my phone got stolen.

...myeahhh.

i just. could not be bothered nor muster the strength to even try to explain the situation after the fact on here. just worked thru the problems that arise with it, and thats that. getting a new phone and trying my darndest to gain a fraction back of what i lost

#this happened on the 22nd in the evening soo.. im okay rn but man. that hurt bad in a way i cant describe #i couldnt even go home right away. i wanted to look thru security footage- dindt see anything. 20 min gone by #i wanted to go home but my locker key was also in the wallet phone case. augh. another 20 min for that lock to get cut open #race home to immediately go online to lock the stolen credit card also in that wallet case. the thieves tried to use it many many times #at least 8 by now #augh.#took forever to get what i have sorted out. ive never done so many business calls in my life jfdklsjflj #or changed so many phone numbers or fiddled with apple to PLEASE ERASE MY PHONE OH MY GODD THAT PHONE ISNT MINE ANYMORE PLS LET ME KILL IT #but the thieves turned it off the moment they took it so they couldnt be tracked. so thats that #credit bank stuff should be sorted by now.. trying to get some of my games from my apple acc back :(( like cookierun ovenbreak.. sadge #my workplace informed me that the ppl who were suspected of stealing it were in fact the ones that did it.#and i told her 'i hope you drive home safe' :(((((#aughh.#my new phone is attached to a leash so it'll be on my person at all times from now on #the one time i wasnt as careful w my phone for specific reasons and this happens right. well i learned my hard hard lesson #i could have lost everything #i was lucky i listened to my parents and only carried what i did carry at the time and not more #this changed smth in me man. i sure wont be so trusting or laid back anymore

Yeah McLaren car is clearly superior. And despite that charles is still ahead of lando on the standings, so how come is anyone concluding that lando is "surpassing" charles on skills??

True that Charles is still ahead, but we better figure out the electronics issue on our car, or that won't last long. Clearly not related to Charles lacking any skills (in fact, I think his drive on Sunday is HUGELY underrated!), but I think this is the point the previous anon was trying to make. That there always ends up something screwing Charles's over, leading to him dropping in the standings. If McLaren has no reliability issues and better upgrades, Norris will power ahead of Charles pretty easily. Whether that means he becomes a more skilled driver than Charles remains to be seen.

#i find it hard to compare the driver skills anyway #unless they were all driving the same car #under the same conditions #it's like apples to oranges #would have to look at sim racing to do true comparisons #but that's still not the same as in a real f1 car #charles leclerc #anon ask

so for the last, like, 12+ years my poor, ancient computer (2009) randomly ejected my poor, ancient external hard drive, where I keep my tv shows and movies and stuff. Move a millimetre, eject. have to plug it in and out ten times, finally recognised, sneeze, eject. etc.

So I looked into getting the usbs fixed, but since they’re connected to the motherboard it was extortionate price. And i looked online and everyone said this generation of macbook had really dodgy usbs. so i’ve just accepted this and dealt with the constant ejecting. For 12 years.

since it’s so old, the cable is starting to fray at the start of the cable, so I bought a new cable online.

It has not ejected once. It was never the fucking dodgy usb ports it was the bloody wire that came with the hard drive. 12 fucking years and I never was smart enough to replace the fucking cable. But since everyone said ‘yeah the ports are all like that’ and it was a brand name hard drive from a big company I just stupidly assumed it was fine.

Lads.

IT WAS THE CABLE.

#in a strange place today and i need to put this somewhere. i do not have a journal yet. this is it #my grandad was diagnosed with dementia years ago and the grandad i have now is often unrecognisable from the one i grew up with #and while this like isn’t fun and it is strange for him to look at me and not know me more times than he does. it has also been kind of l #lovely?#bc he thinks my granny is still alive so whenever i get to go see him i get to pretend she is too. and she is for a minute. and tho i am #glad she went before him. it is nice to say oh i’m popping in to see her after this grandad and talk about her like she’s hasn’t been gone #since i’ve been ten. my dad has spoken more to him in the last five years than he has his whole life #he was not an easy man. he was loud and friendly and hard working and funny and scary but not easy. in ways he is even #harder now. in others he is easier.#he is more of a child. this is what dementia can do to a brain. we are learning things about his childhood that no one alive has ever spoken #about. that no one knew. my dad doesn’t love him more now but he understands him better #my grandad taught me how to drive a tractor and how to fish through my dad and he has not recognised me in over a year and he #hasn’t walked since he broke his pelvis seven years ago and his muscles are nearly all gone. he is a fraction of the size he used to be. his #personality and body took up my childhood like adults on the screen in cartoons. he hasn’t dressed himself in a decade. he told one of the #nurses that after dinner he wanted ice cream plain like herself and nearly peed when she laughed and told him to fuck off #he is in there. he is himself. i know him. but he isn’t. he doesn’t know me but he allows me to tell him how to ppl he knows are doing. he #still somehow trusts me. we talk a lot about my granny and how she stayed up watching tv again last night so she’s tired today. don’t stay #long when you call in to see her?#whenever we would journey to see him and my granny and get in v late he’d ask us if we wanted apple tart and my granny would say michael.#not ur kids. u can’t parent them. he didn’t know my name yesterday but he asked me if i wanted apple tart #i hope he dies soon. for all that i will miss this. miss my dad having this. he would not want to live like this. it wouldntbe living to him

Four of my five current interests can be described as “cartoon about mostly prepubescent kids doing wacky stuff” and yet all four of them are so drastically different in tone

#camp camp #codename: kids next door #strawberry shortcake #south park #the four cartoons in question #the fifth interest is eddsworld #which is ‘cartoon about adult men who act like kids doing wacky stuff’#the ‘mostly’ is because camp camp and south park also have adults do ‘wacky’ shit as well #knd has adults and teens trying to stop said ‘wacky stuff’#and 2/4 of the ssc cartoons have her be prepubescent #she’s 6 in the 80s and about 10 I think in the 03 version #until 07 where’s she aged up to be about 16 cause she can drive now #bba is hard cause the wiki says she’s 12-14 but I actually think she’s around 18 years old she has a full time job and is kinda a caretaker?#bitbc she can drive and has a job but she’s visibly younger than the adults and older teens in that series so she’s probably about 13 #and big apple city just has some weird laws about this stuff #rotomtalks
