*He says to himself, shuddering from the cold sweat running down his spine. It feels like a ghost is running a finger down his spine compared to how uncomfortably warm his body feels. He’s stuck in his thoughts, trying not to depend on the poison that’s tainted his veins for years.*

*He freezes, his blood running cold and slowly looks up at the mirror. He’s met with his reflection. His warped reflection. Looking at him, isn’t his pale blue eyes and pale skinned reflection. It’s something else. Something more inhumane.*

*He closes his eyes to avoid having to look at himself, at the thing that has poisoned him but nearly jumps when he hears the slam of a hand against the mirror. Frightened he looks back.*

Come on Harry. Don’t you want me? Huh? Don’t you want that power again? Don’t you feel weak? Brittle? You don’t want to break do you? Come on Harry. You need me.

Leave me alone!

*He cries out. His reflection slams both hands on the glass, it cracks, scowling. It almost looks like it was going to break out and strangle Harry on the spot.*

YOU THINK YOULL SURVIVE WITHOUT ME? YOURE WEAK. YOU HEAR ME. WEAK. YOU WILL BREAK SOON.

SHUT UP!

*Harry cries out, punching the glass and shattering it. His reflection just multiplied over the shards, laughing, cackling, and howling. His head vibrates with the sound of not only his own laughter but his his father’s laughter.*

*Tears streak down his face as he slumps over the sink, muttering shut up to himself again and again as his now bloodied hand bleeds his tainted blood.*
