haruka nanase will always be the funniest sports anime protagonist in my eyes bc the crux of the show and the driving force of the cast is his magical autism. his connection to water is literally just his stim. in the show haru never gives a reason for his love of water beyond “i like how it feels”

he doesnt even give a shit about the actual sport and only chooses to give a shit bc of his separate love for his 17 boyfriends. and those 17 boyfriends will fight to the ends of the earth to explain why haru’s swimming will bring world peace end world hunger and it makes everybody horny immediately

What is your favorite fidget toy?

- I don’t have any actual fidget toys at home, but my dad has a fidget cube and I’ve played around with it. I like the sides that I can rub my thumb on.

What are some of your special interests?

- Pokemon and TOME are the big ones. I think I’ve had a few others come and go, but it’s hard for me to know what is and isn’t a spin.

What are your favorite stims?

- Gotta touch lots of things! I love to graze my hand over clothes and plants and generally things I think would feel nice. It can be soft or a little scratchy, but not the bad kind of scratchy. I’m very particular, lol.

Also listening to music is big stim.

Who are your favorite autistic characters, confirmed or not?

- Alpha from TOME and N from Pokemon are up there at the very least, for extremely indulgent reasons on top of the fact that they are autistic-presenting. Haruka Nanase from Free! is also one that I like. Lots of anime/esque protagonist characters have somewhat autistic traits and that’s probably why I have so many protagonist kins lol
