And they looked genuinely happy too, happy in a way that he could never really draw out of them when the apocalypse started. 

He-uh didn’t really know what to think of that, since you know… he wasn’t there with them.

NOT THAT HE WASN’T GLAD THEY WERE HAPPY! Man upstairs no, they needed a break from that constant depressive atmosphere, and he missed seeing Unikitty all bright and carefree, her fur a nice soft pink compared to the harsh fiery red she’d been sporting for the past few years. As he continued to observe what was happening not like he had a choice it looked like the aliens weren’t that evil.

Giggling and blushing and kicking my feet!! It always feels so GOOD to start fixating on Rex again 🥺💘💘 it feels so natural! Like that's where it's meant to be, you know? And whenever I'm worried that the feeling isn't as strong anymore, literally all I have to do is look at content or rewatch some episodes and it all floods back to me!! That comfortable feeling of KNOWING you're loved, the warmth of being secure with someone and knowing you're protected in their arms, it's always there. Sometimes I just need to be reminded is all.

Cold days are perfect for snuggling with Zhongli...and your Rex Lapis plushies.

It's a typical winter's day, the weather shrouding all it touches with discomfiting cold. The kind of cold that makes people retreat into their homes instead of spending the night out, fireplaces alight and mugs unwaveringly steaming.

On such a night as this, Zhongli and you seek comfort in each other's warmth - well, you more so than Zhongli, since he seems to radiate warmth like your own personal sun. And the sweet man is, of course, always happy to oblige.

He's comfy and soft - and so is your favorite Rex Lapis plushie, which is your other lovely companion in bed tonight. Cuddling and squishing the silly ol' thing while Zhongli has his arms wrapped around you is the best possible way to spend any day. You hold it out to your husband, and he pats the little plush dragon's head. You promptly place it on his belly, stating its fuzziness will enhance his comfort. Chuckling in response, he lets it stay there.

Seeing Zhongli all snug in bed with your plushie gives you an idea. You scurry out of bed to fetch the rest of your Rex Lapises - because what devotee has only one plushie of him?

You pile them onto him one by one, and he welcomes them with more headpats...until he can't pat them anymore because you're burying his arms under more of your soft Rexies. Soon enough, it's like you're building your very own mountain, with Zhongli as the unwitting base.

Your darling has resigned himself to his fate; he makes not a peep as you pile more and more plushies onto him, effectively burying him in your all-too-expansive collection.

Cheesing with pride as you place the last plushie down, leaving him hidden away (save for his face peering out innocently from beneath the fluffy mountain), you admire your work.

While he'd much rather fall asleep with you in his arms, he's glad his newfound predicament keeps you entertained so, and dozes off underneath your lovingly-crafted plushie mountain. It is comfortable, as promised.
