I hate the clarinet motif in Falsettos (you know the one) I hate it SO much I hate the piano in the background I hate the minor key with the uplifting scale I HAAAATE IT i hate how it plays at the beginning of Act II I hate how the last sung note of What Would I Do is SUPPOSED to be a major third but they change the key to make it the 5th to a minor chord and put that FUCKING CLARINET back in and I hate it I hate I it because they're reminding us that it couldn't be any other way. This is how it goes, this is our motif, this is what circles back around and this is what we knew from the start they were DOOMED BY THE NARRATIVE
