Lively Paradise 2024, A Gumi/Gakupo/Una concert, Is Set for August

Date: August 10, 2024 (Time TBD) | Streaming Ticket Price: 4,400 yen

The concert will be performed at harevutai -IKEBUKURO LIVE SPACE and streamed online. As they've met their first three crowdfunding goals, Gumi, Gakupo, and Una will perform 18 songs. The stream archive will be available for two months after the concert for ticket holders.

Something I don't understand is that Kuaidul was never added in 'Soul Galaxy'. (and I doubt it's gonna happen in the remaining episodes of s2) I mean he was there since arc 6 and even though he died at the end of arc 7, why was he never included in the OP? Sevens' season 2 OP 'Harevutai' took a long time to properly show Goha Yuga but at least his silhouette was there from the start. Meanwhile, nothing for Kuaidul despite he's the first Velgearian and also a main antagonist for 2 arcs. They can bother to change Yuhi's frown into a smile, Manabu's ace to his Maximum and replace the shots of Asaka's ace and Yuna in the rain with 3 Yuna shots with her monsters but Kuaidul has no room there?

I feel like they cared more for scene changes in 'Shinkiro' where for each arc, they would portray the respective main antag and their minions + the ace monsters used there.

(btw, I miss the times when we had many openings and endings for ygo, Zexal and Arc-V really spoiled us with 6 OP and ED each - now we're stuck with 1 OP and 1-2 ED per season 😔)

Hi I'm a new fan of The Brow Beat and absolutely fell in love with 21 grams, but there are two versions of it and i found youtube comments saying they're glad that Ryuji chose to keep the 404 ver. If you compare the lyrics, the main parts of the song (ie. the rap and sung parts) are the same, but the spoken parts are different.

(Putting the rest of my response under the cut because of trigger warnings for death and suicide.)

The title of the song "21 Grams" refers to the weight of the human soul (taken from the "21 Grams Experiment"). The song paints the darkest parts of Ryuji's heart, and the themes of both versions are the same: both songs deal with the emotions that lead to suicide and encourage people to overcome such feelings and survive beyond them.

However, the way the lyrics express this theme in both versions are completely different.

The lyrics for the original version of "21 Grams" focus on the intense pain that drive people to suicide and the struggle of fighting against it. Meanwhile, the lyrics for "21 Grams (404 ver.)" focus on the circumstances that might lead to suicide with words of encouragement to fight back and overcome these circumstances.

The original version of the song was so emotionally fraught that even The Brow Beat's record label at the time (Pony Canyon) was against Ryuji releasing the song, but thanks to HAKUEI-san, we were given the opportunity to have this version of the song before Ryuji, himself, felt that it was too dark to sing at live concerts and changed the lyrics to the ones used in "21 Grams (404 ver.)".

To give a bit of context, Ryuji wrote "21 Grams" because he, himself, had actually gone through a period of time in his life when he experienced such emotions, and wanted to write a song to support people who shared the same pain, in the way that songs with such themes helped him during his dark times.

Ryuji has also experienced the suicide of a close friend; an experience he has expressed in "Suiren" and "Tourou Nagashi" (which are two sides of the same coin).

koharu rikka is a japanese synth developed by TOKYO6 ENTERTAINMENT in collaboration with ah-software. she was released on 18 mar 2021, but her character birthday is today, as 16 may 2020 was when she was announced. she was originally intended to release for voiceroid 2 but this was scrapped in favour of cevio ai. she had banks for synthv studio, synthv ai, and cevio ai, all released on the same day. her vp is Yoshino Aoyama, and her illustrator is Nari Teshima. she is described as being a high school sophomore (15-16yo). she is 160 cm tall. her first live performance (Koharu Rikka 1st LIVE!) took place on 22 apr 2022 at Harevutai in Ikebukuro. her stuffed bear is called LAKISTON. she goes to school (Otaru Shiokaze High School) with chifuyu and natsuki karin, in which they are all members of the music club.
