The fresh water fish Sciaena coiter Ham. was collected from local fish market of district Balrampur, Uttar Pradesh, India. Five specimens of fresh water fish Sciaena coiter Ham. were examined, of which only one specimen was found infected with single specimen of said species. The site of infection being the gill filaments of the host. Kumar and Agarwal, 1993 erected the genus Yogendrotrema from Varanasi with Yogendrotrema rajghatai as type species. The present form differs from the known species Yogendrotrema rajghatai in having septate oral sucker, extension of Vitellaria in haptor region also. On subsequent study, the present form appear to be a new species of the genus Yogendrotrema, Kumar and Agarwal, 1993 and is regarded as a new species and named Yogendrotrema balrampurai n. sp. since it is recorded from district Balrampur.

Understanding Language and Culture with Culture Haptoral Activity Theory - Tyler Kostecki

Before reading this article my professor briefly mentioned the concepts and importance of the CHAT map, however he hadn't quite went into detail. He did thought mention at the beginning of the semester that this class wouldn’t be like other English classes and that we wouldn't be doing the traditional essays which I was excited about because of course that can get boring. In the article Kostecki states "Like many of my peers, I had been “primed” by middle school and high school teachers to write in a specific way. This way of writing involved creating a paper in a “standardized” format that included an introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion." This quote directly stood out to me because it describes the traditional essays I mentioned that I had been used to writing. Although I was glad we wouldn’t be writing those types of essays I was also not so excited about doing "creative" writing either. However, it wasn't just about the creative aspect as Kostecki quotes "This theory was developed to help people think about the complexity of the production of all different kinds of texts. CHAT sets up a model and offers a way of understanding the complex nature of analyzing textual productions. This theory also helps people get a better understanding of language and culture (Walker 71-72)" After reading this article I was able to not only understand the seven concepts production, reception, representation, ecology, activity, socialization, and distribution, but also when my professor actually explained it during class it was easier to pick up and use them in my projects.
