I saw this on Twitter and immediately checked Tumblr to see if the artist had any presence. Sadly, they do not, so I felt like I had to share it with you all!! 

This is a piece by Daryl Joyce, and according to their caption, this is an old piece from Doctor Who Magazine’s Eighth Doctor Special (guessing from 2003) of the Doctor - portrayed by David Warner - meeting the Spider Daleks. 

I love so so so much about this piece! From the wonderful design of the Spider Daleks with their eye stalks and dome lights of the (I’m guessing) Resurrection of the Daleks designs, to the fact that David Warner is the Doctor, and of course his wonderful outfit that’s a sort of combination of the 1st Doctor and 2nd Doctor which I am super vibing with.

I'm just gonna update this post from now on. Find links to art used below. ALSO!! @a-wartime-paradox has a MASSIVE extensive "bioWHOgraph" that you can find here! I used it a lot as a frame of reference to find some of the more obscure placements, so lots of thanks to them! ALSO ALSO!! @pluralzalpha has their own series of posts on every version of the Doctor. I used them to find some photos for characters that don't have photos (like The Savant, for example). They cover a lot of the actors who have played incarnations as well, which was also a very useful resource and quite interesting!

Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 A.D. (1966) was never meant to be canon, but it’s nice to see Doctor Who was always the same high stakes, silly show.

Peter Cushing doesn’t have Matt Smith’s flair, but still makes a decent Doctor. Donna Noble’s grandfather (Bernard Cribbins) is a main character and that’s fun. Love the spacecraft.

Basically, it’s a longer episode and that’s not a complaint.
