Eyebrows furrowed as you scan the various cubes displayed on the screen of your phone. Where the hell do the last two sevens go? You think to yourself, as Namjoon lets out his twentieth sigh of the evening.
Glancing up from your sprawl on his sofa, you note that he hasn’t moved much since the last time. Headphones on, dark hair pushed back by them like a headband, several of his silver strands catching in the dim studio lighting.
“Joona?” You call, eyes and focus going back to your frustrating game of sudoku.
Suddenly Namjoon pushes away from his desk, tossing the headphones onto the abandoned keyboard and spinning around to face you.
“It’s not working, I’ll just take you home.”
He sighs, again. He leaned forward to brace his elbows on his knees and cupped his face in his hands.
“Okay, let me go to pee first.”
Tossing your phone onto the couch you stand to slip past Namjoon to escape to the bathroom.
He catches your waist suddenly, “Wait, can you-can we...”
Namjoon looks up at you with tense eyes, his jaw clenched in a way that gets you worked up.
“Can we what Namjoona?”
You laugh lightly, stepping between his open knees.
Namjoon tips his head back to look up at you through lidded eyes, his lips parting to let out a breath as your fingers move to grasp his jaw.
“You know what.”
Namjoon’s hands are drifting up your joggers with purpose, hands squeezing your thighs as he ascends to cup your ass.
Biting back your smile, you dig your thumb under his jawbone to angle his face toward yours as you dip to brush your lips over his.
“I don’t think I do, Namjoon.”
He lets out a growl snatching you down into his lap, “you can pee after I’m done with you.”
“But it’s going to..." You huff as he settles you in his lap, setting your back against his chest.
“I know.”
Namjoon begins to shuffle off your pants and pulls himself out of his, fumbling for a condom in his jacket pocket that's hanging out the back of the chair. Once the condom is on, he's thrusting up into you, before you’re prepped.
You cry out at the smarting, pleasurable feel of his girth opening you so intimately. Namjoon swallows your cries as he pulls your mouth to his for a kiss
“I’m sorry baby, I just need this”
You nod and he sits back with you in his lap, causing you tiptoe in an attempt to start moving.
“Joon I can’t touch.”
But he’s already blissed out. A hand under your shirt on your ribs and the other cupping your hip, thumb resting on the back of it encouraging you to rock forward.
“This is good.”
You bear down on him swirling your hips, arousal stirring especially when he moans and clutches you to him.
“Ah fuck,” his thighs bounce under yours as he ruts into you from below.
“Just like that!”
Laying back on his chest you roll your hips back and forth with a slight flex of your ass you’re able to pull him out and back in with a little bounce. Joon groans. Hands tightening on your body.
“Fuck you’re so full, I can feel you.”
You gasp when he thrusts his member roughly along your bladder.
“Oh,” heat flames across your cheeks, creeping up from your chest.
Namjoon groans, hand coming to pull your face to his for a kiss, but you don’t allow it. He lets out a low growl before you chuckle and let him kiss you. Moaning together, you urgently stroke him in and out of your cunt. Relishing in the feeling his body tightening beneath you.
“Baby-" he pants, warning you that he’s close.
“I know, go ahead.”
You work yourself hard as he begins to thrust upwards. The hand that had been on your ribs skims up to grasp your braless breast roughly.
Joon’s moans increase, “fuck I love having you completely against me like this.”
You nearly bite your tongue when his thumb and forefinger roll your peaked nipple. You arch against him.
“Baby,” Joon pants against the shell of your ear.
You turn your face to meet his, “Joonie.''
You gasp, the orgasm coiling inside you unbearably. His other hand drifts down to stroke your clit.
Nipples (leaving this mid writing note here because it's funny to me)
“Fuck!”
You cry out as Joon squeezes you to him, stroking your clit with a quick efficiency. The tension tightens up your body, both painful and pleasurable until it finally snaps. Aftershocks echo across your body, up your calves, and thighs, through your breast to the peaks of nipples. Soaking Namjoon’s lap, he is holding you in place as you struggle with yourself and your body's reaction.
“Oh goddamnit,” you wail.
Joon’s surprised laugh vibrates along your spine.
“How do you feel?”
“Worn out, and sweaty”
He laughs again and you groan at the feeling.
"Wait, don't move I figured it out."

Tumblr media
🃏- Ok so uhhhhh let's all just be honest with ourselves
🃏- I really really do enjoy his character and its development, but this man would not exactly be the best boyfriend
🃏- Obviously all diaboys have their extremely toxic flaws, so I'm gonna be as unbiased as I can and give him a worthy depiction
🃏- Depending on your personality and how you've acted towards him, I see him as someone who usually seeks out your comfort in trying times
🃏- It's moments like these where he's so unaccustomed to being vulnerable that he'll have a slight panic attack that you'll betray him
🃏- Luckily however, the more your relationship grows, the less that feeling will be there, but it will definitely take time
🃏- He's definitely asked you to shower with him multiple times, but for different reasons
🃏- Like sometimes he's genuinely so at peace to finally be naked and not hate himself after, or to share something so intimate with you that isn't sex
🃏- Let's be real, sex isn't something special for him, it's just a regular Saturday night
🃏- But knowing that he gets to share it for the first time in his life with someone who he feels safe around, is something he can get behind
🃏- Has you sit on his lap while you both do crossword puzzles together
🃏- Doesn't seem like the type who enjoys making big meals, so he prefers to take you out to eat if it's a special occasion
🃏- Honestly loves talking to you late at night(?) Or morning or whatever it is
🃏- He enjoys the honesty of the conversations and the fact that he doesn't need to see through you, you're just reading to him the pages of your mind
🃏- Watches shows like NCIS, Law and Order, Dexter, etc. He begssss you to watch it with him and catches you up to speed with the episodes
🃏- Realistically, he doesn't always want to cuddle and be in your space. Some nights he just needs time alone for whatever reason and teases you when you get lonely
🃏- Extremely clingy when he's having a hard time keeping his mask on so he tries to play it off as just his normal behaviour (if you know him well enough, you'd immediately catch on)
🃏- Give him well thought out gifts and he'll start planning your future together
🃏- Talks about growing old together and having kids
🃏- Speaking of, you're not dying to old human age on his watch. Whether you want to become a vampire or not, he will turn you into one, you are not leaving his side
🃏- Dry ass texts when he's fully awake and long ass convos when he's about to pass out
🃏- Helps you learn how to play sudoku but will purposely give you wrong tips the first time around so he can flaunt how good he is
🃏- Doesn't understand why you like it when he wears his glasses and insists he looks like an otaku
🃏- Late night walks away from the manor so you both can moon gaze and enjoy the serenity of nature
🃏- One time when Ayato bit you, you insisted that instead of causing drama, he try something more civil (He put laxatives in his Gatorade before a basketball match against another school)
🃏- Also on a related note, really enjoys pranking you and encourages you to prank him back
🃏- For some reason I can imagine him getting really into butterflies and their anatomy. I personally think he has his own sketchbook where he draws them and makes notes on the different species
🃏- Loves to fly kites, he does not care whether you're with him or not, will fly a kite because why not
🃏- Watches mukbangs with you and even chooses the next couple videos
🃏- Jokes about you starting an OF, but had a nightmare that your dream partner found you and whisked you away from him like a prince in shinning armour
🃏- He enjoys playing hand games with you. Yeah idk why I thought about this but it seems to fit
🃏- Enjoys seeing you wear modest clothes. Not because he's picturing the underneath, but he knows you're gorgeous because you can pull being modest AND being naked off
🃏- Wants a Shiba Inu as a pet someday
🃏- He really tries to love you even if he does hurt you from time to time

I think one thing to remember about (some presentations of) ADHD is that it isn't always a literal internal dialogue of "That task is overwhelming/too hard/too many steps/unrewarding so I won't do it". For me, it's more like the idea of doing that task slides off my brain like butter in a hot pan. I will look at an overwhelming task and before I even finish the thought of "I should do that" my brain shakes like an etch a sketch and I've already forgotten it.
This particularly pissed my mom off when I was a kid because it's hard for me to see a sink full of dishes and associate that with "I need to do dishes", or she'd tell me to vacuum but because I wasn't immediately looking at a vacuum, I'd forget to do it. ADHD was weirdly very quiet for me, because I just wouldn't see things that overwhelmed me!
I'm now an adult who has lived on my own (/with another ADHD roommate) for 8 years now, been through therapy, and am medicated, so under the readmore I'll put some ways I combat this clear-cache process my brain does.
(obligatory im not a therapist or a doctor or anything so make sure you're consulting with those folks before doing anything major with your life. I have ADHD and have been treated for it, as well as I teach kids how to manage their neurodiversity as a job)
"I just can't remember to do something that I need to do regularly." This sucks to hear, but the answer really is routines. Routines are essential for helping manage sanity and overwhelm and keeping your house in order. And I know, firsthand, that ADHDers struggle with forming routines, but here's my major tips: scaffold. Scaffolding, or chaining, or stacking or any other name refers to picking something you already do at a set time (it's easiest if it's something you HAVE to do, like go to work or wake up in the morning, etc), and pairing your new routine task with that. And also its important to only try adding one thing to a routine at a time. Don't try to start showering, brushing your teeth, packing tomorrow's lunch, setting out clothes for the morning, reading, journalling, and doing yoga before bed all at once. Start with just brushing your teeth before you go to bed every day for like 2 weeks. Once you're solid on doing that, start adding in something else! People kinda hate on the book bc it's full of platitudes but I really liked a lot of the stuff in Atomic Habits by James Clear for setting new habits.
"I can't remember to do something that I don't need to do regularly. It's hard because I can't work it into a routine." It is not a shameful thing to need to make different visual or physical reminder for when you need to do things. Two things I particularly struggle with is turning the A/C off when I leave a room, or turning the oven off when I'm done using it. For the former, I have a small card I laminated that says 'turn off heat' that I velcro to the thermostat. When I turn the A/C on, I take the card and put it in my pocket or on my shirt or hair or somewhere where I will have it with me so that I can see the card later and remember to turn it off. For the latter, I have a necklace that I put a little tag on it that says 'OVEN' on it. When I turn the oven on, I put the necklace on, and it stays on until I turn the oven off and can take the necklace off. Try creating environmental things that work for you! I've seen people put their meds next to the canned cat food because their cats would remind them to feed them, and they would see their meds then and remember to take them!
"My working memory is really poor, I forget what I was doing in the middle of doing it." This is a kind of hard one to work on without just actively doing things in your life, but something I find that kinda helps me is doing puzzles! I'm not a big jigsaw puzzle person, but I love sudoku, pictogram, and crosswords (and some of the other things like wordle etc.) Logic puzzles are another good way to work on needing to hold something in your working memory. Puzzle video games like Portal are also good for exercising your working memory. Working memory is a bit like a muscle, and needs to be stretched to hone as a skill. When you're in the middle of one task, and another one comes up, having a pen and paper ALWAYS handy makes it easy to jot down a reminder about something you need to do later. This is often called a 'parking lot', and works well for me!
Closing notes: 2 other books to check out are How to ADHD by jessica mccabe, and The Anti-planner by Dani Donovan. The former is extremely good for an overview of what living with ADHD and working with your brain is like, and the latter is actionable activities to help with breaking tasks into more manageable formats.

Hi, I wonder if you have any recommendations on sleeping schedules, I always fall asleep way too late (4am) so I end up waking up past noon, it’s a mess for holding a job and being a “functional adult” in general.
I’ve had this issue my whole life, even as a young kid I would struggle with mornings, but now I have to pay rent so I’m running out of options.
Also, any tip about getting to places on time would be super appreciated.
Thanks for all the info <3
Sent September 28, 2023
Sleep can be really hard. I don't usually go to bed until the wee hours myself, but I blame that on menopause more than anything else, since it wasn't a thing before.
When I had trouble with sleep as a young adult, it was usually because I'd gotten hyperfocused on something and forgot that sleep is good.
What I've found is that having a really basic bedtime routine can help a lot, and I try to follow the same sequence of events regardless of what time I finally start heading to bed. This helps remind my brain and my body that sleep is good, and makes it more likely to happen.
You might have to play around a bit to find what works best for you, but mine is as follows:
Realize I'm sleepy
Feed my guinea pigs
Use the bathroom
Change into pyjamas
Do some puzzles (e.g., Sudoku) until I'm falling asleep while trying to solve them
Some people read until they're falling asleep, but I can't read before bed because I hyperfocus on words and will stay up all night reading.
If you really can't figure out a way to get yourself to bed earlier, look for work that will fit into your sleep schedule. Things like night security, convenience store staff, etc. could work really well for you.
Being on time for things is hard, and different strategies work for different people.
When I was struggling most with being on time, I tried all the things everyone says to do: I had a designated spot to keep things like my keys and my wallet, I set alarms, etc. But I was still late.
Eventually, I figured out that it doesn't matter how ready I am, when I need to leave I will putter around for a while before actually walking out the door. There's always "just one more thing" that I "need" to do before I go. I timed myself, and I was puttering for an hour every time.
So I figured out what time I needed to leave in order to arrive on time (I was living in Calgary, Alberta, at the time, and it took about half an hour to drive anywhere I needed to be), and then I added an hour on to that and adjusted my alarms. I had one go off an hour before I needed to be on my way, and another go off when I needed to be in the car.
Another thing that really helped was having someone message me or call me when I should be on my way, particularly if I was giving them a ride.
These days, most of my things are with friends. I message or text them when I'm leaving, since that tells them when to expect me (I live in the country and am half an hour from the city). This helps deal with frustration and lets them know that I do, in fact, value their time. I'm not late because I don't care, I'm late because time isn't real.
Followers, do you have any thoughts on these issues? How do you deal with matters of sleep and timeliness?

PLAY SUDOKO ONLINE
Tumblr media
Introduction: Sudoku is a classic number puzzle game that has captivated millions of players worldwide for decades. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced puzzle solver, Sudoku offers a brain-boosting challenge that can improve concentration, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills. In this blog post, we’ll dive into the basics of Sudoku, its benefits, how to play, and why it’s an excellent pastime for people of all ages.
What is Sudoku? Sudoku is a puzzle game that consists of a 9x9 grid, divided into nine 3x3 subgrids. The objective of the game is to fill in the entire grid with numbers from 1 to 9, ensuring that each number appears only once in each row, column, and subgrid. The puzzle starts with some numbers already filled in, and it’s up to the player to solve the puzzle by logically deducing the missing numbers.
The History of Sudoku: The roots of Sudoku can be traced back to ancient number puzzles, but the modern version we know and love was popularized in Japan in the 1980s. The game quickly spread worldwide and became a staple in newspapers, puzzle books, and online platforms. Sudoku’s simplicity, yet challenging nature, has made it one of the most beloved puzzle games ever.
How to Play Sudoku: Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to play Sudoku:
Understand the Grid: The Sudoku grid consists of 81 squares, organized into 9 rows, 9 columns, and 9 smaller 3x3 subgrids. Some numbers are already placed in the grid, while others are missing.
Fill in the Numbers: Your goal is to fill in the empty squares with numbers from 1 to 9, making sure that:
Each number appears only once in every row.
Each number appears only once in every column.
Each number appears only once in every 3x3 subgrid.
Use Logic and Deduction: Sudoku is a game of logic. The key to solving it is eliminating possibilities and using the numbers already placed on the grid to help you figure out where other numbers go.
Stay Patient: Some Sudoku puzzles can be challenging, but patience and logical reasoning will eventually lead you to the solution.
Types of Sudoku Puzzles: Sudoku puzzles vary in difficulty levels, ranging from easy to expert. Here are the most common types:
Easy Sudoku: Ideal for beginners or casual players, easy Sudoku puzzles have more numbers filled in, leaving fewer gaps to fill.
Medium Sudoku: These puzzles are suitable for players with some experience and require a bit more logical thinking to solve.
Hard Sudoku: Challenging puzzles that require more advanced strategies, such as penciling in potential numbers and working through different possibilities.
Expert Sudoku: These puzzles are for advanced players, featuring minimal clues and requiring in-depth reasoning and deduction.
Benefits of Playing Sudoku: Playing Sudoku isn’t just fun; it also provides several cognitive benefits. Here are some reasons to include Sudoku in your daily routine:
Improves Concentration and Focus: Sudoku requires you to pay attention to detail and focus on the task at hand, helping to improve concentration.
Enhances Logical Thinking and Problem Solving: By eliminating options and using deductive reasoning, players improve their logical thinking skills.
Boosts Memory: Sudoku challenges your memory, as you need to recall numbers and patterns to solve the puzzle.
Stress Relief: Engaging in a Sudoku puzzle can provide a sense of calm and relaxation, offering a healthy distraction from daily stress.
Brain Exercise: Just like any other form of mental exercise, solving Sudoku puzzles regularly keeps your brain sharp and active, potentially lowering the risk of cognitive decline with age.
Tips and Strategies for Solving Sudoku:
Start with the Easy Numbers: Look for rows, columns, or subgrids that have a lot of filled-in numbers. This will give you a head start in filling in the missing ones.
Use Pencil Marks: For difficult puzzles, consider writing down possible numbers in the empty squares. This will help you narrow down the options.
Work on One Area at a Time: Instead of jumping around the grid, focus on one row, column, or subgrid at a time to find numbers.
Check for Hidden Singles: Sometimes, a number can only fit in one possible location within a row, column, or subgrid, even if it's not immediately obvious.
Practice, Practice, Practice: The more you play, the better you’ll become. With each puzzle, you’ll develop new strategies to approach the game.
Where to Play Sudoku: Sudoku can be played both online and offline, making it accessible wherever you are. Here are some ways to enjoy Sudoku:
Printed Sudoku Puzzles: Find Sudoku puzzles in newspapers, magazines, or puzzle books.
Online Sudoku: Websites and apps offer thousands of Sudoku puzzles for free, with varying difficulty levels.
Mobile Apps: Download Sudoku apps for your smartphone or tablet to play on the go.
Conclusion: Sudoku is more than just a game; it’s an exciting challenge that provides mental stimulation, boosts cognitive abilities, and offers a sense of accomplishment once the puzzle is completed. Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, Sudoku has something to offer for everyone. So, grab a puzzle, put your logic skills to the test, and enjoy the thrill of solving one of the world’s most popular puzzles!

GOOD PUZZLE DESIGN ADVISE
Three important categories.
PRESENTATION of the puzzle to the solver. ELEGANCY of the puzzle; the comfort in solving it. ASPIRATION to make the puzzle special.
I think this is a good source; it's not massively in depth, but it covers the basic knowledge needed to make a competent puzzle for consumers to enjoy. It's not catered necessarily only to jigsaws, but it still brings up points that perfectly apply.
Researching how to make a good jigsaw also includes investigating thought processes of how people solve them, and especially what methods they think to do so the "best" or "quickest" so you can add the relevant aspects to your own puzzle without overdoing it.

TW: Mentions of body dysphoria
People who work with death often have a different outlook on life than the average person. Even when you compare them to most healthcare workers it isn’t quite the same. I’ve met many nurses who were reluctant to touch a patient once they had died.
In some cases, these people live their life to the fullest. They are secure with the knowledge of what happens to their body after death, and see the beauty in each day.
Some are… overwhelmed to say the least. The immense pressure of their job combined with their own insecurities can make day to day life harder. But the fulfillment of this industry keeps them going.
Other then bitter, angry. A lot of these people will turn to alcohol in their downtime. They are burnt out, compassion fatigued, and have become robotic in their work. For these people, if they don’t leave the industry they make life a living hell for those who are still in it.
It’s no wonder the burnout rate is only 5 years.
I personally fall under the second category. I really try my best to make each day bright and positive but it’s not easy for me. My imperfections haunt me daily. I’m a slow learner. I’m a fat person who cannot hop aboard the body positivity train to save my life. I’m messy. I’m exhausted all the time. I want so damn badly to succeed. It feels like I’m on the edge of greatness and downfall daily, and with every win I manage to make some sort of set back.
I keep telling myself that it’s okay not to be perfect, but it’s hard when I feel like I’m lying to myself.
If anyone else feels like this, here are some tips that I personally use to try to combat these feelings:
1) Read. A fan fiction, a book, a catalog, whatever. Just make sure it’s not tied to “doom scrolling” cause I promise you hearing about how bad the housing market is for the millionth time this week will not make you feel any better.
2) Exercise when you can. I personally like going on walks in pretty much any weather so long it’s not blistering hot outside. Sometimes a 20 minute walk in the rain will heal your soul.
3) Challenge yourself. Puzzles, crosswords, Sudoku, or if your hands on and creative you can build something. It doesn’t have to be hard, just something that can get your mind going.
4) Take care of yourself. When you’re like me and have depression this one can be…. Pretty rough sometimes. Best thing I’ve learned to do is just make it easier on yourself. I have strategically placed things like hair brushes, mints, nail clippers, deodorant, water bottles, and various other items that smell nice throughout my home and car. There are plenty of times where going into the bathroom to brush my teeth seemed like a giant weight I couldn’t shake. However, it’s a lot easier to brush my hair when it’s right next to my bedside. Or if it’s in my car when I decide to lay in bed until the last minute.
Granted, everyone has something that works best for them. The important thing to remember is even if you haven’t found it yet, keep trying. We haven’t lost until we’ve stopped trying

ok sea of darkness review
great vibes and ambience. unfortunately the world felt too empty. not the setting as a whole (the emptiness added to the vibes) but the ship especially felt like, for as beautiful as it was, there was nothing in the rooms except for places for you to stand and do sudoku. like there were a lot of locations to visit, but not a lot to do as far as exploring and snooping and like. being a detective. i think ran was the first game to really have this problem but this is a more general problem with the later nd games as a whole. e.g. in trt you dust for fingerprints and unlock a security system with a 4 digit code. if trt had been made in 2013-2015 you would have had to recreate the fibonacci sequence with music notes or something in order to achieve the same effect. like why to unlock soren’s tablet did we have to create volcanic winter with pictograms? isn’t the point of a password to be able to quickly and easily access the info on your tablet rather than ruminating over a puzzle, regardless of how fun and cute it is?? volcanic winter should have been a minigame that you could access Inside soren’s tablet, kind of like finger tips for typing, and maybe soren is obsessed w it and makes nancy play and beat him bc he’s bored and lonely and THEN we get to develop soren’s character while integrating the puzzle into the gameplay idk. also why did we have to play 2048 to turn on the lighthouse, that seems like another thing that you would want to do pretty much instantaneously lol. the game throwing in a little meta joke about how unnecessarily complicated it was didn’t make it better. it would have been really cool to actually have nancy go in and collect materials to improvise lighting the lighthouse from scratch, maybe using refraction or fire starting or something (probably impossible w real physics but whatever nancy operated a jetpack in hau who cares). then you get the sense of urgency of running around grabbing items that you’ve seen before but only now have put together how to combine them to solve a puzzle, rather than just sudoku variant #6049283. i’m biased bc i love mechanical puzzles tho.
i actually did like a lot of the puzzles but a lot of them felt like they should have been bonus puzzles, e.g. i liked that the dinner serving puzzle was optional, it felt like a combination of saw bento and ice cooking but less stressful. for some of the nd games i can understand having puzzles (like cur where it’s multiple generations of genuine eccentrics purposefully creating puzzles to stump their descendants as part of an initiation ritual) but there was absolutely Nothing in lawrence’s character that indicated that he would create something like this for his descendants to solve (i had the same problem with gth). only sort of related but oh my GOD why did magnus have his stuffed animals like that. towards endgame it really did feel like sudoku after sudoku after sudoku for no reason. and again - i enjoyed the puzzles! i like doing puzzles!! the one puzzle that i REALLY loved was the bilge puzzle with the numbers. it felt like classic nd and was quite hard and the sense of urgency was there. but i’d argue having So Many puzzles dragged the plot to a dead standstill and pulled the focus away from the characters.
speaking of, the characters were fine to great. the culprit was too obvious and there was very little mystery around their motivation for me. gunnar was the best character. elisabet was just kind of there and felt like kyler reskinned and done slightly better. soren was fun. dagny was fine but why did the devs put a big chunk of her backstory dialogue over the heater puzzle, like stop talking i’m trying to concentrate lol. there also wasn’t a whole lot of intrigue wrt the characters. people were surprisingly up front with their motivations (esp dagny) which was fine but i felt like the character twists came too late or not at all. you sort of just got what everybody was about from the moment go and there was no need to delve any deeper. again except for gunnar, whose character revelation was really nice and really beautifully acted.
also there wasn’t really a greater theme connecting all the characters. gth for all its flaws did this really well. in sea they tried to do something like “we all treated [culprit] badly because we’re a small town and we should do better” but we didn’t Really get to see that in action. especially from magnus who outright says this but we never really get to see that in writing throughout the game so it kind of comes out of nowhere from him (unless i’m missing something). also magnus was kind of a joke character w his limericks and his obsession w the ship but again when we met him we didn’t really get any of that. i didn’t buy his and elisabet’s connection or relationship and when they got back together at the end i was like oh. uhh..okay. again inconsistent characterization a la thornton hall for the purpose of cramming puzzles into every last nook and cranny of the game
dagny’s lesbianism was like. nothing. i had heard she was a canon lesbian before playing so i was kind of excited to see what HeR would do with it and when i got to it i was so disappointed but i can’t really put my finger on why. i guess it’s not that it was stated nonchalantly but that it’s completely superfluous to the plot whereas they had PLENTY of chances over their entire catalogue of games to change any number of straight romances into gay ones WHILE tying into character themes and beats but they didn’t (colton comes to mind in particular, maybe deirdre too). however i respect that it made a bunch of people on the nd forums very mad. that made me like it a little more lol
they did a good job with the setting but i wanted them to take it even further. there was a little bit of viking and volcano stuff right at the beginning but it didn't really go anywhere. also so sad we didn't get a nancy drew hot springs epsiode :(
anyway despite all that i really loved the game. it was a solid 7 or 8 out of 10 for me. i’ve said this multiple times but the thing that really sells a game for me is the ambience and sea had that in droves. i am personally not a big fan of the puzzles being almost completely divorced from the story but i respect that that’s some people’s thing. i will probably play it again but boy did the matchy puzzles get old by the end

WRITING TIPS FOR PEOPLE WITH ADHD
You guys liked my other post with writing tips, so I thought I'd make a list for this too. I have ADHD combined type and I've written two novels and dozens of short stories, so here is what works for me!
If you have meds, take them a while before you start working and do something else. I like to play dress up games while I wait for them to kick in, because it's creative enough to wake up my brain. Doll Divine has really cool and artistic games. Only use activities that have clear end points so it's easier to stop when your meds have kicked in. Stay away from open world games or anything with an endless scroll.
Have special locations that you only use to write. Make sure you bring a flannel or jacket in case the AC is too cold, and bring headphones in case there's noises there. Try several different places until you find something comfortable. I like casual spaces where there's nooks and comfy chairs. Coffee shops are my go-to.
If you can't leave the house, sit in a particular spot in your room and make that your writing spot. Only sit in that spot when you're writing.
Speaking of headphones, rainymood.com is my go-to for drowning out noise. Usually I like background chatter, but if there's a buzzing fan or someone talking too loud on the phone, this site helps.
Start by re-reading what you wrote last time and making small edits. You might have to read it a few times before you can pay attention and that's okay. Just keep re-reading and making edits as you notice them until you feel more in the zone.
If you are at home, take breaks to put on music and jump around. I like Latin music for this purpose. If you're in public, try just walking around the building a couple times.
If I really can't get into it, for some reason it helps to take a break and make some tea. Green tea with ginger is calming enough to help me focus while also having a little boost of caffeine.
If you notice big changes need to be made and you can't relax until you deal with it but know it would take ages to fix, put it in a comment and move on.
If you want to get a big distracting section out of your way without totally deleting it, you can use a separate doc and copy paste it in there. Or download the SideNote add-on for Google docs.
Set reminders on your phone to eat and go to the bathroom in case you get too hyperfocused. I've forgotten to eat for entire days because I was writing, so it's good to have a back-up in case you go down the rabbit hole.
If you start getting really frustrated that you can't focus and you feel like you want to scream, take a break. Get a snack. Play sudoku. Make some coffee or tea. Sit outside. Be wary of checking your phone though, because it's easy to get wrapped up in that.
I tend to put all my usual fidget toys somewhere I can't get to them when I'm writing, because I find that if I pick one up to think, I can't put it back down to start typing. Everyone is different but look out for that and if you find them distracting you, set them aside.
Consider turning off your phone. If that's not an option, a lot of phones have a wellness feature that allows you to set app timers or turn your screen black and white. Consider setting your phone to go into wellness mode when it's time to write so it's less tempting.
Lastly, there are going to be days when it just doesn't work. Even with my meds, I sometimes just spend three hours beating my head against a wall and then go home. It's okay. Creative work is hard for anyone, especially when you're fighting your ADHD every step of the way. Don't beat yourself up and don't let it discourage you. Even if you didn't put anything down, you still spent some time thinking about writing, and that's worth something. Try again the next day and the day after and you'll get it eventually. The flow state is worth trying for.
Update: bolded some important items for accessibility

Resting your head on their lap!
Tumblr media
Characters: Ran Haitani, Rindou Haitani, Sanzu Haruchiyo
Warnings: fluff, it gets a little wild in Sanzus 👀 (17+ Blog)
A/n: I was giggling the whole way writing this
Tumblr media
➵ RAN HAITANI
After a long, hard day, there was nothing more indulgent than sinking into the arms of Ran Haitani. His ability to soothe out your worries and calm your nerves was with his light touches and soft words was a gift – one that you wouldn’t squander.
Your heart calls out, wanting to demand that he join you in bed, that he hold you like he’s supposed to – but he’s so entranced by the movie playing in the living room.
A strong surge of selfishness burns shamefully, knowing he doesn’t get much free time. Juggling Bonten with a relationship is no easy feat, so you compromise. Waddling in, without so much as a word, you plop into his lap turning to watch the movie with him.
Automatically a pair of warm hands sink into your hair, scraping deviously against your scalp. Melting into his magic touch, you hear him laugh before resting a small kiss on your head.
You’re home.
 ➵ RINDOU HAITANI
Throwing Rindou off is your favourite way to kill time, why wouldn’t it be? Especially when you’re rewarded with his pretty blush and if you’re lucky, a cute stammer.
He’s on the sofa, furiously scribbling at his book, trying to solve a Sudoku puzzle Sanzu said he couldn’t. Plopping next to him, you lay your head gently in his lap and wait for his lilac eyes to find you.
When they do, his book tilts, revealing his pursed lips.
“What are you doing?” He grumbles, tucking the pencil behind his ear before moving your head away. He returns to the puzzle – his face once again hidden behind a chunky set of pages.
Pouting up at him, you can almost see the exasperation on his face. It doesn’t take long before he gently guides your head back, muttering under his breath. Pretty pink rushes to his neck and dusts the tips of his ears.
With a cute smile you blow him a kiss, “Let me see it too, you’ve been at this for ages.”
Hunched over you, he manoeuvres the book in your line of vision. Nuzzling into his legs, his chest radiates a comforting warmth that almost makes you sleepy.
“You’re like a damn cat,” he gripes, but you can hear the smile in his voice.
BONUS:
“No way! You solved it?”
The disbelief dripping from Sanzu’s tone is almost comical as Rindou chucks the puzzle book over – hitting the idiot square in the chest before flopping onto the desk. As the pink haired man sulkily gathers his money to hand over, his mind wanders to you, perched in his lap, shouting numbers at him at the speed of light.
Rolling his eyes, Rindou smirks, “Piece of cake.”
 ➵ SANZU HARUCHIYO
Finally, Sanzu’s back from his long dinner with the boys. You watch him plop onto the couch, sinking deeply into the cushions, pretty lashes fanning his face as he releases a deep sigh. He looks so calm, you can’t help but draw near, resting your head upon his thighs. Eyes fluttering open to reveal glittering blue jewels, his lips stretching into a devious grin.
“Really shouldn’t have done that sweetheart.”
His hand reaches out to tangle in your hair. Raising a brow at his words, your scrunched face meets his as he lets out a conniving chuckle.
Then, you hear it.
The loud ‘THPPTPHTPHPHHPH’ rips across the room as your eyes widen in realisation. The hand you thought was going to stroke through your delicate locks, instead presses against you, holding you in place. The devastating stench emanates from him as you splutter and struggle.
It’s so suffocating you can’t even open your mouth to shout at him. His ringing laughter can be heard in the distance as you fight desperately for your life. This is not how I die, you think firmly – surprised his abominable fart hadn’t tampered with your coherent thoughts.
As a last resort, your hand reaches over, attacking blindly until you reach your target. It’s confirmed when he jolts with a yelp, releasing you from his onslaught. Once you roll out-with his reach - coughing all the way - you glare at your stupid boyfriend from a safe distance.
“What the hell baby?” He sputters, clutching his precious manhood, eyes narrowing as you scowl back.
“Could say the same for you,” you wheeze, “I’m never touching you again!”
BONUS:
Sanzu stares at the ceiling, restless from your touch, or lack thereof. It’s not fair, he thinks, you look so peaceful as he’s forced to lie awake and alone. Poking your side repeatedly, he waits for your tired, ‘what?’
“Will you hug me now?”
“No.”
It’s going to be a long night.
