Wild Beer Co Under the Sun Session Hazy IPA (Picked up at a Waitrose in London). A 3 of 4. Really nice hop profile on this lighter-bodied session IPA. Primarily tropical fruit in the nose with just a faint, slightly weird touch of coconut. Some sticky lacing and a slight creaminess make this taste a bit bigger than it is.

Today’s side-by-side was grapefruit beers. First up was All Day Grapefruit from Founders Brewing. A session hazy grapefruit IPA, this one is more grapefruit peel than grapefruit juice. Bitter on the finish it’s still very tasty. Next up was Neon Grapefruit Blonde from Logboat brewing. Not near as bitter with more of a juicy flavor. These were pretty different from each other for grapefruit beers, but I liked them both and I’d say go try them both.

Nuove birre artigianali e inclusioni bolognesi.

St. Louis brewery, Schlafly Beer, releases their newest variety pack, The Weekender.
Tumblr media
Press Release
ST. LOUIS, MO (May 15, 2023) — Schlafly Beer, the original, independent craft brewery in St. Louis, announces the release of a new variety pack, The Weekender. This pack includes a variety of crushable summer beers, thoughtfully bundled with fan favorites and new styles. The Weekender offers two exclusive brews – Hazy Getaway IPA and No Bounds Brown Ale – alongside Schlafly’s year-round Kolsch, and a seasonal favorite, Raspberry Hefeweizen. The 12-pack includes three 12-ounce cans each of the four beers.
“We wanted The Weekender to fully embody the fun and carefree nature of summer and to bring a pack that’s easy to take with you on summer getaways, camping trips, picnics, and trips to the beach. These beers offer a little something for everyone, for instance, Raspberry Hefeweizen is refreshing and fruity –  it’s a great beer for people who don’t think they like craft beer, and the Hazy Getaway IPA offers a lighter take on IPA’s at 110 calories while keeping the juicy hop flavor IPA’s are known for," says Schlafly CEO, Fran Caradonna. “With most of the beers ringing in under 5% ABV, it’s a sessionable selection for summer.”
The Weekender Variety Pack features three 12 oz. cans of each of the four beers, including:
Kolsch (ABV: 4.8%): Done properly and with distinction, this definitive golden ale is fermented with a yeast strain from Koln, Germany - where Kolsch originated. The result is a slightly dry and subtly malty brew with the delicate aroma of an ale and the clean finish of a lager.
No Bounds Brown Ale (ABV: 5.6%): The perfect blend of American and European malts to create notes of caramel, biscuits, and subtle hints of honey and chocolate, balanced with hop bitterness from American Ale yeast, allowing the malts to shine.
Raspberry Hefeweizen (ABV: 4.1%): A true fruit beer - not a fruit-flavored beer, this brew uses real raspberries during primary fermentation. This naturally yields a pink, hazy-colored brew with citrus aromas from the wheat and a desirable flavor that is neat and tart. Low in bitterness and not overwhelmingly sweet, this is our brewer’s summer water.
Hazy Getaway IPA (ABV: 4.0%): At only 110 calories, this golden IPA sways to the lighter side, but is still packed with juicy hop flavors with an unfiltered haze.
The Weekender 12-pack is available across Schlafly’s distribution for $17.99 as well as at Schlafly’s four brewpubs: Schlafly Tap Room in downtown St. Louis, Schlafly Bottleworks in the Maplewood neighborhood of St. Louis, Schlafly Bankside in St. Charles, MO and Schlafly Highland Square in Highland, IL.
About Schlafly Beer: Schlafly Beer, St. Louis’ original independent craft brewery, proudly brews a diverse collection of beers throughout the year. Our brewers use numerous hop varietals, malts, grains, fruits, natural ingredients and yeast strains from around the world to make every Schlafly beer unique. As part of our commitment to sustainability and our communities, we collaborate with local suppliers and neighborhood partners. Schlafly is a go-to across the Midwest and East Coast, and is a staple at countless fine establishments, backyards and basement bars. Join us at The Schlafly Tap Room, Schlafly Bottleworks, Schlafly Bankside and Schlafly Highland Square, as well as on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Build Your Beer Knowledge With The Gift Of A Monthly Subscription Tasting Journey.
It's a huge, intricate world of craft beer that is never really static. From rich stouts to crisp lagers, fruity sours to hoppy there's always something new and exciting to discover. However, the many different beer styles and flavors are somewhat overwhelming unless you determine with precision where you need to go. This is where a monthly craft beer subscription can turn each session of beer drinking into an interesting experience in taste testing. In addition, a subscription to one of the beer subscription Ontario services will broaden your palate, enhance your beer knowledge, and allow you to enjoy professionally curated selections of Ontario's best brews right at your doorstep.
Tumblr media
Monthly Craft Beer Subscription
Discover the diversity of Ontario's craft beer scene.
Ontario is thirsty for craft beer; from hundreds of various breweries, each with its twisting that makes its beers unique. A monthly subscription to craft beer will expose you to this diversity; it showcases beers from well-recognized breweries down to the hidden gems you perhaps wouldn't find on your typical local store shelves.
With each delivery, you will get the opportunity to taste different styles, ingredients, and brewing methods that use ingenuity and craftsmanship worthy of Ontario's artisan brewers.
From the hazy, tropical flavors of a New England IPA to the chocolate and coffee notes in a barrel-aged stout, to a light and refreshing wheat beer perfect for summer, a Beer Subscription Ontario service provides an ever-changing lineup of brews that reflect the rich variety of the province's craft beer culture. This is not just about drinking beer; it's about the art and passion that come with every bottle or can.
Enhancing One's Beer Knowledge-One Sip at a Time
Probably the single greatest benefit of a monthly craft beer subscription is the exploration of and deepening interest in different beer styles. Normally, each beer package includes extensive tasting notes, brewing information, and even sometimes food pairing suggestions that make each tasting a sort of academic exercise for your palate.
With every sip of each beer, you find yourself familiar with the major flavor profiles, understand how different hops and malts influence the flavor and appreciate the subtle nuances that will make one style different from another. You could deduce how specific hops can lend an identifiable aroma to a beer; for instance, pine, citrus, or floral notes. Or how the malt bill will determine body, sweetness, and color. This will give you, over time, the sense of what exactly you enjoy in the beer and will further refine your taste, making the next and each future choice even more enjoyable.
Perfectly suited for conducted tastings and social learning.
One of the highlights of signing up for a beer subscription Ontario service has to be sharing the experience with friends and family. Host guided tastings at home using your monthly craft beer subscription as a way to explore new beers together while growing your collective knowledge.
Encourage each guest to comment on the aroma, taste, and mouthfeel of each beer; notice how opinions differ. This can spur wonderfully energetic and spirited discussions about the depth of craft beers.
The good thing about many of the beer subscriptions is that they not only introduce you to the beers but also give you quite detailed information with regards to the breweries themselves. You know all about their stories, philosophies, and people behind the beers, adding another layer to your journey of tasting. This further helps connect you with the brewers and their creative processes. This means you have a personal guide through the craft beer scene in Ontario, amplifying the taste of each sip.
Support Local Breweries and Expand Your Bounds
With the Ontario Craft Beer of the Month Club subscription, you're not only expanding your knowledge of beers but also supporting the local craft beer industry. Most of these small breweries rely on direct sales and word of mouth to thrive, and your subscription helps them continue to innovate and grow.
A beer subscription does this and pushes you to try a few styles out of your comfort zone, expanding your horizon and challenging your taste buds. It's the best way to discover new favorites without taking on a whole lot of risk and develop an all-rounded palate that enjoys the full spectrum of what craft beer has to offer.

Beer Subscription Ontario
Conclusion
Aside from being a convenient way to enjoy great beers, a month-to-month beer subscription in Ontario is further education per each delivery. That sets you up very well to get more familiar with the diverse offerings different Ontario craft breweries have and will develop your insights on beers every passing month. You will have a deep knowledge of beer style, improve in tasting skills, and create memories, especially with friends and family. Why not begin this adventure in tasting? Living day by day in Toronto, with a beer Ontario subscription service, is an ongoing opportunity to learn about, savor, and celebrate the fun world of craft beers each month.

Kompaan Meet the Levensgenieter Joyful NE IPA (Picked up a de Bierkoning in Amsterdam). A 3 of 4. A solid, simple, lower ABV IPA with a nice hazy and slightly thick body. Mostly tropical fruit in the nose, although a bit light. Not a bad session IPA.

SEE THE WIND / Session NEIPA / 5% ABV Irish folklore holds the pig and the goat in high regard. It tells us that they have a unique ability to see the wind and to accurately predict the weather. We like to think they would see and feel the same hope in the spring air that we feel. We’ll raise a glass in hopes that this weather, and the optimism it summons from us all – are here to stay. This Session New England IPA checks in at 5% ABV. Dry hopped with Galaxy and Kohatu hops, it is light and hazy with big guava notes accompanied by the taste of peach ring candies. Available on draft and in cans to go. Sláinte! 🐐 https://bit.ly/3x1W7ni

Today’s side by side by side was the All Day series from Founders Brewing out of Grand Rapids, MI. First up was All Day Chill Day, a session cold IPA. Hints of citrus & floral notes with a strong bitterness on the finish. Next was All Day Haze, a session Hazy IPA. More of a hop presence but smoother all in all, still fairly bitter on the finish. Last up was All Day IPA, a session IPA & the only one I had had before. I liked it better than I remember it. All in all these were all good but not great IPA’s but I can see going through a few of these on a warm summers evening.
