Doug Ingle (September 9, 1945 – May 24, 2024)was an American musician, best known as the founder, organist, primary composer and lead vocalist for the band Iron Butterfly.[2] He wrote the band’s hit song “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida”, which was first released in 1968, and was the last surviving member of the band’s 1967–1969 lineup.[1] He also had a short stint with the pop group Stark Naked and the Car Thieves in the early 1970s after he left Iron Butterfly.[2]

Ingle’s father Lloyd, a church organist, introduced him to music at an early age. Ingle moved from his native Nebraska within three months of his birth to the Rocky Mountains and later the family moved to San Diego.

His work is featured on Iron Butterfly albumsHeavy, In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, Ball andMetamorphosis. Most famously, he authored the band’s biggest hit, “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida”. He co-authored their remaining three hits (“Soul Experience”, “In the Time of Our Lives”, and “Easy Rider”) with other members of the group.

Ingle left Iron Butterfly in 1971. He toured occasionally with his former band members since that time but was not involved with either of Iron Butterfly’s later two album recordings Scorching Beauty and Sun And Steel.

“You wished for us to be together,” Kaiba said flatly, rising to his feet and moving towards the tiny shower, his body still heavy with grogginess. “Why didn’t you just wish for 10 million yen?�� Because that's what he felt Joey’s life was missing. 

Wishing for unrequited romance would always lead to despair.

Joey ruffled his hair in confusion and huffed under his breath, “everythin’sa bout money with you, Kaiba.”

Pretending he hadn’t heard anything, Kaiba locked himself in Joey’s shower and stood under the weak trickle of hot water. Fuck this shower head. Fuck this apartment, and fuck Joey for making him the focus of his affections.

There’s nothing good about me, Kaiba raged as he blindly swiped Joey’s soap up and down his legs, the water dripping into his eyes that were heating up with frustration.

Aside from their little lewd touches under the sheets–probably due to sleepiness and no access to privacy–Joey sucked. Aside from the weird, oddly nice sweet bread scent of Joey’s hair–Joey sucked.

He had a loud, annoying voice with that Kansai accent. He was poor. He was too friendly. Tons of negatives.

Paul Simon (born October 13, 1941) is an #musician, actor and #singer #songwriter. Simon’s fame, influence, and commercial success began as part of the duo Simon & Garfunkel, formed in 1964 with musical partner Art Garfunkel.

Simon wrote nearly all of the pair’s songs, including three that reached No. 1 on the U.S. singles charts: “The Sound of Silence”, “Mrs. Robinson”, and “Bridge over Troubled Water”.[1] The duo split up in 1970 at the height of their popularity, and Simon began a successful solo career as a guitarist and singer-songwriter, recording three highly acclaimed albums over the next five years.[2]

In 1986, he released Graceland, an album inspired by South African township music. Simon also wrote and starred in the film One-Trick Pony (1980) and co-wrote the Broadway musical The Capeman(1998) with the poet Derek Walcott.[3]

Mick Mars (born Robert Alan Deal; May 4, 1951) is an American #musician and #guitarist. He is known for being the #lead #guitarist for the #heavy metal #band Mötley Crüe up until the #band retired in 2015.

Mars was born in Terre Haute, Indiana,[1][2] but his family moved to Huntington, Indiana soon afterward.[3] Before he was 9 they relocated again, this time toGarden Grove, California.[3] He dropped out of high school and began playing guitar in a series of unsuccessful blues-based rock bands throughout the 1970s, taking on menial day jobs. After nearly a decade of frustration with the California music scene, he reinvented himself, changing his name from Robert Deal to Mick Mars and dyeing his hair jet black, hoping for a fresh start. In April 1981 he put a want ad in the Los Angeles newspaper The Recycler, describing himself as “a loud, rude and aggressive guitar player”. Nikki Sixx andTommy Lee, who were putting together a new band which would soon become Mötley Crüe, contacted him. After hearing him play he was hired for the band.

Klaus Meine (born 25 May 1948) is a German #vocalist, best known as the #lead #singer of the #hard #rock #heavy #metal #band Scorpions. He and #guitarist Rudolf Schenker are the only two members of the group to appear on every Scorpions album. Meine was placed at #22 on Hit Parader's Top Heavy Metal Vocalists of All Time list in 2006.[1]

Meine wrote most of the lyrics to Scorpions' songs. He also shared authorship of some lyrics with Herman Rarebell (former drummer of Scorpions) on some songs like the major hit "Rock You Like a Hurricane", among others. Meine composed some songs alone like "Wind of Change", "You and I", "But the Best for You", "Does Anyone Know", "A Moment in a Million Years", "Moment of Glory", "I Wanted to Cry", "Back to You", "My City, My Town", "Follow Your Heart", "Rock'n' Roll Band", "The World We Used To Know" and "Who We Are".[3]

In 1981, after a world tour and during the recording of the Blackout album, Meine lost his voice to the extent that he couldn't even speak properly. Meine was advised by his doctor to consider another profession because of his voice problems. However, Scorpions stuck together, and, after therapy and two vocal cord surgeries, Meine's voice recovered.

In 1990, Klaus performed in the "Live In Berlin" rendition of Roger Waters' "The Wall." Klaus was a highlight singer during the performance. In the year 2000, he was awarded the city of Hannover plaque.[4] and the Cross of Merit First Class (Verdienstkreuz 1. Klasse) of the Lower Saxony Order of Merit. In 2008, Dommenget released a Klaus Meine signature guitar that was given to him on his 60th birthday. On the Humanity World Tour and the Get Your Sting And Blackout World Tour, Klaus has used this guitar when performing.[5]

Besides the Scorpions, he has also collaboration in "Bridge to Heaven" with Uli Jon Roth; "Send Me An Angel," "Bigger than life", "Keep the World Child" and "Jerusalem of Gold" with the Israeli singer Liel Kolet; in "Bis wohin reicht mein Leben" from Rilke Projekt; "Wind of Change" with the tenor José Carreras and the song "Dying for an Angel" from the album "The Wicked Symphony" from Avantasia, as well as in the promotional video clip.

Jim Morrison (December 8, 1943 – July 3, 1971) was an #singer, #songwriter, and poet best remembered as the #lead #singer of #blues #rock #band the Doors.

Because of his songwriting, wild personality, performances, and the dramatic circumstances surrounding his life and death, he is regarded by critics and fans as one of the most iconic and influential frontmen in rock music history. In the later part of the 20th century, he was one of the popular culture's most rebellious and oft-displayed icons, representing the generation gap and youth counterculture. He was also well known for improvising spoken word poetry passages while the band played live. Morrison was ranked number 47 on Rolling Stone's list of the "100 Greatest Singers of All Time", and number 22 on Classic Rock magazine's "50 Greatest Singers In Rock". Ray Manzarek said Morrison "embodied hippie counterculture rebellion".

Morrison was sometimes referred to by other monikers, such as "Lizard King" and "King of Orgasmic Rock".
