𝐈𝐍𝐎𝐒𝐔𝐊𝐄 𝐇𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐀

— Inosuke is not used to sleeping with other people, and you can tell he’s never been cuddled either. He tenses up and wriggles away the first time you attempt to spoon him in your sleep.

“You really don’t want to cuddle, Inosuke?” you sighed dejectedly.

“Why would I?!” 

You make a sad face and shuffle back to your own bedroll. With Inosuke’s usual total disregard for personal space, you’d thought he wouldn’t mind if you swooped in for a cuddle. He’s very much like a cat in that regard, he only wanted to be touched on his terms.

There’s a moment of silence before you hear grumbling and shuffling, and the next thing you know he’s pressed to your side, the fur of his mask tickling your chin as he tucks his “face” into the crook of your neck.

— Refuses to sleep any other way after that.

— He’ll act betrayed when you take naps without him when he’s readily available. “You took a nap without me?!” his heart is shattered, how could you?

— God forbid one or both of you are injured and get put in separate rooms because as soon as he wakes, he’s sneaking out to crawl into your bed with you. No amount of scolding from you or Shinobu is gonna keep him away for long.

— Tends to spoon you subconsciously, either slipping a leg between yours or wrapping it around you n holding onto you like a backpack. 

— He moves around a lot in his sleep, so prepare to wake up with a foot in your face or from getting kicked. Especially if he’s having particularly engaging dreams, you may or may not be mistaken for some all-powerful beast for Inosuke to conquer in dreamland.

— Inosuke is so god damn hyper in the morning and it can be a lot, especially since he wants you to be up too so you can start a new day together. It’s hard to keep up with his enthusiasm, and sometimes you just turn over and cover your ears with a pillow to drown him out. Most times that'll get your blankets yoinked, and you’ll be beaten to death (not really) with that same pillow.

“HEY DON’T IGNORE ME! WAKE UP!”

— Though sometimes he can be soft. You’ll wake up to a strange weight on your tummy and find him sitting there, staring at you like a cat waiting for its owner to wake up. And sometimes he’ll just lay back down, covering you with his body and nuzzling his face into your neck. And if you lift a heavy hand to play idly with his hair, he might just fall back asleep again.

𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐉𝐈𝐑𝐎 𝐊𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐃𝐎

— A cuddle bug that wants nothing more than to snuggle up on the futon with you after a long night of demon slaying.

— He’s the type to scoot closer if you move away in your sleep since he will wake up if he doesn’t feel you there anymore.

— Please spoon him. You will not regret it for a moment. He runs warm and is the perfect size for cuddling! Tan sighs so happily when you pull him against you, tucking his head right beneath your chin. Your comforting scent and firm embrace lull him right to sleep.

— Alternatively, he wakes up if he smells your distress, so you’ll never be alone if you have a nightmare. You don’t have to tell him what it was about, but he does insist on staying up with you to comfort you. Even when he’s struggling to keep his eyes open, he’ll pet your head and just talk to you until you’ve calmed down enough to doze off again.

— His duties as the Sun Hashira often keep him away for long periods, and he definitely misses your presence at his side when he stops to rest. It’s simply not the same without the weight of your arm strewn over his waist or the soft sounds of your breathing. He’ll even miss your snoring. That’s why he's always eager to return, all of his worries disintegrating as you gather him in your arms and murmur sweet things to him until he nods off.

— In the summer months, he’ll understand if you don’t want to cuddle, but he’ll want to at least hold your hand. 

— Settling down for the night together is a cherished ritual and he wants to be a part of it. Whether it’s taking pins or accessories out of your hair, or putting it into a protective style for sleeping, he wants to help out. He’s also damn good at giving massages and head rubs, so never be afraid to ask if you need a little more help winding down. That man lives to dote on you.

— Tanjiro rarely has the heart to wake you up early, but he makes you breakfast and leaves notes around your home if he’s gotta run somewhere. He melts into a puddle if he finds you making breakfast early in the morning, domesticity really does it for him.

𝐙𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐒𝐔 𝐀𝐆𝐀𝐓𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐀

— You’ve married a cryptid. I'm so sorry.

— Zenitsu sleepwalks as I’m sure you can imagine. You’ll wake up to him out of bed, standing ominously in the middle of the room.

“Zenitsu honey, come back to bed,” you’d murmur tiredly after the initial shock wears off. Even asleep he bends to your will, crawling back onto the futon to sidle up against you once more. 

— Other times you’ll hear noises coming from the kitchen and find him making a whole meal in his goddamn sleep. Which is quite adorable, but also dangerous like pls you’re going to hurt yourself.

— The times he’s not wandering about, he’s snuggled up to you as close as he can get, face buried in your chest or neck, arms and legs wrapped around you.

— He snores if he’s on his back but it’s soft enough to sleep through.

— Giggles in his sleep if he’s having a good dream (he always says all the best ones are of you ❤︎)

— Zenitsu tends to sleep sprawled out on top of you. Oftentimes he returns from a long day of demon slaying, crawls right on top of you, and crashes for several hours. 

— He’s your weighted blanket <333

— Zenitsu never wants either of you to leave the bed in the mornings. He’ll cling, whine, and plead for “five more minutes.” (but it’s always much longer than that) 

— Sometimes you can coax him to release the death grip around your waist with promises of his favorite breakfast or endless kisses, other times you’ll just have to cope with being late to places.

𝐊𝐘𝐎𝐉𝐔𝐑𝐎 𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐎𝐊𝐔

— Deep sleeper!! with you anyways. As soon as he’s out, very little will wake him.

— Kyo’s definitely a cuddler! And the best suited for it too since he radiates heat like a furnace. It’s stifling during the summer months, but he truly can’t bear to be parted from you. Sleeping light or nude would be best, not like you’ll have to worry about getting cold when your husband is a literal space heater. 

— He’s an absolute dream during the colder months, and you know he takes full advantage of the weather as an excuse to snuggle every second of the day.

— Mumbles in his sleep every now and then. It’s usually gibberish or a breathy chuckle, but sometimes you can discern whispers of “tasty” and bits and pieces of your name.

— Kyojuro becomes reliant on your presence to sleep over time. It happened so slowly he didn’t realize his dependency until he found himself lying wide awake and restless out in the field. 

— He swore he could fall asleep anywhere before he met you but now… now he needs the sound of your soft snores next to his ear. He needs the feeling of your warm body against his. How was he supposed to sleep without someone there to hog the blanket? or crawl on top of him in the middle of the night when close just wasn’t close enough?

— Worst of all, you aren’t there to pet his hair and whisper sweet nothings to him as he wakes up — it’s those moments he wouldn’t trade for the world. You always treat him with such care, allowing yourself to be held hostage in bed until he also awoke, even when his profession meant his rest stretched on into the afternoon hours.

“The Flame Hashira lives!” you’d sing playfully as he blinks the film of sleep from his eyes, staring up at you with nothing but love and adoration. You’d lean down to kiss his lonely forehead, but not before purring your eagerly awaited utterance of “Good morning, baby.”

His eyes flutter closed as your lips brush over his forehead, grinning so widely his cheeks dimple.

“G’morning, darling flame,” he’d rasp in that rumbly morning voice that makes your cheeks feel warm. “Sorry to keep you waiting.”

— Kyojuro tends to nod off while he’s got his head resting on your lap during dates, especially if you start playing with his hair. He wakes up later to find you’ve also drifted off while sitting up, slumped forward just slightly. Your hair frames your face, the late afternoon sun casting an ethereal glow onto you.

— Napping together is quite a regular occurrence, especially when your duties tend to keep you up during the evening hours. If you’re a slayer too, your sleep schedules match up rather nicely, meaning you’ll be frequently found in a tangle of limbs somewhere.

— If you have children, you’ll often find them knocked out cold with their father. (he’s the type to fall asleep with a baby on his chest) it’s the kind of scene that puts tears in your eyes and makes you sink to your knees. It’s all too tempting to join the cuddle pile with your husband and children.

𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐍 𝐔𝐙𝐔𝐈 + 𝐖𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐒

— Tengen snores, but not as loud as Suma. The two of them are making harmonies while Makio and Hinatsuru hardly make any noise at all. Though the three of you can all agree you wouldn’t be able to sleep without the sound of your lovers’ snoring after a while.

— They all say goodnight to one another which is very adorable.

“Goodnight Suma.” “Goodnight Hina.” “Goodnight Makio.” “Goodnight Lord Tengen!!” “Goodnight Y/nnnnn~”

It’s back and forth until everyone is accounted for 

— You five sleep in a tangle of limbs, but it’s the coziest cuddle pile you’ll ever sleep in. Tengen’s been married long enough not to be disturbed by shuffling or moving around since sleeping with various other people requires occasional readjusting no matter how you romanticize it.

— Suma usually demands a spot at your side so she can wrap herself around you like a koala. She does drool, but she usually looks so damned cute doing it that you don’t have the heart to move her away from your shoulder. She’s always whispering to you as everyone settles down for bed, and Makio often scolds her for giggling and keeping the others awake. 

— Prepare for those two to bicker over you, oftentimes literally. They’ll hiss and argue whilst they have their arms full of you.

— Hinatsuru sings you lullabies when you just can’t seem to sleep and plays with your hair. Her fingers scratch lovingly over your scalp, smiling as your eyelids droop further under her gentle affections and ethereal voice. You always wake up with a mouthful of her hair, but it’s so worth it.

— Makio gives excellent head rubs when you have a headache, and although she may pretend that you’re a nuisance, you can tell she enjoys taking care of her partners. She’s a big spoon and likes to hold your hand while she sleeps, blushing furiously when you raise her knuckles to your lips.

— Tengen rarely manages to snag you from his wives’ clutches for a spot at your side, but when he does he wraps his entire body around you and nearly smothers you with his heat. He cutely holds things while he sleeps so expect to wake up in a headlock. And if you’re in his clutches when he goes to roll over, you’re getting rolled over as well. It’s a bit disorienting, but he soothes you with an apologetic kiss on your temple if he wakes you.

— Tengen thinks it’s endearing that you try to hold him just like he holds everyone else, even with him being so big. You don’t seem to mind his size, wrapping yourself around him like a backpack and tucking his head under your chin.

— Mornings consist of detangling and lots and lots of kisses!

# tanjiro ! ☆

TANJIRO is such a sweetheart, he really is. But when it comes to sticking to a schedule, he does not make any shortcut or excuses to what will happen. Whatever the schedule says goes no ifs ands or buts. Thankfully he only uses a morning routine anyways.

He had heard from both Rengoku and Mitsuri that having a morning schedule is very good to prepare you for the day. So tanjiro has one to! He tries to get you to follow the routine along with him but you would rather stay in bed instead..

The moment the sun begins to rise is the time Tanjiro wakes up as well. It’s almost as if his body had a set in clock to wake him up. He already gets himself up before he comes and “pesters” you, who is still sound asleep when he’s ready to start the day. Tanjiro only pokes your cheek trying to get you to wake up.

You only groan turning your body over as you already know what he’s waking you up for. “Tanjiro I don’t even think the sun is up yet..” you mumble putting a pillow over your head. Tanjiro only silently laughs before replying “That doesn’t mean we can’t wake up either, if we don’t go fast we’re going to miss our time to train before leaving!” He only flashes a beaming smile, you wished to see that smile in your dreams right now instead.

# zenitsu ! ☆

If he had to be honest ZENITSU is unironically really clumsy. Sometimes he’s doing it to get a laugh out of you, but other times he’s genuinely falling. He can’t help it! It used to be something that happened every now and then but it’s almost become more of a habit of his now.

Even if everybody knows he really is just clumsy, if your around without fail he’ll try to play it off like it was on purpose. If your around and he’s already mid fall he’s going to try and stick the landing to make it seem like he was being funny and just doing it on purpose. Other times when it’s too late to cover up his mistake he tries to cover it up with a cheesy pick up line.

You’re only sharpening your sword, admiring the peace until it’s disrupted once again. You can hear a very familiar voice chanting your name as the voice only grows closer and closer. You turn around to see zenitsu rushing towards you after turning a corner, and from what you can tell he has a couple of flowers in his hand.

It’s only when he gets closer is when he somehow manages to trip on whatever was in his path. He comes tumbling towards you as you rush to his aid only to see him quickly put a rose in his mouth. He stares at you with a prideful gaze as you bite back a laugh. You can’t hold it in anymore once he screams howling something along the lines of “THE ROSE POKED ME!!”

# inosuke ! ☆

Sleeping around INOSUKE is no fun at all. He normally has a lot of energy so staying up late is a given, if you manage to actually fall asleep before he does your lucky. If he even manages to get tired and get close to a bed you’re doomed.

When inosuke is asleep there is nothing that is going to wake him up except himself. He is stone cold asleep meaning whatever he does do in his asleep is a complete ball game to deal with. It’s obvious that he is going to be uncomfortably loud, but he really handsy and not in the romantic way at all..

You groan on the edge of the bed as the cold air breezes against you, an hour before you were very much comfortable in the bed, alone at least. The moment inosuke toppled into bed was when everything came to an end. He took all the blankets for himself, he sprawled out taking up most of the space, and did this all while asleep already.

Not to mention the fact he was almost louder than when kyojuro when he’s talking whenever he snores. Every other moment the room rattles with how loud he is. To the point where you get so fed up you grab the one pillow you can find and move to sleep on the couch. It was much easier falling asleep on the couch, the only problem is when you woke up you find inosuke still completely asleep on top of you.

# kanao ! ☆

A lot of people don’t realize that KANAO can be unusually blunt. Around you she feels more open to speak her mind about something and without realizing it. Her words can come out much more harsh than she had originally intended it.

When she’s around you she’s much more careful at watching her tongue, as she obviously does not wish to hurt your feelings. Which she is really good at!! But if you ask for honest criticism she can’t say that she won’t hold back even on you.

You stare at kanao’s paper as she continues to sketch the treeline in the window Infront of the both of you. You’re impressed by her eye for art and even wonder if she could give you some tips as well. It’s not like you haven’t been practicing after all! “Kanao? Would you mind giving me some tips on how to improve my drawing? Honest criticism please.” You ask the girl as she turns to you. Kanao stares down at your drawing seeing what she believes is a samurai down on your paper.

She looks up back at you taking a deep breath before saying, “well your drawing isn’t near accurate to what time period I assume you’re going for. The proportions are off, the armor plates aren’t in the right place, the blade is incorrect, the legs aren’t even or balance the upper body.” Your jaw drops as kanao only looks back at you putting a hand on your shoulder. “I could help you if you like.” She hopes this would make up for shock she put on your face

# genya ! ☆

While GENYA can normally keep things together, there are times where he doesn’t keep track how long he has been a demon. It’s rare considering he normally on a mission for this to ever really happen, but it doesn’t mean it hasn’t.

The mission had gone well to say the least but everything had gone on for so long. Task after task, minute after minute Genya had become more weary and more irritable. By the time he was actually released he couldn’t care about anything except going to bed. On the plus side it would mean he could see your face as well.

When he finally made it to the inn you to we’re staying at he didn’t think twice about immediately moving towards the bedrooms. He failed to see his reflection or acknowledge how loud his footsteps were moving around the house. You groggily open your eyes startled awake by the incoming noise, you don’t remember anybody staying with you. Not until a shadow peers through the doorway.

You turn around to see yellow eyes stand out from the dark hallway. They pierce menacingly almost into the room your in, slowly creeping closer in the dark. Naturally you scream but your surprised when the figure screams to. It stumbles around the room until it can see its own reflection. It’s only then when you realize it’s just genya who didn’t even realize he was a demon himself. He only mumbles out a small “ohh..” before climbing into bed to try and trying to apologize to you..

- like, if you’re sad he’d get you 3 bouquets of roses and the other 3 would be outside because he couldn’t carry them all

- “zenitsuu!! you didn’t have to do that!!”

- but omg does this boy needs words of affirmation

He smiled kindly, sneaking a peek at you through his dark, thick lashes. A field of unkempt sakura blooms blossomed along his round cheeks, tingeing them a faint pink. BA-THUMP! BA-THUMP! BA-THUMP! His heart cried out. Your words left him uneasy, embarrassed even, as they lightly tickled his chest. Despite his wishes, he could not speak for he was grinning far too wide to do so.

Training that evening proved to be quite the challenge for the young slayer as vivid pictures of you had obscured his mind, slowly but surely eating away at his concentration. Your words rang through his head like a silver bell, loud and persisting, furthering his desire to see you —touch you— He's getting red just thinking about it!

“T…Thank you for loving me. I really don't deserve you sometimes.” He whispered, leaning into your shoulder. “I love you too.” Tanjiro pressed a light kiss to your cheek, using his free hand to gently grip your unoccupied shoulder. A cheery laugh had escaped you at his chastity, nearly sending his heart into another frenzy. And to no one's surprise, you were enjoying every bit of it.

ZENITSU AGATSUMA

Oh my, you've made the poor thing faint. Stumbling over his words much like any other sweet adolescent. His fair skin held a warmth much like the sun, if not putting it to shame. Even with his lack of consciousness, that same lovesick grin had never fled his lips. Oh, and be a dear and close his mouth. We wouldn't want him to swallow any pesky flies, would we?

Upon his return from the land of dreams, Zenitsu was distraught. His body rested against the plush cushions of your futon with you seated by his side. He watches you gently rest a damp cloth on his burning skin, humming a feeble tune to occupy the silence. Zenitsu cleared his throat in hopes of "cooly" responding to your confession, but as you'd expect, he fails miserably.

“I-I love you too!!” He shouted, clasping your hands to his chest. “Wait, no — I love you more than anything!” You gently push him back towards the futon, tucking him beneath the sheets once more before lightly caressing his rosy cheeks. To him, words simply cannot convey his feelings for you. They are far too complex to describe. He's happy and he sure as hell wants you to know that.

INOSUKE HASHIBIRA

“Eh? The hell is that!?” Of course, he's confused, why wouldn't he be? Don't take it to heart, you expected this after all. (growing up in the wild does that to you.) Nonetheless, you can't help but feel a little bit annoyed by his statement. Just how clueless could he possibly be and why did you care about him so much? Two questions that you decided to indulge in another time.

Once you walked away, Insouke was quick to find Tanjiro and ask what this "love" thing was, seeing as you were so reluctant to tell him. At first, he finds it rather silly. Why do people use those words as a term of endearment anyways? He can just show you how much he cares! But with further convincing from Tanjiro, Inosuke shoves his inquiries to the side...for now.

“I ‘luove’ you, or whatever you said, too.” You gave him the most deadpan expression, using that moment to take in the immediate panic dancing across his gentle features. A snort slipped past your lips as you snaked your arms around his perfectly thin waist. At that point, you didn't know what you hated more, his obliviousness or his pretty face.

GENYA SHINAZUGAWA

“What...what'd you say?” He grimaced at the harshness of his tone as it was not his intention. He turned away from you, brushing his nose with the pad of his thumb in sheer hope of masking his embarrassment. But it didn't. You were able to spot the deep red creeping up the back of his neck to the tips of his ears. Scooting a bit closer to him, you rest your head on his back, rendering him stiff. But at that moment, you just didn't care.

Being as ill-mannered as he is, Genya hadn't expected anyone who didn't share the same blood to genuinely care for him. The boy has natural bitch repellent unbeaten in his DNA so surely even you are aware of the reasoning behind his insecurities. But, I suppose that makes him charming in a very questionable sense.

“You aren't too bad yourself...” which roughly translates to “I love you too so please don't take this the wrong way.” Genya needs as much love as he can get, though he refuses to admit it. As his partner you should go with your gut when dealing with him — if you think he needs comfort, a hug, then just do it — because at times, you seek to understand his emotions better than himself.

Inosuke With a Pretty Girlfriend HCs

This was originally meant to be written as a reader who wears makeup, paints her nails, etc. It sort of spiraled into crush and dating headcanons lol. My bad!

I think Inosuke would be more concerned with the fighting abilities of his s/o rather than her looks. In fact, it makes very little difference what she looks like to him.

When he first starts feeling things for her, he assumes it's some secret power she has.

Inosuke wonders why he thinks of you at the worst of times, especially in the heat of battle or when you're away from him. It gets worse when his face burns under the boar head because of something you did or said - oftentimes a hand on his shoulder or complimenting him on a job well done.

He tries to ask Tanjiro but explains it in such a roundabout way that he really has no idea what Inosuke means.

In an attempt to be helpful, Tanjiro suggests that maybe it's a breathing technique you learned and that's what got Inosuke so shaken up (oh Tanjiro-).

Of course if Zenitsu was there he'd know immediately what was bothering Inosuke.

At one point the boar-headed boy corners you and demands you stop doing that, and when you ask for him to elaborate, he says "Those weird feelings I get whenever you're around!"

When you finally understand and explain it to Inosuke, he flat-out denies it to be the case.

"No way do I like you! Lord Inosuke bows to no one!"

You shrug, assuming you've gotten it wrong.

Zenitsu is furious when he hears what happened

"YOU IDIOT! HOW COULD YOU SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT TO A PRETTY GIRL LIKE HER?!"

It takes a shouting match and a good bonk to the head for Inosuke to finally ask you out:(

It takes several hours to reach the base of the mountain. It takes several more to climb to the peak. By the time you make it there, it is pitch black outside. As you walk through the snow covered forest, you strain your ears trying to figure out the location of the demon. There are no footprints to track. The snow likely covered them up.

After walking for a while, you conclude that you cannot track this demon based on sound. Because there is no sound. It is eerily quiet. The other slayers that were supposed to be on this mission haven't showed up. There are no animals. The wind is not blowing, rustling the leaves. Everything is still, except for the falling snow.

Chills crawling up your body, you whisper to yourself, "Something is wrong here. Where is everyone?" Throwing a glance at the crow sitting on your shoulder, "Where are the animals?"

Your crow cocks its head at you before launching itself into the air as you gasp, "Wait! Where are you going?"

As it flies into the distance you look around the dark, snowy forest. Finding yourself completely alone.

A few hours later, at the butterfly mansion, Tanjiro sits outside pondering over the situation.

‘Should I have told her from the beginning? I only wanted to spare her feelings… but I think I made it worse.’ He thinks to himself when suddenly his train of thought is interrupted.

“Y/N L/N!! IN NEED OF IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE!! MOUNT KOMOTORI!!”

“That’s Y/n’s crow!” Tanjiro says out loud.

“Y/N L/N!! IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE!!” The bird repeats.

Snapping into action, Tanjiro runs to get his sword, passing a frazzled Zenitsu, who turns to follow him, also running.

“Did you hear?” Zenitsu questions, “Y/n needs help!”

Tanjiro glances at him, “Yeah… I’m heading there now.”

“So am I.” The blonde nods.

“I’m coming too!” A third voice joins in.

“Inosuke?” Tanjiro questions.

“You didn’t think you could go on a rescue mission without King Inosuke did you?” The boar-headed child laughs, “I’m gonna get there first, save her, and make sure everyone knows how awesome I am!”

“Y/N L/N!! IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE!! HURRY!!” The crow swoops down pecking Zenitsu on the forehead.

“Alright! Zenitsu, you’re faster than us so you go ahead. We’re right behind you.” Tanjiro orders.

For once, Zenitsu is serious, “You got it.” he nods, before dashing away.

Tanjiro, looks up with a plea to whatever god is listening, “Please let Y/n be alright until we get there!”

Hours later, Zenitsu is the first to arrive at the peak of Mount Komotori, it is nearing midnight.

“What happened here…” he breathes.

The surrounding area is torn to shreds. Trees snapped completely in half, sharp shards of ice sticking straight up from the ground, and blood, lots of it, smeared in the snow.

Realizing he is in the middle of a fierce battlefield, Zenitsu unsheathes his sword. Shaking slightly, he takes small steps into the forest.

“This is terrifying! I need to find Y/n and get out of here!” he squeaks.

He walks aimlessly for a while before the shaking of a bush paralyzes him in place.

“Coming through!” Inosuke jumps through the bush, pouncing on top of Zenitsu.

“Inosuke wait!” Tanjiro’s voice flows through the air.

Zenitsu, screaming at Inosuke for scaring him, suddenly pauses, snapping his gaze to Tanjiro.

“Did you hear that?”

“Hear what? Did you see any sign of Y/n?” Tanjiro questions.

Zenitsu pushes Inosuke off of him, straining his ears for the sound, “There! That’s it again!”

“What is it?”

“A sword!” the blonde exclaims, “I hear a sword! It has to be Y/n!”

Quickly, Zenitsu leads his friends toward the sound.

“Must be a hell of a fight…” Inosuke mumbles, observing the damage as they run through the snowy forest.

Getting closer, Tanjiro and Inosuke are finally able to hear the sound of the sword that their friend was leading them toward. Moving to a clearing to see you facing off against a demon who seems to use a blood demon art involving the manipulation of ice.

As they sprint into the clearing, you lock eyes with Tanjiro. Just as a spear of ice, launches itself into your abdomen.

“Y/N!!!” All three boys scream.

Inosuke and Zenitsu take your place against the demon, as Tanjiro runs to your side. Quickly, he pulls you a safe distance from the battle, his frenzied eyes roaming over your battered figure.

“You’re okay, you’re okay,” he repeats, “Focus on your breathing and you’ll be fine.”

You’re not sure if he’s reassuring you or himself.

Choking on a breath, you whimper, “Tanjiro…”

“No. Don’t talk, just breathe. Use your breathing to stop the blood,” he coaches.

But the open wound continues to pour more and more, staining the snow underneath you in a puddle of red.

“Y/n please, you have to breathe,” he pushes down on the wound, trying to stop the bleeding, “Y/n you have to listen to m-“

“Tanjiro…” you interrupt, “it’s okay. I’m okay.”

You gasp for air, “It doesn’t hurt.”

At this, tears begin falling down his cheeks, as he whispers your name, pleading.

“I’m sorry.” he hiccups, “I should’ve been faster-, I shouldn’t have kept it from you-, I should’ve done-“

“It’s okay,” you interrupt once more, a whisper this time, “It’s not your fault.”

He brushes the hair from your face, and as he holds you, bloody, battered, and dying, in his arms, he sees you in a different light.

Tanjiro realizes he never quite noticed the sparkle in your eyes until now, when it’s fizzling out.

Or how soft and clear your skin is until now, when it’s covered in blood.

Or how rosy pink your lips are until now, when they’re turning blue.

“Why?” He cries, “Why is this happening?”

You lift your arm, as heavy as lead, to lay your palm on his cheek, “I’ll see you again soon, yeah?”

He runs his fingers through your blood soaked hair, sniffling, “Yeah…”

Your hand falls from his cheek, your eyes close, and you exhale one last choked breath.

The sheets ruffle as you take a seat on the side of tanjiro’s bed, his arms wrapped up in bandages and a cold rag pressed on his forehead. You looked at him as he just smiled kindly at you. “You can leave. I will be okay.” You wanted to believe that, you wanted to leave him be but your own guilt stopped you from moving.

“Not until you sleep. I know how this can feel” you reach up and move the hair off his face, “Being in a medical bed can be tough.” Offering a smile. He just sighed but happily and defeated because he couldn’t convince you to leave. “I used to be here all the time when I first joined, I had my own bed since I was here every week.” You laughed at yourself and continued to play with his hair.

“There was a sweet old lady named Kokoro. She took care of me most of them time, the woman cared for everyone like her own children.” He hummed underneath you and closed his eyes, still listening but trying to find some peace to drift off. You playing with his hair was calming down a lot. “She used to sing to me, a old song..” you took a breath and smiled.

“Where the north winds met the sea” you sang softly and not to loud. Tanjir opened his eyes to look at you while you closed your own with a smile.

“There a river full of memories” you continue to sing and play with his hair. Tanjiro felt at easy and closed his eyes and enjoyed the moment of your soft voice. It’s been two long since he had someone sing to him, he never thought it would happen again.

Half way through the song you notice his breaths become softer and easier, you knew he was sleeping as he parted his lips. So you slowly stopped and lifted yourself up off the bed as carefully as you could. Leaning down you kiss his forehead.

“Goodnight Tanjiro.” He subconsciously smiled in his sleep.

Zenitsu refused to leave your lap, his arms grabbed ahold of you when you tried to push him away. He just need to be near someone because the mission had scared him to the ends of the earth. It was a horrible nightmare for the squad, you were the only willing to put up with him- Or at first.

But you let him stay because you saw how scared he was, you made him lay back on your lap which he happily did. He blushed when you put a hand in his hair and massaged his scalp, he focused on your warmth and breathing. A blanket tucked over him as he closed his eyes and tried to think calming thoughts.

(You know his language is touch, even if it’s platonic)

“Zenitsu,” your voice rang through his ears and he hummed in return, “Can I sing to you? I know how that can relax someone.” You look down and see his eyes open carefully. His cheeks dusted pink as he nodded and closed his eyes back as a way to hide his embarrassment. But it didn’t help. You chuckled softly at him and let your fingers work in his hair.

You began to sing the lullaby, “Where the north wind meets the sea” he listened carefully and his cheeks just burned brighter. He couldn’t believe you were singing to him, to help him sleep. You had a nice voice and sounded soothing.

He relaxed himself and focused on the lyrics and tried not to think of anything else but you, your voice and the hand in his hair. Slowly he drifted deep and deeper into sleep until it took over his body.

Seeing a bubble coming from his noses made you try and not laugh but you found it adorable. If you hadn’t had stayed with him he wouldn’t have been able to sleep and you knew that. So now he is carefree and getting the rest he needs. It filled you with pride.

You pulled him off you carefully and onto the pillow but he put up good fight, until you finally handed him your own pillow and he cuddled that into his body. You smiled and patted his head and got yourself up and headed to bed yourself knowing everyone was asleep.

This wasn’t on his agenda for the night, he wanted to go back to the mansion but you had dragged him in to a dang safe house. He was hurt, and he was tired. So he stayed but kept quiet, until you wouldn’t leave the room while he laid down.

“Why aren’t you leaving?” He turned to see you smile and set down your our own bed things, “I wouldn’t be able to sleep without knowing your safe.” He blinked at you confused until he remembered what had happened on the mission. The two of you got separated which he didn’t think about but you did, looking for him far and wide and got panicked when you didn’t see him.

He remembered you pulling in into a hug and crying about how you thought he was dead or hurt. He was confused at the time and still is confuse why you care so much. “I’m fine.” He closes his eyes and took a deep breath. You look at him and seat yourself down in the sheets and sighed.

It was a few seconds of silence until you started to sing and his eyes shot wide and looked over at you. His eyes the same look as they aways have and he just stared at you. Poor boy was like “👀” in his bed roll. You just turned to him and smiled very sweetly and continued.

He oddly liked your voice and how your song sounded. He couldn’t help but close his own eyes and enjoy the song you sang and just drift to sleep. It was calming and comforting for him.

Maybe you joining his mission weren’t so bad.

This big dummy was so startled the first time you sang him, especially while he was trying to sleep. It was after a mission of course and even if he didn’t want to admit it, he was worried you would be taken. Or die in the middle of the night. The events of the day had him spiraling when he saw you almost get beaten and thrown around.

So you two shared a room and it was comfortable because even though he snores, you were glad he would allow you to.

Inosuke was laying down and his mouth opened and ready to fall asleep. Until he hears your voice start to sing, and down pretty. He shot up so fast, “What the hell are you doing? I’m trying to sleep.” He shouted adt you laughed and stopped. “I like to sing before I go to bed, do you have a song you want?”

He blinked at you and growled, “Just shut up.” But you just laughed and sit back and ignored his wishes and continue to sing. He stayed there for a minute while his eyes twitched, you just ignored him. It pissed him off.

The sound of your voice echoed through the room and his ear’s listening for a minute made his mind stopped for a minute. Why the hell did he feel fuzzy? Why was your singing making him feel different? You looked over him and see his gaze just soften and staring at you, not angry or anything like he normally was. But I’m admiration.

“Come here.” You open your arms for him. Inosuke rolled his eyes and you saw a blush form on his cheeks, “Whatever.” He mumbled trying to get his dignity intact. He pulled his bed closer to yours and lays his head on your chest.

You put your hand in his hair and sang to him, a old song telling a story to make him happy. Inosuke felt calm like this. He wondered how you could just do this to him? Where you a demon with magic to calm him down? Or did you just care, like tanjiro but better?

Whenever it was he was happy to be in your arms.

— Always touching you mindlessly, like resting an elbow on your head/shoulder, tugging you along by the arm toward fun activities, or leaning over you to pick up something. Doesn’t even think about it when he crawls into your lap or drags you into his own, and just scratches at his head when others act scandalized by his public displays of affection.

— Isn’t above making out with you in front of others so you might have to reign him in, even if he doesn’t entirely understand what the big whoop is about sharing spit with you with an audience. In his mind, that just means others will know you’re his “mate” and to not bother competing, not that anyone could compete with “Mountain God, Inosuke!”

— He definitely does the loving “head bonk” thing that cats do. Oftentimes he doesn’t even bother taking his mask off to do that though, and the fur of his mask is a little scratchy :(((

While these things might not seem particularly valuable or significant, they meant something to him. Enough to want to share it with you in hopes it would make you happy too.

I loved the kitsune y/n au. Could do a Yandere hashiras plus Kamaboko squad (your choice) maybe Aoi and Kanao where the S/O is a Dog Yokai. The have dog ears, tail, super sense of smell but they don't transform into their real form not because of they're keeping it a secret but because when they transform they have huge soft paws though good for attacking (claws) not good for holding things. Like this: *not mine*

Plus maybe they have dog instincts like chasing squirrels, digging, burying this. They just can't help it even when they aren't transformed. Plus they have beefs with cats. Maybe they climb up trees and don't know how to get down. (Can see obanai climbing up to retrieve them). Since they're Yokai they don't eat humans but protect them. They could be kakushi.

“You’ve got the spirit of a warrior, my friend!” he cheered as you returned, sheepishly wagging your tail, squirrel long gone.

One day, during a mission, you lost focus, distracted by the scent of flowers in the forest. You began chasing after it, only to trip on a root and land ungracefully in a bush. Rengoku hurried over, lifting you effortlessly. “You’re quite a handful, aren’t you?” he teased, brushing leaves off your tail.

Later, during a campfire, you accidentally wagged your tail into the flames. Panicked, you jumped up, and Rengoku was quick to extinguish the embers. “Be careful, precious companion!” he said, helping smooth out the singed fur. From then on, he made sure you sat far from the fire during their gatherings, ever the watchful protector.

Sanemi

Sanemi was harsh with you, initially skeptical of your intentions. “A Dog Yokai? You expect me to trust you because you wag your tail?”

But his attitude shifted during a mission. You were part of the Kakushi crew cleaning up after a battle when you caught the scent of a lingering demon. Without hesitation, you charged, your claws extended, and tore it down before it could harm anyone. Sanemi, watching from a distance, couldn’t deny your loyalty or strength.

Giyuu didn’t say much when you first joined the Kakushi, but he always seemed to be quietly watching you. You often got distracted during missions, sniffing out scents or chasing small animals. Others would scold you, but Giyuu never did.

One evening, you chased a cat up a tree and found yourself stuck at the top, your paws too clumsy to climb back down. Giyuu stood beneath the tree, staring up at you. “Do you need help?” he asked calmly. Embarrassed, you whimpered softly. Without hesitation, he climbed up, his movements smooth and practiced.

“You need to be more careful,” he said as he helped you down. Though his tone was stern, his touch was gentle. Later, you found him brushing leaves off your tail in silence. You realized then that, despite his reserved demeanor, Giyuu cared deeply for your well-being.

Obanai

Obanai constantly pretended to be annoyed by you. “Do you have to chase every single cat?” he’d grumble, Kaburamaru flicking his tongue in agreement. But he was always the first to climb up after you when you inevitably got stuck in a tree.

TANJIRO would like to raise a dog, standard but oddly fitting for him. I think he would have multiple to be honest, he enjoys breeds that are more active so I would see him with a golden retriever or a Labrador. His pets really like you to!! Almost like he silently taught them to be just like him.

He definitely has dogs that get big but still thinks they are lap dogs 100%. Whenever you come over to his house and sit anywhere it’s a 50% chance a dog will come lay near you, next to you, or usually on top of you. His dogs are kinda spoiled to, he’ll you he scolds them but you caught him giving them treats when he was suppose to one time.

ZENITSU wants something small, not to big and easy to manage. Personally I think he own a bunch of guinea pigs. Very random choice but just hear me out. They remind me of his sparrow, he likes to hold them when he’s around the house. You may see him walking in a thick turtleneck during the summer, but that’s just because his guinea pig is resting in the next area.

They are a little stubborn though, even zenitsu doesn’t know why. They can get mad and almost bit you before, but that’s normally if they haven’t eaten. You don’t what zenitsu feeds them but he definitely has those really thick guinea pigs just for no reason at all. Well there is a reason as you have to invite his guinea pig to the table to eat with you all during dinner. Also obanai is banned from coming over is kaburamaru is tagging along.

INOSUKE probably wants a really unconventional pet, like I bet he tried to convince you to let him get a boar before. In the end he sticks with a dog like tanjiro. Just the breeds are different I bet he wants have to have a doberman or a German Shepard. He wants to train those dogs for war I tell you.

You refused to enter his house for a bit until his dogs get to know you, you preferred keeping in your feet and not getting tackled by his dogs. He likes to play fight with them always playing fetch with them outside. Although besides this you to went a farm that was mixed with a shelter where they have this really small boar. Every time you go there inosuke always spends time without. He named the lil dude megatron.

KANAO I feel like would have a bird of some sorts. A really well trained one as well. Not like a usual house pet but those really expensive exotic birds. She’s trained it and had help from professionals to train it now, it’s at this point where you can almost have full fledged conversation with it. It knows both of your names, the food it likes everything.

Sometimes the bird is unusually smart.. like the time you brought snacks that you and the bird can both eat but kanao never wants you to. When she can back you had everything hidden and the perfect fool proof lie created. Until the bird “coincidentally” said your name and the beaks brand right after. You were the one getting in trouble and her bird face no repercussions.

GENYA is pretty straightforward he just wants a cat. He likes how they’re more chill and calm and sometimes just hang by themselves or with him. also because the cat owning trait was subconsciously influenced by gyomei’s love for cats. It just grew on him eventually. I think I can see him with one of those black and white bicolor cats but I doubt he would care about the breed.

You tend to compare Genya to his cat a lot because of how similar they look in the face. For some reason Genya’s cat just looks mad, all the time. Kamaboko Squad Yandere Headcanons

A/N: Reposting this from my Wattpad book because I don't have any ideas for anything new 🤩

Warnings: Nezuko is platonic, mentions of kidnapping, mild language, and of course, yandere themes

Tanjiro: ➼ If he's the one who loves you as a yandere, you wouldn't even have to lay a finger if you don't want to.

➼ He's the kind who would definitely spoil you. Want some chocolate? You're getting your favorite kind of chocolates, homemade. Too tired to clean up after a long day? He'll help you bathe. He's super respectful, his eyes never wandering to where they don't belong, making you always feel safe within his company. He's definitely househusband material.

➼ He absolutely loves it when he's in both you and Nezuko's company. He adores the fact that you love his sister (probably even more than you love him, but he doesn't need to know that). You being Nezuko's sister-in-law would be his ultimate dream.

➼ He hates the fact that you're also a demon slayer. After almost losing his entire family, his biggest nightmare would be losing you or Nezuko. If he could, he would resign you from the corps immediately.

➼ Tanjiro is more of a protective yandere. Red flag? If you're talking to anyone he doesn't fully trust, you bet your butt he's lurking in the shadows watching you interact with them. If he gets too concerned for your safety, there's a very small chance that he'll kidnap you (it needs to be a very serious concern if he does that). However, he would make sure you'll be comfortable in your room where you're kidnapped, even if you're tied by chains. 

➼ He can't imagine himself being with anyone else. You're his and only his, and he's going to make you see that too. No matter what it takes.

Zenitsu: ➼ Oh god. He would be a handful to deal with.

➼ Hearing "Marry me!!!" would be a common occurrence for you to deal with every day. Your mans would do anything to please you. If you asked him to, he would probably climb Mount. Everest for you. Around you, he would almost always be blushing and giving you compliments. He would make sure you hear that he loves you every single day, which annoys others to no limits.

➼ Zenitsu would do anything to get alone time with you, which rarely happens as he's always surrounded by Inosuke and Tanjiro. When he does get alone time with you though, he would be over the moon. He likes to make you sweets sometimes when he's free, as he's surprisingly good at baking.                              

➼ He thinks absolutely about you is perfect. Fighting demons? You look so awesome. Drinking water? You're pretty as hell. Talking? His full attention is on your pretty face. Showering? He thinks your body looks- erm, never mind. 

➼ The only thing he dislikes regarding you is how Tanjiro and Inosuke are always around you. If they aren't, you're around Nezuko. Sure, he loves them too, but he loves you the most. Probably more than anything in the entire world.

➼ He would be more of a delusional yandere. Red flag? He gets jealous very often. Really often. If he thinks you're not giving enough attention to him, he'll probably go sulk somewhere till you grow worried and come to find him. Or maybe he'll try to make you jealous instead, by clinging to someone else, probably Nezuko (earning bonus glares by Tanjiro).

➼ In his mind, both of you are meant to be with each other. Maybe he's too scared to actually make a move on you for now, but he'll do it. Eventually. 

Inosuke: ➼ The only thing I can say is, SAYONARA.

➼ God, it would take him decades to realize his feelings for you. He often mistakes his feelings for competitiveness, so he would demand fights from you at least twice a day at minimum. He gets very reckless with you during fights to calm down his energy from simply seeing you. He would act the same around you as he does with Tanjiro and Zenitsu, but still somewhat calmer and more protectively.

➼ He's happy as long as he's around you, although he would never admit it. You taught him to read and write basic Japanese, so he even writes you letters when you're away on solo missions in distant places, although they usually look like "If you get injured by those bastard demons, I'll kill you." Yeah, Zenitsu taught him to write swear words.

➼ He craves physical touch, whether it's romantic or in a fight. He doesn't care as long as his skin is in contact with yours. It could be simply holding hands, but knowing that you're with him at the moment is very comforting for him. You probably don't mind holding hands with him either.

➼ He hates how you could be reckless and jump in to save someone if needed. Sure, he's even more reckless, but he can't understand why you would risk yourself in order to protect a random stranger. He would much rather sacrifice himself over you.

➼ In a fight, you both are a very good duo. Your abilities are very similar (the only thing is that Inosuke can't detect auras, but he's much better at things like spatial awareness), and his recklessness is often balanced by your strategic approach to battles. However, whenever you tell him strategies to continue a fight, he wouldn't listen nine out of ten times. But when he does get too injured to continue fighting Inosuke style, he puts your strategies into practice.

➼ He's a total possessive yandere. Red flag? He doesn't know how to express his feelings very well. Even if he wants to do something as wholesome as hugging, he's gonna ask for it in a very aggressive way like "OI (Y/N), HUG ME OR ELSE 🔪". Red flag #2? His possessiveness can get out of control. He dislikes it whenever you make independent decisions and/or tell him to do something. He wants you to be fully dependent on him.

➼ If it were up to him, he would kidnap you and never let you out of his sight. You were his, no matter what.

Nezuko:  ➼ She absolutely adores you, just as much as she adores Tanjiro. She could never choose between the two of you, though. To her, you're both irreplaceable. 

➼ Nezuko. Absolutely. Loves. Cuddles. She wouldn't be able to function normally if she didn't get her daily dose of cuddles and head pats. She hates how she's unable to talk to you normally because of her muzzle. If she could talk normally though, she would spend the entire day chatting with you. Not a single moment of boredom would exist.

➼ She can easily understand you most of the time, and you can understand her too eight out of ten times. In her perfect version of life, Tanjiro and you would be married and all three of you would live in the same home (maybe even along with Urokodaki). She tends to see the three of you and Urokodaki as a family.

➼ Like Tanjiro, she hates the fact that you have to put yourself in danger along with Tanjiro. What if something happened to you while she was peacefully sleeping? Just thinking about that makes her extremely paranoid.

➼ A high-pitched "mhm-hmm" means she's happy. If it's a low-pitched one, that means that she is determined to complete the task that she's been assigned. A single quiet "hmm" means that she's sad and/or craving your attention.

➼ She's a clingy yandere. Red flag? It's easy for her to manipulate you into doing something she wants. She's aware of her cuteness and she's not afraid to use it as a weapon. Nevertheless, she would never manipulate you into doing something that she knows would upset you too much.

➼ I would be willing to place my bets that the Kamado siblings are secretly conspiring with each other to make you know that you belong with them, and ONLY them.

AN: This headcanon wasn't a request, but one that I thought of doing myself, but you can ask for one if you want! <3

Tanjiro Kamado

— He's nice to most people, that's a fact, but he's even nicer to the people he cares about.

— Tanjiro is happy to see you playing with your younger brothers, he thinks it's the cutest thing in the world when you do Hanako and Nezuko's hair or play board games with Kanata.

— He helps you study, this boy is really smart and knows how to explain well. You are in good hands.

— He is very happy when you help him cook, and if you can't make some part of the recipe he will help you.

— He'll want you to meet his friends, and he'd be happy to see you getting along with them.

— He cares about your well being and feelings, and is always there if you need comfort, this boy is just an angel <3

Zenitsu Agatsuma

— Yes, he is scared and whiny, but he is a loyal friend and loves you <3

— He's smart, but not very good at explaining. He tries his best, but always ends up fumbling a little.

— Very, very affectionate. Zenitsu will hug you whenever he can, he will always walk close to you. You are his best friend after all.

— When he gets sad or scared, Zenitsu will come to you looking for comfort.

— He doesn't much like how Inosuke acts impolitely, and is jealous of Tanjiro and his far too kind treatment of you.

— He is capable of facing his fears for you. As his best friend, you have a special place in his heart.

Inosuke Hashibira

— He is certainly the most restless among you, regardless of whether you are a quiet person or not.

— Always gets you into trouble, which has gotten you a fair amount of scolding.

— Sometimes it ends up being a little impolite, but don't get so mad. He has some difficulty expressing how he feels.

— He'll take you to meet his friends, even if he creates some competitions to get your attention.

— It's not a good help to study, please, if you want some help ask someone else.

— Inosuke is someone fussy and quarrelsome, but a really loyal friend who will be there for you in most situations <3

Nezuko Kamado

— Usually likes your help cooking, whether it's something for an outing or just snacks for the afternoon.

— She is affectionate, she likes to hug you and comb your hair. She always asks Hanako to join in when you're at her house.

— Smart, but not very good at explaining. She can help you understand something when she tries hard.

— She is not a very agitated person, so the girl usually prefers to just talk or play with you.

— Nezuko is sleepy, especially after expending energy, so you end up being the girl's “private pillow” most of the time.

— She's calm, sleepy and all, but can be someone really excited when it comes to making you happy or just being around you <3

Genya Shinazugawa

— The entire Kimetsu Academy wonders how you can be best friends with someone as scary as Genya, but little do they know that the boy is a sweetheart <3

— Even with a frown on his face 90% of the time, Shinazugawa is a true angel to you and always shows his gentler side.

— He is not a genius in subjects that require calculations, like mathematics, but he does his best to be able to help you!

— Sanemi knows you, and even though he is the way he is, he's happy inside that his little brother has a friend.

— The kind of friend who is always there for you, ready to cheer you up in happy times or comfort you in sad ones.

— He introduced you to the Kamaboko Squad, first to Tanjiro because he knew the boy would be kind to you.

Kanao Tsuyuri

— Quiet, very quiet, but she tries to be more open with you and her sisters.

— She's good with botany, and she'll help you plant and care for the flowers if you like it too.

— Tsuyuri really prefers to stay at home, reading a book that interests both of them or watching a movie.

— She's very smart, but average when it comes to explaining, so she ends up asking a few questions.

— She's already introduced you to her friends, although she still feels much more at home when she's with you.

— Kanao is not the best person when it comes to comforting with words or communicating in general, but for you she tries <3

Aoi Kanzaki

— She is certainly the most responsible among you, acting almost like a big sister.

— Intelligent but without much patience to explain, although it is a help.

— The kind of friend who is concerned about your well-being, always ready to give you a hug or a scolding.

— She introduced you to her friends, and she is happy inside to see you talking and having fun with them.

— Not fond of affection, but she makes an exception for you when you're alone.

— A very kind friend in her own way, taking care of you like a sister, showing her more loving side to you always <3

Could I request Inosuke, Sanemi, and Giyu with an s/o who's the complete opposite to them, right down to having different breathing styles and weapon choices?

Inosuke

Has challenges with things that are different.

He also doesn’t know anything about these stupid ‘breathing styles’ and ‘sword art forms’.

He fights from within and his own animal instincts, so he has no time for this training bull.

But, despite not respecting their fighting style, Inosuke does appreciate their calm demeanor and good manners. He finds their calm very soothing.

Sanemi

Despite his attitude towards other Slayers and technique, Sanemi does respect them as a useful tool in fighting their demon enemy.

He also greatly respect the Earth style techniques; which may just be related to his respect for Gyomei.

Sanemi always wished he could learn Stone or Earth styles, but his fighting style & personality is too erratic to learn.

He finds being around someone who is always calm and subdued unnerving. At first he thinks they’re like Kocho, just pretending to be nice & soft spoken. When he finds out it’s real, he gets nervous because he doesn’t want to scare them. Calms down considerably when they are around.

Giyu

He’s just come to the conclusion that in order to be a Fire breath user, you have to be just a ball of sunshine.

Tanjiro, Rengoku, his little brother….

Fire is about as willful and hard to manage as water. So despite the different styles they do have that in common.

Giyu wishes he could be as expressive and upbeat as they are. He knows that he could be, if he just tried, but it’s been so long that it’s hard. He’s amazed everyday that someone as shining as they are wants to be with a grump like him, but he appreciates it every day.
