A Message to @danielhowell On His Birthday.

So someone on Facebook mentioned that the phandom should write dan messages of how much he means to them for his birthday. I don’t know if that is still happening, but I felt like it was such an amazing idea I had to do it anyway. I don’t know if this will reach him today or if he will ever see it at all, but Here it goes anyway.

When I felt like a weirdo for talking to myself, you showed me I wasn’t the only one.

When I felt ugly, you reminded me that real beauty comes from within.

When my anxiety was taking over my life, seeing you smile from my computer screen calmed me like nothing ever has before.

When I went to interactive introverts after two months of feeling like my world was caving in around me, I left smiling more than I had in a long long time, all because of you (and phil)

And when I watched your video about depression, after being numb for weeks and weeks, I finally let go and cried because I realised you were describing everything I felt and now I’m trying hard to make a positive change in my life, because you made me realise that I needed to.

You made me feel less alone, less ugly, less of a failure and less like giving up

You’ve made me smile, laugh, cry and contemplate things I never have before

You may have only been a part of my life for a few months now, but you’ve already changed it for the better.

You’ve helped me through one of the hardest points in my life, you can’t possibly imagine how much that means to me, and I know I’m not the only one.

I know you are older than me but when I think about how far you have come, from hating yourself to accepting yourself and embracing it, I get proud parent feelings. I know that doesn't really make sense but whatever. I've been watching your videos since before the gaming channel started and you have helped me through so much even though you have no idea I even exist. Seriously I've been on the verge of suicide multiple times and I have even attempted a couple times but you helped me through that. Both you and Phil have helped me through so much and I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you so much for just being who you are. Honestly your video feel more like home than my actual house does.
