Random Fic Idea I have no time to write...

In the early days of Hashirama and Madara's friendship their fathers order them to stop seeing one another, but in a fit of teenage pique they refuse and it comes across like they're in love.

This freaks out Tajima and Butsuma who forbid them from seeing one another, going on long rants about their positions, how they can't love a lowly whatever, ect., ect.

Angry, Hashirama and Madara double down and launch into the greatest real life imitation of star-crossed lovers, sending one another love letters intercepted by their clans, sneaking into one another's compounds to sing serenades, declaring their undying love to anyone who asks and the entire time....

THEY'RE JUST FRIENDS.

They're just angry that someone tried to tell them what to do.

And it just keeps going, because neither side will back down, but no one realized how stubborn Madara and Hashirama are.

THEY TAKE IT ALL THE WAY TO THE END AND RUN AWAY TO BE TOGETHER. Accidentally forming the village when members of their clans who want peace follow them.

THEN THE DAIMYO HOSTS THEIR WEDDING.

And the entire time they're still JUST REALLY GOOD FRIENDS and STUBBORN BASTARDS WHO DIDN'T LIKE ANYONE TELLING THEM WHAT TO DO!

And it's MADA/TOBI and HASHI/MITO/IZU.

When the other clans start wanting to join the village Madara and Hashirama act like they're fools in love so no one realizes its all a lie and it just keeps going and the village keeps growing until one day Madara and Hashirama realize what they've done.

Can't decide which part would be funner: the two of them having to hide the truth from Tobi, Mito, Izuma, and their fathers and pretend to be lovers.

Or: Tobi, Mito, and Izuna naturally figuring it out and having to help them cover so the other clans don't find out.

.....maybe I'll start writing it anyway....

nooooo Anon I'm so sorry I dont know how this got lost in the shuffle but it did! So I've only recently started diving into the Hashirama/Izuna ship and so far this is what I have. 6. Dom/Top? Sub/Bottom? Any Switches?: I definitely think Izuna is a bottom- a bitchy power bottom who snarls and bites. Hashirama is a switch (when he doesn't get something in his ass every once in a while he gets irritable which means hes pouty and insufferable) He enjoys overwhelming Izuna. I enjoy them as a couple with Mito because Mito is my Queen and she definitely tops them both.

7. Genital HC?: Hashirama loves a full bush- but Izuna complains and says that he should at least try to maintain some form of grooming. Hashirama often sulks when Izuna forces him to trim or shave and will often cry when he gets Izuna into bed (or on a desk, against a tree, in the kitchen, in the hallway, on Madara's desk-) and Izuna's bush is gone. Hashirama's dick is big like himself, and the first time he and Izuna had sex he had to lie very still and refrain from moving as Izuna rode him at his own pace. (Izuna very sore the day after but let Hashirma fuck him again the next day anyway because yeah, it is that good and he rather enjoyed the feel of the soreness for days afterwards.) Izuna's dick is average- a little on the thick side but flushes a pretty pink at the tip. He has a freckle right next to his balls that Hashirama loves to kiss.

“Maybe that’s why Hashi went to Madara.”

His words made her pause, calculate. “You think?”

“Do you think Madara would hesitate to kill father?”

She snorted. “He’d do it laughing. The Great Calamity. It’d be a feather in his cap to be the one who killed the Senju Clan Head.”

Someone ( @ohai-there ) asked me if I had any thoughts ab mdtb weeks "cultural differences" prompt, so, like, take just the copy pasted reply I gave them (+ some extra) :

I was up all night drawing birthday art and am this 👌 close to blacking out for x amount of hours so this risks being nonsensical fair warning

Uhhh culture shock my beloved, let's seee

Easy answer is the senju are very touchy feely, easily and willingly sleeps around (they face a lot less risk of bloodline theft due to rarity of the mokuton so there isn't as much ingrained cultural fear of being assulted/facing the baby shaped consequences of sleeping around willy nilly)

They can take multiple spouses and it's actually rare for the head of house to have only one wife (Hashirama is an exception bc Mito is a Princess(tm) and so to take another wife would risk offending her own clan culture, he is fine with this and they possibly often take others to bed with them just for funzies (potential hashimitoizu noises(?)))

Uhh anyways so that, they're super liberal with touch, etc. Etc.

Also they don't really do crazy deep romance and are super used to casual no strings attached flings, you have to make yourself VERY clear in what you're doing if you want to actually start a fr relationship bc otherwise many "courtship" behaviors are just like. Casual, culturally acceptable flirting and invitations to bang (the senju have a 101 different ways to proposition eachother in flower language alone.)

Meanwhile the Uchiha are on the total opposite side of the spectrum— they're like super conservative (In contrast to the Senju not having an ingrained fear of bloodline hunters, their very valuable and very vulnerable kekkei genkkei makes them prime victims, which has lead them having generations of trauma fueled insane abstinence lessons)

+ They're a noble clan and regularly interact with the Daimyo's court, so there's even more etiquette culture ingrained into them so they can send anyone into court if needed (While the Senju, who are NOT a noble clan, only ever send their main house, and so only they have to even worry about court etiquette)

They do not believe in divorce, they do not believe in political marriages (tho they do happen very very rarely, it's seen as very sad and tragic when it does) they... sometimes believe in multiple spouses, in specific situations (they can't regularly interact w the daimyo's court and not have to face it as a concept, after all)

So like. Super up tight, hella rules about how to show affection and proper ways to conduct yourselves, months long courting rituals before u even get to kissing, to sleep together before marriage is SINFUL

But they're ALSO super fucking romantic and absolutely insane about having soulmates and one true loves and are just super intense ab all that romance stuff where the senju are super relaxed in it

I think u see where this is going

Anyways uhhh

They make a village and there's tons of culture shock

Then Tobirama, being Tobirama (standoffish and cold, not especially interested in the usual wild Senju sex parties or whatever tf kind of events they're hosting in the gardens) is like, among the most "normal" to the Uchiha (from a cultural standpoint)

And bc of that, Madara maybe interacts w him more like "well he's kind of awful but at least he's not a sex FREAK like the rest of these Senju WHORES"

Umm Madara tries to court Tobirama but Tobirama sees it as him only trying to bang (?)

Which he possibly doesn't even want to do

Tobirama is like "Ah man, if only he were interested in actual courtship, but he has only given me the Senju flowers of "I wish to ravish you in the fields" and not the senju flowers of "I am potentially interest in maybe going on a date" (a proposition that a)he received not too infrequently, and so was not odd, and b) he politely rejected by accepting the flowers then showing Madara that he had planted it in red soil)

Meanwhile, Madara is like. "Wow this courtship is going so great he's accepting all my Uchiha flowers of pure devotion and innocent love in bloom"

Just in general, their clans having different flower meanings could be funny actually. The Uchiha regularly interact with court so I think they'd have to have, like, "normal" flower meanings (or else theres be some implications there of how theye gotten so far while using incorrect flower meanings in genuinely important events) so that means its the Senju who have odd meanings for flowers-- which also works, bc, like, mokuton

however many years ago, a previous descendant with mokuton told his clansmen the ""real"" meaning of these flowers,,, u wouldnt get it,,,

Another fun route could be, like, the Uchiha method of declaring ones intentions to court someone also happens to be the Senju's method of declaring a feud.

Madara tries to flirt with Tobirama only for Tobirama to understand this as Madara telling him to his face that the peace may be ongoing but he'll always hate his bitch ass !!!

I found out about Founders Week (the prompts, anyway) about . . . a month before it was happening? In the midst of several other deadlines and projects.

So I’m a little surprised I wrote as much as I did for it!

Day 1: Forest - Heart’s Home Hashirama & Tobirama (or Hashirama/Tobirama?) - T; 916 Series: Brothers Comfort, closeness, fluff, indeterminate relationship. Sensing a deep well of unease in the forest surrounding the Senju compound, Tobirama seeks out his brother, offering company and comfort.

Day 2: Soulmates - Arrangements and Abandonments Hashirama/Mito and Hashirama & Tobirama - T; 1.6k Soulmate AU, platonic soulmates, arranged marriage and falling in love, (mention of) soulmates being bad for each other in practise. Mito has found herself growing surprisingly fond of her prospective husband as their families settle on the details of the arrangement to bring them together. There is one . . . final concern to be sure of, however; one underlined by the painful reminder etched on her skin by fate.

Day 3: Choices - Not Soon Enough Madara/Tobirama - T; 1.2k Proposal, fluff, courtship/conclusion of courtship, first kiss. Tobirama knows he has options for how his path, his life will proceed from here. He has simply already made his choice.

Day 4: Generation Swap - Building Konoha Sakumo/Orochimaru and (pre-)Madara/Tobirama - T; 3.6k Generation swap: Sannin as Founders, childhood crushes, (mention of) arranged marriage, devoted married couple, friendship. Building their new village is a lot of work, but Orochimaru never regrets chasing his childhood dream with his oldest friends. Today, however, he's taking the day from diplomacy and infrastructure for some training and games with a couple of the village children. 

Day 5: Childhood - Childhood Madara/Tobirama - T; 800 Slightly overwhelmed feelings, comfort, children. The next generation of Uchiha children will never be forced out of childhood and onto battlefields.

Day 6: Brothers - Brothers Hashirama & Tobirama (or Hashirama/Tobirama?) - M; 5.2k Series: Brothers Outside POV (Madara), codependency, love, perceived (uncertain) implications of incest. No one can deny that the Senju brothers are very close. Madara never expected to find himself wondering just . . . how close. He'd really rather not be now, if only he could shut the thoughts out.

Day 6: Fix-it - Proper Care Hashirama/Madara/Tobirama - M; 14.1k Brothers, neglected!Madara, hair care (so much), subtle courting, sharing a partner. The Senju brothers see their friend is in need of care and affection lacking in his life . . . and they would be only too happy if he would allow them to provide those things for him.

Day 7: Flowers - The Drama of Mito and the (Not-)Skewered Noodle Cat Hashirama/Mito/Izuna - T; 1.7K Fluff, humor, mild injury, cuddles, noodle cats. Noodle cats may be very quick on their paws, but sneaking around ninja is just never a good idea. Fortunately in the noodle cats' world, all can once again be made well with cuddles and treats.

I was admittedly also surprised to be creating a new ship tag, with Hashirama/Mito/Izuna! . . .I have more plans for them, and I was delighted people enjoyed them - and I kind of hope I have made my newly-built ship look shiny enough to get some other people aboard. >.>

Also: the noodle cats getting attention in a proper length fic! As focus, even! Such fun, and I enjoyed writing them (properly) at last, the silly little darlings~ Much more with them planned!

This is my final piece for Founders Week - I did more than I thought I would, and possibly more than I should have, given my other deadlines, but I’m so pleased I did, I’ve really enjoyed it, thanks mods!

Fandom Year in Review (2022)

It’s the very last day of 2022, and that means it’s time for a little look back at my fandom year in writing (and podficcing, events, etc.) once again! Then I’ll get back to writing before midnight, along with setting some goals and plans for 2023, of course. ;)

I posted 163 new stories to AO3 this year!

(Startlingly, as I had entirely forgotten, I also posted exactly 163 new stories to AO3 in 2021! o.o)

Those 163 stories were for 17 fandoms, 3 of them new for me to be posting for, and 50 ships! (18 of those ships were new.)

I posted a total of 377,979 words to AO3 this year!

I participated in 8 fandom events, with a total of 73 stories! Those events include:

Iruka Winter Bingo 2021-2022 (server event, @the-umino-hours) the Three Sentence Ficathon, over on Dreamwidth (moving to its own community for next year!) @harunosakuraweek @domaystic @badthingshappenbingo, which I will continue working on my board for @kakashiweek @whumptober, for which I wrote only minifics this year NejiHina Week (run by @nejihinata)

Fandom Year in Review (2019)

I’ve posted my final story for the day (and the year!) and now it’s time to consult my spreadsheet and put together some numbers. . .

I posted 123 new stories to AO3 this year!

Those stories were for 13 fandoms, only one of which was new to me (Greek Mythology) and 37 ships! Of those ships 21 were new.

I posted a total of 560,838 words to AO3 this year!

(That includes all new stories and chapter updates, but not poetry collections.)

I wrote 100 works for 11 Fandom/Multi-Fandom Events!

. . .no wonder I had so many deadlines, went so mad, and felt like I did so many. I did.
