This weeks TikTok bead for Self-Titled you watched Taylor on the Eras Tour sing, I Can Do It With A Broken Heart (where she says And Nobody Even Knows) (in the video you watch she is doing the same lift as the I did Something Bad lift during rep tour. Every other dance in ICDIWABH performance at the eras tour matches other eras tour dances except the lift) the same video you watch for last weeks bead for Fearless Taylors Version. Thats 2 times we watch the same clip. (The clip was posted on 5/26 5+2+6=13) It's strange because she didn't have a sound for reputation bead, or a name on the profile frame just a snake, and there is no offical frame for Self-Titled, just certified swiftie (this could be because taylor nation is giving away tickets and they wanted a sound, but nothing is not on purpose for them) Is there no self-titled frame because a Taylors Version one could be coming?

The Self-Titled Bead lasts for 2 weeks instead of 1 like the others. And Ends on September 12th (day after the VMA's)

On the Taylor Swift Store Self-Titled and Reputation T-shirts are listed next to each other. *during the august summer sale* The 2 unreleased taylors versions albums. Both priced 33.75 3+3=6 7+5=12. A couple things 6 is reputation. 12 is December, the month of Taylor's birthday. Then 6 upside down is 9. That is 9/12. Same day the Self-Titled Bead Ends.

Only 2 other shirts are that price (33.75) on Taylor Swift .com. Midnights and Karma. Midnights is the album she announced on August 28 2022 at the VMA's. Karma is thought to be the "Lost Album" Thats 4 shirts. 4 is divisible by 2. Taylor Nation is known to use prices as hints, or referencing something like when the tickets to the Eras Tour film were 19.89 like her birth year / album.

Taylor / Taylor Nation / TikTok changed the bead's name from Debut to Self-Titled on August 28, the same day Taylor Announced Midnights 2 years ago. (They changed it to self-titled after it had been called Debut since the start of Tiktok Beads in June, which is strange why they didnt start it with Self-Titled)

Taylor Nation posted on Twiter that their sleep schedule still hasnt recovered when talking about the VMA's this year. They also said that twice in January. And sleep schedules being messed up all started at the VMA's when Midnights was announced.

The Midnights Room is right next to The Tortured Poets Department where all the clocks are set to 2, there are 2 desks etc. (The tortured poets department seems to be a mirror dimension, that Taylor shatters when she hits the 2 way mirror towards the end. Otherwise she walks the other way in the mirror dimension to sit in the department.)

The Time Table only had 2 days set for announcements, with the rest covered by a picture of Taylor Swift announcing variant's on the Eras Tour. She uses 2 exclamation points where she says "8PM ET Music Video Release!!"

There is 2 closed doors. Midnights and Tortured Poets Department. The Tortured Poets department room is NOT opened. We went through the key hole.

The photo of Taylor and Meredith is reversed. The date of release of TTPD is 4/19. If you flip the date (or read it backwards on the timetable) it is 914 or September 14. 2 days after the beads end on TikTok.

Taylor Nation made a post where they show they might have a secret account called not Meredith grey swift. With I can do it with a broken heart playing with the tag 'WHERE'S MEREDITH" which was probably the reference to the i can do it with a broken heart music video, you find her in the TTPD room.

There were 2 Doors on the Eras Tour. 1 Orange door would drop down during Karma. Then a 2nd one would drop down that was bright pink rectangle. It would drop down during the end of Karma when the dancers and Taylor Bow. Some of the dancers would walk through the pink "door" to backstage while it was glowing. Taylor would take her final bow and descend. The glowing door would move across like an elevator door and reveal the Orange Door again. And then disintegrate into sparkling dust (like the Karma music video, there is sparkling dust that comes out of the record player, that plays Self-Titled with butterflies and the dust she blows across when shes on the yellow brick road towards the hourglass, that looks like the infinity symbol. The same infinity symbol with the sparkling dust thats created on the Eras tour stage of the TTPD set when she sings Down Bad). The 2 doors only lasted for what I can find, 12 days of the Eras Tour. TS12. Her next album is 12. The door turns 3 dimensional and moves with the colors of all her albums/ the Lover Rooms Colors. Specifically the look of the blurry lights when you first enter through the peep hole to the lover house, that is closed off to the rest of the house.(we enter through the lover house by peep hole and to the ttpd room by keyhole)

The line the door comes down is the colors purple blue and white. the door is orange. Blue and white is 1989 tv. Purple and Orange are the Lost Album? (or the original colors of reputation) She posted in her fortnight video purple nails sewing something orange with pink flowers. She also has lilac skirt and orange feathers for rehearsal of I can do it with a broken heart.

The Line also reminds me of the bright Blue T that is during repuration when all the other taylors are trying to pull her down.

Taylor announces and then releases an album 2 months later. eg. Speak Now in May, released in July. If the VMA's were an option and still the original date of September 10 2 months later would be November 10. November 10 2017 rep was released. The VMA's changed from September 10th to the 11th on August 12th. Which means Taylor may have planned an announcement at the VMA's. Will she do something on September 11th or not is not known.

That would have had the beads end 2 days later, on the 12th. TS12, and then moving into the 13th week where she could have something on the 13th and 14th?

She was also wearing THIS IS NOT TAYLORS VERSION shirt on night 7. Holding up 55 - 55 is an angel number meaning Change. she also made 3 0's which could be and ellipsis. so shes Saying Change..., like ...Ready for it?.

Change x Long Live were played night 7 in London (SAME AS 55 during 22, which could mean CHANGE). Change is the 13th track and Long Live the 14th. The 13th and 14th could be possible dates if she does the 2 days later. The lights on the bracelets in the stadium started to glow green during Change. Green = reputation / her debut album according to how she lights her bracelets on the tour. Could a Change be coming? A change to the album Line Up? A Change to her announcement because of the date change of VMA's? A Change of albums to Taylors Version? "It was the night things changed"

Then she sang The Archer x You're on Your Own Kid. 2 track 5's or 55. Change.

You're On Your Own Kid talks about her life of era's, starting out in the music industry (Self-Titled Era). The Archer talks about contemplating her identity (or herself, named TAYLOR SWIFT) The Archer is also the symbol of Sagittarius. Taylors birth sign.

Florida!!! was also added to the set last night in London. The colors in the lights for the set were orange, green and white the same colors as Miami's flag. 1. Du ddu du: best raps, had a atual dance break, the hype during that era was unparalleled this was their first global hit ,basically but them on bullet proof boyscouts level

2.boombayah: the girls had one chance to prove to their company they were the new it girls and they did. lisa's rap outsold. jennies rap outserved. rose was on the sliding on the floor jisoo was a visual all was well. birthed blackpink in your era and i cannot lie "i dont need a boy i need a man" had me gobsmacked

3.So hot remix: technically is a single and not a comeback but i said i was ranking singles so get off my dick. the only reason teddy hasnt given blackpink an actual comeback like this is because he's afraid of success? i guess? has one of the least cringe english raps in their discography. like theyd actually body this. this remix came in the middle of a drought and got more streams than the original song in months. absolutley insane. hell they could probably still release it, just give jisoo lines and add a dance break omg.

4. Sour candy: technically not even blackpinks song but lets be honest it is. well its rose's really and we all know out of the 4 girls rose and lisa are the only ones really trying anymore at this point. once again if bp had a song like this they would devour. it would top the charts (deservingly) the reason its not higher on the ranking is because lady gahgah is on there, sorry ma'am

5.Playing with fire: she gave. everything. choreo was engaging, lyrics were deep. raps were slaying. everyone sounded good and this is the last time all of the members were seen trying during live stages. if bp released a song like this today blinks would cry tears of joy.

6. love sick girls: their last truly amazing song theyve put out to date basically manufactured in a lab to be a hit and it was.

7.whistle: its odd seeing whistle divorced from her sister boombayah but im gonna be honest here she has strong line distribution, good rapping but jennies vocals on the chorus never rlly hit for me. she sounds like shes straining, especially the bridge. honestly in my opinion they shouldve kept the demo version iykyk

8. Stay: i feel like people forgot about her. this is the only time bp released a slow song as a single. its very christian horsegirl music which was perfect for rose. i wonder if bp wouldve been better off releasing songs like this and their regular uptempo dance pop songs so that way they would have more depth as a group. but that would require actual effort from yg. bp has such a obvious formula for a lot of their songs that even when they try to break it it ends up more of the same *see, shutdown*

ive known for years that im probably aro, and within the last 6 months or so ive finally been like. ok yeah im definitely aro. like, you know, fully decided: yeah, thats me. but i see people posting about their partners and their crushes and i guess im jusy like. i wish that was me. only ever felt love for one person in my whole life, we dated for like 3 years & some old friends convinced me to break up with her like 8ish months ago. but i feel like anything close to romantic after that has really just been obsession, almost always an unhealthy one at that. i feel like im missing out on a universal teenage experience and it fucking sucks. but im also lile sooo terrified of love, so i dont know why im even jealous of people for having it :( i have 2 qprs and like. one of them is really just more of a close friend to me, the other one is almost romantic for me. im glad we both dont want to actually date, because i sooo cant do that after last time. but part of me is still upset because. idk. fomo or something ??? i feel like after my last relationship ended back in april i forgot how to love people like that. like ive spent yhe lasy couple of months trying to pick the pieces of my life back up. there hasnt been a point since i was like 12 that i wasnt in a relationship, so i think new im just trying to figure out how to Exist as a single person. i think thats why i so badly want another relationship, thats my normal. but idk. right now im just learning to love my friends more, and im trying to get my shit together. i like not having the inherent worries that come with a relationship, i like not having to feel like me and my partner are a sinking ship, its nice. but on the other hand, all my favorite media is full of romance, romance is everywhere i look. its im every show, every movie, every song, every book, every poem, everythinf i have ever loved. im not the same kid i was, desperate to be in a relationship, but its still something i want sometimes. im not sure if its something i should want.

2. First game you played? my first console was a ds lite so it had to be a game from that... i wanna say it was pokemon heartgold? that sounds right...

Game with the best soundtrack? this is SO hard... i love video game music very much... i can do top 3 maybe... pokemon b/w, stardew valley, the witcher 3. i would list ace attorney but i dont actually know what soundtracks go to which games because i always listen to series soundtrack compilations LOL

6. An underrated game from within the last few years? i genuinely dont think ive played anything recently released that hasnt gotten its due attention... most of the games i consider underrated are older or simply old enough to no longer get the attention they once did. if 2017 is "recent" then prey 2017. its a beautiful game with a good story and solid gameplay. i think it was overshadowed by other projects by arkane, but it still deserves attention.

10. Prefer PC or console? PC absolutely. i am much more comfortable with a mouse and keyboard than i am with a controller. that said, some games ARE significantly better played with a controller (yakuza, furi, hyper light drifter, etc)

Scariest game you've played? i tend to avoid horror games because i get little enjoyment out of being scared in a mental sense. i enjoy thrill rides and carnival games, but not thriller media, yknow? the scariest game ive ever played was prey 2017 by arkane studios because i didnt know it was a survival horror game when i bought it LOL

21. If you had to play one game for the rest of your life, what would it be? something multiplayer so i could do it with my friends and never run out of things to do. maybe ARK survival evolved, or minecraft. ive been playing overwatch since it first came out, so maybe that.

23. Favorite genre of video game? rpg or immersive sim i think. rpg because i love fantasy-scifi and those tend to come in the format of rpgs, and immersive sim because i LOVE it when you get to pick exactly how you get to accomplish your goals.

24. Ever cried because of a video game? i cant remember exactly. i probably have. the closest thing i can remember is being really emotional about the ending to yakuza 6, but i dont remember if i actually cried or not. tears of frustration, however, ABSOLUTELY.

A game you will never forget (in a bad OR good way)? borderlands 2. ive played that game so many times (of my own volition or not) that i have most of the story and quests memorized and can quote verbatim a decent number of lines if i encounter the scene theyre played it. i love the game to death, dont get me wrong, but i will likely not play it again for a looooong while.

48. A game you've always wanted to play but have never gotten to it? final fantasy and/or kingdom hearts. i read the kingdom hearts manga for a short time as a kid and was fascinated by it, but ive just never gotten around to picking any of them up.

54. A sequel you really want? a sequel to deus ex: mankind divided. i just wanna see adam jensen again... man deserves a proper ending to his story, and mankind divided was NOT it.

Hi hello! (b ᵔ▽ᵔ)b I'm aamna, 21 yr old human disaster lmao. I'm currently a university student, so usually i'm pretty busy with that. the rest of the time i just spend making gifs of stuff that i like or watching dramas.

2. How and when did you become a CHOICE?

i'm a really new choice, i started at the end of feb this year. i got to know who they were mainly because of kareena and pooja posting pictures of them in the mdzsnet discord 😂 im gonna be honest initially it was me just finding jun attractive (pooja has proof of the start of my thirsting lmao) but then i heard donghun, jun and chan's cover of someone you loved and it was so incredible, their voices and the harmonization so i listened to more of their covers before I got sucked in and listened to all their albums in one go sjfjf and here I am four months later with only having a.c.e on repeat al day hahaha.

3. What is your favourite part of being a CHOICE?

Being able to see and hear how amazing ace is. Getting to experience how loving the fandom is. Also the last two weeks?? This is my first comeback and maybe it's because idk much about comebacks in general but I dont think other groups spoil their fans so much. All the photoshoots!! And just generally too, ace gives us so much content, whether it's song covers or almost daily selfies and vlives. I love it!

4. What is your favourite A.C.E song? Do you prefer their title tracks or b-sides more?

Oh this is hard because it's hard choice between undercover and goblin. So I'll just go with both of them. The highnotes and the rap it's so nice I keep on singing them especially undercover, even though I barely know the lyrics 😂 they're extremely catchy.

5. Who’s your bias? What do you like about them?

It's Jun and Chan because right from the first cover I watched, my brain was like himmm—no himmm and it hasnt stopped since.

What's not my favourite thing? They're so funny and hot and talented and I'm only a simple human.

I wonder what happen to dean? Why hasnt he let out new music? He has been working on the 2nd part of the 130 mood series for what is going to be 4 years now he said we would get lots of music in august but really we only got that really short song for that magazine and then a song he was featured on like he promotes everyone else music but his own, i love dean but im worried that people will lose interest in him if he doesnt release music soon its been 3 years since a whole album and 2 years since instagram plus he will be leaving soon to go into the military so we will have nothing out of the whole fancy child crew dean has the least music which is really why im confused on what happen he was just getting big like instagram was a huge song and then it was like he went radio silent for the longest i hope he is okay mind and body cause sometimes dean comes off very insecure about his music and thats why i think he hasnt given us anything

I get that it can be frustrating how he keeps postponing the album but he has been making, and putting out music. whether they’re features or not, that’s his music still (also yes, 3 years since instragram, but that’s not his latest single, both dayfly and Howlin’ happened)

but you’re right, he doesn’t have a very extensive catalog when it comes to his solo material but I don’t think that’s an issue. Dean managed to establish himself as a prominent figure in the Korean music scene, and even the international one to some extent, in spite of having such a limited repertoire. he is well-respected and admired among his peers and the general public, which has been proven times and times again

even now, despite being mia for the best part of the last two years, songs he’s featured on tend to perform best out of entire albums. I’ve seen that argument being made a few times, that he might lose his following, but he’s still a top-charting artist. people show up for him, they have and I think they will in the future

now, I’ve also seen quite a few people bring up how “he always promotes other people’s music” and... well, personally I don’t understand why people take an issue with that. he has the right to promote whoever and whatever he pleases that being said, not only has Dean been friends with most of the people he promotes for 6+ years, they’re also part of you.will.knovv which is Dean’s music label so yes of course he’s going to promote them

and that’s another thing I think most people tend to overlook. Dean is the CEO of his own company, that he built from the ground up over the past 3 years. they moved into a proper office last year, they started producing clothing and jewellery that he helped designed, he has employees, like all of that takes a lot of work my point being that he has a lot on his plate, not just RVNG

I don’t know how he feels about his music. you used the word insecure, I’d be more inclined to say that he probably feels very burdened and stressed both by the standard he’s set for himself and his deadline. but that’s all conjecture, at the end of the day, I do not know. and I don’t think there’s a point in speculating

if he doesn’t want to put out music then he shouldn’t feel pressured to and that’s all that needs to be said there. Dean has been in this industry for about 8 years, I’m sure he’s very much aware of the repercussion his actions have on his career. I mean if you’re worried, think about how it must feel for him. in any case, he can make his own decisions

2: Weeekly - Tag Me (@Me)

This song sort of came out of nowhere for me. Like with a lot of other rookie groups, I had heard of them here and there before their debut, but to be honest, I wasn’t that interested. It’s kind of hard for me to get super excited for a debut before it happens anyway, because obviously I don’t have a lot to go on and can’t know what to expect, lol. I had heard that there’s a member who is a big fan of Loona and her bias is Olivia Hye and that made me sort of interested, but on the other hand I saw that they were all pretty young, with their oldest member being 19, so I wasn’t expecting to stan them. I figured I would check it out at some point, but I wasn’t gonna listen to the song a million times on the release day or anything lol.

But... oops! This song is amazing. It’s basically everything I could ever want in a song. I’ve joked that it’s kind of the successor to last year’s Picky Picky by Weki Meki (which is, incidentally, my favorite kpop song), and I think that’s kinda true lol. It even has a similar kind of repetition of a chant (hanbeon tteumyeon sugunsugun nalli naneun timeline- which reminds me of like it don’t like it love it don’t want it-). It also has a school concept, which is usually something that puts me off of a song, but it doesn’t feel like the standard “school concept”. Both Tag Me and Picky Picky are like reinventions or subversions of the tropes you would associate with that concept, and it’s refreshing. Anyway, just comparing to another song does it a disservice. When I first heard it, a week had already passed since the time it came out, I was late lol, and I thought I would just be checking out something that would make me say “Yeah that was alright I guess, idk”. I expected that I’d listen to it once or twice and move on, and it wouldn’t matter much that I was late by a week. But, I ended up regretting that I didn’t check it out immediately, because this song sorta took over my life. 

It’s so catchy. Pretty much every single part of it is catchy. There isn’t a part of this song that I don’t love. It has so much energy, it really doesn’t slow down for its entire runtime. Okay, it obviously does slow down during the bridge, but listen to the guitar in that part! It keeps the momentum really going strong, so that even when things thin out and the bridge vocals come in, there hasnt been any momentum that’s lost. Honestly I think that’s my favorite part of the song. The guitar throughout this song just sounds so crisp and clean, and the bridge really puts a spotlight on that sound. I love the way it builds back up to the final chorus too. Every bridge in every kpop song does that haha, but it’s just so masterfully done here. It’s such a well written song! Even the rap break, which can really make or break a song, is flawless. In fact that’s one of the first things that really caught my attention. Monday’s delivery of her lines is so... like, she’s not gonna be lauded as one of the best rappers in kpop or anything lol, but that section does have a lot more personality than most others in recent girl group songs. And she’s not even the group’s main rapper, she’s the main vocalist!

And if I can talk about the group itself for a second, I have to say that the number one thing that draws me to this group is their potential. They’re great dancers, their vocal line is promising, but the thing that strikes me the most... is Jiyoon. They’ve released ten songs so far, and Jiyoon has written four of them. One of the ones she wrote was My Earth, which they promoted alongside Zig Zag, and that makes me wonder if their company is setting her up to be the group’s main composer one day. They literally just debuted. You basically never see girl groups having members participate in songwriting this early in their career, especially not at the age of only 18. They’re letting Jiyoon prove herself very very very early, and I think that’s a sign of things to come. Just wait and see, keep an eye on this group lol. It’ll be interesting.

Anyway, I saw a youtube comment saying that this song is “very kpop”, which I think is a great way to look at it. Tag Me really is pretty much everything I love about kpop. It’s a much needed breath of fresh air, this whole group is. Weeekly are my pick for Rookie of the Year, and Tag Me was almost my pick for Song of the Year. I’m very excited to see what this group does in 2021, I have high expectations lol

ok i couldnt choose at all so now i have two images

but also i worked for 6+ hours on looking up bands i had seen live or used to listen to more often and i made a list with albums and singles that i have repeated / re-visited a lot or that simply mean a lot to me nd that i’d recommend to others. it was a bit hard to make bc i also love a lot of songs that are single releases with only 1-2 songs, but i don’t listen to them like you would to a longer single / mini album / full albums. i wanted to include laboum’s full length albums (two of us and low pop wow) but those sadly have the lowest production value in most of the songs so i cannot enjoy those fully. there’s also some older plastic tree albums from the 1990s that are hard to access for listeners so i can’t add those. anyway this is the full list (in progress) lol

quite ok! i slept for 9 hours thats fucking wild, idk how that happened but im grateful! did cry abt gender stuff and am a bit frustrated abt how i took so many hours to look into old albums instead of do useful stuff, but it was very fun and inspiring.

uhmmm ive been recently watching halloween-related videos by Abby Green on youtube and rly enjoy her vids on makeup and halloween films and other chitchat and her makeup looks are so cute! also im watching sabrinah the teenage witch episodes from time to time w my friend in the evenings, though we also watched more of stuff recently like goosebumps episodes and films and the griezelbus film and carrie yesterday. we also watch a bunch of other shows but im not too entertained by them, i just find it hard to look away hjfdkhg

4. If you are in some kind of quarantine/self-isolation, what do you hope to achieve in this time?

uh i dont know? my country has never had a real full lockdown but i of c do try to limit going outside aside from working hours, though life hasnt been much different from pre-pandemic as i rarely do fun stuff anyway. i was always inside at home for most of the time but i dont do super exciting stuff here too bc i’ve probably never gotten out of my burnout i got in 2013. i did recently watch stuff together w friends online like watch bts stuff or try to dance together but everyone is either busy or has shitty connection nd it just didnt rly work.

i mean i do want to help better my mental health through CGT and giving myself more structure nd being stricter w bedtime. i rly hope my mental health will get better but idk if i can bc the CGT appointments are 12 in total and after that the therapy stops. it rly sucks but i accepted the offer as i otherwise would be on another waiting list elsewhere too and at the previous place i had therapy for several years, i kept getting new therapists regularly too bc of stuff like their contracts ending or pregancy so i guess im used to not being able to see a therapist for a long time. so idk.

i want to get better mental health and better concentration. i also just need to get a stupid fucking job bc while i dont want to work at all, i have to to be able to live and i need a reason to get out of bed every day to go somewhere so i would have more structure and be less depressed. i mean i could say i want to draw more and dance and read more but ive been saying that for years and i still rarely do it bc im so demotivated nd have worsened focus for years and my special interests are all over the place so i never think about getting stuff done while i really should.

good things today

1. good coffee (this is worth mentioning because for a while i was making the worst coffee and i don’t know why. i just wasn’t getting it right and it was making me so annoyed lmao.)

2. we had homemade orange chicken for dinner which i haven’t made in a while because i don’t really like frying chicken, and it’s hot as hell, so that doesn’t help but it’s so good so i just did it and it came out amazing. 

3. julia told me “I love you mother” before bed tonight which was hilarious and cute. sometimes she calls me mother and idk why but it’s just so freaking funny.

4. she also sang her little “i love my family” song before bed which is also too cute to handle. esp considering it was not the best day for any of us. glad she still loves us on our tough days. not being able to go outside so far this week has been rough. hopefully tomorrow.

5. i wrote so much today! during nap, i spent the entire hour and a half editing and adding in some scenes and i’m just feeling so great about it right now. it makes me so happy to have something on the side to do that’s just for me.

6. had a good call with julias early intervention nurse. since march our visits have had to be over the phone which is kind of useless to julia, thankfully she hasnt really *needed* early intervention since she turned 2 but she has a qualifying diagnosis so she was eligible to keep it until she turns 3 so i opted for that because you never know. and i really love her nurse and the relationship they have/had. the phone visits have honestly been more so for me, and its been nice to have some other adult to talk to even though all we tend to do is vent about quarantine and the state of the world but it’s still nice. it’s our last phone call which is so sad. julia turns 3 next week. she’s going to be make a socially distanced / masked outdoor visit because she has a birthday gift for julia and then... that’s kind of it. our services end. but we both mentioned wanting to keep in touch so i hope we will. i have to make an effort. but i’m really thankful for her. she’s been such a good friend to me. she’s literally like 70 years old and she had me do her astrology birth chart and asks me about astrology all the time and it’s so cute lol. i’ll keep in touch with her i hope!

less things than yesterday but today was also actually a slightly better day than yesterday. i really hope tomorrow is a better day in general though because things have been rough in tantrumville but i don’t want to focus on it.

dunno why i remembered this dude right now but shout out to my school's portuguese teacher when i was 13 the dude was an Icon. he was a 24-25 brazilian kid who lasted a year and got the job of teaching portuguese at all levels because nobody else applied. he had absolutely no teaching experience (or ability) and just sent in his cv after moving out from rio (note: because hed been chased by an armed man coming back from a late shift and moved to the first place that seemed chill), and when he got to our town figured he could get some money teaching. his teaching assignments included: translating song lyrics, explaining the inherent sexism in brazilian insults and making us watch rio. when we once asked him if he had a girlfriend he laughed and when we asked if he had a boyfriend said "you know this school has rules right?" and changed the subject. he quit at the end of the year and NOBODY REPLACED HIM so my school hasnt had portuguese classes since. he's a gymnastics instructor last time i heard w a boyfriend of like 6 years and just became a staple of the town like everybody else. god i hope im that fucking cool in a couple of years

First of all I’m sorry for the pain that you personally had to go through. I hope you’re doing okay 🤗. At the same time though, I see uniqueness besides similarities in everybody’s situation. 

1. Someone who is broken can’t be a crutch for someone else

In a traditional family setup in many cultures, even more prominent in Asian cultures, the eldest child is always the one assumed to carry responsibilities of looking after the younger ones. In a family crisis situation, while the younger ones theoretically have the one they can turn to, the eldest child has nobody and is usually left to fend for himself and everybody else. 

Some elder kids have the inner strength and maturity to carry it at young age but some really struggle with it and only develop at a later age. Your brother and Taka seem to be in the latter category. Like Taka, your brother walked out because he was hurting and that was the shortcut way he knew how to surpress it and to stay away from what was troubling him at home. He couldn’t be your pillar when he was broken himself. Just like Taka who took the quick way out and his story had been well documented. 

Also, a lot of times, someone who feels worthless doesn’t understand why anyone would feel hurt to see him walk away. I’m sure Taka himself only fully began to understand NOW, as an adult, the hurt he caused Hiro when he walked away back then. In his mind, he was a loser. Not doing well in school, stressed out over the parents’ marriage breaking up, not getting along with their father, very unhappy and not knowing where his future was heading. Certainly not someone for little Hiro to look up to. How would he look after Hiro when he could barely take care of himself?

2. Some people need to pull themselves together first before they can love others

That dark period in Taka’s life was not something he’s proud of. He acknowledges it in interviews and his lyrics. Even OOR members admitted that Taka wasn’t exactly a pleasant person to deal with when they first found him. But once he got his life on track, things fell into places. He made amend with his father and got back the Moriuchi name. While Taka couldn’t give back the years with him that Hiro lost, he let Hiro hang around his friends and be a part of his life back in that way. 

Even Hiro never denied the perks of being Taka’s brother. The most significant was when one of Taka’s close friends K from Pay Money To My Pain befriended Hiro and how that friendship led to the formation of MY FIRST STORY. 

Think again, would Kei Goto a.k.a the late K simply befriend a random underaged high school kid just like that? I highly doubt it 🤔. Hiroki Moriuchi was NOT some random high school kid. K and Taka were buddies and Hiro the high school kid was Taka’s little brother. I doubt Taka would let his little brother hang around someone he didn’t trust. He knew Hiro was in good hands. All these happened only after Taka got his life back on track and was able to be the big brother figure he was meant to be for Hiro.

3. Taka publicly standing up for Hiro would be bad for Hiro’s image

Yes, it would be counter-productive for Taka to do so. You see, the ROOT of the hate and cyber-bullying towards Hiro stemmed from how easy things happened for him because of his family connection. If Taka had spoken out, it would make Hiro appear weak and ultra-dependant on his big brother. 

“Duh! Not only he got a band because he’s Taka brother. Now, he needs to be protected like a baby!” 

Hmm … does that sound good to you? We also need to see things from the haters’ perspective too, you know. Oh, with Papa being a multi-millionaire? Trust me. Hiro would get even less respect if any of his family members had spoken out for him. The bullying might get even worse. 

As for Tomo, anything his family members say would bring unnecessary attention to him. He appeared on TV that one time because of his job at the station. Otherwise, he’s very private. It’s unfair on him if his famous family gives more reasons for the public to scrutinize his life when that’s the last thing he wants. 

4. Being seen publicly as a brave independent fighter would be far more beneficial for Hiro

It worked well for Taka. He only started displaying his bonds with his parents AFTER he had firmly made a name for himself even though they had been on good terms since the early days of OOR. Likewise, Hiro would be less relatable to many fans if he is constantly being taken care of by his more famous and successful family members. Isn’t that the public perception Hiro is still trying hard to break away from? 

Not just the Moriuchi, I have never seen being publicly defended by family members work well for ANY celebrity in the world. It may work for ordinary folks but things work differently for famous people. 

I do support Hiro but I think even his most ardent supporters would agree that he somewhat gives off these “baby” vibes. MFS members themselves seem protective towards him. They let him be mischievious, loud and boisterous with them but they’re always there to hug him when he cries. Therefore, independence from his family would balance that out nicely.

5. Taka made a conscious choice to speak only for himself because he knew any reaction to it would be directed to him and ONLY him

As opposed to Taka speaking out for any of his family members, whom the public might hurl the hate and negative reaction to instead. 

Things just work differently for celebrities. In a way, to minimize the bullying towards their loved ones, staying out of their public battle a lot of times is the better way to go. By not bringing more attention to it. 

Likewise, none of Taka’s family members said anything when Taka had to face a barrage of criticism and angry reactions at the time. The ones who publicly defended him were his friends and peers. Guys like Mah (SiM) and Masato (Coldrain) among some. For celebrities, somehow testimonies from people they have worked with or even strangers they have encountered hold much higher values than family members. 

With their chosen careers, backlash and criticism come with the territory. That’s what their parents want to instill in the two brothers. “You have chosen this path. Learn to deal with it.“

6. Rude fans are rude fans nonetheless

Rude people don’t suddenly become angels just because their idols ask them to. Just look at the backlash against Taka. It was quite brutal. Just like how Hiro got pictures of a woman pooping by his haters, I saw a photo of a “hairy ding dong” for Taka among some, along with truckloads of really scathing words. By his own fans (or should I say “ex-fans"?). If this kind of fans are willing to treat Taka like that just from ONE social media post, then nothing good can come out of it if Taka had said or done anything about Hiro’s haters. The ones who would cheer him would still be the same ones who already support MFS anyway. 

Remember when fans were speculating that OOR’s song Right By Your Side as being dedicated to Hiro? Those who like MFS thought it was a sweet gesture but those who don’t like MFS used it as an excuse to say, “Look! Taka wrote a song for Hiro. Yet he still wants to call Taka his rival. What a low life!”. Yes, I’ve personally seen comments like that. So, see? Whatever Taka does regarding Hiro, mean-spirited people will still find a way to set fire to it.

7. There must be more than meets the eye

Fans went nuts when the brothers wore this pair of pants. I doubt it’s a coincidence that Hiro suddenly is comfortable wearing Taka’s look when he used to be sensitive about being called Taka’s copy before.

But that’s not even something new. in January 2018, Taka posted a photo of himself wearing this Monster’s Inc hoodie at Disneyland. That same month, Hiro was wearing that same Disney hoodie at his 24th birthday party.

Heaven knows what Taka had said to Hiro in private especially after MFS Budokan show 🤔. At the end of the day, they are family and though I also know many families who cut ties from each other, Taka and Hiro clearly are the ones who keep theirs 😉.

I have a few stories I’m proud of! But I really love this one: When I was little I grew up in a village in which like 300-400 people lived (maximum) and next to us lived this sweet older couple who always gave us sweets and vegetable for our parents, or they brought us stuff from when they went on vacation. The man is now constantly sick, he suffers from parkinson and you see the early statges of dementia setting in. A while ago he wanted to go and get the German version of fish and chips with his wife but due to him needing a ton of surgeriesw constantly he wasnt able to go out with his wife. When my mom told me this I was like wtf u cant just tell me this, I’m too soft. So I went and got fish and chips from the best market around us for him and flowers for his wife, despite the fact that I havent seen them in YEARS. When I arrived at their front door both of them hugged me and cried a bit

2020 Comeback Ranking: End of February Edition

this is an update to my ranking of 2020 comebacks, i’m keeping a running list lol. i updated it a couple times this month, but as comeback schedules return to a normal pace (possibly) i’ll probably just update this once or twice a month. maybe on the 15th and the 30th of every month or something. unless i just stop doing it after this update altogether lol, who knows. this is not a ranking of every comeback so far in 2020, just the ones i’ve heard and decided that i like. if it’s on the list at all, even if it’s near the bottom, that means i like the song a lot. 

this is just a list of title tracks, since i dont listen to every group’s bsides, and idk things like music video and concept are factors for me a lot of the time. i’m not sure how many songs i want to limit the list to once there get to be too many to list... and honestly i’ll probably leave some off of this one if it gets too long. take everything with a grain of salt... my opinions aren’t set in stone. if you go to my “2020 comebacks” tag, you’ll see previous lists and laugh at how different they all are. my next one will probably have a bunch of these songs in different orders again, as well as having new songs added in of course, just because my opinions change. okay here goes

Dreamcatcher - Scream: still at number 1 lol. i dont have all that much to say about it that hasnt already been said. you all already know

Weki Meki - Dazzle Dazzle: it might fall in subsequent updates, but as of right now it’s the one i’ve been listening to the second most, and i really like it. i’m not sure it’s really second-best-of-the-year material, though. but that’s where it’s at for the time being. it sounds like a weki meki song, which i’m soooo happy about, lol

GFriend - Crossroads: wow Crossroads really grew on me, lol. this song got better every time i heard it and now like.. idk, i really really like it. i’ve been enjoying watching stages for it too, i think it, Dr Bebe, and Fiesta have the best choreos of the currently-promoting songs. well, i think Crossroads is done promoting, but that’s pretty recent lol. sometimes i get emotional when i listen to this song real loud and let it take me away haha.... sigh....

Pentagon - Dr Bebe: it fell a little bit, partially cause two songs passed it, but also just i havent been listening to it that much lately. i like it, and sometimes when i listen to it, it really hits me... but it’s not the kind of song that i’m always in the mood for. you know? it’s not an any-day-any-time type of song lol. i think the velvet-ness of it is cool but i’m starting to get a bit tired of it unfortunately :( i’ll see how things shake out. for now it’s still number 4.

Cignature - Nun Nu Nan Na: i like this song a lot, it’s good, it feels like a breath of fresh air.

Izone - Fiesta: this one has also really grown on me. Fiesta slaps lol. i love the choreo, i love the surreal visuals in the video, i think the song is a bop too. hell yeah. if this had indeed come out last year then i’m not sure where it would have landed, but i think i like it more than Violeta. if it’s holding it’s own against the comebacks so far this year then maybe it would have done pretty well last year too haha

Loona - So What: idk this feels about right. i think a lot of orbits are a little tired of the song at this point. even those of us who liked it... you know... the novelty’s worn off, the line distribution and screen time is still irritating, the choreo’s not quite as fun to watch as we had hoped, and they’re just about wrapping up the promotions. still, i think this is a song we’ll revisit through the year, and once it sounds fresh to me again it might rise on the list, so i kinda expect it to hover around the 6-8 spot on my list even as more good comebacks keep coming out. it’s certainly an interesting song lol. 

Cherry Bullet - Hands Up: fairly simple lol this is just a weird bop

Ateez - Answer: i really dont know where to put Answer haha. just like Dr Bebe, this isnt the kind of song i wanna listen to 24/7. it has to be the right mood. so sometimes i feel like “ugh i dont feel like listening to Answer at all, i need something with more energy... im so tired of this song...” but then sometimes it really hits the spot and i go “you know what? this is still one of the better tracks of the year. this is powerful stuff” haha. again, it just has to be the right mood. so idk, i’ll put it here.

Everglow - Dun Dun: speaking of songs i’m tired of.....

Red Velvet - Psycho (i’m counting this as 2020): shrug. i like Psycho, but yeah, same thing as Dr Bebe and Answer. i like songs i can listen to on repeat at any time in the day, i like songs that pump me up and make me feel energetic. still, credit where credit is due i mean, this song’s real good lol. i know that’s not saying anything you didnt already know haha, but still

Elris - Jackpot: aaa! i love really straightforwardly weird girl group songs! that’s why Cignature is so high, and that’s why this song is on my list! i dont think it’s amazing, but i like it! it’s quirky and i like that! is it gonna even be on this list on my next update? honestly who knows, lol. maybe not. for right now though i think it’s cute

Moonbyul - Eclipse: this was super high on my last list lmao. it’s alright. my non-kpop-stan bf likes this one a lot and so i was listening to it a lot cause of them, but i think it’s not really where my head’s at right now. 

Rocket Punch - Bouncy: at first i thought this song was annoying and then i thought it was kinda cool cause it’s indicative of the trend towards teen crush concepts becoming the majority and then now i think it’s a bit annoying again. the embarrassing lyrics are hard to overlook lol. it’s not bad though.

Siyeon - Paradise: same as the other more emotional songs that i listed lol (other than Crossroads, which is emotional but also has a kind of fast drive to it that i like). it’s cool but i don’t listen to it that often cause i’m not always in this mood. i love siyeon though, i really do

3YE - Queen: lmao this almost definitely won’t be on the list next time. i think it’s cool but it’s nothing to write home about. i’ve been listening to it enough that i felt like i had to include it though. there are some really sick-sounding ideas in this song, but... it’s not like it’s oozing with personality, lol. it sounds like what you expect a girl crush song to sound like in 2020. cause it is one. lol. money flex all day.
