more than any other joss-verse vampire, harmony could crossover to another franchise and do okay. angel couldn't hang with the anne rice vamps, spike couldn't hang with the waititi vamps. harmony would do makeover-montages with any of them before getting upset, calling them sluts and leaving in a huff. 'new fledges are so fun' - any old vamp that meets her.

It's a fic idea I would love to read: Harmony's journey through the vampire multiverse.

It's only now during my rewatch, without my teen shipper heart beating so loudly, that I'm seeing the full potential of some of the minor characters. Harmony, very much included.

I forgot what happened to her in Angel so I'm reading the wiki:

Harmony tries to connect with Cordelia, but has difficulty controlling her demon side. She enters Cordelia's bedroom at night, driven by bloodlust, but apologizes for her actions and intentions when Cordelia wakes up. Cordelia misunderstands her explanation, believing her to be a lesbian until the matter is cleared up by Willow in a phone call.

Harry didn’t say anything. She came around her desk and crossed her arms over her chest.

“Why are you so fixated on me? On this? I’ve told you I’m not interested.”

“Then stop staring at my lips.”

Hermione’s eyes snapped up to his, her cheeks pink. She swallowed thickly.

“Sexual attraction does not mean we’re compatible marriage partners.”

“But it means we’re compatible in some way.” He tucked a lock of curls behind her ear. His fingers traced the curve of her face. “I think we’re compatible in more than a few ways.”

Hermione felt her heart hammer against her ribcage. Her body trembled. 

“That’s not- that’s not good enough,” she whispered. 

Harry stepped closer and his scent of wind and sage enveloped her. Her lashes fluttered.

“I thought you wanted to settle down,” he whispered. “That’s what I want too.”

“I don’t even know you.”

His nose lightly brushed hers. “Get to know me,” he breathed.

His lips touched hers and Hermione’s eyes fluttered shut. She leaned into him without thought. His lips were so soft and full against her own. His arms wrapped around her waist and pulled her flush against him. His hand slid up her back and tangled in her loose curls. She felt herself get lost in the security of his embrace. His enticing scent had her melting into him.

He tasted like peppermint.

Hermione moaned.

A throat cleared.

Hermione’s eyes shot open and she pushed Harry away. He broke the kiss and swallowed before stepping back. Hermione raised a hand to her mouth and felt her entire face turn red when she saw Minerva standing in the doorway.

The headmistress’ eyebrows were high on her forehead as she stared at the sight before her. 

Harry winked, completely unashamed. “Morning, Minnie.”

“Harry, darling,” Minerva greeted warmly, if a bit amused.

Hermione glanced back and forth between them.

“I like that shade of lip gloss on you,” Minerva quipped.

Hermione’s head shot around to Harry and she felt herself die a little inside at the sight of her lip gloss on his face.

Harry’s grin widened. “Thanks,” he said as he wiped the makeup onto his hand, “it’s strawberry flavoured, I think.”

Hermione dropped her face into her hands. “Oh my god.”

“The children will be arriving soon. Perhaps this can wait until after hours?”

“Yes, of course,” Hermione rushed to say. “I’m so sorry. It’s completely unprofessional and I-”

“-We’ll pick it up over dinner tonight, Minnie. Don’t worry.”

Hermione glared at Harry.

“Dinner?” Minerva questioned, amused.

“I already have plans with Min and Otis, thank you,” Hermione snappishly informed Harry as she crossed her arms over her chest.

Harry was unswayed. “A double date then?”

Hermione scoffed at the same time that Minerva said, “That’s a lovely idea.”

“Minerva!” Hermione took a few steps towards her colleague. “We have other things to discuss tonight.” 

They were going to talk about the school and their options over dinner tonight. 

“Other things can wait,” Minerva told her. She raised an eyebrow at Harry. “Seven sharp, Mr. Potter. Don’t be late.”

“Wouldn’t dream of it, Minnie.”

Minerva left with an amused smile on her face. Hermione turned and glared furiously at Harry.

“You have no idea what you’ve just done.”

“I’ve made an opportunity for us to get to know each other.”

“You’re impossible.”

Harry nodded and shrugged. “I’ve had people say worse.”

“Do you ever quit?”

“Not if it’s worth it.”

Hermione rolled her eyes. “How did you even know I worked here?” 

He opened his mouth- 

“-You know what? No. I don’t care. Just go. And don’t you dare show up for dinner tonight.”

Harry laughed as he headed for the door. “As if I’d disobey Minerva McGonagall.”

“I’m going to hex you so badly,” she threatened.

He turned and smiled at her. “Is it bad that I kind of hope you do?”

He left before she could draw her wand. Hermione stood in the middle of her classroom, furious, frustrated, and ridiculously aroused. 

“Absolute wanker.”

🌪 Well, it goes without saying that a perfect date for Ruby Flame is any date with me! Oh, I know that's not what you meant, but it is true! She's mentioned many a time that "it doesn't matter what we do, as long as we're together". Isn't that just precious? 🌪

🌪 Now then, when it comes to treating my dearest Ruby Flame, only the best, and most chaotic, of dates will do! One thing I've found she greatly enjoys, though, is when we take our dates to more "exotic" locations, like tea for two in the core of a volcano, or a picnic atop a cloud high above Equestria. I even fondly remember an afternoon stroll through an alternate dimension! We've ventured to quite a few places together, yet Ruby Flame always feels at ease when she's by my side - as she rightfully should. I'll fully admit I do love a good practical joke here and there, but one thing that will always come above that is ensuring that my beloved is safe no matter what. 🌪

Lily & James(Jily) or Harry & Hermione(Harmione), which is the better ship?

I personally prefer HarryxHermione. I've read a number of good Jily fics, but I've always preferred friends to lovers over enemies to lovers. I don't think one is necessarily better than the other, since different characters are involved (it'd be easier to compare Jily vs Snilly or Harmony vs HarryxLuna) and. Comparison is also hampered by Jily being canon (although what we know is limited) while Harmony is fan-developed from myriad canon details.

Um, well.. We do lots of things, I'd say! In some ways, it depends on where we are. If we're near to a big town or city, then we might go around the marketplace together; I'm always looking out for new ingredients and recipes to cook with, and Sapphire enjoys tagging along, even though she isn't as fond of cooking. And I really appreciate that!

One of the things we've been doing more recently is helping the girls train together - Ruby's always wanted to team up or spar with Poppi, you see, and she's old enough now that we can all have a lot of fun organising little training sessions together. Well, I say "we", but it's really Sapphire who sets everything up - Mythra sometimes helps her out too, but I'm just happy cheering everyone on and making something for them all to share when they've finished! Ursula usually stays with me - she knows she's always welcome, and sometimes she's happy to watch the other two go wild, but battling just really isn't her thing. What's important is that everyone gets enjoyment out of it, which I'd definitely say they do!

Sapphire in particular always has such a warm expression whenever she's doing this - I think it reminds her a lot of the way she grew up. I'm really glad she gets to pass on that kind of experience, in her own way.

Hello friend! I got thinking about Torna's crafting system again recently and was curious -- What kinda crafts would Aline, Avalon, and Ursula make? I could see Ursula making song sheets similar to Minoth's plays -- but what about you and Avalon? Do you have any ideas or have you not thought about it before? Do you have something else in mind for Ursula?

I feel like I've definitely made a post about this at some point in the past, but I can't quite find it right now. My main logic at the time, as I remember, was to let Team Aline provide some of the types of pouch items that are present in XC2 itself but not in TTGC - these types in full being art, board games, drinks, instruments, and textiles. From a gameplay perspective it might arguably make sense to pick the ones that don't have equivalents for the effects they provide, but that seems a bit limiting, so I'm disregarding actual gameplay benefits here.

With the list of missing types in mind, Ursula seems a perfect fit for making handmade instruments, since she mentions in her Heart-to-Heart that she can play a few! I do really like that song sheet idea, though - I can definitely imagine her coming up with little melodies to sing in her own time ^-^ She might feel a bit too shy to share them with the entire rest of the party all at once, though, admittedly. Maybe with Aline eventually, but it would take a long time for her to feel confident enough to sing in front of the others.

When it comes to the other two (i.e. me and Avalon).. I want to say that, originally, I said that Aline would make textiles? Considering she's from a small village, I can definitely imagine her weaving or sewing while she was there before it got razed and she met the party. Then, for Avalon.. making drinks comes to mind as something that might fit him, and that would technically go along well with the fact that every other team has a Blade who cooks (except that the other Blades all make food, specifically). However, I could also honestly see either one of us making art, too - maybe Aline's textile-making is a mix of traditional fabrics (that give textile effects) but also items of embroidery (that give art effects)? That could be sweet ^-^
