fun fact about me I went to the beach today at night like at 6-8 pm and all I did was sit there in the freezing cold water for 1 hour and 30 minutes while talking to myself about how everything that I saw was a Hawaii part Ii reference this is not a joke this is not hyperbole this is not in any way a tumble fake story or an extreme exaggeration I actually spent exactly 1 hour and 30 minutes talking to myself in ice cold water saying that literally everything was a Hawaii part i reference while shivering and constantly getting hit by the ridiculously strong waves I’m still shivering 2 hours later I actually wish I was joking

Listened to hawaii part ii on vinyl again and seeing visions

i made this a couple months ago :) bit of an interpretation of the beginning of hawaii pt ii (isle unto thyself, black rainbows, white ball) also an experiment in drawing silhouettes/ posing

i’m gonna talk more abt when i got the idea bc i think it’s a fun little story: i was taking the second part of the last exam of my high school career and it literally didn’t matter if i passed or failed, so i wasn’t doing shit on it and i started drawing. my teacher walked past as i was sketching the big lines for the rainbow part and she gave me a little look and asked if i was okay and gave me a little pep talk abt the exam and how i was going to do fine. i wrote 2 words on that exam and they were ‘be disappointed’ and then i cried a little bit and took a nap. still love that teacher and feel a little bad abt it but i couldn’t make words happen in my brain and it didn’t matter anyway

i still don’t know the score i got on the exam and i did actually do the 1st part bc it had interesting creative writing prompts and i made a little tragic gay story. scores come out august 10 if i remember maybe i’ll update this with what i got :)

Jongho should have known.

The moment his members met her, he should have known that they would take it too far.

It started off small. She’d get random texts from Wooyoung asking, “Are you feeding him properly? He gets cranky if he doesn’t eat.”

Then San started sending her videos of Jongho singing with captions like “Your man is talented, you’re welcome”.

But things escalated when Seonghwa personally invited her over for dinner.

“You don’t have to do this,” Jongho muttered as she stood outside their dorm.

“I want to,” she reassured him, grinning. “They’re fun.”

Jongho just sighed, mentally preparing himself for whatever nonsense was about to unfold.

The moment she stepped inside, chaos erupted.

“You’re finally here!!”

Wooyoung practically tackled her in a hug. “We missed you!”

“You saw me last week,” she laughed.

“Too long,” Yunho declared dramatically, pulling you into a side hug.

Jongho crossed his arms. “She’s my girlfriend, not yours.”

“Are you sure?” Yeosang deadpanned. “We might like her more.”

Jongho scowled. She just patted his arm.

Dinner was surprisingly peaceful—at first. Seonghwa had cooked, and everyone was on their best behavior… until Mingi leaned forward, setting down his chopsticks.

“So,” he began. “When are you two getting married?”

She nearly choked.

Jongho did choke. “WHAT?!”

San nodded thoughtfully. “Good question. Do you want a spring wedding? Fall is also nice.”

“Guys—”

“You should have a destination wedding,” Wooyoung suggested, already invested. “Hawaii? Greece?”

“STOP,” Jongho begged, face burning.

 However, she was thoroughly entertained. “Hmm, I do like Greece.”

The room exploded.

“OH MY GOD, IT’S HAPPENING.”

“LOOK AT RINGS WITH US.”

“I’M GONNA CRY.”

Jongho groaned, dropping his head onto the table as his members fully planned their wedding.

She just smiled at him, squeezing his hand under the table.

If he was stuck with these chaotic men forever, at least he had her to suffer with him.

His members weren’t just close to her now—they were trying to steal her.

It had been a few weeks since the Great Wedding Debate (which, to his horror, had resulted in a shared Pinterest board Wooyoung had made for their “future venue aesthetic”), and things had only gotten worse.

At first, it was just them texting her for “updates” on Jongho, which was already ridiculous.

Wooyoung: Has he been drinking enough water? He’s stubborn.San: Tell him to stop pretending he doesn’t like hugs.Yunho: Does he smile more with you than with us? Be honest.

But then? Then they started inviting her places—without him.

Jongho scowled as he stood in the dorm, arms crossed, watching her slip on her jacket. “Why are you going out with them?”

She gave him an amused look. “Because they invited me?”

“To lunch?”

“Yes.”

“Without me?”

“Yep.”

Jongho turned toward his members, who were suspiciously avoiding his gaze. “Really?”

“What?” San blinked innocently. “Can’t we just hang out with our friend?”

“Yeah,” Wooyoung smirked. “We love her.”

Jongho glared. “She’s my girlfriend.”

“She’s our family,” Yunho corrected.

Seonghwa patted Jongho’s shoulder. “Get used to it, kid. You’re dating one of us now.”

Jongho groaned as she tried (and failed) to hide her laughter.

“I’ll be back soon,” she reassured, pecking his cheek before heading for the door.

The second she was gone, Jongho turned to his members, voice dangerously low.

“I hope you all choke on your food.”

They just cackled.

Because Jongho might have been her boyfriend…

But at this point? You were a part of their chaotic family.

Hot take: the Mind, the Soul, and the Heart are too babyfied.... a lot of people seem to glaze over the metaphors and meaning behind the album and their story. The lyrical choices, the metaphors in the music videos, the correlation to Hawaii: Part II and Tally Hall. There's a lot to unpack there, and they're not uwu twinks.... as much as I do love to draw some silly art every now and then. Anyway, I feel like more people should talk about and lean into the more poetic and tragic nature of the album..... Guys Chonny Jash is freaking ripped btw more people should draw them all super buff (joking) guys this is my second day on tumblr I love sharing opinions this is fuckin baller

Dream Sweet in Sea Major

🎵 A siren sounds like the goddess who

Promises endless apologies of paradise

So things are different tonight 🎵

After listening to this song multiple times and doing some research about the meaning behind the song, I decided to stick to one theory about a sailor getting charmed by a siren.

So, I drew the scene.

What I learned through my research of the song is, apparently, the entire album tells one whole story. I highly recommend listening to the playlist: "Hawaii: Part II".

Anyway, I know I said that I wanted to draw more spooky things this month. However, something tragic happened that made this entire month depressing. To make things worse, tomorrow (31 October) is my birthday. So I forced myself to draw something to mark the occasion. 🕊

May I please learn about your Precure Fanseries?

So sorry to both of you askers for taking so long to answer!! I wanted to wait until I fully designed all the main characters and also made a new blog for my magical girl art (I think it's good to start to separate my fandoms a bit)

Anyways!! I currently have two fanseries in development but I'm focusing first on the older one, which I started around 2020 but abandoned for a while... Mostly because I stopped being into the inspiration

But! Late 2024, I got back into it, got very into something else and mashed that together. Back when I first created the fanseries I still wasn't used to writing or really developing a whole plot, so I made sure to do both before I really started the art and talking about the series. And I'm very happy with what I have now! My fanseries is titled

Fly! PreCure Starset☆

And the name gives it away- this fanseries is based on the band Starset and (very very) loosely based on the extended lore of the band. It's a very weird idea, especially since I got really into Hawaii Part ii and just mashed that in there too, but hey, what's the point of a fanseries if I can't go crazy? It's content for precisely one person and that's me

So to get to the questions:

It's a space and music theme! Not separately, the two are connected and are both the primary theme (mostly so there's no overlap with Star Twinkle)

Their colors - it originally followed the pink-blue-yellow formula but I kind of got self conscious about that, so the yellow was changed to white, I think it fits her better. And for the last question, I might just introduce the girls themselves

Zohar is the lead pink, and she like every character changed quite a bit. The basics are the same; she's very shy, quiet unless crying or stressed, and at the start of the series gets transported from Modi'in to America, meaning she's a fish out of water. Her Cure personality changed a lot - I ended up going with the gimmick that every girl changes a lot when she transforms, but Zohar has the biggest change. Her Cure form is bright, heroic, very brave and a lot more energetic. However, because of this she actually has a hard time bringing herself to transform, because she's so different, and she feels like she isn't fit to be a Cure

Also- each cure is based on a part of space and a music genre! Everglow's is shooting stars and Israeli rock

The second Cure who's probably second most different, because originally she really didn't have much of a personality beyond "airhead". And that part sticks! Aurora is very airheaded, very loud and energetic, a mix of Cure Sparkle and the typical pink personality with just a bit of arrogant edge. She also got a very significant development when I decided she would be a baker too- specifically a chocolate maker! It fits very well with her new personality, and also acts as a way for me to input some of my own sweets making knowledge in the show. It was something I decided to make sure the cast doesn't get repetitive; they don't all have music related goals

Halo represents the sun and her music genre is bubblegum pop

Luna is the character that has changed the most. She was very shallow originally, just a moody goth. I went away from that personality because it's very stereotypical, and her design especially got revamped since I wanted to portray accurate hair. Luna now is still a bit moody, but she's got more to her. She closes herself off from others because she's scared of getting hurt again, but once Zohar and Aurora prove themselves she becomes very close to them, especially Aurora. Her arc also involves her struggling with her parents' divorce, which is a conflict that to my memory was never addressed in PreCure. It's part of why she starts very distant

Satellite represents the sky and her music genre is punk rock

And finally...

The fairies and the helper character! (Think a mix of Laura before she becomes a Cure and Satoru)

They've been part of the story since the beginning, and have stayed pretty consistent

Major and Minor are the fairies who transport Zohar to America and who give the typical exposition to the Cures. However, they don't actually talk. Their "talking" is a melody in either major or minor notes, and only the Cures can understand it. Normal people also can't see them. Just like the association of the music notes, Major is upbeat and excitable while Minor is mellow and more serious. What's interesting though, is that they're not the ones who give the Cures their powers — Simon is. Why he has those powers is a mystery, but it's through him that Zohar, Aurora and Luna get their powers

He is more similar in personality to Laura, although way less excitable. Before the story starts he has never had friends which means a lot of the story is just about the team learning to get along. He acts as the down to earth voice of reason of the group, and also the one who collects the magic energy that the monsters steal, like Laura.

And that's all I have so far, at least until I start publishing the story! I'm very happy with what I have so far and I hope others enjoy it too!

Fate Of The Stars - A Hawaii Part ii Tribute

This is a small writing project that I'm working on- to design and plan out a Hawaii Part ii fangame. Now, will I actually code it? Probably not, but I can't get the idea out of my head so I'm writing it out anyways! So far I only have the first part, and I will post more with each part.

The game follows Simon in the last moments of his life, recalling and reliving his time during the album. If I ever do make it, it would follow more as a visual novel than an actual video game for most of the story, but there would be some more interactive elements.

PART 1: INTRODUCTION TO THE SNOW:

-the gentle lapping of the waves can be heard.-  The lukewarm water covered his body. Bubbles floated out of his mouth. There was no attempt to swim up. He could, but why should he? There was no need to. For the first time in who-knows-how-long, he was alive. Tonight, he would live forever. A million years in each second without any of the pain he had felt before. Each moment stored in crystal shards to make the ocean glow. Each hue to reunite two into one. A full moon to share a dance upon.   -The moon glowed bright tonight, if only he could share it with someone.- At that moment, he had no one. Soon though, he wouldn’t be alone.   -Above him, the symbol of his love glows, the most special star, the guide of his past. His arm weakly reached out for it.-   If he could reach any farther, maybe he could catch it. Maybe he could reach her. He was almost there, his fingertips–if only they would stretch any further, if only… -Then it shattered. The star split into nine pieces, falling into the sea around him.- He could still fix it, even if she was shattered into a million pieces. He just had to swim. His body was weakening, and while not fully lucid, a small part of him knew he was dancing on the edge of death. He started to swim towards the first shard, fighting the burn in his lungs. -As his fingertips touched the glistening shard, the entire sea glows a blindingly bright white.- He feels a breeze, despite being underwater, and lets it carry him away.  [minimal gameplay: you control Simon and swim towards (any would work) a shard , but that’s all. Everything else is just part of a cutscene]
