naturally, for @secretelephanttattoo secret springs, and it being a tuesday, it felt only right that i showed you what rainy did within her first month of working for harold: getting him some marketing materials. i don't think she's done too bad, for saying harry gave zero input except telling her all the things he didn't like.

BIOGRAPHY Born and raised in the close-knit town of Stillwater, Nancy Gallagher grew up in a family that cherished traditional values and taught her the importance of integrity and loyalty.
Throughout her youth, Nancy was known as the quiet observer, always present but rarely in the spotlight. She had an uncanny ability to blend into the background, becoming a confidante to those around her. People would unknowingly reveal their deepest secrets while Nancy listened intently, offering solace without needing to speak a word.
In high school, Nancy’s life took an unexpected twist when she found herself entangled in a captivating game of love with the star quarterback. Their courtship was a whirlwind of emotions, with Nancy playing hard to get, relishing in the chase. Against all odds, they defied expectations and tied the knot, creating a life together that seemed destined for happiness.
However, the fairy tale crumbled when Nancy discovered her spouse’s infidelity. Unfazed by embarrassment, she struck a deal, promising to keep the affair a secret if they would leave the family home, allowing Nancy and their children to remain undisturbed. Nancy’s strength and determination to protect her babies prevailing over her shattered heart.
The day of their departure was etched in Nancy’s memory like a haunting spectre. She took her children out for ice cream, attempting to distract them from the turmoil within their home. Returning to an empty house, Nancy was perplexed to find her former spouse’s car still parked in the driveway. Annoyance quickly turned to shock as she discovered their lifeless body in the foyer.
The gut-wrenching scream that escaped Nancy’s lips was a testament to the depths of her anguish. The town was stunned when the police arrived, not to console her, but to arrest her for a crime she had not committed. No matter how she fought, pleaded, and begged, the wheels of justice seemed determined to crush her spirit.
For ten long, agonising years, Nancy languished in prison, her innocence a burden she carried with unwavering resolve. She was a skeleton of her former self, her spirit tested with the harsh realities of confinement. But even in the darkest moments, Nancy clung to the flickering hope of redemption; of seeing her babies again.
Finally, a glimmer of light emerged as new evidence came to light, exposing the truth. Nancy was released, but the scars of the past remained. She emerged from prison with nothing more than a plastic bag containing the clothes she wore on her first day of incarceration.
Now “free”, Nancy faces the daunting challenge of rebuilding her life in a town that still views her as guilty. Her children, once innocent and carefree, had grown up in her absence, and reconnecting with them proves to be both a joyous and painful process.

NVIDIA Steps Up Its Game: Unveiling the Blackwell Architecture and the Powerhouse B200/B100 Accelerators
NVIDIA, a titan in the world of generative AI accelerators, is not one to rest on its laurels. Despite already dominating the accelerator market, the tech giant is determined to push the envelope further. With the unveiling of its next-generation Blackwell architecture and the B200/B100 accelerators, NVIDIA is set to redefine what’s possible in AI computing yet again.
As we witnessed the return of the in-person GTC for the first time in five years, NVIDIA’s CEO, Jensen Huang, took center stage to introduce an array of new enterprise technologies. However, it was the announcement of the Blackwell architecture that stole the spotlight. This move marks a significant leap forward, building upon the success of NVIDIA’s H100/H200/GH200 series.
Named after the American statistical and mathematical pioneer Dr. David Harold Blackwell, this architecture embodies NVIDIA’s commitment to innovation. Blackwell aims to elevate the performance of NVIDIA’s datacenter and high-performance computing (HPC) accelerators by integrating more features, flexibility, and transistors. This approach is a testament to NVIDIA’s strategy of blending hardware advancements with software optimization to tackle the evolving needs of high-performance accelerators.
With an impressive 208 billion transistors across the complete accelerator, NVIDIA’s first multi-die chip represents a bold step in unified GPU performance. The Blackwell GPUs are designed to function as a single CUDA GPU, thanks to the NV-High Bandwidth Interface (NV-HBI) facilitating an unprecedented 10TB/second of bandwidth. This architectural marvel is complemented by up to 192GB of HBM3E memory, significantly enhancing both the memory capacity and bandwidth.
However, it’s not just about packing more power into the hardware. The Blackwell architecture is engineered to dramatically boost AI training and inference performance while achieving remarkable energy efficiency. This ambition is evident in NVIDIA’s projections of a 4x increase in training performance and a staggering 30x surge in inference performance at the cluster level.
Moreover, NVIDIA is pushing the boundaries of precision with its second-generation transformer engine, capable of handling computations down to FP4 precision. This advancement is crucial for optimizing inference workloads, offering a significant leap in throughput for AI models.
In summary, NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture and the B200/B100 accelerators represent a formidable advancement in AI accelerator technology. By pushing the limits of architectural efficiency, memory capacity, and computational precision, NVIDIA is not just maintaining its leadership in the AI space but setting new benchmarks for performance and efficiency. As we await the rollout of these groundbreaking products, the tech world watches with anticipation, eager to see how NVIDIA’s latest innovations will shape the future of AI computing.

NVIDIA has announced its next-generation Blackwell GPU architecture, designed to usher in a new era of accelerated computing and enable organisations to build and run real-time generative AI on trillion-parameter large language models.
The Blackwell platform promises up to 25 times lower cost and energy consumption compared to its predecessor: the Hopper architecture. Named after pioneering mathematician and statistician David Harold Blackwell, the new GPU architecture introduces six transformative technologies.
“Generative AI is the defining technology of our time. Blackwell is the engine to power this new industrial revolution,” said Jensen Huang, Founder and CEO of NVIDIA. “Working with the most dynamic companies in the world, we will realise the promise of AI for every industry.”
The key innovations in Blackwell include the world’s most powerful chip with 208 billion transistors, a second-generation Transformer Engine to support double the compute and model sizes, fifth-generation NVLink interconnect for high-speed multi-GPU communication, and advanced engines for reliability, security, and data decompression.
Central to Blackwell is the NVIDIA GB200 Grace Blackwell Superchip, which combines two B200 Tensor Core GPUs with a Grace CPU over an ultra-fast 900GB/s NVLink interconnect. Multiple GB200 Superchips can be combined into systems like the liquid-cooled GB200 NVL72 platform with up to 72 Blackwell GPUs and 36 Grace CPUs, offering 1.4 exaflops of AI performance.
NVIDIA has already secured support from major cloud providers like Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to offer Blackwell-powered instances. Other partners planning Blackwell products include Dell Technologies, Meta, Microsoft, OpenAI, Oracle, Tesla, and many others across hardware, software, and sovereign clouds.
Sundar Pichai, CEO of Alphabet and Google, said: “We are fortunate to have a longstanding partnership with NVIDIA, and look forward to bringing the breakthrough capabilities of the Blackwell GPU to our Cloud customers and teams across Google to accelerate future discoveries.”
The Blackwell architecture and supporting software stack will enable new breakthroughs across industries from engineering and chip design to scientific computing and generative AI.
Mark Zuckerberg, Founder and CEO of Meta, commented: “AI already powers everything from our large language models to our content recommendations, ads, and safety systems, and it’s only going to get more important in the future.
“We’re looking forward to using NVIDIA’s Blackwell to help train our open-source Llama models and build the next generation of Meta AI and consumer products.”
With its massive performance gains and efficiency, Blackwell could be the engine to finally make real-time trillion-parameter AI a reality for enterprises.

Developer Notes
The basic idea is to. make it easy to program in steps rather than relying on hardware input or trying to decipher traditional scores or piano roles.
Sequencer Notation is text based to make the notation independent to any hardware and software requirements
It can be can be used in any text program and easily communicated via email, twitter, forums etc.It can even be handwritten into notebooks.
The notation is general enough for step sequencers across a wide range of instruments.(Though the notation could include @ for Elektron sequencing if required:– 7-F3+1@1stSee : Conditional Breakbeats with rytm in 1 bar 1 for details )
The notation is the starting point for the sequence is is not necessarily for reproducing the riff sonically. Different sounds and effect can be used. The notes and scales can be changed. LFOs can sweep across the parameters. (Personally I am using Monomachine presets so the riffs sound very different)
Sequencer Notation can also be used to record your own riffs and bass lines outside of your DAW or sequencer and applied to other productions.
I would appreciate any feedback oh how useful this notation is and any improvements.
thanks tladb

You know who I think would be the best of unlikely friends? Harold, Dr. Iplier, and Engineer! Now, how on Earth are these egos in anyway getting along, let alone be besties? Google.
Back when there was a handful of egos, Dr. Iplier was the only one who kept maintenance of the Googles and Bing. He'd schedule appointments to check up on their synthetic skin for any wear and tears, inspect their hardware and replace parts if needed, and clean up any spills that may or may not have happened, whether it was from Google malfuctioning, or he forgot to hook something back up. As much as he cares for the androids, it was already frustrating keeping maintenance for one, and there was 5 of them!
Soon, as more egos arrived to the manor, Harold would bond with the Googles, since the egos would ask the bots to clean (and they did a half ass job out of spite) so Harold was there and helped with the workload and despite his ridiculous standards, the bits respected the way he took on the workload and assisted him ("begrudgingly" they say, but they have a small soft spot)
One day Harold would notice one of the bots would be gone, and when asked, found out about their maintenance appointments. Of course his curiousity got the better of him, wanting to see the innards of the androids and how they work (but also an excuse to hold Dr. Iplier to a high medical standard)
He joined one of the Google's appointments and was horrified when he saw the inside. Dust was built up inside from over the years and the wires were all tangled inside!!! He demanded another Google to come in to guide him on what wires go where as he cleaned with canned air and isopropyl alcohol. Of course he couldn't blame Dr. Iplier, man was stressed out and had no idea and the only knowledge he had was from the Googles assisting him. But the thing about the androids is that their wires and innards were very sensitive. Poor Red had to be held down by all his brothers AND the special cuffs Dr. Iplier made for them as Harold scrubbed a tooth brush over his corroded wiring. The others laughed in the moment before realizing that they were probably the same way, when it came time for their appointments, they shut themselves down to spare themselves from the intense tickle torture.
Except for Bing, wanting to prove he was better than any of the Googles, he willingly stayed awake for his examination. And my goodness, Harold almost passed out when he saw Bing. Crumbs of old chips coated his wiring, along with even more dust from being outside all the time, clogging up his filters. Bing had to be given multiple breaks to stop himself from overheating from how bad it tickled. Eventually though, Harold and Dr. Iplier encouraged him that it's ok to shut down for the process and that he didn't need to prove himself to Google.
So from then on, Harold joined Dr. Iplier for any maintenance appointments, which lightened up since the cleaning would make them function even better than before, like a brand new bot! And because the cleanings were more often, there wasn't as much build up, if anything a small spray from a can of air would do the trick. Though if any android was being particularly cheeky, they might get a cotton swab soaked in isopropyl alcohol in their wiring.
As for their skin, the Googles do just fine cleaning after themselves externally, but sometimes Oliver will personally ask Harold to "help" he just adores when he wiggles a cotton swab in his navel and between his toes!
But despite this happy ending, there was still the issue of maintenance when something went wrong. That is until Engineer arrived. Once again, fascinated by the androids, he asked to observe their maintenance and was able to provide troubleshooting symptoms that the Googles didn't even think of! Engineer would also often have some spare parts from his ship, upgrading the droids even further! Engineer offered to take in place of Dr. Iplier to check up on the androids, and so he and Harold would bond and work together often.
Dr. Iplier thought this would tremendously save his work schedule, and it did! He loved the androids, but not having to check up on them made up so much more time for himself at work! However, over time that free time became awfully lonely. He started to miss the androids, even if he still saw and talked to them. Something about working on them brought them so close for so long, he developed a platonic attachment to each one. Seeing this, Oliver was the first to offer himself to the doctor, excusing that because he was the most human, he could still use a check up or physical. Oh how Dr. Iplier lit up at the offer and took Oli in for a tickly physical. Bing was next, and the others followed. They excuse it as despite being a machine, Dr. Iplier treated them like people, just as he would treat any other patient
So now, Engineer does maintenance, Harold does cleanings, and Dr. Iplier does their physicals
AKSKGKDKDK THIS IS ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE GENIUS I LOVE THIS!!! 😆💜

“CHAIN STORES SAY THEY WILL OBSERVE BYLAW,” Winnipeg Tribune. June 24, 1930. Page 11. ---- Stayed Open Last Week Only to Force Issues; Police Court Cases Remanded ---- Chain stores, having last Wednesday disobeyed the early closing by-law in order to draw attention to the manner in which it was being enforced, will close tomorrow afternoon and on all Wednesday afternoons in future, according to statements made this morning by chain store officials.
This afternoon 38 grocers appeared in city police court charged with breach of the early closing bylaw. Most of them were managers of chain store branches. Counsel for them pleaded not guilty and their cases were remanded until July 2. Not Defying Law Chain store officials, interviewed this morning, stressed the fact they had no intention of keeping their stores open in defiance of the law. They were heartily in favor of the early closing bylaw but wanted to see it more strictly enforced. It was unfair to expect the chain stores to close if other stores were allowed to remain open, they said.
"The only reason we kept our stores open last Wednesday was to force the issue," said R. E. Barnett, market manager, Piggly Wiggly Ltd. "We are in favor of a bylaw which would force all retail establishments-grocers, butchers, hardware merchants, shoe shops - to close on Wednesday afternoon. We think both the executives and employes need the half-day holiday. But we don't think it fair that we should be called on to shut up shop when other stores are still doing business."
Names on Docket Those who appeared on the police court docket charged with breach of the early closing bylaw were: Harry R. Ayliffe, Edward Beese. Alfred W Belfie, Alexander Beveridge, Cecil Bishop, Robert Blair, Louise Brause, Norman Down, John Garvey. Roland O. Harrison. Ulrich Hermann, William C. Howard Frank Juneau. Samuel Marshall was born of Quaker parentage in Pennsylvania in 1820. After serving an apprenticeship to a hardware merchant and working in a hardware store, he came to Milwaukee in 1847 and opened a bank. The bank, later with Charles F. Ilsley as partner, became the M&I Bank, the oldest continuous bank in the Northwest. In 1853, Marshall organized the State Bank of Madison, the first state bank to be organized under the general banking law of 1852. He remained its president until 1890. In 1901, he resigned the presidency of the M&I Bank, although he retained his interest in it. After founding the State Bank of Madison, Marshall lived in the capital city for a number of years. Eventually he moved to Milwaukee, and resided here until his death. Pictured is the house that was his home, at what was later 1268 N. Prospect Ave., from 1871 to 1907. Marshall was instrumental in the founding of the Milwaukee Public Library (serving as treasurer), the Historial Library at Madison, and the Wisconsin Humane Society. We looked at a de Kooning painting, and someone asked about the enamel paint he once used, which was the sort of sticky, opaque paint one is more likely to find at a hardware store than an art supply shop. I looked to see if de Kooning had talked about his reasons for choosing this material, and I learned that it largely came down to economics:
I needed a lot of paint…. I could get a gallon of black paint and a gallon of white paint—and I could go to town.
From a conversation with Harold Rosenberg, source.
Enamel has special characteristics, though: it is runny and opaque, and it flows differently than diluted oil paint, making drips look different. Here are two de Kooning works--one on paper--and a late Jackson Pollock executed on raw canvas. Pollock also favored industrial enamel paints; his classic drip paintings look the way they do because enamel tends to run off of a painting implement in a long, stringy flow. In late works, such as this one, the paint appears to have been poured out more aggressively, creating shapes rather than lines.
