In rural regions of Überwald, there exist Hogswatch traditions which entail the existence of a large, hairy creature with chains and a switch of birch twigs, whose job it is to punish the naughty. By pure coincidence, those same regions of Überwald tend to produce Hogswatch cards which depict eager looking men being stolen away by large, beautiful women who are meaningfully holding whips and chains.

The practice is also beginning to take root in Ankh-Morpork, thanks in part to Überwaldian expats such as Moist Von Lipwig, who are really into this sort of thing for some reason.

The two Spirits of the Winter Season

Santa Claus, Once known as St. Nicholas the patreon saint of children. a good man who gave to those in need. His Spirit lived on as a Winter Spirit. he along with his allies of Winter Gnomes, Elves, Toys and Reindeer. he continues to give to those in need and reward those who have show the true spirit of the Yule Holiday. for in his eyes, Naughty or Nice the people of the world are under his protection from the freezing, unforgiving cold of winter

Krampus, created alongside Santa, casted from his shadow. while Santa embodies the goodness, care and sees the wonder and the compassion of man. Krampus sees the vile, the cruel and the unworthy. representing winters wrath and punishes the naughty with his Minions of Trolls, Yule lads, The Yule cat, Yule Deer, Demonic Toys and snowmen. for in his eyes those who lost the spirit of the holidays will be bounded to his cold blooded claws.
