You’re at the clubhouse, playing pool with a few of the Sons. As you bend over the pool table, your dress rides up slightly and reveals your total lack of underwear, immediately catching Opie’s eye.

Opie’s eyes widen as he notices, his face flushing. He clears his throat and stands up, guiding her away from the pool table. “What are you playing at?”

You look at him, feigning innocence. “What do you mean?”

He glances around nervously, whispering, “Lyla’s my wife, you know.”

You nod, loving how it took little effort to get his attention. “And? Lyla’s my sister.”

Opie’s expression turns serious. “Let’s talk in my room.”

You follow him to his dorm, heart racing. Once inside, he shuts the door, his gaze intense. “You’re a bad girl.”

Watching you smirk, he pulls you over his knee and spanks you firmly. You cry out with unexpected pleasure, the sting mixing with desire.

“What the hell is going on in here?” Opie hollered as he entered the best room he shared with Y/N. 

It looked like a tornado had ripped through their bedroom. Clothes were spilling out of the closet and out of the dresser. They were thrown around without any real regard, ending up on the floor and across the bed where a duffle bag sat half full of Y/N’s clothes. Pictures of the two of them had been taken off of the wall and the nightstands, leaving only the ones of Opie’s children. And finally, banging and clattering could be heard from the connected bathroom, alerting Opie to where Y/N was. 

Walking into the bathroom Opie saw that it was in nearly the same state as the bedroom had been in. Y/N’s soaps and lotions were lined up across the counter and her makeup was being thrown into a bag haphazardly.

“Y/N, baby, what’s going on?” Opie tried again, this time making Y/N turn towards him. 

As Y/N turned towards him Opie saw the pain and the tears that were in her eyes. It pained him to see it but he knew in order to help her he needed to find out why she was doing this. So Opie grabbed her hands and the things that she had in them in an attempt to get her to put them down and talk. To his surprise she ripped her hands away from his and continued to throw things in her bag. Y/N didn’t say anything to him, wanting to get out of the house and away from Opie as fast as possible. 

“Y/N, baby, please stop and talk to me.” Opie pleaded with her as she zipped up her bag. 

“Go talk to Lyla, as her about the things she called and told me.” Y/N finally spoke as she pushed passed a stunned Opie. 


Y/N threw her makeup bag into her duffle and turned back to face Opie as he came out of the bathroom. Her anger grew when she saw the confused look on his face, thinking he was playing dumb with her. 

“I don’t know what you mean.” He said, confirming Y/N’s theory that he was playing dumb. 

Y/N let out an angry sigh, “You’re lying Ope. She called the house told me you hade just left her place. She also told me all about how you two slept together. And you want to know the cherry on top, she told me all about how you two think I’m a terrible role model for Ellie and Kenny.

“And Opie, I could have looked past the fact that you slept with her as long as it was just once and all ties with her were cut. But I love those kids like they are my own and for you to think I’m a terrible role model; that fucking hurts. Especially when I have done nothing but love and care for you and those kids. So I’m done, unless you can tell me that none of that happened and she’ll be gone.” 

Opie stood there silent for a moment before he sighed and spoke, “She lying about what was said, I would never say any of that shit about you. I love you more than anything and seeing you with the kids lights up my whole fucking world.” 

When he stopped Y/N simply looked at him, an unreadable expression across her face. 

“But you still slept with her?” Y/N asked. 

Opie stayed quiet and looked past her, unable to meet her eyes. Y/N took this as all the answer she needed. 

“More than once?” Opie shook his head at her question. 

“No. It was only the one time,” He replied. 

“And that’s it right? You’re done with her and she’s out of our lives now?” Tears were threatening to fell from Y/N’s eyes as she spoke. 

Opie sighed, “I’m sorry sweetheart, she asked the club and me for protection. I can’t just leave her high and dry.” 

Y/N nodded as she wiped the tears from her eyes with one hand and grabbing her duffle bag with the other. “But you apparently can let her tear us apart.” 

Opie didn’t say anything in response, so Y/N took that as her cue to go. As she walked out of their once shared bedroom Y/N sent one final look over her shoulder. 

“Goodbye Ope,” Y/N said softly as a few more tears fell down her cheeks.

“Hello?” You answer your phone, the unknown number intriguing you as you sit in your apartment.

“(Y/N).” You immediately sit up, your heart pounding in your chest, a lump in your throat as you attempt to swallow it down. Never in a million years did you expect to hear his voice again. Especially not after how it ended.

“Jesus, Opie. It’s been a while.” You can’t hide your shock, a sigh escaping your parted lips as you try to compose yourself. Your mind runs wild, a thousand different reasons on why he could be calling; how did he even get this number? You’d changed your number about three times since you left Charming, wanting to distance yourself as much as possible from your past. Angels, that turned out to not be angels at all.

“Yeah, I know. Too long.” He sounds tired, defeated, and you’re so itching to know what’s caused it all, aching to soothe and calm him like you used to. But you remind yourself. Remind yourself why it ended. Why you left. How he broke your heart into a thousand, miniscule pieces.

Catching Opie in bed with a woman didn’t surprise you. You’d suspected he was cheating on your for a couple weeks, but you were just waiting for the right time to bring it up. You hadn’t been intimate in a months, the death of your relative and the stress of your work moulding you into a shell of what you used to be. You thought that when times got tough, Opie would be there for you, like you always were for him; he wasn’t.

Catching Opie in bed with a woman didn’t hurt you. What hurt you was who that woman was. What she represented. The woman who was supposed to be your best friend. The man you loved and the woman you trusted, together in your bed, being intimate with each other, like they had been for just over a month.

He’d tried to make excuses, they both had. He didn’t realise what he was losing until you began packing up your things, when it was already too late. The mistake was made, the bond was ruined, and you left Charming and the people in it behind.

That was almost eleven months ago, and although the past eight months had been anything but easy, they had been the most eye opening months of your life. You had a new career, a new place, a new story. You’d finally began to open up again, allow yourself to laugh and trust and be vulnerable. You’d started dating again - not that you’d found a suitable partner yet - but you were a completely different person to the girl who had her life ruined eleven months ago.

Her life was ruined by none other than the man who was now on the other end of her phone line, the man who was threatening to crush everything she’d built. Again.

“How are you?” He asks timidly, the question seeming almost pointless to you. Small talk wasn’t going to answer the burning question in your mind.

“I’m good, thanks. Listen, Opie, why are you calling? No offence but I’m not really interested-” You start to talk honestly, your invisible wounds resurfacing, reminding you not to forget what this man did to you.

“I made a mistake.”

His words linger on the phone, the sentence hanging between you like a bad smell. He doesn’t offer anymore, his breathing being the only follow up to his statement as you sit in shock, not sure how to respond.

You manage to reel yourself back in to reality, the shock slipping away and being replaced by rage. Hot, burning, scalding, scarlet rage. The sort of rage that bubbles in your stomach, the flames consuming the whole of your body in one go. Red is all you can see, your legs trembling and your blood flooding your ears as you try to find any sliver of tranquility, anything to keep you at bay; there is nothing.

“You made a mistake? You made a mistake?! You call me, after eleven months of me rebuilding everything that you fucking destroyed, may I remind you, to tell me that you made a mistake?”

“Are you fucking insane, Harry? Do you think I give a fuck that you realise that you’ve made a mistake? Cause let me let you in on a little secret, I don’t give a rats ass.” You stand, pacing in your living room, willing yourself not to smash up the teal coloured ornaments in your rented apartment.

The fact that he’s completely hush at your outburst just adds more bass to your roar, the nerve and the impudence of the man you used to adore, the man you used to tell everything to, astonishing you.

“I’m not the same naive little girl I was back in Charming, Opie, and if you expect me to listen to the bullshit that comes out of your mouth, to sit here and accept your apologises and your sentiments and tell you that it’s all forgiven, that I’ll be back by your side by tomorrow, then you’re even more fucking pathetic than I thought.”

Your chest is heaving by the time you finish, every fibre of your being is screaming to continue your rant, to continue unloading all that you’ve been holding in. But you refuse to continue anymore.

“I miss you, baby, and I know I fucked up. Just let me make it up to you.” You laugh at the desperation in his voice, the same thing that dripped from your voice when you begged him for a reason to why he chose to fuck you over so badly.

“You can never make it up to me. You lost, Opie, and you’ll never get to have me again.” The words are therapeutic, a weight feeling as if it’s been lifted off your shoulders. “And I’m not your baby.”
