on a lighter note, if mineta bugs you, he’ll absolutely wreck him. will literally punt that grape boy into the next stratosphere.

also!! he’s not the type to care about what you wear. if you’re wearing smth a bit more revealing, the most he’ll say is that you look hot. literally is so unbothered.

he trusts you a lot so it’s like 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

When you get into the relationship, of course he knows ur age and that you’re a few years older than him, and at first he doesn’t mention it but once ur like just a little bit closer he’s probably gonna poke fun at the fact

Because there’s nothing wrong w u being older it’s just that in all the stereotypical or general movies or shows or books it’s like the older person in the relationship is usually the like stronger or more providing person ends up being the oldest in the relationship and ur not useless in the relationship at all but he’s out there like killing ppl and raking in thousands a day at like 19 😭

If ur walking around in public and someone stares at u for a little longer or one of the ten geniuses is looking at u just casually he’ll get up in their face and b like “whaaat?! Do you know who you’re staring at? That’s your elder over there!! Show some respect!!”

He definitely sends u cringy texts like “how’s my favorite 21 year old 😍😍😍😍” and it’s clearly somewhat condescending but he means it endearingly simultaneously

If u don’t know something that he asks u he’ll raise a brow and go “really? A four year head start and u can’t tell me that 🤨” and it’s all good fun but he’s always gonna say stuff like that

And this is all unprompted, if he knows ur actually kinda like insecure for whatever reason that ur older than him, maybe bc he’s already getting cash like crazy at his age, he’ll either start making fun of u relentlessly OR if ur serious about it he’ll cut it out of course and never mention it again. He might try to make u feel better by being like “don’t worry!! Physically and mentally im probably years older than you 😘” and it doesn’t really make u feel better probably but he kind of tries

It’s honestly no big deal to him what ur age is, but if he knows u don’t like him mentioning it so much he will bc he likes to be annoying LMAO and whenever u accomplish something he’ll be like “did u see what my s/o did?! Even tho ur older than him he sees himself as the like leader of u two ?? Like he’s a really joke-y guy on the exterior but behind the scenes he is doing all the like hard stuff so u don’t have to. hi lei!! my break has officially started so i don't have to stress about school for a bit!! today i played through venti's and childe's story quest to help decide which one i wanna use my pity on and honestly i was more affected by childe's than i thought,,hes starting to form a place in my heart the whole thing made me kinda cringe and have second hand embarssment because of his lying but seeing how much he cared for his brother was so sweet,,,i have a complicated relationship with my family and seeing their dynamic made me feel a sense of yearning i guess,,i cried it about it earlier and childe provided me a sense of comfort but I wanna know more about him before i just let him be my comfort character there are requirements and rules he has to meet!! giving me comfort is a full time job!!/j i'm gonna read his wiki tonight and i'm respectfully asking you my favorite childe lover for your hcs on him- 🍰

hello bby!!! i just woke up from a nap so this may or may not have come late. anw, im glad you’re finally getting a break! venti and childe’s quests gave me different sets of feelings but those two are my favorite along w zhongli’s! childe does a lot of unjustifiable things and he’s overall, a pretty bad person but the thing about bad people is that they’re never 100% bad. there’s always some semblance of good in their hearts and that makes you connect to them in a sense. while i don’t exactly agree w his methods, childe loves his brother sm and it shows. i want someone to protect me the same way he does w his family smh.

— childe sleeps awkwardly w his useless long limbs sprawled out so there’s never enough space when sharing a bed w him.

— thats a win for him tho bc he’s the hugest cuddler teyvat has seen. without fail, whoever sleeping w him would wake up to his arm securely around their waist or their head, legs tangled loosely together.

— he sleeps the closest to the door and windows. its a safety habit of his. whoever wants to harm the people he’s closest to will have to go through him first and that’s a fact even under the blanket of slumber.

— he likes spending obnoxious amounts of money for gifts but he also makes handmade trinkets just as often. maybe woodwork? little toys or trinkets that he makes on his downtime. those trinkets always come with special little notes or letters, depending on how much free time he has.

— what i mean is it ranges from “thinking of you. love, ajax” to “the weather in liyue is cooler than normal but not nearly cold enough to compare to the weather over there. i just came back from work related duties and while camping, i made this little something for you.”

— if someone he cares about gets injured because of their clumsiness, he would tease them first before helping them. he’s a jerk but that doesn’t mean he isn’t concerned. actually, he’s the type to blow things out of proportion.

— you sprained your ankle? he’ll laugh and tease you for being so clumsy and when you start pouting and refusing his help? he’s the type to leave you behind and come back a few moments later with a wheelchair or smth as you sulk about his lack of concern. if you still refuse his help? he’ll ride the wheelchair himself and spin around acting as if he’s having the best time of his life (he is.)

— also, watch him carry you in his arms everywhere despite your embarrassment and insistence that you can walk hobble your way around.

— if someone hurt you? call an ambulance but not for him that’s a story for another time and it’s not gonna be sparkles and fairy tales.

— childe has a very high eq/emotional intelligence. partnered w his very observant nature, he knows exactly what everyone is feeling.

— expect your favorite comfort food, a bunch of comfy blankets, a mug of your favorite warm drink and all other stuff you like if you’re feeling even the slightest bit down. he’ll spoil you w everything if he’s unfortunately too busy to be there w you.

— but if he can force someone else to do his share of work and his work is not too important, then he would stay and cuddle you all day. one moment you’re laying against his chest as you read a book and the next, you’re the little spoon in bed as he peppers you w sweet words and kisses. he won’t force you to talk abt it but he will willingly lend an ear if you want to talk about it.

— if he sees that whatever troubles you is becoming bad-bad then he will gently pry it out of you for your own sake. he just wants to help as best as he could bc a frown would never belong to your pretty face.

— pls i want that. but you know what else i want?

— when childe is the one needing help, his first instinct is to hide behind a mask but if you successfully wormed your way into his heart, he’ll let you see how lonely and broken he truly is.

— cradle his head to your chest and he’ll nuzzle his head closer to you. he loves the rhythm of your heartbeat. it grounds him. run a hand through his hair and he’ll weakly whimper. don’t mention it tho or else he’ll pull away out of shame.

— after basking in your warmth and affection, childe will look up w a dopey smile and the most lovestricken eyes you could ever see. he loves too much and now, he loves you.

— he’s very open w his affection and if you reciprocate? he will protect you until the end of time and love you ever so unconditionally.

— to childe, love means one thing and that’s family. if he loves you, you’re now part of his dysfunctional family and he makes it his life’s purpose to do everything to make his family smile.

A/N: thank you babes!! Just a little warning, there are manga spoilers for kageyama!! I put a warning before it so you can skip if you want to avoid it hehe

Kageyama Tobio

Kageyama and you had kept yourselves pretty low key. You were dating casually, because you were around each other a lot during school.

You'd walk home with him from practice and to school, but it very often felt like a relationship for convenience. So the questions surprised him...

"Can I meet your family?"

He agrees, bc he wouldn't deny his partner, but he doesn't understand why?

The day comes and he brings you to his house. His sister is away at the time so it's just you, him, and his parents

Kageyama feels an undeniable amount of pressure. This is the first time his parents have met a s/o of his and they didn't even know about you before yesterday

"So why do you like Tobio?" His mother asks and he's wondering what is there for you to possibly like about him?

But you don't hesitate to answer

"He's really dedicated to volleyball..." there's a finger on your lips and he realizes how kissable they look. "And I really admire that. The first time I saw him play in a game, I was smitten." You laugh at yourself, and your mother laughs you but Kageyama's heart is pounding in his chest

You'd never said that to him

Dinner continues and you and his parents get along swimmingly. Frankly, you talk more comfortable with him than he does

Kageyama comes to the revelation that you haven't told him everything, and he shouldn't be surprised because he's never told you how he think it's cute when you space out or he likes when you put your hair up, but he's still surprised

You'd picked up on all his nuances and he had no idea

With all this information, he decided there wad one more person you needed to meet

"Come with me," he told you while he was walking you home

Never one to argue, you found yourself in a cemetery with Kageyama

He walks up to a grave, feet trained to know where it was even in the dark. "This is my grandfather," he tells you. "He's the reason I started playing volleyball."

You squeeze Kageyama's hand as you bend down to speak to the grave.

"Hello gramps! Thank you for teaching Kageyama volleyball. It makes me so happy to see him hold something so dear."

In that moment, he is sure there is something else he holds dear

He still never figured out why you wanted to meet his parents, but from that day forward your relationship became far more than casual.

Tanaka Ryuunosuke

Tanaka is super nervous when you suggest to go get dinner at the restaurant his sister works at.

He hadn't told her yet that he was dating someone, and he wasn't sure what she'd say.

But he was fairly certain she wasn't working today, so he agreed and brought you along

You walk into the restaurant hand in hand and are greeted by a loud gasping noise.

"Ryu-chan!! Is that a girl?"

You look at him dumbfounded. The tips of his ears are bright red and he won't look you in the eyes.

"Who are you?" She asks excitedly and you're slow to introduce yourself. Immediately, she fills in that she's Tanaka's older sister (and of course you should call her nee-san)

She gets a friend to cover her shift and insists the two of you come to have dinner at their house

Cue quite possible the most awkward car ride ever. Tanaka is quiet for most of it, gripping your hand tightly in embarassment. Saeko is asking you question after question, all of which you answer with haste.

By the time you get to his house, Saeko knows everything about your relationship from how he asked you out to your first kiss, and more.

When you finally do enter the house, she quickly introduces you to their parents as well.

Dinner is strange, Tanaka's parents are much more tepid than him and his sister. You chat politely with them, looking to your boyfriend occasionally

His head hangs low, thinking about how much his sister's going to tease him later that night.

"What's up Ryu-chan? Embarassed?"

His head bursts up immediately and his hand is grabbing your again.

"Of [Y/N]? Never."

The determination in his voice has your heart soaring.

On your way out, Saeko stops you.

"Take care of my brother, alright? Don't you dare go breaking his heart."

The smile you give her, showing how fully in love with him you are, is all she needs to approve of you. "I wouldn't dream of it."

Yaku Morisuke

You were caught off guard when Yaku asked you to meet his family.

"Your parents? How come?" It isn't a problem, really, you're just surprised. He asks you so shyly, as well, you wondering if he really wants to go.

"They've been asking about you since I talk about you a lot and..." he mumbles more excuses, trailing off.

He does his best to prepare for this night. He tells you all about his parents and what topics not to mention around them. He tells you what you should say to gain their favor.

He cooks your favorite food for dinner, hoping it will quell some of your nerves (who are you kidding, he's the nervous one)

Finally, he walks over to your house so he can walk you to his. You greet him with a smile, and he feels like his heart is going to burst.

You're just way too cute for him. The outfit you're wearing, the way you wring your hands together nervously. He can't handle it.

But when he realizes, maybe, you're feeling the same giddiness he is, he makes it his responsibility to calm you.

"They're going to love you," he promises. "Just as much as I do." He kisses your cheek after saying that.

So you walk together to his house, calming each other's nerves.

Finally, the grand meeting.

It's all far more mundane than either of you imagined. You greet his parents and head to their dining room, where dinner has already been cooked by your wonderful boyfriend

Dinner mostly consistens of his parents asking you questions about your interests and hobbies

"Well I've started to really like watching volleyball since going to Mori's games."

His parents are smiling huge.

He knows your perfect, and seeing you talk to them so naturally and calmly just assures him of that.

He walks you home, hand on your waist.

"Do you think they liked me?" You asked, eyes clouded with worry.

He stops you in front of your house and leaves a light peck on your lips. "They couldn't get enough of you."

He smiles. "And neither can I." Another chaste kiss and he bids you goodnight.

Quietly, he hopes you're the only person to ever meet his parents because tonight only proved that no one could ever be quite as perfect as you.

So Hyunjin’s the player 🤔 I knew a guy like that in my high school lmao, tho I’m pretty sure he did try to hookup with me and my 16 year old self was oblivious. I always realize people were flirting way after the fact :/

That being said, with both of them being pretty experienced, and Hyunjin being the way he is, I’m super interested to see how their dynamic unfolds, and who makes the first moves and all that! I feel like I have a tiny guess but it’s very likely that I’m wrong.

I’m an anon for a couple blogs including you and jl-micasea (love her sm) and it’s so fun to gush abt peoples work with them, it’s like finding out your friend has the same interests as you, and you just talk for hours abt it. I wish everyone could experience the same engagement because there are some damn good writers on here that I’ve seen go on hiatus because of it. I also seriously applaud people that both go to school/work AND write. I don’t know how y’all do it. I started drivers Ed today and I just got home and I’m ready to shut my brain off for the rest of the day. I couldn’t imagine writing for hours after, and doing it well.

I feel like sometimes with dialogue, they can have a tendency to start sounding like a kdrama? If that makes sense? Like, I love kdramas, my all time favorite is literally the cheesiest one ever, but sometimes they’re a little too cliche and I find myself guessing what they’re gonna say before they do. I’ve written before, and dialogue was one of the things I had the hardest time with, my brain always went blank when it was time to write dialogue 😭

all around, bin just seems like such good date material. easy-going, naturally charming, definitely gives off the vibes that you could just spend time with him over dinner for and evening and just vibe - and if it doesn’t click, that’s a shame but the two of you just move on 🤷‍♀️

you mentioned mica and so i immediately have to tell you all to go read “power grab” and “pleasure > business”. very spicy, very hot, and power grab has office-politics shenanigans and enemies-to-lovers vibes that i just adored.

i love getting to talk to people about kpop, oh my god. i have so many thoughts, so many groups to shout about, so many songs and mvs and awards shows. so much content to make me flail and babble about excitedly.

and if you want to talk about people balancing life and writing? ha. hAhAHa. i’m a postgrad student with two jobs. not saying hypothesis!reader is the closest i’ve come to writing about me, but that nervous explosion of just how much she has put on her plate? was, uh, was quite easy to write 👀

in the complete inverse to you, i really enjoy writing dialogue! i like the balance of what a character does say and what they don’t say. i feel like some of my best stuff has come purely from dialogue, and it’s my stuff around it that i’m attempting to work on. the big thing is just solidifying this character in your head and how they speak - what’s their sense of humour? are they really nice and try to people-please? are they super blunt and oblivious to people’s feelings? - and then it all kinda goes from there. but much practice has gone into that 🥰

sorry for disappearing but i have three cats! One of them is a black cat, the other is black and white and the other has the colouring that you’d see on a Siamese cat but we’re not totally sure of her breed since we got her from the shelter. I love all three of them sm they’re literally the most important living beings to me.

They’re so sweet too and I love how their personalities are so different. Also since quarantine I’ve bonded even more with them and the black and white one (i don’t wanna share her name rn for the sake of anonymity) will come up to me to cuddle which she didn’t used to before. Like everything they do even if it’s annoying at the time ends up being super endearing

(like sometimes they’ll wake me up chasing each other through my room at 5am bc they’re playfighting and refuse to sleep anywhere other than my room which is fine ofc but they’ll start slamming the cabinets I have in my room while doing so) and I love them sm

also same with Crazy Rich Asians (the movie) I like the book too but since I haven’t read the trilogy yet i don’t wanna state like for sure (though from the blurbs and the first book I think I’ll like the rest of the trilogy too). Like I liked it a lot when I first saw it in 2018 and then I rewatched it today and it reminded me of how much I love it as a movie.

I haven’t gotten too far into The Henna Wars yet but I really love it so far and I can’t wait to read more of it, hopefully tomorrow. Like I don’t know how to put it in words currently but I do love it a lot and I can’t wait to finish it bc it’s really awesome so far and I’m so glad I started reading it. and I think I’ll be fine w/ the trigger warnings but thank you for offering!

i really hope we’ll still get the other movies in the series -- especially china rich girlfriend, which is more centered on astrid and charlie. astrid is one of my favorite literary characters of all time! i’ve also been meaning to read kevin kwan’s new book, sex and vanity, for a while, but still haven’t gotten around to it. actually, i picked it up, read a couple pages, set my kindle down to do something else and never picked it back up again. i’m currently reading ayesha at last, which is a pride & prejudice retelling, and i think i might reread red white & royal blue with a friend? or maybe i’ll just jump right back into rereading cemetery boys as well -- i adored cemetery boys so much! it was just darling. i hope you get a chance to read more of the henna wars soon! i’d love to hear your thoughts when you’re done!

i do! my mom bakes a lot, so sometimes i’ll join her and we’ll bake together! we used to mainly do cakes, but now we’ve moved onto bread! we’ve made this one earl grey bread lately in quarantine that is simply delicious. have you picked up any quarantine hobbies? i started out quarantine strong with animal crossing & embroidery & bullet journal & all the things, but haven’t really felt inspired to be creative in that way lately -- hopefully soon!
