WAIT but to see real bunny ghost boxing….. would we not need another bunny??? I nominate either Konig (bc big boy bunnies are amazing) or Farah (she strikes the fear of god into me like a wild hare). I was going to say Rudy, but he has too-perfect cow eyes to be anything elseeeee
Hare shifter Farah is now Canon here. I fucking love it. And once Ghost lets his secret out, Farah gets to admit that she knew all along. Takes one to know one. They're not the same, but similar enough. They do box. Both shifted and not, and it's a sight to behold. In both forms Ghost towers over Farah, but she's quick, she's tough, and Ghost loves the challenge.
Now... Cow Rudy... I have a confession. I grew up on a cattle farm and cows are extremely near and dear to my heart, I fucking love them. So I had to sit and think for a minute. I couldn't make him my beloved Angus, I will die on this hill, Angus cattle are the best. Fight me. BUT, this isn't about my preferences, and nobody wants to hear me go on for hours about what cattle breed is best, you just wanna know what Rudy is.
Corriente. A gorgeous Corriente bull, in a half shift he'll proudly display his upturned horns. Most Corriente are black, but can be nearly any color. Rudy is no exception to this, being fully glossy black, but don't be mistaken, he's absolutely stunning. Now this breed is not generally used for meat. No, they're use is in Rodeo and Roping. Rudy comes from a long line of rodeo bulls. Where do you think he and Ale met? Way back when Ale was a junior bull rider. And when Ale left the ring behind to join the army, Rudy's family was aghast by his decision to follow.
P.S. if you're looking for rabbit König, @konigs-bitch-ass-wife is writing a series of Rabbit Hybrid König, and I believe he's also a flemish giant.

What gods/goddesses (any pantheons) do you associate with your characters?
Lol I've definitely never thought of this before but I did my best? Unfortunately I don't know much about a lot of the world's mythology, but Wikipedia helped.
--
Crystal - Hedone, Greek goddess of pleasure, enjoyment, delight.
Zac - Týr, Norse God of victory, justice and heroism.
Mick - Gwydion, Welsh bard & trickster deity. (Pictured here being a stinker)
Kyle - Thoth, Egyptian God of the moon, reckoning, knowledge and writing.
Zoey - Euphrosyne, Greek goddess of joy, mirth and good will.
Megan - Ēostre, Germania goddess of spring, new beginnings, associated with the hare.
Farah - Asteria, Greek goddess of stars and precision. Turned into a bird to avoid a dude's advances. Awesome.
Emma - Libertas, Roman goddess of freedom, specifically liberation.
Honorable mention; you know Samuel is Dionysus.

Spoilers for Season 2 of Fate: The Winx Saga Concerning *That One Specific Spoiler*
It's Farah. The spoiler is Farah coming back.
I know there are a lot of thoughts and emotions about Farah’s return and I know that there are some that aren’t going to agree with me just as I don’t agree with others. I wrote this very shortly after watching, and then after I could sit with my thoughts and feelings I made edits so. Here we go.
They brought Farah back exactly as we imagined. Her magic was kept in a plant and the girls released it with their combined magic (through the crystal). I love that. It’s such a clear nod to the OG cartoon I can’t help but like it. It’s what we suspected all along. Go cartoon super sleuths! So either we truly were right, or they saw our speculations and that made an impact on the script.
Farah returning... and then immediately leaving again. My heart is broken. Beautiful. Upset. I refuse to accept it as canon, but it was a nice moment. Farah is alive. We did it guys. Manifestation. I so badly wanted her to be back for good, and I am a confusing mess of emotions about her being back but not back. I think it’s best if I answer targeted questions.
Am I happy Farah is back? Abso-fucking-lutely. Why wouldn’t I be? It’s all I and most of the fandom have been harping on about since the conclusion of season 1.
Do I think her being dead for good at the end of season 1 is better than the short bit we got in season 2? I have seen other opinions on this, but for me? No. Absolutely not. Because we all agree, her death was an insult. It was naive. Weak. Not the Farah Dowling we know and love, to turn her back on her enemy like a wounded hare to a wolf.
Does it make it worse that she admits she “didn’t survive” Rosalind’s attack and that actually was her death in season 1? Immediately my response is: yes. It’s the worst thing, for me, to think that not only did Farah die in that way, she then died again for real and left for good. But then I thought about it, and here’s where we stray into headcanon territory. The fact that Farah had no body and her energy was encapsulated in the fern is deliberate. We saw the sinkhole of magic being funneled into that little plant and keeping Farah’s spirit alive. That was a LOT of energy. Not just any fairy could do that, but Farah is (not was, is) the most powerful fairy, more so than Rosalind. So naturally, not just because I didn’t want her death to be true, I believed she was strong enough to survive Rosalind’s attack on her life. But in order for Rosalind to gain control, in order for Farah to have influence, Rosalind had to believe Farah didn’t survive. It had to look real. And an illusion wasn’t enough. So effectively, Farah had to not survive because otherwise it wouldn’t have worked. And the fern was the only way she did, in some way. In soul, if not also body. And she admits that as soon as she knew what Rosalind was going to do, she reached out to nature to preserve her. So she did survive. It's just that her body did not. And no, I don’t accept it as canon, but she came back. She did not go out at the end of s1 never to be heard from again.
In short, I’m still living in denial, and I refuse to believe that that’s really how Farah went out, and that we only saw her force ghost.
Look, at the end of the day, we all wanted Farah back. And we would’ve raised hell if she wasn’t. And yeah, we can be upset that she’s back-not-back, or we can do what we do best, and write fanfics and make fanart and edits and reject canon and say you know what? She is back. She came back, and then went on vacation, and that’s why she’s not in season 3 if they get one. Or she is, and we remake the canon. Because let’s be honest, we’re going to anyway, and we’re going to do it better.
As for the lack of Silrah, I too am upset we didn’t get even a single interaction with them, not even a hug. I’m not upset we didn’t get a romantic moment, because honestly we the fandom can and have and will write and draw it better anyway. Again, I’m upset we got nothing. But because we were lucky to even get Eve Best in her scenes and I can imagine there was conflicts of schedules meaning the actors couldn’t film together, I can’t be too mad.
She came back, guys. And remember this is a show about teen fairies targeted towards a teen demographic. We were not supposed to care this much about the adults. And if we hadn’t, I 100% believe Farah would’ve stayed dead. I believe, and I will believe until Brian himself looks me in the eyes and says “you’re wrong” that we the fandom had a direct hand in getting that ending for Farah. Is it perfect? No. Is it better than it was? For me, yes. Was it fan service? Hell yeah. But God did I love it.
So, though others may not agree and that’s okay, I say thank you to the creators and show runners and ESPECIALLY Eve Best for making this happen. I would not have enjoyed season 2 as much as I did if I’d known in my heart of hearts and my head that she wasn’t making an appearance. Just in bringing her back they’ve eased the insult of her “death,” and if I must accept her send-off as goodbye, at least it was emotional and proper and not off screen or minimized. Could there have been more? Sure, but we forget this show isn’t about her, as much as we want it to be.
Now let’s all get back out there and write/draw/create/edit/etc to our Farah-loving hearts’ content!

Patron Review: Shattered Starlight
WHAT IS IT
Shattered Starlight is the second comic by Nicole Chartrand, who also makes Fey Winds. It has been updating once a week, and is 78 pages long as I write this. It stars Farah, a grumpy 20-something with a food services job and a rabbit sidekick. Farah is a magical girl who doesn’t really want to be. The comic came out nearly a year after my own series, Legend of the Hare, and contains enough superficial similarities in premise that I presume that’s part of why I was asked to review it and I should mention it, even though the two comics aren’t really that similar.
THE GOOD
The art is phenomenal. The environment feel like real places that actually exist. More importantly, they’re environments that the characters live in, rather than flat backgrounds behind them like you’d see in Questionable Content. Just this one page conveys a massive amount of information about the Cafe Le Dead End. I’m particularly fond of the giant poster with the faux-deep expression, but I also really like the old and patched stools. This level of background detail recurs constantly, as well. We get panels that look like this
And even though I just read this comic once today, I know from memory that if Farah needs to pee, she should turn to her right and walk ten feet or so, and then the bathrooms will be on the left, just before to the entrance to the kitchen.
By comparison, I’ve been reading Questionable Content since I was in high school, and I don’t know if the Coffee of Doom has a bathroom at all, or even how big it is. A lot of comics have background-as-wallpaper, but Shattered Starlight’s environments are so good they make me think of Octopus Pie.
THE BAD
The story is weighted down by unnecessary exposition, most egregiously in a four-page scene explaining what a magical girl is right at the beginning, that could probably be cut entirely. One of the advantages of using a well-known concept like “Magical Girl” is that the audience already knows what it is, so this explanation is unnecessary. It’s actually doubly unnecessary, since the critical information is shown during the scene immediately following the narration, and there’s another, more motivated, infodump when the magical girls explain things to Lily. I think generally the comic has a bit of an issue with telling something and then showing it.
Little stuff, like Blue’s line here. We see Farah’s house a bit later, and we see that she lives alone with the three-legged cat named Tripod. It kind of makes sense for Blue to be bringing this up to needle Farah, but I think it’s a panel that can be cut. That kind of stuff is picking nits, though, and the only “bad” part of the comic is the narrated 4-page infodump, which at least has some interesting and foreshadowy visuals.
FINAL SCORE
Shattered Starlight has excellent art, and a story that’s a little bland but also it’s only in its first act. I give it 6 cough drops out of a teaspoon of mucinex.

waitttttt I love bunny hybrid ghost now (and yes!! Flemish giants are so cool and so so much bigger than anyone can picture!!) and while I am imagining soapghost as that one incredible image of the tiny bunny and his giant Flemish girlfriend, the size difference isn’t that crazy and I don’t think bunny suits soap quite as well. Do you have any other shifter headcanons for that verse?
I know the exact image lol, oh my God I love it!!! For this AU, only Ghost, Rudy, and Farah are shifters. Everyone else is human.
Ghost being his Flemish Giant self, and his entire family are also rabbit shifters.
Rudy is a bull, specifically a Corriente, he used to be a rodeo bull before joining the military.
Farah is a Cape Hare, and the only one who knows what kind of a shifter Ghost is, right off the bat. Takes one to know one, ya know?
That being said, I will probably do other shifter au's in the future, I've considered writing one where everyone in the 141 is a deer of some type, because I love them and there's so many options. Someone's gonna be a Musk Deer, the ones with the fangs, they're my favorites. 😊

Latest story from https://movietvtechgeeks.com/la-la-land-wins-big-baftas-2017-politics/
'La La Land' wins big at Baftas 2017 with some politics
It's just two weeks before the Oscars hit, but the BAFTA's took center stage (well right before the Grammy's) Sunday night with "La La Land" winning five awards. Not bad as it had eleven nominations and won for Best film, best actress and best director. "Manchester By the Sea" continued its winning streak for Casey Affleck as best actor and Ken Loach won the best British film award for "I, Daniel Blake." Emma Stone, who won for Best Leading Actress in "La La Land" took her acceptance speech as a moment for her political statement. It was obvious how emotional this was for her as she stumbled slightly giving her message. “It feels like the world is going through a bit of a time right now… “Sorry, I’m losing my words, this always happens… “I don’t know if you’ve realized this, but right now this country and the U.S. and the world seems to be going through a bit of a time. Just a bit,” she said. “In a time that’s so divisive, I think it’s really special that we are all able to come together tonight thanks to BAFTA to celebrate the positive effect of creativity and how we can transcend borders and how we can help people to feel a little less alone.” Emma also acknowledged the BAFTA community for voting for her, telling them: “Thank you so much for this, this is an unbelievable honor.” Viola Davis, who won best supporting actress for "Fences" had a message supporting Meryl Street, whose impassioned speech at the Golden Globes resulted in a nasty Donald Trump tweet tantrum. “Anyone who labels Meryl Streep an overrated actress obviously doesn’t know anything about acting. That’s just the way it is. And that’s not even just directed towards Donald Trump. That’s directed towards anyone,” she told reporters in the press room following her win. “This is someone who is the master at her skill and she has lasted for 40 years — in a very difficult profession might I add. She continued: “I have never met anyone who has been in her presence who she has not made feel like a star in their own lives. That is a rock. Very humble, very gracious human being.”

The Cream of Dublin's Music Scene.
by Niamh McGoldrick
Dublin's music scene at the moment is getting me giddy. Every week I'm spoiled with far too many gigs to go to. How so much talent can be crammed into one city is beyond me, I mean it's nearly overwhelming. To stuff all of it into one post is near impossible, so here are 5 bands/artists that you absolutely have to listen to if you know what's good for your soul... Just click on the names. Godspeed.
♡ TOOFOOLS Have you ever heard a song that gives your hips a mind of their own? Would you like to? Give Toofools a listen. This is a project started by two lads (insanely talented multi-instrumentalists, but lads all the same) having some craic with macbooks, that got way out of hand. With slick production and performances as tight as a student's rollie, their songs are packed with groove and sexy, sexy undertones. This summer they've bagged slots at Electric Picnic and Body & Soul, as well as headlining Knockanstockan.
♡ FARAH ELLE Not a band, but this gal has me singing words I don't understand, which is very cool. Smushing ska, RnB, hip hop and some Arabian melismas together, Farah Elle delivers a sound that...Probably nobody else is able to deliver. Her silky voice is actually addictive and will leave you hitting the repeat button again and again and again and again and again and again and you get the idea.
♡ HARE SQUEAD 3 Tallaght/Blanch boyyyyzsh making serrrious waves. I imagine it would be difficult to find someone who doesn't enjoy the sonic sex that is Hare Squead. (Pronounced 'hair skwed'). Their set at Electic Picnic being hands down the best of the weekend. With the crowd in the palm of their hands, they weaved it into a wall of death where I lost my phone and (nearly) my limbs...Needless to say a Hare Squead gig is not one to miss, but for now, give your ears a lil treat and listen to 'Herside Story'.
♡ SPUDGUN MUSIC BAND Just some alien dudes who want to give us earthlings a taste of what it's like in outer space with their psychadelic funky melty tunes. For the past year, it's been non-stop gigging for these extra-terrestrial beings, they've marked their territory in seemingly every pub/club in Dublin along with slots at Electric Picnic and Knockanstockan...So they're very very very good at it. A Spudgun show means leaving reality at the door for a while; expect lots of facepaint, lots of glitter and lots of beautiful stories about travelling through the galaxy. So if you're ever in the mood to be blasted off to boron 5 via ear-buds, I urge you to listen to their sweet space goo.
♡ WASTEFELLOW Also not a band, but an experimental producer from Dubland who makes spacey, gorgeous sounds that seem like they should be in one of those Missguided ads. A Wastefellow gig will probably make you feel like you're in an avant-garde art exhibition rather than a pub gig. Pop your headphones in and melt away in some sweet experimental electro soundssss.
