of how I hc Aura works with Shadow Pokemon, here’s some miscellaneous stuff.

Getting hit by a Shadow Move probably makes you wanna throw up. It’s like getting garbage thrown in your face. It’s artificial, it’s not right, and it would probably not jive well with a natural Aura. Thus why Shadow Moves are Super-Effective against every type. I imagine Aura users would get especially sick being near Shadow Pokemon.

Hyper Mode is a result of the instability of being a Shadow Pokemon yes, but it is a manifestation of the real Aura trying to fight back and the artificial programming trying to maintain its warped state. Thus the huge increase in emotion in a usually emotionless thing.
