“Jean Harlow was the first screen tramp to become a heroine and her raw sexuality made her the sex symbol of the 30s, very much in the way Marilyn Monroe became the sex symbol of modern cinema. Harlow’s screen persona was very different from Monroe’s, however; she wasn’t vulnerable but impudent, tough, wisecracking, slatternly and sexually voracious. She gave as good as she got, which made her a wonderful screen partner for Clark Gable and James Cagney. In her first starring role, in the 1930 Hell’s Angels, she gave the cinema one of its immortal lines when she asked Ben Lyon to “Pardon me while I slip into something more comfortable”, and she gained even more fame in Red Dust by taking a bath and ordering Gable to “Scrub my back.” She wore clinging satin dresses without a bra, became known as the Platinum Blonde and obviously was just as keen on sex as men were. On top of all that she was a fine comedienne and is just as enjoyable to watch today as she was in the 30s. From 1930 to 1937 she was a major star in a delightful series of films, mostly at MGM, and then died tragically of uremic poisoning. She was only 26 years old.”
/ From The Illustrated Encyclopedia of The World’s Great Movie Stars by Ken Wlaschin, 1979 /
Born on this day 112 years ago: Depression-era sex goddess Jean Harlow (née Harlean Carpenter, 3 March 1911 – 7 June 1937). Tough to pick, but I think my favourite Harlow performance is in outrageous pre-Code Red-Headed Woman (1932).

JEAN Harlow
Box office beauty of the 19, of the 1930s, she was very popular blonde bombshell, and femme fatale, to grow up from quite humble beginnings in, Missouri, to a mother who is extremely close to throughout her life I believe, who has a dentist, those days divorce was unheard of, and in 1922, her parents, her mother moved to Hollywood to pursue her own career and acting, didn’t go very well, said if she didn’t return home, with with Jean, then she wouldn’t receive, and if she was not to return, she would not receive her inheritance for my father, and quite well off, when the mother moved to Hollywood, her care didn’t take off because she was too old to have a career in Hollywood at 32. It’s tough out there isn’t it?women ,,,,, Then she attended and all girls school, and where she was so close to mother she began to be known as mama Jean, her full real name was, Harlean Harlow Carpenter, quite a mouthful but I really like it, it’s like when they change Joanne Crawford’s name, name is actually Hollywood I think.
But you know what they’re like with numbers and letters. A whole Nother story.
First marriage, she was introduced to 19-year-old child Chuck Fairmount the third, and inheritance .a heir to a large fortune, we were dating seriously and then got married that year, mother got married but she did not attend her mother‘s wedding wedding. Two months after the wedding., Chuck turned 21 and received part of his inheritance from Chicago, Los Angeles Beverly Hills, during this time that her husband, and her were both socialised at the time and my heavy drinkers neither of them were working, and I guess we’re living of his fortune.
During this time, she, what doesn’t extra and got herself quite acquainted into the hope the whole Hollywood business and lifestyle, and got to know people through her connections, so it seems, and would have workers extra on a film or doing other kind of work, productions.
In these three years, she then became quite a big movie star being a big box of its success, the platinum blonde bombshell in the movies of her time in fact, is known to have modelled herself on gene Hollow, but more of its time of the 50s rather than the 30s, reading about Harlow I’ve noticed she’s good at making herself have connections of these men in Hollywood, what was she doing in constant stuff? I don’t know maybe possibly it seems that way it seems that she was very close to executives., in her first marriage, maybe I’m getting it wrong but she is a Pisces, they are very good at making themselves, while being compassionate affectionate and all the, unlike the other two watersides Scorpio and cancer who can be quite transparent, and I’m much more affective and effective and appealing.
This lady, they didn’t have the amazing life. It appeared to be. She died really young and I’m sure she was objected to a lot of things that shouldn’t have happened., about all of this and I probably could find out a lot more, film stars I mean you need to read the books and stuff, the picture was taken before she collapsed, she complained of having problems with her wisdom teeth, few weeks before this🦷 ironic with her dad being a dentist I know ,,,
No, but before this picture was taken with the Clark Gable, she collapsed moments after, and she died of inflammation of the bladder, had all his symptoms of it, even said that her breath smell of urine which is a symptom of having really bad kidney failure.
She lived a very short life and died 26 years of age
Iconic blonde hair was achieved by ammonia Clorox bleach and Lux soap.

He kisses her tenderly. "Yes, much better than flying solo." He jokes and runs a hand through her hair. "And sounds like you needed it just s bad as me." He looks in her baby blue eyes. "Love you Harlean Seraph Quinzel."
"I'm gonna take it that tha' otha' kids found out I spent tha' night and they complained."
Seraph chuckles. "Caroline is sulking, but Neph is shockingly cool with it." He says over coffee. "But then give her some time and Caroline will get over it, she can't stay mad for long."
