I liked the War Arc , atleast the first half. It felt like a real war going on , where all the Shinobi are united , fighting at different fronts. Talking about second part, I feel it was messed up , especially the eye 'parcing the parcel’ thing.

Kaguya , Raikdou Senin , Indra , Ashura weren't out of nowhere , Raikdou Sennin was refrenced many times in Shippuden. And this story indeed gave the reason for Uchiha -Senju fights , origin of Shinobi , chakra and ninjutsu. But deep down I feel that making Naruto-Sasuke Indra-Ashura re incarnates was unnecessary.

Female Characters:

I belive the female characters are often sidelined and aren't given major role in the storyline as the males.

Again , the female characters could have been written better ,with their own time to shine.

I consider Karin's backstory nothing more than a head cannon . Its in the Tsukuyomi FILLER arc and so I don't consider it canon, as its not present in Manga.

I like Karin and Sakura's Friendship. I like the way they respect each other. Though it isnt shown on screen , it's good to know that they are friends than having ill will towards each other ..

I do not think Sakura is treated as main character, really , compared to Naruto and Sasuke who play pivotal role in the storyline , Sakura is playing role in background.(Unlike her mother , I wish Sarada gets adequate devlopement and major role in story)

I am not really fond of female characters in Naruto. As of the main female character , Sakura , I am neutral towards her tho I have many problems with her character . I like Kushina .

I don't really like Hinata. I am not fond of excessively shy girls anyway.

Hinata had many possible way to grow as a character and Shinobi , but alas she didnt.(atleast not upto my expectation) She did came for a girl always watching Naruto’s back to a girl who could be upfront about her feelings And try to walk together with Naruto, I appreciate that .

I feel ,she would have been better off , if her charcater or rather her role in the story wasn't centered to N-Naruto-Kun. I'd really like if she had became the clan head , and bring a reform in the clan , as she witnessed the problems related to the clan , especially the main and side branch. With Byakugan and now Hamura's chakra she could have done wonders , but Boruto isnt treating her well.

Sakura:

She doesn't deserve the hate she gets. 80% of people hate her due to some misconception about her character. She is mostly subjected to double standards by the community.

I think the major problem with her character is how her devlopement goes to and fro , a fine example is Land of Iron Arc . All her devlopement in Shippuden was curbed in the snow.

In my opinion she is far more competent and achieved many things at the age of 17 compared to other kunoichi of her age.

Sakura wanking is just out of the world. Her wankers or whatever need to stop over-praising her and create false post to make her seem great .

I do not find her punching Naruto as funny , sometimes it's fine but over doing it makes it irritating. Nonetheless , I understand that Kishi added as a comic relief and it shouldn't be taken seriously.

Her bond with Naruto and Sasuke is highly underrated. While , I understand this because how her character goes to peak and then falls.

Talking about Naruto and Sakura Friendship , Sakura was amongst the first few people to acknowledge him and supported his dream of being Hokage , OUT LOUD.

Despite having crush on Sakura , Naruto acknowledged that her feelings will be directed wholly and solely towSasuke . He acted like a support and reassurance when Sasuke left the village.

Both of them support , acknowledge and praise each others abilities

Though what Sakura did was completely wrong in Land of Iron Arc, her intention was to help Naruto, and stop burdening him from the promise. Same way, she wanted to kill Sasuke , so that he doesn't dwell in darkness even more.

About , Sasuke and Sakura…well Sakura was annoying fangirl at start , but she did grow up from that, I admit at start her image of Sasuke was highly superficial , but the image shattered down slowly, first in the Land of Waves.

The notion of Sasuke being jerk towards Sakura comes from the fact he is brutally honest and blunt . Sakura was annoying at start, and as a Shinobi she was even behind Naruto , she could have utilize the time for training ,than flirting with Sasuke. He said this in front of her , and it was true. He was being completely honest with her

Sasuke wasn't rude, arrogant,uncaring , unkind towards Sakura at start. Infact, it was quite opposite . He cared about her a lot, and considered her to be a precious person who he didn't wanted to lose , yet again. He had been vulnerable and unguarded infront of Sakura many times. He opened up first time about the massacre and also the Otsutsuki threat (not directly tho) to Sakura. Unlike other girls , Sasuke didn't push off Sakura rather allowed her to touch him physically. He did acknowledge her ability and also was thankful for her love & genuinely sorry for the pains she had to go thro bcoz of him.

Though Sakura's crush at start was superficial and she was a fangirl, she really started loving him , and her love for Sasuke indeed help her grow as a character. It was one of the driving force for her to get strong.

Ships:

I ship Sasuke and Sakura. I am completely okay with people not liking this ship

Even though I am die hard SasuSaku shipper , I feel NaruSaku did make sense. I don't understand why many fans claim it's absurd and wierd. Naruto had a legit crush on Sakura and they had more screen time than the canon ship. Having said that , Kishi himself teased the ship many times. It completely make sense people shipping them. Its way better than shipping an adult and child or people who didnt even have conversation or met each other. I know that many crazy people gave death threats to Kishi and all , but we can't generalize all the shippers ,right?I have seen NaruSaku shipper being completely fine with them being just best friends in Boruto. But that DOESN'T mean that I validate or support hideous and bizzare questions and theories, like Naruto/Sakura should ditch their respective partners etc etc.

Instead of Naruto seeing Genjutsu and realising his love , they could have added more NaruHina moments in Shippuden and make him realise that he loved Hinata.

General Characters:

I don't like Jiraya. His perverted personality rub me off the wrong way. As a Sensei , I think he was a bit irresponsible. While he actually taught Naruto, Summoning , dispelling genjutsu , and Rasengan but all the important things like Sennin mode and Nine tails mode was learnt after his death. Honestly , his death was not that emotional for me as for many other fans , for me it was like any other Shinobi dying.

Jiraya is overrated and over-gratified

I am not that fond of Neji either , again his death wasn't emotional for me.

Kakashi wasn't a good sensei at all , even he was irresponsible and ignorant. Unlike popular belief , I dont see him as a father-figure to either memebers of Team 7.

Naruto and Sasuke 's friendship is one of the most well written and devloped relationship. I don't have any qualms with Naruto going lengths to save Sasuke .

Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura are misunderstood by many fans.

Oof I WISH there were more tobirama dies ideas. A lot of people seem to believe in asshole Hashi, or that's he'd handle it better than mada, but in my heart I know he would've eventually lost it worse than mada. The problem is that tobi very clearly won. Like he won. 100%. Izuna lost. And no matter how I look at it, I can only see tobi losing there if he was holding back.

As I said, SKILL ISSUE lmao

But more seriously there's enough randomness on the battlefield that I could honestly see Izuna getting the W instead. A rock turning your ankle at the wrong time, a distraction, etc. There but for the grace of God go I and all.

Some people like to headcanon that Izuna was poisoned by Zetsu or some other third party, but I don't think so. The whole situation is just a matter of you can only keep the balls in the air for so long--you can't dance with the devil indefinitely. The coin flipped, and Izuna's number was the one that came up.

I like to imagine that Izuna and Tobirama have always been aiming for death blows, and they're both just mutually good enough to have been holding things in a stalemate for as long as they have been. Madara and Hashirama have that dose of familiarity that lets them be kinda playing for so long, but Izuna and Tobirama don't have that fondness. They're professionals, completely serious.

I do think Tobirama was honestly surprised when Izuna never came back to the battlefield, though. He didn't seriously think that was it once he sliced the salami (of Izuna's ribcage). The Hiraishin was his frantic attempt to keep up with unmatchable Sharingan hax; he didn't feel like he had this in the bag so much as he felt it was another day in the office, if you get what I mean.

Founders and their love languages.

TOBIRAMA

In terms of how he both expresses love and what makes him feel the most loved acts of service, and quality time/ giving their undivided attention and valuing their intellect and showing interests in their interests are at the top.

Acts of service is slightly more so how he shows his love for people (whether or not he realises he loves them lmao). He will rarely if ever tell people out right how much he cares about them (partially because he's emotionally constipated lol, but also because to him actions speak louder than words, and he doesn't understand what people want him to say either way). Something always goes wrong whenever he tries to talk about it lol (senju brothers miscommunication angst where u at). He'll take on as much as he can for other people, and take care of little things behind the scenes to make people's lives easier. Like Hashirama is a forgetful, disorganised mess who struggles with staying on task and concentrating/ not getting distracted. And Tobirama is the complete opposite lol (the senju brothers are the adhd/ autism siblings combo fight me on it). So Tobirama will make sure to get him back on task, or he'll take on more of Hashirama's work, as well as make systems and squedules for him to follow. He'll also help him clean, and he actually organised his entire household in a way that's easier for him to maintain. He'll leave notes lying around where hashi can see them reminding him of little things he needs to get done (like food shopping, laundry, or some important paperwork he needs to look over).

After becoming friends he did the same with with Izuna, with much less success lol since Izuna takes offence. Which forces them to communicate (something they're both shit at lmao). After that he always asks if Izuna is okay with him doing things for him, or if he wants help with something (especially since Izuna does all that for him too, the hypocrite), and he goes from offended to gladly saying yes to most everything since Tobirama asked first. And Tobi gets it as well, since he doesn't appreciate ppl barrelling into his life and accidentally messing up his carefully crafted systems either (but he does really appreciate little things that don't encroach on his boundaries). He actually likes it when people take care of him for a change, even if he pretends not to to try to save face lmao.

In terms of quality time, if he goes out of his way to spend time with someone, if he gives them his undivided attention that says a lot about how he feels about them. Sometimes he goes semi non speaking when going through burnout and doesn't have the energy to so much as try to interact with people. So if he allows anyone into his space at that point he's really comfortable and they're definitely doing something right since he trusts them not do anything that would overstimulate him further. Hashirama understands it well, and he'll even do his best to tamper down his chakra so it's less overwhelming. Izuna also catches on pretty quickly once they become friends, and they'll spend hours sitting quietly in Tobirama's office or lab, then eventually his house, either working or relaxing. It quickly becomes one of Izuna's favourite things, and that means more to Tobirama than he'd ever admit lol. Izuna will even leave little sketches he makes of Tobirama or just random interesting things he's captured with his sharingan over the years, lying around for him to find. And Tobirama keeps them. Only because they are actually very good, and definitely not because he secretly loves that Izuna's put the time and thought into making something for him.

Izuna isn't exactly a genius in the way Tobirama is with all his inventions, but he does learn quickly, and he takes interest in Tobirama's research. He tries to play it off as oh he just refuses to let Tobirama be better than him at anything, but Tobirama knows that's not true, especially when Izuna goes out of his way to learn about things just so he can actually discuss them in depth, and keep up. And honestly that's the fastest way to his heart lol, Izuna goes from 'former enemy I mutually respect and understand, and feel compraderie with', to 'I think I'm growing very fond of you, you're my friend now and you're going to be in my life for a long time, you have no say in the matter at this point.'

In turn he also takes interest in Izuna's interests (mostly art, dance, theatre etc, but also how to understand and manipulate ppl). And boi oh boi when Tobirama learns that there is a sort of science behind it, that you can recognise patterns and learn rules of social interactions, and the internal mechanisms of ppl's minds and what makes them tick, what will make them react in certain ways etc. For a solid few months he becomes completely hyperfixated on understanding ppl, starting with the ppl in his life. And Izuna thinks oh shit I think I created a monster (affectionate).

Madara Uchiha

🌑I see chances higher that he would want children whilst he was still part of his clan and part of the village because it would just make more sense for him to feel the need to want children with his darling, specifically since he has the head of his clan and there has to be a heir at one point. Next to that for him a child just means a possession mark, something that binds his darling on him forever. After he went rogue that need disappeared and he was totally fanatic afterwards, I can’t see him in that scenario wanting a child that badly like during his time in the clan.

🌑So that’s the scenario I’m going with as well. He pretty much tightens security after he found out that his darling is pregnant and he was also pretty proud to find out about it as well. Caused definitely a scene in his clan as well because everyone was somewhat excited for the future heir and the eldest of the clan hoped for a strong child since Madara himself is quite the powerful man. Madara also finds himself seeking the presence of his darling more during this time since he starts feeling he should bond a bit more with you before the child is born. He is ruthless, but he has some sort of heart during this time because after the betrayal of his own clan he turned more harsh, but we’re talking about him still being in that clan so that is him being a slightly softer version. But he still has his job to do as the head of his clan, though he definitely lets some men watch over his darling.

🌑I would say whoever was assigned to watch over you is...doomed to put it harmlessly. He wouldn’t probably go too violent against them, they’re still family for him. But he has a scary outburst of anger and lashes out on them and no one really dares in that moment to tell him to calm down, not when he looks like he is about to fight, Sharingan having been activated. He needs some time to calm himself down and if this is already after Izuna’s death, there is already a certain aspect of paranoia in here which makes him feeling extremely on edge and since everyone knows that his darling is pregnant, probably in an earlier stage, the whole clan panics and helps him due to that searching for her.

🌑It isn’t like he could punish his darling for this, not whilst she is pregnant because even he is sane enough to realize that. Instead he probably plans on ruining someone close to her, family and friends for example and afterwards not let her leave the house for a while anymore, that’s probably what he plans on doing. But his mind goes for a moment blank when he finds her heavily injured, still alive, but looking like she had been attacked. It’s like everyone just holds their breath for a moment, waiting for his reaction. Approximately two or three seconds silence before he explodes and sees red.

🌑Whoever did this to you, they’ll die a very violent and brutal death and against Madara it is in most cases a very unfair match since that man has power on his side. Let’s keep the baby alive to prevent him from going on a rampage and since I don’t like writing about babies dying. Needless to say that you just increased his paranoia by a lot and as soon as you are in a better shape, he will yell at you too for being so unbelievably dumb to be that way, though he is less angry than paranoid and anxious. He cares for the child, not in a completely normal way, but still. Just like he cares in his own sense for you and that experience made his nerves jittery. Afterwards he becomes more unwilling to leave you as well and he keeps his promise of not letting you leave the house anymore.

Hashirama Senju

🌳He strikes me as a total family man, not gonna lie here. He most likely wants a big family with his darling as well, though he wouldn’t force her into anything if she doesn’t want it. But similar to Madara he grew up in a big family and is a more classy guy in that sense. And being in a powerful clan the aspect of the next heir will play here a role as well, though Hashi doesn’t care about that. It’s more the clan who would wish for a heir that is his own child and maybe even inherits his kekkai genkai which would be great.

🌳He’s just totally happy and excited about the pregnancy once he finds out about it and Tobirama and Mito will definitely be the first people to find out about this, afterwards the clan and in the end the whole village. And with Hashirama being the beloved Hokage of the village, everyone will be supportive and happy with this, especially the clan since now the next heir will be born in a few months. Not like Hashi would let his kid (wrote once before that I see him with a son) ever be exposed to all the pressure his clan might put on him. He doesn’t want to leave his darling alone either, but as the Hokage he is busy and Mito is for the most party the one he entrusts you with.

🌳But Hashirama is also easily manipulated since he trusts his darling as long as she a ts like she loves him and he believes it. So there might be a time where you talk him into letting you be alone for a bit before someone comes to check up on you since you are still carrying a child. He isn’t really angry, for the most part he has just a total heart attack since not only could you get hurt, but you’re also pregnant and Hashirama knows that sue to him being head of his clan, Hokage and also a really strong shinobi you have a target painted on your back, meaning there will be troubles if someone takes you. He’s just in despair, overthinking and extremely worried to the extent where it makes him feel sick. His clan falls in panic as well, especially his brother since he knows how much Hashirama loves you. The clan most likely doesn’t let the village find out for now, wanting to keep it a secret whilst searching intensely for his darling.

🌳He doesn’t plan on hurting his darling, not even if she wouldn’t be pregnant. He just plans on lecturing her and showing that he is disappointed because he doesn’t think escaping whilst being pregnant is a good idea. The biggest part of lecturing and scolding will be done by his brother anyways since Hashi is soft and there actually is not that solid of a reason to escape him since he totally just loves his darling and spoils her. He is already worried to death at this point so just imagine what happens when he see his darling heavily injured. I would say he loses a bit of his sanity, even more considering that you’re carrying.

🌳Okay, listen here. Hashirama really is a nice guy. He is lenient with others, he is friendly, he forgives people. But he has a line where he snaps as well and finding his darling heavily injured, possibly leading to a miscarriage with the child, crosses said line and that’s when he stops being funny and nice, that’s when he becomes serious and it’s just a really unfair fight where he will destroy the other person given his power. He grows more clingy and paranoid afterwards as well and just glues himself to his darling’s and the baby’s side all the time. Not only him, the whole clan will afterwards watch like a hawk over the darling. She might not even try to escape him after that anyways, not after she was attacked and he saved her.

Tobirama Senju

🌊He might be classic in the sense that he wants to marry his darling, but I can’t really see him wanting children. He’s a busy man to start with as the Second Hokage and whilst he grew up in a big family as well, he doesn’t feel the same desire to have one himself, though family is still extremely important to him. He might have the thoughts once he marries his darling, but he wouldn’t talk about it unless he either gets his darling accidentally pregnant or she wants a family. Don’t see him handling more than three children anyways.

🌊He definitely is being congratulated by everyone from his clan because whilst he might not be head of his clan, the eldest still look forward to his child being born since he is still considered a genius. Hashirama is most likely totally excited about being an uncle as well and he might come over as more enthusiastic than Tobi himself. That is of course not true, but Tobirama is still a bit more flustered from all of this since he doesn’t know how to treat a pregnant woman. Mito ends up giving him tips and he softens in the end up and is also proud about becoming a father after having a few months of learning to appreciate fatherhood.

🌊He is still a very busy man, but he also tries to take more time which he can spend with his darling since his overprotectiveness is the one or another way being increased due to the knowledge that she’s carrying his child. Tobirama is all too aware that due to you being his darling, you are definitely being targeted by the one or other people who want to get under his skin and who want to blackmail him and especially now he can’t effort to let this happen. He still has his job to do, but the number of Anbu will increase when he isn’t there.

🌊And they’re the ones who will have to go through him being extremely furious and enraged with them as soon as he hears that his s/o managed to escape, feeling beyond frustrated and stressed out that she did it despite all of the safeguards he placed on her. Next to that he is concerned as well, knowing that you running freely around isn’t exactly safe, not when meeting the wrong people. Anyways, he’s a logical man and will work quickly to get his darling back and since he is an excellent sensory type, he might be able to track his darling down extremely fast. The bad thing about it, he might also notice due to the weak chakra presence that something is wrong with you.

🌊To whoever did this to his darling, they’re officially just signed their death certificate with doing this because saying that this man is boiling with wrath is an understatement and whoever accompanied him on this rescue mission know that as well. He just straightforward massacres whoever did this, he loses just his cool and attacks with all his anger and madness which ends in a catastrophe for his opponent. He doesn’t even calm down afterwards, how could he? It makes him on the opposite much more paranoid and overprotective over her and the unborn baby. Tobirama tries to stick afterwards more closer to his darling as often and long as possible as he can since after this incident he has a harder time focusing when he isn’t near you and it only increases the following months.

Orochimaru

🐍I had a seriously hard time imagining this since Orochimaru is a sadist and overall views his darling more as a toy than an actual human, he views anyone that way. As his toys to play with if they happen to catch his interest in a way. So being pregnant whilst having him as a Yandere won’t work unless we’re talking about him after the war because after that he became a bit more better to be with since he was able to untangle his wrapped feelings a bit. I can see this still being an accident since he probably never thought about children before.

🐍I guess he is kind of interested once he finds out about it? I mean, it is the best reaction you could get from him when telling him that his darling is pregnant because different from his past self he tries to be helpful. He probably tries to convince Tsunade into helping him, though she might just feel horrified for the darling and child and threaten him to seriously kill him if he should do something to either of them, experimenting or something like this. He won’t do it, his old him would have done it. But not him, though he does admit that he feels curious about the powers and abilities of the child.

🐍It isn’t really anger he feels once he senses that his darling has escaped because different from Hashi or Tobi, he pretty much doesn’t let others watch over his darling and he doesn’t spend too much time with his darling either, though he doesn’t leave her completely alone either. He is still kind of busy with experimenting, though not on living humans anymore. If his darling wants o help or even has experience in it, he will of course let her help, but otherwise he doesn’t spend much time with her. He might let his snakes keep her in check, though he also feels like he has installed from past experiences enough fear in her to not try to do this. He still has confidence in finding his darling, he views it in all honesty more as pathetic, though he knows why she would try it. But it isn’t like he lets her get away.

🐍He is pretty much on his own when it comes to the point of finding his darling, but he alone is probably enough. He has just so many tricks and jutsus up his sleeve that he most likely has some hidden ace to find his darling and for that is pretty calm about all of this, though still displeased by this. But it is so much better in comparison to how he would have reacted if he would have still been his sadistic self. That would have ended in lots of pain from his darling’s side and a lot of sadistic fun from his side so there is serious improvement in his behavior. A post-time Orochimaru doesn’t plan on hurting his darling whilst she is pregnant, though he won’t let it slide either. Would probably terrify his darling a bit to make her stay in line.

🐍With being said that he is surprisingly calm with all of this, that changes the moment he finds and figures that someone has heavily injured his darling and who exactly did it. That just really manages to make him feel some sort of hot and burning feeling inside of him where the wish comes up to torture someone once again, though he takes first of all his darling to Tsunade, though he knows he will have to take a beating from Tsunade for letting this happen to his darling, but at the very least he takes that risk. And Orochimaru is pretty terrifying once someone displeases him so it will end surely with someone’s limbs being removed.

Shikamaru Nara

🦌In all honesty, if someone asks him about how he feels about having children he might just answer that taking care of a child is just such a drag for him to do, though that is not completely true. After his sensei’s death he came to realize that children are the future of the village and he does look out after Kurenai and the child as well since he promised to do it after Azusa died. Having his own children is of course a different topic which he doesn’t bring really up unless someone else asks him about it or even his own darling. It isn’t like he hates the thought of a family, he’s just a bit more lazy about it. He takes his time.

🦌He is totally flustered when he gets to know that he is going to be a father, the genius here didn’t see this coming, though he might have noticed the signs before his darling did so. And he starts panicking a bit because he doesn’t really know what to do and how to act which ends with him asking all his friends and Kurenai for possible advice. But everyone congratulates him for the pregnancy and his new fatherhood and he himself is happy as well, though still more nervous than usual since women during pregnancy tend to be more...unpredictable. It doesn’t stop him from putting up with it though so don’t worry.

🦌Feel like it is just so unlikely to try to escape from him because he is just such a chill Yandere in general and he manages to fly under the public radar, meaning he doesn’t stand out. He’s just so low-key with his behavior since he has legendary self-control over himself and is for the biggest part able to have a normal relationship for his darling. So her escaping requires them finding out and feeling terrified of it and Shikamaru is aware of that fact which horrifies him even more than he already is. He is not angry with his darling, he new that they might try to escape if they would ever find out about him. But the current situation is just extremely unfortunate now that she’s nearing his child and he just stresses out.

🦌He has to work out a plan on how to make her stay afterwards so she doesn’t try to escape again and he has quite a couple of friends which are willing to help him. A good thing about Shikamaru is that he just doesn’t catch the attention from others regarding his feelings which means that no one except him knows why exactly his darling ran away from him, they only know that Shikamaru is extremely concerned and for that they are all ready to help him out. Spoilers below: Things revealed in 2 chapters plus some widely(?) known part 1 headcanons I've incorporated into the later chunin plot:

This is a liiiitle off topic but we have an Anko PoV coming up in the 11th chapter of the chunin exams (not this week but next) that explains more about the history of the Forest of Death/why she chose it and part of the reason is this: Anko is trying to protect the forest (for her personal reasons that I won't say now) from Danzou who's trying to petition Hiruzen to tear it down and that's because Konoha doesn't actually have Hashirama's body. That's why Sai mentioned no one knows where the Shodai died, they all just assume the big ass scary forest had something to do with it.

The cells Orochimaru used for his experiments were ones Tobirama had preserved (he wasn't doing the fucked up kind of experiments with Hashirama's cells but he thought the mokuton, a kekkei genkai no one had seen before or since, deserved to be studied. This also ties into my headcanon that Orochimaru admired Tobirama above any other Hokage and, for better or worse, thought of him as a kindred soul. Now if Tobirama would agree with that is a different story...anyway I'm getting off-topic). The big issue with this is...Hashirama cells are a finite resource, one that is almost gone. But the Forest of Death is the best guess as to where Hashirama died, where his body may be recovered. Orochimaru and Danzou have an interest in getting more cells because of their own experiments: Orochimaru's mokuton/sage research and Danzou and his freaky-ass arm (I also love the headcanon answer to 'why did Orochimaru invade Konoha? Suna did bc they were dying and desperate but what about him?' Because if Danzou was made Hokage after Hiruzen's death, he would allow Orochimaru to continue his experiments/give him Konoha resources under the table (ie Hashirama cells)).

Orochimaru comes to the exam to kill 2 birds with 1 stone: find the body/general location to give to Danzou, and nab Sasuke. Kabuto's "what about Team 13" piqued his interest but he doesn't quite believe the terrors are who they say they are yet (but if they are, more sharingan and possibly living Hashirama cells which he'll take). All of this to say, the Curse Mark is based on Hashirama's cells and I won't say who gets bit/what happens but it'll be...verrrry interesting. (IE that's going to be our main mid-point climax and it's going to chrank the insanity level from 10 to 100 😂)

Let’s assume that because this man is from a time when things were being created, arranged marriages were only just beginning to be implemented.

And… Indra is not going to like that at all. No one can tell him what to do, no one can want to manage his life. Even though his father considers it best to marry him off to someone from another village, he feels used, as if he were an offering.

Of course, he will not say anything, he does not communicate his feelings or his disagreement with the situation, he simply follows the orders he receives from his progenitor.

Thanks to his discomfort, he can never connect with the person he is marrying. The anger he feels for experiencing that situation and being offered as a husband to someone he doesn’t even love blinds him, and if the person he now has next to him is worth it, he cannot appreciate it.

His new relationship never develops, never blossoms, and in fact when Indra explodes and reveals himself against his family for being betrayed, the person he was forced to marry is the first one he kills with his new Sharingan, feeling pure satisfaction. He makes sure that his father is in the front row to see everything.

Madara

In Madara’s period arranged marriages were commonplace, but this does not mean that this Uchiha accepted it.

He resists and delays it as much as possible, receiving constant requests and reminders from the elders of the clan, basically begging him to marry anyone to conceive heirs.

The only reason he ended up agreeing is because Hashirama is marrying Mito, and in this man’s head that seems like a challenge from his old friend. To participate in the bet, he also gets himself a partner.

Madara is a tough nut to crack, and because his arranged marriage is only meant to benefit his clan and his competition with his best friend, the only time he connects with the person he’s marrying is when they cross paths with Hashi and Mito.

Eventually, this man ends up giving in to the person next to him, and paying a little attention to their attitudes, actions, details. He ends up falling in love and enjoying being with them.

Izuna

He gets it done, but it doesn’t mean he likes it.

This Uchiha is a true romantic, and he always had the illusion of falling madly in love with the person he would spend the rest of his life with. When he learns that he must marry someone from another clan for convenience as his older brother, his heart breaks and his mind is filled with anger.

He follows everything to the letter, as he has the greatest respect for Madara, and although the latter tried to do everything possible to avoid the situation for his little brother, he could not succeed.

When the ceremonies and tedious processes are over, and the curious eyes leave Izuna and his new partner alone, this man takes the first opportunity to leave and seek solitude away from the one who is now tied for life.

He usually spends a lot of time with Madara, whole nights with him, talking on the roof of his house, while Izuna drops a couple of tears when he confesses that as a man, he really wanted to find love in this life and not end up like this.

Obito

Certainly, doesn’t know what to think.

He doesn’t care about having to marry someone, because his heart and all his feelings are still completely dedicated to Rin, and no one will ever be able to change that.

This man is indifferent to the issue in general, but appreciates the fact that he now knows that someone will be with him all the time, and will not be left with his tortuous thoughts of guilt.

He develops a great relationship with the person next to him, a beautiful friendship at the beginning, full of innocence and sweetness, full of conversations that abound with any kind of topics of interest. As he gets to know his partner, it dawns on him that perhaps this arranged marriage is a kind of miracle in his existence.

With the help and patience of the other person, he learns to put behind his mind the feelings for Rin that kept him living in the past, and this is how he dares to turn his life around, with a partner who can give him the love he deserves.

Shisui

Although arranged marriages are a tradition, by the time of Shisui they are not so common, so he is surprised when informed of the arrangement he will have to be part of.

Shisui does not feel rejection, but is nervous about the situation. What if he says something silly that makes his family look bad? What if the person thinks he is insufficient for the prestige of the clan they belong to? What if he cannot meet his uncle Fugaku’s expectations?

Finally, he mentalizes himself as a ninja for a difficult mission, and so he faces the situation. This Uchiha would give his life and more for his clan, and he cannot allow something as simple as a marriage to ruin the reputation of the Uchiha.

Needless to say, he sweats like a condemned man during the whole ceremony and special rites. He only manages to relax when he is alone with the person who is now his partner. Mentally he wonders what Itachi would do in his place, how he would act, and tries to imitate the attitude the little stoic bastard would have.

When he talks to the other person, he realizes that, after all, they’ re just a normal individual like him, caught up in the same situation, and they end up getting along great. Shisui’s attractive and easy personality helps a lot to establish the bond quickly.

Tobirama

The most diplomatic of all. After Hashirama married Mito under these circumstances, he was aware that in a short time he would have to face the same situation, and when the time came, he was already psyched up and ready.

Tobirama does not move a hair during any of the official processes to consecrate himself in marriage with the person who was chosen with him. His features are icy, almost as if he were facing the Uchiha on the battlefield.

This is how his attitude continues to be later in private. This man believes that the affective form that his older brother has with his wife is inappropriate and they should be more reserved.

With his partner he has almost no contact, he hardly ever sees them during the day because of the amount of work the Senju voluntarily puts on his shoulders. This has to do with his personality, and the fact that he cannot face the fear of becoming attached to someone and then losing them, as he did with his brothers.

Hashirama talks to him constantly, as the person he had to marry often seeks the comfort of Mito. His older brother tries to push him to overcome his past traumas, but that is not something Tobirama is willing to do.

Mito: It goes between 7/10 in normal circumstances to 1000/10 when he purposely behaves like a scassapalle ( = pain in the ass but not quite that exactly).

Sometimes, I do want to kick his ass because it seems to be the only thing able to stop him from being too unnecessarily contrarious just for the sake of it, in a self-(and others)destructive way. Because, sometimes, Madara isn't able to see his own bullshit if nobody points it out to him, but unfortunately the only way Madara'd let himself listen to others' reason is if that person is able to beat it into him.

So be it, I'm fine with it and he is too. We made this deal and that's the start of our friendship, did you know?

So, I don't really want to kick Madara's ass per se, most of the time, even though he IS aggravating more often than what it's healthy. And grumpy, and rude, jumpy, spiteful, unforgiving, paranoid old-born man. Although his discretion, sarcastic spite and no-bullshit attitude can even be useful and entertaining when directed to the right people (and when you know how to channel him into them to prevent him from spiraling into even more twisted dramatics than those you're trying to run from). The point I'm trying to make is: you learn to handle a fight-or-fight, cornered and blunt cat and you'll know how to deal with Madara. So, I managed to reach a mutually respectful relationship with him, in spite of everything, because when he's not being ... well, himself, he's a very intelligent man and I enjoy our conversations. Although I really did want to kick his ass when I had no choice but to seal the Kyuubi into myself to help Hashirama in the Valley of the End. Because, only because HE thought that bringing a fucking Bijou at the edge of the village in order to fight Hashirama was a good idea, it does not mean that it is one. It wasn't. Not in the least, it was unnecessary and dramatic, even by his standards. I made peace with the fact I'm the first jinchuriki in Konoha early, so it's less of a big deal than it could have been, but still.

Paradoxically, I have to admit that the moments when I find him most annoying are those when he isn't even there. I'm talking about my own husband's apparent obsession with him and the (too many, if you ask me) times he just can't seem to be able to shut up about him. He told me the river story so many times I'm sure I could recite it in my sleep. I'm starting to feel like I'll be better off asking for a divorce and leave Hashirama to him out of spite. I'm sure my sanity would thank me if I did, but unfortunately I love Hashirama very much so I won't. Madara'd send him back to me within a day when the urge to strangle him for his overbearing attitude becomes too much, anyway, so it wouldn't even be a problem. In fact complaining about Hashirama's obnoxious antics with Madara is always funny, when I hear of people thinking that Hashi is a cause of contention/dislike between us I think it's just plain stupid, it's not like that at all. I know that Hashirama loves me, like he loves his brother, even Madara in a sense as well as the village.

But sometimes I feel as if all the years he spent associating his idea of peace with the alliance with the Uchiha, consequently his unwavering conviction that the only way he could achieve both was to necessarily bind Madara, the Uchiha clanhead, back to their old bond whatever it took (because it wasn't broken it was still there no matter what anyone thought it still was a gift from the divine) made him come to unconsciously link in his mind the very village's hopes of stability with Madara's own very ill-balanced stability and good will towards it.

In Hashirama's world, if Madara is pacified and he doesn't disrupt the village's armony for any reason, then the village will be fine, but the opposite is also true. Village is peace, peace is the dream, the village is the(ir?) dream (transitive property is the key here), but there's a sour, dissonant note: that's a very dangerous, unstable line of thinking, for all of us, himself and Madara included.

Because, differently from what Hashirama thinks, in Madara's vision, himself and that dream no longer coincide since when their bond was severed and it awakened his Sharingan at the river as a consequence. Their very definitions of that dream differed at the root. The mechanism stopped working, the gears need to be rearranged, not to be seen as the same as before, in order to keep working together. He's not the same as when they were little anymore and it isn't even only about Izuna's death but Madara himself. In fact it started before that, Izuna's death is one of the aggravating factors, not the trigger. Hashirama deep down knows it but he vehemently insists on ignoring it with all his might and that's what is deepening the fracture between them.

Hashirama refuses to see Madara for what he is but he wants to see only the kid he met at the river, because that kid is the one who gave Hashirama the confidence that his dream was possible. He still, genuinely, stubbornly believes that that kid still exists somewhere, because he must exist, because if Madara still believes in their village and keeps on giving him that confidence (that is, if Madara still behaves with Hashirama like that kid would, even while slowly breaking beyond repair on the inside), then eventually all will be fine and everything will adjust itself given enough time and hope. But when he doesn't, Hashirama becomes nearly paranoid and desperately tries whatever he can think of in the hope of tying Madara to their dream of the village again, this time possibly forever and indefinitely: calling him his brother (as if for Madara their real brothers weren't the only real bond while theirs is a breaking thread next to a fine but now forever severed cloth); nudging him to see Konoha villagers as they were his new family now that he lost his own (well knowing what kind of visceral bond that'd be if it were completed given that Madara is involved); giving him hope that he could be Hokage, a hope Hashirama didn't know it'd be crushed and burned to the roots by such a public humiliation. The worst part is that Hashirama doesn't even seem to be aware of half of these psychological issues of his. However, that's the person Hashirama sees, not the real Madara, never his adult, despairing, fierce-but-borderline-suicidal version. And Madara knows it, he resents it and will keep to silently poison himself with that knowledge in total, stubborn solitude until it will inevitably make him rot to the bone and erase the rest of the world with him. All of this while seeing all the underlying not-yet-born-but-still-there faults in the village's very system and Hashirama's rule! But, instead of just saying it so we can try to limit the damage, he just keeps them for himself as the indisputable proof of how the whole system is doomed to failure. To be honest, I do know why he doesn't talk, though, and that's because nobody'd listen to what is only considered an unstable, belligerent madman's apocalyptic words, no matter how prophetic they'll reveal themselves to be in the years. These are still other big reasons why I want to kick his ass, though, and I suspect that he knows. Count another reason, then.

They are just... Ahrg. Just talk, guys, like the mature people you ARE supposed to be but will never be. You understand that I'm in the middle of that, don't you? It gives me a massive headache on a good day and lately more often than not they make it a shitty day. I'm tired of constantly having to listen to Hashirama complaining about Madara this, Madara that, just because they're not sincere enough to just TALK and settle their differences within the limits of what it's actually possible, and because they don't talk about it (and when they do it seems like they are threading through two or three different discourses at the same time that nothing have to do with the problem at hand) they will never understand each other like they clearly need to and then we have to solve all the problems their bullshit leaves behind.

I'm not saying that they could resolve those problems by just talking, because they are too big for only the two of them and they often involve how something like world peace should be achieved. So, you understand why they'll never see eye to eye on that. But talking could be a start.

Mine feels like a full-time, underpaid and overly frustrating, babysitting job. Sometimes, I just want to kick both of their asses for being purposely (Madara) and unconsciously (Hashirama) difficult.

What is this fuss about Izuna anyways?

From what I've seen/read, Hashirama and Madara were friends, so Hashi was holding back from killing Madara in all the battles. Whereas Izuna and Tobirama were never friends to begin with. They followed their brother to the battlefield just like any other members of the clan who may or may not die. Izuna was flashing his Sharingan and Tobirama, in self-defense, slashed Izuna using Hiraishin no jutsu which injured him heavily. There is no reason for them to hold back from killing each other. Tobirama may have very well died from that battle, if he was careless.

People being salty about Senju clan for killing Izuna is pointless. If Madara loved his brother so much, he shouldn't have invited him to the battle. Instead he should've cradled him at home.

To defend the other anon, they meant that H is hypocritical for wanting peace when he was killing ppl which was supposed to be why lzuna didn’t want to accept the truce. Which is still bs, but I’m willing to change my mind in case the anon will do a write up. Otherwise it seems really like it’s missing a mark and basic logic. Anyway, I’m always willing to change my mind in anything if facing new set of facts. 

I mean, yes, there is 0 interactions between lzuna and T and lzuna must be mainly written as OC, because we don’t know how he was (Same with Mito btw.). He could have been anything from Hiashi to Lady Gaga. People just like Sas-ke and lzuna looks like him. The rest we must unfortunately headcanon and people sometimes forget that. 

It was just war and it was hard to break, because they didn’t know anything else. Btw. this Mad-ra hated lzuna post theory could interest you!

Solatium excerpt: marriage certificate

@innovativestruggles Here’s the section where they try to get married (and fail) XD (background: hashirama is a woman, she and madara had gotten married after the war)

1.

"Wait, we can't file this yet because I'm legally dead?" Rin says.

Obito and Rin stand at the window in front of the government official, a tired-looking Fire Country civil servant who has no idea about the goings-on in the shinobi world. The official sighs, pushes up his glasses, then slides the application back underneath the glass partition.

"I'm sorry. It says here Nohara Rin is deceased, date of death is marked 20 years ago."

Rin takes the papers back numbly. Obito leans toward the glass.

"Is there a way we can correct this? She's obviously not deceased," Obito says.

"You'll have to go to the social security office in the capital," the civil servant says. "Bring your proof of identity card and your birth certificate. If you don't have any of those documents you'll have to apply for them first. Once she's reinstated as a living person you can file this."

"Well that was a bust." Rin folds the application and tucks it into her purse. "How are we going to explain this? 'Actually, I've been dead, but now I'm alive and I'd like to marry the Hokage of our village'? How are we supposed to show proof that I've been alive when I haven't been?"

Obito sighs. "I should have just genjutsu'd them," Obito says. Rin whirls around.

"Eh? You can do that?! Obito! Why didn't you?!"

Obito blinks. "Because...I'm trying to be a good person?"

Rin groans and bangs her head against his shoulder. "Sorry," she says. Obito smiles and pats her on the head.

"Is this some kind of joke?" the civil servant said.

Madara and Hashi stood in front of the civil servant, watching with increasing bewilderment and anger on Madara's part as the civil servant scoffed at their paperwork. "We take identity theft very seriously here," the civil servant said. "Neither of you were able to provide proof of identification, you don't have birth certificates or personal ID numbers. You two didn't even bother to pick realistic aliases. Uchiha Madara and Senju Hashirama are historical figures, you would have had better luck if you chose Genghis Khan and Pocahontas. You're a woman, Senju Hashirama was a man."

"Wait wait wait, but I really am Senju Hashirama, see?" and Hashi clapped her hands and Sexy no Jutsu'd herself into her male version.

The civil servant looked over his glasses, unimpressed. He leaned around Hashi. "Next in line," the civil servant said.

Madara started, "Wait, how dare you? What do you mean, next in line?" while Hashi poofed back to her normal form and yelled, "Wait wait wait we're not done yet--"

"Next in line," the civil servant said. Madara pushed Hashi back, activating his Sharingan.

"And that's how we filed our marriage certificate!" Hashi says.

"Okay, Ms. Nohara, we have your re-issued birth certificate, your proof of identity number. We have here a voided death certificate, and proof that the body interred in Konoha cemetery isn't really yours."

Rin's eyes dart. "Uh..." The civil servant smiles.

"Congratulations," she says. She looks up from the computer. "You are now among the land of the living."

"Oh thank god." Rin breathes a sigh of relief while Obito beams happily.

Getting herself declared Not Dead had taken several weeks - lots of traveling back and forth to the capital, countless sworn affidavits, notarized letters and court hearings, and multiple applications to reissue her documents. The civil servant stamps Rin's file - ERRONEOUSLY DECEASED - and hands her the paperwork.

"And so we can file the marriage application now?" Rin says. She clasps Obito's hand, happily. The civil servant nods.

"Of course. And again, so sorry for the hold up. You know how it is, bureaucratic red tape. The computer won't even let us fill it in if everything's not in order." The woman types on the keyboard.

"Oh," the woman says. She frowns and squints at the screen. "Oh dear."

"What is it?" Rin says. The civil servant peers around the monitor.

"It says here Uchiha Obito died 20 years ago."

"What?!" Rin says.

"Shit," Obito says. And because he's not a good person, Obito tries genjutsu-ing the civil servant, who promptly covers her eyes and yanks down the shade in front of her window.

"Sir! Please deactivate your ninja eyes, Sir! Forcibly imposing your will on a civil servant for the purpose of expediting documentation is a crime!"

"Madara." Obito grits his teeth and deactivates his Sharingan. "Dammit."

Somewhere in the village, Madara sneezes.
