hi my friends! hope you're all doing well. just wanted to come on here and share a little updates w you guys (if you're still here lol)

i guess it's been like a month n a half since i formally went on hiatus, and it's been nice! i got kinda sick for a little bit lmfaooo which was tough to manage w school, but i'm better now

although i took time away from my blog, i still delved in writing here n there. i haven't written anything for kickoff since tbh i'm in such a slump w it. but i still have big plans for stuff that happens after ch13, so hopefully i can just push through this next chapter and get to a better place. thanks so much to anyone that is still interested in the story, it means a lot to me. i know i'm so slow w updates and the story has been going on for almost a year now, but the continued support is so sweet! even though i didn't work on writing it these past one n a half months, i still really love it and plan to finish it.

i'm not sure if many people remember that i had this sort of "apocalypse" gojo x reader au about an asteroid being set to hit the earth in three days, and reader n gojo are ex lovers n the impending end of the world makes them break no-contact...yeah i finished writing the first chapter for it and i really love it so far! it's like set in new york which is really fun haha i love stories where new york is kind of its own "character" if that makes sense...it will definitely be a limited series w only 4 chapters or so, but i kinda wanna finish all 4 chapters before i start posting it bc i don't want it to be a drawn out series in terms of posting since i think it'd be best enjoyed in frequent succession if that makes sense

as for ihm, i think i wrote the most for ihm during my hiatus. i finished three chapters for it, but they are shorter chapters (around 3-4k words). i kinda realized one of my biggest reasons for burnout w my fics were the reaaaaallly long chapters...like didn't i have a 22k chapter for kickoff or sumn lol. idk i can't remember. but anyways, yeah the mindset behind the longer chapters was bc i liked each chapter to kinda have its own conflict, build up, tension then resolution in a sense. but it was exhausting to write that way tbh lol. so i think moving forward, for ihm, i will have shorter chapters. i just don't wanna think to much about things anymore, and write from my heart, bc i have a lot of things planned for ihm, and among the criticism i've received for my writing choices vs my own vision for the story, i've realized during my hiatus that the only way i can finish ihm, or any of my storeis for that matter, is if i just.........stop giving a fuck about it. lol idk if that sounds strange to say, but like, i don't want to over-edit anything. i don't want to think too much about redundancy. i don't want to flower things up or cut stuff out. i'm at the point where imma just write a first draft, check for grammarly errors, and then post it. i guess the reason i'm sharing this is because idk if this means that people may enjoy my writing less since i will admittedly be spending much less time on it than i did before, but tbh i realized i find the most joy while i'm writing, and not while i'm editing. so i want to spend as little time on the latter as possible, and if that changes the quality of my work, then so be it.

anyways, hmm as for hiatus. i guess i'm off hiatus now? i really enjoyed being off of tumblr tbh this app has a lot of questionable content at times (esp in jjk community) and it also did wonders for my studying bc i wasn't spending time doomscrolling or shit posting anymore lmfaooo. but as for writing in particular, i think i will start to post ihm again exclusively. i can't say anything about kickoff or my other projects, but i feel comfortable to start posting ihm again.

sorry, i know that i have kept my replies and ask box off for a long time. but i will open them again once i start posting chapters because i really miss interacting with you guys.

anywho, these are my updates lol i'm like not sure how many of my readers are still here or which ones have moved on but that's ok, i'm grateful to anyone n everyone. hope to see you all soon again!

people tend to be drawn to things that feels familiar, in this case problems attract problems

since I wrote before that Coulson would make K attend high school, even tho she is drop out, to make her normalize bit and feel like regular teen for moment, I thought about that she probably would avoid ultimates at first, she wouldn’t know them that well nor trust them so it kinda makes sense but also she would have completely different approach to school than they do

she would start skipping classes on very fist day and meet Harry… they wouldn’t be friends from the start bc they are both pretty withdrawn, but naturally over time they would be drawn to each other, but not in romantic way but platonically, as I said problems attract problems, f-ed up people attract f-ed up people

they would do lot of problematic stuff together, but in a way it would benefit them a little bc they would finally have someone close to them… Peter would lose it when he finds out they are hanging out together, his former best friend, with whom he still hasn’t made up and “ticking time bomb” as he likes to call her being friends? that won’t be good at all…

when K and Harry become closer she would sometimes ask him what happened between him and Peter and Harry would just make something up bc he can’t tell her truth about the whole venom thing… and also he would ask her how she knows Peter and ultimates and she would lie about it too… I kinda think they both would suspect each other and after while kinda figure out the truth about those secrets

even tho K isn’t very nice person, especially to Peter, she would sometimes mention him in front of Harry, in some way… she would subtly try to make him want to talk to Peter and maybe make up finally

okay disjointed thoughts about the wicked movie 1 day after watching it lets go

-first of all, my movie theater put speakers outside and was just blasting the entire soundtrack on repeat. we could hear it down the street as we were driving up. that's just simply insane

-the opening establishing shots of the land were great but honestly. the very clearly animated dorothy and gang really annoyed me lmfao like I'm sorry it cannot have possibly been too hard to get a few extras to stand in front of a screen for point 5 seconds lol. it was so fast that I Know I'm being dramatic about it but they looked more cartoon than the flying monkey's did

-baby elphie and baby nessa are the cutest things I've ever seen in my life...

-I kinda...like the more human/animal hybrids that the stage show and the original movie had. sorry. like I Get they were only like that bc you can't make a real life goat sing and dance but they're just more interesting to look at than normal-looking animals who happen to talk!

-jeff goldblum's face being hidden every time he had a dance number...I have a sneaking suspicion that he wasn't really dancing lmfao

-whoever decided to bleach ariana's eyebrows deserves jail time

-when jonathan bailey first showed up on screen my mother leaned over to me and whispered 'he's HANDSOME...'

-when cynthia finished the 'wizard and I' I had to actually stop myself from applauding. it felt so weird and rude for there to be dead silence after that performance my GOD.

-also omg the part where she's singing about the wizard de-green-ifying her and the colors in the suncatchers were canceling out the green so she looked normal....inspired!

-madame morrible had these HUGE crystal ball looking rings and I just want them so much lmao

-glinda's friends were really funny the bit were she was like 'I need to lie down' and they immediately picked her up like a plank of wood and carried her off while the one was screaming 'WE NEED A PASTRY!!! IT'S AN EMERGENCY WE NEED A PASTRY!!!' had me cackling

-I wish there was more time between them moving in and 'what is this feeling' starting? like I wanted more time to see them bickering and then also more time seeing them getting along after the ball??

-'dancing through life' was BEAUTIFUL however two complaints 1) why would they cut the line 'what's the most swankified place around?' I Quote That Often and 2) at the end when glinda and elphie dance together like...it's beautiful and everything but from what I remember after their solo moment fieryo joins them?? and they have a cute three way dance moment??? and I'm very pro "they're all in love with each other" so I missed that lol

-also just in general would of liked to see more of fieryo with the girls! like it felt like ball->lion cub->emerald city, in the course of a couple days, and idk I just feel like they could have slowed it down a bit?? especially since they broke it into two movies?? like I don't think that Actually all happened in the span of a week, but they didn't do a good enough job establishing how much time was passing so it Felt like it. which is dumb bc then it just doesn't seem realistic that elphie and glinda are THAT attached to each other by defying gravity like it feels like not enough time has passed for them to really know each other

-boq felt very mild tbh I know ethan can be more unhinged than that

-would've liked to see glinda in magic class!!

-I was a little underwhelmed by elphaba's costumes? like there were clearly patterns on the material but it was all the same shade of black so you couldn't make anything out. it felt a bit flat. and I love the idea behind the freckles I agree with freckles I am pro freckles HOWEVER her's looked very obviously drawn on. like, I have seen way more realistic fake freckles before. so that was a bit annoying

-other than the lunchmeat dress glinda's costumes were good! especially loved the flower shaped one she wore to the ball

-the whole trying to escape in the hot air ballon scene was cool as hell but as the flaming remains of it fell to the ground I couldn't help but be like wow...she really just killed all those guards huh!

-also lmfao the bit in the woods with the lion club and fieryo has like a scratch on his temple. genuinely thought to myself 'is that his lobotomy scar' lmfao

-still trying to get over the part in dancing through life where people were dancing on the spinning gears in the clock tower...bitch

-the flying monkeys were correctly horrifying

-when I saw the broomstick I was like 'won't that be really uncomfortable between your legs' but then she just held it next to her like they do in the stage show and I was like....okay I guess you win that one? lmfao like I don't mind it for when she's hovering but when they had her like supersonic zooming on the broom it was weird that she wasn't actually riding it

-overall I just don't understand how it's an adaptation of act 1 but it's the length of the entire stage show?? lmao like I wish they took advantage of the split and added so much more but really really it was still just such a solid great movie. 5 stars. I can't keep talking about it right now I'm gonna start screaming.

the ‘tism is hitting extra hard today so here are my personal ratings of disney’s merida designs (and some others).

merida concept art (matt nolte’s):

10/10 she’s iconic, love her so much. her hair and poses are so dynamic! they said that they wanted the audience to tell that she was athletic and sporty by looking at her design.

brave outfit (2012):

9/10 the original! it’s a basic outfit but i get it, our girl is a tomboy princess (and the creators said that she made her own dress to be more comfy while shooting, nice detail!).

Princess Glitter (official disney princess design) (2013):

it’s so bad, i wanna give you a zero, but that’s not possible, so i give you a 1/10. simply awful, disney should give scotland an apology for this. why did they sexualize her so much??? and her eyes are like an empty shell. she’s kinda scary tbh (this redesign caused a TON of backlash, someday i will talk about all the drama).

coronation outfit (redesign) (2013):

3.5/10 it’s the same dress and model, but they covered it by adding a cape and changing her pose. it’s deff better, she appears to have more personality than the first one, but the glitter and the yassified model had to go.

Dream Big Princess (re-redesign) (2015):

6/10 they finally tried to fix her, but were too scared to fuck up again so basicaly they ended up copy pasting the original movie model and gave her more accessories and details to the dress. i like it far better than the last ones, but when she’s on the princess lineup she looks out of place, which was the reason they changed her design in the first place! i also feel like her hair should be more messy. Love that they gave her back her bow tho.

2017-ish design

7/10 a slight improvement. i like the movement and that her dress is a lighter color, but she still looks out of place, specially because she is the only one in the lineup drawn with a different perspective, weird.

Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018)

7/10, i like that they committed to the messy hair, it gives her more personality, and her pijamas are very in character for her. the only thing that bothers me is her face, obviously all the princesses had to be drawn in the same style, but they didn’t know how to keep her face shape oval so they gave her HUGE cheeks. she looks like a chipmunk, it’s like they don’t even fit of her face anymore.

Ultimate Princess Celebration (early 2020’s) design:

6/10 the whole idea with this redesign was to make the characters outfits closer to their movie outfits, but in her case i feel like her original outfit is far too simple to fit with the “disney princess” vibe, they should have kept some of the details they changed. also, in the first photo, her curls look awful and her face is weird, idk how to explain it, i think they were inspired by it's chipmunk predecesor.

Disney Mirrorverse design (2022):

10/10 LOVE HER, finally someone was brave enough to draw her with muscles. the outfit is amazing, i love the kilt, the hairstyle and the boots, THE CAPE???. also, her bow looks super cool. i have no notes.

Create Your World design (2025):

7.5/10 her hair is much better and her face is normal again. somehow i feel that she doesn’t feel as out of place in the lineup, maybe they made her eyes bigger, i’m not sure. still miss the details, and she looks a bit pale, not in a skintone way but in a sickly way.

miscellaneous:

4/10 this feels mean, she has the worst design out of all of them, it’s not even close, AND they hid her alone in the back. you guys see what i mean when i say that she looks out of place still?

7/10 i actually really like these designs and the dresses are cute. they remind me of a paper doll, one of those you can change the paper outfits by putting them on top of a base model. i feel like this was what disney should’ve gone with when they wanted to redesign her back in 2013, a bit more femme and in a style that doesn’t clash with the other princesses, but without sexualizing her and taking away her personality.

Recently saw a YT short that gave me a new idea… it’s a different kind of “self aware” ask. What if the boys in game aren’t self aware… but your drawings of them are? I love all of your content! Just wanted to say that Vinny is such an underrated character and I miss him. Evan is cool but I feel like people also forget that in the mining town four iteration, Vinny was also a “creepy” kid. I kinda head cannon that Vinny (in all iterations) is also a little morbid, even if it’s just morbid curiosity about small things like taxidermy and such.

HIAHAIAHSIAUZUSHZH PLEASE OMH I LITERALLY THINK THIS TOO. Vinnie has always been creepy throughout the whole series, and honestly it's one of my FAVORITE things about him. like a person is dead and he sees their body the first thing his brain tells him to do is to pull out his camera and film it. THE MOMENT someone dies he's almost wayyyyy to eager to share it with the viewers.

He's always had a thing for creepy things and he's even SUPER obsessed with zombies (like Evan and Jeff as well)

Honestly I really can see him being a taxidermy kind of guy, I feel like he'd find beauty in it, like he finds that he's preserving a life, he's keeping something safe. I feel like he definitely loves to collect creepy things that he finds around thrift stores and Evan would probably HATE it and tell him he's gonna get haunted or something and Vinnie would tell him he WANTS to be haunted. He would probably like ugly clown figurines and creepy dolls, he'd want to give them a better home.

Fairmount Vinnie was so happy when he was found, he was playing and having a good time while there was such a horrific display in the other room, it just continues to show that Vinnie kinda has an off switch in brain that flicks off whenever there's death involved.

Honestly Vinnie is SO Norman Bates coded to me and I cannot even begin to explain that one tbh. I JUST FEEL LIKE.... THE VIBES..... THE LYING... THE BEING GUILTY BUT NOT REALLY BEING GUILTY... it'd just be Evan instead of normans mother bc like.... he summoned habit and hung around with Evans decaying body and acted as if NOTHING WAS CHANGING.

I love Vinnie more than anything,, he's literally THE character ever. He's so morbid and into all things macabre. I mean even in the fairmount letters VINNIE LIKES HABIT. Vinnie is drawn to horrifying figures because the horror is all he really knows

HII ive been a huge fan of your art for forever and i never get tired of seeing it in my feed. you have this very specific style of design and composition (the fonts, the colors, the symbols) that scratches my brain really hard and i'd love to hear about the thoughts behind them!!!!

i'll be very honest most of my compositions just follow the triangle rule (making poses follow a triangle) and filling up the page (with text, icons, etc) and lots of going back and forth seeing whether or not smth looks good 😭 like spending literal hours on the placement of sparkles

i REALLY like using text in my art and i usually have a certain phrase or highly specific vibe where i'll then go and look for a quote that'll fit that vibe and i'll usually place it somewhere midway through lineart

i kind of use the same few fonts and i think its pretty noticeable (kozuka mincho std h, hanmingwang mainly) but its mainly bc i can use it for both chinese and english words, i think it gives off a really cool vibe to use both languages with fonts that have serifs

i also just. make shit up as i go tbh i usually draw the pose first and have to work a background around it and maybe add some sparkles to fill some more space

the ahab piece i just knew i wanted waves at her feet and the composition to feel like its at sea, with her hair mimicking oceans. once i was done rendering the fullbody i just looked up vintage ships line art for the bg and thought maybe the white circle/halo would look cool) and the outis piece i only had the half body and chibi drawn out and kinda framed everything around it

i usually pick text that's kinda on the nose references, the ahab piece's chinese text is "moby dick" and "WHITE WHALE HOLY GRAIL" is from blood and thunder about. well. captain ahab. the outis is again just more direct references, w. corp, her trailer quote, and her own name. there was some extra space in between the chibi and the halfbody i wanted to fill and originally wanted to do a train icon but it wouldn't fit in such a small space, so i decided to go for sign icons instead (thinking about it, if i didn't do the exit sign i might've done a wet floor sign or smth but i like the little detail of adding the X on the arrow leading out, giving her no exit)

i always feel something is missing from the composition so i spend a long time trying things out since i usually don't have this planned out but also backgrounds are uniquely weird because i want the characters to stick out but contrast is very important to me

i remember trying to figure out how to make the background of this piece both cohesive with the rest of the art and also make it not blend in together (so i opted to add shading to the leaves while also doing another gradient from the right corner up), the sparkles were also there to fill in space

most of my colors are just slightly more saturated vers of the character i'm drawing's canon colors and then i slap 48762793832 filters on top to make it even more saturated lawl

2024 Horror Challenge: [91/?]

Plot: Two young religious women are drawn into a game of cat-and-mouse in the house of a strange man.

Well, guess who watched another new horror movie before the year was up? lol Thankfully, this one was released with plenty of time left in 2024, so I chose to count this towards the year's challenge even though it's been technically over since Halloween. But well, horror movies don't stop releasing just because it's wintertime, and I had things to say about it. lol Anyway, I watched this yesterday and felt like letting it marniate a bit. I had hoped my work friends, who had been even more excited for it than me, had watched it too so I could compare my thoughts, but unfortunately, nope. XD So, I'm still forming my full opinion. I did enjoy it though. Especially for Hugh Grant, who killed it, playing against type but also using what he's known for in a different way as a strength, so that was very cool. He had me dying at certain parts tbh. lol The girls were wonderful as well. Sophie Thatcher has really only been exposed to me through The Boogeyman & MaXXXine (one day I'll watch Yellowjackets I promise XD) but from what I've seen, she's a very compelling actress so props to her. Chloe East is a new face to me, but I found her to be quite likeable as the more naive character of the pair. Now, Topher Grace is essentially in an almost blink-or-you'll-miss-it kinda role (just a handful of scenes in there) but felt worth worth mentioning up top since he is an established name ofc. Though I definitely had to Google it to make sure it was him cuz I was like, how had I never heard he made an appearance in this?? lol (Also, they had him looking different as well.) So, about the actual movie itself, I didn't really know what to expect going in, mostly because I only stuck to the original teaser beforehand. The overall vibe from it made me wanna stay from a full trailer because I hate when the whole plot is spoiled for me in them, and the marketing being so secretive felt so refreshing. I think it's safe to say it may not be a movie for everyone since it tackles a lot of questions about religion and ideologies, which may make some people squirm in their seats in a different way than they'd expect to be while watching a horror movie but I kinda liked that about it if I'm being honest. It's a movie that had a lot to say, which makes it feel like a more unique viewing experience for that alone. It also has some gore so horror fans who are here for that get their fix as well. Like I said, I'm still deciding where I would actually rank it among the other horrors I watched this year but I do think it'd at least be sitting somewhere in the Honorable Mentions. I don't know if it's a love situation yet but it's sticking with me for now so it's a definite like. This is one of those where I'll have to rewatch someday to decide where I really stand but I do think it was a strong movie and worth checking out. If not at least for anyone who wants to see Hugh Grant in a different light, and anyone who feels comfortable with the subjects that get tackled (it's a very dialogue heavy movie for the record)

For the unpopular opinion ask game: I kinda wish Sasha had survived instead of Martin in S1 of TMA. Like I know her VA had to leave the show or something (I think??) and we didn’t see much of her but. She’d be so fun and interesting!! I want to see more of her and Melanie interacting. How would she feel about Elias being a killer. Would she be drawn to the Eye? How would she feel about Jon’s compulsion powers? Would she be envious of them? Fearful of them? Ambivalent?? She was so fun and soso curious and I think she really has so much potential!! (It doesn’t help that Martin is also kinda. My least favorite TMA character. By several orders of magnitude lol (although I’d also be ok with Tim being sacrificed for Sasha tbh. She’s my fave of the assistants)). Idk I’ve grown really fond of her over the years I’ve been in the fandom… I miss her……

Reasoning for Neutral is that I agree with your premise that Sasha surviving could have lead to some fantastic deep dives into the character, and it would have been incredibly interesting to see where they went with her.

Reasoning for Disagree is the unstated but inevitable outcome of your request is the question "Would the ending of the show have been better if Martin had died in S1?"

In S1 Jon didn't know Martin had a crush on him. And Martin's feelings were just that, a crush. They weren't too deep- Jon was his handsome grumpy boss. Martin and Jon actually have the conversation in the final season that without all the death defying events they suffered through together, they wouldn't have been dating. Which means Martin's impact emotionally would have been about the same as Sasha's except even LESS.

Tim noticed Sasha changed. It was a huge motivator for him to feel frustration with the Archives and feel alone and unsupported. The woman he loved wasn't there, and barely gave him the time of day while she went on to "have a bf at the wax museum". Tim feeling alone drove him out of the Archives, which led them to discovering that their contracts Bound them to the Archive and into the service of the Eye.

Martin dying and being replaced? Nobody would notice. Peter Lukas chose Martin for a reason. If Martin stopped hovering around Jon with tea and trying in his own small way to flirt, Jon would have felt relieved. We wouldn't have gotten the tension driving the crew to crumble and us the audience to learn about how the Archives worked.

Even if Sasha had fulfilled Martin's other plot relevant beats, like being there for Jon (but platonically), we the audience wouldn't have learned the same things we did due to Sasha's death. And in the Eyepocalypse it's entirely reasonable to presume that Jon would have succumbed because he didn't have his "Reason".

But at the end of the day the Doyalist in me has to admit that no matter who lived or died the Rusty Quill crew would have told one banger of a story. :)

Also, rereading back JuAli's scenes together in the Kou Empire, it's really so funny how empty Judar's threats and insults towards Alibaba are.

Sure, he tried to kill him before.

He'll get all hissy like a fussy moody cat towards him. But it's not out of genuine hatred.

JuAli are true opposites in terms of their personalities, morals/ideals/world views...

In JuAli's chapters together, I think it's sexy how Judar expressed his frustrations with Alibaba's character, basically, what he perceived as Alibaba's naivety.

Like, Judar is clearly frustrated by Alibaba's whole deal, being unable to understand Alibaba or really get what's going on with him (despite Alibaba being really straightforward as a person)

Especially when he has such a childish personality and black and white morals and worldview of boxing people into Strong vs. Weak.

It's like... At that moment, he (Judar) is not ready to face that.

Alibaba is someone that he clearly sees and perceives as "weak and naive" but also challenges his world views, cuz he just... does not get Alibaba's humble nature, at all.

In the sense of being frustrated by someone's bright (dazzling) radiance.

He understands and recognizes that Alibaba draws others to him, but just can't seem to understand why. It frustrates him how he doesn't get it. And that in itself shows a form of inner curiosity, a desire to know more.

I wanted to convey that feeling in my own dialogue scripts.

Judar's insults… They don't hold true weight.

Like the insults he throws are so empty.

It's just them kissing but just gonna put a warning cuz it's kinda suggestive/sexually implicit though.

Yeah I think my moots know why I mainly post rambles on Insta and Tumblr, it's cuz I usually do long rambles for character thoughts + analysis, and Twitter's character limit is super annoying for that. I tend to post discussions cuz my friends have insightful things to say (and I feel like it flows more naturally in convo format than just to summarize what they said)

I need to talk more about my Magi faves on here (I miss them) because I had many thoughts while reading, so I just roughly drafted ideas right now. I need to write my character/ship ideas down before I forget.

Me: I actually originally wrote Judar's last line as "Show me the kind of spark that charmed Hakuryuu so much." Because Judar makes a note in Ch. 266 that Hakuryuu is charmed by Alibaba in the fan-TL :) And also the official EN TL by Viz. They still keep it (whews) but remove the 1st mention of it, "What about Alibaba charmed Hakuryuu…"

But I don't tend to reference other ships in my ship stuff since I usually focus on ships solo. Like in my AU stuff, I tend to focus on just the ship/characters itself. Like I would rather deal with my multiships in their own separate AUs, since it’s easier for me to work with. I do love AliHaku though. But I liked that line so I still tried to include it though. NGNGNNG.

JuAli's "Love-Hate" relationship is soooo interesting to me <33 They're so sen-core.

Obviously they're more complicated than that but "Love-Hate" is just to simplify it

They're Enemies to Lovers too, but very different from LimGuda (Douman/Ritsuka) obviously. But they share most of the Sen-core ship tropes I love. I think JuAli has HoroRen (SK) kinda~ish vibes.

Like y'know. Yin/Yang. Light/Darkness. Protagonist/Antagonist. Angel/Devil. Enemies to Lovers. And then JuAli also has Fire/Ice going on with them. Sen-core meow meow mf/ship strikes again. I really adore JuAli and AliHaku, heehee. It's very typical Sen-ship trope core with their Sun/Moon/Eclipse symbolism going on.

My most favourite ships are usually Opposites Attract (the good kind). There are bad Opposites Attract ships out there obviously (charas who just bicker and literally nothing else). I'm just built different though. JuAli and HoroRen just fall into my kind of rather rough and violent end of Opposites Attract ships. Twink on twink violence is their love language /lh

I love Opposites Attract ships that are also combined with any of these tropes: Narrative parallelism (Yin/Yang, Light/Darkness, Sun/Moon tropes), Protagonist x Rival/Antagonist/Opposing Figure, Apoptosis, Reconciliation of Opposites, Fated Enemies/Rivals, etc.

I feel like in the early stages of them catching feelies they’d both be really awkward around each other and constantly headbutt each other… They'd always be pretty competitive with each other, like “Casual sex implies the existence of ranked competitive sex” vibes (LMAO) but they'd warm up to each other over time.

I'm busy so Idk when I'll sketch this all out but it was based off this idea I had in my head.

Re: My Writing Ideas

Me: I don't really post my writing ideas on main cuz my dialogue scripts are more like guidelines for me to practice writing dialogue for comics, and also to help me remember my art ideas. I write down my ideas so that I don't forget them (cuz they come to me spontaneously during the day), and also so that I can hopefully turn them into comics one day 🙏

My mutuals/friends can read them though! I post them because I'm not sure when I'll get the chance to turn my ideas into art form, and because I think the dialogue scripts are interesting to read.

Also me doing this still technically counts as a form of art. Even if they're written almost like play format, it's still a form of creative writing

I've definitely gotten sm better at it like I've been refining the way I write Idate's dialogue (and other WATGBS AU charas) over time

Because when I write these scenario ideas down, I think in terms of visuals. When the ideas come to my head, I imagine and see them all visually in my head. I'm a much more visual person, so I see things through visuals, and then try to turn them into words.

I think I first started critically engaging with and analyzing media at 18 (which is a good thing, because art is a form of expression and social commentary). I think I only really got good at doing media analysis at 18+ and it refined even more at 19 - 21+

It used to be so hard for me to put my thoughts into words, but I got much better at it through practice (by doing all the thought rambles)

But I'm literally so much better at analytical writing (ie. Series and character analysis, meta) than creative writing (ie. Novel and fanfic writing), so that's why I only do dialogue scripts. It'd be interesting to try and take up fanfic writing in the future though... But it definitely won't be soon, so I'll stick to my main creative form (drawing) for now

I think something that is really initially off-putting about the whole ‘self help/selfcare’ or wholesome improvement therapy goer and positive thinker thing to a lot of people is just how false it feels to a lot of people who that just doesn’t work for. Like, to a lot of people it’s just kinda a false positivity bandaid over the deep work of a bullet hole- unattainable. But I think for at least some of us, the completely sanitised concept of ‘healthy’ that is constantly pushed as the only form of a positive way forward, it’s particularly uncomfortable because it feels like, fucking boring. Probably through experience too. Like you can try to be the perfect healthy version of yourself to the best of your capabilities, but you’ll probably feel like you’re drowning and even if you succeed for a while, like something is just missing. Like even if you got to that ideal it would be unsatisfying anyway?

Maybe it is literally just me, I don’t know, but I have found there’s definitely other ways to be ‘healthy’. I think it’s kind of a loaded term anyway but in terms of being generally content, managing things to some extent and not harming others. I had to figure out what I was getting, or trying/wanting to get, out of the unhealthy coping mechanisms or self destructive urges I had. Then try to get creative about ways I could get what I want and helping my life (or at least not hindering it) in the process. Like literally looking at pictures on tumblr has been weirdly helpful. Accepting the things I’m drawn to and separating them from being inherently unhealthy or shameful, like my mental health is great right now and I still like thinking about and seeing abandoned buildings and blood and gloom and the woods at night and implied erotic violence or whatever. Idk, basically there are lots of better ways to get the feelings that you think hold you back from being healthy if you’re a bit like me, and you should maybe try to get creative instead of trying to block it all out entirely. That doesn’t work. I don’t know what I’m talking about tbh, I’m just tired of the stereotypical wholesome positivity thing being pitched as the only good outcome when trying to make life better and ‘heal’ or whatever.
